Risa landed on to the ground in front of Kyran's home, her once wet hair mostly dried from the wind. She waited for Elthrael before moving to the door. Once there, she turned around and looked at him. "Elthrael, I am just going to go tell them. Please wait here." She told him softly and then moved inside. Risa was careful to tip-toe, aware that her friends or Kyran's parents may be sleeping. They'd all be so surprised to see Elthrael. It was a miracle he was okay.

There was a part of her that felt kind of skeptical, however. She was trying to ignore it as it seemed unkind to consider it. It was best that she always thought positively and saw the good in others. There was no need to look for evil.

Still... Something felt off. Where had Elthrael come from so suddenly? Had he really distracted the others for them to escape and that was why he had been absent? But then, why did Jean-Luc get killed? Elthrael hadn't seemed to mention that. Risa shrugged it all off. It was all in her head and she was being paranoid. Besides, Elsea had trusted Elthrael and she was very intelligent. There was no reason to distrust Elsea.

She moved up the stairs, finding Kyran and Elsea speaking. It was obvious she barely noticed them discussing her. "Hey guys! I'm back. I brought a surprise!"She gestured for them to follow with a giddy smile, running down the stairs and out to Elthrael once again, hovering over the ground with fluttering wings to be on his level. She threw one arm around Elthrael and the other up in the air ceremoniously, "Taadaa!"

Elthrael Vol'Kerno

The moth fairy exhaled slightly on hearing Risa's plea for him to stay put. He wasn't fond of people ordering him about, but this was a plea, and that was something he could indeed work with. He thus stayed put and waited for Elsea to return, a part of him was thrilled in being reunited with the group, despite his disappointment in Elsea when she had joined the rest down in that dark hole in the ground.

The look on the demi-human's face, how he would treasure it. He knew the type of person he was, the overly protective and aggressive one. He felt that he could lure him to just where he would want him, his emotions would surely be plain for all to see. That's at least the impression he had gotten from their meeting. Then there were that blonde fairy girl aswell, unless she had died. She too intrigued him, perhaps she had been the driving force behind what they did in that forest. After having been in the building for a brief time, Risa came back outside and flew up to him as he hovered midair. He had recalled how fiery tempered the fox boy and the armored human had been on their first meeting, abit of a distance could be good.

The fairy girl was also holding unto him, this was something he highly approved of. Not only did he like her presence and liveliness, but also that being so close could surely anger the fox boy, and this was priceless. He almost felt that he could taste the sweet irritation in the air. Knowing how that one had reacted on the kiss he had given to the girl.

"My my, well look at that. You made it. Well done. I happened to come across this young lady this morning, how good that I did. This is a dangerous place to stride about alone, especially if your protector is... ill equipped." He said in a soft tone, and looked in a smug manner for Kyran, his eyes clearly displaying amusement, then the dark winged fairy gave a soft smile towards Elsea and Dionaea, would they have headed outdoors after Risa. "My pleasure to see you again."

Time: Morning
Location: Between the River Fairy Kingdom and Roshmi City
Interaction with: @Tae - Azriel
The Week

Umber had been displeased in making a detour from his hunt of the human known as Elsea. Every time he looked upon Jack had caused a slight bitterness, but the demon knew well that Aklenroth's toys came before his own. He was glad and appreciative to have Azriel as his company as always. Elsea was a new flame, but Azriel's inferno withstood the test of time. The demon rarely pondered it, but he wondered if she would ever leave him like the others before her had. During the Amora flight back to Daka Island, Jack and Azriel acquainted themselves a bit more. There were few that had held their taste for sadism, and Umber could not deny that it was poetic when the man spoke of his pleasures in killing another being.

However, the man was mentally broken, therefore there was nothing Umber could change for the worse. Once Aklenroth's gift was delivered, he and Azriel returned to the River Kingdom to pick up the trail of their lost prey as well as take the opportunity to play with some more temporary playthings. Fairies… they were Umber's favorite. Many were so pure-hearted and kind. To hear their screams disturb the very nature they commanded was… beautiful to the demon. The creatures of the forest scurried and shivered at the torture of their wispy winged neighbors and friends.

Umber took his time. It was almost as if he knew his prey wouldn't get very far. Elsea… Her name almost taunted his thoughts. She was like an eternal itch that he could not reached. The long lost feeling of impatience filled him to the point that he shared his new obsession with Azriel while he viciously tore strips of a fairy woman's wings.

"If only you could see it, Azriel… if only you could feel it! Her feelings… anguish, betrayal, rage, fear, passion. All of it. I want it all." Umber declared fiendishly. Sharing his desire so freely helped quite a bit, or maybe it was the fact that the two traveled closer and closer to Roshmi City with each minor village the two had their fun in. At first it had been to interrogate, but now it had regressed into plain fun and pleasure.

The Present
"...or would you call this a gift?"

"Have you heard?" Umber faced the most senior fairy in the village who was levitated high enough to be at eye level with the nine foot demon.

The fairy was mute from his fear. Tears streamed from his eyes as he lost hope for himself and his village. The two wraiths had entered his small quiet village and immediately rounded up its occupants. There was no explanation, just questions about about a group of rebels that none of them recollected.

"I created a new species of fairy… I created them, right here in this very forest. Have you seen them?" Umber said with faked excitement, imitating a scholar that had discovered some lost secret of the world. If the monster could smile… The past several days had been filled with bloodshed and torture, but the demon felt he could do this for many lifetimes. "You must know of them… elder. They are simply… beautiful." Umber turned to the many fairies bound and scattered about the grass; an audience of hostages. Umber made sure all of the fairies could see the illusion of the rebels as he remembered from Xenelith's sketches and the faint images he could pick up from Xenelith's drive to pursue them as well as other things Umber tended to appreciate. The fox's form being the most distinct amused Umber. What had this fox done to the dark elf commander?

All of the fairies in this village initially claimed to not have seen the members of the illusion in front of them. Once tortured many falsely admitted and paid for their lies with slow deaths. The second round of torturing only had honest answers. Even if they truly did not know anything, Umber would at least enjoy the time spent breaking them. His attention went back to the elder.

"If you do not know… then I will show you… and I will show your flock. Oh and…" Umber turned back to the bound villagers. "...it would be wise to remain… calm. Azriel will silence those who cannot do so themselves. Now, let's begin." Umber circled around the fairy elder who almost whimpered before stopping behind him. The demon's large lower hands grabbed the fairy's arms at his sides and then peaked his head out from behind the fairy elder to see his audience. Their faces held dread. Some knew what was coming, while others just knew it would be something that would forever haunt them. Rrrip! The tearing of the fairy elder's right wing made a disturbing fleshy sound as it was viciously torn off of his back. He screamed in horror more than he did for the pain inflicted upon him. "Mmmmm…." Umber tore the left wing off as the fairy elder continued to scream almost sounding as if he was some feral creature being torn apart by the razor sharp teeth of its predator. The fairy's screaming went on for a few more seconds before it died down into whimpering and moaning. Umber released his telekinetic hold on the now wingless fairy, letting his body drop in the ground next to his bloody wings. "Forest, Winter, Dark, and now the Wingless… Two for four... Now who to choose next…"

Time: Morning.
Location: Near Roshmi -> Roshmi
Interactions: Cadence @Helo, Sakura @baraquiel

In the previous week...

After succesfully fleeing from the dracolich with the help of the mysterious Sakura, Cade, Ayita and their new companion made their way to Roshmi, in order to acquire weapons for Ayita and other resources they currently lacked. While the trip took a few days, they spent those knowing more about each other and deciding what they would do in the forseeable future. While Sakura's origins and who exactly is she is still a mystery for both Cade and Ayita, her easygoing and extroverted character not only proved to be a breath of fresh air to the group, but made her a pleasant company to have around. Despite the lack of information about her, her previous actions put her above any suspicion, as she had actively fought against Aklenroth's dracolich and helped both Cade and Ayita to escape from an otherwise grim situation.

