Scrambled eggs were one of the best ways to enjoy the gift to humanity that chickens had long bestowed. Hearing that the girl that was sitting in front of Charlie was rather disheartening and a bit of a tragedy to him. But, everyone was entitled to their own opinion, as much as he may have disagreed with it. There was nothing stopping them from expressing it. However, Charlie wanted to err on the side of caution and nod accordingly, before picking at his eggs again and eating them. But at the same time, how could someone not like eggs? Unless they were allergic, there really was no reason to!

Looking up at Talya as she asked about his life, he blinked twice and chucked a bit. Now Charlie wasn't one to involve himself in petty school drama or anything of that sort. So no, nothing spicy was going on in his life if Talya was. Well, that was a lie. Charlie looked down at his red-tinted eggs, before putting the last bite in his mouth and swallowing. "Yeah, I guess we could say there's something spicy in my life right now." Charles grinned, "The bottle of Tapatio I poured on these eggs was pretty spicy."

Charlie didn't think Talya heard any of that, as the bell had rung just as he got to the joke. He was just about to get up and put his tray away before Talya plucked his hand away and scribbled something into it. It took him by surprise, before she said her goodbyes. "Right, see ya, Talya." He replied. Charlie picked up the tray in one hand and putting it against his hip. Charlie opened his other hand, looking at the number that was scribbled on his hand. "Huh.... is that an eight.... or....?"

The thing about being caught between his best friends talking about their relationship problems was that he was jealous of them both. As a bisexual guy, it was easy finding both Frankie and Theo attractive. So while Sol didn't like Frankie, and Leo didn't like Theo - Sam landed the perfect opportunity to be Switzerland and enjoy the view. Seeing how flustered Sol had gotten once Theo walked through the door made it nearly impossible for him to contain his smirk. It wasn't everyday he got the chance to see his friend so flustered - especially over a guy.

As the discussion continued on about skipping the assembly, Sam chewed on his bacon, staring off into space until Sol brought him back to reality with the announcement of her departure. His mouth full, all Sam could do was wave as she walked away.

"Women, am I right?" Leo asked.

"Can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em, eh?"

As Wesley approached their table Sam gave the young man a nod of welcoming, shoveling down the last of his breakfast as he did so. Rolling his eyes at the mention of classes, his curiosity and mood were lifted immediately at the mention of the party.

"Yo. Someone's finally throwing a party around here?" Obviously both excited and shocked, Sam wanted to stay and get every detail for himself. Sadly his first class of the day was all the way across campus. "One of you guys text me with the details. I gotta get going before Mr. Nichols kills me."

A @smarty0114 and @Kitty collab
Featuring: Bradley Barron and Hana Jeong
Location: Arts Building

Upon reaching the Arts building, Hana sat down on one of the chairs just inside the doors. She took a moment catching her breath before she pulled her sleeves up to inspect her arms, which had taken the brunt of her fall. A few bruises were beginning to form on her forearms where she caught herself to keep from face planting and she definitely still felt the pain from the initial impact. Yeah, those were gonna be some nasty bruises tomorrow and the next day and so on. Looks like she was wearing long sleeves for a while to hide the bruises. She didn’t need more attention than that she was gonna get from falling in the cafeteria where she did. Hana didn’t mind attention at times, but too much of it and she became overwhelmed and well, she would flee just as she did right then.

Hana’s thoughts over what had happened were interrupted by the sound of the door opening, she pulled her sleeves down and looked up to see a slightly out of sorts Bradley entering. She offered a slight smile to him as he asked her if she was okay, feeling thankful that someone came to check on her. “I’m fine. My arms took most of the impact so they are a bit sore, but otherwise fine. Thank you for coming and checking on me.” Hana pushed her anxiety over the issue to the side and put on her normal, sweet smile as she responded. She’d learned how to hide her inner turmoils long ago and would continue to do so to keep from being seen as too weak.

“Are you okay? You didn’t need to come running after me.” She was well aware the two weren’t close but he’d still come to check on her and he looked a bit distressed himself. Probably from the run if she had to guess. Had taken a slight toll on her as well.

Bradley smiled in between breaths and ran a hand through his hair. “Yeah, yeah, I’m fine,” Bradley said glancing away as he lied. What would Hana think of his sudden memory loss, if that’s even what it was? He wasn’t sure he was ready to open that can of worms. Better to ignore it. “Don’t worry about it, I was about to head this way anyways,” Bradley said. He pursed his lips, as if his words were fighting to get out, to make him seem like a complete and total nut job. Chill out man. It’s early, you haven’t been sleeping. Nothing weird about forgetting your little brother’s name.

“I was gonna try and finish my painting before class, if you wanted to join?” Bradley asked, gesturing towards one of the easel filled rooms.

Observing him as he spoke, Hana noticed the uneasiness and was curious if there was more to it. After thinking it over, she just assumed that it was because the two weren’t that close to begin with and that they were both on the more awkward side. When Bradley mentioned he was already heading this way, she couldn’t help but feel relieved that she didn’t draw him away from where he really needed to go.

Upon being invited to join Bradley in painting, her eyes lit up. Her smile widening as she stood up. “I’d love to join!” Hana happily answered, heading towards the art room he gestured towards. Once she got in the room, she hung up her bag and scarf once more. Hana then grabbed some watercolors, a cup of water, paintbrushes and some watercolor paper before sitting at one of the easels. For a moment she looked at the paper as slowly a vision formed on the paper, then she began to work.

Bradley dropped his bag next to a stool and went over to one of the many closets that lined the walls of the room. Opening it up, he pulled out a canvas, already half painted a myriad of colors against a dark background. On one side, the late hours of a city were beginning to take shape. On the other, gray lines from a pencil left a blueprint to follow. He placed the canvas on the easel next to Hana’s, grabbed a set of brushes and paints, and took a seat.

