WARCRAFT
War of the Ancients

Prologue

The wrongness of the world struck as soon as your arrived on the shores of Northrend. An ancient power far greater than any mortal knew was at work here. Something greater than the Lich King, greater than the combined might of all the armies gathering in the north! The world felt odd and twisted as one got closer and closer to the anomaly. To those that felt the energies radiating around it, the picture was even more apocalyptic. Time was being unwound around it. Past, present and future all twisted and then tossed around like leaves into a storm. The anomaly was a huge funnel... a vortex that swallowed everything around, even time itself.

Then by the time it was too late to react to it, the realization struck, it was moving. Erratic and with unknown purpose it expanded and contracted, chased after everything living that approached it, tearing nad twisting and erasing them from this very world. It's pull too strong to escape, there was no other choice, but to be consumed. No manner of strength or magic could free you once it had you it's grasp. In a brief moment everything ended. Being swallowed by this monstrous anomaly, this wound in time and space, there was no usually hope for survival, but something happened... Suddenly you were on the other side. A little battered and worse for breath, but alive non the less. There was no trace of the anomaly, just a beautiful night sky, gentle wind and beautiful forests and plains as far as eye could see. You were alive, but... where?

Chapter I: The Well of Eternity

Shaken and battered from the vortex, people have been thrown out at some twisted rhyme and reason and unlikely allies have found themselves. The vortex gathered people and some of them arrived at locations together, others separate, some may arrive later or were forever lost in the anomaly. For now two groups of survivors have appeared. Location: Edge of Grand Plain and Forest(???)

Group one: Heda and Fabios. Thrown out at the edge of a forest, at one side a huge nearly unpassable forest and at the other a grand plain. The moon's light is bright and the surroundings could be seen rather well even without low light vision. The two are in clear view of one another, as if the vortext put them next to one another on purpose. Ancient Forest(???)

Group two: Ivaron and Quiana. The two of you have been thrown with great force in the middle of an ancient dense forest. Trees taller than most you've seen, the forest is dense and light can barely pass through the heavy folliage of the trees. You two are some distance from one another, hidden in darkness, but within hearring range. If one of you calls, the other will hear. Neither of you know the other's there right away though.

(Locations are currently unknown past obvious traits, so don't freak out quite yet. More will be told as you realize it.)

Heda Runeclaw

Location: Ancient Forest(???)

Heda groaned in pain as she slowly came to her senses after the violent impact earlier. When she appeared her... whereever this was, she had appeared in the air like 6 meters up and fell down on her back on the luckily soft soil and grass. Still it didn't mean she was completely out of pain. At first the hit had taken the air out of her lungs, but she slowly calmed down and with heavy breathing scrambled up to a sitting position. Her enchantment was negated so she was in her real size.

Finally getting onto a sitting position she saw an unfamilar scene. It's not that she had seen all nightly forests and plains, but this one was a little bit different despite she herself unable to put her finger onto why that was. For one she didn't recognize the general location, but with it being night, she couldn't also navigate from the mountains in the distance. She had a knack for remembering locations via points of interest and mountains were such points." Ughh..." She mumbled as she moved her shoulder and rubbed it a little, because it hurt. It was then that she had also noticed that there was someone else with her nearby. It was a human, by the looks of it. Her kind generally didn't get too well along with humans because of their shared history, but humans seemed to have forgotten it and she wasn't planning to mention it really.

"Hey, you alright, human?" She called out to him as he was regaining his own consciousness too. She then slowly stood up, towering over him. She was an impressive creature at her regular size just as all Vrykul." Did you get swallowed by that vortex too?" She asked and focused on her tattooed right side of the body where a runic tattoo suddenly started glowing in blue light and all the scratches and injuries from her body vanished." You need healing?" She asked, looking at the man, before returning her attention to the surroundings. An unknown land with unknown foes lurking about. One thing was sure though, that vortex wasn't caused by the Old Gods after all despite it's wrongness. It had felt almost familiar in some manner, but she didn't know why.. yet.

Fabios Odyssean

Location: Ancient Forest(???)

As the vortex took the Paladin he fought. He fought hard with all the strength invested into him by the gift of birth and by the gifts of the Light. Muscles tensed with effort and sweat rolled down his brow despite the cold, yet it was for naught. Coming to terms with the futility of his struggle he relaxed, closed his eyes and smiled. "I'm coming."