Almost arriving in Roshmi, the group saw themselves on the main road leading to Roshmi, it would be just a bit more until they got to the town's entrance. Since entering the city with a human would be foolish, they found a way to disguise Ayita as an Elf by making her a set of pointed ears. Even though her skin color was different from normal Elves, her light clothes, light steps and overal build made the disguise somewhat convincing.

"I'm sorry to be a bother again, and thank you for accompanying us, Sakura. You've been a huge help for us. We should be fine after getting some weapons. Anything else we might need?" Ayita said, thanking Sakura before making a question, looking to the group.

"Anything I should know about Roshmi? You seemed to be really excited when you spoke about it the first time we met, didn't you, Cade?" Ayita asked, remembering what Cade had mentioned about the city.

Judging by his words, Roshmi was truly a sight to behold. Since it would be basically the first big city Ayita would enter since she arrived on that world, she couldn't help but be a bit curious and excited. She had heard a few more stories about Roshmi and that world while they were on their way to Roshmi, making her look forward entering the city.

"It is my first time entering a city since I got to this world. Are you sure this disguise will be able to fool people? I do understand why you both said that it would be the most likely to work, but my skin color is still a bit off from what an Elf was supposed to have, right?" Ayita asked, looking to Cade and Sakura.

She was grateful that they were able to somehow make a pair of elf ears for her that were frighteningly real, but the matter about her skin still worried her. Not only that, but if they found an Elf in the city, it should be a bit harder to fool them too...

Time: Morning
Location: Morteum (The Necropolis).
Interactions: Darius and Skar @FunnyGuy, Aklenroth @Alivefalling

Even though Darius was trying to calm Myra down, it didn't help much. The very atmosphere seemed to be heavy around that castle and Myra herself was still very agitated. Something told her that it was a very bad idea being there. Despite the fact that both Skar and Darius himself seemed to recognize the place was as dangerous as Aklenroth himself, they still were decided in meeting with him. As Darius continued trying to calm her down, mentioning hide and seek, obviously referring to her camouflage ability, Myra nodded to him, in a clear sign that she understood what he was trying to see. Still, the signs of her agitation were still there when she disappeared from sight, using her ability.

Standing a few steps away from Darius and Skar, Myra watched silently as Darius and Skar approached the armored undead who were guarding the bridge. Even though Myra had to hold herself to not attack, hiss or just run away, she still followed them, going against what her instinct was telling her to do. The second the guards crossed their spears in front of Skar and Darius though, Myra almost pounced on them, stopping herself on the last second when she realized that Darius and Skar were still fine.

Myra kept silently watching, a few steps behind Skar and Darius as the first was holding herself from engaging the undead, much like Myra herself was and Darius was shouting, clearly irritated that the guards didn't let him go in. It wasn't until a weird elf himself came down from his castle, floating until he stood just in front of them that Myra couldn't hold herself anymore. Even though he appeared to be quite polite and not hostile, Myra still felt cornered and threatened just by being nearby Aklenroth's castle. While it was clear that the elf wasn't anything like the image she saw in the sky a few days ago, she was still on edge due to the place they were. Watching every movement made by the strange elf, she was ready to pounce on him if anything strange happened.

Summary of the week

The week for Jack was full of enjoyment. He did not see his training as hard as he loved to be able to learn his new powers and practice his killing on undead supplied by Aklenroth. Jack learned how to create small tornados and cut the air with the use of his blades, using his abilities with the expansive knowledge of magic from Aklenroth. He got to know Umber, Azriel and O'ner on his trip to Daka Island and was amazed at the Amora and strange technology that this world had. Jack had learned about the species and some of the history and beliefs of Avalia told by Aklenroth. O'Ner had also provided some tests and small missions to prove his worth and on the last day of the week, Jack was awarded a scythe to congratulate him of his achievements in training.

Present

Jack stood in the training field in front of a large group of thirty undead preparing his scythe. "Come at me! you rotten bloody playthings!" Jack shouted excitedly, laughing twistedly as they charged towards him. He began to swing his scythe towards the oncoming corpses sending a wave of thin air going through five of them.

"Now, my next move!" Jack began to spin rapidly, causing a mini-tornado around himself drawing in the undead that were left. He jumped into the air while swinging his scythe at the remaining twenty-five undead soldiers while using the bodies to jump around the inside of the tornado. When Jack was sure they were dead, he stopped the tornado and dropped to the ground along with a mass of body parts which fell in a rain-like fashion around him.

"Oh! The joys of murder and carnage!" He said aloud smiling. "I appear to be done here..." He added, placing the bloody scythe over his shoulder. 'I guess I will see what lord Aklenroth is up to.' He thought to himself before heading back inside the necropolis to look for him.

Time: Morning
Location:Roshmi City
Interactions: Ayita @13org, Sakura @baraquiel

Cade enjoyed his time in the forest with Ayita and Sakura, with another ally amongst them things seemed more hopeful. Sakura was a bit guarded; it was no stretch to say he knew Ayita much better than he knew their new friend, but her bravery in battle had earned his trust. He was happy to have someone around who could explain magic, as Cade had no idea how it worked, how to control it, or how to train one’s self in magic. He was much better acquainted with practical skills, fighting with weapons, hunting, tracking, but these were all things Ayita seemed to need no help in. When they trained with magic, Cade either napped or went out hunting, preferring to keep watch at night incase the dragon came back. He did not trust that they had seen the last of the beast, as long as it remained unvanquished it was a threat.

During the nights around a fire, he finally got to hear some of Ayita’s stories from her home. He would sit completely enchanted by the stories she had from another world. He, in turn, shared legends of Avalia, tales of brave warriors, many of which featured humans, thinking that it would inspire her to know what her kind were capable of here. Their journey to Roshmi was a safe one, and Cade was thankful for a calm before the storm that was sure to come. Although he knew their quest would not be an easy one, he felt Avalia herself was guiding them towards allies, and Avalia herself would continue to aid them.

Cade though about her question regarding Roshmi and what to expect there. “It is a beautiful city, full of all sorts of creatures, one of the largest cities as well. For anyone to really notice you out of place I would imagine you would have to draw a great deal of attention to yourself. Most folks are concerned with their own troubles, they have neither the time nor the care to notice every random stranger. Avoid the dark elves if you can, but do not go out of your way to do so. Simply carry yourself as if you belong here.” Cade was confident the disguise would work, and although there was certainly risk in traveling to the city it was easier to remain unnoticed in a large crowd.

“Eventually not even the forests will be safe, this seems our best chance at finding more allies, and there are others out there who share our cause. I believe the spirit of Avalia herself has guided us together, and that she will protect us. But if it comes down to it, Ayita Ani’ Wa’ya you have my word that I will fight by your side until my last breath. I cannot promise we will be safe though, so if you wish to find another way, I will honor that.” Cade said, allowing the human to decided whether or not she wished to proceed to the city. Ayita had not been granted a choice whether or not she came to Avalia but he could at least allow her to have a hand in deciding her fate from here on. He then looked to Sakura, their new and powerful ally. “What do you think, she who faced down the dracolich?” He asked curious to hear her thoughts on the situation.

Time: Morning
Location: Roshmi City
Interactions: Torvi @Tae

Bowyn was more than comfortable hiking through the forests and hunting and forging for food. Much to his own surprise he found Torvi easier to get along with than he had first expected. She asked him no questions about his connections to the woman who had raised her sister from the dead, and he was thankful for this small kindness. He, in turn, did not attempt to pry into her personal life, knowing how little he wanted to talk about those he’d lost, so he assumed the same was true for her. He did, however, share all he knew of Avalia; its various races, villages, and which plants were safe to eat. Of course, this information was not objective, Bowyn’s explanations were often coated in his own personal biases; elves were arrogant, forest fae were frivolous creatures, orcs lacked intelligence. Demons, dragons, and dark elves were evil and dangerous, these were creatures that served Aklenroth. Doromos, although close to them, seemed too dangerous a direction to go, too close to the undead, so they continued south towards the collection of moon elf villages. He left out the option of going into winter fairy territory, not wishing to return home and the added eyes of those who once knew him seemed unwise anyhow.