He glanced over at Hana a few times while they worked, before finally speaking up. “This might sound kind of weird, but, do you ever have like, holes in your memory? Like something you should remember, but it’s just not there?”

The scratching of pencil on paper halted as Hana paused her sketch and leaned back, Bradley’s question echoing in her mind as she contemplated the idea. Holes in her memory? Did she have holes in her memory? Hana let her mind wander to thoughts before the school, to her family, to her parents. What did they look like again? That’s odd, she didn’t remember what they looked like.

Eyebrows furrowed from thinking about his question, Hana nodded. “I think I know what you are getting at. Like you are missing faces or names or just things that you feel should be remembered but aren’t there.” She glanced at Bradley curious if she was understanding him correctly.

“Exactly!” Hana’s words brought on a sense of relief. They might not have given him any answers, but it made him feel far less crazy. “At least it’s not just me then. I just feel like these last couple of weeks, like I’m missing something. I don’t know, sorry, that probably makes no sense. I should stop staying up all night,” Bradley said, shaking his head as he brushed gentle strokes along the canvas.

Returning to her sketch, Hana listened to Bradley continue to talk. If they were both experiencing it, then it must be normal right? Forgetting a few things that seem like they should be there but aren’t. Maybe it is just part of growing up. Just part of being a teenager. Hana wasn’t quite sure but it felt good knowing she wasn’t alone now that she really thought about the things she didn’t know. “Maybe it is just part of growing up and being teenagers.” Hana reiterated her thoughts out loud to Bradley so he wouldn’t think she was ignoring him, all the while still working on her sketch for her watercolors. Her focus slowly dwindling from the conversation to the art she had started.

Bradley nodded along in agreement. “Yeah, maybe.” He wanted to believe that Hana was correct, that this was all a very normal occurrence. For now, he decided that he would do just that, and focus on the painting that still needed his attention. There would be other times to evaluate his diminishing sanity.

A brilliant red and orange sunset peeked out from behind the mountains in the distance, mirroring this morning's peaceful sunrise. Another day on campus was drawing to a close, and Dr. Wayman was getting ready to speak to the “students” in this evening’s all school assembly as their fearless Headmaster. The famed scientist could have had anyone impersonate the leader of the school, but he took on the responsibility, desiring the opportunity to get to know the test subjects first hand. Dr. Wayman needed to learn about them, understand them better, all while visualising their personality traits up close. No scientific paper or observation from afar could replace a first hand account.

Shrugging off his white lab coat, Dr. Wayman replaced the fabric that draped over his shoulders with a professional blazer, smoothing down the sleeves instinctively as he checked his watch for the time. If he didn’t leave now, he was going to be tardy. With a hurried gate, he grabbed his bullet points and rushed out of his office, ensuring that he closed and locked the door behind him. His suite was located in the farthest depths of the teacher’s wing in the academic building, completely unheard of and unseen by the “students”. There was too much valuable information in there to risk having a test subject stumble across something they shouldn’t lay their eyes on. The older man scurried towards the auditorium, not wanting to be late to his own assembly. After a few minutes of navigating through campus, Dr. Wayman arrived at his destination, already met with students relaxing in the plush stadium seating awaiting his presence.

Clearing his throat, Dr. Wayman- rather, Headmaster Wayman- meagerly approached the microphone, tapping it twice to make sure it was on. Once students had noticed him take the podium, and heard his impromptu mic check, they quieted down and waited expectantly for him to speak. The scientist was not normally a strong public speaker (he spent 95% of his time in the lab), but if he was going to be believable, he needed to put on a show. With his shoulders back and chest lifted, Wayman began to talk.

“Students, thank you for joining me this evening. We are nearly two months into the school year and I hope you have acclimated yourselves to our campus environment. I encourage you all to continue fostering positive relationships with your peers and the faculty. We want nothing more for you to feel at home here at San Agustin.” Dr. Wayman let his eyes drift down to the podium, shifting his papers to get a better look at his announcements. His colleagues had given him this list based on their observations over the past few weeks. Most of them were quite mundane, but nonetheless, he informed the students appropriately.

“Now, just a few orders of housekeeping from the campus staff. Firstly, please keep in mind that mealtimes are concrete. The kitchen personnel work incredibly hard to prepare 50 different catered meals three times a day so please respect them by showing up to the correct meals at the correct times. As a refresher, breakfast is served from 7AM to 10AM, lunch is served from 12PM to 2PM, and dinner is served from 5PM to 7PM. If you show up outside of those times, there is an array of snacks, fresh fruits, veggies, and smoothies to tide you over until the next meal.” In an experiment, you needed to keep everything controlled, and Wayman argued that the students shouldn't be left to their own devices. Meal times needed to stay the same- a routine was necessary.

“Additionally, Halloween is next week. Please feel free to dress up for class if you so desire as the administration is planning a series of events throughout the day in order to celebrate. There are some spooky surprises in store, so it’s sure to be a frightening day. After our on campus festivities, if you choose to observe Halloween in the way that young people seem to do… please do so responsibly.” Dr. Wayman wanted to let out a stifled laugh, already well aware that these students were planning on throwing a “get together” over the weekend, but he held it back. His staff had heard murmurings of it in the cafeteria this morning and quickly let him know that this would be occurring, as they hoped at one point during the experiment they would be able to see the effects of alcohol on the test subjects. They were looking forward to leaving the keys of one of the school vans out in the open for someone to find. After all, they weren’t just going to hand them the booze... they needed to figure it out for themselves or else they may catch on. Dr. Wayman set down his papers and looked directly at the students, knowing exactly what the last announcement was without looking.