But he didn't.

It wasn't a particularly painful thud as he hit the ground for all his layers of armour, but it was quite and annoying one. He had accepted his death and awaited reunion with those he held so dear yet here he was in some starry landscape. It was quite beautiful, that is until he got better acquainted with it. The tall trees, the starry sky, the memories of Duke Lionheart, the forest women with their bows.... The Knight sprang upright one hand pulling forth a pistol whilst the other a falchion, an anxious and habitual reaction from his first bloody encounters with Kalimdor's residents.

However it wasn't the past anymore, in theory old wrongs were to be forgotten and at last noticing his Vrykul counterpart his shoulders sagged. Putting the weapons away and rubbing his temple wearily he examined Heda, sifting his memory for who could possibly be before him. She looked human enough but was bigger than even he, and the possibility of her being from Stormgarde or one of the other less civilized Kingdoms of man was eliminated when she referred to him as "human". He thought of the lessons he learned about Kul'Tiran history and remembered the Drust. Though they were wiped out, it lead to a train of thought ending in the conclusions she was most likely one of the Vrykul he had heard about. Well, the stories certainly didn't disappoint....

"No, I am fine; yes, I was taken by something of that sort." He stated. "Tell me, do you know where we are?" It was a short reply and a quick demand, but it was a necessity for the moment.

Ivaron Andesil

Location:Ancient Forest (???)

Ivaron let out a sharp gasp as the entirety of the world began to twist and warp around him. Trees lost shape while beasts began to meld together and form horrible amalgamations as his vision blurred. A great pressure surrounded him and threatened to crush his skull it seemed as everything disappeared and the world exploded with with violent sounds. Had it gone on for days, months, years? Or only a moment? Ivaron felt and saw nothing, but at the same time he saw everything. His brothers stood in front of him, his parents. Merideth. Mother. All of them were about him smiling, and then they weren't. Then he saw a dead, dying landscape of cracked red earth. Was this Durotar? Or perhaps the barren Salt Flats? It had come and gone as quickly as his loved ones. Then he was among a group of thundering kodos on great grass plains with nothing else in sight. With the great pounding of the beasts, it was all gone again.

However good his reflexes may have been once, they were far from that now. Perhaps it was his nearly crippled leg, perhaps it was just the wear of a life hard spent. He opened his eyes and seemed to be conscience on the ground before he had realized he had fallen and hit several tree branches on the way down. A faint voice reverberated in his ears as his head pounded and his leg burned with near agony. Looking down at himself, he had at least not broken any bones. He would manage as he always had at least. Then the pain truly came to his head as he lifted it from the ground where he had fallen directly onto a rock. With great difficulty Ivaron pushed himself into a slumped position against the nearest tree. A tree that was larger around than any he could recall seeing in recent years. The elves had some like this he had thought, yet he hadn't spent very much time among them as he disliked the general haughtiness of their women. That's what happens when they are more warrior than their men, he had decided. As the daze begun to ware off he would take more note of the area he had ended up in. It was evening or near enough as mattered. The branches overhead wove into a thick canopy of shade that left the area cool, if not a bit humid.

A voice sounded through the woods again. Faint, yet present. Unless that was still the echoing of his own head. Ivaron gave his jaw and temples a decent rub for a moment. After the silence came again and the thrum in his ears had faded, the voice called again, louder this time. Perhaps it wasn't an illusion after all. As he brought his hands to his mouth to call out an answer, he paused. The voice called a final time, still faint, yet loud enough that he realized he had not recognized the tongue of the speaker the first few times, yet now it was in plain Common. That was curious to him yet any inhibition was to be saved for later as he had few options at the moment. If any captors were to come and strike him down, it couldn't be any worse than being left to the creatures that prowled these woods surely

"I hear you! Follow my voice. I am sat against a tree possibly in front of you!" Ivaron called, his words seemingly muffled through the thick foliage. The ordeal seemed to have left his throat parched and him feeling weakened. That could be sorted out once he knew if this was friend or foe. Until then, he pulled the necklace that hung about his neck over his head and looked at the apparent charm in his palm. With a few soft words and gentle touch, the blue-purple metal began to warm and flicker before slowing growing in length and girth, until it sat in his two outstretched hands across his lap. The poleaxe gleamed faintly in what little light there was. Re-positioning himself against the tree, Ivaron got a firm enough grasp on the weapon and placed the butt into the soft earth, using it to haul himself to a standing position. For the time he would rest his weight on it and the tree at his back until the situation called for action. None of this made any sense to him, but there was little he could do but await the owner of ther voice.

