That's pretty much what I had in mind with the clothes, so that's great. On the job, he probably just wears overalls like everyone else.
Glad you like him.
Ty for pointing out the missing colour code. Don't think I missed anything in the rules, but hard to be sure, since well, you know, the nature of missing stuff.
Thank you. ^_^
Ah, sorry, he's from England. I'll try to remember to go back and find a place to edit that in later.
Appearance: Standing an average 5’ 10” and weighing in at 145 pounds, Jacob on a normal day prefers the simplest attire. A colored t-shirt, cargo pants or jeans, a pair of converse, and a hoodie or a beanie make perfectly acceptable attire as long as they’re clean. He wears a brown cord necklace with a pearl woven into the front of it that, despite it not leaving his neck since he put it on, only has a few fraying strands around the pearl where he nibbles at the cord. A tattoo covers his right shoulder, four honeycombs each dripping with a different color: green for Christopher, red for Jacqueline, purple for Anezi, and gold for himself. He is almost always wearing a thick leather bracelet over the band that marks him as Fragmented, only forgoing it in public when he is meeting another Fragmented in an attempt to find his soulmate.
Personality: The first three characteristics that pop into anyone’s head when discussing Jacob are determined, driven, and passionate. Jacob experiences his opinions intensely and once he sets a goal, very little can stop him from getting there. Brought up by his outspoken and blunt father, he isn’t one to mince his words or hold himself back if he thinks something needs to be changed. That isn’t to say he is rude; more that he doesn’t have an issue pointing out a mistake and offering a solution.
In fact, Jacob often notices the good before the bad and just like with a flaw, has little issue in pointing the good out. His penchant for positivity and optimism can be overbearing for some but he just wants to leave the world better than how he found it, a worldview too few share in his opinion.
Biography: It probably wasn’t his first at some point. He probably has earlier ones, maybe of Manhattan in the fall or a nasty injury, but the memories of his aunt dominated his early childhood. Like him, his mother’s sister wore the mark of the Fragmented. Unlike him, and he would damn well make sure of it, she was Lost. Angelica, his mother, and Joan, his aunt, were half sisters and Joan was almost a decade older than her sister. Joan moved in when he was only three and often babysat him when his parents were out. She taught a small piano class to help pay her bills but as she grew older, her groups became smaller and smaller until she only taught Jacob. He had inherited her love for the piano early on and happily devoted himself to its play. Memories of his unsteady scales gradually growing into complex pieces played with confidence and gusto to a laughing family would keep him going when, his second year in elementary school, the music changed.
Joan committed suicide.
It took Jacob a long time to process it. His music, once expressive and upbeat, took a turn to the morose as his family suffered through the aftershocks. Angelica could barely stand to look at him. The mark only reminded her of her sister, of all the work she did to save her, of all the times she tried to find Joan’s soulmate, only to have it bleed out on the floor of the bathroom when no one was home. Every time she saw she son, she saw him withering away and dying before her, saw herself burying another family member sentenced to a horrible fate. Jacob took to hiding the band so she wouldn’t start sobbing as soon as she saw it. It seemed to help for a while; she would pick him up and talk with him as long as she couldn’t see it. As long as she could try and forget.
Jacob’s father was the reason the family held together as long as it did. Quinn O’Sullivan was the type of man who would rather die than see his family fall apart and so he worked endlessly to keep them together. He didn’t blame his wife for seeking solace in another man; he was too close to everything and he just reminded her that their family had problems. He enrolled them in grief counseling. He didn’t blame her when the pile of bottles grew higher than the edge of the recycling bin on the regular. He found her help. When his son’s music started lagging and he couldn’t play at his Aunt’s keyboard, he invested in a new piano so Jacob could make new memories. When Jacob cried about wanting to play with mom and not him, he covered the mark so his wife could bear to be around their son for a little while again. He pushed and pushed and held on as long as he could but things eventually fell apart.
When Jacob was in seventh grade, just after placing first in his first classical music competition, his mother filed for divorce. Pregnant with another man, Angelina decided to leave the memories, the fear, the dread most of all, behind and start a new life. Quinn and Jacob were devastated, especially as she gave up her rights as Jacob’s mother, and she disappeared from their life, not even a year later. This abandonment would give rise to Jacob’s unease around the Lost and his desperate attempts to find his soul mate. His dad already went through enough; he couldn’t do it to him again.
He met Christopher and Jacqueline just after his mother left, partnered on a project in music class. The siblings, fraternal twins, made quick friends with Jacob after discovering a sincere interest in music (and it helped no one was in the class for an easy grade). It was Jacob’s first real friendship, outside of acquaintances and brief connections from his extracurricular passion, that would last through present day. Christopher played the guitar and Jacqueline sang beautifully, bringing the three together to practice after school more often than not. Jacob and Christpher dated for a few months but between Jacob’s determination to find his soulmate and his demanding practice schedule and Chris’s tendency to laze, the pair quickly agreed they made better friends. Jacqueline only rolled her eyes at the news with an “I told you so” and they moved on from that.
