”It’s quite obviously your childish appearance.” Torvi teased with a smirk at Bowyn’s comment about being called childish. Truth be told, his retort almost made her giggle and she had to hide it behind a sip of her drink. They both had quite different approaches when it came to new people, but that was okay. Bowyn and Little Blue seemed to have the same cheekiness to them and while Torvi could be the same, she figured having three people acting that way may turn into a fight. So she’d decided to try and be the middleman here, the voice of reason, if you will.

What she hadn’t expected was a twinge of guilt that hit her at the mention of Bowyn losing his home for a second time. While Bowyn seemed to blame the elves who’d brought her and the other humans here, she couldn’t help but blame herself for it. The guilt crossed over her face as she glanced at Bowyn sadly. A part of her wanted to apologize to him, but she kept it to herself for now. Their companions may think it quite odd if she did so.

She picked up on Little Blue’s mention of how the humans hadn’t asked to be there and Torvi scoffed just a little. ”That they did not.” The words came out of her mouth before she could really think about them and she tried to cover it up with taking a drink of her mead again. The drink was once again almost gone and the impulsive part of her wanted to order another, but the logical part of her said it probably wasn’t a great idea to become completely inebriated so early in the day. So she set what remained down, wanting to make it last for as long as she could.

”The Moon Elf Village you say?” She quickly latched onto this subject, wanting to avoid any questions of her previous comment. ”I have a few fond memories from the Moon Elf Village.” She said with a grin as she stole a glance at Bowyn. She thought back to their time there while traveling to Roshmi. ”There’s a very sweet tailor there, Ucona is her name. She was kind enough to give me a deal on clothes once.” What she neglected to say was that the ‘deal’ she got was unbeknownst to poor Ucona. This was right around the time that both Bowyn and Torvi realized that Torvi was best at distracting the shopkeeper while Bowyn stole what they needed. Poor Ucona was a victim of such a con a few days ago.

Elleta’s offer of help to them was quite curious to Torvi as she now became a tad bit more suspicious of the two. She’d been questioning them ever since they’d sat down, but now she felt like it had been confirmed that they were here to do more than just make friends. ”It’s been a pleasure meeting the both of you as well, thoughI’m quite intrigued with what you would like to assist us with?” She grinned at the elven woman, wondering what her answer would be. It was at this time as well that she noticed a cloaked figure take a seat at the table next to theirs. She eyed him suspiciously for a moment as the man had kept his hood up. There was no point in keeping a hood on indoors unless you were trying to hide your identity. That fact alone immediately made her wary of the man. For now she’d just keep an eye on him.

Little Blue offered to buy them the next round of drinks or food if they desired and Torvi gave the woman a smile. ”That’s very kind of you. I personally wouldn’t mind some food. How about you?” She responded, directing the last question at Bowyn. She figured if they were offering free food or drinks there was no harm in taking them up on it. Never refuse free food or money, that was a good rule to live by in her books.

Xenelith

Time: Morning ==> Noon
Location: Love Lounge ==> Roshimi Market
Interaction with: Azriel@Tae, Jack@Alivefalling, Zelginn@Dezuel

Xenelith didn’t deign the annoying child a response. He was too young and too stupid to understand the necessities of a long life. The skaula was doing its job excellent though, as was his companion for an hour. “Dispatch the child, Azriel. We have no time for meaningless riddles.” He said as he rose up. “I think I’ll retire to my room.” The girl led him by the arm to one of the more luxurious rooms and closed the door. For an hour the Dark Elf commander would not be reachable. After the hour though, most of the skaula had done its job. Two dark elves, that hadn’t accompanied the group, had arrived and were standing guard at his room’s door. When he finally came out they delivered their news with practiced neutrality: Lord Terneus had been attacked at the market. He narrowly survived the assassination attempt. It filled Xenelith with utter joy, knowing that that pompous bastard had the life scared out of him at least once. Though those were private matters. Terneus Andros was a civil servant of Aklenroth. He ordered his guards to bring him to the site.

On their way, Xenelith got the full briefing. It gave the dark elf commander plenty to think about. He had almost sunken too deep into his own thoughts to feel the rustling on his purse. Almost, but not quite. Without turning around he grabbed whatever arm was grabbing his coins. Then he turned to face the thief. Though he had to look down to do so. It was a kid, no older than 12. A bear demi-human. He looked scrawny but a fire burned in his eyes.

“Let me go!” he yelled at Xenelith as he tried to fight the iron grip. “Let me go!”

“What do you think you’re doing?” the dark elf commander asked.

“Nothing you pale skinned freak!” the cub yelled out as he kept fighting. “Let me go! I’ve done nothing!”

Such lies with such a straight face. Combined with such boldness. There was a clear fire in the bear child’s eyes. Few would’ve dared to insult a dark elf to his face these days. Xenelith did let him go. The moment he released his grip the cub bolted away as if Xenelith was death itself. Xenelith for his part, slowly took out a stack of coins from his pouch, held them up and yelled: “Hey kid!”

When the child was sure he got far enough he turned around and saw the dark elf holding up the stack of coins. Slowly he put the money on the edge of the nearby fountain. He said something the child couldn’t hear to his dark elf guards. They began to walk away, Xenelith quickly followed. The kid kept his eyes on them and everywhere around. The stack of amass was attractive. Soon the hunger in him overtook his cautiousness. He ran for the stack and grabbed it all in one fell swoop, then he ran. Far, far away. Assuming it was some wicked trap and he would be caught as a thief by some other dark elf guards tipped off. But nobody stopped him as he ran. Nobody chased him. Eventually he ran straight for the best bakery in town.

“You shouldn’t have done that sir.” A dark elf said as he looked back to see the cub take the money. “The kid is as good as dead anyway. This city, it’s like flour’s being billowed up by blacksmith’s bellows. One spark and everything goes wrong.” His eyes turned forward again and scanned everyone passing. He gripped the hilt of his sword tightly as if he could be attacked at any moment.

Xenelith’s eyes fell on more satisfying results. In the distance, a few deadened trees. Though he wasn’t deaf to his guard’s musings. “When this city blows up, who do you think is going to get out faster? A noble desperately filling his cart with gold and clogging the main streets or an orphan that knows all the alleyways and sewers.”

“Still, you shouldn’t have done it sir.” The dark elf said. “Their kind didn’t send money when we were starving on Daka. They send nothing. They left us to rot.” There was a real bitterness in the dark elf’s voice.

“And now I chose to be better than them.” Xenelith said.