“Lastly, and most importantly, on Wednesday the administration will be hosting a school wide scavenger hunt to promote community on our small campus. All students will be split into small teams and will complete both physical and mental challenges together. The goal is to complete each task and do so with the fastest time. The winners will receive a prize, which is still to be determined, but I assure you it will be worth your efforts.” Whisperings of chatter erupted in the auditorium. He could tell this came as a slight shock to some of the students, but nonetheless, he continued.

“Classes will be cancelled in order to accommodate the event. We hope you take this as an opportunity to work collaboratively with your peers in a new and fun way. Your teams are posted outside on the bulletin board and I implore you to connect with them before Wednesday.” Dr. Wayman let a grin slip out from his emotionless façade. He was looking forward to seeing how these kids worked together, for better or for worse. It sure was going to be fun, and not just for the students.

“That will be all. Have a nice evening.”

A scavenger hunt? Really? Who's grand idea was this?

After the assembly, news of the scavenger hunt is what everyone is talking about across campus (including those who admittedly skipped the campus mandated meeting), but even if you're not excited about the event, you're still going to try and enjoy your Monday night.

Interactions • None - just a lot of introspection and observation
MentionsDwayne @Ejected | Tyler Jane & Leo @Melissa | Quinn @Filthy Mudblood | Sol @Rosalia

As Nicholas sat high up in the bleachers, which was a rare move for him, or at least it felt like it was something he wouldn’t do. Whatever the case, there he was, high in the bleachers, away from most but able to see them all and gauge their reactions as Headmaster Wayman began speaking.

Like past assemblies, there was an emphasis on positive relationships with both student and faculty alike. Nicholas couldn’t say he ever thought of hitting up one of the teachers for advice. He had done so once and it was absolutely terrible advice. That’s how he found himself not only involved with Dwayne, which wasn’t to say there weren’t obvious benefits. Dwayne was like the sweet hersey’s kiss that has a surprising spicy note in the middle. But the advice Nicholas was given was now a bittersweet memory because he now found himself in the middle of wanting to see where things go with D and testing the waters with Tyler Jane.

“It’s such a burden being this good looking,” Nicholas muttered to himself. He wasn’t blind and clearly those who had looked at him weren’t either. Still, he couldn’t help but wonder just how long these interactions with Dwayne and Tyler Jane would remain a secret from each other, or god forbid, they become information that reach a certain foxy blonde’s ears. “A whole lotta nope there.”

As he let out a quiet sigh and refocused on the headmaster who was now talking about Halloween. “One of my favorite occasions. With so many with the looks of supermodels and the fashion sense of strippers, the world was our oyster.” The thought immediately brought a smirk to the boy’s face. Whether it was about what others would dress up as would remain a mystery as the final topic Wayman finally arrived.

“Lastly, and most importantly, on Wednesday the administration will be hosting a school-wide scavenger hunt to promote community on our small campus. All students will be split into small teams and will complete both physical and mental challenges together. The goal is to complete each task and do so with the fastest time. The winners will receive a prize, which is still to be determined, but I assure you it will be worth your efforts.”

“Scavenger hunt, huh?”

Nicholas had to admit that was the M. Night Shamalan twist he didn’t expect, but just like Glass, it was a surprise hit that he welcomed with open interest. He leaned forward, taking in the final words that Wayman had to say.

“And just like that, this eventful Monday wraps up nicely.”

Letting it set in, Nicholas made his way out of the auditorium, certainly following the crowd of people gathering outside and by the bulletin board. Quickly, he gracefully slid between students and looked for his name. There were six teams of three students per. Laughing at the thought of Leo and Francesca on the same team, that was one guy Nicholas didn’t envy. He had a wider smile when he saw his team.

Sol was a good friend and an occasional confidant about the trivial things in his life. He wouldn’t call her his best friend but he felt they had great chemistry. His only worry was Quinn. He knew how he was with her but he couldn’t say how Sol was. “I suppose we’ll find out just how well we all click.”

Hands fell into his pants pocket, and Nicholas just drifted away from the crowd.

The rest of Billie's day went fairly smooth. Class after class and assignment after assignment, her day was neither boring, nor exciting. Last nights dream kept replaying in her over and over, making it difficult for her to concentrate. She had been having the same reoccurring dream since she had came to San Agustin, so why did her brain decide to switch things up on her now? More importantly, why did the dream feel so real, and why did she feel like she knew those people?

Sitting in the auditorium, Billie rolled her eyes as Mr. Wayman began to speak. Just another adult with more boring shit to say. His mention of Halloween resulted in Billie actually paying attention for a brief moment. Halloween had always been her favorite holiday. Now she needed to come up with a costume. In her moment of excitement, Billie had all but forgotten about her dream. Sitting up in her chair, the young woman squinted her eyes in confusion. A scavenger hunt? With teams?

Reading the list, Billie was to focused on her team to pay attention to anyone else.

Who the fuck was Charles? Billie had only been at this place for two months, but she was fairly certain that no one named Charles even exited. Furthermore - "Which idiotic, cock sucking dumbass thought it was a good idea to put me and Erica on the same team?!" In her shock and anger, Billies inner thoughts came out just a bit louder than she intended, causing a few heads to turn her way.

Grabbing her phone from her pocket, Billie quickly sent a some-what heated text to Leo. Snapping a picture of the teams, she was sure to attach it to the message. She hadn't seen him here, and knowing Leo he had most likely skipped. This was fairly big news though, so she had to keep him in the loop. Leo had chosen to respond in his usual 'come over' manner. Rolling her eyes again, Billie sent him another text telling him that she'd be there in a few minutes. Leo was fairly good for conversation, but his company was even better when he wasn't talking. A good fuck to release her frustrations was needed, and if he was willing...

