:D omg I was and still am so obsessed with fe3h. On my normal play through, I made everyone, quite literally nearly everyone a falcon knight or wyvern lord and it was incredibly fun.

BUT on my maddening playthrough I can't personally use as unconventional builds. War master caspar with killer+ knuckles has become an absolute staple for my maddening playthroughs though. Also felix as a bow knight is pretty awesome but felix just wrecks face regardless of what class he is

It's fucking hilarious to me how people immediately thought the new Smash character was gonna be Dante but then Sakurai decided the best way to combat the complaint of "too many anime sword users" was by putting in Byleth, an anime sword user, but this time they also have a bow and a spear and an axe for specials.

Was Devil May Cry even on a nintendo console? I must've forgot.

Literally, Byleth joins the roster to give a middle finger to death. Got my respect.

Another edit: But can we just- CUPHEAD IS IN SMASH?? I DON'T CARE IF IT'S A MII COSTUME, IT'S THE SAME AMOUT OF DETAIL AS SANS. SANS.

@Majoras End It's gotten/is getting ports but the 'Nintendo console' requirement kinda died when they put Cloud in it since, until the Switch, FF7 hadn't been on a Nintendo property and no, the pre-7 entries don't count. Hell, one could argue it died when Sonic and Snake got in. Also considering the whole spirits system, Smash is less about Nintendo specifics than ever.

Kinda funny how TemTem is looking like it's gonna give pokemon a run for its money...

- All battles are 2v2
- Priority moves can change due to pairing up certain TemTem
- Higher health pools so battles are less of a one hit ko sweep
- Breeding excessively can actually have diminishing returns (less emphasis on min max building)
- Open world with multiplayer.
- NPCs talk about more than just "pokemon" and actually have a livelyhood
- Side quests
- And it's only in Alpha at the moment with better visuals and stability than the newest Sword and Shield version

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore is out on Switch now and includes the option to pick whether or not the childhood friend character wears glasses or not so really it's the best Fire Emblem experience on Switch. Also, Reincarnation slaps.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot seems like a game designed to test the fans of the series at every possible turn to see how much bad game design they will tolerate just because it's got Dragon Ball Z in it. Poorly designed controls for flying? Yep. A stupid system where flying through a ring of collectible orbs doesn't collect them meaning you have to actively slow down and fly in an awkward circle? Totally. A combat system that isn't really explained requiring you to pour through menus to understand literally any of its mechanics other than punch, not that there are many mechanics anyway? It's in there. A weirdly cumbersome skill tree AND multiple pinboard-esque 'community boards' where you slap tokens featuring your favorite characters in a silly excuse to get buffs by putting Goku next to Gohan or other characters who are friends? Yes sir! An 'open world' that is really just bland areas that are a chore to explore because of bad flying controls, random encounters taking you out of the resource gathering thing and disorienting you, side quests that even an MMO would think is too banal, and more orbs than a Crackdown game but infinitely less 'fun' to gather? Buddy you better believe it.

It's weird that there are people who are readily admitting that the game as a game is bad but are giving it a pass because it's DBZ as if DBZ fans don't already know the story of DBZ to the point of exhaustion.

Like I don't understand how you make flying feel so shit when flying in games has basically been perfected. Especially in a game where the main mode of transportation for everyone is fucking flying.

@Fabricant451 Sound like you have first hand experience with this game. Did you have the misfortune of buying it and playing long enough to not be eligible for a refund?

But ya, sounds like the cash grab I thought it was. I just can't understand why they thought it was a good idea to just recreate the DBZ anime as an open world game. Everyone knows these sagas, I can just imagine the fluff and mmo type quests put into the game as they try to fill in a world that has been shown to be 90% wide expanses of nothingness. Dragon ball makes sense as a fighting game, that's the main thing people like about the series, world building has never been a dragon ball strong suit which is something a good rpg needs to make it feel alive and interactive.

Sounds like they tried to make an rpg experience, while attempting to keep some of the battle elements of other titles, and just failing to do any part of the game justice.

There are very few DBZ games out there I would consider good. Most are pure fan-service disguised as a game and Kakarot sounds like a doozy.