The marketplace was still busting with people. Despite the assassination attempt mere hours ago. Only a section of the market was cordoned off by heavy armored dark elf guards holding massive iron tower shields up. Their very presence created a barrier between them that only a select few could cross. Xenelith passed along with just a mere nod. Before him was not much. A few smaller animals. Dead and crushed. Some cake on the ground and an arrow lodged in the wall, angling downwards.

“Tell me again what happened.” He told one of the dark elf guards as he observed the strange stage.

“It began with a faun, sir. He began to play music right there.” The dark elf pointed at the cart Ilan had mounted earlier in the day. “The music was good, but the Lord-Governor didn’t seem to like it. He tried to confiscate the lyre. Out of nowhere, an arrow lodged itself right next to Terneus. Then critters and beasts suddenly appeared.”

“Did they attack the crowd? At all?” Xenelith asked as he crouched by tiny corpses of some birds slapped out of the air by frantic movement.

“No, sir.” The dark elf guard said. “They flew over and passed all the people to attack the Lord Governor’s men. Aside from a few people running away from the chaos, not a citizen was harmed. Then once more out of the chaos a centaur dashed forward, threw a cake at Terneus and ran away with the faun.”

Xenelith was rather impressed by the stoic expression of his guide to the crime scene. He knew for a fact all dark elves would be laughing their asses off in private the moment they heard the news. Even he cracked a smile. Though it quickly faded again. Certainly the situation had a comedic element. “Anything more?”

“Yes sir. A shady figure, I couldn’t quite catch who or what it was, took the lyre from the lord governor. Then the lord governor just vanished. In thin air. I’m sorry sir, we lost track of him.” The soldier reported. Rather solemnly.

“I understand, soldier.” Light Elves and their invisibility. It made them dangerous assassins indeed. Daka’s wolves were quite apt adept sniffing them out in the wild, but a city mingled too many smells. The trail would’ve long faded by now. “I will inquire about the Lord Governor’s location.” Though if the man was caught, he alone was to blame for it. Never the less he already forged his plans to leverage the situation. An attack on a high ranking civil servant of Aklenroth would only drive more power in his own hands.

His focus returned to the scene before him. The cake was meaningless. Rather hopeful he outstretched his hand over one of the birds. Silently begging Halastra to heed his call. Nothing happened. The dead did not rise up. Once more he was confronted with the limits of his power. Rather disgruntled he said: “Fine.” And turned his focus on the arrow. Luckily the guards had kept it in the wall. With one eye he followed the shaft upwards. “Nobody saw anything on the roofs?” He asked.

“Nothing, sir.” The dark elf said.

It had to come from the roofs. If it came from an amora further away, the assassin would certainly fail. If the amora was closer to ensure an accurate shot, people would’ve noticed it. The clues were strange though. An assassin on the roof, probably an accomplished light elf. That much was certain. But did he wait for Terneus to show up or was the faun planted as bait? One thing was clear though: this was not done by Risa. The girl didn’t have the people or the expertise to pull it off. At the very least there was another band of rebels in the city. One became two. The infestation of Roshimi was showing itself from under the thin veneer of civility.

Intrigued by the would-be assassin, Xenelith decided to scale up the building to the roof he suspected the arrow was fired from. It gave a beautiful vantage point down into the market. Though everyone within the smaller streets was hidden away. His eyes wandered further away. To the grand spires and mansions in the distance. He caught a glimmer of the sky city high in the cloud. For a moment he realized the insane scale of Roshimi and he grew jealous of it.

Time: Late morning
Location: Roshmi city
Interactions:@baraquiel @helo
Ambiance: Shopping street

In the friendly exchange of warriors pride Regulus took his time admiring the detail and precision of Cade´s halberd. It was a truly special gift to have something made for you by a family member. Perhaps it imbued the weapon with some sort of special luck. Regulus believed in such things. The centaur sharp eyes shot up to look into Cade's after hearing his remark. They exchanged a look of mutual understanding. He was starting to suspect Cade and his companions were the kind of people the rebellion was looking for. It made him study the two women at Cade's side more closely as he retreated back to Ilan's side. He regained his composure and straightened his back.

"I am Regulus, a humble archer" He stated simply. It wouldn't be wise to go around and spread the word on the rebellion. They did seem to have some sort of understanding however. Regulus thought it would be wise to speak in a more secluded area of the city. A place where trouble wouldn't soon follow them. He let his mind wander the different places in Roshmi, while Ilan tentatively spoke to the white haired Sakura.

Ilan smiled a small and careful smile, his heart slowly starting to warm to the trio who were strangers no more. There was something about both women, he couldn't put his finger on it. They were different somehow. This meeting reminded him of his first encounter with a human. It gave him the same sort of feeling, as if they were meant to meet. He remembered their names as Sakura mentioned them. Cade was the tall feline warrior, Ayita the smaller elfish woman.

The faun gave them a modest, yet well intended bow. When he rose to meet their gaze, a pleasant expression was on his face. One of genuine delight, his jade eyes shimmering in the late morning sunlight.
"My name is Ilan Mu, a traveling musician by trade"
He wanted to bring out his lyre, instead he realized his precious instrument hadn't been returned to his side yet. Feeling rather embarrassed all of the sudden he did not know where to place his hands, so he clasped them together in a prayer like fashion.

Regulus gently placed a hand on Ilan's narrow shoulders.
"A modest one at that, he plays the sweetest tunes I've heard in years." The centaur compliment Ilan with one of his rare and genuine smiles. The faun smiled a little sheepishly and bit his lip, getting a little flustered.
Regulus turned to Cade, Ayita and Sakura. His eyes darted around the group momentarily, the people who were in ear shot seemed to be minding their own business.
"I suggest a less busy place, where we can get acquainted with one another, discus our shared interests"

He'd given the location some thought. Regulus decided the greenhouse would do nicely. It wasn't as crowded as the marketplace. Also he was certain it would ease the spirits of the startled young Ilan. Regulus felt protective towards the faun. He'd come to know his endless kindness and seeing him upset tugged at his heartstrings, more than he was willing to admit.

Artemis
Time: Noon
Location: Outside of Malthemoor, Daka Island
Interaction: @FunnyGuy Darius | @13org Myra

Artemis fought the urge to laugh when Myra raised her hand and let out a smile. She quickly and gently pulled the handcuffs off of her and her eyes widened with shock. Artemis stared at them as if she had never seen them prior to now and smiled with relief. She began flexing her fingers and roll her neck and shoulders. Loud pops were heard as she extended herself. Artemis let her arms down slowly, as not to startle Myra, and turned to watch her run off to the water source. For a moment, she was confused until the demon returned holding water in her hands. Despite it not being her request, Artemis began to drink the water quickly. Her throat burned savagely. The last she had ate or drank had been the previous night. The Dark Elves wouldn't allow her anymore so she wouldn't have enough strength to rebel against them. How did that workout, she thought? Her sheer will and determination had been enough for her to act on.

