@Enkryption

Yeah I'm seriously considering giving her a name like Mamo or something like that. Mamoru's Clone is just a mouthful you know? But at the same time, it's still essentially the same Mamoru, but a clone. While she lacks the original's abilities she still has the same attitude and personality, even if somewhat more self-aware of her inevitable nature. It's like, anything Mamoru says or does is pretty much spot on for how the original would act.

Makes sense. It's just an extension of her will, after all.

Yeah not to mention that in an actual fight, Mamoru does use her clone precisely to confuse her enemies about which one is the real her. They're straight up Shadow Clones but without the ability to use individual Jutsu. This would be more notable if/when she uses them for a fight and then you'd only have context clues to rely on if the Mamoru you're fighting is the real her or a copy based off whatever can be suss out from the text, and by extension what her opponent can deduce.

Probably super-useful in most fights. Chuunitrixx will "seed" a room with Proxies and Sentries, and turn the room into 'Prey' with explosives and bullets that walk around.

Ye. Tbh when I was still but a youth I loved the idea of clones as a power because it allows both the easy tactic of just zerging your opponent with numbers, while at the same time since the clones think more or less like you if you had the mind to do so you can fight in a more tactical method. Teamwork is the most OP of powers after all, and Clones with your own thoughts and memories help bypass the whole "getting to know and understand the rhythm of your partner" part of teamwork.

I, honestly, don't think Chuunitrixx will ever have a fight scene. There's almost no feasible means to combat Chuunitrixx without dropping a Nuke/Ultima on Enderall to just erase her and all her Mimics, and remove Chuunitrixx's armies and body-doubles.

On one hand, this is an Overlord RP so the chances of our characters facing an actual threat is slim-to-none without a lot of self-imposed restrictions like minimizing collateral damage or something. On the other hand, therein lies the possibility of PvP via World Artifacts or some such, not to mention unlike in the anime we're level 60 and not 100. While there's still not a lot of things in this world that would be of any real threat, there could be if they're smart about it.

To put it in perspective, we're effectively the monsters in your typical D&D game. We have completely busted skills and abilities no PC's can truly get. But that doesn't mean a party of PC's can't defeat us if we're careless or if they properly prepare to deal with us. I vaguely remember that one of the Nazarick maids actually was in danger of really being killed by one of the new worlders, albeit one of their strongest mages, so it's still possible. So if the new worlders are willing to cheese us via mechanics that is unique to their world and not ours (Martial Arts for example), there is a chance they could win that we might not foresee.

But that's also why some of us have been sent out to scout the world and figure out what it can and can't do. Nothing more embarrassing than getting your Overlord on and getting wiped out but what is actually an industrial-like magitech verse.

Salem is actually a doable boss battle that requires perseverance, endurance, and lots of healing, or using one of their hard counters, of which Graft has one (his item that destroys other items would wreck Salem by specifically targeting Salem's item durability mechanics), but any class that focuses on breaking items, as long as they can survive Salem's onslaught, would be a major threat to Salem.

The insect maid Entoma, who was at a level of 51, was almost killed by three members of the Blue Roses, an adamantite ranked team which is the highest rank a team can get. For a while Tia[A Ninja] and Gagaran[A Warrior] put up a pretty good fight but didn't have the strength between the two of them to win, especially with all the high-ranked equipment she possessed. But then Evileye[A Vampire] joined the fight with an insecticide spell and powerful magic that quickly turned the tide in the party's favor. Considering Evileye had pretty much the perfect counters to Entoma she could probably have taken her out even without her teammates help, though with some trouble, mostly because of Entoma's high-end equipment.

Considering we are at most 9 levels above Entoma it is most certainly possible that a well-equipped, high level party would have the means to kill a chapter keeper. Still, they would have to be at least adamantite in power, or have a lot of high level adventurers, to have a decent chance of winning, otherwise it would be like an under level mob trying to take down a raid boss.

New world entities that could probably easily kill our level 60, or below, characters would be the Dragon Lords, the Elf King, and the God-kin, who are the descendants of previous players and New World residents. So while most of our characters can easily wipe out most enemies with ease there are still a decent amount of opponents to watch out for, not that you're very likely to run across any of them of course.

Considering the New World that Tree has made for us is completely different from the canon Maruyama-Overlord New World, I don't think it's safe to assume that we can beat up on anyone and everyone. We don't really know if there are things like the Dragon Lords, the Elf King, Adamantite Adventurers or World Items that could muck us up. For all we know, a regular old ogre in this New (Tree) World could be level 55. I doubt anyone would have any issue dealing with peasant or mook soldiers, but something tells me Tree isn't just going to let us roflstomp the local inhabitants of this world like Ainz and his crew does. :P

Indeed. I've no doubt we can easily crush a small frontier village and a few mook cultists, but if we go into a bigger city or square off against an army, we might be in for a bit of a surprise.

Heh. Seeing people wonder whether this is going to be a steamroll power wank rp or a "The kobolds are the actual scariest things" rp.

Overall though, like I said, stats are mostly fiat. Things are strong, and things are weak, and we're somewhere on the beginning of being strong. Y'all shall see though.

Y'all shall see.

It's the middle of January, and we haven't had any snow since late November... Yeah, no, global warming is 'totes a myth. Completely normal to have a temperature of 10C in winter, no doubt.

On a different note, where ya'll at? D:

Graft and Salem gonna start a nuclear war between Chapter 1 and 2 if this keeps going... xD

And Flan is gonna vivisect Chuunitrixx in the kitchen...

It's barely been a full day in the New World, and the members of the Chateau are already trying to rip each other apart... Seems this crew ain't as united as Nazerick, huh?

Now all we need is for Aurora to start going all "Holier-than-thou" on someone and then we can all watch the house of cards implode! 8D