On their way to the moon elf lands Torvi had been generous enough to gift Boreas one of the shiny adornments she wore in her hair. After the trying experience of their encounter with the undead it had been nice to watch the happy bird hopping around with a shiny treasure in his beak. He had helped slipped the shiny trinket over Boreas’s foot, after assuring Boreas that he would not steal his new treasure, and the bird now wore it as bracelet. Then next day Boreas gifted Torvi a squirrel he had caught as a thank you. The fact that Boreas was so taken with Torvi made it easier for him to trust her; he recognized a similar sadness in her and while he wasn’t ready to consider anyone but Boreas a friend, a comrade with a similar goal was a good start. He helped to train her in the ways of magic, advising that while tapping into intense emotions like rage or fear would yield great power, they would make the magic wild and difficult to control. It was one’s gentler emotions that would aid in the ability to control one’s magic. He wasn’t ever sure how much of his advice she listened to; she was far more headstrong than the majority of fairies he’d known. His attempts at compliments were often unintentionally snide, he was more than a bit out of practice with social interactions. Her retorts were often equally snide which Bowyn found amusing, and he was gratefully that he did not feel tension between them. Their situation was dire enough after all.

The moon elf territory had proven to be a good choice; here Bowyn attempted to teach the human how to steal. Snatching up small items to resell for coin was simple, but stealing new clothes was more of a challenge. Although Torvi’s skills in theft and stealth were lacking, in distracting merchants she was more than adept. Bowyn managed to get the things they needed, paying for the occasional item as they shopped so as not to arouse suspicion, and finally pick pocketing some tickets aboard an Amora to get as far south, and far away from the undead horde, as they could; Roshmi City. He had never ridden in an Amora before and was even a little excited about such a thing, normally it something only those with a bit of wealth go to do. He had stolen new clothes for himself as well, as a fairy dressed as a forest urchin would no doubt add suspicion on the ride there. Then, Bowyn found himself in a situation he’d never thought he’d be in, starring down from the window of an Amora at the sights of Avalia as it travelled through the sky.

It had taken a week of travel but finally they were in Roshmi, the largest southern city, and hopefully one that would provide the most protection from Aklenroth and his forces. He was completely exhausted as they walked the streets of Roshmi, a combination of difficulty adjusting to the climate of the south and lack of descent sleep, since encountering Aeryn in the woods, Bowyns nights had been plagued by nightmares. The heat of the southern sun as more than uncomfortable for Bowyn, used to the harsh winters and frosty summers of his home and he wasn’t used to seeing the sun shine so brightly. The first thing he did in Roshmi was buy a pair of shaded glasses, too distracted by the heat and brightness of this city to even try and steal them. The sun had given him a headache and the suggestion that they find somewhere to stay in the city was a welcomed one. He hoped the room would be dark and quiet.

“Welcome to Roshmi City, apparently living here is like living inside of a fire pit.” He said placing the shaded glasses over his eyes and feeling some relief from the sunshine. He watched the crowded streets, bustling with various types from all over Avalia. In such a large city it would be easier to remain anonymous. He glanced over at Torvi, curious to see what she thought of the city which must certainly be strange to her. ”Well if we’ve going to be staying in the city of sunshine and roses I am going to need a drink, or maybe a few.” Bowyn added looking around for decent tavern.

Boreas, perched upon Bowyn’s shoulder, his normal resting spot, shook his head. “Bad idea, you should keep your wits about you.“ The merlin advised.

“Boreas thinks that we should not have a drink, Torvi would you like to break the tie?” Bowyn said, now used to translating the bird for the human. He felt more than confidant that the human would vote his way, she out drank the moon elves at the last tavern they’d visited.

“Tell her it is foolish.” Boreas insisted.

“Boreas says it would be very foolish.” Bowyn added in a serious and disapproving tone. Then the fairy glanced back at the bird. “But everything we are doing is foolish, and what better place to find other foolish folks.” Bowyn suggested.

Location: Morteum, Daka Island
Interaction with: Myra @13org, Aklenroth @Alivefalling

Skar remained ready with her weapon with her attention forward, even though she wanted to chastise Darius for just yelling at the most powerful being in Avalia or the “final boss” as he had mentioned frequently. The orc glared back and forth between the two undead guards, sizing them up before she noticed a blonde elf gracefully descend down to greet the two. While Darius' eyes widened in awe at the sight, Skar was simply confused. Darius let the swirling water in his palms splat onto the bridge as he let his guard down at the majestic sight.

An elf!
An elf?

Once the undead guards lowered their spears, Skar took one more good look at them before stepping forward, her sword tightly gripped in her hand as she found the situation to be very out of the norm. Darius looked to the undead guards as she did and followed. He hoped Myra was following but didn't look back as to draw attention to her. He had faith that she would be there, but he couldn't shake off how bothered she was at the bridge. His eyes narrowed at the elf and before Skar could address the light elf stranger, he spoke.

"Epic entrance and all, but we're looking for Aklenroth so I can go home and she can get paid for delivering me here." Darius looked past the elf and to the castle wondering if Aklenroth was inside.

"Human wants to turn in." Skar attempted to explain to light elf figuring he was a servant of Aklenroth. Darius looked to the elf with a raised eyebrow.

"So we follow you, right?" Darius questioned not knowing he was in the presence of lord Aklenroth himself.

Ambience: Trees and lanterns

Week summary

It had taken Ilan a day or two to get used to small amounts of daylight in the rebel hiding place of Ra Monde. The times he ventured outside were few and far between. Multiple reasons made the faun remain underground, sometimes against his will. The rebels advised him not to go outside on his own. He had been seen with two humans already which made them fear for his safety. Ilan wholeheartedly agreed, not being the bravest soul known to man. A protector had been appointed to him, a stern and unforgiving grey monk Mr Alburn who also insisted on him staying safe. Staying safe however in Mr Alburns book didn't simply mean hiding out in Ra Monde. The both of them awoke at the crack of dawn each day to train outside in the surrounding forests. He showed Ilan how to hit moving targets with his slingshot and instilled some much needed life lessons into the young faun.

Ilan found Mr Alburns countenance difficult to stomach at times, his outlook often clashing with his own. Yet there was something there, within their disagreements as opposites in life. Young and old, soft and hard, weak willed and steadfast, they came to a middle ground. Mr Alburn was despite his age not unwilling to learn. Ilan taught him about the subtle strength of kindness, gentleness sometimes without even realizing it.

The faun had taken up his old occupation as an apprentice healer. He wanted to make himself useful to the rebel forces. After they trained he would gather herbs under the watchful eyes of his mentor. The man claimed to have been a healer at the infirmary to win his trust. Ilan however soon found out that wasn't true. He couldn't tell one plant from the next, let alone their healing properties. He didn't make any mention of it. There was no need to attack the man for not telling the truth.

Ilan and Belladonna had the chance to get to know one another. Ilan found her to be kind and a little withdrawn much like himself. At times she was difficult to read or understand. They spend time together in between Ilan's training and healing sessions. Together they cooked up an idea to figure out her natural affinity for one of the four natural elements. Surprisingly it did actually work. It took a few attempts to get it right. They found out Belladonna was connected to water. Ilan tried his best to teach her how to use her magic with his own limited experience. It wasn't easy for either of them. Ilan didn't have any magic of his own, he drew it out from his lyre. Belladonna had to draw the magic from herself. By trial and error they found some techniques which worked out well.

Present time

"Put your back into it boy, don't hold back because I'm old!" Mr Alburn barked at the young faun. Ilan was trying to hit the old monk who was running in between the trees. They were using bundles of weighted fabric, tied together with strings. A piece of clay was added in the centre to add weight. It felt different to stones. Still he was hesitant in using them. Mr Alburn made him aim for his head. He had to forego his lyre and rely more on his slingshot.
Always go for the head...
Everyone could hit a motionless target.

