Name: Charlotte Velemyrus
Age: 17
Appearance: "If you're going to interrupt my studies, at least have something useful to say..." Personality: Coming from a prestigious magus family, Charlotte is much of what one might expect from your stereotypical mage. Confident, self assured, and unflappably serious, Charlotte strives for personal greatness and self advancement and duty to her family. She pours every ounce of her energy and time into her studies, intent on carrying her family name well, without tarnishing their reputation. Determined and willful, once she sets her mind to a task she does not hesitate to see it through to the end. This seriousness and adherence to both tradition and a pursuit of personal greatness, however, causes her to fall short in social interactions which at times causes her some small distress.
She handles people in either one of two ways: Blunt, commanding, and harsh, or confusion, silence, and mild annoyance. This is not because she desires conflict, but rather, being a proper mage to her, never really meant being good with people. When pressed into casual social interactions she becomes surprisingly unconfident and can't really hold a conversation well if it goes some way she wasn't expecting, or she's not getting what she wants.
She does however, tend to open up quite a bit when it comes to her hobbies of tailoring and reading. Especially if she feels like dressing someone else up.
Abilities: Possessing both a high number, and high quality of magic circuits, Charlotte has a talent most young mages could only dream of. That is not to say she is the best - but she is quickly on her way to becoming a renowned magus from talent alone. With an affinity for Wind, Charlotte has a natural affinity for magic relating to movement and free energy. This, is most commonly seen with the book and paper she carries. The book itself seems entirely mundane at first glance, but upon inspection by any mage, they would quickly realize its an intricate mystic code created for the sole purpose of...well, and endless paper supply. The book is a Mystic Code made entirely to provide the user with just that, complimenting her families magecraft perfectly - turning paper into both potent weapons as well as constructs. For example, she can tear out a page of the book and with a little magic, can turn the paper into a razor sharp cutting implement before launching it at high speeds with a simple movement spell or gust of wind. Or, in more extreme methods she can create tiny familiars or constructs to fight for her with magically imbued paper.
History: Once in the past, the Velemyrus family was both impressive and respected in the world of magecraft. Tracing their lineage far, with a great pride in raising heirs and keeping meticulous notes, making sure to pass on every single detail of their lineage's magecraft and research. Their current heir made to bear this burden, is Charlotte. At first, she appeared to be a poor choice despite her high quality and number of circuits. She took very little interest in magecraft and academia. This of course, caused understandable contention and problems with her family.
Problems, that she would never get to reconcile.
She was away for study when tragedy struck. Her parents, died. An accident they said, though there were talks of murder and assassination. She, was picked up and started living with a distant cousin though they really had little to do with her growing up. Perhaps it was regret, or something she thought she could use to maybe, maybe, feel a bit closer to her parents, did she start getting into her studies. She quickly distinguished herself as a clever, willful, intelligent, and studious sort. She dove headfirst into her studies quickly becoming an heir any mage family would be proud of having.
Her life, continued as such, until she decided to go to Fusang to further her studies and try her hand at summoning a servant.