When she was done drinking the water, she turned to the interesting man named Darius. His words at first piqued her curiosity, then her expression darkened. Her once warm expression grew dark and stormy. Castle? What castle? Does he mean, Aklenroth's? The shear thought of him caused her to emanate another low growl. That stupid son of a bitch; she would rather die in these woods than return there. Still, these two were nice to her; but what would happen if she returned to the castle? Artemis shook her head. No, no, no. She would never set foot or tail in that treacherous place. Her thoughts began to trail off until he mentioned returning her home to Earth. This silly boy thought she was a human and proved he was not a merman. Artemis tried to fight back laughter, but a few chuckles escaped her.

"You're a delight," Artemis began to stand up on her shaky legs. Her scales were shining, despite the abuse they ahd been suffering. She began to shiver and glanced towards the water. She needed to go to the water; she hadn't fully submerged into water in over ten hours. Her body was beginning to grow sick. The Dark Elves and Orc had figured she'd make due in the bucket until arriving in her new dungeon and would go straight into the tank. Artemis knew if she went that it would be next to impossible to escape. The snowy mountain would have been far too treacherous for her to maneuver on her own. She shakily started to limp towards the forest and let out a few rattled breaths. Her lungs were drying up from the lack of moisture. Artemis tried to move, but her knees unbuckled. Artemis fell back onto the forest floor and gasped in air. Her hair covered miserable expression. She clutched the grass with a scowl while self-hatred filled her due to her lack of ability to walk. Determination flowed through her as she began to crawl towards it.

"I need to... To get to the water. Please.." Tears filled her eyes as she started to cough and shake. Artemis knew going deep in the forest would not the wisest, but she had survived worse and wasn't afraid of it. That begged the question of her companions? She didn't know about them; they were nice but it was suspicious as well. How did they randomly find her? Still, she didn't want another innocent person getting hurt because of her. She gritted her teeth and weighed the odds of survival. If she didn't find the fresh water soon, she would dehydrate and begin to start dying. She hadn't come this far, to only come this far. Artemis beat the grass with her fists in frustration, then attempted to crawl towards the water.

Amas:

"A delight?" Darius wondered why the woman found his excitement amusing. Perhaps he was coming off comically overjoyed. He didn't give it too much thought and just shrugged. Darius could see his reaction being quite humorous in the eyes of someone else. His smile faded however when he watched Artemis stand on her shaky and shiny legs. The scaly patterns over them sparkled as the light coming through the trees hit them. Those are some fancy leggings. The scales nearly distracted him from Artemis' attempt at walking. She was trying to head towards the direction she pointed to. "Hey the amora is back-" Darius' gasped at Artemis' sudden fall into the cold grass.

Darius didn't think about moving to Artemis' side, he just did it. He wasn't sure what was wrong with her, but she needed to get to the body of water beyond the trees ahead. Darius could see Artemis wasn't just begging to go, she was fighting to. Her breaths were strained, her body trembled, but Darius had her.

"Artemis… I got you." Darius said as he got in front of her and lifted her up before cradling her in his arms. He gave Artemis a friendly smile before making his way towards the lake. "I got you." Darius repeated to assure the woman. When the trio reached the lake, Darius took a step by the edge of the shore. "So you want to take a dip in here? Do you know how cold this shit is!?" Darius looked at Artemis, perplexed.

Myra was a bit confused, looking to Darius and turning her head when he mentioned taking Artemis home and even calling her a human. Myra herself didn't know exactly what she was, but she was too different from Darius to be a human. Listening to the sounds after she took off the shackles from her made it clear for Myra that she was being mistreated like that for a good while. Despite that, it seemed like she was satisfied with the water Myra had just brought her, drinkig everything in the blink of an eye and even chuckling a bit after she finished, making Myra smile kindly, knowing she indeed was able to help her.

When she tried to stand up though, Myra realized that she wasn't doing very well. Her legs were shaking and she seemed to not have much strength to walk, making her fall down the moment she tried to give a few steps. When Myra took a better look at her legs, coupled with the words she had said to them, telling that she needed to get to the water only made it even clear she was far from being a human. Her shiny legs did remember her the fishes that lived on the river so she thought that she wanted to go into the water. Maybe she was some kind of fish-person? Luckily, Darius also seemed to realize that very quickly, as he got her into his arms and took her to the water.

Getting close to the lake, Myra saw Darius hesitating for a moment instead of putting her inside. Trying to make him understand what was happening, Myra pointed towards Artemis' legs and then to the water. It wasn't hard to see she was very weak. If she was really some kind of fish-person, that meant she needed water more than just for drinking...

Location: Roshmi City

BGM: Kuroi's Conviction

The vulpine kept his guard up after slashing through the light elf's face. Upon seeing the governor raise his own guard and shift his weight, Kuroi immediately took notice of the elf's incoming kick. He moved in the same direction of the kick, hoping to lessen the impact once he caught it. He shot his arm out and stopped moving once he was sure the kick passed the governor's center line of attack. He caught the kick with his closest arm and instinctively shot his knee up into Terneus' inner thigh. Although catching a metal-encased leg wasn't the best course of action, the constant kneeing into the governor's tender flesh would make the trade worthwhile.

Kuroi let go of the man's leg, shoving him forward as he did so before attempting to make a run for Baraian. He was very well aware of the barrage of light beams that began to fire off from the governor and did his best to act accordingly. There was no time to retrieve either of fans, so with wakizashi in hand, he quickly grabbed Baraian and dove behind a table for temporary safety.

Pain suddenly shot up Kuroi's leg. Although the beam of light hadn't hit him head on, this one was more akin to a graze as opposed to a narrow miss. He bared his teeth as he looked at the nearby window, inhaling as he readied himself to make a run for the window with Baraian. Adrenaline surged within him as Kuroi readjusted his grip around Baraian. He suddenly shot up and ran for the only exit he had as best as possible, doing his best to ignore the pain in his foot and the weight on his shoulder due to how he was carrying his ally. The vulpine charged into the window, using his shoulder to break through it and come out flying into the open. He landed roughly on the cobblestone paved path, having been forced to go limp to prevent damage to himself upon impact. Kuroi glared at the window and let out a small growl before he stood up with Baraian, doing his best to try and escape into the nearby alleyways.

