Joel Nicolosi

Left five, then right six tightens, sixty, then small bump, hairpin right*

The nose of the car pointed briefly down the mountain pass as the tires rotated fiercely against a slick combination of snow, gravel, mud and a decades old cracked asphalt that hadn’t seen maintenance since it was first hastily laid by one of Solaris County’s various logging companies in the postwar boom. Joel’s hand worked the shifter, just a quick pull with every change up through the gears as the car charged down the hill spraying the loose contents of the beaten roadway in a rooster tail behind. The hairpin turn approached rapidly and he could see the break in the road where Max, his co-driver, notes denoted a bump- a deformation from years of water running over the same area, creating a shallow channel. Beyond there was no guardrail and a picturesque view of the open landscape that expanded east in all directions. He kept his foot down, cut the turns and squared up to hit the divot in the road evenly.

Driving the car had become nearly as natural as piloting the 300, perhaps moreso, though the physical demands were different. There were no real straights to pause and take a breath. Every section was an intense twenty to thirty minute drive that required complete focus. The little VW Rally Car was a simple machine. It just had to be driven. He didn’t operate the controls as much as he simply thought about them in rhythm with the pacenotes and the melody of the rise and fall of the rpms. His hands and legs moved naturally with the pitch and roll of the suspension while his mind kept mental notes of the gear position. They jumped the small channel and he rocked the wheel hard giving the handbrake lever a quick tug watching the nose briefly as the tail came around. The right front dipped only slightly into the ditch as the car rotated the corner, but Joel’s eyes were already watching down the next long descent section as Max called out another line of notes. The exhaust howled against the mountainside as he again put the pedal on the floor.

The winding trails of Mount Atlas were more akin to the Whales or Monte Carlo Rally, but as the Team Principle emphasized, if they could master car control on the old backwoods logging routes, Jamaica would be a cakewalk. In his mind, Joel only wanted to get on the podium, if nothing else, just getting there would place him as the first American to ever make it. If he could win, he would also be the first man to ever win the Sol City GP and a WRS event. Simply being in the running had ramped the media attention considerably. He was sure they had a winning car, the German engineers from VW tinkered with them night and day, when he and the other team weren’t busy ramming then through the woods, but so did everyone else with their entries: Factory teams from Citroen, Toyota, Hyundai and even a British-based team with Ford backing would be competing with much more experienced drivers. They were effectively the black-sheep of the group with an aptly named sponsorship.

The road ahead dipped under the public drive up to the observatory. A sweeping right hander under a bridge and Joel was driving through the side window as they drifted the long turn, however an unusual splash of white above caught his eye as they passed under the bridge. Bright sunlight glinted off the surface though he could tell it wasn’t snow. Joel pulled the handbrake again cutting the turn short. Max glanced up from his notes, sensing the motion of the car not in agreeance with his commands. He looked at the GPS unit in the center of the console then quizzically at Joel as the car slid to a stop facing the inside of the curve and a rock wall. “What is it? What’s wrong?” He asked. His South African dialect evident.

Joel craned his neck slightly and looked up against his harnesses and pointed. “What the hell is that?”

Max regarded him strangely with a raised eyebrow and turned his head likewise looking up the steep escarpment. “That’s a car.” He nearly didn’t believe the words as they came out of his mouth.

Releasing his restraints and removing his helmet, Joel opened the door and stood looking up for a moment cupping his hands around his eyes to shield away the light of the sun. “Shit, it’s a Bentley.” He said with some astonishment. The scene reminded him of the aftermath of the T-Rex attack in Jurassic Park when the Explorer was pushed over the side of the embankment and sat precariously downward in a tree. A few sturdy branches cradled the front of the car, but the silver wings and the letter B across the nose were unmistakable. He squinted looking harder through the dark windshield and immediately felt his stomach tighten. “Fuck, call the police.” He said turning back to Max. “There’s still a body in it.”

Marinalia Romus Olympus "Mali"

The Pit Night Club . Tuesday Evening . Sol city Happy Night .

Tuesday Evening

...

Having got a quick cab over earlier to her apartment and dropping a message to save them some ice cream, a rather cheerful Marlin greeted Xia, her cousin, and his girlfriend, add Victoria whom the small, yet also icer eyed raven haired sister with a cane was intresting. Well her cousin was not entirely sure how to take the younger Romus sister.

Her apartment was not small but 4 people, thr lack of room meant she ended up close to Xia and resting her legs over Xia's and took a little advantage of being so close to share a few kisses and little moments.

It was a fun evening, and her cousins girlfriend seemed, well she was not sure from a single meeting. At least Carlo had someone to keep him distracted from her. Not that Xia would let that ship even be thought of. Convincing her to retire early was easy ernough, especially to make the most of time and hoped Carlo did not mind a alittle noise, well too bad as they where happy to say the least and noise hapoend. Waking up was difficult, groaning and forcing herself away from her warm girlfriends arms and inviting body to get a somewhat indecent robe, cheeky... Planned she was sure and underwear on the side but she could find and quickly vanished into bathroom before grabbing a coffee and so before bidding her a heated goodbye to grab a cab home, change into uniform and then off to work, slightly tired... But worth it!

Not sure if she gave anyone a eye ful on she darted quickly in and out earlier as well, it definitely was not the kind of thing she wnated anyone but Xia in that particular company. It did make her laugh after though, and Xia found the funny side. Her work mates thought she was rather too cheerful, a alittle tired, and hair a tad out of place that morning, granted the hints where Acurate but she tried not to give that game away.

...

Victoria started back at work, well a slightly different role. She was too near the giant communications systems to be considered entirely recommended to have such a vuntable life form nearby. A adult was one thing, but not a unborn baby. Ending up working in satalite department on cryptotologey. It was fun though and everyone seemed pretty welcoming to the small raven haired woman.

She had chance to spread her skills abit. Learn new ones and work on a mix of departments for abit, that would keep her from Borden and also let her widen her abilities. All in all much as a little frustrated, it had options to gain.

...

The sisters lives where pretty less dramatic suprisingly for them, dates, lunches and little things. Marinalia wrote out thr flight plan for Paige sat in her saved items and printed. A few alternate planes to, she was anything but prepared for firday.

...

Friday

...

Firday began a normal day, pretty quiet and a day on standby hopefully. But Paige had asked and had the flight plans ready just incase. Tossing a bag into thr back section for small cargo and bits. Just incase... She hoped... But hey, her dad had said paranoid was sensible if you believed it might happen!

Smiling, she still remembered Tuesday night, short, too short especially having to leave that morning so early when she just wnated to cuddle and make most of breakfast in bed. Her revalry was thrown off when looking out over to see smoke rising from the city and the radio was going crazy, multiple reports, emergency codes and more. Reports of a explosion where far more concerning as that meant they could be locking down the airport and other locations. "Danger 31 Alpha to all aircraft. Downtown fire. Heliport centre to emergency redirect points Alpha. Danger of foreign object damage due to wind shift. Avoid city approach north east."

Marlin knew it. Of course. Piage was jinxed? Warming up and getting the engines running, all the Helicopters where moving quickly from the pads. The heliport was close ernough to be effected and smoothly navigated up, through the slightly twisting route thanks to the skyline. Her destination was the Luna sports centre and large fields. Thanks to the unknown cause the airport had closed off unessacery traffic until confirmed. She hours of fuel spare having just topped the tanks earlier. Dodging quickly between the buildings, the fire and winds made it a intresting exit with a fair bit of swearing thanks to the shitry air currents.

...

But, Flying over seeing colums of smoke tide from the tower... And the Run. A quick check on local radio detailed a unknown fire at club... Club... Frak, just tell. Club eather! That was plain strange to say thr least. The next oddity as brought thr helicopter lower, a few bars of hendrix where cut off by the ground radio chatter. The sports centre was dark, lights off and so... That... Was strange. Circling round a circuit or two before landing to check. This was... Strange. Part of her worried a alittle for her girlfriend if she was working, but that had to wait till she was safely on the ground.

Giving the helicopter a little kick and bringing it into a slightly more showy landing, "Laura" clearly painted on the nose in a flowing scrypt along its smooth design."Atchual. This is Valkirye. Safely at Alpha. Let the old man know Lee not far behind me.