"Erica?" she repeated. "What kind of shit...." Billie clenched her jaw in frustration as she marched off towards Leo's dorm room.

Featuring: Leo Brooks @Melissa, Soleil Jamson @Rosalia and Samuel Costigan @HaleyTheRandom
Special guest appearance: Billie Jean Grey
Location: Leo’s Dorm Room

If you had made the decision to walk into Leo Brooks’ dorm around the time of the assembly, you would have been quite confused. For starters, there were three students clearly not in attendance of the mandatory meeting, as they were all present in the room. Second, there were random articles of clothing strewn across an otherwise spotless floor- a few shirts and a pair of pants had been tossed aside carelessly. And third, the discarded shirts and pants didn’t all belong to Leo.

Sol, Leo, and Sam sat in the center of the floor, a deck of cards having been dealt between them and a lighthearted game of Texas hold'em underway. However, as evidenced by their various stages of undress, this was a round of strip poker. Leo sat with his bare back up against his wooden dresser, chiseled abs on full display as he peeked at his two cards that were pressed against the carpet. He had won the previous round, but had lost the one before that, resulting in his lack of shirt. With a chuckle, he turned to his friends. “So what do you think those losers are talking about right now at the assembly?”

Propped up against the bed, Sam currently was looking at the cards he held in his hands, and comparing them to the three currently making up what people would call the flop. He had a decent chance of winning this round if he got the right cards, but his luck was a little off tonight. He was already missing his jeans, as well as his right sock. With a sigh, he grabbed his bottle of water and took a sip, laying his cards face down.

”No idea. Probably something boring like grades, or a dance or something,” he said, somewhat dismissively. In the split second it took him to realize what he had said, his face lit up in a disgusted sense of shock. ”You don’t think they’d make us have a freaking dance, do you?”

“I wouldn’t be mad if they do…” Sol quietly admitted, her sharp eyes shifting between Leo and Sam for any tell-tale signs that they might be jeopardizing her chances to win. She had already been stripped of the rights to wear her oversized black T-shirt: as evidenced by her bare midriff and black sports bra. The last thing she wanted was to lose the privilege of wearing her dark red gym shorts as well. She needed to win. “You can have a fucking blast at school dances.”

Leo scoffed, “Yeah, that’s cause you and a certain someone would be getting cozy in the corner.” As the dealer, the dark haired boy looked to his friends to see their reactions as he flipped the fourth card over to join the flop as the turn. Since this was strip poker, there wasn’t so much betting as there was just flat out losing, so he skipped the pleasantries and went right for the cards. Leo hadn’t let Sol forget about this morning’s interesting breakfast discussion, especially her mindless remarks that painted a revolting picture of her skinny dipping with Theo. “Forget about a stupid dance, all anyone cares about is the after party... but what about an all school dodgeball competition! I don’t know about you guys, but I’d certainly enjoy pelting foam balls at certain people for fun.”

“Those aren’t the only balls you like to toss around so happily…” came the girl’s quick reply, accompanied by the slyest of smiles. Ever since she let the skinny dipping story slip at breakfast, Leo hadn’t stopped giving her hell about it. And of course, Sol being Sol, she was giving him hell right back. After all the times she’d had to put up with his explicit, cringey stories about that pharmacy blonde she couldn’t stand, it brought her a sense of satisfaction to know that she had her own weapon to repulse him with now.

Sam shrugged his shoulders, putting the cap back on his water. ”I dunno, Sol. Something about being made to dance around with a shit ton of other awkward people doesn't sit right with me. If someone spiked the punch, then I’d go.” As Leo laid down the fourth card, Sam double checked his two, doing his best not to let the enthusiasm show on his face. Did he have a chance at winning this round? ”Dodgeball sounds alright. I always loved making the other team beg for mercy.”

“Now that’s my kind of party.” Leo smirked while Sol rolled her eyes, slipping his hand into the pocket of his jeans and pulling out a toothpick to stick in between his gritted teeth. “You and I will have to organize a game, Sam. Show people on campus what’s up.” Without another word, he flipped the last card over, the river. “Fuck.” He murmured as his eyes hit the ace of spades, the card staring evilly back at him. “Alright, what’s everyone got.” Leo looked around, waiting to see everyone’s cards.

Sam was the first to lay down his cards, showing that he had a three of a kind in jacks. ”I refuse to take off my other sock,” he said triumphantly. ”Er… unless one of you guys have a better hand, of course.”

Finally, it was time for Soleil’s blank face to be transformed by an ear to ear grin. “Read it and weep, boys!” she announced, gleefully throwing her cards in front of her to show off the three aces and the two kings that had previously been on her hand. “Your pants come off, your sock comes off and my panties get to stay a mystery.”

“You fucking bitch.” Leo grimaced as his best friend winked mischievously at him, throwing down the two cards he was holding. He had a measly two pair consisting of eights and fours and couldn’t surpass her full house, but he already knew this round was going down the drain when Sam laid down his cards. With an exasperated sigh, Leo pressed his palms into the floor in order to stand up, proceeding to take off his belt and unbutton his blue jeans. He let them fall and bunch around his ankles, revealing crisp white boxer briefs underneath.

Although she tried her hardest, there was no stopping Sol’s eyes from carefully running down Leo’s newly exposed clothing garment. “Hmmmm… I never would have pegged you for a plain white boxer guy, dude. But now I can kinda see why there’s a line of girls trying to get in here,” she joked, before looking back at his face with another mischievous grin. “Teddy’s is bigger, though-- no offense. I’m just glad it’s something nobody else knows,” the young woman added, unable to stop herself from taking another shot at her best friend.

