Costumed Personality: While the bleed between the two is incredibly heavy, the now-persona of Harley Quinn is an agent of chaos and freedom. There never was a goal to complete with her actions, no grand mission to carry out. She did as she pleased, knowing that their reality was barely a speck in human history, and most likely completely dismissable in the timeline of the universe. But now, now she had a goal. Helping people by whatever means were available. Nothing mattered, so who cared if her means were silly, or sometimes barbaric?
Civilian Personality: Harleen is a woman who jumped over the edge of sanity, drowned in the abyss of madness, and climbed back up. She understands how fragile a mind can be, how fragile her mind is, and she is called by a desire to help those who were in her situation, or could be wandering that way. Though she wasn't the stiff that she used to be, Harley does her best to maintain her professional appearance while on her official job. Sometimes, however, there could always be a prank waiting for her next patient.
Super abilities:
-Skills: genius level intellect - How do you think she and the joker made such crazy contraptions and the legendarily dangerous Joker Gas? Leave some schmuck to it? Of course not! Harley posses a vast array of knowledge in many subjects, most most importantly in her very own major...
Psychiatry specialist - Having a doctorate in the subject, Harley knows what she's talking about when she talks to people. Sometimes she can't help but psycho-analyze them, but it's only to get a better understanding of how to help the people around her and the world at large.
Expert Gymnast - Harley, before choosing to be a psychiatry major, planned on being a gymnast. This skill had lent itself heavily to her criminal operations back in the day, being a hard target for even some metahumans to hit. She can sneak, climb, and tumble with the absolute best
-Powers: Toxic Immunity - Being tossed into a vat of chemicals will not always enhance your abilities tenfold, but when they do, they'll also make you impervious to any future toxins or chemicals that may find their way into your system. Unless you die from all the chemicals, then none of this happens. Fortunately for Harley Quinn, she has the honor of being one of the few people on earth who can withstand Joker Gas and even Poison Ivy herself!
-Vulnerabilities: Mental Instability - Though Harley has dragged herself back to sanity, and even almost to normalcy, there is always the underlying insanity inside her that is waiting to break out. Harley puts in a lot of effort to ensure that she doesn't lose it, but she is aware of the fact that it could, and possibly will happen again.
-Gadgets: Cell-phone: This is a doctor! Do you really think She would be loaded with gadgets and tools like a certain someone in Gotham? What she lacks in gadgets, she makes up for by having a large catalog of villain and criminal dossiers, which she updates regularly with any new villains who may step onto the scene
-Weapons: Mallet - Harley always wanted to name it, but it always ended up sounding cornier than she would have liked. Her oversized mallet requires little skill to use, but it's size and weigh certainly pack a punch against goons and most people.
Odds and Ends - A pair of revolvers that she has kept with her since her villain days, Odds and Ends are highly modified and highly dangerous. Harley is equipped with several trick and joke rounds for many occasions, such as blanks with confetti, blanks with a little "Bang!" banner inside, ballistic rounds, and real gun bullets
Civilian Occupation: Clinical Therapist and villain rehabilitator
Biography---------
Character History/Origin: Doctor Harleen Quinzel is a woman with a a rather well known history. Born in Brooklyn and moved to Gotham at a young age, her heavy accent always made her stick out. Despite this, she always fell into the background, and never had many friends during her schoolyard years.
As she grew older, she took an interest in psychology, which she excelled at. Majoring and getting a doctorate in short time, Harleen knew that she was going to help the world with all of this talk of superheroes, villains, and metahumans.
She got a job at Arkham Asylum, a prison for the criminally insane and supervillains. Her goal was to assess their mental stability, and hopefully rehabilitate them so they could one day rejoin society. It didn't exactly pan out. Her time as Arkham's lead psychiatrist was short lived. The Joker, the clown prince of crime, had been in and out of Arkham many times now, but only now did he have the pleasure of meeting Dr. Quinzel. While she was supposed to be putting her doctorate to use, the tables were turned without her ever realizing it. The Joker was a genius in his own right, a master manipulator of the highest calibur. In short time, he had turned Doctor Harleen Quinzel into Harley Quinn. What she believed was him freeing her mind from the constraints of society was simply him turning her to madness.
Their shared crime spree went on for many years. Nothing mattered, the world was an all you can eat buffet as long as you didn't get caught. Well, even after you were caught, just give it time and you'd be right back to it. She had her puddin', they had the world, and everything was right.
Until it wasn't.
Maybe all along Harley knew that something wasn't right, that the Joker was just manipulating her. Maybe it wasn't all him, that maybe she had tricked herself into thinking that he wanted her. That everything he said to her was simply a lie. She didn't know. She was so far gone that she didn't know truth from lie anymore.
Grimm had cornered her one night, separated her from the Joker. She was forced to face the music, to admit to the world, to herself, that the Joker was only using her. She never went back after that. She checked herself into Arkham, and spent her time finally coming to terms with the atrocities she had committed in the name of a horrible, warped love.
The Joker had attempted to break her out, giving her some line about how he needed her. Oh, he needed her, all right. She helped plan his heists, she made him gadgets, she was basically the first in command to a mad puppet of a convict. He needed her foot up his ass.
With a respectful kick to the windpipe, she declined his offer to leave Arkham. But The Joker never took no for an answer. She was knocked unconscious, dragged out of the psych ward, and that was the final straw.
What came next was a blood bath of rage and tears. Harley had no idea where The Joker was, but all of his goons made like Picasso and decorated the walls with a personal touch. She herself didn't really know what happened that night, but she swore that she would never let him put his hands on her as long as she lived. Back to Arkham she went, to make good on her promise to Grimm.
It took a few years, some blood, sweat, tears, headlight fluid, and elbow grease, but she finally got out. Maybe it was a little manipulating of the board, maybe it was honest to goodness kindness from some greater power, but she finally walked out those gates without rifles being aimed at her.
After leaving Arkham and discovering that she was somehow still a registered doctor, Harley put her best foot forward and went right back into Arkham. She still had a job to do, and she was going to do it. She had more experience than some could ever live through, which she believed made her the perfect person to help other criminals get out on a good note.
But...
She also knew that some people, especially purple coated scumbags, needed some help being put six feet under. She was back on the streets as a crime fighter, this time around, punishing the people who refused her psychiatric services! She made no attempt at trying to hide both sides of her life, both as a therapist/psychiatrist and a rampant crime-fighter. Everyone knew who she was, what she had done, there was no reason to hide it. If anything, she believed it made a better selling point! Harley Quinzel, former supervillain, now your local therapist!