Safely on the deck. Valkirye out. "

Jumping down from the helicopter, long blonde hair bouncing and her leather flight jacket over neat office uniform and riding boots to knee, vintage aviators glittering and closing the doors. She sent Xia a quick text, watching a second helicopter come into land, a little older but equally kicking up a loud dust clout on the grassy fields spinning its tail slightly to kick a wave of dust over the field over a empty area of field.
Hey Cutie...

Look to the fields. Emergency landing spot...
Certain blonde pilot whom likes a cuddle?

Mali x

Cheerfully watching the crowds, well there might be a few kids getting inquisitive. She enjoyed showing the kids in a way, it was fun seeing the enthusasam. Watching Lee land beside her, least the old man would be happy his son was one of thr birds safely to there spots.

...

Victoria was working out after a strange week, she still was unsure about her relationships, future and a great many things she was reconsidering. Thanks to her rather varied physical condition both historic and present or was a rather gentle one, going though things. Joking with her admitly rather cute trainer as she went though there routine, a while going over the changed needed it was nice to have somthing normal ish... Just a day at the gym... Even if thr personal trainer had to consult with a Dr how best to do there exercises.

The whole snow white esquire combination of pale skin and raven blaxk hair did earn her a few jokes when she was snacking on a apple part way. A half hour or so later as normal she got changed mentally noting to ask if a swimming was allowed, it might break up her routine. That's where normal seemed to end as leaving throwing on a skirted coat that helped hide how dramaticly thin she was partly. However much she tried, some things did not. Thinking about grabbing a smoothie suddonly the lights failed across the entire building and various machines shut down almost instantlwoth Suprised runners falling as treadmills failed.

Light of her phone shining out to try and not trip over and slipping her pepper spray into a spare hand. After her sisters experience and hers. Sol city was meaning taking no chances. Add her father's lesson s in Paranoia... Not paranoid if someone was out to get you! His job did not exactly make friends or was humanitarian work!

A quick check of her phone, the break news was a explosion... Unknown cause... Club eather! Smoke rising from afar in the city hogh rises and the loud noise of helicopters landing.... What the hell was going on in Sol city? Tapping away rapidly, Cardinal would take a while on cell phone speeds. The program was power hungry but extremely secure.

Stood by a window, she watched a sadly familiar sight, smoke rising from afar was a all to regular thing off the coasts of Africa when her dad took them on a somewhat less safe than regular travel brochure but eye opening trip. Africa, Middle East. All manner of spots not on the travel guide. It truely was a experience! Maybe she should reconsider her father's offer?

Sitting at home, high and depressed.
Interacting with: Leo, Marcus, Paige, and her mother.

Devastated.

That was the word that completely summarized the feeling Dustynn felt through her bones as she heard and witnessed on the news of her work place blown into pieces by an explosion. All of her hard work to make the place comfortable, all the hours and many of nights spent working her ass off. Leo's dedication and dream, lost in a blink of an eye. Marcus, even though he was new to the job- became such a good friend and coworker in just that short amount of time. Dustynn had been on the phone with both of them earlier that morning when the news hit, the sheer anger and disappointment in her voice. Leo assured it would all be okay, but Dustynn knew this wasn't just going to be okay.

She had texted Paige after the phone call, out of anger;

"What the fuck did you do?"

The warning she had received Tuesday proved this wasn't an accident. Why were all these things happening to her, why did she ever have to meet Paige that night at the police station? Dustynn threw back a few pills chasing it with vodka- her body strewn across her makeshift bed and living room couch, her pajamas still clinging to her body.

She wanted to scream, fight, cry.

All she could do was the last one, as her tears streamed down her pale cheeks she rubbed them away haphazardly with the palms of her hands, sniffing loudly to keep the mucus in her nose and not anywhere else. "Baby, you okay?" the sound of her mother's voice was calming as felt her embrace quickly. There was something about a mother's relationship with her daughter that despite the hell she put her through, was the best comfort to be had. "The club blew up." she stated, her voice a bit raspier than usual and harder to understand from the sobs. Dustynn's mother cooed as she pet her daughter's head, tucking her dark hair behind her ears as she looked at her quietly for a moment.

"It will be okay." the words stung more, but Dustynn nodded.

She didn't want to hear that phrase, it didn't mean anything in that moment. Leaning over, Dustynn planted her head on the arm of the couch, making room for her mom to sit down as they continued to watch the new's play clips over and over again of the fire fighter team fighting the flames and investigating the destruction.

The bathroom had never been painted.

Leo stood in front of the smouldering rubble that was once his club, the explosion and subsequent fire reducing it to nothing more than a pile of ash. He had comprehensive insurance to cover any eventuality but that didn't matter to him, he had built the club from the ground up to be the go to place for the cities metalheads. It was as if a part of himself had died in the fire, the fact that what he had spent much of his time creating had been taken away in an instant just didn't sit well with him at all. He looked up at the sky with the smell of smoke still taunting his nostrils and cursed whoever was behind the entire thing. While the loss of his club was upsetting it was the impact it would have on his employees that concerned him the most. The second the police had reached him about the fire he began to call them all to make sure they were alright.

Fortunately nobody was hurt in the explosion and ensuing fire, but Leo wasn't satisfied with just that. When he had finished each call to his employees he began to call other clubs, shops and restaurents on the run asking if they could provide temporary employment to his team. When people say crisis situations bring people together, they are not lying. Each member of his staff was provided a job, his two closest members of staff, Dusty and Marcus, had been offered work waiting tables are Fulcini's Bistro. While a change from bar work, it at least gave them a chance to keep earning money until Leo could get the club back up and running.

Leo stood there looking at the rubble for close to an hour. His phone repeatedly ringing and messages constantly beeping didn't break his gaze from the rubble. As the time rolled by he got further and furhter into his thought's and from the anger and sadness came a glimmer of hope.

This will not be the end of the club and it will not be the end of me.
There are other people out there much worse off than me. This isn't a time
to feel sorry for myself. I should use this time to plan...Plans to make,
not just the club, but the city itself a better place.

Leo quickly removed his phone from his pocket, the screen already lit up from the barrage of texts and missed calls sent his way. He scrolled through his address book and found the entry Bookkeeper. He clicked on it and pressed the phone to his ear. The phone rang for a few moments before a females voice came through from the other side. "Hello, Mariah Davies speaking?" Mariah had worked closely with Leo for a long time, originally helping him get the club set up before being more involved in his affairs.

"Mariah it's Leo..." The woman tried to speak, presumably to give Leo some sympathy. The man was drowning in well wishes and sympathy so cut her off before she could get a word in. "Remember I told you about that e-mail recently from what's his face and I asked you to look into those properties in Southside? Well this fire may be a blessing in disguise after all the insurance you made me fork out for. Do you have time to meet up with what you found out about Southside? I think it's time to strongly consider moving forward."

The conversation carried on for a brief moment before Leo ended the call. As he placed his phone back into his pocket he turned from the rubble, giving it a symbolic wave before heading to his car. He was on his way to meet Mariah at her office and even with everything that had happened, he found hope for the future.

"I think I should dye my hair blue. Or is that too bright maybe? Maybe dark blue? ...Hm. Yeah you're right, warm colors might be better." Capella hummed as he stared at himself in the bathroom mirror. Like every weekday, the blonde was up early so that he could make it to his classes on time, but with today being one of those good days were he could actually make out figures and colors with the right light, he'd been stuck in the bathroom just staring at himself and pulling gently at his hair. "Ma! ...Mom! MA!!" After a bit of shuffling around in the other room, Capella stared as the door opened, the black hair of his mother being the first thing he noticed.

"Did you have to yell? You knew I was in the other room."
"More important question! Can I dye my hair?"
"Even more important question! Can you hurry up and get ready?"
"That--"
"We're not talking about this right now, Capella." This caused the boy shut his mouth almost immediately. She never called him by his full name unless he was in trouble or she was stressed out about something. "Honestly, with the news about Club Aether and that fire, I wish you could just stay home or come with me to go and pick up Toasty from the vet. You said you had an exam, yes? The faster you get ready means the faster you leave which means the faster you come back home, so hurry up, please."