Wrinkling his nose in disgust, Sam looked from one friend to the other. "You guys are gross," he said, removing his shirt. Sam was a man of his word, and he wasn't taking off his other sock. "What if our boy Leo is more of a grower?"

Soleil snickered and shrugged. "Then I guess you'll have to check it out and tell me later, 'cause there is no way I'm volunteering for that kind of research with him."

Sam scrunched up his face in a goofy manner, looking Sol up and down. ”Giirrrllll… you nasty.” The girl winked at him and chuckled.

Leo clenched his jaw and could feel the muscles in his back tense up. He hated being compared to Theo. Sure, Sol was just joking around, but something about being put in the same sentence as the guy just made his blood boil. He could care less about the literal comparison- what was frustrating was the metaphorical juxtaposition of one being “better” than the other. Leo was better than Theo, he knew that he was better, and didn’t need anyone telling him that he wasn’t. Especially Sol. He rolled his eyes, slipping his ankles and feets out of his jeans and throwing them at her.

“You’re right, there is a line of girls waiting to get in here-” Almost as if on cue, his phone buzzed from his nightstand. “In fact, that must be one of them right now.” Leo smirked devilishly and reached to grab it, his expression not faltering when he saw who it was. “Well would you look at that. It is.”

hey dipshit. didn't see you at the assembly. we got assigned bullshit teams, and i might need you to come visit me in prison when I kill erica.

Leo’s brow furrowed as he scanned the list that Billie sent him. A scavenger hunt? Not exactly what he had pictured the all school event to be, but not terrible. He was a competitive guy and always down to win something, so this was alright by him. “We have our answer- school wide scavenger hunt on Wednesday. Billie texted me the teams, it’s groups of three.” He tossed his phone to Sam so he could take a look as well.

”Scavenger hunt? Are they gonna make us hunt for school supplies or something?” A confused Sam caught Leo’s phone, scrolling down to see who he was paired with.”I got Zakya and Hana.” Sam didn’t know too much about the former, but the later had the tendency to make him want to scream. "Hopefully Hana can make some decisions and not be so shy about shit and we might have a chance at winning whatever this is.” He passed the phone to Sol before taking another drink of his water.

As soon as she had the phone in her possession and read the names accompanying her own, Sol impulsively tossed the device back to its owner. If it had been her own, chances are it wouldn't have survived her furious toss against the floor. "This is fucking bullshit…" she growled, once again feeling that familiar anger of earlier bubbling its way back to the surface. "Nick is fine, but Quinn?! It's like they want me to lose my shit. Who the fuck came up with these bullshit groups, anyway?"

Leo shrugged, catching his phone and tossing back in the air just for fun. “Guess I’m the only one here who’s happy with my team? I mean, I don’t really know Dwayne, but I’m with Frankie so who cares.” He smirked, thinking about the blonde who he knew very well- almost too well. As a team they’d probably kick ass, and Leo hoped Dwayne could get on the same page as them. Fit in or fuck off, right? The dark haired boy let his phone fall back into his hands and replied to Billie.

thanks b- don’t worry i’ll post bail if necessary. I got caught up in a game of poker and ended up in my boxers… you should stop by ;)

He threw his phone back on the nightstand and looked back at his friends. “Hopefully this won’t be stupid or a waste of my time- at least classes are cancelled because of it.”

Soleil scoffed and rolled her eyes. "This is a complete waste of time."

Sam shrugged his shoulders. ”I’m with Sol on this one, man. I mean… what kind of crap could this even be? I’ve heard of camps doing scavenger hunts and shit, but… a school?”

Shaking his head, Leo sighed. “Who knows- all I do know is that we still have a few more rounds to play before I’ll be out of clothes to take off.” He wiggled his toes which were still donning white calf socks. “Hopefully I’ll be naked by the time Billie gets here...”

The young woman immediately wrinkled her nose in disgust. "You're fucking disgusting-" she told her friend, grabbing his shirt from the pile nearby and tossing it in his direction before grabbing her own and pulling it back on. "Now put your shirt back on before everyone comes back to the dorm and start asking stupid questions about why our clothes are missing. The last thing I want is for anyone to think I'm one of your whores."

If you wanted to be friends with Sol, you had to put up with her moods from time to time. Right now was one of those times. Retrieving his jeans first, Sam stood up as he put them back on. ”Yes. Heaven forbid anyone think we’re having a threesome.” Buttoning and zipping them back up, he smirked as another thought ran through his head. ”Who do you think would be the dom in the situation?”

"Oh, definitely me. If anyone asks, I took turns pegging the both of you…" Shady replied, smirking at both Leo and Sam as she stood up.

Leo refused and tossed his shirt to the side- it was his room after all and he could do what he wanted! He sat on his bed as the other two slipped back on their missing clothes. “You guys are crazy.” He remarked, running a hand through his hair to make sure it was still intact. “Now get the fuck out of my room before anyone even entertains that rumor.”

"Whatever you say boss!" the dark-haired girl teased before she gave her best friend an impish grin. "See ya," she called out to the boys before walking out the door and disappearing from sight.

Sam shrugged his shoulders and laughed. ”I dunno man. Sounds like an okay time to me.” Pulling his shirt back on over his head, the young man exited Leo’s room as he walked towards his own. “Later guys!”

In Talyas humble opinion, the assembly couldn't have been any more boring if it had tried. They got dress up for Halloween. So what? People dressed up for Halloween every year. The scavenger hunt? Stupid and boring.

She had been paired with Savannah and Wesley. Talya didn't know either of them to well, but she did know that Savannah was easy on the eyes. If there was one good thing to have come from the assembly or the scavenger hunt, it was that she got to be paired with a cute girl.

