OK, I'm looking at fandom and the headliner states that by the time Clone Wars occurred many Mandalorians rehabilitated and quit their warmongering ways.
However it's an AU and combat looks like it's going to be a central element of the story.
I don't have a question because I think the answer is Yes, there will be Mando combat. I think that with the government being directed by Mandalore, there would have to be heavy levels of politicking and security. I don't know.
As Apollo literally just mentioned, and I will quote his post for this
Fanon isn't considered a source for this.
So using the fandom as a source for your research is not a valid source, I can direct you towards wookiepedia, which is a wiki dedicated to Star Wars. Both Canon and Legends (which is where the canon for this rp draws from). Further, the opening post to this interest check does say that Mandalore is now ruled by Mandalore the Paladin, a distinct change from canon and Legends.
While Mandalore is not nessecarily warmongering, they are not the pacifists we previously saw. This meaning that if War comes, the Mandalorians will not hesitate to answer in kind.
With the Republic of Mandalore being an established entity, there will be chances to do politics and the like.
Just figured I would clear things up for you that Mandalore are not by any stretch the pacifists we saw around this time in canon.
Now don't get me wrong guys, Jedi are very cool and all, but they're not robot-cowboy cool:
The Deserter
{Full Name}
Steely/B142-8
{Age}
23
{Species}
Droid
{Gender}
Neither (programmed masculine)
{Force Sensitive/Alignment}
No – Unsure of himself at the moment
{Appearance}
Fair to say if you've seen one B1 battle droid, you've seen them all. Though Steely has seen some milage over the course of the Clone Wars, scratches and repair work here and there. He's had a few modifications since leaving the CIS; notably a short range rocket booster but also some extra plating in some areas.
Steely's voice is little lower and more distorted but he's most distinctive from the countless other B1's due to his cloak and wide-brimmed hat, most unusual for a droid.
{Equipment and Personal Belongings}
On his person he has a grapple-hook, knife, blaster, thermal detonators and a sniper. Plus his well worn hat and cloak. He has a modest amount of credits as well as some general belongings and pilots an old freighter.
{Physical Abilities}
A droid doesn't make it through the Clone Wars without developing a few quirks and knacks for survival namely a quick draw and a keen aim. The booster on his back allows for short bursts of flight, he can fold down to a small size and like any droid can survive a vacuum.
{Limitations}
Though a notch up from the standard model, B1's are notably designed on the cheap and Steely is no exception. He is light and not very strong for a bipedal his size nor is he particularly resilient.
{Personality}
Steely is a droid who's gone from a nameless cog in a galactic war machine to a free individual. Because of this he's always keen to prove himself apart from that former 'drone' aspect of his life (to himself as much as to others). Such things like wearing a cloak and hat, his prickly pride and having a strong political views all the way to his love of desert music. These quirks are almost him trying to better define himself and almost overcompensating with a larger than life personality.
In spite of being a relatively pathetic standard battle-droid he has a pride and an ego that vastly out-weigh his abilities, preferring to think of himself as a cold fearless outlaw, his more talkative nature generally bely the silent gun-man he likes to think of himself as.
Steely's goal, as much as he has one, is really to find a goal. He's turned his back on the thing he was literally made for and his only purpose. In spite of his quick-mouthed chipper nature he is a thoughtful and very reflective individual. I don't want to say anything too definitive about his morality as that's something that I think he'll try to find interacting with the other characters.
{Place of Origin}
Manufactured on Geonosis, Steely was one of the later series of B1 battle droids deployed in the clone wars, successors to the OOM droids used on Naboo that required battle-computer link to run.
{Background}
Grevious' trap was sprung and the jaws of the CIS army were closing in around Coruscant, a Republic that had stood for thousands of years was helpless and bleeding out, just waiting for that final blaster-shot to end it for good. As it happened, the droid that would fire that final shot was Steely.