A giggle escaped Azriel’s lips as Zelginn called her a bad woman. That statement was a compliment in her book. ”Thank you, I do strive to be quite terrible. Gotta keep up a reputation after all.” She poured herself some more wine and took a sip. She closed her eyes for a moment and enjoyed the warmth of the alcohol before looking at Zelginn again. ”And what law is there that states I have to be nice to children, hmm? Because if I’m being honest, children are the most fun to torture.” Another giggle escaped her lips, making her sound creepy and a little bit crazy.

She glanced at Xenelith briefly, recognizing that he wasn’t really paying much attention to the conversation at hand. It was quite a pity as he might have been able to learn some interesting information from this so called child. Oh well, it was his loss. She turned her attention back to Zelginn, listening as he spoke. She let him ramble on, watching as he poked the candle and it fell over, rolling almost off the table. She made no move to try and catch it. If things caught aflame it would cause some interesting chaos and the creature in front of her would have been to blame. Zelginn caught it, however, and put it back on the table as he spoke. ”Who’s to say it would have ruined the fun, but instead created a new kind of fun?” She said to him with a grin. It was at this time that food was brought back and set in front of Jack. It was an assortment of breads, cheeses, and fruits. She grabbed a strawberry and began nibbling on it as she listened to Zelginn’s riddle.

At this point, Xenelith told her to dispatch the child as they had no time for riddles. He also got up and decided to retire to his room. A child? I don’t think this creature is really a child, my dear Xenelith, but you’d only realize that if you’d listened to his words. She thought to herself with a smirk while watching him disappear. ”Stomach.” She answered as she slowly turned her gaze back to Zelginn and took another sip of her wine. She then grinned at him, deciding what harm was there in playing along with his little game. ”My turn. I bring back the lost as though never gone, shines laughter and tears with light long since shone. A moment to make me, a lifetime to shed. I’m valued then, but lost when you’re dead. What am I?” She grabbed a piece of cheese and glanced at Jack once more to make sure he was actually eating. Last thing they needed was for their human to die of hunger.

Artemis’ eyes widened with surprise when Darius picked her up. Alarm had started, then relaxed when she knew it was him. She glanced up at his friendly smile and let out a giggle. She hadn’t been picked up like this in years. Briefly, sorrow would flash across her face then disappear again. The memories were nothing more than a reminder of her guilt. She pushed it away and focused on the situation at hand. She clutched Darius and glanced around fearful, as if a Dark Elf would appear and steal away her happiness again. It had been too long since she had been treated with kindness.

Once at the river, Artemis climbed out of Darius’ arms careful and slow. She gripped the cool grass with her toes and smiled faintly at the river. Oh Darius, you silly but delightful human.. Just wait. She turned to see Myra understood the scenario; the demon kept pointing to her legs then to the water. ”What a clever girl. Way to go, Myra.”

Artemis then cleared her throat and glanced at them both. ”May I have a moment of privacy please?” When they both turned away, Artemis then stripped the bodysuit and adjusted her seashell bra. She then limped into the water and sank into it. Once submerged, her tail began to form. There was a brief moment of pain as her torso and lower body began to shift. There were a few snaps and pops, then silence. Her tail was mainly pink iridescent, but other colors weaved through it in an iridescent pattern. She had always loved her tail. The pain didn't bother her either. She had grown used to transforming. Coupled with that and years of abuse, she had grown numb to pain.

Artemis let out a deep, relaxing sigh as her heart rate began to slow down, and her lungs began soaking in the water. She rested her head back and her arms beside her so that her tail was hanging half out of the water. Artemis, knowing the man had never seen a mermaid before, began to snicker. Though she kept in mind he was human, she wanted to prank him just a bit. Artemis lifted her tail into the water and splashed him with it, then went back to hanging her tail out of the water. It wasn’t enough to soak him or drench him, but enough for him to turn around and see. ”So, human huh?” Artemis began to laugh genuinely for the first time in years. ”Does Earth have anyone like me?” Artemis knew the answer would be no and was smirking. ”The cold doesn’t bother me, Darius, just so you know.”

Cade shrugged off Sakura’s concerns of making friends with troublemakers; they certainly couldn’t face the lich king as just a simple trio, no matter how much faith Sakura put in her magic. Anyone willing to challenge the authority of elves seemed like the right sort of troublemakers to him. The two demihumans, an archer and traveling minstrel, made for an odd pair. While the centaur carried himself like a warrior, the faun gave off an air of innocence and he could hardly imagine this young and polite musician initiating conflict had he not seen it with his own eyes. He found them both immediately likable, and his instincts told him he could trust them. Cade trusted both his instincts and his belief that Avalia wished to guide them on this quest. As Regulus suggested continuing the discussion somewhere more discrete, Cade agreed, more than a bit intrigued to see exactly how much trouble these two were capable of getting into.

“An excellent suggestion, the marketplace can get rather crowded this time of day, we had planned on getting lunch about now but I don’t mind waiting a bit longer.” Cade glanced at Sakura and Ayita to see if either had any objections to seeing exactly what Regulus and Ilan where all about. “Perhaps later we could hear you perform, Ilan. We’ve been travelling for bit and I haven’t heard a good tune in far too long.” He added, the last time Cade had the chance to enjoy music was before humans had been summoned to Avalia. Although it had only been a week it certainly felt like longer, so much of his thoughts had been of danger and survival that the chance to meet new people and enjoy simple pleasures was more than welcomed.

Time: Afternoon
Location: Roshmi City

Bowyn listened as the others spoke, finishing what was left of his drink again, and sticking his tongue out at Torvi when she mentioned that it was his appearance that was childish. A voice of caution in the back of his mind warned against overindulgence as he looked at his empty glass, clouding his mind right now was unwise but he ignored it, not wishing to have to think with a clear head. A clear head would mean he’d focus on all the things he didn’t want to think about, and at the very least, a drunken Bowyn was more suited to tolerating making friends. These elves who were attempting to be friendly, were certainly more than a bit strange, but they did seem genuine in their sympathy for the humans. It was the offer of assistance though that struck him as odd, he wasn’t exactly sure what they meant by it. Torvi seemed equally interested in this.