She...she had a point, Capella admitted internally as he gave the shorter woman an exasperated sigh then a short nod and followed her out of the bathroom before heading into his room to get dressed. The boy wasn't really the type to pay attention to the news, mostly because he always felt so removed from it. Bad things happened to people every day. Sooner or later, it's gets to a point where it's almost hard to really care for what's going on around the area or even the world. Aside from his eye disease, nothing particularly bad has happened to Capella, so it was hard to be really scared or stressed about the events going on so close to home. Nothing bad could happen to him, so there's nothing he needed to be particularly afraid of...right? So he simply did as he was told and got himself dressed.

Putting on his favorite long sleeved shirt (one that was made out of two different fabrics, solid gray on the left and red flannel on the right) for good luck, jeans, and black converse, of course he contemplated wearing a hat to cover up his unruly head, settling for a black beanie. Stumbling over to get his walking stick and putting on his backpack, Capella quietly made his way into the living and towards the door. This would have been the time that kissed his mother goodbye and all that jazz, but after the little scolding he got a few minutes ago for a mostly innocent question, his mood had effectively dropped. Already having breakfast prior to heading to the bathroom to freshen up, the blonde expertly unclasps his walking stick and opened the front door to head out.

"I'm going to school."
"No wacky colors..." The strange statement had the boy almost trip over himself, only halfway out the door at that point.
"Uh..." He trailed, not sure how to respond. "What did you just say?"
"No wacky colors...and be careful out there, okay?" A look of surprise was quickly replaced with an excitable smile before saluting and hurrying out of the door.

Josephine Jacobs

Location
Home, The Western Shore

All of this had been a mistake.

Josephine continued to repeat this to herself as she scrolled through multiple news articles on her phone, stunned. Sometime between Thursday night and this morning, a local club had been blown to smithereens. Miraculously no one was harmed, but it was astonishing nonetheless.

I must be cursed.” She thought, selfishly, “This dark cloud follows me anywhere I go... ” She nearly laughed out loud at her own thoughts. “How foolish… thinking I could escape…Ha!

Over the past couple of days, Josephine had continued minimal contact with her friends and family who tried reaching out to her. She still had not spoken to her ex-boyfriend at all. The man had been going through a rollercoaster of emotions, as recorded by his text messages to her. First, he was sweet. Apologizing and begging her to come back, giving her empty promises to be a better person. After his text messages and calls went unanswered, he became nasty. The insults flew as he called her every name in the book, telling her how he hoped that she was dead and that he was better off without her. His voicemails were just as bipolar, but she continued to ice him out, despite not being able to bring herself to simply block his number. Weak, she called herself.

She heard her cell phone buzz across the new coffee table, her best friends name lighting up across the screen to indicate a text message.

“Get out, get some fresh air. Things will get better, J.”

She sighed as she read the message. Zoey was right. She needed to stop sulking by herself and go do something that might actually improve her new life. After a shower, first on the list was to look for a new job; she wouldn’t be able to survive on her savings for long. Downtown was likely to be a mess, but it was also the best option she had to find somewhere that was hiring.

An hour or so later...

Location
What Remains of Club Aether
Interacting With @CaptainSully

After handing in resumes and filling out applications for several open positions around town, Josephine decided to take a walk towards where Club Aether had once stood. Like many others who were gathering in the area, she was curious to see what was going on. Not to mention there was a very small, hole-in-the-wall type of coffee shop not too far from the rubble.

Standing in line for her coffee, she stared out the window at the mess that use to be the club. It was unlike anything she had ever seen, which was clearly the same for many others who were rubbernecking at the sight of it. The small coffee shop was packed with watchers, and the place was clearly understaffed for the influx of people.

Just as she was about to be called up to the cashier, she noticed a man standing in front of the ruins. She stared at him for a brief moment, suddenly realizing that he was the man the articles had been posting pictures of; The Owner of Club Aether, Mr. Sullivan. Her heart sunk for him as he stood there, motionless with an aimless look on his face that she recognized all too well.

“Next!”

Two medium caramel macchiatos, please.

Once her two coffee’s were done, Josephine took them and crossed the street to approach the owner of Club Aether, who was just hanging up the phone and turning away from what remained of his business.

Hi, sir, uh…..

What the hell am I doing?” She began second guessing herself as she opened her mouth to get his attention. Too late to turn back now.

It just… it looked like you could use this...” She reached out her hand to give him the macchiato, “It’s a caramel macchiato… they are usually pretty strong, it’s espresso… but...” She gestured towards Club Aether and frowned, hoping she was expressing her sympathy correctly. She had never been very good at social interaction, but she certainly was empathetic towards this man. They both had to start over, in one way or another.

Coffee usually makes me feel a little better, so… ” She gave him a sheepish smile.

I probably look like an insane person trying to drug him right now… Idiot...” She started mentally preparing herself for utter rejection.

Paige Kennedy

The wind shifted briefly curling the smoke and embers away through the morning sky. It was cold downtown, damn cold. Like the first time she arrived in Sol City fresh out of Florida. Paige leaned against the front of her car wrapped her in heavy blue Marshal’s jacket as police worked the perimeter around the scene. There wasn’t much to do as there wasn’t much left. A pumper truck arrived through the barricades to help bed down the remaining flames. She ran a finger over her lips looking on at what was left of Club Aether. They had heeded her warning and no one was around when the explosion levelled the building. In truth, she wasn’t sure what would happen, but the lead up just kept them in the back of her mind: The fight, the bad press, the arrests, the sales and the offers. One thing was for sure, the demise of the Club was definitely not an accident, but it made no sense. Why would Nikki destroy a building he was just trying to add to list? Elvin wasn’t answering his phone.

Wisps of blonde danced over her eyes burning forward in thought, not focused on anything. He could have poisoned the water or just had the owner killed outright. The Syndicate had the resources. No, he was proving a point. He didn’t really need the property. It was just like Shannon had said, Sol City was his big move, but there was no motion at any of the banks. Paige knew the Club had to be the distraction, but from what? She exhaled a breath of frustration. They were definitely pros. The closer she got to them, the better they seemed at covering their tracks. The files were like tracking a ghost. She felt sorry for Dustynn. The girl didn’t know what was really going on and Paige knew that telling them the extent of their case against the Giancanas would have only put all of them in greater danger. For now they were still alive and that was enough. If Nikki wanted them dead, he wouldn’t just stop at blowing up the building. Her phone buzzed inside her jacket and she dug it out finding a call incoming from Xi.

“Hey, you at the Club still?” Xi said in his regular, unphased monotone.

Paige came out of her thoughts at the sound of his voice. “Yeah, I’m still here, what have you got?” She couldn’t hide the disappointment in her voice at how things were going on the ground and hoped he had good news. It felt like they were starting over from scratch.

“You talked to Santos?” Xi asked.

“No, you got a line on him?”

“Yeah,” Xi replied. There was a short pause in his voice and Paige instinctively knew the news was definitely not good. He sighed a slight breath of exasperation before he continued. “Yeah, staties found his car wrecked over a mountainside out west. Somebody called it in, local race team or somethin’.”

“Shit,” Paige spat. “You’re there aren’t you?” Her glance narrowed. She didn’t feel an ounce of sympathy for Elvin, but she did feel like she was missing a lead that could help them.

“Yup.”

There was silence between them for a moment. She wasn’t about to board a chopper and fly out all the way to the mountain range. She would have to concede that one to her partner. Her competitive nature firmly took its stance. There was more coming, she knew it, it had to.

“At first they thought the steering wheel caught him right on the temporal when he went over the side, but if you look close... you can see the knuckle marks.”

Paige’s eyes widened slightly at the scene imagined, “Jesus…” She immediately regretted uttering the broken commandment as if sensing her father’s unapproving glare within earshot and she happened a glance over her shoulder. An officer came around passing out cups of coffee and she took one listening to Xi on the other side of the line and a radio attached to the officer’s lapel as he passed by. “Hold on Xi,” She tucked the phone in the crane of her neck and snatched the radio off the man’s chest while he was still passing, hearing the sound of a familiar name come across the channel. The officer cut her a sharp stare, but she batted her eyelashes enough to disarm his apprehension for a few seconds. “What did they just say?”