He loaded up his sling and took his time to get a good shot. Ilan ignored the taunting remarks of his mentor, trying to predict where he would go next. The round ball soared through the air, going for the monk. Before it could collide the man snatched it out of the air with impressive dexterity, considering his age.
"Very good Ilan!" He said in rare praise to the faun. If he hadn't stopped it the ball would have definitely hit him square in the head. Near to the temples just like he taught him.

Ilan smiled and moved his focus on the floating lanterns which were moving about in the breeze. Mr Aburn had tied them to the trees below. He had four shots left and there were exactly four lanterns left. Each one would have to be perfect.
No pressure. He thought to himself. Ilan placed another ball into his sling, rotating his wrist to let it gather some momentum.

Devastation.

Destruction.

The words twirled in her head like a wind storm, the flashes of her childhood home burnt to nothing but various pieces of rubble and ash right before her eyes. When Risa had finally told Dionaea about her family she was worried, but it wasn't until she saw the true nature of the situation that she became gut wrenchingly sick. Her brother's bodies lay there in the wreckage, they were burnt but recognizable. The two friends embraced and cried, they had both lost so much in such a little amount of time. Dia dug her fingers into the dirt, searching for anything of sentiment and came back with nothing, "It's all gone..." she sobbed, streaking her cheeks with murky gray tears. With much hesitation, the young fairy was eventually taken away from the scene- dirt and flesh still filling every nail bed.

Roshmi was their next destination, and although hope did seem loss Dionaea was thankful to be surrounded by people that loved and cared about her, as well as new found friend in The Sweet One- or as she now called Elsea. As the group found out more about the woman, they became more intertwined- sharing stories of their past as well as dreams for their futures. The group practiced their fighting as the journey progressed, and even after arriving they continued to work on their craft as well as the less studied ones. "My brother Cypress was excellent at this.." she said, her upper lip quivering as she held back tears. She was on the brink of breaking down several times during the days there, but tried to keep her chin up around her friends.

Laying in bed, a small recluse spider wove a small web between the young fairy's spread fingers. "You're quite the artist Daisy, I'm thankful we found one another again." she whispered as not to disturb her roomate; Elsea. They had been sleeping in a room in Kyran's parents house for a few days now, and just recently she was feeling more upbeat.

"Pleasantly surprised?"

The small spider's voice was alluring, almost as if she wanted you to lean just a bit closer. Dionaea nodded as she watched the spider trickle her way around the digits. It was comforting, a piece of home that she could always take with her. Raising up from a lying position, the young fairy let the blanket fall gently to her lap exposing her nightgown as she reached over to the bedside table and let the spider hop off. The young girl started to pick off the pieces of web as Kyran burst into the room exclaiming that they need to wake up, and now! Pulling the blanket up over her chest, Dionaea's mouth parted in shock. To the left of her Elsea had been taken from slumber in the most unpleasant way, and if looks could kill Kyran would have dropped dead that moment.

Dionaea watched as Elsea got out of bed, inching closer to Kyran. Dia wondered if she should intervene in that moment but knew it was for the best to not. Elsea placed her hand over Kyran's mouth directly and the young fairy couldn't help but huff in a stifled laugh as she told him to shut up. Her eyes pandered over Elsea as she dressed herself- she was right though, Hades would never let anything bad happen to Risa- and even if, Risa wasn't completely helpless.

Reckless, sure- but not helpless.

Dionaea climbed out of bed quickly to dress herself and put on her disguise to blend in with the people and to hide her own identity. "Elsea IS right you know. It's kind of like when you plant something, you can't have them too close or they all won't grow, but if you spread them out just a bit they will blossom." she smiled faintly, as Risa showed herself to the group with nothing but smiles and cheer. Before anyone could even speak she was rushing back down the stairs. "Well Kyran, she's not dead." the girl chuckled, as they made their way back down the stairs- greeted by the fairy they had rubbed elbows with earlier when they had first met Elsea. He spoke to them softly, but the message was loud and clear.

Dionaea nodded saying, "Pleasure is mine." as she shifted her weight from one leg to another.

Kyran hurried downstairs to the entrance of the door only to see Elthrael. 'Great...' He thought to himself, partially ignoring his comments and attempt to anger him. How he had survived was beyond Kyran. He had not seen him when he had looked outside. Though he thought he recalled seeing a strange vine structure, but he had looked so fast he wasn't sure. "So, you managed to survive the large demon, angel demi-human, and dark elf? Would you care to explain this? Also, why was Jean dead if they had seen you they surely would have given chase...?" Kyran began to interrogate the moth fairy. The whole situation just didn't make sense to him. "Also I would like to know how you just happened to appear while Risa was conveniently alone? Had you followed us?" He continued with the questions, beckoning Risa toward him.

Kyran already did not like Elthrael and this strange appearance was too odd. If Kyran had to put it together himself he would think that he had used Jean as a distraction to escape, as it was not the first time he had cowardly ran from a fight to save his own ass. Elthrael's intentions were unclear but when all was said and done he did not trust him in the slightest.

Interaction with: Darius, Skar@FunnyGuy, Myra @13org, and Aklenroth @Alivefalling

"I am who you are looking for." Aklenroth's gaze moved to Myra. He recognized her off the bat, remembering their past together. He could not blame her for her aggression. "In the meantime, Myra you can remove your camouflage and cease your aggressive posture. I am quite surprised you are alive though, and I apologize for our past."

Aklenroth began to explain everything to them. "Orc and Human, your payment will be spoken about once we get inside. If you wish to leave, I will not stop you but, I would appreciate your help if you stayed as the humans have already been causing a lot of damage to our world in this short time. They have started fires, caused earthquakes and storms, and even killed citizens; they do not belong here and throw off the balance of this realm. I did not bring humans here and have strived to keep them out, eventually sacrificing everything to keep the humans from coming through as they receive powers beyond their capacity to control in this realm. The other light elves, my own race, have been trying to use humans to fight in a war they did not choose to be in. I can continue talking about this or show you myself the destruction and chaos they are causing. This world is a danger to them as they are to this world."

It was only when the elf began to talk that Myra understood why she was feeling so cornered and threatened after he appeared. The elf was no one other than Aklenroth himself. She didn't know how or why he took that form, nor the reason for him being apologizing for something, but it was clear to her that he already knew her presence, somehow. Despite that, she still maintained her camouflage and the aggressive posture. She didn't feel safe nor she trusted him at all.
Even though his extensive explanation was quite complicated, Myra understood that for some reason he didn't like humans that much, but what made her even more suspicious was that despite what he said about humans, he told Darius and Skar to stay.

He's Aklenroth? But the guy in the sky last week was definitely a skeleton, but… Same clothes, same crown, and this is definitely his castle. Darius raised both eyebrows at Aklenroth addressing Myra. Darius looked around and couldn't spot her, so he wondered how Aklenroth could. And… How does he know her? Darius took a single step back as he became a bit wary, but he listened. This had been the first real explanation for what was going on that Darius had gotten. His thoughts on elves were already a bit skewed due to his interaction with the orcs of Orc Landing. Simply put, they were assholes.

"Just show me… I'm a visual kinda guy. Plus, I can't pass up on the opportunity to experience some actual magic…" Darius said trying to take the unwanted attention off of Myra. He finally stepped forward while looking to Skar who nodded. She did not fully trust Aklenroth, but they couldn't do much but cooperate. She just hoped Darius and Myra kept themselves composed. Skar kept her eyes on Aklenroth and stepped forward with Darius. For now, they would follow the lord of darkness.

As Aklenroth watched Darius step forward, he reached his hand into his pocket, retrieving a small red crystal. "To start the visualization spell you must crush this in the palm of your hand." Darius would not know but the true use of this crystal would be to summon an amorphous demon capable of possessing and strengthening one's own power as well as allowing the host to do a whole number of things. "I will show you the truth of what humans are truly doing under the will of the elves."

