“Just because it isn’t broken, doesn’t mean it can’t be improved."
Name: Avalon Vientro
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Country of Origin: Sher
Weapons:
Clarent (shown in FC) - A family heirloom passed down from the great warriors of the Vientro family.
Bombs (working names) - Thin sacks that are usually filled to a size a bit smaller than a fist that easily burst when enough force is applied; Avalon typically fills these with a variety of different potions he mixes to cause various effects.
Pridwen - A powerful shield bearing the image of the Sher’s flag; the front being red with a gold trim and the silhouette of Entei in the center.
Lanval - A miniature, wrist-mounted crossbow, created and modified by Avalon after countless hours of studying the weapon.
Bolts in a pouch at his waist
Equipment:
Various ingredients for mixing potions
Treats for Cavall and Aries
A few small tools he usually keeps in a satchel
Appearance:
Avalon stands at roughly 6’2” tall with a head of typically unkempt, dirty blonde hair and piercing green eyes. He boasts an incredibly strong musculature due to years of physical training at the behest of his father.
Personality::
Avalon is a proud young man with a deep love for the people of his country. Regardless, he is not at all what one expects where the idea of the typical Sheran is concerned. Battle is rarely his first option, though he often must be prepared for it. He isn’t one to stick to the traditional ideas of combat though, relying more on tricks than brute force. Unfortunately, in order to talk about peace, one must be strong enough to back up their words, a lesson he has yet to learn. As such, despite something of a “never say die” attitude he doesn’t always give off the reliable atmosphere of a future leader.
The issue with Avalon, however, can be found in his lack of prudence in fulfilling his responsibilities as a prince of Sher. He often goes days, even weeks on end tinkering with inventions and mixing potions in his chambers. This likely stems from his own curiosity. He is always interested in learning more about things. How do they work? How can he make them better? As such, he has developed something of a reputation for his own eccentricity.
Additionally, he isn’t really good with people. He isn’t isn’t the timid, or quiet type though. Rather, Avalon is somewhat shameless in his interactions. Whether it is his work, his ideas, his body, anything. He is quite willing to bare himself to the world if his interest is piqued and he can’t help himself.
Short Biography:
Avalon is the last of three children, born of King Persivell II and Queen Lisbeth of Sher. With an older brother and sister who seemed to be the embodiment of what was expected of the future leaders of their nation, Avalon was quickly labeled the black sheep. Much of his youth was spent exploring, the grounds of the kingdom and his own curiosity. As he grew older he began to shirk his responsibilities, his training and lessons. Seeing this to be concerning and unbefitting of a member of the crown, his father became much more strict with him. If that wasn’t enough his brother and sister would begin to help make sure he paid attention. It was disgusting.
Even so, the prince found it much simpler to do as was expected of him and keep up with his exercises and lessons so that he could spend the rest of his time in the bliss of exploration. It didn’t hurt that he would soon become fascinated with newer forms of weaponry that he came across, along with new Pokemon. Speaking of which, it was around the time he was 6 that he acquired his first. While out and about he came across an oddly colored Trapinch. He was quickly enthralled by it. It was unique. He felt an odd connection with it, and though it wasn’t quite reciprocated at first, he returned to it each day. He brought treats he’d made himself and spent time with it. This went on for weeks until one day he managed to get the Trapinch to follow him home.
With a new partner in crime whom he could relate to, Avalon’s days got much better. It was easier to muck his way through things when he had a little buddy with him. Besides, Trapinch was loyal, and didn’t get in his way. Years went by and he would eventually pick up another friend for himself in the form of his Mareep. He managed to come to an agreement with his family. He would do as needed, when needed, so long as he got to have his own fun. His siblings didn’t seem to mind. As they got older and came into their own, they lightened up quite a bit.
Pokemon:
Name: Cavall Species: Vibrava Gender: Male Ability: Levitate Appearance: Contrary to the typical colorings of the Vibrava species, Cavall sports quite the unique coloring. The usual greens of the species are replaced with red, it’s body taking on a much more yellowish hue. The only constant seems to be the black parts that seem to span the entirety of the Vibrava species. Personality: Energetic, dog-like, and bold are just some of the words that could be used to describe Cavall. At least, that’s what Varian would say. Move Set:
Name: Aries Species: Mareep Gender: Female Ability: Static Appearance: There isn’t really anything that can be used to differentiate Aries from the average Mareep. She does, however, seem to be a bit larger than the typical Mareep. Personality: Aries is a bit shy, but can be very playful once she trusts someone. She also hates being too far from Varian. Move Set:
To be added at a later date.