Seeing the large, circled star on her jacket, the officer smugly accepted his radio back and asked for a repeat of the last call:

“Power outage reported at Luna Sports Facility”

“I’ll call you back, I’m going to the stadium.”

Victoria Darya Romus "Vika"

Victoria leant back against a wall for balence as she typed, Cardinal and Victoria where unsure, the whole situation did not add up. Especially when news of fire, art collections and so. Someone did not burn down buildings over a few paintings. Or did they. Between that, a building blowing up and all the rumours of somthing bad on horizon... Who knew if it was fraud, insurance scams or somthing genuinely more.

Deciding a look was a good idea, least now it might be calming down and cordons closer than at first before thry thought Thete might be a secondary device or plan placed around the Run area. It was strange. She could not help shake the feeling that they really needed to know what was going on to keep out its way. It seemed like only rhe start of somthing bigger.

Heading out leaving the blacked out sports centre, dropping Marilania a quick message where she was, just incase. The drive over across the city however short was difficult thanks to traffic and only just found a spot in about a 5 minute walk for her away from the Run District. The smoke rising from the tower firther away was a alittle ominous, same with the low key smell of smoke... And almost burned... Fuel, exhaust... Somthing. Whatever had burned, it was not nice.

Getting closer the smell grew slightly, blackned concrete, the smell of burnt materals and whatever was in it when it burned. Leaning against her cane she spotted somthing on ground, charred metal, but also warped from heat. That was a strange find and puckered it on her way making to sort out her boot.

Suprised, she almost went into some young man pushing up with a white cane, sight problems right? Leaning on the intricate blue cane, and concealed snow flake patten steel within, she gave a apologetic look. The person she Suprised, well seemed to be half concentrating on somthing else. Giving a apologetic look and leant one arm on the snow flake cane as she took a quick picture or two pretending to be finding a signal that began to automaticly upload and get sent over. "Oh.. Zorry! Did not see vou there. You alright? Vy balence is a little uncompetitive at times. " adding in a English accent with a clear bleed in of Russain, a good 8 inches shorter, dark grey eyes, pale skin and raven black long hair dressed warmly in jeans, boots and a slightly skirted dark wool coat to try and look healthier weight at least. "Shame about ze night club, me and my sister did Tatu on stage to get unbanned."

Nothong someone else talking to Leo nearby? That was handy, he might pass a comment or so. Even the quick low key picture she grabbed showed this explosion was not small force, some had cooked off somthing big to get a fire that large and intense. Her father was a arms dealer, she had a strange childhood growing up, trips to strange places, stranger people and stranger times for Victoria Darya Romus.

Waving over, she double checked no certain southern marshals where about, after the art show and being a clear member of team Sio, well not a friend! Part of was curious, but remember they came from the same area, Sio joining them... That was a mystery. "Leo. Sorry about the club, banned, unbanned, still a nice place. You never do anything by half mesures. Me and Darya could of done a good Tatu cover.

Sorry, kinda was just passing by after a gym session."
Glancing round more, she spotted someone taking. Thanks to her father she could tell, well the news said security was disabled prior and lack of footage. But surely it was located away from the club... For sheer purpose of this... Hmmm.. Turning to other person talking with coffee, she seemed to have been equally curious about events though somthing strange about her. "Hi there, you look a alittle lost. Need any directions? News ish but I know the city centre. " Just being friendly, Victoria really could smell the burnt fuel small, though not quite identify it. No harm for a short time, but coffee shop staff might wnat to get a walk and some fresh air on break. The woman just made her a alittle curious, dark haired, taller, everywone on the planet seemed to share that statement, though somthing about her was... Curious.

Marilania fired off a quick message to Paige. She did offer to fly if need by and probbly help of she knew wheee she was as main pad in centre had been closed thanks to the fire ar some righbguys apartments. Meant to have a huge art collection though and worth a fortune. Maybe there was a few fakes in there and a isurence scam. Who knew with rich people?

Hi.

Had to redirect thanks to fire at sky scraper. You probbly know but I'm at Luna sports currently. We hard to miss. Flight plans ready to go, but need you to flash a badge first. Airspace is restricted until they work out cause and smoke and debries clear.

MRO.

The sports fields had gained a few more diffrent players than they normaly expected. A older Huey patten helicopter came into land that was in service of one of the smaller suppliers to the outer areas. A few places got a tad remote to drive to easily.

A quick text buzzed her phone, Victoria sent a message to her, the club... Sigh, Thry where trouble Magenets but they might as well know what was coming. It was safer to be able to get out of the speeding trouble trucks path.

Mali

You said to... But. Somthing iffy at Eather. Definitely strange events afoot. Somthing, strange. Things not adding up. Ashes. The club is clobbered.

Il be careful! Love you sis and safe flying!

Vika X

Ethan Aster

Location: Friday

Interaction: Marcus @Zaxter996

Mentions: Siobhan; Victoria @PrinceAlexus & Joel @Pilatus

Ethan’s fingers knocked out a new melody for a song that he’d been working on all week. That damned muse is just out of reach. Although this time she is a tall curvy redhead as opposed to a short brunette that is getting predictable. Who knows maybe Victoria will surprise me. He sighed and gave up. Going to the front hallway Ethan grabbed his coat and checked his news feed and noticed that Club Aether was pretty torn up. He shook his head as he smirked humorlessly. “Well shit. At least no one was hurt.”

Drew came down the hall and looked up at Ethan. “So been thinking about looping in that guy from Club Aether and he seemed decent. Be a good thing for him in the situation.”

Ethan nodded and hopped on facebook and contacted Marcus. Marcus we’re looking for another guitarist. You in? You know what they say about doors closing and all that.

Ethan’s phone rang and he picked up he was expecting this call. “Yes?”

“Well that footage was interesting to say the least. It’s been uploaded. Security systems are easier to hack in Hollywood.” The girl on the other end of the phone whined.

Ethan sighed. “Let me guess you want double?” He rubbed his head like he was getting a headache.

“He says double like I’m pulling teeth. It was hard enough to loop into the system but to wait till she talked to Cardinal and piggy back her IP and upload it making it seamless that she uploaded it to every overseas tabloid and a few of the choice one’s in the states. That was pure genius.”

Ethan grinned at that comment. “So be it. I’ll let Nikki know you’ve done your job.”

“Thank you. If I never hear from him again it’ll be too soon.” She hung up.

Ethan grinned then laughed. Victoria would be chasing down viral sex videos for a while. It would give him a reason for distance and it was a fail safe for him to wash his hands of her. But not yet. I still have plans for her.

Caroline Dawson

Friday Midmorning

Caroline would never forget getting the phone call at 8:10AM telling her to get down to the station right away. Caroline knew that it was serious because Bob-O was supposed to be on the air at the time and Stacey Ellis their news reporter was on instead detailing what had happened throughout the city in terms of the building and sports arena, but Caroline had cut off her radio before she heard about the club. It seemed like all Hell had broken loose, and as Caroline biked her way to the studio everyone was shuffling around in a daze. When she arrived at the station that was when her world was shattered. The entire staff was gathered in Bob-O's office and Caroline felt she was among a group of children who just found out about Santa. Scott Beckett, the mid-morning DJ, and Amy Carlton, a member of the sales team, were at the club when it exploded. Bob-O announced that they would be putting together on-air tributes featuring Scott's best moments and stories from the staff. They would also include remembrances of Amy from those who knew her. Bob-O asked Caroline to take care of the Scott tribute from the station as a group and to have her private tribute ready to go by her air shift at seven.

Caroline was in autopilot mode as she sat behind the mixing board in one of the production rooms just listening to an audio file of Scott do a crank call to Russell Wilson QB for the Seahawks. Scott impersonated Oakland Raiders head coach Jon Gruden, and he had Russell believing that the Raiders were on the verge of acquiring him in a mid-season deal. In the end Scott let Wilson off the hook and the Seattle QB had a great laugh over it, and the two actually became quite friendly after that. That was Scott Beckett a jolly soul with a heart of gold that made people laugh even when the joke was on them. Amy was one of Caroline's best friends at the station. She had known Amy liked Scott and Scott had feelings for Amy she encouraged them to go out with one another. Now Caroline's heart was broken and she wondered if it would ever be the same, because of what she did.

Caroline had was making the final edit when Bob-O walked in. He put his hand on her shoulder and he asked, "How's it going?"