The real tea was the party Talya had overheard two of her fellow students talking about during math class. A subject she had always despised, Talya typically chose to doodle in her notebook and block out whatever the teacher was saying. Today hadn't been any different. In her attempts to completely ignore anything math related, Talya wound up listening to the conversation two girls were having nearby. Something about Erica…. Tyler Jane…. Dorm… party. Perfect.

Talya had been to busy thinking about this party to even really catch the exact details of the scavenger hunt - not that Mr. Wayman had given them that many.

When they had been dismissed, Talya began heading back towards her dorm room, glad for today's earlier news. It was about time something excited happened around here.

Teddy sat cross-armed listening to the headmaster talking. Assemblies were always such a bore to him the large young man had a hard time keeping his eyes open. He had spent the time he had between the end of classes and now locked in his room with his guitar working on some new songs. Which made him miss his afternoon nap, so he was mighty tired.

Closing his eyes for just a minute can’t hurt… can it? Whatever the headmaster was talking about couldn’t be that important. Soon enough he was laying in a field with his head in a soft lap, hands running through his hair, fierce eyes staring down at him

Dude...dude...DUDE!

With a jerk, Theodore sat up straight looking around frantically before his eyes fell on the kid that sat next to him wearing an annoyed face. “You were snoring” he scoffed “Loudly I might add!”

Wiping his shin free of some rouge drool Teddy grimaced “Shit, sorry bud… this is quite boring huh?” clearing his throat he focused his eyes back to the front. The kid just shrugged and continued to ignore him.

“...Please feel free to dress up for class if you so desire…”

Who in their right mind would ever do that? Teddy rolled his eyes settling back into his seat. But when the headmaster mentioned the scavenger hunt Teddy’s ears perked a little. There wasn’t much that he was willing to put effort into but winning was one of them. Music being the other.

“Scavenger hunt…. easy.” Teddy smiled as he stood up with the rest of the crowd moving outside. He decided to sit and wait for the crowd to thin out before he went over to the board to check out the teams. His eyes scanned the piece of paper finding his name next to two others: Bradley and Tyler Jane. He raised his eyebrows, he might have to carry his team… but it’ll work.

He hurried back to his dorm room and flung his body onto his bed quickly falling into a slumber, hoping he could go back to the dream he had.

Deciding to skip the assembly proved to be a great choice for Frankie. She had gotten so much done. The blonde had found the time to finish three of her art projects, experimenting with different mediums, and even doing laundry. She would never have done all that if she was stuck in some boring dusty old assembly. Nothing was so important as to take away from Frankie’s alone time.

She had found this energy mostly because she had skipped almost all of her afternoon classes to go back and sleep in the afternoon sun in her dorm room. Which in her eyes was an afternoon well spent. Now that she was done putting away her clothing, she was bored. She looked out of her window and saw that students were now milling about again, which probably meant that the assembly had been let out.

Frankie flopped down on her bed and dug out her phone from her overall pocket. What should she do? Or rather who should she do? The blonde girl let out a giggly hum as she scrolled through her feed. A few pictures of her fellow students passed her eyes, which got her to think… I should send out some pictures. But who to send them to?

Nicholas? No, she didn’t want to deal with his strong opinions. She wasn’t in the mood for arguing! Dwayne? No, he probably wouldn’t appreciate it. Her face lit up when a picture of her main squeeze Leo showed up on her feed. Of course! What was she even thinking? Leo was always up for some fun!

Just as she was about to set up the photo, her phone vibrated and brought her attention towards a post about the assembly. Apparently there was some scavenger hunt going on on Wednesday. A wide grin spread across the petite girl’s face when she saw who her teammates where. Perfect.

She unbuttoned her jean overalls and also the white blouse she was wearing under them. Posed in such a manner that she showed skin and her best assets and clicked her screen taking a very sultry picture.

Her fingers tapped the screen quickly tongue poking out of the corner of her mouth.

“Hey looks like we’re on the same team, huh? Lucky you…”

Frankie admired her own work before attaching the picture to the message and clicking send and laying back down.

Sitting next to her friends, Hana attended the assembly. Sitting quietly and listening diligently to all that was said.

'Halloween is next week? I almost forgot... Planning spooky surprises though? The faculty is going to make it frightening?! This is why I don't like Halloween. Its scary and creepy and not my style at all.' Hana's thoughts slipped away from what she heard the Headmaster say to terrible things they could do to scare the students, most of them barely that frightening to the normal person but alas, Hana was not normal and could be skittish at times. Even a simple loud noise could send her anxiety through the roof.

It took Hana a moment to calm herself and she only barely did so in time to hear the next announcement in regards to the scavenger hunt. As soon as she heard they would be split into small teams, she began to worry she would be in a group with people she didn't know and that she wouldn't be of any help to anyone due to her flaws, mainly her indecisiveness being a big one. But upon the teams being announced, Hana saw she was with Sam and Zakaya and felt relief wash over her. Sam was the one helping her better herself in terms of her indecisiveness. It couldn't have been any better besides getting a team with Erica. As for Zakaya, she wasn't quite familiar with the girl but she seemed nice enough so Hana figured she'd be a decent teammate. Hana wasn't sure how the day would go, but she just hoped for the best at this point.

Upon the assembly finishing Hana waved goodbye to her friends and headed back to the dorms. She went straight to her dorm and prepared for bed before sitting at her desk and finishing up any schoolwork left unfinished from before the assembly. Then she climbed into her bed with all her fluffy pillows and fluffy blanket and curled up, letting sleep overcome her as per usual, she had an early day tomorrow.