“Assist us in getting drunk enough to forget about the sorry state of the world?" Bowyn added in response. While Torvi sounded much more excited to take them up on their offer of buy food and drink, he didn’t trust it. People rarely gave anything away for free, and certainly not to strangers. He’d rather know what exactly it was they wanted before he consumed anything that likely had a string attached to it. Bowyn noticed another strange person in the bar sit himself near them, wearing a cloak that obscured his face. He found it strange that anyone would wear such a thing with as hot as it was in Roshmi.

“I never trust the kindness of strangers, no one gives anything away for free.” Bowyn said although turning down a free drink bothered him slightly, he preferred not to take the chance that they’d slip a potion into it. He knew they wanted something from them, but Bowyn wasn’t sure exactly what it was they wanted. These elves were secretive, but he couldn’t decide if it was to hide some sort of devious intent or out of caution. The quieter elf had mentioned she liked winter fairies which had only added to his suspicion of them. In his village dark elves had stolen his people quite frequently, and he wouldn’t put it past light elves to be involved in such acts as well. Bowyn wondered what price a winter fae would fetch on the black market, easily more than getting a couple strangers drunk and feeding them. How ironic it would be if it was his race, rather than Torvi’s, that found them trouble.

“I mean you never know when a lonely elf will try and slip you a love potion.” He added with a forced grin, attempting to lighten his mood and seem more friendly than suspicious of them. “I’d prefer to get my own drinks and I’m not hungry but thanks for the offer.” He added. Truthfully Bowyn was a little hungry but his desire to be dulled by alcohol outweighed any interest in food and even the suspicious he had about the Little Blue and the other elf.

Time: Late Afternoon
Location: Roshmi City Docks
Interaction with:

Since departing from the scorched home, Umber had occupied his time searching for a particular someone on his own. The name had not meant much to him when the fox child addressed him as it. It was simply a lead to follow, and the demon had the time. He had roamed Roshmi long enough that he was sure word of his presence filled whispers and murmurs of the fearful and confused. The sureness came from what he felt in the city. The various and random emotions he picked up were beginning to focus even if it was just a bit.

Fear… Hate… Worry… Confusion… Delicious! Umber floated towards the Roshmi City docks while groups of civilians tried their best to keep out of the path of his large floating body. Word was spreading about a monster that floated through the streets, grabbing citizens at random and "questioning" them. Umber landed softly in front of an establishment that fell between a waterfront residential district and the docks themselves. Beside the building was a warehouse filled with workers trying to earn a bit of amas for their physical labor. The owner of this warehouse sat comfortably behind a desk inside the smaller building. Surefire Shipping…

The door swung open and the demon entered, his eyes immediately locking on the light elven lord seated with a shocked expression on his face. A snicker escaped Umber.

"Relax yourself Lord Norkas… Afterall, Lady Tsarra Urmicca sent me all the way here to see you about doing some work. Allow me to show you what I can do."

Terneus Andros

Time: Noon
Place: Shack-> Elsewhere

Terneus Andros, he who shone brightest amongst the elves, the one who held beauty and power unlike any other. Had been viciously attacked in his moment of fetching some scapegoats. Not to mention that the half-beast had laid his dirty hands on his near royal form, that was unforgivable. The elf saw how the creature scurried off to pick up his disgusting dark elf companion from the floor and then duck behind a table for cover. How dared he to underestimate the power of this governor. The vulpine then took a leap out of the window with his companion, just when moments later Terneus would unleash all of his light magic at once in an area around himself.

They were getting away! He had to stop it! It was causing more rage to bubble up inside of him. His face had been struck! His form had been touched! Assassins had made an attempt on his life! And now they were escaping from his just hand?! The elf blew the shack apart with his beams of lights, parts of the shack would start decorating the nearby other buildings, some parts of the shack being completely disintigrated as a result of the magical energies.

When the elf finally stopped there was smoke and ashes about and he stood in the middle of it, panting as he did. His eye, face and chest was stinging, but also his thigh was aching. He felt dizzy for a slight moment as he took a step forwards, his gaze searching for his enemies. Where had they gone off to? He breathed heavily, his teeth grinding together his eyebrows narrow enough to create the shape of a "V". He had to find them, they must not get away. He would be made a fool of otherwise, the laughingstock for a day, no... a week.. a month? The elf's not stinging eye flared up as he was coordinating his thoughts as they came to him.

They had gotten away?!

"Raaaaghhh!" He screamed at the top of his lungs in a state of utter rage, how had this happened to him? Was this a cruel jest of a god at play? Whichever the case, he could not tell where the pair had gone off to as the shack was blown into bits the smoke and dust that came afterwards had concealed their departure.

Standing there in the rubble right after his scream of vengeance to come, he found people making their way towards him. People? PEOPLE! He couldn't be seen like -this-. He was a mess. His attire ruined, but even worse he was wounded. This would be terrible if they local gossip would begin spreading words of him not being near divinity and unmatched under the skies. He quickly turned the other way to ward his face and appearance to the incoming crowd.

"My lord Andros! What happened?" The familiar voice of Commander Feldrin could be heard in the elf's ear. His knight commander and two others had made their way towards him.

"What does it look like you idiot?! I was viciously attacked! Again!" He snarled as he looked over his shoulder.

"By the gods! My lord! Your face! Are you allright?!" One of the knights beside Feldrin asked in a state of surprise and shock as he pushed his way through to Terneus, unlike the commander who fully knew that itself was a very, very bad idea.

"I don't know.. how do I look?" Terneus bent down to pick up his mirror which had been disarmed during the battle, it laid next to one of the fans the creature had wielded against him.

"My lord, you are bleeding. Your face has been cut-" The knight began to utter, a clear stutter now appearing in his voice before the knight found a tight grip around his neck and he was lifted off the ground by his benefactor. His understanding, patient and graceful lord, Terneus. Terneus looked with a mixture of anger and mental breakdown at the knight, who he had now grabbed with both his hands around the neck area. Lifting the knight from the ground and choking him, and occassionally shaking him.

"Don't you think I know that?! Get me the wretched fairy healers right now!" He yelled in the knight's face, and to those present. Which by now was a gathering crowd of approximately twentyfive unlookers. The governor then took with the gentle care of an angry mother bear, and threw his knight violently towards a nearby trough, where people keep water for their animals. Abit of dirt on that knight could perhaps draw some of the ridicule towards him instead. The governor motioned soon after his commander forth, and didn't waste any time in tearing off his cloak to use as a thing to pressure against his face that was bleeding, but to also shield his visage from the unclean peasants which had now gathered about.

"Get out of my way you dirty peasants! Someone is going to burn for this!" He snarled and pressed his way past the crowd in the direction of the marketplace, and then towards the infirmary.