Without looking up she replied almost mechanically as she studied the screen, "I'm almost done. I'm thinking of putting in the bit where Scott called the Mayor and edited that speech by the Governor that made it sound like he was getting ready to impeach him."

Bob-O spun the office chair Caroline sat in so he looked at her. He said, "Not how the tribute is going. How's it going with you?"

Caroline took a deep breath and wiped a tear as she said, "I don't know Bob. I just lost two people I cared for and tomorrow is the anniversary of my mom's death so I think I'm taking it pretty damn well."

Nodding slowly Bob said, "I also know what's eating at you."

Caroline just stared intently at Bob as he said, "It's not your fault." Caroline looked a bit taken aback as Bob said, "I know you were the one who not only got Scott and Amy to go out with each other, but you told them the club to go to."

Bowing her head Caroline closed her eyes and said, "I know that one day I won't blame myself, but right now I'm so numb with pain..." She raised her head as tears engulfed her eyes and Caroline shook her head and said, "Oh God, Bob..." She tried to say "why" but out came a high pitched shriek as she buried her head into Bob's chest and Caroline wept.

Stroking her hair Bob said, "It's not your fault kid. It's not your fault."

After a couple of moments Caroline pulled away and she wiped the tears away. She said, "Thanks for letting me let go Bob. I doubt that'll be the last time I do that."

Bob nodded and replied, "Anytime kid. Hey listen if you want to take off until Monday it's not a problem."

Quickly Caroline shook her head and said, "No, I got a job to do and, as cliche as it sounds, they would want me to get to it."

Nodding Bob replied, "Okay but if you change your mind let me know. The offer stands until 5PM."

Caroline said, "Thanks Bob. Now if you'll excuse me I got to finish up here."

Bob replied, "Sure hey make sure you include the bit about Scott calling you up as your dad. That was classic."

Caroline smiled as she said, "I put it in my private one."

Bob left the room and Caroline got back to work...as she felt a single tear roll down her face.

The smell of burning material was pretty evident in the air, it being enough to make the blonde boy want to cover his nose as he hurried his way over to catch the bus. It was honestly days like this when he wished he could drive or live closer to school. Going his normal route meant he'd have to pass by Aether Club, and that was probably the last place he wanted to be at the time. Thankfully, and probably the only good thing about this whole overnight fiasco, it meant that not that many people were outside, or at least no one was bothering him with questions of assistance and were more focused on trying to figure out what was going on.

Oh how he wished he could slip on a pair of headphones and just forget about everything around him, but unfortunately he didn't have that luxury. He even thought about texting his friend Wendy about the songs they'd get to choose from for evaluations, but that would have to wait until he got on the bus. This unfortunately lead to him focusing on the smell that just seemed to permeate the area, growing stronger and weaker as the wind carried the scent who knows where. He knew he could feel a headache coming, one that would bother him until he got home, but that would honestly be better than havi--

"Hm...?" Capella's train of thought, as well as his body, came to an immediate halt as he felt a small figure brush into him. Reflective eyes blinked twice before attempting to focus on the figure now next to him. Judging by the voice, she didn't sound like she was from here, and while she held an air of maturity about her, her stature left a lot to be desired; not that he'd say any of this out loud though. "O-Oh, um, don't worry about it, we all have something we can't control." He spoke politely, still unsure of if this girl (woman? petite lady? let's go with that) was even old enough to out at this time.

It was a little hard to get past the accent, but once the lady spoke again, Capella tilted his head. What the heck was Vatu? Was it a type of dance or music? He really wanted to ask, but felt like if he did, it would put his priorities in the wrong place. He'd have to check it out later...
"Yeah, I didn't go there often, but it does suck for whoever was in charge of the place. Wonder...wonder what happened..." The reflective eyed boy trailed as he used his free hand to reach into his pocket to check the time. It took a bit of squinting and his phone's built in 'tap-to-speak' program, but once he got it, Capella let out a quiet gasp. "Ah, I'm about to miss the bus. See you, Miss!" He called with a small smile before making his way down the street. There was no way he was missing this evaluation, even if it killed him.

Victoria Darya Romus "Vika"

Luna sports to Club Eather ruins . Finale day!

In hindsight to say Victoria had a good day was a oxymoron of thr hours gheat order, a long day indeed for the daughter of Vesarian Romus.

Thr person who bumped into her, well he sounded polite erbough but she also noticed the fanailar thoughts some people had how they struggled to come up with a answer for her... Well her. Not always a bad one, but she was too used to things to avoid noticing people's little ticks, her dark grey yes giving little away. Yeah... Well the club got blew up... The fact it was what looked ernough to donso much damage was telling. She had no idea what exactly but whatever it was possessed ernough force to devestate a entire club, burn concrete black with heat and deform metal was big. "Yep. Since a teanager or zere about. Hospitals suck worse than exams..." laughing trying to break tension, she remembered a lot of boring hours kieing in bed being prodded... It really sucked. "Zorry, Tatu. Before zey came to America.

Yeah, only went twice... But memorable, sad, but zere is no undo button. . Explosion, see ze entrence, its all forced outwards, it always seeks weakest point. Be careful, I hav a bad feeling about today.

I'm Vika, if vou ever bump into me again... Or hopefully not litirally. "
her compassion was not the greatest, she felt for people who lost jobs and owner in a sense but from signs, well explosions. Part of her brain could only think whoever owned the now ashes, well had serious enemies.

She did not want to scare him, but it was ture things where... Not exactly looking like the best day in the cities history.

Giving a cheerful wave, well bus, yeah they waited for no one but with traffic, definitely be running a good few minutes late if took the main route past the club, she Turner back to her phone that was vibrating like crazy before it dawned and leant heavily on her came before sitting on a concrete baridcade and swearing multiple times in Russian reading exactly what was trending on various viral sites.

Several where of alarm, others like Drya part worry, part joking she living up to her ancestry as was a cold night. Seeing the viral footage it was clearly hacked from her own CCTV which was even worse.... She was on balcony. Fully going at it, wearing just her ring and necklace. She did not even kknow where to begin with this one. Leaning her came by her leg she just gave up and ordered a take out decaf before slumping back onto the concrete and watching the notification wall cycle by until a few that merited far greater warning.

Luckily for her. They had seemed to not breach the security systems and encryptions on Cerberous or her more private sections and merely hacked the houses systems inside what she would call the outer ring. But that had done ernough damage as it was to begin with. They might work out who she was talking to but the end to end system would take weeks of work to break down the messages themselves, and even then it cycled every time you set started a new message to some, or a new file was sent. And unless every single part of code was correct, all 1024 parts, every single time taking weeks. There was a reason Victoria had a rather higher than minimum wage salary. Maybe a very skilled hacker could do more damage faster, but that was time and effort for very little reward.

Sending a quick message or 10 off, urgh, her family where gonna be so very happy about this, Maria might take it two ways, she was not sure, Oh and there was Ethan, her dad, and others... This was going to be a long day.

Mali... You must have seen.

Be careful till I secure house.
FUCK! and yes I get the pun... Fucked up fucking... Least there's not Audio! Knocked up and fucked up... Great eh!

Gah, luckily no mention of you yet or Xia. Il keep it that way if I can.
Vika X
hitting send, it would be a little time to resceyre the systems, the hack damage was unknown, or what exactly was done. A quick text to Dira, tickets to Moscow, open just incase. It was not cheap but it paid to have a back up plan. She did not want to run, but if it got too hot, well it was better to be safe than sorry.

A last message to Ethan, well urgh... That one was eating her up what even to do about that situation. It was plain strange and she had no idea which way the cards would fall.

Hi.

Gah, gonna be busy with this crap for a while, talk later. I have alot of mess to sort out. How did they even know!

Vika. X

Sighing, she glanced back round as her phone Cerberous was offline, the system was swapping and switching and would not be back online for a hour or so potentially.

<ACCOUNT = MILADY>
<DATA LINK TESTING / SECURITY TEST MODE>
<CERBERUS 1024 SCARMBLING ENCRYPTION 11%>
<ADSS DEFENSE MODE SECURE MOBILE - LOCKED>
<SYSTEM WILL RESTART ONCE SCAMBLE COMPLETE>
<CARRIER WAS COMPROMISED BY ATTACK . END TO END SECURED>

closing the warnings rolling by, thankfully she included a limited capacity to work out the small stuff for her and programmed it to handle such situations by locking out the attacker soon as possible.

