The boy she had walked into was speaking to himself. He was complaining on how the rest of the students were too hyper and on each others lips. Eli was on of them people, seeing as how she spoke to Hiroki just now. Before she had time to think about it she was already burning away at his jacket. Joltingly she pulled her head back while aplogising. In the past she had burned many objects and humans by accident, it was no new feeling for her, feeling terrible every time her power would destroy something. That is why she was here now though, to make her quirk into something beautiful.

Torch rose her head back up to face Seijin hearing how valuable this jacket was to him. Regretfully she watched him as he just casually brushed the whole situation off like she had done nothing wrong. Still feeling as if she had killed something Elina softly nodded.

"I'll pay you back somehow. I can't stop feeling bad about this otherwise. It definitly is a promise if you are willing to or not."

Elina softly blushed as she made a small pout. Why was she even getting mad at him in the first place, burning his jacket would make her the culprit not the victim. The blonde boy tried patting her on the head but was quickly warned that her hair was literally on fire. Instinctively Elina softened the burning of her hair making the temprature lower as he touched it making the burns not as grande as they were gonna be.

Worryingly she watched Seijin seeing if he was hurt but honestly, he didn't seem all that bothered by it. She gave a soft sigh of relief before they told their goodbyes. Elina made sure to give him a sign that she wasn't gonna feel bad about it for today anymore. She kindly smiled as he left. Seijin made his way inside the building while Elina stayed outside for a bit longer to finish her coffee.

The boy she had met looked quite hot if she was to be honest about it. Blonde hair always had their ways with her, people can look so foreign by such simple trait. His personality was rather kind and chill. Not only that but he was way tall definitly a point for that. She didn't catch his name but at least she had a reason to approach him again if she would find him.

When she was ready Elina entered the auditorium, just like the other students. Immediately she made her way to the front of the large room seeing as there were still empty places all about the alligned chairs. She wanted to make sure she got a front row seat so she could follow the speech from the principal.

There were already a lot of people at the front that all looked special in their own way. First of all there was a girl with half black, half white hair that did seem reserve at most. Next a girl that didn't appear to be japanese to Elina, Kiko did look kind of wild. Next to Kiko was a girl named Yasu. The girl did look kind and beautiful, she wondered if she came from a rich family perhaps. Mari, a rather strict looking girl, it felt like she was looking down on others when she was talking with them. Not necessarily a bad trait though. And last up were Kaito and Kenji. Kaito did look a bit punkish but that didn't mean he couldn't have a good personality. As for Kenji, Kenji was a bright looking guy that did seem pretty hyped about all of this. She came across him during the enterance exam and even then he looked quite lively.

Elina approached the front row in her summer getup and walked close enough for them to feel the heat from her flames. She didn't want to stand out, yet it was noticable that she was there. Elina stopped in front of Kenji and gave him a brisk wave before she put both her hands in her sides.

"You are the hard shell boy right? We briefly saw each other at the entrance exam. I'm glad to meet you, my name is Yukira Elina. You can call me Elina if you like. How did your fight go? Did you win?"

Elina calmly spoke to the man showing a normal dose of excitement at meeting him. Elina had trained this summer to become a calm person instead of this aloof individual she had always been. She could keep her composure for quite a while now, her normal hyper personality had turned into a calm normal one instead as she could talk about anything now without jumping into someonce face. She wanted to make some friends finally and this was the way she believed. She had even trained on this exact conversation to be as normal as possible.

Elina moved over a few feet while listening to Kenji and sat down close to him still radiating heat towards the people next to her. She quietly apologised to the people next to her that she wouldn't be able to keep the heat down while still focussing on Kenji.

"Sorry if I'm bothering anyone with my fire. I can't turn it off."

"Excuse me, do you mind if I sit with you?"

Needless to say, Umi was taken aback. This had to be the second complete stranger to come up to the poor girl within the hour; or the third if one were to count Tanifuji. She looked slightly over toward the green-skinned girl that had leaves and a flower in her hair, but then sharply turned away the second she caught a glimpse of her, unable to bring herself to look the girl in the eye.

'Did this school put a curse on me or something?' Umi wondered.

Her head sank low again, but her eyes remained wide open and her face still had a blush of red. She didn't want to deny the girl a seat just because of an unfounded fear, but the fact remained that the girl's approach had unnerved her somehow...

As striking as the fiery head student was, Kenji had a hard time remembering Elina. During the exam, he went straight for Croc to show him how strong he had become. Eventually other students came along and briefly interfered but for most of the time it was him and the dragon boy. Though when he thought about it at one point a fireball whizzed past him while he locked arms with the giant of a man, then a feminine voice called out and apologized for not trying to help any further. He couldn't imagine any better source than the girl greeting him and was just glad she had the sense to leave a high fire risk area.

"Ah, it's you! It uh... well I'm here alive. I suppose that counts for something." Kenji laughed a little nervously thinking about the thorough beating that she must have witnessed. He was not at all ready for a fight with an opponent of Croc's caliber, his eagerness to prove his own strength only must have proved how weak he was to the students that saw. "I'm Kenji." When Elina had taken her seat she apologized to everybody around for making it warmer but Kenji knew the struggle of an uncontrollable quirk well and could sympathize with her. "Hey, it's okay. Not all of us can turn off our quirks." Kenji smiled, purposefully flicking his antennae back and forth and pointing to them to make a statement. "I understand."

---Hiroki
“You of all people are going make this school elite? The same person who has been making threats and disrespecting everyone is the same person who is going to take us to the summit? Shut your mouth for a second and think, we’re at Jigokuraku academy because nobody else would take us undesirables. Trash belongs with trash at the end of the day.”

Hiroki couldn't get the buzz from his initial proclamation. Once said, it is written in the sky with him, and he had a habit of not listening to people, which could be either really good or really bad. Regardless Hiroki raised his chin a little bit. "Dont know someone until they are under threat. You see how they tick." He tapped his head as if that was a lesson to learn. Ryota continued and Hiroki passed by him. "I don't talk to trash. So one of us is wrong." Take that or leave it.

"I knew you weren't that crabby all the time!" He giggled, stopping before the Tsunderplane and rocking back and forth on his heels enthusiastically. "Guodo-sensei already said my name but I don't know if you missed it or not since you were calling me Pixels, so I just wanted to say you can call me Shun, nice to meet you! Even though we kinda met at the exam, but you didn't really do anything but yell at me and I wasn't really thinking straight anyway so I guess that doesn't really count." And now he was babbling in run-on sentences. It's over, he's fully awake, "Hiroki, right? Or do you prefer Sakimoto? I know some people like to be formal!"

Again Hiroki's cool scene was interrupted by the kid with the pink scarf. If he was a badass, he certinaly had a bad way of showing it. He growled at the intrusion but it was quickly obvious that this kid wasn't going to let Hiroki go by. He was just going to stand there bobbing up and down and talking incessantly. Hiroki for the first time ever, had to recoil a little bit. The energy, the pep, the school spirit it was TOO STRONG. He put his hands in his pocket, trying to be cool again. "Yeah I got it. Datari Shun. Shun until I figure out otherwise. You can calm down now." He tried to get around him but it was not working. He went left, went right, and he couldnt dodge him.

“Because it’s not one of the Four Pillars, and that’s all anyone cares about; Jigokuraku isn’t U.A., Shiketsu or one of the others so no one thinks very highly of it. But it’s a new school and no one knows what it’s capable of, so it’s not like it has a bad reputation; it just doesn’t have any reputation yet. Sakimoto is right though; all that matters is the heroes this school creates. We’re the first students to attend here so its reputation is going to be whatever we make of it, good or bad.”

He asked him his name and he heard a rather tough looking girl mention him. He closed his eyes and conceded. "Hiroki's fine." Seemingly a little disappointed it had to fall back to such boring monikers. He didnt want to explain that he gave people nicknames. it helped him remember them.

He looked at Ryota, then at Akena, then back to Ryota. "See, she got the idea. If you're going to hate this place, you can atleast have fun with it." He thought a moment. He looked back to Shun. "Cmon' we should get inside." He took a step and then looked at Soga. "Yo Frodo you coming!? Bring in Starbucks and Cheerleader with you." Meaning Shiki and Yachiyo.

---Yachiyo

“You really shouldn't be talking about your own school like that, you know? I don't know what you think of yourself, but most of us are proud of this opportunity, Mister." Yachiyo had chimed in from the side, having overheard Ryota's comments. Though she didn't appreciate Hiroki's arrogance and rudeness from earlier, at least he seemed fired up, and stood up to this black hair'd boy's terrible attitude.

Straightening herself out properly, so as to stand almost eye-to-eye with the slightly-taller student, she furrowed her brows, like a disappointed mom, her fists digging into her sides. Leaning forward, she inspected the pessimist's features carefully, eventually giving him a little shake-of-the-head.

“Just because this isn't the first or richest or most famous school does not mean we are any less capable. If we do our best, people will realize this will be a great school. I don't know about you, but I'm not here because I am unworthy of somewhere else, I'm here because I'm not a natural-born fighter like those guys at U.A. and Shiketsu. And so what?!" As her speech sped up and her cheeks flared up, Yachiyo's voice grew louder and louder.

“We'll make this school a hit, whether you like it or not! So... Sooo... You... You better like it!"

Hiroki cracked a smile, but it was more of pft, that last line was pretty funny, particularly how she looked, like a scolding mom. "Pff. You tell him. Maybe everyone is a secret badass. Hoping anyway."

---Soga

Though Soga did not like Hiroki very much, he did eventually take his invitation to join them, especially since Yachiyo had already joined them. "We don't have to be all badasses, we just need to see how we all can work together and help people, isn't that what heroes do anyway? Soga had seen this particular line in an old movie and thought that it would fit, given the situation.

"That, And be badasses." He said with a sadistic grin.

However, though he did maintain his usual serious attitude about him, he could not help but sneak a look at Yachiyo and mentally sigh. Contact with her seemed to make him act a bit to recklessly for his liking.

---Shun

Shun followed along after Hiroki as the blue boy started beckoning the rest of the class to follow, his steps particularly springy now that his momentary nervousness had faded. Everyone was being positive now, and it seemed like they were determined to reach for the top regardless of what anyone said. Shun supposed one negative influence in the class wouldn't be too much of a bother so long as no one took him seriously. That didn't mean Shun had to like it, though.

---Ryota

Ryota shook his head at the replies that Hiroki had made, seeing how arrogant the guy was nearly bought a smile to his face, something that was a rare occurrence. This thought was broke when a boy with pink hair tugged on his sleeve, the pessimistic boy turned his head towards hiroaki with a disturbed face. His expression didn’t last long once he saw how utterly clueless this guy was. Before ryota could say anything, another girl the same height as himself spared him the energy and explained to the poor kid. But not without dropping her own two cents.

The smurf came back with his own remark which was probably the only thing that he’d take into consideration.

have fun with it huh

A smirk came over the boy as he thought about toying with everyone, he might just have to give it a try.

His train of thought was broken by the restless latecomer from earlier who jumped into the conversation. He was surprised she was even listening, he looked her in the eyes apathetically as she ranted on about him disrespecting the students and the school. The girl had leaned in closer with a rather displeased expression as she tried to break through to Ryota who was rather uninterested in what she had to say.

Out of disappointment in his peers the boy let out a sigh, “You sure your reason for coming here isn’t because you’re worthless at U.A. and Shiketsu? Because that’s what it sounds like, and for someone proud to be here you sure don’t look the part. Not only did you cut it close coming here , you look a mess” the boy said looking at the girls mud caked shoes.

---Shun

Shun quirked his head toward Ryota as he spoke up, continuing his earlier line of negativity. The green-topped annoyance's brows knotted together contemplatively. Was this guy an idiot? He was insulting himself just as much as he was insulting her.

"So why are you here if this place sucks so bad? You could've gone somewhere else," Pixels planted his hands on his hips like a disappointed parent ready to scold their misbehaving kid as he chided Ryota, "Doesn't even have to be a hero school, you could've gone to like a real school or something. Well, I guess this is a real school, but, like, a school-school!"

---Souta

Souta was shocked by Hiroki's sudden burst of encouragement, and his feeling of distaste towards the man had quickly been supplanted by a feeling of intrigue. The distaste hadn't quite gone away, but Souta felt that maybe there was more to him than what he had thought.

Of course, his faux-arrogance had quickly gained him a few looks of distaste from others in the class, it wasn't important to him, whatever they thought of him was their perogative, he wasn't in the business of impressing his classmates. As he followed the rest of the class into the room, he walked alone, but close enough to Hiroki and what was apparently his gang to overhear their conversation. He did notice another student that he hadn't paid much attention to before being quite negative, making it seem that the only reason any of the other students had come here was because of their inability to get into any of the better schools.

It wasn't totally innaccurate in Souta's case, he had simply gone to whoever was willing to accept him, but that was no reason to insult everyone else. Souta was probably just as negative as he was on the school, but he was sure that at least some of the students here made their choice purposefully.

As another of the students rebuked the young man, Souta glared over.

"I think you're projecting, just because you're a worthless failure doesn't mean everyone else is," he said, keeping up his facade of superiority.

---Ryota

Ryota turned to the green haired kid with eyes of annoyance when he asked about his reasoning for coming here. He couldn’t slander him for asking such a question as he would have done the same if he was in his shoes.

”If I could’ve gone somewhere else than I would’ve, but I gave someone my word.” Even trash like him had some kind of morals, people who went back on their word were worse than trash. “I applied here for the same reason a lot of other people did, because this was the only school that’d take someone like me.”

He them heard another student voice his opinions as he tried to save his and everyone else’s self esteem. It was sad to see how tightly these kids didn’t want to accept the reality of the situation at hand, the boy just smirked at the kids words.

”Sure I’m a worthless failure, but I most likely applied here for the same reasons as you, recieved the same letter as you, and am currently here like you.” Ryota began walked off into the building before turning his head back to leave the stone faced kid with something to think about.

”The worst thing about it, I hadn’t initially planned on becoming a hero but here I am now. Let that sink in.”

Before you knew it Ryota disappeared into the crowd of students.

---Hiroki

There was another in the group, he gave off the same vibe as Ryota but he came to Hiroki and the 'trash' defense with a grin and a glare. Hiroki gave him a little raise of a chin in acknowledgement before moving forward. "Who gives a crap about why you're here?" Hiroki moved ahead down the hall, following the rest of the class, hands in his pockets. He spoke as if it didn't matter why any of them were there. To him the reasons didn't matter. "The losers are the ones who aren't."

---Hiroaki

Hiroaki was approached by another girl as tall as the guy he asked. Like the mean-looking boy, she too has a pretty intimidating face and gave off this very confident aura as she walked towards Hiroaki. He was prepared to bound and run away as fast as he can while pleading for his life, but to his surprise the lady was gentle in explaining to him why the mean guy was spouting bad things about Jigokuraku Academy. Hiroaki nodded in understanding, now that he knows of the school's reputation. After the girl was done, Hiroaki smiled serenely at her and slightly bowed.