They met Anezi a couple of years later, sophomore year of high school, when the three erroneously thought they could be a cover band before breaking out into something more. An art student with excellent skills but a less than stellar social record, the trio commissioned her for “Album Artwork” that never made it to the light of day. She still swears she never drew anything like that for them, even if she always keep a copy of her work, but she was drawn into the group anyways. She clicked perfectly, almost as if she had been around for the forming of the group. Christopher made a soulmate joke about it once. Jacob almost slugged him, his fear of becoming Lost making those jokes land poorly with him, and it took days of apologizing before Jacob finally forgave him, much to Jacqueline and Anezi’s amusement.
The four moved on from their musical aspirations pretty quickly, with the exception of Jacob. Christopher dropped out of high school and entered the workforce, later earning his GED and working his way into management. His life was stressful but he liked it, especially once he found his current girlfriend. They became the sickeningly sweet couple and the three teased him constantly for it, even if Jacob was a bit jealous. Jacqueline went onto major in biochemistry, losing contact with the group most often as she got swamped in classes, while Anezi moved onto animation, crying over long days and sleepless nights in the public workshops drawing and moving images. Jacob got lots of late night calls when her programs would crash and the others were asleep.
As everyone’s life was picking up, Jacob continued to have some issues at home. Out of curiosity, he found his mother on social media under a fake profile since she blocked his. He may have stalked her for months, crying himself to sleep over the constant posts of how much she loved her family and how great her life was. Not that he wanted her to have a bad life but he wanted her to have a good life with him. His father found out a year after Jacob created the fake profile and quickly shut it down, knowing it was doing nothing good for his son. It caused some tension but his father believed seriously in therapy, finding someone who would just listen. Jacob stayed with the therapist voluntarily until school obligations took him away from them but he still writes them every few months just to say hi.
His senior year of high school was his big debut in the world of music. After months of competitions around the US, Jacob qualified for one of three spots from the country for a prestigious music competition in Sydney, Australia. It was his first international trip and top placers were almost guaranteed scholarship offers. He purchased the pearl necklace he always wears for good luck and played his hardest through each round of judging. He performed Beethoven's Diabelli Variations for the competition, a lively twist on a more stately piece, not only to challenge his comfort zones but also because it was Joan’s favorite. Playing it for the world helped close wounds he wasn’t even aware he had. His emotional gamble won him second place and a full ride to his first choice university, the Manhattan School of Music.
His school career was a whirlwind of busy, between full time course work, working at small bars as a pianist, and searching for his soulmate. Time seemed to fly, studying abroad in germany his junior year. Although he never quite picked up the language, he spent a great deal of time searching for his soulmate since he was determined to find them. Antagonistic, platonic, or, if whatever fate gave him this mark was kind, romantic, he didn’t. He was just terrified of being lost. His senior year was even busier, putting a hold on searching for his soulmate unfortunately, but just after graduation, he got an offer to join a New York based orchestra thanks to a few connections he made in Germany. He would start in August, while practicing pieces they sent him on his own time, and in October they would be on the road around America. He couldn’t say yes fast enough.
But his plans were nearly thrown out of the window. The letter. An invitation that got Jacob’s pulse racing. After all his searching, after all his fears, after everything… how could he say no?

@Achronum Not gonna lie for a second there I thought I'd have to yell at you for using an IRL FC but then it was a painting and it's so pretty!
I love him! I assume he was born and raised in New York? Also, and this is probably just me not understanding music school, how long was his school career? Was it a 3-year major? If not, he might be a touch young to have already completed a 4-year program. Then again, you do get those students who were born late and end up being younger than everyone, so maybe it works? It's not a deal breaker or anything, but I'd like to know how that timeline fits together. Otherwise it looks great!
I adjusted his age because I can't do math but yes, he was born raised in New York. I mentioned it in the other section but I added the raised part for clarification!
@Achronum Alright, looks great! Thank you for clarifying ^_^ It's a great sheet, I can tell a lot of love went into it. Good way to incorporate the Lost too, and Jacob really does come off as desperate to avoid that fate. Very depressing! Very nice!
Oh, just to make sure I've made myself clear, your character does not need to know any English. You'll have access to universal translators at the event, so cross-language communicating won't be an issue. So if it doesn't make sense for your character to know English, just say they don't!
Standing at just shy of an inch over six feet, Ray is a well toned if somewhat lanky man. His red carpet of hair with an odd, occasional streak of green is constantly in disarray; despite the wide variety of hair products in the world, he has yet to properly tame it without spending longer than he really cares to on it. His bangs are constantly over his blue-green eyes, though he seldom bothers brushing them aside. His body is fit and he feels that he's nearing his peak physically since if he's not home or working he's likely at the gym. That said, there's a hint of shadows under his eyes and he constantly complains about his neck hurting.
