@Ammokkxwho? I've barely interacted with people in this RP? What could I have possibly done to warrant this treatment?

If anyone wants to out themselves I'll let them, but I'm not going to share details without anyone's consent.

My decisions stands. I will not be replying from this point.

Fine but this is really mean spirited. I feel bullied and I'm sorry if I upset someone to feel the need to do this.

Like seriously though if I've been a jerk in the past why not give me the chance to get in people's good books now so I can avoid this in the future?

Alright, so, that happened.

Current concerns:

-I'd like a few more people to chime in on LunarStandard's deck. Even people who haven't gotten an accepted CS like Kaggs and Cosmos are free to chime in. Charak's main issue seems to be cards like Duster and Icarus attack while Amaranthine feels like it has a bit too high a ratio of RR monsters.

Sidenote: He's absolutely allowed to run 3 Vanishing Lanius as far as I'm concerned. Told me it's to emulate how Shun always opened up with that exact hand, which is hilarious and absolutely on-point.

-On the topic of Base/Highway, with grit not being around anymore it's a bit of a mess. I'll edit the first post tomorrow to remove Souji from the highway crew and put him at Keita's location, but so far it seems they'll just be chillin' there and making their own fun for the time being.

Oh yeah, and for anyone apping, might be best to say where you want to be placed and how you're doing so I can account for that as well once you're in for sure.

Well, I guess I'll go ahead and lay my case before the tribunal here.

So the Raidraptors and Icarus Attack are way too thematically appropriate for a character who came too close to Core secrets, was banished, and are now seeking a revolution to change the system. I don't really want to change those.

And I get that HFD seems like a big blow-out card, but also consider that if you get locked down or stunned by your opponent's backrow and you have no way of getting out of it, it just feels really terrible and not very exciting to watch either. That's actually happened to me in RPs in the past, so I always try to sign up with a few backrow removal here or there. Also I will say that one, I was under the impression we're mostly doing PvE anyway, and two, I think we all have some sort of power card that seems really strong at first glance.

@LunarStandard Hey you, I'll bug you these days because our characters seem like they could have lots and lots of story together. (They both got banished from the core and all that...)

Y'know, if you ever need to show someone Yugioh at its most Yugioh, this out-of-context ZeXal clip does the job pretty well.

Actual Response
Alright to break this down, As I was on the fence about IA, and with you having it, it also technically counts as backrow removal. I mean if what your looking for is a way to sweeper the opponents backrow, other cards do exist that sweep it (but not as hard) like twin twister, In all the cases where your going to be locked down, they are usually going to be protecting the backrow anyway (hence why its a lock) thus the power of feather duster isn't really a "But this is my answer to locks" as it was just going to get negated anyway.

So on the flipside you got a 'get out of lock for 1 card' but also you can easily use it to completely skew a duel by removing a player whom say is already on the backfoot from your initial plays. It's a card that in the cases where you want to use it, you can't use it (Because if its an S/T lock who wouldn't run protection for it), And the other cases for it. It does too much.

If quickplay effects (monsters) were more abudant I would be onboard. But they aren't and as such the Spell/trap zone becomes that much more important to not be instantly blown-out. Imagine If I app'd a Raigeki this early, the feels bad would be similar due to how easily it strips away my opponents defense.

So after a prolonged negotiation session with our glorious leader, we have agreed to switch it to Twin Twisters.

All y'all have to address me like this now.

Also I'm letting you get away with running this many RR cards but you're on my shitlist. Not because you run so many RR cards, but because you've hurt my feelings.

so uh

Any idea what you want to do IC orrrrr

Alright, so. Had a talk with @1Charak2 because I was losing my mind, and while none of my sanity has reovered, it gave me some insight about a part of this that I'm doing wrong/potentially doing wrong.

So bit of background. The issue as I see it, is that nobody has anything to do because nothing interesting is happening. The problem is partially because there's no real conflict or immediate problem to solve. Initially I fixed the issue of having nothing to do at the base by having Gritty show up, but it being a player-pressed conflict led to... well, player conflict. On the other end, the busted Duel Runner only really gave Webboy an idea of what to do. Neither LunarStandard nr Amaranthine felt like they had much to work with, so there's another failure of the scenario.

Now, I don't have any alternatives still. I proposed Charak to set up a mini-arc for him so he had something to do, but he didn't want it. The discussion eventually led to the following failure: The very premise of the setting.

See, as he says it, the fact we start out in a duel gang is very "Tell" and not very "Show". Our characters are assumed to trust one another because of their shared history, especially as a lot of people signed up as having been there from the start. Because of that, we already have vague and unestablished relations. We have to assume our characters know one-another without having actually RP'd to get to know them as such. What he pointed out as a counterexample of something much cooler to be done, was the Doomraisers.

See, as Charak poses the argument, had we actually started at a time before the Breakers were born, and instead played out the immediate threat of the Doomraisers first, we'd both have a "unified goal" while still having immediate pressure. It also makes it so our characters could meet one-another for the first time and do things. Had we actually rallied under this banner and left the gang's objective of "Break into the core" for much later, we'd have a more healthy and engaging opening scenario.

So that's to say, the problem with my opening post as I put it is both that I had nothing to give you guys to do (something I was aware of) but also had the chance to give you guys something you could've rallied under and then didn't.

My question to you all now: Given this argument, how would we proceed? I'll give you all a few options, but I'm sure there's something I haven't thought of. I just want to solve this issue of nobody really being engaged to post at all and I want to give everyone something to do.

1: We can just keep the scenario as-is.
2: We wipe the slate clean and actually start from before the breakers were formed
3: We stick to our current setting, but I merge the group and do a different scenario. I either start trouble with a gang, or with security. Or we have some trouble started already and are in the middle of getting out (would feel railroad-ey and lack tension in my opinion, but I'm willing to try anyway if those feelings are unsubstantiated)
4: I came up with this literally as I finished the last one, so it's not exactly a refined idea. Gist is that I wipe the current scenarios and instead have a "briefing" Takuma's giving where he intends to strike one of Security's checkpoints or another gang for reasons.

If I'm still off-base with any of this, then I dunno. What I'm trying to accomplish is for people to have both the reason and want to interact with one-another, so I encourage anyone to bring up any plot points if they feel like they want to do it.

That's admittedly not why I haven't written... it's again the simple fact that I've had no time to write, with the exception of a two paragraph post that I managed to sneak in for another RP that got suddenly resurrected. Even then, I kind of agree in that Kato had only a little to react to or do, and from my perspective it was only to set up an excuse for a duel to happen.

Changing things up would probably be best for everyone, just to at least give more of a group dynamic and goal. I don't think there's a problem with the gang having been formed already, but having everyone in a position where the entire gang can interact together for some goal would be best.

I prefer options 3 or 4. I don't mind a railroad start even, though not sure how others feel.

I'm for option 2 because it offers a better chance for everyone to create these prior interactions in a proper more organic way.

But you didn't really need my input for that did you.