"Thank you for explaining it all to me, kind lady. Perhaps being new is a good thing, yes? That way, everyone of us can pave our own path in life as early as now. Hopefully our classmates can work together so- oh."

Hiroaki was surprised at another student arguing with the black haired boy, followed by another and another and another. With a worried look on his face, he watched as almost all of them stood up against the tall boy, angered by his poor choice of words, his arrogance, or possibly both. Hiroaki knew he should be doing something, anything, but he also knew anything he could say can only make matters worse.

Hiroaki sighed as he continued to look worrily on the black haired guy. So much for a great start for the new school year.

---Akeno

Kind lady? Akeno blinked at the chosen form of address, too taken aback to do anything else for the moment. It seemed more than a few people were willing to fill in for her however, as her fellow students pratically formed a line to take their turns at responding to the dark-haired teen and his negative attitude. It was heartening to see that a lot of the students were of the same opinion as her when it came to Jigokuraku, or were at least willing to make the best of the situation; maybe this place wasn't everyones first pick, maybe some of them weren't good enough to get in anywhere else, that didn't change the fact that it was still a hero school and they were still going to be able to get their liscence at the end of all this. Akeno didn't need to be the best, so long as she could be a hero.

Too bad not everyone thought the same way.

She watched as the walking cloud of negativety disappeared into the crowd, a frown on her face as she did so. Why did he even come here if this was the way he was going to act? He applied here to fufil his word to someone, but was he really doing that if all he did was give a half-hearted effort and tried to tear everyone else down on his way out? Well, he'd succeeded at souring her mood for now at least. As the other students began to move again, Akeno followed after them with much less enthusiasm than before.

---Hiroki

Hiroki would have rolled his eyes with the bickering behind him but he actually slowed to more or less admire the actual condition of the school. It looked, actually better than his primary school. Everything looked neat, polished even. He had to be kind of impressed. it was supposed to be a new school and he wasn't expecting the teachers to really care about it, but I guess if its new, best foot forward. Guodo Sensei atleast seemed to give a crap. Maybe the others did too. When he got to the courtyard, with what looked like a fancy stream and rain, Hiroki had to comment with a sharp whistle. "This actually isn't too bad. Wonder what the track and gym look like."

And as if answering him, they came to the assembly hall, which looked like the gym with chairs all set up. He saw the rest of the class get to their seats. Mari, the big guy, Checkers, a really tiny girl in the corner with pointed ears, everyone was showing off their disposition depending on where they sat. Hiroki actually wanted to get front and center, but he wanted to make sure his little gaggle had a spot, so he sat front row, keeping two seats next to him towards one corner, plenty of chairs around him. He sat, arms crossed, but head up. He wanted to see where this was going. He recognized the chrome dome girl and only could wonder what kind of power house she was.

---Shiki

Shiki attempted to branch away from Soga's group, but was unable to deny Hiroki's invitation. It would've been rude, plus he wanted to avoid getting on his bad side. However, he was briefly taken back by his newly received nickname.

S-Starbucks? That's a new one...

He reluctantly followed behind Soga and Yachiyo, quietly listening to the ongoing conversations around him. There wasn't anything he wanted to contribute, heated arguments were something he'd rather avoid. Although, he did favor Sakimoto over that dark haired guy.

Nonetheless, he stuck with the group until the time came to choose their seats. Shiki decided to pick a spot behind the bubbly husky student, the same one who unintentionally called Sakimoto a magical girl. He figured the husky student's large body frame would allow him to scroll through his phone throughout the orientation. After settling down into his seat, Shiki connected his tail into his phone to give it a bit of charging power while he browsed through unread messages.

---Soga

Soga for this whole time had stayed mostly quiet, choosing to let the louder students take the "spotlight" while he followed Hiroki. Currently, he was only present in body as his mind wandered, thinking of his current plans for this school and all he wanted to achieve here. So absentminded was he at the moment that he even sat right next to Hiroki right up in the front without even realizing it. Only when after a few more moments of pondering did he finally realize where he was and by that time, it was a bit too late to relocate to somewhere else, so, with a mental sigh he simply made himself comfortable alongside Hiroki and once again delved into his own mind to think of what he might do, or what might need to be done in order to achieve his purpose here at Jigokuraku and paying only minimal attention to the people around him or even the stage where the teachers would be.

---Ryota

The black haired boy was a bit skeptical on dropping off his bag at the door but did so anyway, placing his belongings in a few feet away from the entrance before continuing through the school.

Ryota took notice of the schools features which seemed to slightly surpass his expectations, most notably the courtyard which captivated his attention as he fell into thought about what he had seen to the piece of broccoli outside. He took a moment to assess the situation that he was in, 2 years ago he couldn’t have seen this coming. Hell when all might was still alive he couldn’t have seen this coming, but here he was in the hero course just because of some dumb agreement he made. The boy snapped back to reality when a student had bumped to him.

Upon entering then assembly hall Ryota looked towards the back of the hall as he planned to nab a seat in the corner though that idea fell flat. The seats that he has wanted left him without many options, the curly haired boy turned towards the front to see most of the undesirables from earlier sitting together. A sigh escaped from his lips as he looked towards the middle of the room noticing a blonde haired kid out cold as he laid on his jacket. The pessimistic boy made his way over to claim the seat to the right of him, seeing as though he was sleeping the guy wouldn’t bother him with pointless banter.

---Shun

Shun stuck his tongue out childishly as Ryota walked away, blowing a raspberry for lack of further admonishment. If he wanted to be a failure, fine. Neon Green turned away and followed after the group, letting out the occasional wide-eyed "Oooh," at the passing scenery. This school looked nicer than he expected. Although it was new, so he should've expected it to be pristine at the very least.

As he entered the auditorium, he filed in toward the front while still gawking at his surroundings, plopping boldly down next to Hiroki opposite the massive dragon. Shun tilted his head inquisitively. The reptilian boy seemed to be deep in thought, so this was probably an inopportune time to ask about his quirk. He really wanted to know if Soga could breathe fire or not. Oh well, it would have to wait until after the presentation. He turned his attention to the front, squirming restlessly in his seat already. It took him a few moments, but by the time the show was ready to start, he was only vibrating in place like a squirrel on a sugar high rather than outright bouncing in his seat.

---Hiroaki

Hiroaki's glance followed the black hair boy going through the entrance. He noticed most of the students were doing the same so Hiroaki continued into the school as well. His eyes wandered around to see the school has to offer, and he was very impressed. More from the fact that it's his first time actually going to school for a very long time. He remembered that he used to dread going to school as a child. Funny how time can change a person entirely.

Upon entering the auditorium, Hiroaki immediately went to the sides to put his things there, then stayed for a bit to check the seats. There were already those who were seated within their newfound groups, and Hiroaki can't help but feel jealousy towards them. He never understood how some people can already make so many friends even if they just met that day. He also noticed those who were already seated by themselves, perhaps they were earlier than the rest of them were or chose to ignore what happened outside and went straight in here. Then there's this one guy who was sleeping by the middle row and the black haired guy from earlier was seated next to him.

There were more students coming in the auditorium and Hiroaki might have run out of a good seat if he didn't act now. He chose to sit by the black haired boy's side and took out a sketchpad and pencil from his messenger bag. He decided to let his imagination run wild and doodle at a blank page while waiting for the event to start, humming happily and quietly.

---Akeno

Leaving her duffel bag with the rest Akeno entered the auditorium and began looking around for a place to sit. Due to her slowed pace most of the students had already found places to sit and the remaining chairs were filling up fast. With her options rapidly dwindling and feeling a bit rushed Akeno quickly sat in the first empty seat she found, finding herself seated behind the energetic, green haired student and the blue skinned loud mouth from earlier.

Elina

Location:
School assembly hall
@Jojo@Animal@ShwiggityShwah@Scribe of Thoth@King Cosmos@Claw2k11[Anyone at the front row]

After having passed by the beetle boy giving him a short introduction he took a moment to remember her. It was to expect, seeing how he was probably busy with something else at he time. She couldn't blame him. He did exclaim to remember her somewhat, that made her somewhat glad. It would mean that trying to befriend him wouldn't end up any more awkward then she already felt right now.

Kenji didn't seem to doubt the fighting skills of the crocodile teacher either, hearing that he was lucky to make it out alive somehow. Well she had huge respects for him to battle a teacher on that caliber and get accepted that way. Elina didn't know if he saved any dummies beside that, he likely didn't. Fighting a teacher so soon in the exam wouldn't leave you much time to escape him and save dummies. Elina knew that with her own teacher fight. Kenji introduced herself before she commented back on him

"He wouldn't leave you there to die, I think at least..."

Elina sat down and apologized, at her apology Kenji remarked something peculiar. He was okay that her quirk wouldn't be able to be turned off. Elina blushed softly at his pleasant reply gazing at her own lap. Elina directed her gaze towards Kenji and gave him a light smile. Kenji showed of the moving antenna on his head, he had a quirk that was always active as well of course because it was a mutant quirk.

"I suppose so."

Up till now she wouldn't see Kenji being so very nice after having seen him how he was in battle. Elina expected the boy to be more fierce and aggressive but he was actually really sweet. Is he always like this out of battle?

More students entered the auditorium and sat all around the room. Some of those students decided to sit at the front row as well, the first noticeable students was a girl wearing unfit winter clothes as well. Elina furrowed her brow and stared inconspicuously at her for a few seconds to see if she could notice anything off about her. Apart from her attire she could only guess that her quirk was a heat based quirk as well.

Next was a nerdy looking guy, Shun. He didn't look strong in any form so she suspected him to have a quirk that would fill up the lack of muscle he had just like her own quirk. He did appear to be rather excited about all of this.

The big dragon thing from outside came to sit with them as well, Elina curiously stared at him again. 'Could he breath fire' was her first thought. It might be intresting to get to know him as well, or her. It was dressed like a guy at least, yet she couldn't be cautiousness enough.

A new nerdy Starbucks guy came to sit behind them as well. For some reason his face annoyed Elina like she had spoken to him somewhere before, something like an IC chat. Anyhow, did he have a powerbank with him? A fancy one at that. It plugged itself into his phone. Must be his quirk, a simple one.

Blue guy came to sit with them as well, fun. She saw him more as a backseat kind of guy but she was wrong. Good for him to be this interested.

Assembly In Progress

Glossy light of the reflective kind bounced off The Proctor's forehead like a mirror, gleaming almost as bright as Goudo's polished smile. She shot both he and Tanifuji a deathly glare, tapping her foot twice and pointing to the floor, asking -- rather, forcing -- the two to make their way to her. While her features softened so to not leave a bad impression on the students, it wasn't hard to tell that she wasn't in a good mood. "Why are you two so late...?" Her tone was hushed to avoid attention, despite the fact midgets tended to draw attention to themselves anyway. "Mmmph. It's fine. We got everything set up. Fujino is backstage if you want to join her, though she should come out any second now. Itagaki is also around."

Tanifuji always wondered why Sakkaku Haruhi had bore such a grouchy look on her face as she demanded the two teachers' attention. Were it anyone else, Tanifuji would've drawn closer like she was asked. However, she distinctly remembered the first time they met, where she excitedly rushed over to meet the principal of Jigokuraku Academy, only to lose sight of Sakkaku completely as she got too close. As such, Tanifuji decided it would probably be best to stay exactly where she was... if only just to be safe.

As she and Goudo were expected to explain why they weren't already set up at the assembly yet, Tanifuji took the iniative.

"I, uh... actually had to double back home for a bit cause I forgot my cue cards and some equipment for today's class," she admitted, "On my way up again, I noticed that one of the students was struggling with the uphill climb to school, so I figured I'd better give her a ride. I highly doubt she would've made it to the assembly at all if I left her behind, never mind on time..."

Tanifuji was tempted to ask why Sakkaku had gone through will allowing Hiroki into the curriculum, but figured she'd best leave describing the incident to Goudo. After all, he was the one that had successfully diffused it before it got any further out of hand than it did.

Guodo Sensei scratched his head with a big disarming grin, knowing full well not to tic off Haruhi. He made that mistake once, never never again. He was straight with her. "Well, I was going outside to make sure that all the students arrived safely and it turned out the front door was locked. Then we had a little, ahem, disturbance at the front between a few students." He flashed a look at Hiroki but it was no more then a grin. The blue boy just grimaced and looked away.

"Its wasnt a big deal. Defused without incident. Just first day jitters am I right?" Guodo also had his doubts, and not just for the loud mouthed student, there was a bunch here that didn't have the drive, nor the type of personality to really drive on and succeed at the school, but- the principal wasn't a woman you could reason with once she made a decision.

They were told to essentially treat it as a challenge to mold their young minds and show them a better more, 'heroic' way. The principal thought she was very clever after that one. But anyway, Guodo Sensei stood next to Tanifuji. He was all smiles but she could probably tell he was nervous, partciularly through the way he immediately started futzing with his fingers.

First day jitters.

The students continued to fill the remaining seats. It looked as though they had accounted for extra, however for some reason, there were quite a few empty spots. With conversations devolving into student shenanigans, the time seemed about right to begin the assembly. With a resounding 'Click!', a light shone down unto the centre of the stage. For those who were particularly attentive, however unlikely that was in a school assembly, the light was apparently coming from... nowhere.

With her visual cue to guide her, Fujino Ukimi found herself under the spotlight. Presenting the opening of an assembly, especially after that one kid with the mask called her old, wasn't ideal for her. At this rate, she'd be seen as old like some kind of education staff member, ironically the very same people that she despised growing up.Ironically, the very same position she was in now. Of course, Fujino wasn't going to be anything like the old hags from her past. She was a good person, and already promised herself to do good for the students -- those that would listen, at least -- and not turn to yelling insults at them. Her temper could be held, and if need be she had her quirk, so everything would be fine. The thought crossed her mind to use it here and now, to get the students attention, but she ultimately decided against the idea. Clearing her throat, The Ruler began her opening speech.

"May I have your attention, please." The crowd chatter fell near-silent at her request, granting her their attention, or at least respect enough to allow her to speak. Though anxious, she utilised the ancient tactic of staring into the middle of the crowd to press on, pushing the temporary stage-fright to the side. "Welcome to the opening assembly for Jigokuraku Academy. I'm sure it was quite a trek getting up here on foot, as many of you might have experienced. Unfortunately, the school bus will be out of commission for the time being, as it sustained some damage during an entrance exam. The walk tomorrow won't be anywhere near as extreme, as we hope to set you all up in the dorms by the end of today."