Personality Ray feels and acts like a cranky old man, or so he says. Easily irritable, often wanting nothing to do with anyone, and sometimes dozing off randomly does give some merit to his claim. He is mostly keeps to himself though he's more than willing to socialize, only becoming less rough when he has more familiarity. The gruff doesn't bother hiding his opinions or true feelings, preferring to be upfront with his words whenever he does decide to talk. His priority first and always is his career, and if it weren't for stupid labor laws he would spend all his time working if he could. There is a muted passion whenever his interest is seen as he comes to life, putting in effort when needed and often tunnel visioning.
Biography Born and raised in New York, New York and not knowing much of the world outside it, Raymundo is the first child of Maribel and Edgar Parker. His mother's favorite joke is that Ray has been grumpy since the day he was born. He had no real reason to be, but he apparently took after his stern grandfather. His parents were middle class workers who were eager to start a family and share their happiness with their children. At the very least, his younger siblings matched their parents' aptitude, though Ray did feel some semblance of loneliness because of it. Nonetheless he grew up in a loving home, only occasionally feeling some odd sensation once in a while that he never understood but often put aside.
It wasn't until he was older that he was properly told about being Fragmented. The very first thought that popped up in his head was how stupid it all sounded. The stories of Reunited and their accomplishments were often seen as success stories, but for Ray personally, he really saw no benefit to it. He liked his life, he loved his family and despite his normally sour attitude, he genuinely felt that he was happy enough as it was. Being Lost was a huge inconvenience, but really, he didn't know any other Fragmented, let alone the one he was paired with. He felt that he was fine on his own and he could ignore the feeling of longing while he figured out his life first.
Becoming an officer wasn't his first choice; growing up he was driven by a desire to help people the same way his father, a trauma surgeon, did. That said, burdening himself with debt wasn't appealing, and so he looked to other avenues to help people. During high school he worked with his counselor on a few options, though with his athleticism and good moral compass, he was gently pushed towards becoming a police officer. Maybe if he couldn't help people after they got hurt, he could do what he could to prevent them getting hurt in the first place. Once he graduated he decided to go for it and enrolled in the police academy.
He ended up liking it a lot more than he originally thought, deciding to give himself a few goalposts while ignoring the increasing feeling that felt like it was literally tugging at him. Once he graduated the police academy, he did get to see his fair share of cases and ended up shadowing a K9 officer by the name of Klein. Admittedly Ray was more enthusiastic in taking his guidance solely due to getting the chance to have his own police dog someday. While both Klein and his dog Buddy would retire, getting to adopt Buddy cemented his career path.
By some kind of dumb luck, just when he felt like he wasn't able to ignore that annoying longing anymore, he received an invitation of sorts. A free vacation and he gets to bring his dog along while finally solving an emotional headache? Seemed a little too good to be true, but he wasn't about to pass it up if it meant getting rid of the problem.
Other The odd, out-of-place green streaks seen in his hair came from what was supposed to be a casual night out with his team that quickly turned into drunken shenanigans. He heard that removing dye sometimes causes hair loss and prefers to just grow them out. He is half Puerto Rican and half white. He speaks and understands Spanish alright, but doesn't utter a word of it unless asked. He's currently trying to quit smoking after learning dogs can get lung cancer from second-hand smoke. Buddy is his dog, he is ten years old and retired from the police force earlier this year. When his handler passed on the opportunity to adopt him, Ray jumped on the chance.

@Hero Looks good! Just a couple things. Where does he live? (Where did he grow up, if it's not the same place?) How long has he been a police officer? (I assume that's what you mean when you say "officer"?) Is he a beat cop or is he administrative?
Age: They were born October Nineteenth, 23 years ago.
Gender: Ashe is female, but prefers they/them pronouns.
Sexuality: Ashe had had enough experience to know that they are very firmly asexual. They think they are demiromantic but aren’t entirely sure on that one.
Appearance: Ashe has fair skin that is covered with freckles and loose brown curls. Their eyes are golden brown. Ashe is 5 feet 9 inches and weighs 150 pounds. They have legs that seem to go on forever. Ashe's fashion sense was most accurately be called 'crossdressing.' They enjoy dressing in clothes that are traditionally considered male. They tend to dress up in light colored slacks and colored button ups with suspenders. They accessorize with bow ties and matching hair ribbons. Their friends have called this fashion sense "Hipster Carny." Day to day they tend to wear jeans and polos. Occasionally, when the mood strikes them, they will wear something completely different; such as a sundress or a skirt. This is very rare. They keep their hair long. Sometimes they bind their size B bust flat. Sometimes they wear a push up bra. They like to be clean and neat appearing. They also prefer boots that come to just above their ankles to other type of shoes and are only willing to wear other type of shoes, if necessary, for the type of dancing there are planning on doing. They wear black leggings underneath black shorts with black boots and a black tank top when they “work.” It’s all skintight.