Even though Aklenroth wasn't being openly hostile, Myra's instincts still told her to run away. Unfortunately, it didn't matter how much she tried to convince Skar and Darius to do so, they seemed to have other plans.

As Darius took a few steps forward, Myra reached towards him, grabbing his wrist and gently pulling it, in a clear message for him not to get closer to Aklenroth. The second he extended his hands towards Darius though, Myra immediately let go of Darius’ hand, jumping back in a hostile posture. Even though somehow, Aklenroth was able to see through her camouflage, she still felt a bit more safe by using it so even if it was useless, she didn't drop it.

Darius had turned a bit when feeling Myra’s tug on his wrist. Though he couldn’t see her, he could only imagine she was worried about what was going on. One hand had been reaching for the crystal, while the other was towards Myra from her gentle pull. He looked to Skar who only stared at the crystal intensely. Everything that was unfolding was far beyond her understanding. To her, Darius did not appear to be in immediate danger. No weapons were drawn, no blood spilt… There was no yelling, no screaming. Aklenroth appeared to be benign, though his true intentions were masked by his calm and nonhostile demeanor. "I don’t know what to do…" Darius seemed to freeze in place for a moment before he looked to Aklenroth and snatched the crystal. He took a few steps back with a stern look of distrust on his face.

“I think it’ll be better if I keep my distance a bit.” Darius said before looking upon the crystal. ”No funny business… or you’ll regret it.” He threatened before giving attention to the crystal. Darius clasped both hands around the crystal and squeezed before feeling it crush in his palms. He stared intensely at his clasped hands, waiting for some sort of sign or the visual mumbo jumbo he was supposed to be experiencing. That’s when he felt a surge of energy come from his hands and spread to the rest of his body. His widened before glowing a bright red. He could see it. All that Aklenroth wanted him to see. First the disasters like the fires that had spread within the forests as well as other disasters that destroyed villages. Then came the deaths, not just caused by humans, but the deaths of humans as well. Some killed each other, while others were too helpless to survive the wilds of Avalia. He himself had nearly been a victim to a violent creature’s ill intentions upon arriving. He was viewing not just the presence of humans during this time, but throughout Avalia’s history. It was almost too much, but he managed to take all of it in. His eyes returned to normal, and though it had felt like hours, only a few seconds had passed. He looked into his hands that had no trace of the crystal he crushed before looking to Aklenroth.

”Fuck… How many of us are left out there?” Darius asked referring to humans. “So they bring us here at random and make us fucking fight for them?!” Darius whipped his hand down to his side in frustration, sending a wave of summoned water crashing to the ground beside him. “They just bring them here, hope they find them, and then use ‘em.” Darius’ tone weakened. He was a bit solemn at the revelation the crystal gave him. He took a breath before nodding to himself. “I change my mind… I want the ten thousand for turning myself in because I’m staying! I’m not going back while there are still people out there… And how many have even made it here?” Darius almost didn’t want to know the answer. During his travel to Morteum, there were no signs of any other humans, not one.

Skar turned to Darius with a shocked expression. The thought of him staying was odd. She wondered what he had seen that changed his mind that seemed so driven to the goal of going back to his home. She wondered what he would do with the amas he was receiving. If he reneged on their deal, she would surely kill him. She could only assume he would keep his word, but who knows what he was thinking after he had smashed the crystal and saw whatever he saw.

"I do not know how many are here if I am to be honest, and yes precisely, they are only bringing humans at random to fight for them and be used. There are many that don't even have a chance to be found before being killed." Aklenroth then turned towards the doors whilst lifting his hand towards them, causing them to open. "If we wish to speak more, I would like to invite you inside." he continued before walking into the Necropolis.

Week Summary

On the dreaded flight back in the Amora, Azriel found solace in becoming more acquainted with Jack. It was a good way for her to distract herself from being confined in the flying contraption. His love for killing and death was lovely, however there was an insanity there that she wasn't entirely fond of. At the end of the day, she decided she could tolerate Jack's company which was a very rare thing.

She was eager to get back to hunting other humans, now curious as to what they were like. Umber told her of the human named Elsea and the emotions he felt from her. At first, Azriel felt a twinge of jealousy over it. She got over that quickly, or she at least tried to force herself to get over it. So she promised him that they would find her so he could play with her all he wanted, warp her into something new.

She enjoyed torturing the fairies, but there was a part of her that wished there were some elves as well to torture. Her hatred for the race was unlike any other. She hated their arrogance, how they thought they were so much better than any of the other races and she liked to put them in their place. She loved proving to them that they were no better than anyone else. So she held out hope that they would come across elves to torture in their hunt.

Present

Azriel slowly circled around the group of fairies, eyeing them and listening for any pleading coming from them. Some looked at here with pure terror and tears in their eyes while others looked at her with hatred. Those were the ones she grinned at in a strangely happy way. She silently dared them to try and do something just so she could act. She was itching to spill some more blood even though the last few days had been filled with it.

She was disappointed that none of them had seen any of the traitors, but what frustrated her more was the ones who tried to lie about seeing them. How dare they lie to them about such things! Did they truly think that lying would protect them? Those were the ones that died terribly by her hands. Slow, painful deaths that caused others watching to wretch.

Umber began to rip the wings off of the fairy and it caused some in the audience to begin screaming and crying in terror. The sound irritated Azriel, not being fond of the loud noise, and she sent a feather slicing into the throat of one of the women who were screaming. "Silence your screaming or I will do the silencing for you!" She shouted at them and they quickly quieted down. She then turned her attention back to Umber.

As he was tearing the second wing off, Azriel was hit with a small rock and she whirled around to see a young child was the culprit. Her face was devoid of emotion as she made her way over to the defiant looking boy. As she began grabbing him, his mother began pleading for forgiveness and to take her instead. A wicked grin crossed her face as she locked eyes with the woman. "Do you hear that, Umber? You have a volunteer!" She said as she gestured to the woman who now looked horrified and the little boy was beginning to apologize for his actions as he realized his mother was in trouble. Azriel ignored him, tossing him aside as she grabbed the woman and began dragging her towards Umber.

TIME: Morning
LOCATION: Roshmi City
INTERACTIONS: Ayita @13org, Cadence @Helo

Week Summary

Sakura never really had any solid experience with talking to people. A demon's vocabulary was limited and always ranged around words 'kill', 'die', and 'death', while the dark elves were always lurking in the shadows and spoke so mysteriously that Sakura couldn't make heads or tails of what the heck they were talking about. So to have actual people with decent speaking skills to talk to were kind of surprising to the demoness, and she was even more surprised upon finding out she was enjoying her time with them. Not to mention that time when Cade hugged her. Sakura only heard of hugging in books but she never experienced it in real life until that moment. His fur was so soft, and she could actually feel his firm muscles underneath that soft fur of his. As the trio continued their adventure, Sakura would often times need to mentally stop herself from reaching out to feel Cade's fur again.

She always hated demihumans and light elves but due to that experience of Cade hugging Sakura, she couldn't wait for all of this to be finally over so she can bring Cade home to Daka Island as her personal pet.

In their journey to the forest, Ayita spoke of the world she came from where Sakura and Cade listened with utmost interest (moreso for Sakura as any information she will get was vital for her mission), and Cade relayed some of his knowledge about heroism and the various legends of Avalia. Sakura didn't really have any interesting things to share so she decided on teaching Ayita about how magic works in Avalia instead. Sakura was debating whether or not to teach Ayita how to use her magic, but she figured she had to for the sake of her mission. As time flied by, the trio continued their journey until they've reached Roshmi City. Things will only get more exciting from here.

Present

"Cade is right, Ayita. While the huge population of Roshmi City might look a bit scary, most if not all people will not care about what you do, what you are, and what you look like as long as it doesn't concern them," Sakura said as she and Cade help Ayita in putting on the fake elf ears against her human ones.