Victoria was unsure what to do. She could head home now but the vultures likely already had laid siege to the gates waiting for her to return, urgh, she would have to find a place they would least expect if she wnated a few hours peace. Maybe solasis
University if needed, she still had a libiary pass from when she met a few computer students, giving them advice on careers and few tips on who really not to work for.

First things first. Call lawyer... Call home, Call her Boss and Dad. Maybe not quite in same order perhaps, Dad always gave her good advice, though that was of he was in radio rnage of anywhere civilised avaord ship. Remembering a photo on her desk from there rather... Iregular trip he took both sisters on, well yes. He had the iregular advice she needed.

...

Meanwhile back in Cardinals lair as jokingly was called, checking time on news and on the live feed outside club eather and a article noting it ended... Well that was somthing. It ended several minutes before? No way... So disabled or accessed the systems before the attack itself?

Now that was intresting. The club owners profile was up, social media, bio and so... What kind of enemies did you have he mused to no one. This was not some petty dispute if true. Least he knew to tell Victoria to keep out the way and to keep a eye out over the next few months that nefarious folks might be in a fight for power or money. Well both. Power was money and money was power..

Whatever happened, this Leo had upset someone rather alot, especially when the photos came in before the systems cut out as expected to an attack. Whoever blew that place up was definitely worth keeping a arm, or miles lengh.

The sun peered in through the gap in the curtains giving away that it was a new day once more. The television was still on persumably on a movie channel that Joy had subsribed to. There was a scene playing, empty streets with lots of broken down cars and destroyed buildings. A person was running dodging the many cars that were scattered over the street. When he ran alongside a shuttlebus he suddenly got grabbed by the arm as the scene jumped to the person that got him. It was a zombie that gave a loud groan before it continued to eat its meal in nonchalant manner yet the groaning continued. Joy poked her head out from the covers of her bed while groaning quite deeply just like earlier. She continued to groan as she sat upright holding her hand against her head in pain. The sound of the television had been off since yesterday night, she had turned her television on to watch at something while she was clearly super drunk and couldn't sleep because of it. At least for a few minutes that was.

Her mind started drifting to think about what she had done yesterday. Ordered too much booze was one but she also met a few new people.

The two sisters who did perhaps the worst cover of tatu ever. At least that is what she thought. The crowd did seem to enjoy it too much. They were an energetic couple so she gave it to them for this once.

She remembered the homeless man that had entered the club and almost fell unconscious from the lack of nutrition he had. She didn't have much to do with him but she thought it was quite sad for him to have ended up this way. She could tell it wasn't because of his own stupid actions that he had ended up this way. He was too kind to have been the cause of that. She offered him a small deal, just that much she could do right. She gave him a letter with her address, name and phone number and told him that he could stay at her place for a few nights or get some money or food. She didn't want to completely take care of him but just the least so he could get back to work again and earn something for himself.

Dustynn who had been so kind to her to help chose a drink and even give her one for free. She did seem like the cool type, even helping the homesless man with some food and water. Joy would want to meet her again someday and not as job.

Marcus had been her general talk person the entire night even though she hadn't said much. It was a nice man to be around, he even was so kind to chat with her about non related work stuff. Chosing singing over cleaning though, she couldn't agree less. Joy would gladly meet him again the next time she would go. Or outside work, she never caught any of their names however which was quite sad.

Well it was probably better to not meet them for a while anyhow seeing as how she had clearly fallen asleep at the bar and was escorted out when the club was gonna close. She clearly had had too much yesterday. She barely even managed to find her bicycle to drive home. Let stand get home... Oh well.

Joy gave another growl while rolling towards the side of her bed to watch on her phone. She was awake before her alarm. She had to get up early again in order to work, it probably won't be a good idea to work but she had to. Joy rolled with her blanket of her bed tumping onto the hard wooden floor and stood up slowly shuffeling through the clothes scattered room to shower. While she was on her way she managed to find a pizza slice on the kitchen counter from yesterday evening to nibble on. It was cold but tasty.

After a long shower session she moved out with but a towel protecting her as she dressed herself in her work uniform and did her hair just like any other day. She 'cleaned' up he room a little before moving out.

The club she had gone to yesterday slowly came into view as she was cycling to work. It was... smouldering!? Joy picked up the pace and stopped alongside the street to watch in awe. Perhaps the first time she was showing sympathy on her face. What had happened? The building had colapsed unnaturally and caught flame. She stared at the rubble for quite some time before spotting the owner. It was too sad for words, what had happened in that short amount of time. Was it her bad luck? Or just an unfortunate accident. Joy gulped and spoke to the owner to show her sympathy.

"I feel sorry for your club mister. I give you my best of wishes and luck."

Joy kept it short since she was just another customer at his club. She shouldn't keep him to long. He probably was quite busy after this accident.

Joy continued to her work just around the corner and stepped in with a wrecked look on her face. Atleast she was the one to open so she didn't have to hear from her colleagues that she looked this bad. She removed all the seats from the tables and brewed herself her own coffee as startup together with some freshly baked food from the back of the store. She patiently waited at the counter for her first customers. There wasn't much else to do anyhow.

Siobhan

Location: Mountain track, old lumber mill

Interaction: Joel @Pilatus

Mentions: Paige

Siobhan watched the dash cam intently as Joel drove beautifully. She had asked to come out here with him since Paige had warned her not to go near downtown. Siobhan took that a step farther and decided not to be in town at all. She had passed it along to her parents who had heeded the warning.

Siobhan was burning with curiosity as to why Paige had left such specific instructions. Stay away from town…? The curiosity is driving me banana crackers. I’m sure it’s about an ongoing investigation that she can’t talk about. Well we shall see. She saw Joel driving from the wrong direction and jogged out to meet him.

She went white as a sheet when they told her about the car and someone in it. She teeters and grabs Joel and looks at him then she looks back toward town. She can see black smoke in the area that Paige told her not to go to. She had been on a kick of just randomly taking pictures of people on the street and she was planning on doing the Run today. Oh god Paige just saved her life!!! She’d have to get her a new BMW or something.

Shaking off the swoon she looked back at Joel. “I was going to do some shots of the city about where all that smoke is...Paige told me to stay away from Downtown. I was going to go in and get lighting shots and people who were in early...so I came out here and got shots of the track instead...That could have been me.” She swallowed audibly and hugged him. She trembled a little but took comfort from him.

Soaking up the attention for a moment Siobhan took a deep breath. Exhaling she looked around. “Well I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that the emergency services have been called. But we have no idea how long that will be. I did manage to make lunch. And before you ask it is not a sandwich.”

Joel Nicolosi

Joel drove up and parked under the service tent finding Sio waiting. After discovering the wrecked car, they doubled back and took the parkway more directly to the old mill where the team was based. He was mildly irritated they couldn’t finish their practice stage and was really in the zone when they abruptly stopped. If the car had been empty, then they would have picked back up and kept going and in his own private thoughts, Joel had thought about doing it anyway. He’d been around cars his whole life and was uniquely aware of how stupid people could be behind the wheel. More than a few of his creations had met similar ends as the white Bentley, with many of those endings being decidedly more gruesome for their owners. At any rate, they were nearly done with the stage and would have been headed back anyway, so it wasn’t a total loss and he felt like he’d done his civic duty for the year.

Shutting the engine down, he and Max stepped out as the crew set to work. Joel took his helmet and Hans restraint off running a hand through his matted hair a few times while giving a quick wink and a smirk to Sio. The cold air felt good against the sweat that accumulated over his face and he rubbed his eyes as she spoke. The team boss told them over the radio about the excitement going on in town and he was glad enough to be miles away from it. He’d come to like the mountains more and more in his time with Rebellion and the prospect of making a move was becoming increasingly more appealing: Clean air, quiet and no drama. All he needed was a south facing cabin and some garage space. However, Sio’s admission that she had nearly been in the midst of the trouble caused his expression to fade some. Empathy wasn’t really one of his strengths and he really didn’t know what to say. She was here with him, distracting the crew with her cooking and looks and that was perfect. There was no need to worry about the rest.