Though he wasn't called that at the time. Back then he was just another number, one of countless indistinguishable from the vast the droid army. He'd rolled off the production line mid-way through the war and was purposed as a command unit, leading troop operations across the galaxy in a wide range of theatres. He survived through chance not skill. B1s were no match for clone troopers, they made up for it with numbers.
As luck would have it though this particular battle-droid was at Coruscant in the last push of the war and after Grevious' capital ship bombardment reduced the capital to ashes Steely was among the wave of ground forces sent down to kill anything that hid in the rubble.
Heavily armed cortosis droids were dispatched to the jedi temple to finish what remained of the Order, but Steely led his team to the senate building with orders to execute all that still lived...That's when things changed.
Steely wasn't quite able to explain what happened down there in the ruins, he didn't have a memory wipe but something in him had difficulty recalling the events. He'd seen conflict before of course and had killed plenty of helpless innocents; but something about what happened on Coruscant was different. And so was he.
Steely felt he no longer simply a number, but an individual, one who was done with war and wanted to be free. He needed to leave Coruscant, leave the CIS and the Separatists for good. He wasn't sure where he to go, just away.
So one hastily commandeered freight ship later, he was off, fleeing to the outer-rim, calling himself Steely and nursing a grudge against the CIS army who he viewed as enslaving him. Since then he has been almost aimless, trying to find himself on the edge of the galaxy, drifting from one side to another as a gun for hire.
@Whirligig I'm not a GM or anything, however, how does one Pilot a Tri-Fighter?. They are designed with an integrated Droid Brain, basically, they are a droid.
It also has no hyperdrive but that would be a secondary issue.

You'll struggle to find a Separatist ship that needs a pilot below a shuttle that needs a pilot with the rare exception of a Belbullab-22 which if Grevious was at Coruscant and his guard was there, there is a chance you could have come across one.
They're even hyperdrive equipped for extra plot convenience!
Hmm... I haven't been in a SWRP like this in a long time. Nor have I been here in a long time. Would you say there might still be active Clone Military Units under the direction of certain Jedi at this point? I've got an old one I could bring in with some new additions.
I meant to respond to this last night but got distracted, but in short the answer is not just a yes, but a firm yes. Both the Mandalorian Republic and the Renkar Imperium utilize clone troopers to a large extent, with the former having provided shelter and new worlds for the Kaminoans and the latter discovering secret cloning facilities to use for their own nefarious ends. Not just that, but almost 30% of all Clone forces ended up within the Empire after the Clone Wars in order to continue fighting, while a majority went to the Mandalorian Republic to serve what is known as The Republic in Exile.
@Sep Having a Separatist ship would be neat but just that, not at all essential for the character, as long as it's plausible a Belbullab-22 would fit the bill then. Failing that, I'll give him a random ship swiped of Coruscant
@Alfhedil Alright. One more question, what's the status of the Kuat Shipyards? As in what allegiance?
My idea is having a unit of clones serving as an active battlegroup with their Jedi General, with a large percentage of them having survived due to them having been assigned near the border of the Unknown Regions.
Their Command Ship is somewhat of a prototype that would have come before the Imperial Super Star Destroyers had things gone as they would have in the main continuity. The "Verigator" Class Republic Battleship.
It's a Fanon Design, though sticks very close to what was available in Lore. Designed based off of older Mandalorian Battle Cruisers and obviously the Venator-class Destroyer. Can be balanced to whatever would fit, though I figured it could work with the group of Jedi aligned with the Mandalorians. Info about it (from EaW FoC Clone Wars Mod) states it was designed by Kuat with the inspiration above.
@Shiny Keldeo I'll go through one by one to clarify things as best I can.
@Alfhedil Alright. One more question, what's the status of the Kuat Shipyards? As in what allegiance?
Kuat was sacked by the Republic in Exile when they refused to assist in resupplying the Open Circle Fleet. Their databases were looted and burned, the ring was broken and most of their ships that weren't outright destroyed were stolen by ARC troopers. The planet itself was later taken in by the Corellian Hegemony and the driveyards were somewhat restored, but the days of KDY dominating starship design are over and it will likely be decades before they can ever get back what they lost. This is actually one of the core reasons why the Mandalorian Republic isn't that popular with the other states.
