My apologies for being silent the past few days and not updating. Dunno what it is, but some mix of the quarantine and midterms completely sapped my motivation for writing for a bit. I'll try and get an update post out within the next few days, and I'm sorry for making you guys wait for...what amounts to nothing at all major. It isn't fair to you guys.

Just a quick question regarding the Overseer Dopplers. More specifically, Aristotle.
How did he manage to assume Charme's form? To be very specific, Charme has always spent 99% of her time inside the Wishing Well, with extremely limited and bordering on legendarily rare excursions outside her little personal sphere. Ever since the Chateau arrived in the New World, Charme has only ever left the Wishing Well twice - once to snag food from Flan's kitchen, and once for her mssion with Kath, which is where she is now. Thus, her likelihood of ever having run into Aristotle is close to zero, which begs the question: How did he manage to copy her?

Charme is, as her character sheet explains, an incredibly paranoid and secretive person, who goes through extraordinary lengths to avoid having anything related to her copied, discerned or stolen. She may seem open and flirty when Rodias visits her, but that's only because he did so in her own domain, where nobody else could see or hear them. Now, I'm not saying she can't be copied or mimicked, I'm just asking when and how he managed to get a read on her - especially since he's been away at a different location all this time, and Charme and Chuunitrixx haven't ever met face-to-face. No way in heck that the selfish PowderPlaguePuff would let his precious creation get close to someone who could copy her and all the stuff she knows. :P

Again, it's not an impossibility and it's not something that needs editing or re-doing. I'm simply just curious.

Might as well ask a question here too. How long of a time-gap is there inbetween the attack on the Chateau and Tabula and Papillary's sudden rise to level 45? Also, when and where did Graft get the resources to put together the EXP Farm? I thought you mentioned earlier that the Factory was very low on resources, and given that Chuunitrixx's mimics only share 5% of their brought-home materials with the entire Chateau, it seems a bit strange how Graft had the the resources and time to put this togther so fast. o_o;

Of course, that's just my opinion, and again, I don't know the time-lapse for all of these things.

Can't answer for Graft, can answer for me, since I actually explain that to Tree to get his approval on it, last night.

In not-so-basic summary, Socrates found that Kath's Library contains all recorded information from all members of Bandersnatch (as affirmed by Guess Who), and she updated the task of the already established network of Sentries and Proxies that function as an surveillance(-turned-spying) system to take "snapshots" of NPC information -- that is to say, mimic a single level of their Racial or Job Classes at random with their [Mimic] Class -- as they roam the halls and public grounds to align that with the research that she personally does as a function of Settlement Alpha.

By putting it all together, in tandem with the [Greater/Doppelganger] Job Classes, she can fabricate a "template" of the NPC from a combination of researching, looking through memories (primarily Rodias), and taking some educated guesses from Kath's own notations.

Since Charme has walked the halls and grounds, and Rodias has recently interacted with her, her CS has been dissected through this process, and stocked on an Alpha Upgraded Survivor (henceforth called a "Mannequin") to be held and used as the Overseers deem fit.

There's no canon statement that a Doppelganger is bound to the Level of the Character they are copying, just that they can only draw on an percentage-based level of power -- it genuinely just takes ONE level to copy an entire person, and that's all that's noted. So, to balance this author oversight, the [Greater/Doppelganger] Job Classes gain "Artificial Levels" to match the requirements of their "Doppel", but the taxation is even greater than if they had the levels to match; going off the rules in placement for a the Lv100 Pandora's Actor being able to draw on only 80% of the Lv100 Ainz Ooal Gown's CS.

This is elaborated on in that Socrates can use [Open Link] effectively, if she is ONLY using it, and basically standing absolutely still, whereas Graft can do multiple tasks while maintaining multiple links, rather well. Theoretically, they could use this system to get "Artificial Levels" equaling 100, but there would be diminishing to abjectly pointless returns, as the Level Gap Tax takes power away -- effectively, allowing, them to draw, maybe 10~20% of a Level 100 CS.

That might sound like a no-biggie on paper, but in practice, requiring 10 Doppelgangers pr 5 Greater Doppelgangers to use, POTENTIALLY, 100% of an Ability is not a proper use of resources.

..and, speaking of resources, I guess I can answer for Graft a bit.

Enderall doesn't NEED all the materials that Socrates withholds from Rodias, much to say, she doesn't need 85% of it. So, one can assume that Socrates quietly disseminates materials through Gothika, and just doesn't say anything. She's bitchy and prideful, but not heartless; Gothika is her home, and everyone inside is her family -- even their dear Director Superior.

The growth wasn't instant. I've been mentioning that Tabula and Papillary have been training for almost the whole RP using Graft's minions that he cuts loose via his control to become enemies. The reason I gave a level now was that they couldn't go any higher because there weren't any stronger minions.

Enkryption mentioned that there are a lot more resources to go around than you thought, which Graft will use without caring where they come from, and which Graft is pretty much the sole claimer of since nobody else is really doing any expansion. Plus, the room itself isn't new, since constructing brand new rooms in the limited confines of a larger building doesn't make sense, but rather a recycled manufactory. The materials of the machines in there were reused. Plus, he really did get the monsters from Kaldorna. I spoke to Draco about it and we made an arrangement. I mentioned that the Factory was low on resources way earlier when it was, before the mimics started trucking stuff in.

- Mamoru created a network of spies with her clones.
- Chuunitrixx sent our her mimics to create villages and camps outside the Chateau.
- A level 100 Gorgon, who was also a Player from YGGDRASIL; attacked the Chateau.
- Gromgard, Lord Chimpy Bits and Ashara took on a cult.
- Chuunitrixx lost an arm.
- Zouyu fell in love with Ashara.
- Chuunitrixx gave birth, then smashed up, four eggs.
- Ratta died, then was resurrected.
- Graft's conspiring to take over the Chateau.
- Kaldorna and friends went out and caught some local wildlife.
- Isolde got turned to stone.
- Salem did some weapon-testing with Charme.
- Flan and Violet took a steamy bath together.
- Bone Daddy turned into a skeleton mecha.
- Rodias became depressed.

So yeah, a few things have happened.