Gronar

Location: Ancient Forest?

The orc warrior was not the most graceful warrior on a battlefield. As proven when Gronar landed on his face after being spat out by the portal on to the forest floor. But what he lacks in grace was made up in durability. The orc quickly shot back up greatsword drawn branches stuck on his armor. He was ready to face a horde of undead or even the Litch king himself. But instead of finding glorious battle against the scourge he was faced with a forest. "By the elements were am I?" he mutter to himself relaxing his stance realization of his current location .

The orc closely examining the forest around him. "Did I end up in Ashvale?" Gronar asked himself as he inspected one of the trees. "It would make sense massive trees and it is much warmer that Northren," as Gronar continued his train of thought. He sheathed the show as he began to random direction to travel. "No. If I was in Ashvale I'll be up to ears with night elves. So were am I?" That is when he heard two voices one after another echoed through the forest. Considering that he with nothing else to work with the orc headed towards the voices.

World Narrative

Clarification before I continue, the forests that the two groups have found themselves are completely different ones.

Group one: Heda and Fabios. Location:Edge of Grand Plain and Forest(???) The surroundings around the pair are still very calm and quiet. There's the occasional nocturnal animal making sounds here and there, the song of the trees swaying on the light wind, but that aside no trace of people aside the two of them quite yet.

Group two: Ivaron, Quiana and Gronar. Location: Ancient Forest(???) Situation at the trio, remails mostly similar to group one. There's no traces of people around them or any danger really. The 3 of them would rather quickly find themselves gathered up if they deciede to follow up on the voice directions. Ivaron and Quiana would feel that something's weird though. He will feel that there's a lot more mana in the surroundings that anywhere he's been in the past and she will feel that these forests feel incredibly ancient and powerful, also unfamilar to her.

Heda Runeclaw

Location: Edge of Ancient Forest(???)

Heda observed what appeared to be a human warrior. She had seen many in her travels. She was about twice as tall as him as a Vrykul, so she couldn't help but look down on him as she stood up in all her glory. She then nodded and him and surveyed the surroundings, she couldn't spot anything unusual because she didn't really have a low light vision. That said on the clear sky and the bright light of the moon, she could very well recognize the edge of the forest they were by and the great plains, she just couldn't make out the details on the distance.

"South..." She replied to Fabios." Way south... I'd guess about the equator if I'm to guess from the moon's position." She replied and narrowed her eyes at the moon." Can't say if we are on Kalimdor or the Easter Kingdoms until the dawn comes though. I'm not trained to read the stars and I cannot see the surroundings terrain good enough to make conlcusions on that." Heda replied to the paladin and looked at her body where her runic tattoos were basically burning up." There's old magic in the air... Old and powerful. Way too powerful." She commented, by the way how her magic tattoos were acting up. The mana in the air was probably incredibly dense.

"I think that we should start moving though. Our arrival was bound to attract eyes of the locals one way or another. Not sure we wish to be found here if they are hostile, no?" Hada asked with a smile. She was well used to traveling hostile lands since very few races tended to be open to allowing Vrykul in their lands. Thus she traveled disguised as a human. On that note, she focused and activated her runes that she used to shrink herself to the about human size which in truth was about to 6.5 ft which still made her taller than most humans, but still passable as one since rare individuals were born a somewhat taller than that. The tattoos on her torso started glowing as her body rapidly started shrinking until she was just a little taller than Fabios.

Fabios Odyssean

Location: Edge of Ancient Forest(???)

"Mmmmm." Came the contemplative reply as Heda gave her guess. He rotated this way and that a few times to examine his surroundings with a squint before shrugging. He wondered if it best he change at least so he could see properly but decided against it for now. "Would make sense, I suppose." Fabios said before turning back to the Vrykul. "If these are the Eastern Kingdoms all should be well, spent most of my life in the lands and it won't be long until I see something familiar."

