Ten foot gaps as in he needs to jump them or ten feet is just how far the kobolds are from him? Either way working on a post now.

How far the kobolds are from each other. And by extension the nearest one to him, since the closest (immediate range) was slain.

That is another dead kobold @Lucius Cypher, leaving one standing.

@Zverda - You are up! The opponent is I believe 50 feet from your position.

Druid has provided the information they could indeed come to know of. I shall provide an update on the actions of the kobold come tomorrow!

So, a little something @Zverda@Ryonara@Lucius Cypher@Norschtalen@The Harbinger of Ferocity.

You are free to end combat here and leave the kobold in its self-assigned prison if you so desire. You may also seek to continue the combat to its end. If you do, allow me to roll initiative for the new opponents at the bottom of the stairs just as well. Either way goes. The beasts seem unsure on what to do for now, and remain in the darker reaches of the bottom where the light laid by the flickering lamps of the upper level do not reach.

So what I would like to request is for you to tell me how you seek to proceed.

I still have my rage up, so I figured Orchid would give chase. Not like they have the element of surprise anymore with that kobold running away.

Orchid would like to give chase down the ledge. Noted. Any other takes on the subject before I take that as the route you would be heading down? After all, it only takes one aggressor to make the combat go on.

Brannor would not initially give chase, no, assuming a bow would suffice and just slowly pelting them with arrows until they caved. I imagine if and when Orchid would go down he would join as a result, not willing to let them go without an ally in such an unknown.

Your wishes to see the combat resuming have been seen to. It is now Kyra's turn @Norschtalen.

EDIT: And since I neglected to mention this before this moment in time, there are three of the draconic beasts present.

On one hand Kyra would like nothing more than to continue to slaughter her way through the enemy, but she doesn't want the party to run into a trap. In any case I'll have a post up either today or tomorrow.

Few things I would like to be sure of before we move to any enemy turns, @Norschtalen.

1. You are aware that being prone means that you, too, attack at disadvantage, yes? To quote the condition:
  • A prone creature's only movement option is to crawl, unless it stands up and thereby ends the condition.
  • The creature has disadvantage on attack rolls.
  • An attack roll against the creature has advantage if the attacker is within 5 feet of the creature. Otherwise, the attack roll has disadvantage.

2. You are a Wood Elf. You can see into the darkness, ergo you can make out the three draconic beasts that have no cover in the darkness, other than the shroud of no light itself. Only the kobold benefits of cover, that provided to it by one of said drakes. Thus if you wish to be prone, you could take the shot now and flop down after.

As another note that might apply to all, I will stress that the bottom of the pit to the North-East does not have any other ways out from it than the currently locked metal gate as far as you can see. Another tunnel further into the cave can be found along the South-Western wall, though it soon curves more directly West.

Anyhow, if you choose to change some of these it shouldn't be particularly disruptive for the plans of others since the Shield of Faith will go down just fine. We would move on to Ashkar Brannor's turn next @The Harbinger of Ferocity.

For some reason I thought being prone only gives you disadvantage for melee attacks. Alright with all this information I think I’ll have Kyra just kneel instead of go prone and use Toll of the Dead instead. Handy spell to get around cover. I’ll add the info to my post ASAP.

You seem to have used a smaller damage die than the damaged state of the kobold would have allowed @Norschtalen. This does not matter however, for the kobold succeeds in its save at 15.

You score your hit @The Harbinger of Ferocity. The creature at the bottom seem unfazed by the arrow sticking out of it, if somewhat madder than before.

Onward to Parum's turn @Ryonara.

Is that to be understood as the arrow appears to have done no harm, say not drawing any blood, or the creature struck is not all that wounded by the attack, @Hekazu?

They do not appear immune to the attack, or even particularly resistant @The Harbinger of Ferocity. It is more like shrugging off a weak hit.

Besides, as far as description guidelines go, things start bleeding at around half HP, so no, no blood is visible yet. The arrow sure is embedded in the creature though.

Useful information to have all the same, @Hekazu. As for the "bloodied" status, it was more just my inquiry if they seemed to be living or affected at all. Say if they were undead, I imagine they would just seemingly absorb attacks with little outward reaction. Mostly a matter of needing to know if they were unphased for some reason as that would become much more concerning and pressing.

@Hekazu

Are there any other entrances into this area aside from where we came from and where the kobold dropped down from? I wanna have Orchid move over near the entrance and ready an action to attack anything that comes through.

@Lucius Cypher - Yes. Torus is currently at the bottom of the stairs that lead down to the lower level. The door at the bottom built of iron bars is currently locked. You may follow through with your current plan if you so desire, but be advised getting any results that way would have minimal chances.

Or wait, do you mean into this room? Don't confuse the bottom area as another room in case you do, it's still this one. As for any other ways in than the one you came through, yes, there is one other path about ten feet wide along the Western wall. Readying an action there is entirely possible, but still means your rage will end since you made no attack and have not been hit.

@Hekazu

I’ll have Orchid move to the western entrance and hold an action then. If he can get his attack before his next turn begins, he’ll still get to maintain his rage, since holding an action means my turn hasn’t quiet yet ended. If no enemies show up by then, then yeah suppose my rage would go down.