Her voice was clear and her tone even - an experienced speaker for those attuned. Just another teacher who liked their own voice, for those less-than-focused. "That said, we're glad to see so many of you made it here without incident. My name is Ukimi Fujino, and I will be your speaker for today.""She's more formal than usual..." Muttered Sakkaku Haruhi, masking her surprise behind that stern, furrowed brow of hers. The same look she always wore, really. "First of all, congratulations to all of you who made it. Our entrance exams were created with the fundamentals of the heroics course in mind, covering the absolute basics of what's to come. While dummies are poor substitutes for human life, they served their purpose for the duration of the exam, with many of you valuing to save as many as you could. This is the essence of being a hero, and those who proved beyond doubt they had the capacity to excel in this regard were immediately seen as potential students. Furthermore, there were some of you even willing to stand up to the villains who threatened to cause further harm, be it to the dummies or your fellow students. The tenacity and spirit that these students showed during the exam was beyond expectation, and we are glad to have such able future heroes as Jigokuraku's own."

"We have lots to get through today, so to start us off, I'd like to call Itagaki-sensei, Sakkaku-sensei, Ohto-sensei, and Tanifuji-senpai to the stage for introductions."
So far, so good. Things were going smoothly. While the principal had left it unclear as to when she would return, she and Uranishi could be introduced together later. No doubt she wouldn't miss showing up at the end to talk about the special 'surprise' in store for the students, given her excitement for the subject. If they were lucky, she would show up sooner rather than later.

*BOOM*

*BOOM*

*BOOM*

*WHOOSH*

The doors clattered open with a terrible amount of noise as suddenly the bulk of was silhouetted in a massive figure. A figure of swollen limbs and a thick scaley tail. He walked into the assembly hall with a terrible presence. Just as frightening and terrifying as when he was on the battle field. A force of nature. A titan of destruction. Nine feet of rippling muscle and beastial might. Itagaki Naomoro stood tall, stood proud. He wore cackies, a button up, a blazer and a tie with mickey mouse pattern on it, all of which seemed to screaming to stay on his bulky frame. His squat head was a look of predatory malice and probably the fakes looking moustache on the end of his mutant snout.

He walked between the alleys his tail swishing heavy and fast enough to take off one of their heads if he wasn't careful. He approached the podium, towering over it. He looked at all the students and snarled.

He then grabbed the mic suddenly and began yelling into it. "Alright you maggots! LISTEN UP! My name is Itagaki Naomoro! You'll call me Itagaki Sensei! Ya got it!? Out in the field I was the Crooked Croc, where I took a bite out of crime every morning for breakfast! Unfortunately for you I'm all out of crime in this school!" He said with a threatening grin as he folded his arms.

Crooked Croc! For those in the know, he was a successful and famous hero for the coasts of Japan and he had a mean attitude! However in recent days Croc has been getting real popular with the kids, playing the 'villain' in other hero propaganda PSAs, and appearing for charity fundraisers, openings for schools, guest staring at amusement parks, and even hospital visits. He retired only recently from hero work, the reasoning to press being to take care of his own kids.

He slammed a claw down on the podium. "Here at Jigokuraku I'm going to be your quirk development teacher and team building coordinator. So I want you to stuff your hurt feelings and play nice." He suddenly pointed his claw out to the far left right at Hiroki. "IM LOOKING AT YOU AIRPLANE ARMS!"

This caused Hiroki to snarl, his hair standing on end and the engines in his arms to thrum threateningly.

"Along with that, I'm also your math teacher. And just by looking at you, I think you're all going to be nice additions to my class." He then opened his jaw wide and stood stone still. A silence. A long awkward silence as if he was waiting for applause. Suddenly he started whacking the podium and holding his chest howling with laughter. "RARARAR! Math! Additions! RARARARAR! That's a good one!" With that, he happily stepped down, laughing at his joke with little giggles. It was amazing that a folding chair supported his weight.

"I suppose I'm next..." Muttered Sakkaku under her breath, power-walking her way to the podium at a pace that matched an average person's stride. The Ageless Heroine, despite her size, drew a lot of attention as an individual. However, having not taken hero work to the public sector, Sakkaku Haruhi wasn't a name meant to be known among the students. Those who had connections to pro heroes of the present might know the name, however it was mostly reserved for heroes who made it big. Having to adjust the microphone from Itagaki's speech, the comparatively tiny staff member cleared her throat, just barely able to get her eyes above the podium.
"My name is Sakkaku Haruhi, and I am the Hero Program Director of Class 1-A. I'll be the one you come to for questions regarding your heroics course. Congratulations to everyone who made it. Your work is just beginning." Though fairly underwhelming, Sukkaku's speech caught the attention of Azukina, who seemed to be heavily invested in the teachers. She made a mental note of Sakkaku's importance, questions burning in her head about the exam. As the director took her seat, she gave a subtle nod towards Goudo and Tanifuji, indicating one of them should go next. The size difference between herself and Itagaki was... immense.

Guodo's turn was up and he approached the podium. Getting in front of a crowd paradoxically made him more calm and more confident. It was the showsman in him that took over rather then the planner, and as homeroom teacher, he had alot on his plate to look after the well being of twenty so odd students with either a heart full of fear, or full of pride. He straightened up with a grin and made his presence know. "Welcome! As I said outside, I'm Ohta Guodo. Ohta or Guodo Sensei is fine. Ill be your homeroom teacher and your history teacher. It may sound silly but you need to have a grasp on the history of the country, of quirks, of politics, and of hero work. Its going to make understanding how things work these days that much easier."

He knew he was talking about boring stuff and so with fists on his hips looking heroically. "As exciting as that is, I'm sure you're more interested in the hero program. It'll be my job to look after your training and well being as well as coordinate and plan field operation and training curriculum. For instance. Starting tomorrow, one of you will be elected to act as your class representative. Basically a liason between teachers and the class as well as taking on additional responsibility. I expect all of you to gun for this position. Show off your skills as a true bonefied leader." He smiled widely and gave a big thumbs up.

He didn't realize the paradox of this. If everyone is running for representative, then they'd only vote for themself, and no one would win. He continued. "And today, before being assigned your dorms, we're going to test and guage your quirk. This will be an excellent way of introducing yourself to your class and to show us what you're bringing to the table. Nows the time to show off and go PLUS ULTRA!" He raised a fist in the air and said a rather old fashioned and archaic cheer. A little old school nowadays.

Finally, it was Tanifuji's turn to walk up to the podium and say her piece. She looked through her cue cards one last time to ensure she memorized what she was supposed to be saying up there, before "pocketing" them in her bust and moving forward.

"HELLLLLLOOOOO, EVERYONE!!" a very prominent projection of Tanifuji's voice rang across the entire hall, along with an eerie distortion coming from the mic of all things. Seeing a number of students hold fingers in their ears in discomfort, including Umi's of all people, Tanifuji raced to make the necessary corrections, before continuing on with her big speech.

"Whoops, guess this mic wasn't calibrated for my voice," she mused aloud, emitting a giggle as she rubbed the back of her head in embarrassment, "In any case, welcome to Jigokuraku Academy, everyone! This is Tanifuji Egao, speaking, though you should call me Tanifuji-senpai on campus. Not sensei! Senpai. That's a very important distinction. Sensei would make me sound like an old hag... or rather the old hag, am I right, Fujino-chan? Huh? Huh?! Am I?"

Tanifuji held a hand to her left ear and leaned slightly in that direction, as if she was expecting a response to her own friendly jab. Whatever the case, she shook her head and waved her arm in dismissal, supposing that she best continue with the task at hand.

"Never mind; I digressed anyway. Now, as I was saying, I'll be your gym teacher, and I'll also be your trusty combat coach. You might be asking, 'What's a combat coach, Tanifuji-senpai?' Well I'll tell you: the combat coach is the guy you get to thank for teaching you how to smack those villains around!"

In order to emphasize her point, Tanifuji slammed her fist in her open palm. She could then be seen cracking her knuckles as she kept talking.

"Oh, but my job won't be easy," she warned the students, "Villains can take up all sorts of strategies to get what they want or best their adverseries; and some of them are very powerful. Just take the lot of us during the entrance exam when we were playing the part of the villians. No doubt those of you who'd confronted us would've struggled to get anywhere. I can't promise that my course will be any easier to perservere through, but what I can promise is that I'll shape you up to be the best heroes that you can be!"

She grinned from ear to ear as she held two fingers in the air. Tanifuji was evidently quite proud of her speech, and she was also quite proud of herself managing to memorize most of it off by heart. Well, there were a few things here and there that she needed the cue cards for, but in any case..

"That's all from me!" she told the student body, "Uranishi-sensei couldn't make it to assembly today, so I'll give the floor back to Fujino-sensei so she can wrap things up. Thanks for listening, everyone!"

With a wave back to everyone, Tanifuji made her way backstage, leaving Fujino to bring the assembly to an end.

The MC was still glaring daggers at her fellow teacher from her place by the back of the stage as Tanifuji finished up. Her eyes followed her all the way to her seat, at which point the older woman sighed and shook her head. She took to the Podium and quickly put in her own introduction. "Like I mentioned at the beginning of the exam, my name is Fujino Ukimi, and I am your Academics and Professional Development Teacher. Put simply, I'm going to be the boring one to teach you all of the important life skills that makes you into fine young adults, such as English, Economics, and Social Studies. However, I might also help out when it comes to the more social aspects of the hero program, such as proper speech when speaking with injured civilians, how to turn a hostile situation social, and how to pick up on cues."
It was a bit underwhelming compared to her fellow teachers, but she needed something heroic to tie herself to the program! Getting labelled a useless academics teachers was too much for her.

The rest of the assembly was a basic rundown of the school uniforms and their distribution, apparently already in the dorms for sorting by the end of the day, and the gym uniform, also to be picked up in the dorms around the end of the day. In the meantime, it would seem as though they would be going through quirk demonstrations as well as a rundown of the exam history, followed by some quirk testing and a battle between the support class and hero class. With the rest of the day out of the way, it looked as though everything was wrapping up. "And with that, we'll call it in for today. Heroics Class 1-A, could you please stand first and go with Goudo-sens-"

A figure burst forth from the back of the room, for some reason not using the back stage entrance. Her walk was deliberate and filled with energy, even if her dishevelled mien contradicted her pace. She was gunning right for the podium, walking straight up to the microphone with vigor, almost knocking Fujino out of the way. The extra seat, reserved in case Uranishi actually showed up, gave the final teacher a place to sit, while the final member to be introduced today made her presence known.
"We haven't even got to my introduction yet! How in All-Might's good name do you expect these kids to go about their first day in school without being introduced to their LOVELY principal? Ahahaha~!"

Looking to be in her late 40's to early 50's, the principal looked as though she had prepared for the occasion, yet got into a fight on the way to the assembly. Her grey coat and blue button-up suggested some kind of fashion crisis, wrinkled lines and baggy eyes combining professionalism with a serious case of insomnia that got worse with age. In spite of all that, she had the same enthusiasm as Tanifuji, and, considering she set up much of the assembly in the first place, looked to be in good spirits. "Look at you all! It's so good to see such a great turnout after our exams! I know one group had some trouble being unable to finish theirs, but hey, you stuck around! I knew you would!"

As though starting to realise herself, the principal straightened up and adjusted her glasses, similar in fashion to Shiki. "Ahh, but where oh where are my manners? My name is Tokisaki Miraime, and believe it or not, I used to be famous! You're looking at a former top-5 hero of Japan right here, admittedly well past her prime. But of course, I expected the silence, you wouldn't know my real name after all these years." The principal leaned forward with a determined look in her eye, staring into the crowd, sourcing out those who actually knew her hero name. "The Foresight Hero: Oracle Thought! Some of you may have heard of me in your history books, eh? The hero who could see any attack coming, and dismantle any master plan! Always one step ahead, even when one step behind!"
Those who knew about heroes of the past undoubtedly knew of Oracle Thought. A pro from the pre-Symbol era, her quirk allowed her to calculate the future, with supposedly 99% accuracy back in her prime. Having retired shortly before All-Might came into the world, her hero record was never drowned out by his radiant light, and has kept some level of popularity among retro hero enthusiasts. She is capable of telling the immediate future with stunning precision, and can go further beyond, but relies on the knowledge at her disposal to make accurate readings.

"Ahahahaha~! It's cute to know that an oldie like me is still remembered so fondly, but I see not everyone here knows me. That's alright, I'm not here for me, I'm here for you guys! But you're probably done with this whole assembly by now to be honest! I mean, I know I would, who wants to sit around and listen to teachers all day, RIGHT?!" She shot her teachers a playful, beaming smile, only to be met with mixed reactions from them all, most of which unpleasant. Awkwardly, the principal rubbed the back of her head and returned her attention to the students. "A-anyway, now I know you all want to go but trust me, I have one more important piece of information to tell you. So if you haven't been listening this entire time, this is the only thing that should matter to you."

Sakkaku knew full well what she was about to say, and blocked her ears in advance. It wasn't her place to but in, even if it was technically against the rules.

"Jigokuraku Academy's Hero Class 1-A! In one month's time, you will be officially recognised members of Japan's elite Four Pillars Project. Congratulations."

Tokisaki's seriousness was evident almost immediately. Her shift in demeanour seemed permanent, as she continued: "I'm not supposed to tell you that. In fact, I'm also not supposed to tell you that you have an upcoming sporting event in two months involving the Four Pillars: the Four Pillar Games. I also shouldn't tell you about the crossover training events scheduled for every three months, or the fact you'll be taking a Provisional License Exam this year, or that you're part of a rotating class that is replaced every year. I don't think you're supposed to know that you'll be up against the best in all of Japan, and you were partly selected because you and your quirks had promise where others faltered."
The principal shrugged her shoulders, no longer sporting the hyperactive persona she had been wearing for awhile now. Though not quite as serious now, the jovial nature had been sucked right out of her, and instead replaced with a wave of tiredness. Suppressing a yawn, the principal powered through. "But yeah, that's all I wanted to say! Go get together with your teachers or something, and, uhh, have fun! Remember: no questions. For now. Oh! And one last thing?"

She was about to walk away, however hurriedly returned to the microphone to get out her final message: "When the future turns to present, make me proud, m'kay? Oh, and leave the chairs! I'll get those..."
With that, the eternally tired principal disappeared backstage, leaving the disassembly to Fujino, who reiterated her previous request. It was a lot to take in for their first assembly, but one could argue it wasn't the most boring. First on the list of things for the day: quirk demonstration under Goudo-sensei. Now was the time to get familiar.

Yutsuko Soga

Interaction/Mentions: @Delta44@ShwiggityShwah@AdmrlStalfos19 @Anyone who was directly behind Soga or who wants to interact with him

Soga stood motionless as he waited for whatever the teachers had planned, his usual slight glare turned into a full glare as he anticipated the coming of the teachers. He knew of the several more famous heroes that had become teachers, as he made sure to research them the moment he had decided to join Jigokuraku, however, there was not as much info on them, at least not the kind of information that he cared to find out.

Of the ones who he thought would be knowledgeable about any sort of information about his father would be Itagaki Naomoro and the principal of the Academy herself considering she had been a top hero in the past as well and would have definitely clashed with her at some point. Despite that, he expected that all of the teachers would recognize his father's villain name, at least, and who knows, they may actually have some sort of pertinent info about his father, though whether they would tell it to him would be another issue entirely, he would have to try and manipulate them in some way to make them reveal any sort of info.