A few moments later...

"What do you mean there is no available healers?! Why not?!" The elf screamed at one of the demi-human workers at the infirmary. Terneus couldn't believe his ears, how could there not be any healers in a place of healing?! Now in a moment where he actually had use of a disgusting bug-person they weren't available.

"Good sir, the fairy healers have been attending some others of your kind. They had alot of bee stings and injuries on them which required instant attention." The woman said in a manner of fact type of voice.

It was as if his world was falling down. The healers had wasted their precious healing magic for his lousy second rate servants! How dared they?! How dare they, they were indirectly the cause of this. The elf felt a sudden urge to walk into the room where they were resting and choke the life out of them, not only for failing him in seizing the would-be-assassins, but for also stealing HIS healing aid after said failure. It was only when he was grabbed by the demi-human woman that he snapped out of his thoughts. This creature dared to lay her hands on him? He was about to raise his hand to backhand her across the face when she begun to speak.

"Oh dear, we have to take care of that wound right away. Come this way sir, I can help you with that. There is no one else available right now, please come this way." The woman said in a worrying tone, and then let go of the elf. Terneus eyes twitched and his teeth gritted together, his fists tightened together. 'Tch.. to have this beast as a healer.' He cursed inside of himself, but he needed to take care of his wound before it got any worse. He spit to the side as the woman had turned around to show him into one of the rooms. Commander Feldrin raised a slight smile, which completely died down as the governor was throwing him a glance. "Good luck my lord." He said in a straight face, the two other knights present, one dirtier than the other offered salutes.

Baraian Paladice

Time: Of his Life
Place: Alleyway (Roshmi)

Baraian didn't speak until they found themselves at a safe distance away from the shack, or rather from where the shack once stood. An alleyway further down the street would do. When he did he finally speak, he did in a tired and strained manner. He could also still stand on his feet, while abit wobbly from the wound in his shoulder. "We.. can't go to Ra Monde... He might still be following us. You should have left me. I will only slow you down..." The dark elf said in a solemn voice, looking to Kuroi. Baraian's white robe had been mostly spared from blood as the light magic had left a scorchmark rather than lots of blood.

"You should go and find our leader... tell her to use the governor's misfortune to spark an uprising... if he can be attacked in the city... whose safe?" Baraian coughed abit, as a feeling akin to a fever was getting to him, making him slightly lightheaded. Both he and Kuroi were wounded and needed healing aid, but that would surely have to wait. The dark elf still found it strange how the vulpine had instead of withdrawn, decided to fight the governor of all people. Baraian knew fully well of what the elf was capable of. Both from past and more present occurances. There was no redeeming factor to that man, aside possibly from his ego being used against him. Possibly making him easy to deceive. Though this was only what Baraian could make out of the weird elf.

"Thank you for saving me... I should have been more careful. I had no idea he would follow us, we weren't part of the attempt against him. Someone is going to have to talk with Regulus and who else was there.. we need to be more careful. At this rate Ra Monde could be uncovered..." He panted slightly and reached out to lean against the wall of the alleyway.

Zelginn

Time: Noon
Place: Den of sin

The small figure crossed his arms over his chest when Azriel spoke about torture. "I'd bet you just love keeping sweets from them hungry kids don't you?" He said with a sour expression on his face as he blew up his cheeks with air.

"Hey! That's rude!" Zelginn said in a pouty manner as Xenelith elequently refered to him. "But then again he might be as boring as Akky boy. Wouldn't put it past him being a dark elf you know..." Azriel seemed to be pretty chatty however, which was something that Zelginn could fully enjoy. Umber had been slightly disappointing in that department, perhaps he was taking on traits from his mother or something.

"Hmm.. In all my years I've never had a fully boring day though, and stuff has not gotten burnt up completely. So good I guess?" Zelginn gave a smug smile towards the winged woman, and nodded softly as she had told him her answer to his riddle.

"Stomach? Oh you were really close! It was HUNGER." Zelginn gave a slight smile, showing his sharp teeth in his upper and lower jaw, they looked like miniature wolf fangs. Or like more appropriately how he looked, fox fangs.

"Oh a riddle for me? Humm humm. Oh I think the answer is LIFE. Does make sense doesn't it?" Zelginn jumped up to his feet as if ready to hear if he was right or wrong.

"I really like life. You gotta take it... Seriously!" Zelginn said in a cheery manner, rolling over on his back holding unto his chest in giggles before he stopped and sat back up, his ears perked up and on high alert.

"Oh but since you were such a fun lady, I'll let you in on a little secret. Zelginn isn't my only name..." The small figure grew more quiet and looked around the room, walking up to Azriel while still being on the table. He tried to lean in to her ear before moving his lips.

"The elves used to call me Spellbane... but that was a really long time ago. But Akky and mother call me by my other name: Darkmane, one of the firstborn of the chaos mother. My mother, Lilith. Our two riddles fit nicely together, I live to hunger, I hunger to live. Living is for eating, and eating the living is my way of living." Zelginn said in a dark tone of voice, his mouth opened into a smile and his teeth almost glimmering from the light of the candles, his voice filled with amusement and an eerie sadistic side to it. He began to giggle softly as he drew his face away from Azriel.

"I think it's almost time for dinner, want to join me or will you wait for my little brother to return?" Zelginn tilted his head from side to side, gradually returning to the outward cheery mannerism which he carried previously. Just as if he was donning a mask.

Time: Afternoon

Interaction with: Myra @13org and Artemis @Potter
Amas:

Darius could only be confused by the nondisclosure from Artemis and the nonverbal direction from Myra regarding the lake. Despite his unsureness, Darius let the woman down and turned around as requested. At that moment he remembered the first time he tried to bathe himself in Avalia and then imagined it being so much colder for Artemis.

It was not enough to imagine as he felt the water himself. Feeling a splash of water hit his backside. The cold made him flinch before he turned around to see…

"What the fuck…" Darius stared at the laughing Artemis WHO WAS REALLY A MERMAID in disbelief.

”So, human huh?”

”Does Earth have anyone like me?”

Darius just stared, not responding as he thought about what he was seeing. This woman isn't a human… Disappointment set in and for a second it was visible on his face. He managed a smile as he didn't want to take away from the happiness the woman now felt.

"You sure it doesn't bother you?" Darius smirked as he thrust his hand to shoot a stream of water from it and into the lake, close enough to splash Artemis back.

