Here is my second character, mostly for a plot which will take a while to start though IC speculation could be fun, may or may not play her, its a secret ;)
Name |
Padi Genemaya
Age |
Last seen at 19, would be 22
Gender |
Female
Level/Tier |
Virtuoso, Tier II
House |
Bestia
Appearance/Attire |
Through her life she has kept a similar look, always very serious looking on her attires, usually wearing military-like dresses or sports outfit. She had light brown skin and white hair, when she arrived it was quite short but it grew longer the more she stayed in the academy. She trained every day, and as such, she grew to have a well-defined body.
Alignment |
Vigilante, Rebel Moral
Personality/Habits |
Genemaya, or Padi as most called her, was a bit of a strange figure. Unlike most people who like to walk around in L'Mordryn on military attire, she wasn't arrogant or vain, and not only because she wasn't noble, but because she was truly humble. That said, she was very irritable towards those who stepped out of line and sometimes came off as a bit of a delinquent as she had no problem in threatening others if they were behaving improperly or being a nuisance. She was focused and talented, and although she disliked disruption, she was more than willing to help others, it also had to be said that she wasn't exactly grumpy and often she was seen smiling after she did well on a test or a battle, she seemed to be enjoying her time in the academy.
Background |
Genemaya, unlike many students, came from a republic, no noble name on her back, only her own hard work. She joined the military school quite young, liking the discipline and clear objectives they had, and as soon as she discovered her potential to be a summoner, she started to seek further education in the area. She wasn't exactly stellar, but she wasn't a push around either, she couldn't skip years with ease like a few legendary summoners, but she never failed her tests. This discipline landed her as one of the students the republic would pay to enroll in L'Mordryn, after the mediocre kids of a few officials didn't make past the tests, the relationship soured between the government and the academy, accusations of bias against their nation being thrown around, this led to the program being canceled, but Genemaya decided to, controversially, still apply for L'Mordryn instead of going back to the republic's lackluster summon school. It had hurt her that this came off as a betreyal of the republic as she merely wanted to learn what made L'Mordryn work and bring it back home.
In the academy Geremaya pretty much kept her same approach, studying hard, but the only thing worth of note during her first years was the sudden growth spur from tomboy to glamazon and the slow melting of her military recruit aloof approach to a more casual one. She won some battles and lost others, she called forth increasngly complex monsters with great effort, she got in a few fights with noisy students and then... she vanished.
It was sudden, and it happened right as the students were torn between leaving the school for summer or taking the last few extra classes. She was gone, no hint of her anywhere, no matter where others looked. Portals were assessed, searches were done in the realms her summons came from, and through summer a lot of detective work had been done to find the missing student, no clue to be found. The general consensus is that she probably suffered an accident in the trip back home, though there is no proof she even left the academy grounds.
This was, oddly, what made Geremaya such a memorable student, a talk of student rumours and occult club discussions ever since. It's not like a few students hadn't had got the short end of the stick over the history of summoning academies, but the sudden vanishing with no clues is a peculiar one.

Sometimes simple is better, especially when that simple is done at a colossal size. Karkatakam is a massive, massive crab with reinforced shell to the point even magic has trouble hurting him. Is there more to this creature? Can it walk forward? No, but its still a fearsome opponent in sheer size and dominance.
An ancient order of assasin rabits, a group of up to five of these could be called in battle, bringing things much more terrifying than their cute fluff would lead you to believe. By far one of Genemaya's smallest summons, and yet one of the hardest to deal with.

Slimes are infamous among Bestia for being hard creatures to deal with, as, obviously, they aren't exactly the smartest ones and often are mocked as budget versions of Phantasma's Mimics and elementals. A tamed slime though, is an amazing asset to any summoner, especially if they are flexible, from hammers to bikes to whales, a trained slime is the best friend of a summoner. One of the slime species that can take the most complex form was discovered by Lady Oraviere back when she was a student, which explains the name of the poor creature, though it was also known to be a stiff and stubborn creature, which made Genemaya's taming of it quite impressive.
Genemaya's summon that gave her the rank of Virtuoso Tier II, even if she never had the time to fully tame the sphinx, it was still impressive to bring forth a beast of such power. The sphinxs is not only a strong bodied creature, but she is also capable in many magical arts, especially illusion and mind reading.
In her quest to tame the sphinx, Genemaya became aquainted with this mysterious species, being one of the first summoners to properly link with them, though taming was another matter. Nevertheless, the silver scaled cats became loyal companions to the silver haired woman, and a pack of three of these was not something you'd like to meet.