“Yeah, I called it in.” Joel replied nonchalant. “Looked like someone probably had too much to drink and went over the side.” He said. “It happens.” He leaned back and looked at her for a moment not entirely sure if she was trembling from the cold or from genuine fear. Taking her wrist firmly under his driving glove, he placed her hand firmly on his stomach with a lopsided smirk in time for her to feel and audibly hear the grumble of emptiness underneath his driving suit. “I’m so hungry, I don’t care what it is,” He said seeing other members of the crew, including his co-driver listening intently at the prospect of a freshly prepared meal like meerkats peeking over the plain on their hind legs. The team headquarters was comfortably furnished and often staffed by a professional chef, though in Joel’s experience, Sio’s cooking was every bit as good as the pros. “Hope you made enough for the whole class.”

Victoria Darya Romus "Vika"

Luna sports to Club Eather ruins . Finale day!

Victoria was certainly having one hell of a day, first you find out the city is blowing up, get caught in a sex scandal, and then find out whoever was behind the first, definitely was someone to avoid. One name may eventually match, yep, definitely not using that information publicly though. Be handy for playing the city stock market if she knew if a business or someone else was in for a hard time.

If she could not continue her job, well it paid to have a few back up plans, Arcady and the encryption systems for the ships he worked with, maybe a dabble in shares thanks to knowing who might be going down or up...

Victoria would make it out... Somehow and still afford that dream dark purple Bentley. Distracted she sat back and pulled her slightly flaring out coat closer to keep warm. Despite the smokey smell is was not as bad now the wind changed abit though that also brought the smoke from the higher sky rises and so drifting over much of thr flight paths. Her sister would hate that.

Spotting thr lady who was at the club riding near and stopping to talk to Leo, well least cycling might beat the worst of the traffic out and about thr City and so, the roads where pretty crazy especially near centre point. Gicing her a passing wave, she had talked with her a tiny bit that evening but not much at all,

She seemed to not like Tatu perhaps or was just she never had hered it in Russian, in her humble opinion you should try both. Not that the whole Russian Lesbians and recent news had made that a rather curious contracersys at times. People watching you could learn alot, it seemed to hit her... Harder than it seems quite should have for a passing stranger. "Have a good day, Tatu girl." cheerful letting the Russian bleed in abit, it helped people, it was a handy trick though the press probbly would have fun with Ethans foreign girlfriend and her scandals. Was she even that? What was she and so. What exactly was going to happen? One thing for sure, thr news papers tiny feet where going to create some strange triple citizenship mess, A American with Russian and British parentage!

Putting I'm a ear bud and tuning into a local station, with a few tweaks to the digital radio to her preference of stations. The local radio seemed to be mostly chattering about recent events, music and the odd silly theories to lighten the mood on one station.

Oh, one station definitely stood out as the news she saw conflicted a little with another report, not that one was in error, a active investigation covered up alot of the information and such, or breaking news and information. Without attacking the goverment sites you'd never know, and that was rather a tricky task to do without ending up in jail.

The host sounded pretty hurt by events, recosning it from a usually cheerful show Victoria sometimes watched on her drive to work. Not that with the latest drama she might be out a job...

Marinalia was a alittle bored, it was meant to be her day flying about, even if the people. Could be annoying at times but she loved flying, even more than the problems, paper work and general bullshit that came with the job. Including a manual that was a handy doorstop and about as easy going as a FBI agent and not never offered you coffee or doughnuts.

Sat in her helicopter with legs dangling out the door, leather riding boots shining slightly in the mid winter sunshine and drinking a rather sweet concoction of White Choclate mocha, extra shot, vanilla syrup, cream and mini marshemmlows topped with some Choclate sprinkles and a extra bonus of some silly extra syrup That made it a rather pink, silly, chocolatey creation, with caffine and engery a plenty. Part of her had a flash back to comments about burnt anti freeze around the time of gala, and when drama was surely a aplenty. What other people thought of her taste in coffee, well she really have no care.

Feeling silly she posted a picture, and hoped she would be drinking silly coffee and so, Paiges flight, well that hopefully was quiet... Though from news and rumour it seemed more like they both where some of thr largest trouble Magenets in thr city.

At the mention of hospitals, Capella couldn't help but visibly cringe at the thought of them. He definitely had his fair share of visits to those, and none of them were relatively good. It was just something he had to deal with because of his eyes, but the way this lady talked about them with almost the same mindset as him made him feel a bit bad... was there also something wrong with her she couldn't help? Did it have to do with her balance?
"Oof, tell me about it. I'd take an exam every day for the rest of my life if I never had to see a hospital again. Welp at least they're good for something." Despite his slightly concerned thoughts about said woman, Capella pushed them into the back of his mind. She was nice enough not to mention his problems, he should do the same.

"Ah, so Tatu is or are foreign musicians? They probably make some sick beats and perform pretty well if they came here!" The boy grinned. It was always fun to talk about different kinds of music, even if he didn't know what they sounded like, but unfortunately time was not on his side and he couldn't hold up his side of the conversation any longer. Just as he was making his leave and bidding the woman farewell, Capella was given a name to attach the unique voice to as well as a warning that today might not be one of the brightest to cast over Sol City. Of course, he had the feeling as well, but dwelling on it all day would just make him nervous for his evaluation. All he had to do was get to school and back in one piece and he'd be safe for the rest of the day.

"Of course! I'm Capella and it was nice meeting you! Have a nice day and please be careful around these parts!" He hoped his words would give the same reassurance that her's did, but he didn't stick around long enough to know. And with that, he was off, moving as quickly as he could without running the risk of tripping and falling.

Not Interacting with anyone currently. In his restaurant, prepping for the day.

Ryan pushes the sliding bamboo door to his restaurant to the right, ducking under a nonexistent door curtain and enters his restaurant. A small water fountain made from rough granite bubbled away at the entrance. Giving a small bow, he picked up the bamboo ladle by its long handle, scooped a bit of water and poured it over the top, wetting the stone, giving it a darker hue. Balancing the ladle on top, he took quiet but swift steps towards the depths of his restaurant.

Once in the kitchen, he moved methodically. The fish he had just picked up from the fish market will be delivered within the hour. Therefore, he had an hour to do other things. First things first, he picked up an industrial sized stock pot, filled it about half way with tap water and set it on top of one of the burners. Reaching into the refrigerator, he retrieves a almost laughably small stock pot from it and empties its content into the large pot. Giving a slight nod, he turns the burners on to high. Flames jetted out, caressing the base of the pot like the warmest of embraces. Walking towards a dark corner of the pantry, he picked up a large tub and opened it. In it, several stalks of dried, dark, seaweed stood. Taking out three pieces, he snapped each in half, small flakes of the seaweed and the outer coating of white powder can be seen falling back into the tub. Walking back into the stock pot, he gently deposited the kombu into the stock pot. The liquid, having come to a boil, swallowed up the plant swiftly. Deeming it sufficient, he turned the flames down to no more than a gentle simmer. There, the stock pot will remain, until the night is over. Water will be added as needed of course.

Opening the refrigerator once again, he took mental notes of what was inside and what he needed for tonight's service. "Eggs, salt-cured salmon roe, an serving of fugu milt for that one couple that always gets it... Hmm...Ah. I have to take that out right now actually..." He reached in, grabbing two bottles of liquid, one darker than the other, and set them on the counter. Those two bottles would be crucial later on.

Taking a deep breath and exhaling softly, he walked towards the sink and thoroughly washed his hands, drying them with a paper towel. Reaching above him, he takes down two pieces of well worn whetstone. His breathing is very steady, as it has been this entire time. He turns on the filtered tap from one side of his sink and lets it run while he retrieved a small container. Filling the container up with filtered water, he drops the two whetstone one by one, making sure they don't bang into each other. While the stones are soaking, he goes to the back of the kitchen and retrieves a small suitcase like box. He takes a look at the stones, deeming that they have absorbed the requisite amount of water, he takes them out and places them on a clean cloth towel. The stone with the #1000 grit is on his left hand side, and the stone with the #8000 grit is on his right. Opening the box, he first carefully inspects each of the three knives for any surface imperfections. To him, these represent his livelihood. He treats them with more care than his own hands sometimes. Content with how the knives looked, he started each at the lower grit level, making sure their edges are honed to at least a medium edge. However, medium edges are simply not good enough. He then spends about thirty minutes with each knife, sharpening them to a fine edge with the high grit whetstone. Setting the knives down softly on the cloth, he pours out the small container of water and sets the container aside to be cleaned after. Before cleaning the container, he turns on the filtered tap water and rinsed the knives off, cleaning off the fine metallic particles that may have been left in the sharpening process. Then, one at a time, he took the knives out to the service counter and placed them down, in order of widest to narrowest. They're now ready to be used as they were intended to.