TIME: Afternoon
LOCATION: Roshmi City
INTERACTIONS: Ayita @13org, Cadence @Helo, Ilan @dreamingflowers

Sakura smiled at Ilan and nodded at both him and his centaur friend, but she was seething in annoyance on the inside. She hated it when things don't go according to plan. She especially hated Cade, the big yellow cat with muscles for a brain. How dumb was he to easily trust these two who just got into a mess a while ago? Now, he's willing to go to a place with a bunch of strangers he just met. He's so irritatingly good.

Wait, why was she so worked up over him? He's just a mere demi-human! She should focus her attention on her mission instead.

She's only supposed to be Ayita and having Cade along will help the human trust her more. Now with the addition of the stoic centaur and the softspoken faun, who were unlucky enough to annoy what seemed to be one important figure in Roshmi City, the demoness was afraid their group will garner more attention than needed as there's also the possibility of her being exposed.

She doesn't know if the leaders of the races knew of Aklenroth's daughter but they will surely use all their forces in hunting her down. They'll do everything they can to have leverage over the Lich King and replace him as the ruler of Avalia, and she doesn't want to be the cause of another problem for her father.

Nevertheless, she just had to make do with what she had. Besides, she's been craving to cause some trouble, but the real fun will begin later tonight.

She interjected when she heard what Cade said. "Wait, postpone lunchtime? Over my dead gorgeous body. We can take the food we've bought in that place, wherever it is, so we can discuss whatever plans we have while eating. Are you really going to let your two beautiful lady friends starve that long?". Sakura said as she went to Ayita's side and point at their faces while the demoness pouted.

The demoness thought best to be friendly and outgoing to the two newcomers. Who knows, maybe she'll have some use for them later on.

Time: Late Morning.
Location: Roshmi City
Interactions: Cadence @Helo, Sakura @baraquiel, Ilan @dreamingflowers

The centaur and the faun quickly introduced themselves as Ilan my, a musician and Regulus, an Archer that was by no doubts, as much as a warrior as Cade himself was. While Regulus and Cade did seem to have an unspoken understanding and bonding after just a quick exchange of words and stares as two warriors, Ilan gave off a much more delicate feel. More than the centaur, he really did seem to be just like the fauns and the forest spirits in the stories Ayita sometimes heard in her world. They were indeed quite a strange pair, but Ayita, Cade and Sakura were also a very... Unusual trio, so she couldn't say much about them.

When Regulus and Cade mentioned going to a less busy place, Ayita nodded, agreeing with both of them. The marketplace was by no means somewhere where they could have anything even remotely close to privacy.

"It would indeed be just lovely to hear your music Ilan! It is my first time in Roshmi and my first time meeting a traveling musician." Ayita said, looking to Ilan with a kind smile, trying to make him more comfortable around them.

"The greenhouse sounds like the perfect place. It should be much calmer and more relaxing than here." Ayida said, agreeing with their decision.

Myra smiled as she heard Artemis praising her when she pointed to her legs. Apparently, she was pleased that Myra had caught to what was happening and what Artemis wanted to do so fast. When they got to the river though, she asked for 'privacy', the same word Darius sometimes used, saying that he wasn't comfortable with Myra looking when he took his second skin off. Myra herself still didn't know why both him and Artemis were like that, but already accustomed with how Darius acted and thought, she simply turned back, just like Darius did.

When Myra heard the sound of water splashing, she knew Artemis was finished and she could look at her. The snapping and popping sounds she heard coming from under the surface immediately confirmed what Myra had previously thought about Artemis. Myra watched, amazed as Artemis sighed deeply, pleased by being inside water with half of her tail above the water. Having not waited for Artemis' signal before looking back, Myra dodged when she splashed water on Darius, still looking to her tail with a curious expression.

Myra was a bit confused when she looked at Darius though, seeing how he looked a bit sad when Artemis showed herself not to be a human. That said, his expression quickly changed as he splashed some water back at her using his powers. Still curious about her tail though, Myra used the moment of distraction while Artemis was talking with Darius to lean forward a bit and try to inspect her tail from a bit closer.

TIME: Afternoon
LOCATION: Somewhere in Daka Island
INTERACTIONS: None

Despite being the land of the demons, Daka Island was also known to have places where it will always be constantly dark no matter what time of the day it was. Creatures of darkness thrived on the island as they could comfortably hunt down unsuspecting prey without the fear of being harmed by sunlight. An example of a place on Daka Island where the sun cannot shine upon was a cave that was blocked by hanging vines of flowers so deadly that one touch of them could instantly rot your flesh. Deep inside the cave was an expansive space bountiful of luminous crystals. For some reason, demons and those who were weak to light were not affected by the natural soft light emitted by these objects. It was then decided that this will be the main hideout of a group of demons.

Two members of the mentioned group were already there. Zatu the Mask of Pain was sitting right in front of these glowing crystals. He, along with his sister, was asleep for so long, he forgot that such things like these exist in this world. A larger humanoid loomed over the little one. Using one hand, the red-faced demon tossed his kanabō up in the air and caught it by its handle. He tossed it again but he was too slow this time to catch its handle and his kanabō pulverized the ground it landed on. He laughed boisterously as the wheel on his back was automatically lit on fire and spun, reacting to his emotions.

"Little Zatu, where are the others?", Gekido the Searing Storm said. No matter how joyful he could be, one could notice the immeasurable amount of rage he had in his voice, like a volcano threatening to erupt. "We have been waiting here for about quite some ti-"

"Hush now, Gekido." Zatu and Gekido turned to the source of the voice. A corner in the cavern was not as light and it was filled with pure darkness as two figures stepped out of the shadow. The first was a beautiful woman whose skin was as pale as death, and under her was an enormous spider. One could mistake her as riding the arachnid when in fact the spider was a part of her. She was soon followed by Urna the Mask of Woe, head always looking down in shyness as she hugged her stuffed toy.

When the spider woman spoke, it's as if a swarm of insects learned to speak in unison. "Greetings, Zatu, Gekido. We hoped we did not make you men wait for too long?".

"Oh not at all, Lady Hōshasen! Patience is a virtue, especially if we are waiting for such beautiful women like you," Gekido smiled as he bowed before Urna and Hōshasen the Plaguemother. Zatu ran towards his sister and the siblings embraced each other. Hōshasen smiled at the homunculi children. "Excellent. Now, all we are waiting for is one."

A loud thud echoed throughout the cavern. The four demonic creatures looked expectantly at the darkened pathway of the cavern that led to the vine-covered entrance. What emerged was a middle-aged rabbit demihuman, walking forward like a puppet on a string. His irises and pupils were grey as he looked in front of him with lifeless eyes. What followed him was an even taller bat-like creature. It hunched as it crawled, leaning on its long and muscular arms.

