For the question above this one, I tend to go full designer mode when changing up homes in the sims games. Curse you fIRE LIMITS-

I barely played any card games besides UNO, so lets go in general here.

...Actually, I don't have an exact favorite video game either. I'd probably say for the moment Persona 5 (Really want Royal ;-;) and Nier:Automata. Mobile game wise, Cookie Run:Ovenbreak and now Identity V.

There was a time when I would say Nier but that monkey paw has curled thanks to an abundance of thirst patrols and one android in a leotard. So instead I'm going to say two novel series I enjoy and wish they had the same treatment as like a Game of Thrones or a Westworld (meaning, like, a Netflix or Prime or Hulu original adaptation at the least). The Honorverse series by David Weber and the Malazan Book of the Fallen series by Steven Erikson. Honorverse is some real good sci-fi ass sci-fi complete with bulky ass naval spaceships doing war games and political scheming between planets and systems and all that good shit. Malazan Book of the Fallen is just some fantastic world and character building that starts small in scope but expands outward and is one of the few high fantasy things I like.

Now for my question:

I once spent about $400 in a mobile game. No, I won't say which. But that leads into the question: Have you ever purchased something and immediately regretted it?

Oh that's easy. Queen of Hearts by Fucked Up. I turn it up and I can't stop myself from belting out the chorus every time, especially the Veronica chorus and the Veronica verse.

Weekend dinners, because I don't have to cook. Favourite thing to eat is really anything involving potatoes or cheese. Or potatoes and cheese.

Happy Mothers day to all the mothers out there, by the way.

What is your favourite recipe? (for food, disaster, etc. I'm not picky.)

Right now? Blueberry buckwheat buttermilk waffles. Just crunchy enough, easy to make, flavorful and delicious and healthy.

My friends and I have a band but don't really have a place to practice since we live in the city. We used to use a local college campus's music center as a practice space when it's empty but with the pandemic closing it down, we've not really been in a good position for that sort of thing. So we'll probably be back to that shortly-ish.

Do you ever drag your hands against the edges of things just to feel your fingertips shudder as the edges lock in and out of each and every ridge like a snowboard jittering down a pyramid?

Do I run my fingertips over things with a thick texture? Yes. It's something I did more when I was younger however. I'm not sure if that's because I seldom find objects with rough textures or because it's something one grows out of. If I have to inspect the bottom of my shoes I usually will run my finger over the tread.

How frequently do you find yourself making your RP character do something that you don't want them to do, but it's in character for them so you end up doing it anyway?

I woke up to coffee. May not seem like much but it's the little things at this point lol. Waking up dreading work but then there's hot coffee that's actually delicious waiting for you and not some crap I tried to make myself. That relief tends to bleed into the rest of the day and kind of makes things easier or at the very least tolerable.

The most cherished breakfast recipe from my youth is Flip's One Flip Pancakes recipe from The Beanie Baby Cookbook.

I N G R E D I E N T S

3/4 cup milk (can add up to 1 cup)
1 egg
2 tablespoon butter, melted
1 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt

maple syrup; jam; raspberries,
blueberries or chopped apple; chocolate
chips; nuts

H O W T O M A K E ' E M

- In a medium sized bowl, add milk (start with 3/4 cup and add more depending on how thick you like them)
- Melt butter either in a microwave, or on top of the stove, and add to the bowl. Mix lightly.
- Break egg in a small bowl, then add to the milk mixture.
- In another bowl, add flour, baking powder sugar, and salt, mix well. Now add these 2 mixtures together.
- Beat mixture lightly with a spoon, do not over mix or this will toughen the pancakes. it is ok if the batter appears lumpy.
- Lightly grease a skillet of griddle with butter and heat over medium heat.
- Spoon batter onto skillet, into large or small pancakes. (Add chopped nuts, chocolate, or fruit if desired.)
- When bubbles start to appear and burst, flip pancakes.
- Cook other side of pancakes until lightly browned.
- Serve immediately with butter and syrup, or jam and fresh fruits.
- Serves four people "purrrfectly."

A F O O D T I P F R O M N I P & Z I P

Add blueberries, strawberries or chocolate chips. Top with whipped cream, maple and chocolate syrup. Delicately slice off one small perfect triangle and freeze the rest! From Zip: Someone's been eating too much catnip!

What is your most memorable and/or best museum experience?

Last year while visiting Amsterdam I had the opportunity to meet up with @Hank and together we went full circle on an utterly awful meme that had been a major part of our discord server. That I wanted to go to the Sex Museum in Amsterdam. I'd heard of it before because it seems to be one of those tacky tourist spots.

The Sex Museum was exactly what I thought it was going to be. Tacky, gaudy, out of date, full of tourists. But you know what? I treasure that memory because we had a great laugh, took some questionable photos, and left having closed the door on that humorous recurring joke among our server.

On a nicer note, we also visited the Rijksmuseum (Museum of the Realm).

We looked at a lot of the displays, and had a lot of fun eyeing up the weapons through the ages and talking about how they related to some of our roleplay characters - and much of our wander we were just shooting the shit about that. Anyway, we came through to the art gallery and we got to see The Night Watch by Rembrandt, and I will also treasure the memory of Hank talking to me about this painting and its place in Dutch culture. It was absolutely marvelous to see. We also saw The Threatened Swan which is one of Hank's favourite paintings so it was nice to hear my friend gush about that.

What was the last thing that made you cry?

The last thing that I can say really made me cry was something personal but I'll share it. It was my grandfather's funeral of this year, it wasn't by covid sure but it still hurt when people are losing the people that mattered when it comes to loved ones. Other things came close or made me upset but crying is something I rarely do now but losing people I care about hurts.

I recently sat next to a fire pit with a mug of hot chocolate. This mug had the little marshmallows in it that remind you that you were once a kid but fuck it you can still enjoy this. So I did. Very content indeed. Also very warm.

Is there a word you really dislike? Why?

I'm sure if I thought about it long enough, I could come up with an answer other than "moist", and for obvious reasons. But I honestly have such a respect for language in general that I find misuse or under-use of any word depressing.

I used to be a hard line, militant atheist even though I was raised Catholic. Started changing my views a little bit after I survived a suicide attempt a little more than a year ago. I definitely believe in something, and it stands to reason to me that anything that created us would see to it that our lives are more than just the seventy-ish years we get on Earth. I'm basically of the opinion that heaven, or something sort of like it, is real. I don't believe in hell, though. I can't quite mesh the idea of an all-loving God with the idea of hell in my head, it just doesn't click.

I can't quite make myself believe in it, probably just because it's so culturally far removed from the religious teaching I grew up with, but reincarnation would be tight as fuck. I'm not betting on it, but that's what I'm personally hoping for.