Sakura herself had also been to Roshmi City several times for her missions, either for intel gathering or for assassinations. She loved the diversity of the city, and it was always nice to have a nice change of scenery aside from the usual 'hellish fire and chaotic darkness' she always saw back at Daka Island. Though her hatred for elves and demihumans still ran deep, she couldn't help but be impressed in how they do things and how they lived their lives all this time, especially in how they delved into magic. Sakura always made sure to pick up a thing or two from the elves so she can also use it in casting her spells.

She smirked upon hearing Cade calling her 'she who faced down the dracolich'. "Ayita, you worry too much. Not all elves look as white as snow, though I'm not so certain if they discriminate against elves who're darker skinned...", Sakura said. She couldn't say the same about demons when one discriminated her when she doesn't look demonic enough. Sakura was kind enough to give that demon a swift and painless death.

The demoness finally sighed. "If you're concerned about fitting it, I can use a disguising spell on you to make you look and feel like an elf, though I would need a body part of an actual elf for that. Since we don't have that, we need to work with what we have." Sakura looked around and spotted a bush of blue berries. She gathered a couple and crushed them against a stone, then wiped their juices off the stone using her hands. As Sakura drew a magic symbol on Ayita's forehead using the crushed berries' juices, she chanted:

"We fear the light that bears all
Unveil our masks where pain befall
Fool the eyes that see within
Hide the truth from those not kin."

As Sakura finished her chanting and drawing of the symbol, it shined once into a pink light then turned back to its bluish color as a shimmery veil surrounded Ayita. "All done. To me and Cade, you look just like yourself. From the perspective of others, you look like a very normal light-skinned elf without the symbol on your forehead. Most magically inclined elves will notice the presence of my magic surrounding you but don't be afraid, magic is as natural as breathing for elves. Just don't wipe or wash that symbol off as it will undo my spell. I hope I helped end your doubts, Ayita the Elf," Sakura told Ayita with a reassuring smile.

Week Summary

The next week had gone a lot smoother than Torvi had expected it to and she was quite grateful for it. Neither pried into the others past and it seemed like there was just an unspoken thing between them that they wouldn’t unless it was absolutely necessary. She actually found herself enjoying the company of Bowyn and even Boreas which she had begun to view more as a person than an animal. She’d even caught him eyeing the ornaments in her hair and decided to be kind and gifted him one. She definitely wouldn’t miss it and it seemed to make him quite happy. She was quite amused the next day when he brought her a squirrel, but she thanked him and prepared it to eat.

Training her magic was much more difficult than she thought it would be. Bowyn tried to help as much as he could and she did listen to everything he said, taking it to heart. It was harder for her to tap into those gentler emotions to gain control over things, finding it way easier to use the stronger emotions just like when she fought. He was right, though, and the magic tended to be quite a bit more unpredictable. She just kept telling herself she would eventually get it.

Another thing she found she wasn’t entirely skilled at was stealing, unlike Bowyn who seemed to be a master at it in her eyes. She definitely tried her best and was successful only once or twice, the other couple times she was caught yet was exceptionally well at playing it off as if the item had fallen off the stand and she was being a good person by picking it up. That was when they decided perhaps she was better suited at distracting the merchants while Bowyn stole what they needed. She did still try her hand at stealing, though, just in case she ever found herself in a situation without Bowyn and needed to steal something.

The trip on the Amora was not something Torvi was fond of. She actually had found herself becoming ill and even vomited once before she decided to sit in a corner with her eyes closed. She couldn’t understand how people enjoyed being this high up as all she could think about was how awful it would be if they fell. It made her heart race and that was probably what made her sick. She was happy when they finally landed.

Present

Roshmi was by far the largest city Torvi had ever seen in her whole life. In fact it was probably the most people she’d ever seen in her whole life and she wasn’t really a fan. She, like Bowyn, wasn’t fond of the climate as she’d always preferred winter time and the cold. Mix the climate with the clusters of people and Torvi was finding it a bit stuffy and hard to breathe. She was also a bit paranoid of people pickpocketing her, realizing after spending a week with the thief Bowyn that this was the perfect scenario for that. So her facial expression was definitely not the friendliest and some people even began trying to avoid walking near her.

She glanced over to Bowyn as he spoke, chuckling a bit at his obvious distaste for this place. She was glad that they had “found” themselves new clothes because if she were still in her furs she was pretty sure she would be dying. It seemed like she was to be the one that made the decision on getting a drink and if she were being honest it was an easy decision. ”I’m sorry Boreas, but I have to agree with Bowyn. I need to get off these crowded streets for a bit and calm my nerves with a drink.” She said, apologizing to the bird for encouraging foolish behaviour. She definitely enjoyed a good drink and even enjoyed the impressed looks when she drank some men under the table. She’d even beaten a man at an arm wrestling match back in the moon elf villages after having a few drinks and that was the type of revelry she needed right then.

”Perhaps over there? It looks like their an inn as well so maybe we could get a room at the same time.” She suggested, pointing to a place called The Leaky Tap Tavern & Inn. It wasn’t the most reputable looking establishment, but it at least looked clean and people were in and out of there quite a bit.

Time: Morning

Dio went on to back up all of what Elsea had said and she was grateful for it. She gave the other woman a small, thankful smile before she heard someone coming up the stairs. Moments later Risa appeared, excited and exclaiming she had a surprise. Elsea gave Kyran a look of 'I told you so' before shooing him out the door again.

She was intrigued by this claim of having a surprise and wondered what Risa was talking about. What kind of surprise could she have found at the beach? That's when she walked outside and found the white hair of the man she'd been keeping her eyes open for all of the last week. "Elthrael!" She exclaimed, relief in her voice and a big smile on her face. She was elated to see that he was okay as she had been beyond worried over the last week. Kyran had told her that he hadn't seen him when he discovered the date of Jean. It had been worrisome yet it also meant there was hope he'd survived and sure enough here he was.

Her smile fell, however, as what Elthrael had said registered and Kyran began asking his questions. It irritates her a bit as she realized Elthrael had been trying to get a rise out of Kyran. Why must he antagonize? Kyran was a good guy and had earned her trust and respect over the last week. She'd even dare calling him a friend. She was also a little concerned that he'd come across Risa while she was alone as she thought back of what had happened when she was alone with him. She was curious if Elthrael had tried anything with Risa and was concerned for Risa as well as she was naive in Elsea's eyes. She looked to Risa briefly, giving her a questioning look to make sure she was really okay. She felt a bit of protectiveness over her new friends.

She then looked back to Elthrael. "I'm am very glad you're okay. I am also curious, though, on how you escaped completely unscathed? The ones who murdered Jean were definitely not a force to be reckoned with." Of course she hadn't actually seen any of them and only knew what Kyran told them, but Elthrael wouldn't know that. She was quite curious as to what his answer was and would he be truthful?

Risa was excited to see her friends again. Even though she saw them all the time, she felt a surge of happiness whenever her friends were nearby. She tilted her head, her smiling fading once Kyran joined, looking very unhappy. He began a tirade of questions for Elthrael, some of which Risa had wondered about as well. It had perturbed her that he hadn't mentioned Jean-Luc's death. She wondered if he had been chased off and hadn't seen it or only distracted some of the pursuers perhaps. As much as Risa felt a bit bad that Elthrael was being greeted in not the friendliest manner, she understood it was important to establish trust as the situation was confusing.

Kyran beckoned her over with his hand. However, he didn't look so friendly and she was afraid he'd scold her so she hesitated a moment. Eventually, she did move to his side, his fluffy fox tail curling around her like a coat being draped around her. His tail was so fluffy and he knew she liked to touch it. Risa petted it, distracted for the moment as she was delighted to touch fluff. She looked up only when Dionaea joined and she beamed at her. Risa had been putting extra effort to be there for Dionaea as much as she could this week. Elsea joined as well, looking excited at first to see Elthrael. Another surge of excitement filled her as yet another beloved friend was now present. A troubled look overcame Elsea's beautiful smile and Risa wasn't sure what had happened there. She ended up, glancing over at her, continuing to pet the foxtail and hold it. The look Elsea gave Risa made it seem like she wanted to ask her something. Risa gave her a look of confusion back. Elsea moved on to begin questioning Elthrael as well. Both of them were now suspicious of Elthrael. A bad feeling earlier had also filled Risa's gut that she had ignored.