However, his attention was taken by a light turning on and one of the teachers going on stage. His eyes became affixed to this new teacher, Ukimi Fujino, also known as the Ruler. Unfortunately that was about all he knew about her, the rest would only go into speculation and guesswork and being who he was, Soga would only settle for the actual information itself, though in this case, even he could not help but to let himself go for a few moments and speculate. The nickname The Ruler, would imply in itself that her quirk would have something to do with influencing someone to do her bidding, or maybe, judging by the authoritative sound of it, it would be more like forcing them to comply, which would be a good quirk for a teacher and even better for a villain.

She was an interesting person, nevertheless and Soga could not help but actually be drawn in by her speech... until she said the names of the rest of the teachers, then he snapped back to reality and waited for the next teacher to enter the stage. However, the loud clattering of the door took him by surprise as much as it had taken anyone else and he could not help but be slightly on edge as the massive beast of a man came inside. Back at the entrance exam, he had been surveying the arena in flight for dummies, however, when he saw Kenji getting beaten by the one person other than his mother that he knew had ties to his own father, so, in anger, he let reason pass him by and he flew down to fight. He soon realized that fighting Croc would quickly turn out bad and that it did. The two of them did little actual damage and only proved to be an annoyance in the end, while he and Kenji had taken an incredible amount of damage from the fight itself. As a result of that, he growled quite loudly, enough for the people around to hear him.

Quirk development and team-building were not the first things had expected the large man to teach and he could not help but grin momentarily as he singled out Hiroki of all people in needing of team-building exercises. It was even more entertaining when Hiroki snarled back and turned his turbines on for a moment. However, something that took Soga by surprise was when he heard that the he was also their math teacher. Soga's mind went momentarily blank as he found that info, even he could not process that fact. Still, then, Itagaki Naomoro would absolutely love Soga when it came to math.

The next was the proctor, Sakkaku Haruhi. She was a nightmare to try and find any info about her, as nobody even knew who she was, let alone if she had any pertinent info about his father. However, the moment he found out that she was the Hero Program Director, his interest in her peaked. What that position meant was that she would have all sorts of information on villains and, more importantly, his own father. He would take note of that, however, the shortness of her speech and the arrival of the next teacher put these thoughts aside as he could not help but once again growl in anger, though this time a bit more quietly.

Ohta Goudo himself, the Smiling Hero, the one who all the ladies loved, his mother, his sister and now Yaochiyo. The jealousy made anger burn in his chest and without even realizing it himself, his tail started to swish around behind him, most likely hitting their legs. However, he could not let emotion take him over again, so he calmed his thoughts and listened to the speech in a more calculated manner.

As he listened, Soga's eyes briefly lit up as he found that the Smiling Hero was their homeroom and history teacher. Another person who could have potential info on his father, though the amount of info he would have was unknown, after all, his father only recently came into the limelight as a villain, crushing heroes and villains altogether as long as they were in his path, all the while preaching about freedom of the self and taking nothing from nobody. His attention once again came to Goudo as he mentioned someone being class representative tomorrow. He grinned as he said he would expect everyone to run, after all, why should the other bother to run when Soga knew himself to be the perfect fit for the job, with maybe Yomodachi Azukina being someone he could see being perfect for that job.

The final piece of pertinent info from the Smiling Hero was the test to gauge their skills. He wondered what he would be made to do considering all his quirk did, as far as he knew, was turning him into an overgrown lizard with a tail and wings. Maybe the teachers would be able to tell if that was all there was to his quirk, of if there was something more to develop about it.

His eyes came once more into view of the next teacher, Tanifuji Egao and the one least likely to have any info on his father. He had done some research on her, just in case, however, she was not his priority and listened to her own speech with much less interest than he had done for the others. Her comments made it blindingly clear that she was the type of person that disliked anyone who would even insinuate that she was in any sort of way, old. However, one piece of important info did come to mind and that was the fact that Tanifuji was the combat coach, the one who would be teaching them to fight villains and the various strategies.

Then, his interest in her increased a fair bit and the fact that she was called The Dragon, hinted as to what she was capable of then and there.

After Tanifuji cleared the stage, Fujino Ukimi came onto the stage once more, this time presenting her own classes and even someone as studious as Soga had to admit that her classes were not exactly the definition of fun, English, Economics and one of his least favored subjects, Social Studies. Despite that, he still considered them all necessary, especially Social Studies, which would help become a better socializer, and by proxy, a better leader.

The meeting was about to end, with Fujino about to clear the stage once more. And as if on cue, Soga rose to his feet, ready to move in to ask his few teachers a question or too, nothing TOO direct as they would become perhaps a bit suspicious of his intentions of his questions. However, the doors burst open once more as someone he clearly recognized to be Tokisaki Miraime, former top class hero, now to be their principal. Soga sat back down as she started her speech and sighed as he had to wait for another person to introduce herself.

However, though at first he didn't like it, her energetic demeanor made him actually smile for a moment. The smile, however, quickly went away as she spoke about the Four Pillars Games themselves, the crossover training events, the Provisional License Exam, however the one that hit him the hardest was the rotating class part at the end of the year. That would mean that he would have only one year to find out info about his father, to find him... things had just become much more difficult for Soga and his mind drew a blank as he tried to make up new plans to find his villain of a father and finally put an end to him.

For a while, he stood like that, as an unmoving statue, until he realized that the speech was done and that students were slowly rising up. His eyes cleared up in less than a moment as he knew what he had to do now.

So, rising up from his seat, Soga advanced towards the teachers, who had not split up just yet. He put on his best smile and bowed ever so slightly before them to show the respect they were supposedly due as his teachers for one year, then proceeded to speak, perhaps ever so slightly miffed that he would have to compress his plans into a much smaller time-frame.

"Sorry for disturbing you, but even though I am a student, I thought that I should congratulate you for the speeches, I could not pry my eyes away for the entire thing." He said, with ever so polite smile. "However, I also have a question for you before we proceed with today's activities, if it would not be too much to ask." He paused enough for the teachers to have time to voice their opinions. As he did so, he snuck a glance towards Croc and wondered if he had made the connection between Soga and his father.

After an appropriate amount of time, Soga, faking a quite impressively believable worried look, asked the question. "Are we safe here?" he asked, quickly making sure he continued with his question, as to make sure they did not have time to answer the question. "Because I heard a rumor that a strong villain was near the town... the name slips me." He paused once more, making sure to seem thoughtful for his part, as if he was raking his brain for the name of what he was searching for.

Then, when he considered the time was right, his face would light up and proceed with the crux of his scheme. "Right, his villain name was the Black Dragon!" He said as if having just remembered that name. He would hope that at least the teachers would be smart enough to realize that very few people knew the nickname of his father, or knew him at all, for that matter. He also hoped that those who had seen him would be able to make the connection between himself and his father.

Unfortunately, this was way more rushed than he would have hoped, his original plan would have had him ask this question, much, much later when he had already properly met the teachers and formed some sort of friendly relations with him, when they would be much more liable to answer him, but now, with less time to do this, he would have to hurry everything along really fast, after all, who else but he to smash Yutsuko Kudo's, or rather, the Black Dragon's face in, but his own son.

Shun continued his anxious vibrating throughout most of the assembly, his wide-eyed gaze captivated in awe at the stage as the teachers gave their respective spiels. Despite a couple of them, namely Croc, trying to come off as intimidating, Shun found the staff absolutely endearing. He had almost completely forgotten that hero courses were taught by actual pros, even if he didn't recognize most of them. Guodo's mention of a quirk exhibition followed by Tanifuji's mention of combat coaching had him particularly excited, and his legs were starting to twitch with the anticipation of kicking something. From an outsider standpoint, he probably looked like he really had to pee.

As Tokisaki bursted in at the last minute, Shun practically leapt out of his chair to get a better look (although he stayed close enough to the chair to still arguably pass for 'seated' should he be called on it). The principal was definitely not what he was expecting. Even from her appearance, she looked like some crotchety old lady who wanted to be left alone and would snap at you if you bothered her. But she was so... animated. Shun tentatively decided he liked her, even if the other teachers didn't.

He felt an abstract pang of guilt as the principal adjusted her glasses before getting serious. It took him a minute to piece together what exactly about that motion made him uncomfortable, neglecting his full attention to Oracle Thought as she properly introduced herself. Of course! He never did check on Shiki after he ran off screaming earlier. Was he supposed to apologize? Shun tilted his head backward, although he could barely get a glimpse of the tailed boy behind the massive brute sitting in front of him. He didn't dare lean back further with the assembly going on, lest he already get in trouble - wait, he was supposed to be listening.

He tuned back in just in time to catch the Four Pillars announcement, which had him practically holding his breath to suppress an excited squeal. When she got to provisional licenses, Shun was grabbing at the sleeve of Hiroki's shirt, trying to tug at it rapidly like an excited child trying to get a parent's attention. He kept swiveling his gaze between Tokisaki and Airplane Arms, trying to convey his enthusiasm to his blue-skinned classmate silently with his eyes alone.

When the talking finally stopped, Shun sucked in a deep breath; he had barely gotten any air for that last segment. He started bouncing up and down in his seat and excitedly jabbering to anyone who would listen, although his face was pointed at Hiroki.

"That's so cool! I thought this place was supposed to be awful, but this is amazing! Provisional licenses as first years is practically a U.A. only thing! And we're actually going to compete with them!" He wanted to scream. He wanted to run up and personally hug whoever made that possible. He wanted to run around until all his energy was burnt out. He wanted to kick something. But he settled for just hopping to his feet with a stupid grin adorning his face. He still had classmates to meet and a support class to beat, apparently. He couldn't waste all his energy yet.

The large eared girl was breathing deeply, attempting to calm her stomach as the wait for the teachers' arrival waned on. As the familiar looking male teacher and a placid looking woman (who seemed rather nervous despite her appearance) began to introduce theirselves and the curriculum, the small girl slipped into routine, and felt a wave of normalcy. A blush welled in the small girl's face as she was congratulated on her performance in the entrance exam. She didn't feel as though she deserved it, but swallowed the compliment nonetheless.
As the teachers' names were being announced, the girl's left ear began to flick backwards. It sounded as if someone large was shifting about behind her. So the small girl was perhaps startled by the volume of the sound, but not surprised as the large individual burst through the doors. She was, however, taken double aback as she noticed his appearance. He looked like a man and an alligator at the same time! Could his Quirk have been like hers? Or was he one of those animals with a Super-Intelligence Quirk that she had heard about?
Either way, he introduced himself rather loudly as Itagaki Naomoro, the Pro Hero Crooked Crock. His assertion as the Quirk Development teacher interested her, despite being mildly pained by his loud voice, even from the back of the room. The large eared girl's self doubt began to creep in again, fearing that her Quirk had nowhere to go aside from how she was born. However, as Itagaki-sensei uttered a rather rudimentary pun, the girl couldn't help but stifle a small laugh into a barely audible nasal snort. That was certainly an unexpected turn. Perhaps his air of intimidation had all been an act?
Next to appear was a rather young looking individual with a ridiculously tight bun that seemed to drag every strand of hair along her scalp. Introducing herself as Sakkaku Haruhi, the bat-like girl's heart sank as she heard she was not only the head of the Hero Program- meaning all her potential failures would have to answer to her- but also the exam proctor. Her stomach knotted. Proctored exams were the absolute worst. She hated feeling the eyes of an authority figure boring into the side of her head as she was trying to think. The briefness of her speech made it all the more dreadful- the poor girl had so much pressure on her already.
Next was the tall, smiling man, Ohta Guodo-sensei, whose appearance set her at ease immediately. The fact that he was going to be their homeroom teacher set her mind at ease. However, her ease immediately turned to a small fright as he urged everyone to vie for class representative. Not only did she dread the thought of being in such open competition, especially if she felt she may lose outright, but the extra responsibilities were totally not what she was about right now.
However, as this segment of the speech came to a close, she very subtly raised her balled fist, elbow bent at a ninety degree angle and softly repeated "Plus Ultra."
Next was the rather energetic- if not neurotic seeming- Tanifuji Egao, who was to be their combat instructor. Being unfamiliar with this particular individual, she was unable to judge what exactly that would mean. The short girl did hope that she could tone it down during that time, however. Such high-energy behavior over an extended period of time was so draining. And did she hear... note cards shuffling?
After, the placid looking woman- reintroducing herself as Fujino Ukimi. Aside from Gudo-sensei, she was the only one who actually looked like a teacher. After explaining that she would be teaching more practical elements, the short girl nodded. This, at least, made sense. Normal school stuff; She could do that. The rather reserved girl had a bit of a shudder, though, at the public presentation elements of this. Clearly not her strong suit. The mundanity of explaining school uniforms, however, brought her mind back to the level.
Again, as the introductions were shifting, she heard someone else coming towards the door. This individual, as she would soon see, sounded much more scattered than the heavy footfalls of Itagaki-Sensei. The somewhat elderly looking woman introduced herself in a cheery, but not over-the-top way, as the school's principal, Tokisaki Miraime. Something about the name seemed to itch at the girl's mind, only for it to be explained to her in proverbial bold face text.
The slight girl's jaw dropped. Their principal was none other than the one and only-
"Oracle Thought..." she whispered to herself.
Yes indeed, she could see it now. One of her most treasured role model Pro-Heroes was their Principal. The small girl's eyes practically sparkled at this, almost missing the more dire tone of things that must not be spoken.
Upon the completion of the morning assembly, the girl stood along with the other students, making her way to the central aisle. By the time she made her way there, it seemed other students were already coming down the path. Not wanting to cut anyone off, or draw that much attention to herself, the girl waited, arms crossed at the wrist in front of her hips, fingers knitted together, for the end of the line. As much as she didn't want attention drawn to her, she wanted even less to get lost in the new school grounds. And so, the short girl, possibly easy to miss, if not for her large ears, watched as the veritable menagerie of students walked by.

Souta wasn't good at paying attention in assemblies. Hell, he wasn't good at paying attention to much. He did feel it kinda necessary to pay at least a little bit of attention here, considering the fact that this assembly was probably going to serve as the thesis statement for the entire school year.

An introduction to each of the teachers would be a godsend for Souta, he didn't remember names on a brochure or in a program listing, and getting a grip on their personalities would certainly aid him in his future endeavors, who to avoid pissing off and who to suck up to for a chance to get out of work.

The speaker made her boring introductory statement, always the least interesting part of any event, we know what we're here for, stop holding us hostage with your word soup and get to the important parts.

One of the important parts stomped his way in very suddenly, making Souta jump in his seat a little bit. He seemed rather confident. Souta figured him for the kind of guy who would make an example of a student who spoke wrong in his class, and a line about shelving their feelings or something of the sort immediately turned Souta far, far away. Anyone who had that "suck it up" philosophy immediately lost all of Souta's respect. Bottling up something, no matter how small, was a solution not worth a thing. Souta would have fun spiting his authority. Of course Souta may have been interpreting things incorrectly, it may have just been a jab towards the stronger-willed students of the class. Souta had wished that he'd paid a slight bit more attention to the goings on in the hero world, then maybe he'd have a better understanding of who these people really were.