As the woman said they should move on and the implication they might be in danger he shrugged drawing his long blade. Examining its glint in the moonlight for a moment he raised it high in a thrust to the skies before pressing it to his temple and at last lowering it. "Perhaps. Perhaps not. The Light will guide me, I have faith. Forest trolls or owlbears I fear none." The Paladin shouldered the blade with arms stretched wide to hold it as though he were crucified while he watched his counterpart. A reddish eyebrow rose as the woman shrunk, prompting the man to walk over to her. Flipping the sword over and holding it by the blade he use the hilt to prod just above the hair of Heda for curiosity if it would impact on flesh; he was wondering if it was just an illusion or a proper change of size. Regardless of the result he returned the weapon to a resting position on his right shoulder whilst his left hand ran through the man's long hair. He cursed quietly as his action produced a white one that fell out, but then Fabios returned to the matter at hand. "Very well, let us get going. My name is Fabios Odyssean, Knight of the Silver Hand. I do not need to know your's but it would be damned discourteous to not return the favour. Anyway, what was that business with the... you know." He asked, waving a finger up and down to demonstrate the shrinking. Not waiting for an answer he set off across the clearing where ambush was harder to find, while conversely settlements would be more common.

Ivaron Andesil

Location:Ancient Forest (???)

Ivaron's breath had still come out in trembling bursts as he had settled against the trunk of the massive wooden column. After a few moments he had gained some composure and felt a headache come on. Reaching around his waist for his belt, fear gripped his chest as he couldn't locate the collection of glass that usually adorned him. Finally, he had found them on his lower back, his belt having been twisted around during the commotion. Thankfully he had landed on his face and not broken them, he had no idea where the nearest source of water might be and if it was safe enough to make more even if he had. Flexing his still sore fingers, one hand uncoiled from the haft of the weapon in his lap and righted belt, sliding a phial out from its holster at the same time. With one hand he held it securely, using his thumb and forefinger to pull the small, misshapen stopper that corked it. It only took a moment to tip his head back and down the content of the small glass. Ivaron shivered. It gave him the shakes sometimes. Like medicine, or a narcotic. It hadn't occurred to him which it was for him. It made no matter however, it was doing its job and the weathered man felt what strength was usually left to him swelling and returning. He swore his blood tingled just as his skin and eyes did. This was probably his imagination however. It was no different than a physical crutch he had used when his leg had been shattered. Extending his left leg slowly, he sighed at it stopping before fully stretched, having reached its full range of motion. The pain was gone but the sight of his now stunted limp never would. On good days he could use Jade to aid his left side and walk as tall as any other. The bad days, on the other hand, left his sagged to the left as his leg looked nearly stunted.

Amidst his thoughts he had retrieved a small stone from the ground with his free hand and turned it over and over. Only then did he feel odd. It felt as if he were holding his weapon, yet he saw the stone in his hand. It would've had to mean there was energy within it. Yet that made no sense. A quick sweep of other things on the forest floor, among the floor itself, supported this same feeling. It was as if Arcane energy and Mana permeated everything around him, living or otherwise. It made him anxious. He could feel as if the air was thick with a viscous, invisible substance. Ivaron knew of nothing that could have such an effect on the world. Pocketing the rock in his money pouch, he then heard the forest moving far off, along with a voice that may have been the same he had heard earlier. As it grew in volume he grabbed the weapon with both hands and stood himself up, backed against the thick trunk, and readied his nerves. His hands tightened and his muscled tensed as...an elf bounded around the trees and came upon him. That made sense then. He must've been in the border between The Barrens and Ashenvale. It was not where he would have preferred, but he supposed an orc could've come upon him instead, so he was thankful.

"Purple. Don't they come in blue and green too?" Ivaron thought to himself, as he spoke it without realizing his mouth was moving.

"I'm...sorry. That was not intended to come out that way. I would assume you were the one calling? I couldn't imagine many others about this locale." Ivaron would continue with a ton that was not unkind. He had little reason to trust this stranger, yet had no reason to distrust her. Elves were not necessarily an enemy of his, but he had never liked the haughty attitude the old race commonly held. Perhaps if he had lived a thousand years he might looked down upon those who lives were but a blink in his. Then it dawned on him that she had actually spoken to him while he had been sizing her up. Even though he had directly asked her a question, he continued to speak before she could answer, with another.

"I know nothing of any portal having brought anyone anywhere. Although i would guess Ashenvale isn't too far off from my destination to assume I was forcibly brought here after my odd blackout and hallucinations."

Gronar

Location: Ancient Forest?