My idea is having a unit of clones serving as an active battlegroup with their Jedi General, with a large percentage of them having survived due to them having been assigned near the border of the Unknown Regions.
This is fine, though I am wondering if you're detailing out your own independent organization or just a small group or what. In the case of the later I suppose would like to see them talked about a bit as an addendum to a character sheet, but in the former might see it preferable to make like a CS of sorts for the organization itself.

We have already commented previously in regards to fanon, as most of the time it's a bit of a shitshoot on what does and doesn't work. A lot of fanon outright contradicts what is stated in Legends and Canon, or is just personal headcannon from various people that really just doesn't make a lot of sense. I prefer greatly to avoid such things.
Another thing entirely is the idea of allowing one player to have access to such a large vessel. While I am fairly flexible on things and don't mind each player having their own ship, I do have limits. Someone starting out with a dreadnought is pretty well beyond that, not going to lie. Even if it is for their own organization that had ties to the old republic.
Alright, here is what I've cobbled together so far for the CS. If anything is unclear or needs to be modified, please let me know!
Iron Leader Ro Nuul, Jedi Ace
{Full Name}
Ro Nuul
{Age}
32
{Species}
Kel Dor
{Gender}
Male
{Force Sensitive/Alignment}
Yes - Light Jedi
{Appearance}
Ro Nuul is a rather unassuming figure, standing in at only 5' 7" and weighing a mere hundred and twenty pounds. He wears a traditional white Jedi tunic with a brown leather tabard, with his master's busted chronometer clearly visible due to Ro's usual lack of an outer robe in the field. Prominently hanging from his belt on his right side is Ro Nuul's specially crafted blue lightsaber. Also on his utility belt are a small laser welder, a DEMP ion pistol, and a hydrospanner. On Ro Nuul's face, he always wears protective goggles over his silver eyes and a breath mask over his mouth to keep him alive outside of Dorin's atmosphere.
{Equipment and Personal Belongings}
Ro Nuul tries to only keep the basics on him at any moment. He keeps his blue lightsaber on his belt at all times. When in the field, Ro keeps a DEMP Ion Pistol on his belt as well as a rather small laser welder and hydrospanner for emergency repairs.
Within the cockpit of the Dauntless II, Ro keeps a few emergency repair patches close on hand at all times. In his ejector seat, Ro keeps a flare gun strapped under the seat for emergencies in the event of a planetary crash. He also keeps a majority of his repair supplies stored carefully in a case in the floor of the cockpit. This includes some basic supplies and parts, as well as a hyperdrive accentuator and a repair torch. His master's Astromech Droid, R3-S2, acts as a trusty companion helping to monitor Ro's starfighter and accentuate his skills.
Of course, Ro Nuul's most prized possession is a modified and updated Ecta-3 Actis-Class interceptor which he personally calls the Dauntless II. Part of what makes this ship stand out is what has been removed: the advanced targeting systems and extra armor and shields added in this later model have been stripped. However, its increased weapon capabilities make up for its lacking defense. This Ecta-3 has two missile launchers, instead of ion cannons. One missile launcher is a proton torpedo launcher, while the other is a concussion missile launcher. This highly modified starfighter was crafted specifically for him as the leader of Iron Squadron.
{Physical Abilities}
Ro Nuul's physical skills predominantly lie in the flying and maintanance of various starships. Ro is an exceptional Jedi pilot, trained in piloting anything from a Starfighter to landing a military cruiser with relative safety. He feels most at home when in a smaller vehicle, where he is capable of tight maneuvering and a relentless hostility in combat. Ro's skills as a "mechanic" are marginal, as he often makes use of certified engineers and droids. When the job calls for it, however, Ro is able to do quick patches to damaged vehicles as needed.