A @GhostMami & @smarty0114 Collaboration
Featuring Wesley Slater & Bradley Barron

While Headmaster Wayman droned on about the virtues of building connections with your peers, Bradley found himself wondering what their benevolent dictator had been like as a teenager. Had people been friends with this strange man? He found that hard to believe. Had someone harbored a secret crush on him, completely unaware of the boring, grey figure he would later cut through life? Would Bradley one day find himself a colorless shape amidst a crowd that couldn’t care less about him? He really fucking hoped not.

That didn’t change the fact though, that this man, boring them all to death, had been a teenager himself once. He might’ve had big dreams, like… well honestly he couldn’t even begin to imagine what interested someone like Headmaster Wayman, but he couldn’t have dreamed of announcing a scavenger hunt to a bunch of bored kids, right?

Bradley’s existential crisis was cut short by the end of Headmaster Wayman’s announcements, and the shuffling that accompanied his peers exiting the auditorium. He glanced over at Wes, who’d slipped off into dreamland at some point during the assembly, and gently nudged him awake. “You missed a riveting performance,” he said with his usual dosage of sarcasm.

“Ss-herm?” Wesley startled awake with a strange combination of a hiss and moan. His nap-laden, blurry vision focused on Bradley’s face as he blinked with a sleepy smile. Wes brought a hand to his eyes to rub away the tiredness. “Quite contrary… I was eating fantastic barbeque in an award winning pit restaurant in Texas, which was probably waaaayy more riveting.” The students around them were starting to chatter and leave their seats, but Wesley stayed seated and leisurely stretched out in his auditorium chair. “But… what did I miss?”

“Oh, well, thanks for the invite,” Bradley said. Whatever traces of melancholy that had plagued him since this morning vanished as he watched Wes slowly but surely rejoin the real world. It was a routine he’d grown accustomed to over the last two months. “No class on Wednesday. We’re all getting into teams to do a scavenger hunt instead,” Bradley said, delivering the news with some half-hearted jazz hands, as if to say, “Can you fucking believe this place?”

“What, really?” Wesley’s eyebrows shot up with excitement. Wes loved games and competition, and a scavenger hunt sounded way more fun than going to class. Clearly his best friend was not as amused as he was. “Get hyped, B-rad. We’re totally gonna win! You, me, and Griffin —er— once we go pick him up, at least. Dream team, dude!”

Bradley grinned, made happy simply by seeing Wes’ excitement. He relished it for a moment, a part of him impressed by the way he took things in stride. “As fun as that sounds, Wayman said that teams are assigned, and I’m pretty confident the universe hates me too much to put that God-tier team together,” Bradley said.

“Oh…” Wes replied sadly, his shoulders sinking slightly. For a moment he looked like a deflating balloon a few days after the birthday party. But it wasn’t too long before he perked back up. “Well, if we aren’t on the same team, I guess I’ll have to kick your ass then, Barron.” Wes said with a grin and stood up quickly. “Either way, we gotta go fetch our dude.”

“That we do,” Bradley said, clapping his hands against his legs before standing up. The two boys had promised their third Musketeer, Griffin Pierce, that they’d be there when they finally discharged him from the medical building. For a week or two, all anyone could talk about was how he got wheeled out on some stretcher, but by now, most of the talk had subsided. Bradley, stoic as he was, could admit that it would be nice to have their friend back. It had been kinda weird without him, and maybe he could use a buffer between him and Wes. Someone to keep him from completely fucking everything up. “C’mon. We can check our teams on the way,” Bradley said, leading them into the back of the herd that was exiting the auditorium.

Wesley took a look at the teams announcement that all of the students were crowding around. It didn’t take long to find his own name, and consequently have his hopes of the dream team totally dashed. That said, this was an opportunity to make new friends, and he was competitive as hell — so they still had a shot at winning regardless of who these mystery teammates were. “Talya… that’s the stunner whose dorm is across from yours, isn’t it? Dope. Not sure who Savannah is, though.” He looked now for Bradley’s name. “Awe, man, you got Teddy and TJ, you lucky fuck!”

Bradley laughed at Wes’ description of Talya, though internally his stomach was wrapping itself into knots. “Tal’s cool. Savannah’s the one with the pink hair, kind of always looks like she’s about to run for the nearest exit? She’s chill too,” Bradley said, trying his best to ignore the pangs of jealousy. He focused his attention on the list, confirming what Wes had said about his team. Not bad, not bad. “Hate to break it to you, but I think my team’s gonna crush your team,” Bradley said, smirking.

“Oh now you're feeling big?” Wes teased and punched at his friends shoulder. “Where was that font of confidence and excitement a few minutes ago?” Having gathered all of the information they needed from the assembly, Wes headed for the doors. Once outside and en route to the medical center, Wes spun around on his heels to face Bradley. It was hard to believe that this ball of energy was just passed out cold, but that was Wesley's life — cycles of extreme on and extreme off, rinse and repeat. “OH! Have you heard about this weekend, dude?”

“Well, that was before I found out that I’d have a six foot four, man of muscle on my team,” Bradley shot back. As they stepped out into the evening, Bradley inhaled deeply, glancing over to where the last bits of sunlight were slipping away past the horizon. It was a nice night, the afternoon heat having dissipated, leaving a pleasant coolness in its place. Maybe he’d be able to convince Wes and Griffin to go out later. “What’s going on this weekend?” He asked, looking back at Wes.

“A party, that's what!” Wesley replied excitedly, flashing a stunning smile. “Like a proper high school party, not some school-sanctioned shit. San Agustin would certainly not approve.” He punctuated the sentence with a mischievous eyebrow wiggle and a pep in his step. “Pretty sure Erica and TJ are hosting, so you can probably get better deets, being teammates and all. Whadya say?” Wes looked at his friend expectantly, “Feeling like causing some trouble as my party date?”