Summary:
A Sheran prince who cares more about satiating his curiosity than military responsibility.
Alrighty, here we go with the critiques. Be aware that, even though I am looking over your sheets, there might be one or two things that stick out and would like emphasized/changed/explained more. I hope you don't come at me with pitchforks and torches.
@jdh97 Honestly, I don't see anything wrong with Eon other than the clothes he wears. Taranis is pretty hot, so maybe he could ditch the furs? Unless you're saying that's what he's wearing up in Sher. Also, you can explain what he carries under the "equipment" section that's beneath "weapons" instead of putting everything under other. Other than that, your character is ACCEPTED.
@Mr Nim The first thing that sticks out to me is that, even though Zella was born in Hotaru, she has no eastern vibes. Her name isn't really Eastern, and she seems like she isn't really from there. You can easily fix this by either having her parents not be Hotaruan, and have moved there instead, or have her be from somewhere else.
@Typical Honestly, I love him. I don't see anything that really sticks out, so he's ACCEPTED.
@CleanBreeze I am not looking at your character until you join the discord, fix your backstory, and separate your paragraph into separate ones.
@Eleven Firstly, I love the format you have your sheet in. Love the blocks and sprites! Honestly, love her simple and straightforward backstory, and I love the story with Captain. She's ACCEPTED.
@Hey Im Jordan Well, nothing much other than to say ACCEPTED!
@Fabricant451 Since your character's backstory is interlinked with Westra's, I don't have a problem with it either. ACCEPTED!
@UndeadSpartan I don't really have an issue with Shareena either. But, something that does nag me is the fact that she named her Croagunk and not her Zoroark, which has been with her for longer. If you need me to help you to come up with a name for him, I will! But for now, she's ACCEPTED!
@Demon Shinobi Your character sucks and you should feel bad.
NAH JUST KIDDING!
His weaponry is accepted, especially since we discussed it before. They're pretty cool-- simple, yet intricate, weapons. His personality and backstory is good, too, albeit a bit short. But I'm not gonna haggle you for it, it's good enough for me. If you would like I could help you pick out movesets later. For now, he's ACCEPTED!

@dragonpiece@FailingForward I'm sorry to say you've been booted from the roleplay and will not have a chance of rejoining.
@Helios J Mears@Pirouette I'm giving you two until the end of the weekend to at least reply to my pings. If you don't reply by Sunday, I'll unfortunately have to boot you two as well.
I'll be trying my damn hardest to start this roleplay today.

~ Name ~ Zella Lintos
~ Age ~ 22
~ Gender ~ Female
~ Country of Origin ~ Hotaru (Born in Nerida)
~ Weapons ~ A Pair of daggers (Dual-wielded)
Appearance: Zella is on the smaller side of sizes, standing at about 5’3”/ 1.6m, and appears to have a relatively slender figure. She has ginger hair, and light blue eyes. She also has a pair of scars, one from her chosen work, and one from when she was a child. Both scars can be seen on her right arm, although the more recent one is much closer to her hand than the older one.
Zella is often seen wearing a simple attire. She also carries on her person a leather side bag, one which appears to be relatively big. She also has a single dagger sheath that she hangs on her belt, which carries both daggers.
Personality: Zella is a kind, and a bit shy at first. She has a harder time interacting with people, and will retreat from conversations if she feels like something is becoming too much. At the same time, however, she does not have that problem with pokemon, and always appear curious by them, regardless if she knows the owner or not.
When it comes to fighting, Zella will always look for making sure everyone is in good shape. If they need treatment, she will rush over without a second thought. If a pokemon requires a potion to heal, she will work on producing one as fast as possible. If she needs to fight herself, however, she will normally be on the defensive side. Zella has little confidence in her own fighting skills, and prefer to run away over actually fight, if it is possible.
Short Biography: Born to a couple of tanners in Nerida, Zella had a rather rough childhood growing up. From a young age she was expected to aid her parents in their business, and was mostly given tasks of delivering tanned goods to those who had ordered them, in exchange for a bit more extra cash for the delivery. Unfortunately, this didn’t last for long, as people elected to come pick the goods themselves for the cheaper option. This meant that while she was still young, Zella eventually found herself with not much to do.