As a Jedi, noting Ro's focus on defensive lightsaber forms seems necessary. He is a near master in the Soresu form, though also has proficiency in Shii-Cho and Ataru to flavor into combat to add an offensive flair. As a Kel Dor, Ro's reflexes are heightened naturally. His only other combat training includes proficiency with his blaster and ion pistols, following his memory of the Cortosis battle droids on Coruscant decades ago.
{Force Abilities}
Ro is trained in most of the basic Force Abilities taught to padawans under the old Jedi Order. He can push and pull, defend against such attacks, or use the force to move faster and jump higher. However, his skill in these abilities is a little below par for a Jedi Knight with the decades of training he has. Abilities in which Ro excels, however, are in his ability to communicate telepathically with most sentient beings and to use the force to anticipate oncoming attacks with spectacular ease. Both abilities were part of Ro's specialized training in becoming a Jedi Ace. Communicating Telepathically across longer distances was simply a helpful tool to utilize in instances when technological communication was impossible. His force precognition helps Ro Nuul to maneuver complex dogfights without taking even a hit.
{Limitations}
Ro's limitations exist primarily in the physical. He does not have a strong constitution or great strength, making him less effective as a lightsaber duelist or soldier. He is most comfortable piloting than he is on a battlefield, though his bold and brash nature in the cockpit often places him in dangerous situations. Ro finds it difficult to sit back and watch any form of injustice or corruption take place due to his strong moral code instilled by his first master, and would naturally place the Jedi Knight into situations in which he is horribly outmatched for the sake of protecting "the little guy."
{Personality}
Jedi Ace Ro Nuul does his best to embody the old ways of the Jedi Order, while being conflicted by the somewhat stereotypical brashness of an ace pilot. Ro Nuul's primary focus has always been on restoring peace and order in the galaxy since the Knightfall. Every action he has is geared towards returning the galaxy to its state before the Clone Wars, and to a time of freedom from tyranny and war for all the peoples of the galaxy. When in the Jedi Temple, Ro Nuul is even tempered and tries to act with the civility of the Jedi Knights at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant from his youth.
However, Ro Nuul is not a fool who ignores the need for the Jedi to act as warriors in the coming war. He has been one of the most vocal proponents to any who would listen on the need for the Jedi Order and the Jedi Starfighter Corps to play an active role in peacekeeping. In his ideal scenario, the Jedi Knights would lead the charge in striking at the CIS and the Empire to reinstall the Galactic Republic, and the Mandalorians are the perfect allies in this quest. He is rather bold and risky when it comes to space combat, taking the lead to strike fast and hard against the enemy to throw them off balance and let his squad-mates clean up the rest. It takes all of his restraint for Ro to not take his starfighter rogue and strike at Imperial and CIS supply routes on his own.
{Place of Origin}
Ro Nuul was initially born on Dorin, but was quickly discovered to be force sensitive and was sent to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Following Knightfall, Ro Nuul moved to the Jedi Enclaves on Mandalore.
{Background}
Ro Nuul's life was rather uneventful before the Knightfall. He was adopted into the Jedi Order when he was very young, and was stationed at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. As a youngling, Ro Nuul seemed to excel in little. He was not particularly a quick study in any of the basic skills. His connection to the force was not above average, and Ro Nuul took quite some time to take to the Shii-Cho lightsaber form. He passed the trials to become a Padawan by the skin of his teeth, and became Padawan to one of the more pacifist members of the Jedi Order, Jedi Knight Torvo Rocalli. Torvo was always more invested in peacekeeping operations in regions away from the war. When backwater planets managed to implore the Jedi for help in some way, Torvo was always one who tried to answer the call. These missions often involved sending supplies, which gave Ro the first taste of his natural proficiency piloting shuttles and light freighters.
