Wendy nodded at Trevor’s words, seemingly believing him. The truth would surely be stranger anyways. ”Orphans? In this weather?! Oh that’s so sad. I mean... Hgn, I can’t just leave you kids alone, especially after you saved me...” Wendy seemed stuck for what to do. She had a job and she prides herself fir her timely deliveries, but was her job more important than the well-being if these children? As she pondered what to do the other Pokémon spoke to her.
The seedot described a strange looking bidoof attacking them, makin Wendy curious. ”A bidoof attacked you? Alone? That’s unusual. I’ve never heard of them being so aggressive, especially when they’re outnumbered. They’re plant eaters too, so maybe it just wanted to eat you?” A red eyed bidoof who seemed immune to the seedot’s attack was indeed unusual and Wendy didn’t have an sender for it. Maybe Nathan was just too weak to do any meaningful damage. ”I can’t say I know what else would be going on. I imagine there’s lots of bidoofs around here though, especially with these torrential rains. It’ll be the perfect time for them to come and make dams for any Pokémon who can afford it.”
Next was Celina and Vi who wanted to know if there were any towns nearby. “Closest place I remember is the Stardust Village, pass the river and to the north. Doesn’t seem to have been caught up in this heavy rain though. Not sure how you’ll get there since it seems like the wind and rain is worse over there, so much that the bridge is flooded! But I do think I saw somewhere safe.” We day hopped around and pointed a wing towards the forest, in the direction of the glowing light. ”I think there’s a berry farm in that direction. I remembered seeing it right before the murkrows attacked. A big barn with a farm house nearby, saw the lights inside on too. I’m sure there’s someone there willing to help ya. I... I wish I could do more, but I can’t stay. I need to deliver my letters.”
When Jeri asked about some berries to heal her injuries, Wendy lit up. There was a way she could help. ”Hold on a moment!” Carefully tilting herself forward, Wendy pulled out an assortment of items. A small bundle, a wooden flask, and a few colorful rocks. ”It’s not much, but I figured you should all have this. That bundle has some Lava Cookies, delicious snacks that’ll help you heal up if you’re hurt from poison or some such. This is my water bottle, but I filled it up with berry juice! One gulp and it’ll perk you right up! And these are my lucky rocks. I think it’s onlu appropriate that thanks to these stones, I was lucky enough for you all to save me, so you should have them yourself. I have a hard rock, a green shard, and an oval stone. I hope you’ll find some use for them like I have.”
Wendy starts flapping her wings, healthy enough to be able to fly under her own power. ”I think I ought to be able to at least take you guys over to the farm house if you ride in my bill. Just tell me when you’re ready to go and I’ll get us there Lickilicky split!”