Soon enough, the family found themselves in need to relocate to a different country, as their business suffered greatly. Once in Hotaru, they managed to settle down in a village in the north of the country, where they had managed to find a place that had a need for tanners. It was there that Zella would find her home from there on.
During her early teen years, at the age of 13, Zella began working on tanning alongside her mother, learning the ropes from her. However, she could immediately tell that this was not right for her. Her father, in the meanwhile, began to train her in dual-wielding daggers, just as his father taught him, in order to ensure that Zella will be able to pass the skills down whenever she had a child of her own. It was during one of those training sessions that Zella took one step too far sideways, hitting the bark of a tree. It left a scar on the upper part of her right arm, along with a bunch of sap. While she initially intended to just clean the sap off, a Heracross jumped on her, seemingly from the same tree she hit, and began licking the sap right off her clothing. At first, she was incredibly uncomfortable and tried shooing the Heracross away, it seemed like nothing she or her father did would make the bug pokemon go away. When the sap was all gone, the Heracross initially let go of her arm, and just looked at the two. When Zella and her father began making their way back, the Heracross followed them. It followed them all the way to the village, before her father decided to try and send it back more forcefully. But the Heracross just pushed back, and then went between her father and Zella, surprising the two. Figuring there wasn’t any other choice, Zella allowed the Heracross to follow her back home, which basically led to the adoption of Gale.
At the age of 17, a fire had occurred in the neighboring village to the one Zella lived in. Many people started to come and find shelter in her village, making Zella curious about what had occurred. With her parents permission, she went to see what had happened, and to try and provide some tanned leather to anyone who was still in that village, as cover against the cold. Upon arriving there, she saw the ruins that remained from the village. No one had stayed there, but quickly enough she heard a cry. Running towards the sound, she found a pokemon she had never seen before, one which was trapped underneath a wooden pole. Using what strength she had, she managed to pull it just enough for the pokemon to become loose. Although it was wary, the pokemon did not immediately flee as expected. It simply looked at her, as if it was curious. As Zella kept looking around the ruined village, the pokemon followed her, from a distance. Eventually, when Zella decided it was time to go, the pokemon approached her. It was still done with caution, but it seemed as though the pokemon did not wish for her to go alone.
After escorting her the whole way back, the pokemon seemed to have become friendlier towards her. But it took a bit of encouragement for Zella to convince the pokemon to enter her village, where some of the people seemed to be as wary of it as the pokemon was wary of them. It was there she learned about the pokemon, who was known as Absol, the Disaster Pokemon. Rumoured to always be present where disaster occurs, it gained a bad reputation and was feared by many. But Zella decided she didn't care, and went to the stables in the village. While the stable owner was hesitant about letting an Absol stay there, he was convinced to let her stay, as long as Zella took care of the Absol entirely by herself. Zella, naming the Absol Mist, started spending much time in the stables. After a few months, the Stables owner saw the potential and care she put into her Absol and Heracross, and decided to hire her to be a stablehand. He also began teaching her how to take care of pokemon injuries and a bit of potion making, so she will be better equipped to help different pokemon that pass by the village, those who need care, or any random pokemon she finds along the way.
Zella felt like she found her calling in life thanks to this, with the calling being helping anyone and any pokemon she can.
Gender: Male (indicated by the cross-shaped edge of the horn)
Ability: Swarm
Appearance: While Gale still has the signature blue colour that is commonly known for Heracross to have, Gale has a pair of purple eyes, and her right antenna is missing.
Personality: Curious and Overly-Protective. Gale will always jump at the chance to meet new people and pokemon, normally dragging Zella out of her comfort zone Gale also enjoys exploring new areas he was never in before. He will always make sure no one he doesn’t approve of gets too close to Zella either, unless Zella tells him to step down.
Appearance: Mist's fur is slightly more greyish than the average Absol's. Another identifying marker about her is her eyes, both of which appear to be a matching grey to her fur.
Personality: Wary and Loyal. Mist, due to being feared for most of her life, always had a cautious attitude when it came to any humans. When encountering new humans on her own, she will always step back, but when it is with Zella, she becomes slightly more confident, though not by much. After being helped getting out of being trapped at the hands, Mist gained an appreciation towards Zella, and started following her, doing anything Zella asks her to do (As long as Mist is capable of performing the task), and even letting Zella ride her, as a show of gratitude and loyalty towards the human who helped her.