As for piercings and tattoos, Ashe only has two tattoos. Around their left wrist were their Fragmented Band would be on their other wrist is a matching band that is actually part of a chain that reaches around their arm and up to their elbow. The last link in the chain on their mid forearm is broken. The second tattoo is on the back of the shell of their right ear. It is in a slightly cursive font and reads, “Don’t Cross Me!” in black ink. They have matching piercings on both ears. There is small loop in their earlobes. As the piercings go up their ears the loops get smaller to end in a stud at the top of the curve of the ear. Ashe has a row of barbells along their left eyebrow. All of these piercings are copper colored stainless steel.
Personality: While being kind mostly for the sake of being kind Ashe is highly introverted. For the most part they like to stay at home and play video games or practice dancing. If they are compelled to socialize, they will do so without too much complaint though they will be mentally counting down the minutes until they can leave without causing too much social upheaval. Different types of social events drain their so-called social battery at different rates. If they enjoy the activity, they will be able to stay out for much longer. Other events make they want to go home immediately. They do their best to not let anyone clue into the fact that they are getting ready to so home. Just because they are not enjoying themselves does not give them a right to be a “party pooper.” Everyone else is allowed to enjoy themselves as well. They still can’t wait to get home. If they are enjoying themselves, such as a dance party, they are usually right in the middle of things. If they are not enjoying themselves, such as a house party, they tend to stay at the sidelines.
Ashe is also highly competitive though they do not like to admit this. They have been taught that showing off for showing off’s sake is not polite and they try to avoid it and as a result avoiding competition is something they try to do. It doesn’t often work. It never really works. Ashe likes to compete. It doesn’t really matter what type of competition. They have been competing in dance since they were small, and their competitive nature has led to their current line of work. They are drawn to competitions of any type; video games, board games, even sports. The level of their competitiveness depends on the activity and the company. It varies from “That was good clean fun” to “I’m going to destroy you utterly.” Ashe does her best to reign that last type in.
Biography: The story of Ashe Cross does not start with them. Instead it starts with the story of Navy Davidson and Gregory Cross. That story starts on the eve before Navy’s twenty-first birthday. That was the day that Fragmented woman decided that she was done with waiting for a person who was never going to show up. She decided that she was going to live her Best Life. She wasn’t going to let the depression most Lost suffered from set in because she wasn’t Lost. She just wasn’t going to sit around and wait for someone. Navy was going to have a fantastic life; just like any old regular Intact.
Originally romance had not been part of the plan for her Best Life. Then Navy met Gregory Cross when she was twenty-four. He was fifteen years older than her, a successful businessperson, and Intact. They decide that they were going to make it work. Gregory freely admit that he would never know what it meant to have that black band on his wrist. He freely admitted that he didn’t know what would happen to Navy as she became Lost. She still dated him. They still moved in together. They rapidly began to spend much of their free time together. It was almost inevitable even as she fought to live her Best Live. It was also inevitable that the two of them would fall hopeless and deviously in love. Gregory Cross asked Navy Davidson to marry him.
The night they celebrated the new ring on Navy’s left hand their protection failed. They had not planned on children, but when they discovered the error two months later, they were deliriously happy. The first bedroom was theirs. The second bedroom was Gregory’s office. They had planned on turning the last bedroom into a studio for Navy. Instead it was turned into a nursey that could turn into a bedroom and then into a haven as their baby grew into a child and then a young adult. They purchased outfits and diapers in bulk. They agonized over which crib to get. Before they even knew the gender, they were in love. This was the next step of their lives that defied all the odds. This was marvelous.
Then, when Navy was seven months pregnant the two took one last trip before, they became parents. One last trip as just the two of them. One last chance to be at least semi irresponsible. That was where they met Margret Wilson. To be more accurate that was when the other Fragmented crashed straight into Navy as both hurried to miss their connecting flights in a very busy airport. Neither one of them made those flights as they were overcome by euphoria. They were kissing before they even got up from their fall. The three of them retreated to a café to talk. Gregory was sent to watch their luggage. He understood. Two Fragmented had entered the airport. One Reunited was here now.
In the end the engagement was called off. Navy moved out of Gregory’s flat. Both she and Margret moved into a little house that he was paying the rent on. A second nursery was set up. Gregory was left both smiling and heartbroken. How could be anything less than happy for Navy. She had found her other half. It was just like out of a fairy tale or rom-com movie. She was in love and Margret was in love with her. That didn’t change the fact that Gregory still loved the woman he had purchased a ring for. That didn’t change the fact that even though he knew why he had lost her that he truly understood it. The man shoved those feelings aside. He still had a child on the way and he still loved that child.
