@RC3
I choose number 2 from yellow slime
[???] - Utility Skill (Passive/Active)

Also for next post, would Reshy have any trouble with the following?
He sought after vine, solid sticks, but mostly smooth small rocks.
Carefully tearing his loincloth he made a sling for his large pebbles.
With his crafting skill he would fashion a buckler out of rows of sticks overlapping and secured with vine.

He’s had a win and got an energy boost, he’s oozing with creativity and confidence.

@Dark LightReshy learned...Sweet Scent
Sweet Scent: The user exudes a floral and fruity aroma; be it his breath, body odor, or flatus. They are able to actively release a stronger scent around them. How alluring and intoxicating the scents are to others will improve as skill rank increases. (Passive/Active) E-Rank

Not sure if there's a misunderstanding, but just to avoid it, you can use Absorption multiple times with one monster. Absorbing all the skills of a slime is okay. Just noticed that most were going with only one. I mean, probably strategy, but wanted to make sure.

It's a metagaming strategy, bby. We increase our knowledge of what each animal has, without expending the majority of our own Absorptions. Share the load and all.

@Vec o3o

Either's fine by me. Some bring it to the PMs, others just post it here.

@Dark Light

Carefully tearing his loincloth he made a sling for his large pebbles. He wouldn't have much cloth left. Nothing wrong with going commando though.
With his crafting skill he would fashion a buckler out of rows of sticks overlapping and secured with vine. He can try, but quality-wise, it won't be much. I doubt even humans could make a reliable "shied" with sticks and vines

@VersaEmri learned...Charge
Charge - Allows the user to rush forward with as much momentum as they can muster. This allows for heavy tackles or increased piercing power for weapons. (Active)

@ERode Yup, it is most free.

And yeah, I figured. Just though most would be curious on what the other skills were. o3o

Hrm...Charge would be nice for drop kicks...

@Versa Was thinking that we could do a small collab or something. Mainly, Hoi wants to get materials, so they can work on building a fire back at the cave + some other stuff. Probably will be fun having the unga bunga duo stumble their way through communicating about the requirements for making a fire.

Can more than one person absorb the same ability from the same monster

@demonspade64 It'll vary from monster to monster. For regular slimes, its usually good for 1 person. For the battle-scarred rabbit, all 3 of you can absorb.

So Reshy smells pretty! I think it will actually come in useful for the group, I just need to start being in a group. :/

Hey boss, @RC3 can we improve a skill by absorbing it more than once? Maybe just one level up?

@Dark Light Nope. They wouldn't level up that way.

Can you get a higher level rank from a stronger creature or does it always fall to e?

Saito as acquire...Poison Resistance.

Poison Resistance: Makes the user resistance to various poisons. With prolonged or repeated exposure to significant amounts, immunity may develop. The amount of poisons that do not effect the user become higher in number as this skill ranks up. (Passive) E-Rank

Deboning, gotcha. Anyway, anything in particular you wanna be going for while going back to the cave? Another encounter, joining up with another group, or just some R&R?

Also, the berries were poisonous but only when digested. I suppose Saito won't be finding that out now.

I'm planning to head back to the cave and hoping to either get another encounter on the way there, or to join another player group. Saito could totally Kirito-kun this whole world but that wouldn't be as much fun. ;)

Would there be any way for Saito to tell that the berries were poisonous, or that his new skills have appeared? Like, do they churn his guts just enough to make him say "uh oh" but then it suddenly clears up after he swallows the animal flesh in his mouth? Like Guy said it'd be pretty in-character for him to offer food to others in the future >_>

Also, I was under the impression we were all picking one skill at a time because that's all we could get from eating one monster, but if it just uses up multiple uses of Absorb then I'd like to retro-actively absorb the Scaled Shrew's other two skills if possible. As Mr. Miyagi said, "Most important rule of Karate: defense!"

If there's anybody out there who feels like Saito could help them at the moment, speak up! Except y'all out there with the orc, y'all are fucked. J/K

@Zeroth Yeah, going all Kirito would be late. I mean, why even isekai in the first place, right?

Uh, not anymore. If he ate the berries and not the shrew, he might have, since he went the other way around, he's kinda safe. He'll find out they're poisonous when someone else eats them.

Ah, yeah. Sure. I don't mind. No take backs though. Saito learned...Shell Defense and Defensive Curl.

Shell Defense: - When using objects made from organic shells, they will have increased defensive power. It makes breaking through their organic defenses. (Passive)
Defensive Stance: - When assuming a defensive stance, the user receives increased defenses against physical attacks. (Active)

@RC3 A question, do Absorption uses carry over after a rank up if we haven't used them all up?

i.e I have 6/8 and I rank up, now I have (8+6=)14/8

@Vec Good question. Nope, they don't. So its advisable to use them up before evolving. For now, hunts are simple so the increments to the levels isn't that high, but harder hunts can boost levels up by at least around 20.
