@Norschtalen Kyra finds a bunch of Kobold tracks going back and forth from the stairway to the right, most approaching by the edge of the cliff and passing the spear, but heading back in a more centre aligned path. The other direction is more densely populated in steps, and sports both small and large reptilian tracks, as well as boot marks of humanoids. Clearly the way the cavern naturally curves to is more travelled.

Honestly all I was going to do was a perception check, but I think Kyra’s roll would’ve found anything Orchid could have if not better. I’m willing to just move onwards. I say we go left.

I'm a life cleric, though I have a level in ranger right now since she's always trained with her father for hunting. She's just learned enough to really qualify after the attack on Greenest.

@Hekazu

I'll have Kyra tell everyone what she learns then. She'd suggest heading left; the right path probably just leads to the kobold rooms or something since she doesn't notice any human footprints, but the path with more tracks likely leads towards somewhere important.

I would prefer this to not take another two weeks to progress, so I'm going to poke the people we are still waiting for if you will excuse me…

@Norschtalen Kindly provide a CON save. We can talk more about the effects of the poison after that.

@Lucius Cypher and @Ryonara, of you I will need to know whether you will abandon stealth by jumping the gap or risking triggering the trap for your own. A post is not necessarily required for this decision, but I will need it to lead things onward.

Orchid will break stealth to avoid the trap, and likely have his sword and shield out at the ready prior to doing so as well. Battle is inevitable so he may as well get ready for it. if possible, I'd like it if he could activate his rage while doing so so he could have it ready before the battle begins.

You succeed on your save, @Norschtalen. You are affected by the poison for the first round of the upcoming combat only. What the poison does is make you act as if you were under the Confusion spell. The roll for the effect came up as 8, which means you will be spending that turn making a random melee attack at a nearby target. I shall determine the target of this at the appropriate time, but it seems likely you will be striking an ally. Other than that, you are free to move after the attack.

A similar effect has befallen Torus (@Zverda), who despite the risks elected to try and sneak over the trap. With three damage to their name and another for the effect after a successful save as well, they will be taking no action or movement on said turn.

It says randomly @Lucius Cypher, so it'll be up to the dice once I get the battlemap going. It's likely to be aimed at a frontliner though, be it him or Brannor who would have been close.

Were I playing a rogue, these Confusion inflicting spikes sound like a wonderful plaything to go about jabbing enemies with. Perhaps not so effective but at least a chance to disorient and confuse or injure foes, at least more so than allies.
