@NesyExecutive As someone who joined the forum right after I turned 14, I feel your pain.

I was used to forummotion and proboards sites, which from my experience were set up for writing pretty much only 1x1's.

I'm not sure if you've tried writing your own interest check, but I would recommended that as well as the earlier recommendations of checking out the group RP's.

While the majority of the forum does appear to be adults, there are quite a few underage people as well. And no, not everyone is looking for smut. Some people just aren't comfy writing with someone so young - which is neither parties fault.

The reason I'm recommending group RP's so much is because that's where I got my start. You have a really new account. Not many people know you yet. We don't know you personally, your writing style, your characters... nothing. Groups are a nice place to try and make a name for yourself. After you've done a group or two and people can look at your profile and see what sort of writer you are for themselves, this may help you get a few partners.

The happy thing is that I have found partners here already. So it's a slow start for me. I feel your pain just as I do.

Just got two things to add to this discussion:

One is that I "walked" into a thread that was clearly marked 18+, clearly involved sexual themes, and I pmed the roleplayer anyway. I told them I was interested in the RP but wanted to know if it was okay if we didn't do sex n' stuff. Plot twist: they were okay with it.

Second thing is just my own personal experience. I've tried to start 1x1 RPs at least ten times, and half of them never turn into RPs before my partner ghosts on me. The other half never make it to the second page! I've even tried to do RPs with people who I talk to on a regular basis. Yes @FamishedPants, I'm talking about you in the Roleplay discussion thread again. Come at me bro! But yea, group roleplays aren't as "intimate" as 1x1 stuff, but they are usually easier to join because the GMs aren't as picky. There's way less 18+ content, no sex stuff, etc. If you're half way decent at writing, aren't an asshole, and are more interesting than a potato, you'll do fine in casual.

Honestly, it is either because "mature" themes or that people feel comfortable with writing with fellow adults (in a 1x1 setting). Mine is 18+ largely because the latter, but most people do 18+ because of mature themes like smut. You can't RP smut on the forums but you can do so in PMs, therefore people tend to lurk there for partners, which in turn causes a surge in interest checks from people wanting to get their freaky on.

As others suggested, I'd suggest checking the other sections on the guild since 1x1 is more or less no man's land filled full of 18+ and smut checks. Maybe try looking through the casual section since people tend to congregate there more than other sections.

Well to add on to this in order to at least help. I think there are many more 18+ roleplays is because of the comfort of writing with a adult in a format like that as long as one abides to the rules but I think it is more of the idea of writing with someone with a similar mindset.

Now, from my own experience I have generally done 1x1's a lot more and posted in that format way more than the casual section.Over 50% of them never turn into RPs before my partner ghosts on me. Which is annoying and frustrating due to killing morale and group RP's are not as "driven" on smut but more on teamwork between the GM's and those who are there.

I wouldn't suggest that. If you're specifically just searching for 1x1's, then try only posting in the 1x1 section.

Copy the link. Create a topic in the suggestions/problems section of the forum. Title it post deletion. Paste the link in the topic and ask for the post to be removed. One of the mods will remove it for you.

You'll still be able to see it, as it is 'hidden.' The mods will see it too. The rest of the forum will not. Nothing can ever be truly deleted on RPG.

Guild coding is custom built fat as I know, and a good chunk is hand made so only really Manz can easily work behind the scenes.

It's not like generic forums you could copy a premade code section and click go button.

For my part, I don't do sexual content. It's rather the content matter it deals with; rape, murder, torture, and psychological incidents that could cause people to be triggered or upset. I do not want a parent taking me to court because I emotionally damaged their child.