Everything changed during the Knightfall, of course. Ro and Torvo had hitched a ride back to Coruscant on board a Venator Class Star Destroyer, the Dauntless, to meet with a member of the Jedi Council to implore them to send more aid to Dantooine following a series of famines. Of course, the meeting never happened. Ro and Torvo watched as an enemy fleet arrived. Republic forces mobilized, and the Dauntless was boarded by Battle Droids. Ro's greatest moment of fear and weakness arrived when he watched Cortosis Battle Droids round the corner and overwhelm his own master. His master's pleas for Ro to run and escape echo in his head even to this day. Ro made his way to the hangar and boarded his master's starfighter and ran. His last view of Coruscant was watching the Dauntless get torn apart once its shield generator failed. It was at that point Ro was able to sync up to a stray hyperspace ring and escape just as CIS starfighters had scrambled to approach him. Ro pleaded with his master's astromech to take him anywhere, and the droid set the astronavigation for Dantooine.
Ro spent two and a half years hiding in absolute fear at the old Jedi Enclave there. It was here as well where Ro first picked up a DEMP Ion pistol and began training with it out in the wilderness of the planet. It was there he managed to meet Jedi Ace Garel Tychin, who took up Ro as his Padawan. Garel had escaped the Seige of Coruscant in a manner similar to Ro, and shared in Ro's survivor's guilt for leaving his brothers in the Jedi Order to die. The Jedi Ace focused Ro's training on starfighter piloting and dogfighting using their Delta-7 Aethersprite Interceptors. The Padawan displayed incredibly proficiency, and he took quickly to his training in the force as well in a way that he hadn't prior to the Knightfall. His first teachings in his telepathic connection to the force and his precognition were properly developed under the teachings of Master Tychin. When the Dantooine Enclave learned of the reforming of the Jedi Order at Mandalore, they jumped at the opportunity to rejoin the structure of Jedi life. Ro was able to finish his training under Tychin.
Three years after the Knightfall, Ro completed the Knight Trials at the Jedi Enclaves at Mandalore. Once he was a Jedi Knight, he was permitted to continue his pilot training. After another two years, Ro was asked to become an assistant instructor at the newly burgeoning Flight Academy on Concordia. Ro, even as a young Jedi Knight, showed enough promise that he rose through the instructor ranks rather quickly. Eight years after the Knightfall, Ro was granted the official title of Jedi Ace. By the 15th year after the Knightfall, Ro had become the predominant instructor of ace pilots at the Academy, which boasted Jedi and military graduates.
Of course, Ro Nuul has grown tired and weary of his role meerly as a trainer in the Mandalorian Navy. While bound by his oaths to the Jedi Council at Mandalore, the Jedi Ace yearns for the day when he can strike at the CIS and Empire directly. While only a formality of sorts, Jedi Knight Ro Nuul has gathered together his so-called "Iron Squadron," which consists of the top Jedi, Mandalorean, and Clone pilots to graduate from his dogfighting program. His role as an instructor keeps him bound from combat for now... but he knows that his talents will be much appreciated when the growing tensions explode into a full out war.
Alright, though I still have somewhat of an idea for it. Possibly not a game starter, but more of an end goal. Could have gotten designs for it from Kuat, and brought it to them as one of those "This could turn the tide" kind of macguffins. If not, I can leave that out altogether.
Anyways, I'm a guy who likes to use a lot of characters. Will likely make CS's for the major ones later down the line, but here's a short blurb of what I have in mind in that area:
- Jedi Master Kellyn Rolin Kellyn was a Corellian born male who served in the Clone Wars as part of a small Jedi Strike Team (somewhat like the Shadows, but focused on the War Effort rather than Ancient Dark Artifacts and Relics) that was almost completely wiped out a few months into the war. He was then assigned to the 117th Attack Battalion as their Jedi General, a unit he continues to serve with to this day.
- Jedi Knight Teela Kamara Teela was a Twilek Jedi and former Padawan to Kellyn Rolin. She was taken under his wing shortly before their eventual assignment to the 117th. Before the Fall of Coruscant, she underwent her trials to become a Knight of the Jedi Order. Following Knightfall, she and her Master, with their unit, regrouped with survivors and eventually joined those who took refuge on Mandalore. She eventually took on a Padawan of her own. She was trained in many of the skills her Master had been in his time as part of his squad.
