14 isn't too bad. But yeah, Orchid would totes be down for taking out this guy first if we're going on the offensive.

With there being no interest in a solution other than going to combat, initiative has been arranged for and the order is now running. First in the order came in on slot 19, but was not visible to you. Of you, the first one to act would be Kyra @Norschtalen.

Also, we are at another tiebreaker, this time for Brannor @The Harbinger of Ferocity and Torus @Zverda. It seems Brannor has a higher DEX mod, but if you'd like to change the order just be in touch.

Unless there is particular protest or reason that @Zverda wishes to go before Brannor with Torus, I have no issue in maneuvering ahead of the druid.

@Norschtalen - Your attack lands. The target seems mostly unfazed by the damage caused, the chief reaction being starting to pull the axe into a battle ready position.

@Lucius Cypher - Orchid is up.

Your target is hit, @Lucius Cypher. He does manage to duck to make his armour absorb worst of the blow though, his body not yet shedding blood to signify weakness. If I may request you to be faster on the draw for your next turn, I would like to do that. This was on the late side in my honest opinion.

Anyway, next would be @Ryonara with Parum.

There is a little issue with the Ready Action trigger you have chosen @Ryonara

When the trigger occurs, you can either take your reaction right after the trigger finishes or ignore the trigger.
PHB p.193

Emphasis mine. To finish starting an attack is a very strange limbo of hacking apart an action, and that cannot happen for clarity's sake. Would you like to make scarce with the Readying to save your reaction or shift the trigger to after attack?

Right, suppose that does sound weird. I think I’ll just set the trigger to something else.

I'll do the AoO on that guy running towards Kyra. No reckless, but I think I hit for 16. The Damage is a nice 10.

Your attack lands, @Lucius Cypher. No blood is drawn, but you give their armour a good memento of your offence.

Would you like to react to your trigger condition being fulfilled, or leave it for later @Ryonara?

The foe just barely does not make the save with a roll of 12. Given it makes no sense for him to have the time to run back the full distance in the timeframe of a turn and still make it forward, since no further opportunity attacks are plausible I will describe it as him halting in place for a moment. Last post will be edited to reflect this.

It will be Brannor's turn next @The Harbinger of Ferocity.

Not looking promising for the next round, is it? My tolerance for the delays dragging on is growing thin, I won't hide it from you good people. You do deserve to know, since it isn't a game without you taking part just as well. If either side cracks, the DM or the players, well then a game of D&D isn't really working well is it?

I hope we can keep this rolling. It would be a shame to put the closing notice after all the hardships we have already endured as a group. But there's only so much I'm able to take on the whole "no communication, sparse posting" front.

Your Guiding Bolt hits @Norschtalen. It's a rather nasty blow at that, burning a gap into the man's armour and leaving a glowing patch of skin behind, from whence it spreads to the rest of the man's body for the spell effect. Yet that spot will remain battered, and even softly haemorrhaging as time goes by.

Next up is @Lucius Cypher with Orchid.

You land your attack @Lucius Cypher. It draws further blood, nicking the armour at the outer edge of the axe wielder's shoulder, but it does not strike him down quite yet. Sturdy lot, these guys. Effect of the guiding bolt recedes.

Parum is up next @Ryonara.

Cyanwrath fails his save with a roll of 10 @Ryonara. I can't promise that you could use both effects of the Blindness/Deafness spell with this one though. Feel free to explain the image you are creating in more detail so that I can assess what you are actually trying to achieve. You'll have time, since I won't have the chance to provide an IC reply until Monday rolls around, as my weekend is booked full.

@Hekazu

The wonderful thing about illusions is that with enough creativity and a high enough caster level, they can do anything.

You craft an illusion that takes root in the mind of a creature that you can see within range.
The target must make an Intelligence saving throw. On a failed save, you create a phantasmal object, creature, or other visible phenomenon of your choice that is no larger than a 10-foot cube and that is perceivable only to the target for the duration. This spell has no effect on undead or constructs.

The phantasm includes sound, temperature, and other stimuli, also evident only to the creature.

The target can use its action to examine the phantasm with an Intelligence (Investigation) check against your spell save DC. If the check succeeds, the target realizes that the phantasm is an illusion, and the spell ends.

While a target is affected by the spell, the target treats the phantasm as if it were real. The target rationalizes any illogical outcomes from interacting with the phantasm. For example, a target attempting to walk across a phantasmal bridge that spans a chasm falls once it steps onto the bridge. If the target survives the fall, it still believes that the bridge exists and comes up with some other explanation for its fall—it was pushed, it slipped, or a strong wind might have knocked it off.

An affected target is so convinced of the phantasm’s reality that it can even take damage from the illusion. A phantasm created to appear as a creature can attack the target. Similarly, a phantasm created to appear as fire, a pool of acid, or lava can burn the target. Each round on your turn, the phantasm can deal 1d6 psychic damage to the target if it is in the phantasm’s area or within 5 feet of the phantasm, provided that the illusion is of a creature or hazard that could logically deal damage, such as by attacking. The target perceives the damage as a type appropriate to the illusion.
Phantasmal Force

Bold is mines. I figured that I could do more than just blind him, but also include other effects as well, just to be on the safer side.

What Cyanwrath would see is a cloud of greenish-black fog assault him, effectively blinding him as well as "poisoning" him (This is what the Phantasmal Force damage would feel like). It's pretty much Parum faking a Stinking Cloud spell, while also using the phantasm to amplify her music in order to deafen him as well, just for good measure. And best of all since it's a phantasmal force and not an actual stinking cloud spell, only Cyanwrath would be affected, leaving Parum's allies to take advantage of his simulated blindness/deafness/poisoned condition.

Understandably this might seem quite powerful for just a second-level spell, but Illusions tend to have that drawback of "far more useful than it's given level if people don't realize it's an illusion". They're great as long as the enemy doesn't ubiquitously know it's not possible and thus ignore it. Though at least with Phantasmal Force, it'll eat Cyanwrath's action if he wants to save from it.