Next came a simple introduction from their program director. Short, sweet, and informative. Why couldn't all assemblies be that simple?

Next was their homeroom teacher, the one who had intervened outside before. He was more talkative, but his words weren't wasted, he swiftly informed the class of their responsibility to elect a representative, and the upcoming quirk test. Souta was a bit nervous about that part, his quirk wasn't exactly the most showy-type thing. It'd turn out fine, he assured himself, they let him in after all, they wouldn't kick him out that fast. He was a fan of Guodo-sensei, he had to admit, quite the charming fellow, and even his sort-of cringeworthy chant afterwards wasn't too bad, though the members of the crowd that took up the chant caused Souta to cover his face for a moment. Second-hand embarrassment was a real thing.

Next was an incredibly loud woman. Very, very loud. Loud and rambling. Long rambling. Souta found himself wishing for a plane to drop onto the building just to get her to shut the hell up. She was their combat coach apparently, and Souta was extremely displeased by this revelation. He was already very worried about combat courses, and this didn't make things better.

Finally, thank god, she stopped talking, and the speaker took her place once more. She was the academics teacher, great, whatever, she didn't seem to have much of a personality. The demonstration of the school uniforms was surprisingly exciting to Souta. The white variant of the general uniform was actually very nice looking, Souta could see himself wearing that no issues, and the gym uniform seemed simple enough, something that he could surely move around in quite easily.

And then the principal shot in, immediately seizing the audience's attention and establishing herself as a hero of some renown.

Souta had no clue who the hell she was. He wasn't a hero fan, he could name every baseball player in the league but he couldn't name a single hero outside All Might. She seemed to be a bit of a big deal though, and certainly acted like it. Well, she informed everyone that they were part of the... Four Pillars? Whatever that meant, and apparently that meant they had a sporting event coming up. Cool, he guessed, probably not the sporting event he wanted but it was something.

Well that was that, not as bad as he thought, but not interesting in the least. Well, time for quirk demonstrations. Souta was rather nervous to be honest, but again, he reminded himself that he had no reason to be worried. Hopefully he would do alright.

"Well, I'm kinda worried, if the quirk demonstrations are anything like that assembly then they'll be a shambles."

He wasn't talking to anyone in particular, but he had somehow found himself behind a large-eared girl with a bat-like appearance. He didn't recognize her, but he felt the need to apologize if he was bothering her.

"Sorry, just talking to myself."

Quirk: USB (Tail)

Interactions: @Jojo and anyone else seated near him. @Scribe of Thoth@ShwiggityShwah

From an outsider point of view, Shiki appeared to be rather inattentive throughout most of the orientation. Returning nothing more than an occasional glance for each speaker before going back to his phone with a bored expression on his face. What made it worse, was that he used the husky student as his personal shield to hide himself from getting caught. On the contrary, he was doing something productive by constantly taking notes with his phone through the use of his tail. He was capable of uploading his thoughts directly into his phone or any communication device for that matter. There was little movement involved, it was one of the few perks about his quirk.

The only notable reactions he expressed were during Itagaki-Sensei's and Tanifuji-Sensei's speeches.

In the case of Itagaki, Shiki had to momentarily cover his mouth with one hand to prevent himself from laughing after hearing such acute pun. His smile was hidden, but soft sounding little squeaks escaped his lips. It was highly embarrassing, but he had a weakness for puns. No doubt Croc-Sensei will be one of his favorite teachers, despite his intimidating appearance.

Shiki didn't want attention drawn to himself caused by his squeaking, so he hoped the sound was drowned out by other noises in the room or ignored entirely. After settling down, his eyes wandered around the room, double checking to make sure nobody was staring at him before eventually looking back to his phone. If Shiki did make eye contact with someone, he would immediately break it and lower his head in embarrassment.

The moment arrived for Tanifuji-Sensei to speak...Shiki didn't view Tanifuji as the cute fake neko sensei that she is, all he could see was a stress inducing villain who tormented him during the entrance exam. Her strong introduction nearly caused him to flee, but the husky student in front of him made Shiki feel safe enough to remain seated. However, he was still hunched over in his own seat with a terrified look on his face, hiding half of that expression with one hand. His breathing was heavy, which could be heard by those seated around him, particularly the husky student. Regardless of how he was perceived by the others, it was actually a good sign, considering he didn't turn tail and run or scream this time. It was a small bit of progress on his long road to recovery.

It was not until Tanifuji exited the stage that he begun to finally calm down. To anyone who were concerned, he would respond with a hand gesture like saying if he was fine and an apology for the disturbance. Shiki returned to his normal seating posture and remained quiet throughout the rest of the assembly, up until the principal's sudden appearance. He was already aware some of the staff members were famous pro heroes, but he could not recall who the principal was at first based on appearance alone. The Foresight Hero, that title did ring a bell, but he would have to brush up on his history in that case. They were all inspiring, although he doubted he could reach that level of heroism himself. Excluding Tanifuji-Sensei, he wanted to be well-acquainted with all of them.

The announcement regarding the Four Pillars caused Shiki to hesitate for a moment. In one hand, this was a huge opportunity for him to prove his worth. He didn't want to think he made it this far out of dumb luck. But, would he truly be able to compete against the other schools, given his inexperience?

After the assembly came to a close, Shiki stood up and followed everyone else to Goudo-Sensei. To be honest, he was a little nervous about quirk demonstration. Unsure how he could explain himself in front of many different people, who he assumed all had better quirks. When his eyes met Shun, he recalled having exchanging quirk information with him during the entrance exam. Shiki contemplated if he should poke everyone with his tail as a demonstration, only because he wasn't fond of long winded explanations. Although, he figured using quirks against other students without their consent were against the rules. It was a fun thought.

He'll figure it out when the time comes. For now, Shiki attempted to quietly move towards Shun's location, wishing to regroup with Hiroki and the others for quirk demonstration.

Interacting with Kenji @jojo Soga @Claw2k11 and Fujino @Delta44

"See I knew some of them would get it!" He elbowed Fujino in the shoulder since she generally didn't care for his stupid jokes. Croc seemed in such high spirits when he heard some spurting here and there from some of the folks in the crow. He got up from his chair and began the walk to the gym behind the others. It was encouraged that the teachers and students get to know each other this first day, not to mention all the other little prep work they were expected to do.

Making his way past the students who were getting to their feet, he wasn't surprised to see the dragon getting up and coming towards the teachers. He remembered the entrance exam, and from his intense, angry looking eyes, he watched him, listening to his every word. He smiled, a grin of sharp jagged teeth. He crossed his arms, muscles rippling. "Safe? RARAR. Ain't no safer place then Jigokuraku! If there is anyone causin a ruckus, rest assured we'll get to the 'tooth' of the matter." He opened his mouth for more applause.

Soga even mentioned 'Black Dragon' and this caused the croc to put a hand on Soga's shoulder. There was something... off about his face, a forced smile, but a predatory one as his tail flicked.

"You don't to worry about that yet young man." He said, and then left it at that. "Focus on your studies for now." It was evident that the Croc didn't want to talk about something.

Croc made sure to get a few steps away and put his hands on his hips. "Well well well!" He was looking directly at Kenji, nearly towering over him. "Looks like you crawled out from under your rock after all huh?" he took a moment then laughed heartedly before slamming a claw on the big guy's shoulder. "RARAR! Good to see ya Kenji! I knew you could do it! Your Mom must be so proud! Now you keep working hard! No special treatments here ya dig?" He said with a finger pointing at him.

Uncle Croc was always kind of a weirdo when it came to what the kids were like these days.

Interacting With: @Animal Shiki, @Scribe of Thoth Shun, whoever is around him like Akeno.

Hiroki was plastered to the stage. Despite being called out, the roster of teachers were... pretty damn awesome. Seriously there were some major players and he was damn well shocked that they all even were in the same room. It was kind of star striking, he could give a single backstory to nearly all of them, and that included the Number 1 from Japan. Her announcement changed everything.

There was a shot at this school, a huge one. With the Four Pillars, the licensing exam... this was going to be a hell of a year, and it made Hiroki have to cross his arms and think outloud. "I might need to change strategies..." It was all about winning. Shun broke him out of that state of mind by tugging on him. Hiroki had to push him off with a raised fist.

With the assembly over, he noticed Croc had a talk with Soga, so he would wait his turn, looking towards Guodo. Shun was bouncing like an idiot but Hiroki thought a moment. "Damn right we are." He nearly spat but then he opened his mouth. "Alot of that stuff is team based. Meaning we'd need the best to win. Shun right. Lets team up. See if we can get the best in class for the Pillars. Blow them right out of the water." He flexed with a claw that became a fist.

If we get a teleporter who can hold his own, we might need a. Hiroki noticed Shiki and gave him a little chin up in greeting and respect. "Yo. Shiki right. We're thinking of teaming up now. You look like you got some brains. We could use a strategist, what do you say?" His smile was simply evil, like a used car sales men.

Guodo chuckled before going to the back of the room. Bosses gave their orders. "Right this way!"

He led the group into a pretty pristine looking gym. It was essentially the size of four basketball courts. Though new, it was disappointing- until.

Guodo Sensei went to a set of bleachers that overlooked the court, there was a piece of thick plexi glass between the seats and the courts with some kind of weird control panel infront of the bleachers. He actually was talking through the speakers as he pushed some buttons.

At the four corners of the room, the floor itself seemed to open up... like literally it slid away and another platform took its place from underneath. On the platform was a dummy, just like before but this one was seated on a metal post and seemed much more solid then the things of cloth and straw out in the field. Around them was a 20 meter ring of what looked like concrete.

Guodo Sensei's voice came through the speaker. "As you can see, we had to work with the room we got, so our gym also seconds as our training room for now. If you ever read any comics, its literally a giant danger room for the basic hero'ing needs." In the corners, suddenly the floor rose up as gray pillars completely obscuring the dummies behind a wall. Then the walls descended back down. Next came what looked like bulky guns from platforms in the ceiling, they were set on moving robotic arms and had laser sights. They shot the floor around the dummies with what looked like paintballs. When the guns receded, what looked like glass walls came up, which immediately after began to fill with geysers of water, looking as if the dummies were put inside an aquarium. Then the water flushed out of the containers and the glass walls went down. Finally, all but one dummy retreated back into is underground compartment, leaving only one with its concrete circle. "As you can see, we can set up all different kinds of situations. Whether your quirk is combat based, meant for rescue, support, stealth, mobility, or healing, I'll set up a scenario for each of you to show your stuff. Just make sure you introduce yourself first and what your quirk is. I'm sure your class is eager to get to know who you are and what you're capable of. Strike the dummy, touch it versus obstacles, rescue it, drag it from the circle, get hit by it. I can pretty much develop any situation you can imagine." He beamed. "Are there any questions? Any volunteers to go first?"

"Welp, guess Uranishi-kun owes me ¥5000," Tanifuji shrugged her shoulders as she said this. Uranishi Yataro, the teacher who was unable to make it to the assembly and had to call in late, had bet Tanifuji that she would be the one to let slip the prospect that Jigokuraku was to partake in the Four Pillars Project before that information was supposed to be unveiled. However it turned out that the late arrival, Tokisaki Miraime, had blown that idea out of the water right from the gate.

As the assembly drew to a close, one of the students had approached the teachers and asked whether the school would be safe from a specific villain who went by the name of Black Dragon. Of course, Itagaki Naomoro was the first to address him.

"Safe? RARAR. Ain't no safer place then Jigokuraku! If there is anyone causin' a ruckus, rest assured we'll get to the 'tooth' of the matter."

"Oh god, give those bad puns a rest, will you Itagaki-kun?" Tanifuji asked in a whiny tone, "They're not even all that funny..."

However, Itagaki fell silent upon hearing the name of Black Dragon itself, as though it had struck a chord with him. He dismissed the student, telling him to just focus on his studies, but then Tanifuji got to thinking as well.

'I wonder if Uranishi knows anything,' in any case, she turned to face the curious student, "Don't you worry about a thing. We'll keep you safe no matter who tries to attack the school!"

Kiko Mazzini-Ishikawa

Interacting with; Yasu @Naw, Guodo @ShwiggityShwah, basically everyone in the Gym

When the assembly finally began, Kiko was greeted by a familiar face. That was the one she had fought so bitterly with during the exam! Her only regret was she didn't actually win against her, but she couldn't be expected to win against a staff member during the entrance exam, right? Victory over the staff would have to wait until she was the best damn Hero in the world. After she ended her introductory speech, the next face was almost as familiar. The croc guy was the one that had been fighting a whole bunch of people at once, at least one of which had been standing there while she opened fire on the crocodile. Kiko both somewhat regretted shooting at the bug dude, and felt chuffed at having likely put the fear of god into him, as was surely the case after enduring one of her barrages. Crooked Croc seemed like he would make a fun Sensei though. Kiko always preferred them more bombastic.

There wasn't much to say about this Sakkaku woman. Short and sweet had a certain appeal, Kiko guessed, but it sure made it hard to get a bearing on her. Guodo made much more of an impression. Kiko recognised those pearly whites from when that windbag kid was making a scene earlier. He seemed pretty nice, at the very least. She wasn't sure why they were going to be going over history, but it didn't matter much to her. Tanifuji was another face from the courtyard incident. Though it might have been compounded by her microphone, Kiko still reckoned she had as much of a set of lungs as the very windbag she'd had a part in stopping. She seemed like she would make a fun teacher at least. Combat was definitely one of Kiko's key interests as a Hero, though she preferred to shoot things rather than punch them.

The teacher from the beginning came back to make their own introduction. At least it gave Kiko a name to put to a face; Fujino Ukimi. By her own admission, however, it sounded like she was going to be the boring one. Even besides her teaching role, she went on to talk about all the technical stuff, like uniforms. Kiko often dreamed of her daddy's tales of a schools where there were no uniforms and everything was more free-form. It felt like stuffy teachers like Fujino were always breathing down her neck at school. It seemed like it would be the end of it with Fujino, but then the principal of all people showed up late to the party! Kiko wondered if she could get away with using the principal's example if she ever ended up late to anything. Kiko wasn't expecting much from her arrival, but boy was she wrong! She told them they were part of the "Four Pillars", that they were going to compete in some elite tournament, and were going to get to do their provisional license exam at the end of the year. Everything was looking up. Kiko had thought she'd been sent to a dumpy place, but apparently they were good enough to compete with the best of Japan. Kiko always knew she had it in her.

With the assembly finally over, Kiko went along with the others to the gym, eager to get started. She chose to remain close to Yasu as she went, if only because she had started this day alongside her. Once in the gym, they were presented with an elaborate set up to facilitate their demonstrations. As far as Kiko was concerned, this school was just getting better and better. When Guodo was done explaining, he called for a volunteer. "Me first! Me first!" Kiko called out. She turned to Yasu before leaving and told her, "Cheer for me, 'kay?" Before long, she had herself out in full view of everyone else. "Buongiorno, everybody!" She called out while giving her audience a hearty wave. "The name's Kiko Mazzini, and I call my Quirk "Bullet Hell"! Let me show you why. Gimme just one dummy, Sensei!"