With the subtlety of a raging dragon Gronar traverse the forest. Using his strength and bulk to power through the underbrush. The orc snapped the branches of the younger trees. With his plate armored form crushing bushes and shrubs as he marched towards the voices. Said voices were getting closer due to them getting much clearer to Gronar. To him it sounded like none of the other races he normally dealt with. Who ever they are must of heard by now to the clanking of the armor he wearing. Drawing the sword on his back as he stepped into the clearing with the voices.

What was standing before Gronar in the clearing was a human with a halberd and a night elf. "Alliance." He growled as he stepped forward. It made sense now the portal must be an Alliance ploy of some kind. He will figure that part out later but for now he has to deal with the human and elf first. Then get back to the rest of the Warsong. "Were did you bring me be Alliance scum?" He growled at both the human and night elf. "After you tell me you are gonna send be back to Northrend. So I can fight among my clan." He took another step towards the pair sword raise an in a hostile stance slowly advancing upon them.

Clarification before I continue, the forests that the two groups have found themselves are completely different ones.

Group one: Heda and Fabios. Location:Edge of Grand Plain and Forest(???) The surroundings around the pair are still very calm and quiet. There's the occasional nocturnal animal making sounds here and there. The plain appears barren of sentient life so far. There's but the occasional nocturnal bird in the air and a small predator hiding hte the tall grasses and bushes.

Group two: Ivaron, Quiana and Gronar. Location: Ancient Forest(???) There we go the merry fellow group of unlikely allies are all at the same place! At first you 3 will be alone, but then there will be movement within the surrounding forest. Quiana would be the first one to sense someone approach, warned by the surrounding trees. With horns sounding as massive feline beasts pouched from around the trees in the near distance, having stalked until now. They have riders, in the weak light at the forests at night, except the druid, the other 2 cannot be sure who's attacking, but you could see the outlines of giant panthers. So it's a single leap away to conclude night elves. Orders are being shouted as the newly arrived are forming a circle around you three. If you attempt it now, it might be possible to break through the encirclement before it's completely closed off. Ivaron could also feel powerful magical energies radiating from one of the riders.

Heda Runeclaw

Location: Edge of Ancient Forest and Plain(???)

Heda was a little surprised when the man started poking with the hilt of his sword above her head where normally he would be poking at her lower torso. She looked at him with questioning expression and sighed." I'm shrunk, it's not an illusion." She explained and pointed out the a set of runes on her body." These are runes of shrinking. Once activated they shrink the subject to half it's usual size. It's a type of ancient magic my people practice since the dawn of the world." Hade gave even some more detailed explanation with a smile. The world seemed so much better when she was in this form. Still having traveled a lot in this size, she was a lot more used to it than most of her kind. Hell most Vrykul wouldn't shrink themselve even if they could. Bad influences within the race in the North were still present. Still the good thing was that at least some had returned to the old ways and given up on prejudice like that. Especially since humans were technically Vrykul kin." I hear that some of the Tauren and dwarves are rediscovering Runic magic in the last few years also. So in a couple of years it probably will be a lot more avaible."

"Well... Name's Heda Runeclaw, a Runemaster in service of the Keepers." She inroduced herself with a slight nod of her head. As a Vrykul she wasn't really into what many of the other races especially alliance considered etiquette, but introduction of herself was something she had gotten used to by now. She then hurried to follow in walking with the man. It's been frankly years since she had actually met a member of the Silver Hand. Mostly because she's been traveling less in Alliance lands as of the last years. There was much to be done in the service of the Keepers and lots of enemies to fight that Alliance and Horde had yet to find out.

"Wait..." She suddenly heard something with her acute hearing boosted by the magical earring." Someone's coming towards us... DIRECTLY at us." Heda stated and readied her axe. She had picked them from distance by hearing, but once soon enough they were within sight in the strong moonlight. Giant cats and long eared warriors on top of them." Night elves... Guess we are on Kalimdor." Heda stated, but as she narrowed her eyes, she could see armors that were shiny in the night's light and certainly for hell wasn't in line with what Sentinels usually wore. Her ears twitched when she heard something." DEFEND YOURSELF, HUMAN! THESE ARE NOT ALLIES!" She shouted as she pulled her axe. Keepers, there seemed to be at least 20 people riding giant cats barreling down on them!

Fabios Odyssean

Location: Ancient Forest???