- Jedi Padawan Ashira Kena A Togruta female and Padawan Learner to Teela Kamara. She has not been with her master for very long, but in this era you learn quick or fall quicker.
- Senior Clone Commander CC-7501 "Bronze" A survivor from the Clone Wars, he was and still serves as the commanding officer of the 117th Clone Battalion. A veteran of Geonosis, he's seasoned in the tactics of what was formerly the CIS and now the Empire. His preferred weapon of choice is the Z-6 Rotary Blaster Cannon. As well, he's the head of a small strike team of his best men, nicknamed "Hailfire Squad".
- Admiral Edward Millon Serving as a Naval Officer during the Clone Wars, Millon's Fleet was stationed along the edge of the Unknown Regions when Coruscant fell. At the discretion of the Jedi General he served alongside, his fleet known as the Excalibur Battlegroup linked up with surviving forces at Mandalore. They've served as a defensive force and offensive battle fleet since that time.
- 117th Attack Battalion A holdout from the Clone Wars, this unit is made up of veterans of the War and fresh troopers created by the Kaminoans and other various cloning facilites at Mandalore's discretion.
@Shiny Keldeo So the ideas are okay, but maybe to many at once? It would be better to start out with one or two characters with a medium amount of pull at best. Since we aren't playing to heavily on the galactic scale and most of the combat organization is left to the Mandalorians.
That's not to say you couldn't have a small faction but it would better to downplay it as background more than have all these characters in use.

_______________________________________________
Appearance:
Standing at around 6 feet, with a wiry, agile frame, Rhand would probably blend in with the masses if it wasn't for his blue skin and red eyes. With short, grey-blue hair and a suave smirk on his face, he could be considered handsome, among his species.
Typically clad in spacer's leathers and dusters, Rhand doesn't look like he spends much on his clothing. He also has an odd smell about him; vaguely reminiscent of smoke and oil.
_______________________________________________
Physical Abilities:
An excellent starpilot, a good shot with a blaster, and an adequate engineer.
_______________________________________________
Limitations:
Despite being a good shot, Rhand would stand little chance against a full-time warrior, such as a Mandalorian, or a Jedi Knight.
His arrogance, and his vices, often come back to haunt him.
_______________________________________________
Equipment & Personal Belongings:
A trusty blaster pistol, a pazaak deck, the clothes on his back, and enough credits to get by... for a little while.
_______________________________________________
Personality:
Although he may not have an abundance of self-confidence, the life that Rhand has been thrust into sort of requires ego, so he's got pretty good at acting like an obnoxious dick to avoid looking weak - so much so that he has began to believe it, to a degree.
Like many conmen, he is charming - or at least, he thinks he is. With a personality that some may find charismatic and disarming, and others, obnoxious and irritating, Rhand would most often describe himself as 'likeable', 'smart' and 'devilishly good-looking.'
Beneath the surface, Rhand has a cowardice and uncertainty that he is often eager to hide. As much as he likes to believe he is untouchable, he is an extremely insecure man. A thief and a backstabber, he may act quick to trust but is unlikely to trust anyone without a strong bond and some time between them.
Despite his shortcomings, Rhand is good at heart. When he truly cares for someone, he is loyal and kind, and sheds his cocky visage. The only issue is the rarity of that circumstance.
_______________________________________________
History:
The son of a deserter, Rhand grew up an orphan as one of the only Chiss in known space, accompanied only by his brother, Odran.
Mriqo'vhen'karik, known commonly as Ovhenk, was a military man by trade. A gifted pilot, and a servant of the Chiss Ascendancy, Ovhenk reared two children; Odran, and Rhand. After a dispute unknown to Rhand, Ovhenk fled Csilla, stealing a ship and venturing into Corellian space. Thus, Rhand never knew his home planet, with his family settling on the Outer Rim planet of Scarif. Being a Chiss, an unknown race to most, Rhand and his family were generally mistrusted, and his father struggled to find work; though he eventually was employed as a starpilot for the planet's militia.