When provided with the solitary dummy she had requested, Kiko stood with her arms stretched out towards it, her palms held open. With a loud yell, she unleashed a hail of projectiles on the hapless dummy. Every projectile exited her arms with a distinctive "thwip", and by god were there a lot of projectiles. Each one left a miniature crater where it impacted on the confines of the gym. Eventually, Kiko's barrage came to an end, and the ground was littered with countless bullets. Kiko turned to the crowd and gave told them "Ciao.", before leaving to take a seat. She left looking pleased with herself, but the discerning eye might notice that of all the bullets she had fired today, only three had left their mark upon the dummy.

Haruishi Mari

Quirk: Born to Run (Thunder Road)

@Jojo @Zelosse @liferusher @AdmrlStalfos19 @Scribe of Thoth @Etranger

Mari nodded in response to Kenji's greeting, only to see a familiar face sitting on the opposite side of the large boy. "Ah! Kaito-san, I'm glad to see you here as well. After I left the central area with the dummy during the exam, I had intended to return, but...things came up." She remembered how he not only gave her a boost using his quirk, which helped her move a car pinning down a rescue dummy, but he also helped her bandage her foot and gave her his shoe since she tore hers up and injured herself from the poorly placed kick to the car. For these reasons, Mari had told the proctor, Sakkaku-sensei, that the points for the dummy that she was bringing back should go to Haruto. However, having failed to secure any more dummies herself, and having failed to take down Goudo-sensei, who was hijacking the bus of dummies, Mari partially regretted giving away her single point, thinking that she might have failed the exam, though she ultimately decided to hold fast to her decision and to not regret doing what she thought was right. Besides, the whole concept of points ran counter to her view of heroics in the first place. In the end, it seemed, everything worked out. "When things have settled down, I still have to return your shoe. Please remind me if I forget."

A girl with flaming hair approached and struck up a conversation with Kenji. Mari surmised that they must have met at the other exam. When Elina apologized for the warmth she cast, Mari decided to reassure her, "Don't worry about it. If everyone knew how to control their quirks, we wouldn't need hero schools, would we?"

With that, the lights of the room started to dim, so Mari stopped talking, sat up straight, and directed her attention forwards. Mari listened intently, though Fujino-sensei's statement about the damaged bus made Mari blush and turn her face away slightly, glad that the room was dark, save for the stage. Mari was a bit taken aback when Fujino-sensei referred to Tanifuji as '-senpai', knowing from context that this was what the students were supposed to call her. Mari remembered that Umi had also referred to Tanifuji as '-senpai', which Mari thought was disrespectful. Though Umi had been timid, which Mari interpreted as unmotivated, this revelation made her reconsider her initial assessment of Umi, since she had been attentive enough to pick up on this teacher's particular idiosyncrasy before anyone else.

As Itagaki-sensei came on stage, she recognized him as the 'villain' that Azukina and Hiroki managed to take down. When he singled out Hiroki, Mari quietly breathed a sigh of relief. She knew that some teachers, heck, some schools, often let high-performing students get away with pretty much anything, and was glad to see that this wasn't the case here. But his math pun really got a snort out of Mari, which was surprisingly loud, though she looked around, hoping that no one heard her and that she didn't disrespectfully interrupt the assembly. A few other chuckles from among the audience assured her that she wasn't alone in her appreciation of the lowest form of humor.

Sakkaku-sensei's announcement was...underwhelming. Mari felt the small teacher didn't give enough of an explanation of her role. Her short speech, and the behavior she exhibited as proctor during the exam, made Mari feel that Sakkaku-sensei wasn't very enthusiastic or motivated. Mari made a mental note that Sakkaku might be a problematic teacher to deal with.

Mari perked up at Goudo-sensei's announcement that they would decide on a student representative at some point. As a model student and a by-the-books individual, Mari had held the position several times in her previous schools. It was a thankless job, but somebody has to do it, and Mari trusted herself to do it, and do it right. She didn't like the fact that Goudo-sensei was trying to goad the other students to apply. It was a tedious position and there was no glory in it, and they should just let someone (like herself) with experience and meticulous bookkeeping skills handle it, lest the class devolve into chaos.

Tanifuji-senpai's declaration as their combat coach made Mari balk. There's plenty of dangerous situations for heroes to get involved in besides combat, so this focus on combat, while typical, seemed disappointing. Sure, Itagaki-sensei was their quirk development instructor, but it almost seemed that when it came to 'field training', Tanifuji-senpai was their instructor. But they didn't have a 'rescue coach', or anything like that to balance it out.

Maybe Fujino-sensei balanced it out, since she did mention proper 'bedside manners' with respect to rescue operations, though it didn't cover the physical aspect of it. Maybe Itagaki-sensei would fill that role. But the fact that a teacher was dedicated to combat still rubbed Mari the wrong way.

And finally, the unorthodox arrival of the principal, as well as the Four Pillars announcement, left a sour taste in Mari's mouth. She didn't like the fact that heroes and aspiring heroes focused on competition. Public works was a cooperative venture; the glitz and glamour that heroes sought ran counter to the purported goal. Mari felt that the competitive spirit stained the heroing business. But she had no doubt that many of her classmates were thrilled at the announcement.

Mari also considered the principal's claim to fame. Unfortunately, being a hero was not something Mari had aspired to from a young age. She wanted to be a competitive athlete like the person she looked up to the most, so she wasn't the most knowledgeable about famous past heroes. But times change and dreams shatter, and her overwhelming desire to find her place in the world through service to others has led her here.

With the assembly coming to a close, Mari got up, eager to head to the next segment. Though she wasn't so enthused about the Four Pillars thing, the fact that some among them chatted excitedly about it did do a bit to soften her criticism of it. Many of these students were probably snubbed by the more famous schools, so maybe it was vindicating if they felt like they were still worthy of competing against those schools. Following the train of students that inevitably formed behind Goudo-sensei, Mari arrived at the gym and was impressed when she witnessed the transformation that took place with the layout. Watching Kiko's devastating, and rather villainous attack on the dummy, Mari thought about how she would demonstrate her quirk. She'd rather just run around the track to show what her normal top speed was, and her overdrive top speed and lightning that came from it, rather than actually use it for something. She supposed combat might demonstrate the lightning better, but she was adamant about performing a rescue demonstration. As she considered her options, she didn't step up to the plate yet.

The Exam Proctor stood after the end of the assembly without a word, dusting her simple violet dress down. The teachers seemed almost as excitable as the students, though then again, she had already caught onto that. After all, she was the one who went through the process of selecting them. They were the ones who decided on the students.
Mostly.
"Unfortunately I will be busy for the remainder of the day, otherwise I would come and see what the students can do first hand. Then again, I've already seen plenty of what they can do."

Perhaps it was a bit harsh to be judging them already, but as they were, Jigokuraku's 1-A would be the punching bag of the Four Pillars. Going by what she had told the two groups of examinees at the beginning of their entrance exams, and purely by that method of measurement, very few students of the hero course would even be here. It was a shame, really, seeing as so many applied to other, greater schools. Was it due to the test being too hard? Or perhaps they were lacking in some way? Whatever it was, it was Sukkaku's job to figure it out, eliminate it, and turn these students into future heroes. How she would go about that was a different question entirely.

Sukkaku was about to leave when one of the students approached the teachers, probing questions that he probably shouldn't be asking. It not only stopped her in her tracks but made the Director turn to face him, taking in his appearance with a watchful eye. "You know," she began after Itagaki had finished, "I believe I have seen a certain 'Black Dragon' around Jigokuraku. He's right there."
She pointed right at him, eyes alight with suspicion.
"I truly hope said black dragon doesn't end up becoming a villain after hearing a mere rumour. As Itagaki-sensei said: focus on your studies for now, Yutsuko-san."

The Proctor left it at that, disappearing backstage, off to find herself a phone.

Meanwhile, Fujino was subject to Itagaki's bragging, much to her vexation. So what if they liked his jokes? He was still going to be loud and annoying, and the students would dislike him as a result. If she acted the part of a professional and didn't act like a complete idiot, then maybe her students would actually like her. Fujino knew just the kind of teacher she was going to be, and she was going to make it very hard for her students to not be enthused by her presence!

Following everyone to the gym, Fujino added onto Tanifuji's complaints. "If you want to make good puns, start dividing some strategies, you'll find your skill multiplies by the number."
One should never underestimate the puns of someone who did a degree in English teaching.
Unfortunately she couldn't stay, as she would be the one to look after the support class for now. Though she had very limited knowledge on engineering and all that stuff, she at least understood working with big technology, and that was better than any of the other teachers. With a quick wave and a simple goodbye, she turned back to lead the support class elsewhere...

Quirk: Black-And-White

The assembly was certainly a whirlwind of surprises, from the teachers to the Four Pillars announcement. She noted all the different teachers, having seen them after the exam ended abruptly, and took particular note of Itagaki. She felt guilty for saying what she did back at the exams, even if it was in the heat of the moment. It was entirely unprofessional for a future hero, and had been on her mind since. Following that, the school uniform announcement filled Azuki with a sense of pride, knowing she was the only person currently wearing it. She opted for the red design over the white, favouring the bold colouration. But the real announcement was yet to come. Azukina hadn't been exposed to Oracle Thought, admittedly, but the woman seemed nice and much less formal than her previous principal, something the girl greatly appreciated. But when it was revealed that they were to be part of the Four Pillars, her excitement wasn't just visible, but could be felt in the air itself! Just as she had in the entrance exam, her emotions lead her left arm to accidentally creating a minor wind, probably making more than a few students uncomfortable. Not that she was aware...

With the assembly over, her first order of business was to apologise to Itagaki, however that was... unlikely to happen. He seemed plenty busy speaking with two other students whom she had seen outside but didn't know, and could only assume they were part of the other examination group. It wasn't urgent, but she at least wanted the opportunity to speak with her teacher privately. Perhaps later in the day.
With that option shot, her attention turned towards the other students to follow, who were being directed towards the gym. The size of said gym was absolutely enormous! It was actually rather impressive, and as she listened to Goudo's explanation, it made her looked forward to PE and Heroics in there. Considering she felt more comfortable physically than mentally, knowing this place could simulate environments was a very good thing.

At the offer to go first, Azukina was about to step up, however was beaten to the punch by an eccentric girl of tan skin. One that didn't have thighs the size of her head, at that! The thought made her quickly realise her place, and those nearby would note her anxiously looking around at the crowd of students. For awhile now, Checkers had been holding out for Umeru Kuki to make an appearance, but it looked as though she didn't make it. The lack of assurance that the only person who had come to terms with her as a person, in spite of how their thoughts may have differed, was pretty heartbreaking. The only person present she had really spoken to on at least even footing was Hiroki, who had already accrued plenty of attention himself. If she wanted to find a friend that felt comfortable enough to call her an equal, she would have to go out of her way to prove herself.
And that's exactly what she was about to do.
As soon as Kiko began to walk away, Yomodachi stepped up to fill her place, offering a brief "Nice quirk," on her way through. There were a few careful moments of deliberation before she looked up at Goudo - her demonstration would be simple, really.

"Goudo-sensei, could you create a bunch of dummies by the opposite wall over there? And maybe put up a backboard if possible so I don't damage the gym."
Thankfully her request was easy enough to accommodate, with a large quantity of dummies on the opposite end of the gym from her. Standing straight, Cookies-n'-Cream got into position, side-on to the dummies, as opposed to directly facing them. "My name is Azukina Yomodachi, and I aim to be the future Symbol of Peace! My quirk, Flash Freeze, was inherited from my father, Frostbite! While I don't believe I have what it takes to be a great hero yet, I will show you all just what I can do today!"

Anyone savvy with heroes from the Symbol of Peace Era would know Frostbite, a consistent top 10 hero, even with All-Might around. He was an absolute menace towards the big villains of the time, freezing everything his cold wind touched, and dealt with rampant fires with ease. However, after a string of lawsuits following the new regulations upon heroes, he was one of the first to experience the boot. His quirk caused a lot of damage, which was problematic for the new image of heroism arising post-Peace era. He has disappeared from the public eye ever since.

Without further notice, an intensely bright, white light shone from Azukina's palm, and from that emitted a blizzard of ice and snow. The effects were immediate, blurring the dummies behind the cold wind, making it hard to see anything. As the wind hit the back wall and began to circle back around, the temperature would drop considerably. She kept up her wind for a little over thirty seconds before finally putting her arm to rest, flicking off the ice and frost that had accumulated up her forearm. A dense mist of sorts hid the dummies from view for a few seconds more, yet as it slowly cleared, it wasn't hard to see what her quirk could do.
With a smile on her face, she returned her attention to the class, raising her arm to make a small fist pump. "As you can see, I can generate a wind which freezes even the moisture in the air, provided enough continuous exposure is applied. It works in a cone-like shape, as you can see here."

Azukina points to the ground, which showcases directly just how her quirk is emitted. Closest to her there is barely any frost, coming to a point two meters in front of her, yet down by the dummies, the entire floor is covered in ice! As are the dummies themselves! "I'm not immune to my own quirk, and suffer greatly against those who can get in close and avoid my quirk. That said, I won't make it easy for anyone who wishes to get that close, either!" Checkers points to the frost on her left arm, which had crept up a quarter of her forearm from those thirty seconds alone. Despite the cold, the monochrome girl is completely unfazed, and instead offers a sincere and respectful bow. "I apologise for the cold. It won't be the last time it happens, however I hope we can get along as students."

With her turn up, the 50-50 quirk user decided to join Kiko in taking a seat, taking the time to lose herself in thought before the next student stepped up...

Well, Souta wasn't nervous anymore.

Now he was mortified.

The quirks that had just been demonstrated completely and utterly blew his own out of the water, one had guns in her arms, which was both incredibly cool and infuriating, and the other had an incredibly powerful ice quirk that was probably the strongest he'd ever seen. He stared open mouthed and wide-eyed in indignant shock. As the girl offered a bow to the rest of the students, Souta felt his teeth grind together. He would just have to live with being overlooked for now.

He decided that it might as well be best to do it now, get it over with, and get back in line. As the ice-thrower moved back from her demonstration, Souta stepped forwards.

"Impressive quirks, both of you, especially you, uh... ice girl. I'd like to take my turn now," he said, sighing in the middle. "Three dummies please," he asked, striding forwards in a slow, dawdling manner.

"My name..." Souta began speaking as he opened one of his bags and set it on the ground. "...is Tachibana Souta, I'm from Tokushima Prefecture, and I am fourteen years old."

Souta approached the first dummy, standing beside it and placing a hand on its head. "My quirk, Rotation, allows me to add rotational velocity to any object I touch." On cue, the dummy began to spin at an intense speed. "This can be both horizontal..." The dummy collapsed. "...and vertical rotation."