Thankfully that was one thing Navy agreed upon. She and Margret were not going to try and push him out of his baby’s life. Navy said she understood that for Gregory the situation was bittersweet. She was willing to do whatever it took to co-parent. Margret agreed as well. The child would have at least three parents that loved them; maybe four if Gregory was ever ready for that again. Margret didn’t have parents, but the other four grandparents were ecstatic that they were welcoming a new member of the family. For the Cross grandparents this was their first. For the Davidsons this was their second. The child may not have been raised in a traditional home, but they would be absolutely loved.
That only lasted for the first three months after Ashe Cross was born. Then one Friday Navy and Margret dropped Ashe at Gregory's so the two soul mates could get away for a weekend getaway. When Sunday night came and the two women did not come home he started to get worried. None of his text messages received answers. He contacted Navy's parents to discover that Navy hadn't contacted them either. In a panic Gregory rushed over to the home he was renting for the two women. Their he discovered that the locks had been changed. Breaking a window got him in the house where discovered that the women had taken nothing with them. Their clothes, their cell phones, their cash. It was clear they had taken nothing. The police investigation lasted months, but it was soon clear that Navy and Margret could not be found. It was clear that they had just left with no intention of returning.
As a result, Ashe Cross was raised by a brokenhearted man. A brokenhearted man that loved them with his whole being and wanted nothing more than for them to be healthy and happy, but still brokenhearted. They were raised wanting for nothing, including discipline. They grew up knowing they were loved. They grew up being punished when they broke rules, but never abused. They grew up understanding the importance of taking care of people who just needed a little bit more help. They grew up kind, considerate, loving. They grew to be a strong as Gregory could make them. He loved his child with everything he could give. Yet he couldn’t hide the sadness that always hid between his eyes.
It wasn’t long before Ashe realized that the band on their wrist was the same band their mother had sported. It wasn’t long before Ashe learned the story from both sets of grandparents. It wasn’t long before Ashe realized that they hated their mother. They understood some of it. They had the yearning as well. They craved to fill the emptiness that had always been there in their soul. Ashe could understand why Navy had clung so tightly to Margret that even her engagement meant nothing. Ashe didn’t hate their mother because she had been Fragmented and then Reunited. They hated their mother because Navy had chosen to leave for no reason to who the flip knew where. Not even Grandma Davidson had heard from her daughter since. What Ashe hated her mother for was leaving her Intact family behind without having to suffer any of the consequences. From that hate came a decision.
Ashe was never ever going to do something like that. They were never going to make a decision that they wouldn’t make as just a Fragmented. Reuniting was not going to change their life to the point of cruelty. If they did find their soul mate and it was either a Platonic or Romantic bond Ashe was not leaving their father behind to have his heart broken yet again. If it was an Antagonistic bond Ashe wasn’t letting that person into their life to hurt their family. They rather be Lost than make a choice they wouldn’t as just a regular person. Besides; who was the universe to take the choice of person they wanted to spend their life with away anyways. If they ever did meet their soul mate, they were going to make sure that spending their life with that person was their choice and theirs alone. Until that day came Ashe wasn’t waiting for happiness to find them. They would find it.
As such Ashe has taken dance lessons all their life. They haven’t picked just one style they like and that frustrates their teachers. Even though they have grown up in privilege they have not wanted to ride that privilege all their life. They have worked one job or another since they were sixteen. First, they were a checker at a big box store colored red. Then they were a shop associate at a small boutique. They worked as a volunteer librarian and a lifeguard. They have taken a few classes as community college but aren’t sure what they actually want to do with their life. Perhaps they will pick a specialty dance soon. They are not sure.
Right now, Ashe Cross makes money as Noble_Dancer in the video game Gamer’s Nightmare. Gamer’s Nightmare is the first video game of its kind. Using a virtual reality headset along with sensors in specially designed boots, gloves, knee pads, elbow pads, shoulder pads, a belt the game tracks the real-world movements of the player translating them into the avatar’s movements. It requires physical action and motion on the part of the player to play the game. Since Gamer’s Nightmare is an action adventure game set in a traditional rpg world full of monsters, players who are not physically fit have a hard time keeping up. Many sports stars, soldiers, and athletes have been drawn to the game. It originally wasn’t something Ashe was interested in. Then one day a friend of theirs challenged them to a PvP fight. Ashe gloated the moment they won the first fight. The dare and the bet to place in the next PvP tournament was not something the competitive Ashe could ignore. To their surprise they placed in the amateurs’ tournament and had more fun than they had expected. Ashe was hooked. After a few rough starts Ashe started studying a few traditional fighting styles including various martial arts, fencing, and archery in order to keep up with players that have been fighting in some manner all their lives. Now Noble_Dancer is the fifth highest ranked avatar in the world and the third most popular due to the fact that their movements are closer to dancing than actual fighting. The androgynous elf’s catch phrase, “Don't Cross Me!” trends on social media every time they live stream. The real-world identity of Noble_Dancer is a complete mystery and Ashe plans to keep it that way.