The creature opened its mouth to speak but instead, it was the demi-rabbit that spoke for him. It used the poor demihuman to channel its voice; it sounded bellowing and echo-like as if it were speaking through a well. "Apologies for the wait. I had trouble finding a suitable channel."

"Worry not, Utsuro. Come and take your place," Hōshasen said as Utsuro the Voidcaller and his channel went to their place. The rest of the demons sat in a circle as Utsuro's channel produced a map of Roshmi City and spread it at the center.

Once everyone was in position, Hōshasen spoke. "Utsuro, you are tasked with killing the rulers of Roshmi City. Urna, assist Utsuro in his mission. Zatu, Gekido, and I will cause death and chaos throughout the entire city as a distraction for the two of you to carry your mission safely.

We are the first of Master's many servants and it is our duty to do the mission given to us. We will all show no mercy to anyone who stands in our way of completing our mission, but we must try not to get carried away in murdering creatures who are not worth our time. I am looking at you two, Zatu and Gekido," Hōshasen said as she leered towards the men who frowned and crossed their arms at her. Urna put a hand on her mouth, seemingly laughing at her brother, as Zatu playfully nudged her sister.

Hōshasen smiled at the two before continuing. "We all know our parts. The best thing to do right now is to rest up and gather our strength. We attack tonight."

The rest of them nodded. "This channel is flawed. I have no use for you now. So long," Utsuro said through its channel as it swiftly swiped the rabbit demi-humans head off his shoulders cleanly. His lifeless body fell to the ground as Hōshasen's spider half gladly feasted on the corpse, the first of many casualties to come.

Time: Early Afternoon
Location: Love Lounge

Azriel continued to munch on the food that had been brought to them, occasionally glancing at Jack to make sure he wasn’t dying or anything from the amount of skaula he ingested. Humans were funny creatures and she didn’t know what would kill them and what wouldn’t. What she did know was that if Jack died while under her watch it wouldn’t spell out good news for her. So she was determined to keep him alive until someone else took over babysitting the human man.

She glanced back to Zelginn as he gave his answer to her riddle and she let out a musical sounding giggle. ”Wonderful try, but that answer is incorrect. The correct answer would be memory.” She informed him as she chose another strawberry to eat. This creature certainly liked to talk and surprisingly Azriel was fine with that for now. People who talked a lot tended to give out way more information than they probably even realized.

When the Zelginn walked over to her and whispered in her ear who he was, she found a devilish grin spreading across her face. This was precisely the information she was waiting to hear, to find out more about him like she’d said earlier. Was he aware that he was giving her exactly what she wanted? Either way she looked at him, that grin still in place as he moved away from her. She showed no fear towards him whatsoever. She knew demons a lot better than most, was raised by one to be a demon of sorts herself, and while she didn’t doubt that this demon in front of her was dangerous, she knew she was a force to be reckoned with as well. ”No thank you, I’m quite content here with this one waiting for my friend to return.” She gestured to Jack. ”Have fun on your hunt for dinner.”

Artemis
Time: Noon
Location: Outside of Malthemoor, Daka Island
Interaction: @FunnyGuy Darius | @13org Myra

The disappointment in the human’s face was not enough to darken Artemis’ mood. Rather, she understood. If she was able to meet her kind after not seeing then, she’d feel similar. It was in the moment she took to process Darius’ words that he began forming something in his hand. Oh no, what was going on? Was he attacking her? Did he work for the black market? Visible terror swept over her and she launched herself underwater without a word. The ball of water collided near her and she stared at it with wide eyes. She curled up under the water and wrapped her tail around herself much like a cat. After a few moments when no other attacks followed, Artemis slowly poked her head out of the water to stare at him with wide-eyes. Realizing he had just been kidding around, Artemis swallowed.

”S-S-Sorry,” Her voice quivered and she stared at his hands. ”I guess your power is hydromancy. What a convenience this is.” Her tone quipped slightly at the end. She glanced around the forest, thinking she heard movements, then stared back at him. So, what castle were you talking about earlier? And why is a human like you, on Daka Island of all places in Avalia? Surely the city would be better for you than this dreadful land.” Artemis kept her body submerged as a precaution, and her tail just below the surface. She had noticed the Demoness eyeing it, so she didn’t want to ruin her peace. She kept an eye on both of them though, her muscles taut and ready to dive back under the water if necessary.

Time: Afternoon
Location: Outside of Malthemoor, Daka Island
Interaction with: Myra @13org and Artemis @Potter
Amas: Spent 2100 amas

Darius was surprised at Artemis' reaction as he expected to have a bit of a playful water fight. Oops! He thought as the woman appeared to tremble at the sight of him. When Artemis asked about his presence on Daka, Darius raised an eyebrow.

"Daka Island is where I need to be right now… And we stay at Aklenroth's castle." Darius informed. Artemis seemed wary about going with Darius and Myra, but she would be in much more danger being left in this lake.

After a bit of conversation, the trio headed back to the amora with Darius carrying Artemis of course. He learned that she could change her tail into legs, but they were very weak and she was out of practice when it came to walking. Darius didn't mind her minor handicap. He could teach Myra to talk and Artemis to walk between what Kol described as vigorous training. Speaking of Kol, he had spent Darius' amas on a dragon egg incubator and something he called flarus, a "performance enhancer" of sorts. He also mentioned a ball Darius could attend in the coming days in order to find humans… real humans.

Upon arriving back at the castle, Darius allowed Myra and Artemis to keep each other company as Kol wanted Darius to not have any "distractions" and conduct their training in one of the darker parts of the castle. The incubator was placed elsewhere and was not to be concerned with, but Darius was still very hyped up about it. The only thing more exciting was the prospect of training with Kol. The two stood amongst the dilapidated ruins beyond the bridge to the main portion of the castle. Darius was wearing the black leather armor Skar had purchased, eager to start as he stood beside Kol.

"I get to finally train my magic. I'll be-"

"No."

"No?" Darius was a bit perplexed by Kol's quick response.

"Human. You have no experience in the use of weapons or even combat. You may have better fitness than I initially assumed, but you are nowhere close to where you need to be. Making you a mage and just training your elemental magic is the easiest path, but it would not-" This time Kol was cut off

"Let's just do things your way then. We don't have a lot of time, so just tell me what I need to do… I'll do it and judge the results later." Darius said seriously which made Kol silently nod. It was time to train.