He made his way to the next dummy.

"I can also add rotational velocity to myself," he said, suddenly spinning in place and striking the dummy in the head with his left elbow, knocking it over and leaving a sizable dent.

"And, to demonstrate a combination of both, Goudo-sensei do you mind putting a glass panel around a foot in front of the dummy?" he asked, moving back to his pack and pulling out a ball, which he tossed in his hand as he walked back to the now present glass barrier.

He palmed the ball in his hand as he held his arms out, roughly measuring the distances he'd need to know. He looked at the ball in his left hand, he was right handed, but he was told not to put too much stress on that arm, so he'd be throwing as a lefty just for this demonstration. He could compensate, hopefully.

He stood sideways, both hands on the ball, pulling the ball up to head level, he kicked up his leg, and with a deep breath, stepped forwards and pushed his entire body into the throw. His hand began to move above his head, rotating towards his body, down, and forward. The motion made use of the elbow joint in much the same way that a trebuchet would use the beam to rotate the sling. As he reached the point of most speed, he released, his fingers adding the necessary spin. As his body fell forwards, the ball appeared to be going wide and high, missing the glass barrier completely.

Just as it cleared the glass, the ball suddenly shot left and down, moving behind the glass pane and striking the dummy in the head.

Souta stood back up and looked at the rest of the class with an unchanging scowl.

"That's everything, thank you." He bowed, and swiftly moved to sit down alone, attempting to avoid being near any of the other students.

Hopefully that was impressive enough.

As far as Yasu was concerned, the assembly was a complete mess. It started normally enough, but all the teachers seemed like a bunch of wackos that had been haphazardly slapped together in a barely coherent 'team'. The first one even called out turbine dipshit in the middle of his speech. Not that Yasu cared about plane boy, but it seemed like the most unprofessional thing to do. She had to wonder she wouldn't eventually be the one being called out in assemblies. Some of the others weren't half as controversial, but that was what made them all seem so weird. Usually schools had a solid theme. Nosaka High had a snobbish theme. She didn't like it at all, but it gave you a clear picture of who you were dealing with. None of these people seemed alike. Some seemed uptight, others seemed laid back, and others seemed almost insane. She wondered how the hell staff meetings went with such a weird and clashing group of personalities.

The worst one of all had to be the principal. She was late to her own damn assembly. Not only that, but apparently she was the ex-hero Oracle Thought. Yasu had never been big on professional heroes, so she didn't know any of the other supposedly big names, but she had heard about this one once from her parents. Her mother had been a big fan of hers back in the day, and had regaled her with stories of the hero that could see everything coming. Apparently she couldn't even foresee herself being late. The biggest shocker was she told them something they apparently weren't supposed to know. Yasu didn't much care for rules, but she did think that principles were supposed to. This was like the Prime Minister deciding to tell people confidential information over the t.v. for kicks. Even worse, the information was that they were part of some kind of competition with "the best in all of Japan". They were putting this rag tag group of misfits and morons up against Japan's finest. Yasu started to wonder if she was on one of those sadistic gameshows. 'Come watch the worst class in the country get smashed by the best, this sunday at 7PM!'

At least this was all mercifully cut short by them getting ushered out to the gym so they could get down to business. Their setup in the gym looked rather impressive, if nothing else. It was a damn sight more professional than some of their staff for sure. Rather than setting out a clear turn order, they simply left it up to the students to randomly volunteer to show off their quirks. It sounded like a recipe for chaos to Yasu. Lo and behold, Kiko was the first to put herself out there. A red flag was raised for Yasu when she asked her to cheer her on. "Sure..." She muttered as the flighty girl departed for center stage. There was no way in hell she was actually cheering for anybody right now. At first, Yasu thought she had a pretty impressive quirk. It was flashy, if chaotic. It had a certain intimidation factor. That was until Yasu noticed she had only made her mark three times. She looked so proud of herself for a girl that only hit thrice out of however many she had fired. 'She's retarded, isn't she? She's retarded and she's the person I'm most likely to be stuck with' Yasu ruminated on her misfortune. She tried her best not to show what she was thinking on her face, and avoided eye contact with Kiko as her performance ended.

The next two to go were more normal to say the least. As 'normal' as a brilliant flash of ice and making things spin could be. They didn't seem far too proud of their displays like a certain other person Yasu could mention. Either way, their displays were over, and now their was a lull in volunteers. With the others either preparing themselves or waiting patiently, Yasu realised she would have to make her own show sooner or later. Taking a deep breath, she made her way out onto the court herself.

"Yeah, hi, I'm Hayakawa Yasu." She addressed the audience at large nonchalantly. "Can I get one dummy here too?" She called out to the teacher. "They called my quirk 'Live Wire'." 'They' in this case referred to the people back at the orphanage. She hadn't come up with the name herself. She doubted the crowd wanted to hear her life story, so she was going to leave it at that. She slapped her hands together and then brought them apart. Between her hands now sat a crackling thread of electrical energy. "I'll give you a hint. It's because it's based on electricity. I bet you'd never have guessed, huh?"

Wasting little time, she took her thread and shunted it into the dummy she had been provided with. It reacted with a shudder to the obvious electric shock. "That's the obvious way of using my quirk. I know, so impressive, so stunning..." The sarcasm was positively dripping from her words. "Mind lowering a turret so I can grab it?" She called out again. When she got what she wanted, she then anchored her thread between the ground and the turret. "I need it to move to the wire." Once the dummy was in motion, she cleared her throat and began a short spiel. "This here is Takeshi the villain." She gestured to the dummy. "He's out for a little stroll, when he rounds the corner, and suddenly..." As she paused, the dummy passed through the wire and received the appropriate shock. "Oh no. Takeshi blundered into a carefully placed electrical trap. What an unfortunate disaster it would be if a hero pounced on him now and brought him to justice."

"Anyway, that's it for my little show. I'll just...sit down now." She then took her seat like anyone else. Whether someone got a chuckle out of her, or if they all thought she was obnoxious, it didn't matter much to her.

Haruka Fujimori

Mention/Interactions: @AdmrlStalfos19

The lack of response didn't deter Haruka in any way from taking a seat close to the heterochromic girl, her gaze lingering on their figure for a small while as she made sure to have an empty chair between them to avoid discomforting them. This was the first day, so she had to give her best impression if she sought to be a role model to her fellow students. After a couple of seconds of silence but before she could attempt to draw some idle chatter from the girl, the distant click brought her attention to the stage the light was pointing towards. It'd seem like she'd have to introduce herself to the girl later.

The mention of the school bus and the dorms made Haruka think a bit about phoning her father later to bring her some stuff she had left at home. One of those would definitely not be Guodo's poster: she had an image to maintain after all and, whilst she'd gush out the bare minimum about her handsome professor should the topic arise with other girls, Haruka would do her utmost best to avoid letting him affect her school performance in anyway. As such, she snapped her attention away from him and back to the speech, just in time to hear Fujino-sensei end her part of the speech.

The dramatic entrance of Itagaki-sensei made her jump a bit, but his energetic introduction brought her a smile to her face. It'd be good to have a professor as lively as him. Sakkaku-sensei's speech was rather stark in comparison, and left her wondering how she should approach her in the future. Then Guodo-sensei came and he spoke of him teaching history, whilst also being homeroom teach. What a blessing that was, but that was relatively small to the news he was about to give: Tomorrow there will be class representative elections. Haruka couldn't contain her smile; this situation was just perfect for her. If she put on a good show today for her classmates, she'd show how reliable was and get in the position best fit for her. No one was as best qualified to be a leader such as herself, or at least that's what she thought.

Tanifuji-senpai, as it seemed that she wanted to be called, made sure to leave a lasting impression on her eardrums. Overtly friendly and cheerful, Haruka figured she'd have a bit more of issues keeping up with her than with the others. Guodo-sensei was cheerful but he hadn't as much energy as she did, so if the plant-woman wanted to be a model student and gain the teacher's approval she'd have to try and make the effort. Fujino-sensei followed, someone who Haruka felt she'd be more comfortable with if she was to be honest. Professional and to the point, the young girl felt that she'd end up getting along well with her.

With what Fujino-sensei said after the introductions gave Haruka an excuse to go speak with her; the mention of the uniforms having already been delivered led to the plantwoman gazing down to her body. It was spring, after all, so it'd be better to be safe than sure. Mom always said that she was a bit of a drain in clothes during that period of time. However, her musings were brought to an abrupt halt with the entrance of their principal: Tokisaki Miraime. She was vaguely aware of the name, having heard her family mention her every now and then in passing comments. However, what caught her attention were those words: Jigokuraku's Hero Class 1-A would be recognized members of the Four Pillars Project.

The smile that Haruka sported at that was prideful and confident, whilst also holding some contempt towards something. She'd make it. Despite not having passed that one exam, she'd make it to the top like those people who dared reject her. She'd show them precisely what they were missing. Perfect.

The rest of the news weren't as important as that reveal for Haruka; her classmates would remember those for her and refresh her memory once the time comes. However, the future was then and she was living the present: there were steps that needed to be taken if she was to become an important figure. With that, she waved to Umi as she stood up and skipped her way to the teachers, stopping just right before Itagaki-sensei spoke some words to a draconic kid. Before she could exchange words with any of them, however, Guodo-sensei told everyone to follow them to the gym and he began the explanations. The situation led her to be walking right next to the draconic student, although anyone by them would recognize her as the source of the floral scent slowly spreading amidst the group.

Haruka Fujimori
and
Yutsuko Soga

Soga showed relief on his face as he heard most of the teachers reassure him that he was in fact safe. This got a smile from Soga, though it wasn't from the relief he felt of the teachers reassurances, no, he was smiling, because he had finally been able to pinpoint the person who knew about his father the most. The two teachers to show any serious reactions were Itagaki-sensei and Sakkaku-sensei. Croc was to be expected for his reaction, after all, he and his father were enemies, but the proctor's veiled hostility took him by complete surprise. That alone meant that not only had she been able to make the connection between Soga and his father, but that she was also privy to some information about him, which meant that once he would gain her trust, he would be able to press her for more information.

With that, he bowed before the teachers and hurriedly followed Goudo-sensei, only to feel a faint floral scent approaching him. Upon turning he saw Haruka walking right next him, something which admittedly did surprise him quite a bit, considering he expected the plant girl not to associate with him, especially considering his look. Still, he put on his best smile and the most polite tone he could muster and engaged her in conversation.

"Ah, hello, my name is Yutsuko Soga." he said with slight bow of his head. "Might I ask for yours?"

A voice coming from Haruka's side brought her attention, and she turned her gaze to meet that of the dragon. He stood almost a feet above her, yet the polite tone and respectful wording led to a smile from the girl, who met the bow with one of her own. "Haruka Fujimori. It'll be my pleasure to be your classmate from now on, Soga-kun" replied the leaf-haired girl as both of them walked behind Guodo-sensei

It was as Soga had suspected, Haruka was a very proper girl, which meant that he had to act equally proper in order to be able to impress her. As such, he straightened himself out and continued speaking to her in his polite tone.

"Likewise, Haruka-san, it's my pleasure to meet you, though I am a tad surprised that you approached me, after all, if my former classmates are to be believed, I am perhaps a bit too intimidating for my own good."

"If we are to follow that same of logic, I shouldn't be approached at all as one shouldn't expect a plant to be able to speak. If you are here in Heroics with me then it means we are equals, and as such I shouldn't have any quals in approaching you." spoke Haruka, keeping her gaze forward to listen to their teacher as they spoke. The explanations of this test were quite interesting, although she had to admit that this seemed rigged in favor of those with more straight-forward and impactful quirks. Simpler ones like her own would have more difficulty showing their capabilities and, if she was to guess, that'd also be the case with Soga. She wondered if he saw that as well, a sentiment shown by a gaze thrown his direction.

Soga knew it perfectly, as he returned the gaze to her with a slight nod. His quirk, other than turning him into a large bipedal lizard, did not do much else other than the wings on his back and some resistance to physical damage, added to the fact that Soga was not a very accomplished fighter like he guessed some of the students here actually were, judging from looks alone.

"If I am to be honest with you, Haruka-san, I'm not even sure what I am going to pick between a mobility test and a combat test as I am not the fastest or the strongest person, considering I prefer pursuits of the mind rather than of the body. Soga shook his head as he actually was truly actually trying to decide which of the two would be good for him. "Ah, right, but what are you going to pick, Haruka-san?" He said, trying to see if there was more to her quirk than simply being a plant person. "And I absolutely apologize for assuming this, but you do not seem built for combat or mobility."

While this discussion was going on, Kiko had already stepped up first to the plate asking only for one dummy and then proceeding to shoot a hail of projectiles at them from the palm of her hands. Each projectile left a mini-crater upon impact, which should have been impressive if of the around hundred or so bullets she had shot all hit the dummy. Instead, only a few bullets had actually hit the dummy, though even those seemed to have done quite a bit of damage. Soga guessed that with her aim, her quirk would be better for a larger number of targets rather than a singular one as there would be no need to aim and she would take out multiple enemies at once.

"That is quite the quirk." he said as the short girl took a seat, seemingly pleased with herself and saw Azukina herself going up next, something which intrigued him, he wanted to see what she could be capable.

"My capabilities aren't precisely the most flashy ones, yet I assure you they are more useful than they appear. The sky's the limit, as they say" explained Haruka, forming her own conclusions about Kiko's display. Her quirk seemed more fit for supressing hostile enemies, yet she failed to see much more use other than that as it harmed foes and allies alike. It'd be quite dangerous to team up with her if those bullets caused such a large amount of collateral damage.

Following after came the girl that had opened up their doors before the assembly, a girl with black and white hair who introduced herself as Azukina Yomodachi then proceeded to claim she was going to be the next symbol of peace, bold words that ended up bringing an amused smile to Haruka's face. This girl also said that she was Frostbite's daughter, a claim that seemed very much plausible the moment she displayed the quirk. It was a testament to its raw power that she could feel the wind from her position, ruffling her mane of leaves a little bit.

"It'd seem that the stakes have been raised a fair bit, Soga-kun." commented Haruka as she glanced towards the draconic boy, a hand being raised to fix some of her hair. "What do you say? Do we try and showcase something different?" She didn't bother asking for his cooperation: if the rest were going to have abilities as impressive as the last two, then they needed to compensate in other way. They needed to demonstrate they were reliable.

"What do you have mind, Haruka-san?" The dragon student asked genuinely curious about the plant girl's proposal. For now he had thought of two things, either the strength that came with his body against a single dummy, or a obstacle course to prove his mobility.

"How much are you capable of carrying? I was thinking of simulating a rescue operation. Let me show you." Haruka began to roll up one of her sleeves up to her elbow, revealing her thin, green arm.

"Well, my absolute limits, whilst still allowing me to fly at a decent speed would be around 175 lbs, though I could maybe push myself a bit above that." He said, still making mental calculations in his head, though he did still pay attention to her whilst he did so, if she could help him do something more impressive, then all the better for him and for her.