Risa reminded herself that they needed to try to see the good in others, so she elected to stay silent until Elthrael said his piece, and then proceeded to ask "Why don't we all chat over breakfast or something?" Kyran did not seem to trust him and it was rational for them not to force him to let Elthrael in his home where his family lived. Kyran had been kind enough to let them all stay there and it was asking too much to make him house people he did not trust. Tensions seemed high at the moment and it would be best if everyone sat down to a lovely meal. Besides, Risa was hungry. Her stomach grumbled audibly and she smiled like a child caught red-handed.

Elthrael Vol'Kerno

'A large demon? An angel demi-human and a dark elf? So that's what was coming. Jean dead? Oh he must mean the foolish male human who brought his own death upon himself. How fine of you to share this information so freely, you mangy-mutt. Now I do know what is giving chase after us and can dispatch them at my terms...'

"How I managed to survive? Hnn hnn..." He began to chuckle softly to himself, he 'sat down' midair, while his wings fluttered, he crossed his legs slightly, reaching up one hand to stroke his own chin, tapping his cheek with a finger as he did. "...well first of all, I am not you." He said with a smile on his lips, which showed a few of his teeth, especially his sharp corner teeth.

"For spending time with my kind, you certainly don't know much about us fairies do you? But then how could you ever truly understand us, when you cannot soar the skies like we do, when you cannot feel the very earth and plantlife surrounding you. No, you are as blind as a mole when it comes to that. But you do have something going for you. You smell. Helps keeping track of where you are, even if you don't know that yourself. " The fairy said in an amused manner, looking down on Kyran, from his invisible throne.

"I am good at what I'm doing, which is surviving and thriving. You've ought to try it someday." Elthrael said, as his voice lowered into a mumble. "If you had it in you." He fake coughed into his hand before proceeding. "This... Jean, I suppose were that armored human male. His own death was his own doing, he tried to chew off more than he could swallow and paid the ultimate price. A pity. But unavoidable since you were eager to go with his plan rather than mine. His demise may serve as a reminder that choices do bear consequences. Perhaps the next time you'll go with my suggestion hm?" Elthrael said in a soft tone of voice, looking over the people gathered.

"How I appeared here? I did nothing so underhanded as to follow this here young woman, I don't make a living out of... stalking. Do you? I just happened to be here before you even got here, when you can fly instead of walk you can get to places alot quicker." He gave an amused grin to Kyran, then set his eyes on Elsea.

"I feel the very same, Elsea. I could ask you all the same how you got away, but does it truly matter that much when what matters is that you did get away. Same can be said for myself. Jean got... compromised so I had to withdraw lest I would have joined him in his untimely death, which would not have served anyone any good other than our common foes." The fairy explained in a very calm manner, as if his mind had already been up right then and there, no hint of doubt in his voice, no regrets whatsoever.

"What if I would have done this? What if I would have done that? What if I was born rich? What if I were powerful? All these questions are meaningless when regarding past occurances for most beings, if you start thinking like that when it truly matters you'll run out of time. Make up your mind before you get drawn into a scenario which forces you into making a choice, that can save you and others valuable time. A time is of the essence, as we all ought to know by now." He blew some small plant dust from his hand and allowed it to carry through the wind.

Then his eyes set on Risa as she had placed herself by Kyran. "Ahh that is true, you need to consume in order to live, like the flame eats the air around it. We too must do akin, to grow stronger." The dark winged fairy said in a softer tone of voice, holding up one of his hands with the palm facing up to the sky, then using his chlorokinesis, he created a single seed in his hand. Which he shortly after allowed to fall to the ground below. The fairy stretched his arms abit and uncrossed his legs, as he gradually hovered down to where it landed. The fairy held out his left hand towards the seed, and then it began to grow, vines and roots spreading and it's shape twisting and becoming larger until it held a final shape. An appletree.

Elthrael gave a smug expression to it, then went over to pick up a red apple hanging from the newly formed tree. He held it out towards Elsea.

"Nature provides to those which respects it. This here fruit may not give you the wisdom of the gods, but it will stave off hunger." He said with a smile on his lips, then mumbled in a low whisperlike manner. "Unless you hunger for other things..."

Week Summary

The past week had been nothing but an information dump of her new world. Belle learned more about it and the truth of why she had been plucked from Earth; to sum up her emotions with one word was impossible. She couldn't help but feel indignation and bitter. How dare they pluck her from her world and expect her to fight for them without asking her? Did these Elves think that everyone would agree to join their random war and possibly die for it? Whenever she thought of it, Belle would begin to shake with anger and disgust. Furthermore, she found it troubling and maddening how she was not allowed to leave the building as well. She felt as if she were trapped underwater, unable to breathe. She hated being cooped up and also being underground. She thought of how she almost ended it in the forest and wondered if it had been a mistake not to follow through.

She had stayed with Ilan whom was the only person/creature she wasn't quite pissed at throughout the week. His sweet and pure nature had been softening up some of her anger and darkness. She found it difficult to stay mad or irritated with him. He was young and innocent and was uncomfortable being in the position anyway. On the other hand, the Dark Elf, known as "Baraian", had fallen onto her bad side. The way he had stabbed the poor man, known as Hans, had irritated her; that kind of senseless killing wasn't a way to win tokens to her good side. Belle knew the man deserved it; however it had still unsettled her. Furthermore, it had also triggered an emotional and traumatic flashback for her as well. Belle found herself glowering inside when he spoke to her. The violent vulpine had also set her on edge with his sharp-edged fan. Belle, despite finding it cool, was unable to rationalize trusting them. It reminded of her the violence she had tried so hard to escape.

Over the week, Ilan had assisted her in discovering her so called magic. He had explained it was wither fire, earth, water or air, and how humans had no control over what was given to them. She had prayed to God she had anything but water. He had placed a match, feather and rock in front of her and asked her to focus on it. Along with Baraian, he had told that she should feel a surge of energy and how the object would react mysteriously.

After trying for several hours with no success with the match, feather and rock, Belle had been about to give up when a puddle of water formed at her feet. She stared at it and looked over to find another one forming nearby. On top of that, a rain cloud had formed over a few of the residents and began to drip. Belle's expression had been filled with anger and disgust; so much, that she thrown her hands in the air and gone to her tent to escape. When she had thrown her hands in the air, the puddles and rain cloud disappeared. Water - the one thing she feared being in and ever facing. She buried her head in her hands after zipping the tent shut and silently screamed into them.

Belladonna stood in the shadows of the rebel hideout, arms folded. Her gaze was fixated on Baraian. Belle's rage was boiling inside, though she remained outwardly calm. The speech was enough to make anyone gag. She listened carefully to his words although it didn't make anything inside of her stir. When nobody was looking, she managed a faint chortle and smirk. Take control of Avalia; how the hell they expected that to happen, she wasn't certain. She slowly slid her hand down the bow hanging over her shoulder. She had a quiver of arrows in the pouch around her waist she wished she could use to poke her eyes out. They had been allowing her to also train in archery, and had been impressed with her knowledge on knives and daggers. Her archery, though, needed some help. A kind Elven woman named Rosemary, had been assisting her. She had been using targets at the back of the room out of everyone's way. Belle found it helped relieve her stress and anxiety too, so she practiced often.