A small buzzing can be heard back in the kitchen.

"Ah. the fish is here..." He walked back into the kitchen to let the delivery staff in. They swiftly unloaded the fishes he had ordered. He does a quick, but thorough, inspection of each item to make sure they were the ones he ordered. After he is done, he offered the delivery personnel a quick bow and bid them a good day.

Now comes the fun part, he thought.

Moving quickly, he shelved the tuna into the refrigerator, to keep its temperature as low as possible before he absolutely needs it. Then, going to work on some of the smaller fish, he descaled them, cut them into the proper fillets, and laid them out on the clean counter before preparing them according to how he wished to serve them for the night. Some are salt cured, some are placed into a slightly acidic vinegar and mirin bath to marinade for the time being. Others were simply cut into appropriate pieces and placed in different refrigerator to age. Now, the tuna. He took out the fish that has already been halved before arriving at his restaurant out. Taking a deep breath, his hands got to work deftly disassembling the large fish. Even though it was halved, it yielded enough content for him to successfully complete his service for the night. Some slices were marinaded in a sweet soy sauce mixture, others are left in a 'loin' form, to be cut when service begins. Others, like the collar of the fish, was simply removed and reserved for the chef and the rest of the team.

A smile remained on his face while he took apart the fish, joyous with the opportunity to work with and serve such exquisite ingredient.

A small noise can be heard. The bamboo door was slid to a side and opened. His staff have began to arrive. He nodded to himself, washing his hands as he walked over to a clean whiteboard. He then started writing down, meticulously, what the menu of the day consisted of. As the kitchen staff arrived, they know to check the board first to get an understanding of what ingredients are in the coolers before they even opened it. They would also know what steps each of them had to take to get the restaurant ready for service. Three staff members walked into the kitchen, uniformly greeted him with a "Good Morning Chef" and he replied in a stern, but very respectful tone "Good Morning. Lets have a good day today!", in Japanese of course.

As he exited the restaurant, leaving the rest of the prep work to his staff, a small ping could be heard. The clock had just struck Six AM.

Victoria Darya Romus "Vika"

Luna sports to Club Eather ruins . Finale day!

Victoria did pick up on the reactions, little in s but definitely there, Hospitals and her had not had a good relationship for 10 years or so, her balence was somewhat shakey, her skin paler though luckily thanks to experimental treatments her hair now raven black dyed, but returning its colour from snow white. Thanks to circumstances she had slipped abit and relied on cane more than before though. Luckily he was kind ernough not to mention her height, very light build or condition. Thanks to a issue with her bodies very cells acting up, all was symptoms of somthing rather more complex she could not be bothered to explain.

He obviously did not know Tatu, they where from the 90's and rather not active currently, though it was good to have a alittle fun. "Russain, 2000's mostly. Might be abit difficult!

YouTube is your friend."
It was nice to talk about somthing diffrent other than her problems, medical or otherwise. Music was a fun topic and gave her somthing least happy thought. Think about. Calls placed earlier at least to try and head off her... Well intresting night. The US was too prudish to even show screen grabs, the Europeans where far less scared of things and that kind of stuff. Urgh. Victoria really was wondering why she did not just run back to the UK or Russia, it was her sister and her medical support needed keeping her in Sol city if she boiled down to the boggest issues.

"Thqnkyou, il try anyway." Trouble was rather magenetic to the sisters... Seriously where they cursed or somthing, did they need a priest, or perhaps a blessing by every known religion to beat it! He did try to reassure her, though it came across a little differently, heading off fairly quickly, well for a cane anyway. She was not that quick though he seemed more to be vision than balence.

Keeping a close grip on her came to help balence whole she sat, at least everyone could not see the snow flake patten blade concealed inside, a handy suprise if she ever needed one anyway. Things where getting a little colder and as she sat thinking. Probbly be a better idea to head over to somewhere else and try to get a little warmer, rubbing her small pale hands together definitely time to find somewhere warmer.

Passing a smaller place, it was still morning so quiet, the petite pale skinned woman with striking raven black hair highlighted with a small area of vibrant purples and blues wandered in and looked round for someone to serve or even know if it was waitor or bar service.

It was later morning by the time she left thr club ruins and found somewhere to warm up. Glancing round as she unbottoed her wool coat slightly, it was warmer in here and she wnated to warm up a little before heading on home? A warm fire, hot Choclate or so sounded alot more welcoming. Tapping on the counter she gave a small smile and glanced round not really bothing to hide her mixture of Russian and English, too tired wirh the crap she had to deal with that morning. "hi, are vou open yet? Zorry, it's pretty cold out vere.

Vould love a varm drink, decaf, and anything you recommend, vooked without Salmon or so? Vegetarian maybe?
"
relaxed, she relised japanese food might not be ideal but first place Victoria had come across.

Thr barstool was a alittle tall for thr 4'9 woman to use easily so leant against the near royal blue walking stick, snow glak guard on top. The artist was plain beuterful, sadly her relationship with its maker had been a alittle more complicated than that.

Looking round to see if any other patrons, she just hoped that they where erving otherwise it might be the city hell traffic home and she really could was not looking forward to the work needed to fix the loophole the hackers had made. The security had locked the houses systems down tight, the secure servers would be still secure. Just the outer circuit as such had been breached. The inner walls and gates remained intact and draw bridges where raised.

@PrinceAlexus Interacting with Vika, who happened to enter a closed restaurant lol~

Ryan was sitting behind the counter, going through the day's menu and its possibilities. "So the milt is for that one couple. I have tuna being marinaded, some last season Kinmedai, Shinko is being soaked in the vinegar, the Aori Ika is kept cold and raw of course.. Hm......" It would seem, during this time of year, the fish offerings are not as bountiful as he would have liked. No matter though, he still intends on serving the ingredients that he has, as well as he could.

Of course, he was lost in his thought. The clocked showed that it was still early morning and the morning prep staff had returned home to prepare for the rest of the day so he was alone in the restaurant. Some music could be heard, playing softly in the background. The restaurant was kept dim, but not dark. There definitely was no other patrons in the space, as the restaurant is by reservation only and only open during dinner service.

When the bamboo door slid opened, he was surprised. He peeked around the doorway and saw a slim girl come through. "I really need to start locking the damn door..." He thought to himself. Taking a small breath and sighing slightly, he stood and straightened himself out before approaching the girl. During his approach, he noticed that the girl was using a finely decorated cane. Not that it mattered at all. He just thought that he might need to make his restaurant more accessible for future possibilities.

"Hello miss. My name is Ryan. Um. Yeah. We're not open currently, but yeah, it is quite chilly out there. I can make you some tea if you would like. And since you mentioned decaf, I'll make you the green tea... Um, in terms of food, we don't have salmon currently," and here, he chuckled slightly "But in terms of vegetables, we have plenty of those. I can fix you something simple if you would give me some time?" He said to her, being as gracious as he could be because he knows no other way of treating a 'customer', though not in a traditional sense.

"Ah, where are my manners, please, have a seat anywhere you'd like." He says that, but the restaurant literally only offers bar seating and she was already leaning against the smallish ten-seat counter. "Um. Tea first. Give me a moment..." He shuffled into the back of the restaurant and swiftly put a kettle of water to boil. Meanwhile, he warmed a towel with hot tap water, making sure it is not scalding hot, and wrung it out so it isn't dripping wet and returned to the bar where the girl was standing. "Hai-Oshibo- Ah. I mean, here you go, a hot towel for your hands." He chuckled a bit more. "Tea is being made right now, as soon as that is done, I'll get started on your food. Is there any particular allergy I should know about?"