They have recently told their viewers that they are going on vacation. Ashe is not excited about this. When the invitation to a weeklong getaway exclusively for Fragmented looking to be Reunited came in the mail Ashe planned on ignoring it, until their father asked them to please go. Gregory is worried about what would happen should their child become lost. Ashe thinks the thought of them becoming Reunited should not be enough to hope for. For one thing they wouldn’t want to be their soul mate and don’t want to subject another person to themselves. Besides they don’t understand why Fragmented can’t live complete lives just like Intact can. Still there is not much they wouldn’t do for their father. With Gregory’s help they were soon packed up and on their way to Canada. They plan to treat the whole thing as adventure. They have never left the southern coast of the United States before. It could be exciting! They even plan to do their best to socialize. They want to tell their father that they tried to find their soul mate. To be honest Ashe is a little worried about what happens if they do. Alright, worried is the wrong word, but they would die before admitting they were both insanely hopeful and positively terrified of finding their soul mate to anyone; including themselves.
Other: ★ Ashe has a terrible love for puns that they are ridiculously unashamed of. No one has managed to guilt them into being ashamed of this love. They like green tea, but dislike coffee. They also have a terrible sweet tooth. Their color code is #FFCA5C
@LadyAnnaLeeVery interesting! I do have some questions.
1. Right off the bat, and this is mostly just a technicality, I'm worried about Ashe's weight. For a height of 5'11, very tall for a female, Ashe is really straddling the underweight mark. At that sort of BMI, Ashe would not have anywhere near the energy to compete in Gamer's Nightmare as you've described it. If they're meant to be physically fit you'll want to up that weight a good amount; I'd recommend something like 160. Either that or make them about 6 inches shorter for a weight of 135.
(I know that seems like nitpicking, but I'm underweight myself and it sucks so I like to keep an eye on weights, lol)
2. I'm slightly confused about Ashe's personality. They come across as a bit contradictory; sometimes reclusive, sometimes not. Can you shed some light on that? Also, I'm a little confused about this splash of self hatred at the end of the bio. Where did that come from?
3. How/when did Ashe get into Gamer's Nightmare? I'm interested in the transition from passionate dancer to hardcore pro gamer. Also, how does she make her money? Twitch donations? Corporate sponsorships?
4. Oh boy, that's a rough story about poor Gregory. Was Navy a flight risk before she Reunited? The soul bond can make you do some crazy things, but up and abandoning your baby (not to mention locking it alone in your house, presumably to die) is pretty extreme. She would have needed to have that sinister side somewhere in her before Reuniting to stoop that low. Is that the case?
5. Where did Ashe grow up? Do they live in the same place now?
6. Maybe the heat tonight melted my brain, but how exactly does Ashe feel about this trip? Still unenthusiastic, or coming around to the idea?
1. I've fix their weight. I've also dropped their height.
2a. If given the choice between staying home or going out Ashe will choose to stay home. If they have to go out they will be all smiles and laughter. They'll still be on the side lines, but they aren't going to be in a corner moping or complaining about going out. When their social battery runs out they just go home without bothering anyone. They'll stay out all night dancing if they get the chance. They only stay an hour at dinner parties or things like frat parties.
2b. I never said anything about Ashe hating themselves. I said they wouldn't wish themselves on another person. There is a difference and I will stand by that. Just because they like themselves doesn't mean they think they would make a good partner. They like everything to be just right to the point of perfectionism, don't want kids, and should a depressive episode strike it's not pretty at all. Ashe is self-confident enough to try and become a better person, but doesn't see why they should subject themselves to other person while on their journey.
Besides there may be a subconscious fear that they will turn out like their mother and abandon their loved ones just because they can.
3. That is a very good question. I hadn't thought about it. A friend introduced them to it. Ashe likes it because they can use their dancing skill It's a subscriber based game. The more people that watch your channel the more you get paid. It's not much. The real money is in playing and winning PvP matches.. Watchers will place bets on who is going to win, and if you win you get a percentage of the bets. Plus there is prize money. Ashe also makes more money when Noble_Dancer appears in ads both for Gamer's Nightmare and other product ads. Noble_Dancer is extremely popular, because they way they move is so unique. It's not just one style of dance, and watchers like trying to figure out what style they are going to use next.
4. It wasn't Navy. It was Margret. Navy was so desperate not to lose her soulmate once she had them that it was easy for Margret to convince Navy to leave. Margret thought they were leaving Ashe to die. Navy had complete faith that Gregory would break the window. Margret is an ex-drug lord, and needed to run from people tracking her down. Ashe doesn't know this. That's why it's not in the bio. I can put it in the bio if you would like.
5. Some city on the south coast of the United States. They have been there their whole lives in the same penthouse apartment with their dad. I'm not too sure what city. Will that be okay? I just know Ashe grew up going to the beach often.
6. They are excited for the chance to visit someplace new. They aren't really going to Reunite. Ashe just wants a chance to explore the mountains, which they have never even seen before, and the rest of where they are going to be. They are also excited about their first plane ride.
