So because I didn't reserve any color I was flipflopping back and forth between who I wanted to be and as coincidence would have it, I created an Asian character to be yellow ranger. Our black ranger also happens to be Black. Facepalms. Just thought it was a funny coincidence (racist Zordon jokes have already been done to death anyways).

Personality: Saya is quiet, unassuming, and fairly confident in her abilities. She does, however, harbor a little bit of anxiety towards how she is perceived by others, being a minority. She tries her best to give a good first impression by being polite and respectful, and maintaining that image through continued behavior, and so far, she's gotten along well, making a few close friends and earning her place in Angel Grove, but the hint of fragility is still there. This anxiety may perhaps be responsible for her almost supernatural awareness. She is extremely sensitive to details and has an incredible ability to focus and concentrate, lending themselves well to her academics. Though she is not very physically strong, her detail oriented sensitivity grants her a great deal of control, discipline, and finesse in her graceful, conservative and wasteless movements. She is nurturing and helpful to the best of her abilities, but because she does not speak unless spoken to, and does not approach unless approached, she appears cold, aloof, untouchable, and even haughty to many people, which she interprets as them finding her uninteresting. Family means everything to her, and even though a situation has never arisen requiring this, she would sell her soul to the devil to protect her family and close friends from harm.

Background history: Born to her immigrant father, Iori Kaneshiro and mother Mary Adiemus, Saya is of mixed heritage and encountered some small issues of alienation when she was very young from her classmates, but those attitudes seem to have phased out as she grew. She has fared well with her grades and is now a 2nd year at Angel Grove University studying neuroscience, though what to others may seem like effortless grace, her life has been the continuous act of walking on eggshells, and as such, her life has been peaceful and quite uneventful. She has a younger brother named Tatsuya in high school. She chose AGU mainly because it was close to home, but her father insisted that she stay in the dorms on campus rather than live at home because he wanted her to spread her wings and not have her independence stifled by proximity to family.
May add some sort of martial arts training if that is one of Zordon's selection criteria.