“I thought as much.” The Paladin stated, giving a cursory glance at the woman's tattoos. They were interesting, but not his sort of thing. “Back home I never seen our Dwarves with them, although they're now culturally very Kul’Tiran. As for the Tauren… well I don't have time to pay attention when cutting the vile things in two. Regardless, good to know. I have a feeling we're going to be travelling together for quite some time.” It was a grim foreshadowing but something in his gut told him it was the case.

As Heda named herself Fabios gave the Vrykul another glance with an up raised eyebrow.
“Keepers… Which ones?” in truth he was not particularly interested in that, but it was a polite interest that again could be useful depending on how things went for the Knight.

However an answer was not forthcoming for apparently something was the matter. Fabios cursed himself for letting his guard down, muttering expletives about his age. Elves were coming, Night Elves who were supposed to be now on his side, right? From how they were riding at speed it seemed he was wrong. Round two you knife earred bastards. No, as much as they had gotten away with vile things blind violence and vengeance meant he would end up as a more pathetic variant of Prince Menethil. The man rifled through his memory for Darnassian syntax and vocabulary knowing he would never really get the accents right and ignoring that. “Ishnu dal dieb.” he shouted to the riders. Yet though peace was well and good it didn't always succeed, so as an insurance policy he unclipped his holsters to draw a pistol from. Nice things they were made long ago by some Dwarven immigrants in old Theramore. Like the usual work of the bearded folk they were reliable, accurate, (comparatively) light and would take down a rhino. But he had only two. He looked over to Heda and waved a few circles with the firearm in his right hand. “You might want to err… unshrink if this doesn't work. Them panthers are quick but they have a surprising heft to them that will probably get you torn up quick if you stay like that.”

Turning back the elven riders he closed his eyes to out, in, and out again hoping that his tongue wouldn't fail him again. Perhaps to even his odds regardless if speaking or fighting he called upon the Light for Inner Fire upon himself and Heda hoping that it would not fail him. “I am glad we have stumbled into you, graceful warriors! Me and my travelling friend are lost, I would be most honoured if you could guide us to the nearest settlement for I think we have been on plains quite some time and you are the first people we have seen.” with that said, the next moment would be crucial in deciding if he would have to kill these elves or not.

Avol Goldtooth

Location: Ancient Forrest

The roaring of the vortex battered and beat Avol within an inch of his life as he and Bo-Bo clashed against each other. For the first time in his life Avol feared something more than the loss of his money. As he twisted and contorted within the maelstrom believing that these were his last moments the sudden meeting of cool grass of a forest floor brought him back to reality. As he slowly gathered himself back to some sort of normalcy Avol patted himself down to make sure that everything that he kept on him was there.

Boomstick, Flamespitter, whistle, last and most important...his money pouch. With everything in order he slowly gathered himself together and tried to get a sense of where he was.

'Well one thing's fa sure...I ain't in Northrend no mo’ ma. Guess I'd betta checkn see if tha idiot made it, make sure all my stuff made it with me.’

Grabbing the special made whistle from his front pocket he pressed the oddly shaped wooden whistle to his lips and blew. The sound that followed was like the combination of a shrill tin whistle and a flatulent rusted horn being blown. Shortly after the sounds of heavy feet thundered towards Avol at speeds that should have bothered him for someone his size but busting through the tree line was the eight foot mook that he had come to depend on.

”You called Boss?”

”Yeh, an ya took ya sweet time gettin here too! Do ya still have all tha stuff wit ya?”

”Uh..yeh Boss I got everything right here!”

The awkward shifting of supplies wrapped in what appeared to be a sailcloth and tied with rigging told Avol that wherever Bo-Bo landed must of had pieces of the ship that brought them to Northrend which means that there could be more supplies to add to his wares. Wherever they ended up he was going to make some sort of moola and send back to his “legitimate” banks in Bilgewater. Taking a moment and fingering a coin from his coin purse and taking a large bite down into the solid metal disc Avol carefully calculated their next move.

”Alright here's what were what were gonna do. Take me back to where you came out of an let's get more stuff. The more stuff the more money we make.”

”You got it Boss!”

Ivaron Andesil

Location:Ancient Forest (???)