I hope this answers your questions. If it doesn't just let me know and I will be happy to try and clarify.
According to his online profile on his agency's website, Sung-il's approximately 6'1 tall--ask his doctor, however, and she'll say he's actually half an inch shorter. At 157 pounds, he's rather light for his height, possessing a slim build and graceful silhouette. Partly as a result of his job and partly due to his own interest in fashion, Sung-il chooses his daily ensemble with great care. Impeccably dressed even when he's only had three hours of sleep and still has an exam to take and a modeling gig to attend right after, he's rarely ever caught looking sloppy.
Sung-il typically wears contacts, but he does sometimes wear glasses, usually when he's just woken up or studying. He has a small beauty mark under his left eye and his black hair is currently dyed brown. Although the thought of covering up his Fragmented mark has occurred to him, Sung-il ultimately decided against getting a tattoo, but did eventually get his earlobes pierced. Having accumulating quite the collection of accessories over the years, he's fond of wearing a variety of rings, watches, and earrings.
Personality:
At first glance, Sung-il might come off a bit intimidating, particularly if he happens to be frowning. Fear not, however, because he's most likely simply thinking about what to get for lunch. People might hesitate to approach him, but once they do, they'll quickly realize he's about as frightening as a puppy-- especially since he's all bright smiles and bubbly laughter, with a tendency of bursting out into a fit of giggles when he's nervous.
Despite somehow acquiring a reputation among peers who've had the chance to speak to him, Sung-il is anything but a flirt. Possessing an affectionate and playful disposition, it's easy to mistake his intentions, but he truly doesn't have any underlying motivations besides being friendly when he gives out a compliment without a second thought.
Determined not to have regrets, Sung-il is the sort of person to take a step forward with absolute certainty, even when he's venturing into completely foreign territory. Some might describe him as persistent while others call him stubborn, but once he's made up his mind, he rarely changes it. As a result, he will rarely back down in argument if he believes he's right, which occasionally gets him in trouble.
Biography:
Somewhere in Seoul, South Korea, the man and woman who Sung-il would eventually come to know as his parents introduced themselves and almost immediately clicked. Having met at Sung-il's age, his mother and father were both fresh out of college and desperately broke with countless shared dreams of traveling the world and starting their own fashion brand. When they finally did manage to accomplish their second goal, it hadn't been easy. His mother taking almost every shift she could as a waitress with his father doing various odd jobs, the young couple eventually saved enough money to start an online shop.
Though they'd been able to make a small living, it wasn't until several bad business deals and almost a decade later did they eventually manage to turn their humble project into something more. With an extraordinary amount of effort and equally as much luck, after an exceptionally fortuitous turn of events, their brand blew up, garnering attention not just in their own country, but internationally as well. Rapidly expanding into other fashion capitals such as Paris and Milan, they were able to not only reach their goal of running a incredibly successful company, but also traveled frequently, both for business and vacation. Having fallen in love with France, the couple eventually moved to Marseilles, where they married and shortly after, Sung-il was born.
Growing up with two loving parents and generally living comfortably, Sung-il had a relatively happy childhood and an adolescence that passed by rather smoothly, save for a few bumps here and there. Throughout high school, he had no shortages of friends and even had a few relationships despite his Fragmented status.
When he was seventeen, his mother introduced him to a friend of hers who’d immediately taken a liking to his looks and scouted him for his modeling agency. Though he’d initially wanted to reject the offer, he decided to give it a try at his mother’s encouragement. Since then, he’s been modeling part-time, having taken a liking to it ever since his first runway. After high school, he attended his dream university and once he'd gotten a degree in mathematics, continued onto graduate school for his masters.
All in all, Sung-il's had little reason to feel unhappy—and yet, try as he might, he can’t ignore the constant ache in his heart and feeling of longing for an unknown person. Although he’ll feign nonchalance when asked about being Fragmented, a part of him secretly resents the mark on his wrist, wishing it could be erased.
The resentment mainly stems from feelings of helplessness and vulnerability. Like his parents, Sung-il’s a romantic and hopes that he can someday also have the sort of unbreakable bond that they have, but the idea of being unable to live both mentally and physically without his soulmate frightens him so terribly to the point where he’d rather he didn’t have the mark at all. He does want to find his soulmate, but feels pressured by the fact that he has no choice and absolutely has to find his other half or suffer a lonely existence as someone Lost.
Underneath the resentment, however, is another part of him even more deeply buried that hopes he’ll someday find his soulmate. Though he was surprised to receive the invitation from the twins, Sung-il gladly accepted it, eager for the chance to meet other Fragmented people.
Other: ★ His color code is #FEC374. • Sung-il is vegetarian. • He has a male cat named Noel. • He's fluent in French and Korean. While he's only able to hold short conversations in English, he still tries his best to communicate without a translator in an effort to improve. • The name of his parents’ fashion brand is “C.M.E. by Ji & Woo”, which stands for 처음 만났어요 (cheoeum mannass-eoyo) meaning, “I met you for the first time”, as a sort of nod to his parents’ first memories of meeting each other and falling in love since they’re sappy like that. Ji comes from his mother’s name, Ji-hye and Woo comes from his father’s name, Woo-hyun.