I'm still a little annoyed with myself for getting Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission, which is almost completely fan-service and just finding a way to exploit the system with skills. At least there is some skill in deck building and certain missions require the correct set up to have a chance to win. Still sounds better than Kakarot even if the battle system is just the correct timing of a button press.

At least the card creation system is cool and allows you to completely mess around with characters and create your own unique abominations or powerhouses. While the game itself isn't great, at least I can have fun with all the customization and weird battles you can make.

@IceHeart I only paid $7 for it so it's not like it was a huge loss but yeah it looks like DBZ and sounds like DBZ Kai/Super but so much of the game up to where I stopped (Gohan and Piccolo training before Nappa/Vegeta show up) it was 90 percent "fly to the quest marker or fly around collecting orbs or materials/ingredients for a food cooking system that so far you really have no need to partake in because all the best food is clearly gotten later on anyway" and sometimes do a fetch quest for fan service characters. Like hey, there's Nam or Eighter or Baba or the Martial Arts Tournament announcer oh look there's Pilaf and Mai and Shu! But then as you're flying around you keep getting harassed by fucking robots and then the combat starts and it's boring and everyone knows the best part of DBZ is when the characters kept fighting generic robot drones.

You don't even get to do stuff that might be fun to do in a DBZ RPG like run the Snake Way or fucking train with King Kai or Piccolo, you know, things that in a better game would serve as tutorials or introduction to systems for the combat or exploration. Instead they do the open world thing of dotting the areas (because this isn't open world, it's open sections, you can't fly from Goku's house to Roshi's house you have to open the world map and select the water zone where Roshi hangs out) with fucking enemy bases to destroy because that's what you want to do, take out more dumb generic robots in shit that even Ubisoft realized wasn't fun anymore.

But like, if you're going to make a game called 'Kakarot' why not just go all the way and go from Dragon Ball through to Super? At least Dragon Ball and Super haven't been done to death in video game form so it would be something relatively new instead of Piccolo killing Raditz and Goku again, Vegeta and Nappa again, Freiza again, and so on.

The problem with a open-world type game set in dragon ball z is...well the mobs frankly make no sense at all. Everything that's just a mob would be useless to fight since even during the saiyan saga, Goku is vastly stronger than anyone on Earth except for a few rare individuals that could put up a fight. It makes no sense for him to fight red ribbon robots and dinosaurs as they pose literally no challenge at all plus there shouldn't even be that many of them on Earth in the first place, especially red ribbon stuff.

Now, if they set the game during Dragon Ball, then Earth mobs would actually make sense and pose a threat, especially during the earliest parts of his career and would fit well as a game mechanic and fit plot wise. Also, during Dragon Ball the Earth seemed a lot more interesting, once it moved to Z and beyond it was basically reduced to just home base and a place to get invaded or destroyed. Earth enemy mobs just really don't make a lot of sense considering the time frame in Z.

Once you get into Super, or even GT, then mobs could make sense again since there are a ton of planets or even Universes to visit which would open up a lot for enemy variety and types. In a super setting, you could just make up a whole bunch of worlds and places to explore and train. In a GT setting there were already quite a few different worlds and locations that could prove interesting to explore and interact with the locals. But of course game developers want to stick with what everyone remembers best cause they don't like taking chances and instead just rehash the same thing over and over.

Christopher Lloyd took over the Master Xehanort role in KH3 ReMind. The role was first voiced by Leonard Nimoy and then Rutger Hauer. I am now concerned that the voice role is cursed.

Infinity Ward completely broke their game with this new update lol

Wanted to play a bit of MW today on my PS4, went to start up MP, turns out entire packs for it and Spec Ops is completely missing and has to redownload. This isn't a few GB, no, it's a god damn game sized redownload of 20gb that has to download again because of their fuck up. Other people are having this issue as well, and some people who have managed to log in are reporting that their data is apparently "corrupt" and goes on to delete portions of it like the operators and their combat record.

This game is a fucking joke I tell you what

It's mostly cutscenes that are front loaded, then it's just the Keyblade Graveyard part again with some added scenes to basically elaborate on some stuff that happened during it.

Then there's the second part that is basically Nomura giving a middle finger to everyone who thought the game was too easy. You're essentially paying for a directors cut of the finale of the game and then 13 superbosses.
