When Loona decided to try her hand at fighting the dastardly beings who took her species and those weaker than them for granted, she didn't expect to become a Yellow Hood with her shoddy performance. She met so many upon arriving, most of which were surprised to see one of her kind out and about. Loona immediately sought refuge with Nick, another Human Initiate. While their interaction was short, their bond was strong enough despite being put into separate groups and not being able to see each other often. He even taught her the ways of a "fist bump", an action she still does to this day.
Then came those she was paired up with in the Yellow Hood Initiation, Colin, Kiri, and...Locksley. Only the former two and herself made it out alive, by far doing the worse out of the three groups. The death of an acquaintance at most, but a comrade no less quickly divided the team, Loona having no choice but to watch the other two blame each other for something that couldn't be helped.
Eventually, they were sent out on their first mission, one that Loona has a hard time recalling as by the time they returned, the Fae was called to return home immediately by an Pillar*. Having no choice since she became and Upper Fae** at such a young age, Loona took a leave of absence to see what she was called for. Arriving at her home colony, Loona was face to face with one of Pillars for the first time, the Pillar of Water,
Tallulah; which just so happened to be Loona's parent Pillar. The water fairy in question had heard about Loona's departure to the Red Hoods and was quick to scold her about it, explain how she couldn't allow one of her most prized successors to go off and get herself kill without fulfilling her duties. Tallulah then ordered Loona to instead remain by her side and protect her since she was so inclined on putting her life on the line to protect people.
Having no choice in the matter, Loona allowed herself to get roped into a curious predicament. On one hand, she had to stay so that her Pillar wouldn't fall, but on the other hands, her heart belonged somewhere else. And thus began the strenuous life of a servant and bodyguard to one of the most important people among her kind. Loona was at Tallulah's beg and call, the former expelling her dust with the staff she was 'gifted' while the later fluttered to and fro, almost without a care in the world. Whenever someone would ask who Loona was, Tallulah would call her "a wingless sprite" as opposed to one of her successors. The constant tending to quick spiraled into doing almost everything for the Pillar and being assaulted when she did the smallest thing wrong.
Loona wasn't the kind of girl to voice her complaints even if she wanted to, but after all the years of playing 'Pillar' when the title didn't even belong to her, being verbally and physically assaulted for things she has no control over, using up all of her dust to the point that she felt ill, and a whole slew of other things, the still young Fae took what she could from her belongs and ran away to the city when she could, a place where Tallulah would have a hard time finding her. She's been trying to survive on her own since then, even taking a few freelancer jobs to imitate what she did in the Red Hoods. Although, because of her species, she's more so asked to do less monster hunting and more healing and recovery missions...
* A Pillar is similar to a Lord or King/Queen, the Fae having 4 main ones connected to the four elements in some way.
** The status right below the Pillars and similar to Princes and Princesses. The eldest member of a particular family automatically gets this status, which is why Loona has it despite being very young. Namesakes fall under on of the four elements (ex, Loona is Moon, which falls under Water)
