@Sep I'm just thinking right now, would it be okay if I went with a squadron of starfighters? Would allow for more realism, versatility as well as actual damage against big ships, instead of a solo pilot playing mosquito and having to survive every. Single. Time.
@NightmareInd that's fine, simply obviously you'll be in need of a home base but that's one of the things you can negotiate for. Other people have their own issues.
I dunno. Could be interesting to see a squadron of fighters trying to maybe decide which ship they are gonna be using as a home base at any given time.
Perhaps it's a rebel squadron that in the immediate past lost its carrier. They may have just enough hyperfuel for a couple more jumps but not enough to make it back to the nearest rebel base?

I was personally thinking to make them originally be from the original timeline (the canon one) from after the Battle of Endor, before being pulled into this alternate reality while on patrol. That way they are familiar with everything yet unfamiliar to the new changes the suspicious figure made to the galaxy they used to know.
Also, where should I post the sheet? Here or straight into characters?
Name(s) of Ship(s): Orange Squadron (Orange 1 through 12) Home Universe/Name of Franchise: Star Wars (Original Galactic Civil War era, post Battle of Endor.) Ship(s) Class(es):Fighter Squadron (7× Starfighter, 3× Assault Starfighter/Bomber and 2× Gunship) Role: Utility (Air to air, air to ground, bombing, patrol, recon, etc.) Physical Description: Because of Orange Squadron's versatility, it exists of a number of different vehicles. Their main go-to starfighter is the T-65B X-wing, with each being colored orange with the amount of stripes on the wings indicating their designation. Besides that, they have a couple of BTL-A4 Y-wings for heavy bombing and UT-60D U-wings for troop transport. Although they are also trained in using RZ-1 A-wings, these are not commonly used by them. Physical Size (roughly): 7× X-wing (12.5m), 3× Y-wing (23.4m), 2× U-wing (24.98m). Armament/Complement (roughly): The X-wings are equiped with 4 KX9 laser cannons and 2 MG7 proton torpedo launchers each. They are equipped with an astromech which can help with maintenance, navigation and other useful tasks on board. They are also equiped with a hyperdrive. The Y-wings have 2 IX4 laser cannons at the front each, as well as 2 SW-5 ion cannons on top of the cockpit's rotating turrets and Flex Tube proton torpedo launchers 2 as well as Proton Bombs for the heavy bombing. Just like the X-wing, they are also equipped with an astromech that can direct the turrets and with a hyperdrive. The U-wings are equipped with 2 KX7 laser cannons each and one of them has 2 M-45 repeating ion blasters that can be mounted by a passenger. Instead of an astromech, these gunships are able to use human co-pilots. They are also equipped with a hyperdrive. History of the Squadron: Orange Squadron is the newest, perhaps most elite squadron of their period, in the way they could perform a versatile amount of tasks. After the Battle of Endor, to make sure the remaining Imperials didn't go unpunished after their crimes against the galaxy, Orange Squadron was created as a part of a task force to hunt down war criminals on the top of the Rebellion's most wanted list. They weren't picky about who the people were when selecting their members, as long as they sided with the Rebellion and had the skill to get into the group. Notable Crew:
Crew Size: 14 (24 if you count the astromechs) Faction: Alliance to Restore the Republic
I'm intrigued by the concept. Before I can reach a decision can I get a little more on the history? Why was it formed, when, how (Squadrons don't often pop up out of nowhere, especially named squadrons, most the colours were taken early Rebellion and continued onwards throughout its course).
Just fluff it up a bit, this way you can have the finest moment of all.
Mostly complete, just deciding on if there's any more notable crew I want to add/things to flesh out. The usual.
Name of Ship: UN Cosmos Navy Ship Andromeda AAA-01 Home Universe/Name of Franchise: Space Battleship Yamato 2199 Ship Class:Andromeda Class Role: Main Line Battleship Physical Description/Image: See above Physical Size (roughly): 444 meters in length Armament/Complement (roughly):
Twin barrel wave motion gun - Can be focused on a single large target, or dispersed to cover a wide area and multiple targets at a lower power. (Currently damaged and inoperable)
4 triple-barreled 40.6 cm positron shock cannon turrets
4 torpedo launch tubes
4 graviton launchers
2 four-barrel anti-battleship grenade launchers
4 subspace torpedo launchers
3 shock field cannons around conning tower
2 six-barrel multi-launch lateral beam cannons
History of the Ship: Launched in 2202 as the first ship of it's class, the Andromeda was designed as the successor to the Yamato class Battleship, developing upon its wave motion technology in order to represent a strong defense for Earth against all the threats of the galaxy. It first saw combat at the Battle of the Eighth Continent, assisting Terron and Gamilas forces in eliminating the vast majority of a Gatlantis fleet, though it was unable to prevent a survivor from escaping.
Some time later it took part in a fleet exercise near Jupiter, where it came into contact with the fleeing Yamato. After an initial confrontation Andromeda allowed it to go on it's way, with the mission being retroactively authorized. At the same time interned pilots were also turned over to the Yamato, in order to aid its efforts.
Her next fleet action was the Battle of Saturn, where a massive Gatlantis force had begun moving on Earth. Successful in fending off most of the conventional fleet, the Terron forces found themselves outmatched as the Gatlantis Ark of Destruction arrived, handily defeating everything that the combined forces could throw at it. Andromeda was barely able to escape due to the noble sacrifice of one of her sister ships, leaving her to be hauled back to the Time Faulton Earth for repairs. Only, something happened before it could reach, leaving it swept away on the winds of fate
Notable Crew: Captain Osamu Yamanami - Student of Admiral Okita.
Unique Technology: Wave motion energy -Wave Motion Shield: Projects a barrier around the ship which can deflect object impacts for a limited time, however the wave motion gun is not usable while active. -Wave Motion Engine: Primary power source, it allows for effective operation beyond the bounds of the Milky Way Crew Size: Faction/Operator/Owner: United Nations Cosmos Navy
Well, not so much an anti-grav but a gravity generator.
Considering the only way you get to stand up is with mag boots or with acceleration.
It has its benefits though.
Aye, but an anti-grav device to deal with acceleration/deacceleration Gs. They have a lot of trouble with that in the Expanse. Unless a gravity generator handles all that stuff! I mean technically that acceleration force isn't gravity right? so I don't know...

Ah right I thought you were getting at creating gravity, which was why I was confused with you throwing in the word anti. Inertia Dampeners are what it's called in most franchises. I know that's what it is in Stargate. I think it's just a way to have the effects negated, but without actually trying to figure out the science.

Looking at you Star Trek.
Nailed it! Thanks for not making me have to Google. We all know how hard that is haha... 😅. I'll need inertia dampeners! And an FTL drive! Stat! Just want to get it out there because I will run into the FTL problem quickly IC. I'll definitely have my crew asking for that technology as soon as they figure out everyone else has it.

"gib hyperdryve plz d00d"
On the brightside there is a couple of ships capable of towing you through Hyperspace.
Read some of Palpatine's speech. Let me just say that I cannot wait to nuke his ass from orbit with 16 pulse turrets. Also, Anubis. I look forward to ending his Ascended ass with the drones I have as well. Or a bomb. Either one as long as it destroys his energy based form.

Oh yeah surprise! I'm sure nobody guessed it was Anubis.
Also destroying his ascended form is the hard part, there's more story there to be revealed. In time...