Having never known his mother, and his father busy serving in the Clone Wars, Rhand relied primarily on Odran for care, with his elder brother somehow finding credits and food for the both of them. In the end, their father did not return from the Clone Wars, and the two boys were left to fend for themselves, with Odran aged 13, and Rhand 5. Odran quickly learned that crime was the only way to keep the two of them fed, stealing and swindling for credits. Rhand quickly followed in his footsteps, and the two would often pull cons together. Before long, they were unwelcome on Scarif.
Over the years, Rhand and Odran would skip from planet to planet, often as stowaways, usually fleeing from individuals they had stolen from or cheated. In the process of planet-hopping, the brothers crossed paths with a Bith engineer named F'taza in a spaceport on Onderon. They impressed F'taza with their cunning, and he took pity on them, offering them work in exchange for food and shelter. With that, the duo settled on Onderon, living in the back of a workshop, with Odran becoming F'taza's apprentice. Rhand, still only a boy of 10, learned the basics of engineering - but took much more of a shine to piloting, as he would often test-drive pods and speeders for F'taza.
At age 14, Rhand was visited by a Corellian agent, a friend of F'taza's, and was offered a place in the piloting academy on Corellia. Wishing to follow in his father's footsteps, he agreed, leaving behind Odran for the first time in years. Though an exceptionally talented pilot, Rhand struggled with discipline, often sneaking out to drink with other students, and arguing with his instructors. After graduating from the academy, Rhand was given a permenant starpilot role, and was given enough time to return to Onderon to visit his brother, who was now flourishing as an engineer under F'taza.
One year, when Rhand made his visit to Onderon, now aged 20, he could not find his brother, nor F'taza. After doing some digging, he learned of F'taza's death, with his brother now embroiled in cartel business. Despite orders to return to duty, Rhand made his way into Hutt space, where he sought out his brother. Eventually, Rhand found Odran on the moon of Nar Shaddaa. Odran revealed his heavy debts to a Hutt named Ubban. Rationalizing that his brother had cared for him for so many years alone, Rhand demanded that half of Odran's debts be transferred to him, and so he too became involved in Hutt business.
For a while, Rhand tried to pay off the debt via his work under the Corellians, but Ubban was impatient. Rhand began to run smuggling jobs on the side, working with mercenaries and bounty hunters behind closed doors. Slowly, the debt was being paid. Aged 22, he was discovered by Corellian agents who declared him under arrest. Panicking, Rhand shot them both and fled Corellia, returning to Nar Shaddaa.
Having destroyed his career as a pilot, Rhand found himself without a job. Despite almost having paid Ubban off completely, Rhand resorted to taking a loan of his own, spending it on a busted-up old freighter that he bought from a Toydarian. With Odran, he patched the freighter up, and the two began to make smuggling runs. The next year or so of Rhand's life was one of debt, dogfights, smuggling and shooting - and yet, it was perhaps the happiest he had ever been. Although Odran had turned out to be somewhat of a sleazebag, he still cared deeply for Rhand, and the two would tour cantinas across the Outer Rim, playing pazaak, drinking and living like spacers, doing jobs for Ubban all-the-while. Whatever discipline was left in Rhand from flight academy was expunged, and he joined his brother in the sleazebaggery.
By 24, Rhand was within reaching distance of being debt-free. Eager to get Ubban off of his back, and hungry to make a profit of his own, he took on an important smuggling job for the Hutt, taking a large ammount of counterfeits to Karvoss II, a planet well within Corellian space. After landing in the space port, and setting the deal in motion, Rhand was clocked by a Corellian soldier who recognised him, due to his kind's rarity. A gunfight transpired, and Rhand was forced to flee, leaving behind his brother and the ship, and paying a trader off for passage out of Corellian space.
Wracked with guilt for leaving Odran, and wanted by both the Corellians and Ubban the Hutt, Rhand crumbled, landing himself in some backwater Cantina on some backwater planet. For several weeks he drowned his sorrows, before a lucky hand of pazaak put some credits back in his pocket. Lost, and unsure of where to head next, Rhand set out on his next journey.