Ivaron began to speak yet was cut off as the Orc burst through the growth. For a moment he began to enter a defensive stance before realizing that answer hostility with hostility might not be a wise move. He simply gripped his weapon tighter, yet remained in his overall relaxed stance against the tree. As he was about to try and calm the Orc down, the elf moved between them and spoke first. It seemed he wasn't going to be getting a word in edgewise. It made little difference to him as long as their new companion was not tearing his throat out. It gave him some comfort that likely he was near Ashenvale, as their was the ever eternal struggle of the elves and orcs about the resource rich land, and a envoy from the Cenarion Circle would not be too far off. The woods began to throb around him however. Or was that it his head? It definitely was his head, and then his chest. His whole body began to pulse and radiant with a force he couldn't identify. It felt similar to the strange aura of magic within the forest surrounding him. Fear began to well in his heart as the area around the group became alive with the heavy strides of something, until riders appeared about them on what might have been lions.

The riders formed up about them, readying themselves. Just as Ivaron was setting his stance to bolt towards the gap between riders and cleave the legs of their mounts on his way through, he pinpointed the location of the energy. It was a person. Any strength or will left him then. Surely he could not afford to attempt escape if his hunch was correct about what that person was. It would be child's play for him to be taken, and then as a hostile captive as opposed to a common trespasser. Many thoughts went through his head in that instant before he finally had no choice but to settle upon remaining against the tree with Jade, hoping he was not taken to be showing outward aggression to what he assumed would be his captors. He sighed, it was going to be a long day...or evening, he had absolutely no clue what time it was.

Gronar

Location: Ancient Forest?

As the elf stepped forward Gornar prepare himself for what ever the elf. He prepared for the the torrents of arcane bolts or the power of the light to blast him. Or as some of the older warsong warrior spoke that some of the night-elves are druids. The young Warsong warrior hoped for the latter he always wanted to fight a druid. But the human with the elf made no effort to move against him. But instead of engaging him the elf began to talk. She explain that she was a member of the Cenarion Circle and had not part in the conflict between Alliance and Hoard. He was going to tell her to get out of his way then. That is when the riders arrived.

Gronar turn to face the new arrive as they burst into the clearing. He glared at a the new arrivals but could only make out the giant panthers. He watched as they began to surround the group. He took another glance at the other two in the clearing and made his decision. He charge the rapidly closing gap bellowing "Lok'tar Ogar!" Aim to escape the encirclement to fight the panthers on one side. He was prepare to fight his way out if necessary. The other two can stay trapped by the panthers for all he cares the orc thought to himself as he rushed the gap.

World Narrative

Group One: Heda and Fabios. Location:Edge of Grand Plain and Forest(???) The riders didn't even slow down at Fabios's words. They increased their speed instead, the leading one barking orders as nets were thrown in their direction once the night elves were close enough. Weapons were also readied, it was clear they weren't here in peaceful intentions.
Avol. Location:Edge of Forest(???) For Avol all is mostly quiet right now. There's some typical forest noises and the lije, but nothing's hitting him as quite dangerous or unusual.

Group Two: Ivaron, Quiana and Gronar. Location: Ancient Forest(???) The nightsabers were rapidly closing off the encirclement when Gronar charged the gap. There was a roar of giant felines and orders being shouted. Within moment one of the riders who was wearing a fancy robe with a hood raised his hands and a powerful surge of magic could be felt. As if a cloth made of moonlight descended from the skies and fell onto Gronar. He could feel hid body growing heavier and weakening, but he could still move due his sheer orcish willpower and raw strength.
The soldier in charge who appeared to be a good looking male night elf with strong looking eyes shouted.” Do not move! You are being taken prisoners of the Suramar Guard! Your Arrival is clouded in mystery and two of you are of unknown origin! You are trespassers in the Kaldorei Empire, surrender peacefully and we can promise you decent treatment!”

Heda Runeclaw

Location: Edge of Ancient Forest and Plain(???)

Heda returned to her proper size within moments as she reached out and grabbed a net from the air, pulling a rider off his cat as she did so. She then kicked the surprised cat right in the neck.” Human, those are Enemies!” She roared as she picked her axe. These night elves all had ugly expressions on their faces as the saw the guy she pulled off the saber start to stand up again.

“TAKE THEM ALIVE FOR THE QUEEN! FOR AZSHARA!” The elves roared as they threw themselves at Heda and Fabios as madmen. The warriors split up with the bigger half charging Heda while the other the paladin with the obvious intention to separate the two. A saber pounced at her with it's maw wide open as she returned with a mighty swing of her axe right to it's head, caving it in and sending a wide blood spatter to everything around. The rider roared in rage as his companion died.