"That will do, a dummy can't weigh that much." said the plant girl as she nodded. Then, with her eyes on Soga's features, she tilted her head towards her arm as it began to unravel into five thin vines, her hand splitting up as she allowed them to extend a minimal distance upwards to show she can stretch them "Want to do a drive-by pick up, Soga-kun?"

"I would most likely not be against it, though I was thinking of adding a few obstacles around the way to show my general mobility as well, if it good with you." He asked, unfurling his wings to reach their impressive, nearly 14 foot long wingspan.

"That's perfectly fine, I'm confident I can protect both myself and the dummy whilst you manouver. You could drop us off midway, or I could simply find a place to get off your back so you can impress the crowd better." came forth her answer, turning her eyes towards the wings as her hand returned to normal. By this point, with this small conversation, Souta's presentation had already started and ended, Haruka having barely paid attention to it. "Think of a set up that best benefits your display, you're the star of this one show after all."

Soga smiled at her comment. "We'll both be the stars, Haruka san, we stand out much more than the regular heroes." He said to her, having now turned towards the stage itself where another student, quite briefly and somewhat comedically showed her quirk, an electrified wire quirk, an odd quirk and a bit situational, but he could still see its uses, nevertheless, he raised his hand as soon as Yasu had done showing off her quirk."

"Goudo-sensei, me and Haruka-san would like to try out." He called to the teacher as he walked forwards in front of all of the students, making sure that Haruka had been following him first. "Greetings fellow students, my name Yutsuko Soga and my quirk must obvious to all who are looking at me, currently, however, there is a bit more to it, due to these scales, I am resistant to both physical damage and fire." He said, now pointing his hand towards his still unfurled wings. "However, currently, the most useful part of my quirk is the fact that it allows me to fly at quite high speeds, thanks to my wings."

With that, he turned his look towards his partner, Haruka and awaited for her to present herself and her quirk as well.

The plantwoman had taken the chance of Soga introducing himself to roll up the sleeves of her sweater up to her shoulders, in preparation of what they had planned to do together. Once he gave her the segue, she curtsied towards the crowd, using the lower part of her attire as a substitute of a skirt. "Haruka Fujimori, fifteen years old. Much like my partner and fellow Heroics student, my quirk's rather evident at a first glance. There are other aspects of it that aren't so visible, though. The flower on my head is something I've grown myself, and my hair is effectively composed of leaves. However..." Both of Haruka's arms began to unravel, her left one into four vines and the other into six. "... I can also turn my arms into vines, all of which I can manipulate freely. Not only that, but they're flexible and can be extended up to twenty-five feet."

"Then, Soga-kun?" she turned back to him to let him continue with his words and positioned herself behind him, raising the appendages on her left side to slowly wrap around his torso whilst also being careful to not obstruct the movement of his wings. It'd be tricky, but challenge would add to the merit.

After checking that Haruka had gotten attached to him properly her turned towards the teacher. "The scene would be that of a rescue, shortly after or during a disaster, natural or otherwise." He said to the teacher. "Please add obstacles that would simulate a small area during a disaster, I would also like to ask you to place the dummy in a danger scenario as well, with a limited time to rescue it."

His request was met and various objects were raised out of the gym floor to simulate what would be rubble, small collapsing structures and the like, with the most important part, the dummy itself being raised on a structure that was shrinking in size in order to simulate a crumbling building. He looked once more at Haruka to check if she was completely ready.

And, effectively, she was. She had made sure to wrap her left vines a couple of times around so that she'd be safely held to him. A little "Hop!" and she jumped up whilst retracting her vines just a bit, at this point more or less pressed against his back. Her right side dangled, tendrils swaying lightly about as Haruka prepared herself mentally for the small window of time. "Whenever you're ready!" She hoped that the proximity wouldn't be too much of an issue to him.

Soga nodded and quickly looked at the terrain he had to work with, the window of time he had to do his job in, his partner and at the dummy. He quickly made mental calculations of how quick he would have to fly, of what maneuvers he had to make in order to make sure that both he Haruka and the dymmy would not hit any of the simulated rubble on their way. So, after a moment of calculation, Soga jumped forwards, quickly beating his wings to give him the height necessary to allow him ascend, causing a fairly significant gust of wind as he did so.

Though the obstacle course seemed difficult, made even more so by the danger of a structure collapsing or some other unpredictable danger, Soga was confident in his flying capabilities, made more so by the fact that this was the only physical part of his quirk that he had ever trained to a significant extent. As such, what may have seemed like a dangerous course for most, seemed like a breeze for the draconic student, effortlessly weaving through the obstacles in his path, making quick changes when a structure collapsed.

Haruka, on the other hand, remained still as she endured the pull from the twists and turns her partner was making. Her hold remained strong and steady, a stark contrast with her hair that now served to mark the trail of the path the draconic man had taken as some leaves were deattached and left in the wake. Behind her, half a dozen of verdant vines waved behind them as she slowly stretched them, aiming to reach a balance where she'd reach her target as fast as she could whilst not hindering Soga's movements. An opportunity came amidst the flight, and the dummy was coming closer and closer. Haruka leaned close to his ear and asked for him to roll towards his right mid-air.

He demonstrated his skill again by gracing her request, allowing her to extend her tendrils towards the dummy and hold it firmly. Careful turning of the simulacrum with her vines let Haruka pull it towards the flying duo without having it hit any debris in the way, quickly bringing it towards her and holding steadfast to it. In less than five seconds since they initiated the pirouette, the dummy was safe from harm. All that was left now was to land.

Thankfully enough, the difficult part had been already done, all he needed to do now was to get back to the starting spot from where the two had started and the designated "safe spot" where they would have to deposit the dummy in order to consider the mission a success. The added weight of both the dummy and Haruka, made it a bit difficult for the dragon student to maneuver properly and at times it seemed like he would actually crash, or hit one of the structures.

Thankfully, the two got back to the finish without much trouble and landed, depositing both Haruka and the dummy she was holding on the spot that they had started from. The moment the hand that had been around his waist was turned back to normal, he gently took it into his own and, as if he was an actor who had just finished his performance, he bowed before the rest of students and the teacher, smiling as brightly as possible.

When the ground was within safe distance, Haruka dropped to her feet and inwardly thanked Soga for the hand, as it stopped her from tumbling a bit to the side due to the wild ride. Her right arm slowly formed as normal and held the dummy by the waist as she, as well, curtsied towards the rest of the students, bringing forth the most charming smile that she could. She was genuinely happy with this: Soga was a good partner and they both managed to show their potential in a different scenario. Things couldn't be better. When they both straightened up, the plant girl let the dummy back in a standing position and offered a small fist bump to Soga. Both of them then made their way to the seats, Haruka rolling her shoulders to try and soothe the dull pain on her joints from the effort. She had to be thankful that they were dummies and not actual humans for this display, or else it would've been infinitely harder.

Soga, being ever observant had noticed this and what had happened to her during his flight during the test to save the dummy, so he looked at her and apologized. "I am sorry, Haruka-san, I must say that I'm not used to flying with passangers that often, I hope you will allow me to make it up towards you sometime." He said with a polite smile present on his face.

Then, he along with Haruka seated themselves right next to none other than Azukina herself. Soga offered a last smile to Haruka as he sat down, before turning towards his backpack and rummaging through it for something before pulling a somewhat large book named "What Makes a Symbol of Peace? An In-Depth Analysis of All-Might's Embodiment of Heroism, and What Makes a Hero in the Eyes of Society." and opened it around midway to seemingly continue reading from where he had left. Haruka, on the other hand, opted to pull a bottle of water from her own bag and drink a good portion of it before pulling out her spray bottle and generously apply it on her face and arms. She was careful enough to avoid spraying on Soga's direction, as to not ruin his reading time.

Quirk demonstrations, great. While Akeno knew that sooner or later there would come a point where everyone was familiar with everyone else’s Quirks, she hadn’t expected that they would be asked to make a public demonstration in front of everyone else before they’d even learned each other’s names. Her Quirk wasn’t the most dynamic or impressive, visually or otherwise, to begin with, meaning if she just went with a basic demonstration of what she could do she’d end up falling far short of the other students.

She needed more time to think of a good way to showcase her abilities before stepping out in front of everyone, so when Goudo-sensei asked for volunteers she was more than happy to let others go first. However, as she watched the other students show off she only became more and more dejected as more and more students outshone anything she could do in return. First there was short, tanned girl who enthusiastically ran forward to demonstrate her Quirk, firing a hail of bullets from her fingers at a dummy in a display that may have lacked accuracy or effectiveness, but was certainly flashy and intimidating. Next up was a girl with two-toned hair who showed off her Quirk by freezing over a bunch of dummies with a cone of ice; an aspiring Symbol of Peace with a former hero father and a Quirk like that? Some people had all the luck.

Next up was a guy with the power to rotate objects, which didn’t sound like much at first but seeing the way he was throwing that dummy around all Akeno could think was how much of a pain it would be to try and fight him hand-to-hand. The girl that followed him put on a basic, if somewhat sarcastic demo of her own Quirk; producing electric trap wires wasn’t as impressive as being a human machine gun or being able to flash freeze people, even if its utility should have been obvious, and Hayakawa Yasu seemed to realise this. She probably had the same thoughts at the start of this as Akeno was having right now; some Quirks just didn’t have the flare that others did.

The next two students went up as a pair which was surprising; had they known each other before today or did they plan this out at short notice? They were both mutant-type Quirks, a dragon and a plant, and they opted to demonstrate their abilities with an impromptu rescue mission, Yutsuko Soga carrying Haruka Fujimori through a simulated disaster zone so that Haruka could pick up the dummy using her vine-like arms. It was impressive if it really was a spur of the moment decision to team up, and showcased not just their Quirks but also their practical skills and teamwork. It really was a step ahead of everything else so far.

It helped her make her decision.

Taking a deep breath, Akeno stood up and walked out onto the floor as the other two returned to the bleachers. She hadn’t thought of anything that could compete with everyone else, after what she’d just seen she didn’t think she could anyway, she just didn’t want to be the last one to volunteer because she’d spent too long trying to think of something, trying too hard not to be the only student who gave a lacklustre demonstration. She couldn’t be afraid to show what she could do, in case people weren’t impressed. She couldn’t be afraid of anything.

Her Quirk wasn’t the best, she knew that. It wasn’t strong or versatile or even all that useful to begin with. Yet she’s managed to make it into Jigokuraku anyway, because her efforts during the exam had been recognised. Maybe the dark-haired guy outside had been right and she was only here because none of the other schools would accept her, but she stood by what she said when she said that this school would become what they made of it; it wasn’t a place for rejects and U.A. drop-outs unless they gave the world a reason to think that. Unless she made people think that.

She stood in front of all of the students, some of whom were paying attention to her while others seemed to have checked out, and bowed to them. “My name is Kudo Akeno. I look forward to having you all as my classmates.” Turning towards the teacher behind the control panel, Akeno reached for the zip on her tracksuit jacket and began to remove it. “Sensei? Do you have any dummies that can record temperature?” The teacher nodded. “Okay. Give me one of those.”

A panel slid open in the middle of the platform and a single dummy was raised into view. Throwing her jacket aside, Akeno then removed her white t-shirt, pulling it over her head to leave her with just a training bra and her tracksuit trousers. She hopped up onto the platform and walked towards the dummy until she was within arm’s reach of it; she then turned towards the rest of the students and began to address them. “My Quirk lets me increase my bodies temperature beyond what a person normally produces, making my skin hot enough to burn anything I come into contact with.” She extended one arm and placed a palm flat against the dummy’s chest and activated her Quirk.

Her skin turned a little bit redder and she began to sweat a little, but otherwise there was no outward sign that she was doing anything at all. However, on the plexiglass barrier between the bleachers and the court a number began to tick upwards as it displayed the temperature the dummy was being subjected to. It rose rapidly into the double digits before slowing as it approached 55 and stopped once it reached 62 degrees Celsius. It occasionally ticked over to 63 before falling back but otherwise seemed steady at this number. Turning her Quirk off and stepped back from the dummy, leaving a small warping in the shape of her hand behind but otherwise not leaving a mark. Akeno turned back to the bleacher again.

“I’ve also been studying Karate for most of my life and I’m pretty confident in my abilities as a martial artist. Sensei, can you have the dummy try and attack me?”

Almost immediately the dummy sprang to life, taking on a basic fighting stance and approaching Akeno. Adopting her own stance, Akeno sized up her ‘opponent’ as it slowly inched towards her. She didn’t have her gloves with her, leaving them in her bag with the rest of her stuff before the assembly, which meant she wouldn’t be able to use many punches this time around; a quick showcase of a few different kicks would be best then. Stepping forward and closing the distance before the dummy could react, Akeno lashed out with a roundhouse kick, her foot travelling in an arc to impact with the side of the dummy. The dummy bent from the force of the kick, folding over as Akeno backed away and waited for it to right itself.

When it had recovered it began to approach her again, moving faster this time, and threw a straight punch at her head. Akeno batted the attack away with the back of her hand and threw a straight punch of her own at the dummy’s chest, her fist making a wonderfully heavy sound as it hit and pushed the dummy back. Using the space this gave her Akeno raised her knee and whipped her lower leg up in a snap kick at the dummy’s jaw, its head recoiling back as the ball of Akeno’s foot met its chin and won. The dummy staggered back a couple steps, giving Akeno even more room and the chance to try out something a little special.

Taking a step forward Akeno tucked her right shoulder down, falling forward as if she was about to perform a roll only to instead launch herself off the ground and bring her extended leg around as she flipped towards the dummy. Her heel crashed against the side of the dummy’s head and sent it slumping to the ground as Akeno successfully landed the wheel kick. Picking herself up off of the ground, breathing a little heavier now from fighting so soon after using her Quirk with no time to cool down, Akeno turned around and walked away from the dummy as it slowly picked itself up again.

“I’ve also been learning wrestling for the past two years. I’m not that good yet but I’m sure what I’ve learned will be useful.”

As the dummy got back to its feet Akeno spun towards it and dashed in its direction, dropping to her knees and sliding past it when she got close as she wrapped an arm around its waist. Coming to a stop behind the dummy, Akeno grabbed the arm around her opponents waist with her other arm and locked them tightly in place. Still on her knees, Akeno lifted the dummy slightly off the ground before leaning back until her shoulders touched the ground, arching her back into a bridge and slamming the captive dummy’s head and shoulders into the platform.

Letting go of the dummy and rolling out from under it, Akeno pushed herself back to her feet and hopped down from the platform. She picked up her jacket and t-shirt from the floor but didn’t put them back on yet so that she could cool down. Before returning to the bleachers she stopped before all of the students again and gave another bow. “Let’s all work together to make the best out of our time here.”

With everything she had wanted to do and say out of the way Akeno returned to the bleachers and sat down, making sure to pick a spot a little bit away from everyone else so that they wouldn’t notice how sweaty she was.