@blubirb Oooh, very nice! I assume he just finished his first year of his master's study? Also, what's the name of his parents' fashion brand? Finally, what does he think of the letter and the trip? What's the thing that pushed him to pursue his soulmate despite resenting being Fragmented?
I don't really have much else to say XD Well done! I really like him!
Was there a reason that Navy didn't shoot off a text to Greg to pick Ashe up instead of letting him find them? After all, it would be hard to predict when he'd break that window, and babies can't go without food for very long. You don't have to put this information in your bio, it's just my curiosity.
I'll admit I don't know a ton about the geography of the southern States, haha. I suppose I don't need a specific city, but knowing the state at least would help, if you don't mind.
I suppose I have to ask, if Ashe would rather stay home than go out, then why dance the night away? Why not just dance at home, where they don't need to maneuver throngs of drunk people at dance clubs?
Margret was in a rush. She knew Navy would try to call Gregory. It took Gregory two days to find where she had hiden the phones in an air vent. Margret is ... not a nice person, devoted to Navy, but that's just about it.
Corpus Christi Texas
Because they like to show off and dancing the one thing they're good at. If I said Ashe was an exrroverted introvert would that help?
Appearance: Lera doesn't have too much of her original human body left with her, with her right arm (Just mirror the picture) and both legs being cybernetic in nature. Her right arm is made with a rough and ready nature to it, good enough to be of service and make her life comfortable, but nothing beyond that. Her legs are of a similar nature, although they are slightly mismatched in design, with the left being smoother than the more angled nature of the right.
The rest of her body is left with the scars of the conflict too, with many old cuts or faded burns showing through the muscles on her rather pale skin. Her hair is mess of faded auburn strands, which she allows to just do whatever it wants. Cold brown eyes. Height: 5'11 " Weight: 172lbs
Personality: Scarred would be an easy way of describing Valeryia, the girl having gone through so much for her age. She has a rather sour outlook on life, seeing the worst out of most possible situations, yet despite this she is determined to keep on living pretty much fueled by spite.
She’s become twitchy and nervous and tends to place herself on the edge of any room she enters, only really feeling safe if she’s got solid ground against back. She can be extremely slow to trust, especially in many situations where there isn’t a clear-cut business deal and she can’t understand someone's motives. In fact she has a general trouble in understanding others, never really having grasped the subtleties which go into a lot of that in her time serving as a young soldier.
Lera can be extremely possessive sometimes, often baulking at the idea of letting anyone touch her things, even if there’s not much to protect. However when it comes to decision making she will often defer to whatever higher authority there is for her set of “orders”. Having spent so much of her life operating strictly on commands she now finds herself in an almost need for a structure to properly exist for her to function.
Biography: Valeryia grew up in eastern Ukraine, during the Donbass conflict with her parents serving as stringent separatists. Extremely early in her life, around the age of 3 the house they were living in was struck by mortar fire, severely disabling her. Afterwards she was found by more pro-sepratist militants and only saved and patched up on the persuasion of her parents, being given cybernetic limbs to account for her lost ones.
After a while of being trained with weapons till she was around 10 in a fight her parents were killed. In a spur of the moment desire for revenge she decided to enlist in sepratist paramilitary forces. There she served alongside other young soldiers for the next seven years, dancing with death several times, although rarely engaging in direct firefights with government soldiers.
During that time the others with her formed a relatively tight bond, one which came to an end when a frag grenade took out many of her comrades. - This mentally was the final straw of the conflict for her. She'd managed to get no revenge and only opened herself to horrors on a daily basis. Now the remaining people she cared about were gone too.
In the end she was pulled from the rubble after a ceasefire by workers from an international organization and taken away from the conflict to germany. It was during this time that she actually got a rudimentary education, the workers wanting to try and ensure that after she left their refugee camp she could have a chance at achieving as normal a life as she could.
Four years later and she has finally begun training as an engineer, mainly as a form of rehabilitation as a former solider to help her war-torn homeland. Although she is hoping to become experienced enough to work with cybernetics, especially in repair for people like herself.
Other: ★ code is D2691E
In her years of active service she has 5 confirmed kills and 12 unconfirmed, she only saw the face of one of the people she killed but their face still haunts her to this day. She occasionally tries to make up stories about him to make herself feel better, it never works.
Despite nights with almost constant bad sleep, she refuses to take drugs to make herself feel better.
Will bandage her cybernetic limbs up/ put a plaster on them when she scuffs them.
Doesn't know she's a fragmented, the little differences with her compared to those around her being chalked up to post combat trauma.
Likes to keep her hair long and messy after years of having to crop it very short.