“For Odyn! For the Keepers!” Heda roared and raised her mighty axe again as sparks of lightning covered the weapon. This was bad, there were just too many of them! It seems they needed them alive for now, but why? Also why was the name they shouted so familiar? She couldn't quite recall right now in the middle of the battle.

The ones charging Fabios first threw the nets wide and fast at him. He would be well able to dodge the net, but one of the riders would be at striking range of him at the end with readied weapon.

Fabios Odyssean

Location: Ancient Forest???

Well. That didn't work. Round two it was then!“Yeah yeah, don't nag me woman just because you're bigger doesn't mean I've got smaller brains!” He shouted in jest, firing both of his pistols at the oncoming riders. The Paladin cursed as they didn't seem too effective and made a mental note to properly charge and maintain the things. Lunging under Fabios drew his two handed blade but quickly flipped it over and took it in a mordhau grip with both hands holding the blade.

The Knight quickly looked around at his surroundings noting grounded elves, before smiling with glee. However he also noted the fact they were trying to isolate him and Heda which was not something he would let so easily happen. “Speaking of brains....” He said, running towards the first elf on the ground and bringing down the end of his sword onto the knife-ears head. Satisfied with the squelch noise and the resulting red mess he looked towards the next dismounted bastard.

So, he had to get to Heda for good old fashioned strength in numbers, but there was also this git to deal with. Speed was of the essence he supposed, thus he ran at the next one with an overhead-diagonal swing from right shoulder to left leg, and prepared to slam the elf with his shoulder should the foe evade his swing going to the side.

Avol Goldtooth

Location: Ancient Forest

As the pair made their way back to where Bo-Bo said he came from Avol tried to gain a sense of where they ended up. Northrend, last he heard, was cold as a snobolds nether regions, but somehow he was in a lush forest. And why did the whole ship and only two passengers get pulled here? Where was the rest of the people? Too many questions to figure out.

As they reached the clearing Bo-Bo's sudden stop almost made Avol tumble forward off his makeshift mount.

”Here we are Boss, dis is where I woke up at…”

Sure enough the remains of a goblin airship lay scattered across the clearing with neither hide nor hair of another goblin in sight. Hoping down from his perch Avol searched through the wreckage of the ship to see what he might be able to scavenge. As Bo-Bo set up a makeshift camp, which took much longer than he would have liked, Avol's eyes grew wide with delight,

”Oh baby we hit tha’ mothaload!!”

Amongst the wreckage he managed to pull out some more provisions of food, some more bullet making materials, more Dragon Spit for his Flamespitter. A good haul for him but a loss for those other schmucks, may they rest in peace. Quickly stashing what he could in their appropriate stash, Avol staggered his way back over to his faithful steed/hired muscle,

”Well my oversized pack mule looks like I got some things to add to your load!”

As he added his loot to his current stash the uneasy feeling of something not being right. Leaving Bo-Bo to tend to their makeshift camp Avol wandered out in a random direction from the camp. This didn't look like anywhere he had been before but stories about the tree-hugging elves of the Alliance sounded a lot like this. The sudden but faint appearance of combat sounds perked his ears as Avol quietly crept in there direction.

Ivaron Andesil

Location:Ancient Forest (???)

[center]

Ivaron would sigh slightly, watching the Orc's valiant attempt at resistance. Grabbing the leather strap fixed towards the head of his poleaxe, he would bring it closer and slip it around his neck, while moving his hands to each end of the metal shaft. As he spoke a few words the purple-blue shimmered with silver as it distorted in the faint darkness. In just a moment it had become a small medallion hanging from the strap about Ivaron's neck to rest against the hollow of his throat. The man would hold his hands up in a gesture of surrender while waiting for further direction.

"I am not quite familiar with your language, yet your tone implies some urgence and a lack of nonsense. I take it you're not too pleased with my trespassing in this sacred part of the forests, and I'll gladly take myself back to where i came. It was a bit of a problem that led me here anyhow."

Ivaron hoped that that would have been enough to earn him an escort to the nearest hippogryph which would return him to anywhere else. The forest held a weight to it that seemed to bear down on his shoulders and his psyche. He could not think where he could've been in Ashenvale that would've brought their wroth onto him. In any case he couldn't exactly fight his way out or outrun so many Sabers.