As Baraian continued his speech now to include her, Belladonna quickly smiled pleasantly. Right now, they were cheering for her. What would happen though if hey miraculously won this war? Would she be back-stabbed yet again and thrown into the streets to die? Belle was afraid to find out the answer. If she disagreed, then what would happen? There were too many variables. She felt trapped. Her mind was reeling. At this time though, they were practically worshiping her so she was going to play along. Belladonna moved forward with confidence and grace with a smile painted on her face from ear-to-ear. She stopped to stand beside Baraian to present herself. She would play this to the beat. Right now, they provided her with food, water and shelter. She was starting to enjoy their fashion too. At this time, she knew she had to play along. That was something she could do easily.

"You all may rise. Please don't kneel too long and wear yourselves out. We need to be ready to fight at any moment, yes?" She paused and glanced over everyone. The elves and demihumans were staring at her with admiration. Belle wasn't sure how to react, though she felt pride rise inside of her. Nobody had looked at her that way for the right reasons in a long time. "I can't thank you all enough for your generosity and help with my adjustment into your new, lovely world. I appreciate each and every one of you and have faith that we may accomplish our task of overthrowing Aklenroth." She glanced at the paintings with a sorrowful expression. With the help of her hydromancy, she forced her eyes to tear up and wiped the tears away quickly with her gloved hands. "We will make them proud and not let their sacrifices be in vain. Together we will free Avalia of this dictatorship and cruelty. Together, we will bring honor to your ancestors and live together in peace and harmony."

Belle curtsied in front of them and then moved out of the picture to the back of the room. She needed some air; but not yet. She was going to eat first and wait for the crowd to settle down. She picked up some apples and a glass of water as she watched the others. Belle remained outwardly calm and smiled sweetly at anyone who turned to glance at her.

Time: Morning
Location: Roshimi City

Last week

For three days the River Kingdom had been in a tense state. Rumors spread quickly about the burning houses. Some said the Millinas were plotting a coup together with the Sycamores. Others said they were taken without reason so Aklenroth could eliminate those with power in the region. Xenelith let the rumors brew for two days before he made his move. Rather unannounced he barged into the River Kingdom’s political center while it was in full swing. All the benches were filled when the doors threw open and Dark Elves moved inside. The clamor did not die down. Not even when Xenelith walked up to the stage. He allowed it to go on for a few more seconds before he spoke. “Why am I here!?” He said, raising his voice for a moment. The clamor died down. “why am I here?” he repeated, this time softer. “Have we not giving you all we could give? Peace? Self-governance? Freedom to do as you please? Much have we given! We who owe you nothing.” He glared at some, but not all fairies before him. “By now you will know what I speak of. Traitors to the king. To the peace, we’ve so long sought to maintain. The vilest, most selfish breed of criminals.” His eyes turned from the fairies to his fellow Dark Elves. “They walk here now. Among us. Plotting to kill us, take our power and send us back to whence we came!” The room exploded. Dark Elves rose up from their seats. Shouting their opinions, swearing their allegiances once more and vowing to kill every last rebel they find. Xenelith let them rage for a minute. Such was the power of their emotions that shadows grew larger and darker. “Never I tell you! Never will I let that happen!” Xenelith continued. Embolden by the crowd. “We have suffered for this world! We have fought for it! We will fight for it again and again! For as long as is needed!” The Dark Elves rose from their seats in applause.

Xenelith basked in it. He let it go on for a minute. Some fairies joined in. Though not all. Finally, he raised his hand to calm everyone down. “Do not despair my friends. For fight I have done indeed. Yet it is not my hand alone that wields the blade. There is still loyalty in this world. There are still those who understand the truth: the rebels cannot win. These brave men and women allow us to be one step ahead of these traitors at all times.” He raised his hand towards the furthest Dark Elf on the other side of the chamber. Who opened the door he was guarding. Two more guards dragged in an elderly female fairy. Her wings were clearly torn and her face beaten. “Behold! The fruit of their labor. The vilest of criminals.” The fairies would recognize the woman instantly. She was a well-known figure in the healing center. Wise and kind, even the animals came to her if they were wounded. More importantly, she was a mentor to many accomplished healers. “For years she spread her poison amongst your children.” Xenelith declared as he looked down upon the fairies. Then he turned to his fellow dark elves again. “Look upon her now my friends.” He took her by the hair and raised her bruised and swollen face towards the rows of dark elves. Instantly the chamber grew a little darker and shadows a little longer. “This is the face that wants to kill you. That wants to take away your life. That wants to banish you to Dakka again.” He threw her face against the hard, stone floor. “Will you let that happen!?” He yelled out.

“No! No! No!” As the Dark Elves yelled their unified response, the room grew darker still. Any light was being pushed back.

“No!” Xenelith joined in. “We will not!” He pulled his own blade. “For a century we talked. We listened. I say enough is enough! We will not sit idly by as cowards’ blades inch closer to our lives! The time for diplomacy is over! Now is a time for action! For deeds! No more mercy!”

The crowd joined him, chanting: “No more mercy.” As he raised his blade and let it fall down onto the crippled woman beneath him. Her death caused an uproar in the benches. With the tip of his blade still bloody he marched out of the room. The peace they had given was over. Civil unrest would soon fully grip the River Fairy Kingdom. Fueled by the names of those branded rebels. Though curiously the Sycamore family was never charged. That night Xenelith and his prisoners took an Amoras from the River Kingdom and headed for Roshimi.

Xenelith was wide awake long before the sun rose. He was meditating and preparing for the day ahead. It was a method he had developed over the last few decades. Dark Magic was fueled by your own emotions. Agony, hatred, sadness. It all culminated into more power. So every dawn he confronted himself with his own worst memories. Now he had one more. The killing of his wolf. It was a weapon now. A way to make his power just a little stronger still. Yet he could feel the sickness rising in his body. His mortal form couldn’t cope with such pain every day. His hair had already begun to wither. He opened his eyes and looked at his hand. The weakness of his own flesh began to disgust him. The sweet siren song of Lichdom called him once more. Perhaps someday Aklenroth would deem him worthy.

A guard opened the door to his chambers as the sun came over the horizon. “Sir. Sycamore is ready at the gates.” Xenelith gave him a nod of acknowledgment. Moments later the commander approached Dionaea’s father. The man looked tired and hungry. His skin looked untouched but pale, thought that was because his own daughters were allowed to heal him before he left. Lotus should have had hollow eyes. Eyes of a broken man. Yet he didn’t. Xenelith recognized the spark. “Remember, bring her to me. Your family already suffered enough because of Risa’s fantasies. Your children shouldn’t keep paying the consequences. Bring her to me and your family will be saved.” The gate opened up behind Lotus. The Dark Elves had been stationed in a villa complex in the middle of Roshimi. It was a beautiful place and allowed quick access to the main roads. Lotus just released the grip and moved into the streets of Roshimi.

An hour later Xenelith himself marched into the city as it began to awaken properly. The Light Elf governor was an interesting figure. Old enough to perhaps have known the banishment first hand. Yet ironically he became a servant of Aklenroth. All Dark Elves despised all Light Elves, but few were more hated than Terneus. Gossips of his antics spread far and wide. He was, after all, the perfect Light Elf. Haughty, arrogant, privileged. How hard could it be that his entire kind was like him? It also made him a prime suspect whenever and wherever some rebels appeared. Though he had never been caught. Well, that was until he decided to come to Roshimi.

Xenelith and his troops turned the corner just in time to hear Terneus’ last words of his rant.

"I, whose only crime in this world is to have been born beautiful..."

The whole band stopped in their tracks. Momentarily stunned as if the cheer arrogance had formed a club and hit them. The gossips were wild about him but to see such extravagant ego in the flesh, it was literally stunning.

“Beautiful? I’ve seen owlbears on Dakka more beautiful than him.” Leandron whispered, perhaps a little louder than what was courteous. Everyone had to suppress their laughter.

“Terneus Andros.” Xenelith called out to announce his own presence. He deliberately left out the title. “Commander Fledrin.” He continued, giving the Light Elven commander a curt bow. “What a surprise to find such an honorable servant of Aklenroth here, in times like these. Are you here to offer me your aid in search of the rebels?”
