Anyway, my new year was pretty good. Nothing too crazy. My resolution was actually to try and keep up with all the rps I'm in a bit better, which was probably dumb considering all the useful resolutions I should've gone for...

I have redone the map of the Obivec Isles. I'll be putting up the new one on the front page after I post this, so I put the old map here for comparison and to say goodbye :P. I was attempting to fix a few of the issues the old map had, such as being cut off at the top, having rivers that lead to nowhere, poorly defined forest borders, etc.

Heya guys, just wanted to touch base on things. I've said before that I would have started work on a post way earlier, but I've tried and I've found that I don't really find much joy in writing for this anymore. So rather than keep forcing myself, I'm handing my share of the reins off to Bobert for the foreseeable future. I'd say goodbye, but I'll still be keeping an eye on things.

I am pretty bad at checking discord. I'm stubborn and haven't downloaded the app or anything, so to see notifications I need to remember to open the tab on my computer.

But anyways, this will be the case. I'll be solo GMing for the time being, and will probably try to write an IC post tomorrow if I have time. I'll be properly overtaking Serena to continue driving the plot, but Veronica and Rebecca may need to be shelved so that I don't have too much on my plate, I'm still thinking on that. Otherwise though this hopefully means we can bring the pace up a little, so yeah. Cool :)

So I went and did some traveling, that's why I haven't been at all active. Just gotta ask if anyone is still interested in this? Because it's been kinda quiet around here and I'm starting to lose my enthusiasm for this as a forum roleplay.

A while ago I started getting into D&D after having forum roleplayed for years. I was inspired to re-write and adapt this campaign as a 5e campaign, and if I'm being honest I'm more excited about playing out the story on tabletop. So the story won't go untold, which is what I promised myself, but maybe it won't be told in this way, on this website. That is unless there's still a desire to continue?

Otherwise it may be time to let things here rest. We hardly got our teeth into the story, and there were so many ways I wanted to surprise people, but again this is part of why I'm eager to see how this story plays on the tabletop. Things there flow quicker, and reactions are more volatile with dice. It's been a nice two years, and I want to thank everyone for their interest, but this might be where we stop it.

I'll still hang around in case anyone feels differently, and would still be willing to continue, but assuming that may not be the case, I'm prepared to say farewell.

My thoughts exactly. We've gotten to the point where we've lost most of our momentum, and it would feel dragging to continue it as we are. It's unfortunate but seems to be the state of things. Before I was stubborn because I was very adamant about telling the story I intended to tell, and this was my only outlet. That's changed though, and I feel like tabletop will be a better format for some of the ideas I have.

I also cannot say I'm particularly surprised that this is coming to a close. I would've been willing to continue if that's what people wanted, but after this much time has passed I feel like only two or three of us at the most would even still be active.