“Yes!” Bradley said, quickly and with much more enthusiasm than usual. He hadn’t even had time to think about it before the agreement came tumbling out of his mouth. It only took a split second for him to piece together that Wes had meant date in a metaphorical sense, and not in the sense that the night could end with them making out. Because that was impossible. “I mean, yeah, yeah, it sounds fun. Maybe I can find out where they’re getting the booze from? Maybe there’s other kinds of contraband we can smuggle in,” he added, hoping to move quickly past his slip up.

Thankfully for Bradley, Wes was completely oblivious to the misunderstanding. He was just pumped for the party and the fact that his bestie was equally excited to go. Brad’s mention of further contraband also piqued his interest. “And that, my friend, is why we get along so well.” Wes said as he swung his arm over Bradley’s shoulders in a friendly gesture as they walked. “I like the way you think. Any ideas on what? And how?” The pair approached the threshold of the medical center and Wes thought twice about their conversation. “On second thought, let’s put this discussion on pause until after we get Griffin.” He leaned in closer and whispered the next part, eyeing the security camera at the entrance, Big brother’s always watching. Wes parted from Bradley’s side after that with what would be a stoner giggle, except he’d never smoked a day in his life. At least, not yet.

Bradley looked up at the security camera, fixing his gaze on the lens for a few moments, Wes’ words running in a loop through his head. “Good call,” he said, returning his eyes to the entrance. There’d be time for plotting the vandalism of their school later.

The rest of Zakya's day had gone by fairly smoothly; she'd checked off a good portion of her daily to-do list, and only had plans to squeeze in a late night workout session before officially ending her day by applying a face mask and crawling into bed. Sitting in the auditorium along with the rest of her classmates was the last thing Zakya wanted to be doing that evening, but she figured that she'd attend anyway in order to pass some time and socialize. She'd filled a seat near the very front of the room, and had been engaged in simple small talk with the girl sitting next to her when the headmaster finally approached the podium on stage and began to address the student body. Even then, Zakya was only half-listening. It wasn't until the older man mentioned something about winning a prize that she actually began to pay attention.

"Your teams are posted outside on the bulletin board," the Headmaster had said, causing Zakya to excitedly sit up in her seat. "I implore you to connect with them before Wednesday." After uttering a few more concluding remarks, the Headmaster signaled for them to leave; of course, Zakya was one of the first to hop out of her seat. She made a beeline for the exit, and once she finally reached the bulletin board, gently pushed a few people out of the way so she could get a look at who she'd been grouped with.

"Hana Jeong?" Zakya said to herself, her eyebrow furrowing in confusion as she stared at the unfamiliar name on the list. It took her a few moments to picture the young woman's face in her mind, but even then... she knew little to nothing about her, especially not enough to guess what strengths she'd bring to the table for the scavenger hunt. What if they didn't work too well together? What if she couldn't keep up and wound up costing them the special prize the Headmaster mentioned?

Shaking off her negative thoughts, Zakya glanced at the second name on the list and let out a relieved breath in response. Samuel Costigan. She didn't know too much about him either, but figured she was lucky to have him on her team. After all, she could've ended up with much worse. And so, Zakya began her walk towards the gym with a content expression on her face, her mind whirling with ideas of what the grand prize may be.

Attending the assembly was a decision that Charlie had ended up regretting rather quickly. Even if someone put a gun to his head, there was no way he would've been able to give you a summary of what happened. He had pieces, like how Halloween was coming up soon, or how breakfast was in the morning. He was spaced out for the most part, and even though he was there, he wasn't actually there. The lights were on, but nobody was home. Charlie had quickly determined that this was a waste of time, and it showed with how vacant the expression on his face was while Dr. Wayman was talking.

Finally, it seemed like the assembly was over and Charlie was free from the hell that was that auditorium and having to listen to information that was mostly irrelevant. The only thing that had piqued Charlie's interest was the supposed scavenger hunt that was set to be occurring soon. Canceled classes was something he would always welcome, combined with the fact that there was actually something to do. Maybe he could meet some people along the way and make some better friends.

Figuring he didn't have much else to do, he thought he would go take a peek at the bulletin board to see what the teams were like. There was a good chance that he was going to be placed with someone he didn't know, but having someone he was more familiar with would've been really nice. He was hoping that he'd be with Tyler or Bradley, because that would've made things infinitely better. But, as he arrived at the bulletin board, he found that neither would be the case. Billie Jean and Erica, huh? Charlie thought to himself.

Turning around and walking away, Charlie was suddenly filled with the urge to start singing the aptly titled Michael Jackson song as he made his way back to his dorm. He wasn't familiar with either of them, but he had a slight feeling that it wasn't going to be the case after the scavenger hunt. "Billie Jean... is not my lover... she's just a girl..."

(FC: Diggy Simmons; Dialogue: #751B27)

Unlike a good portion of his classmates (those who'd actually shown up), Dwayne had been paying close attention to what the Headmaster had been saying during the assembly. He sat as close as he could to the exit, his legs crossed at the knee and his hands neatly folded in his lap. At the mention of Halloween being the following week, Dwayne couldn't help but briefly think about what his costume would be... that is, if he even decided to dress up. Then came the news of some lame scavenger hunt with the guarantee of a grand prize for the winning group. Judging by their reactions, Dwayne could tell that this enlivened some of his peers. He, on the other hand, remained indifferent. Maybe if he finally got to see who he'd been grouped with it'd stir up some excitement... right?

Wrong. Dwayne let out a deep breath and slouched his shoulders as he took a look at the list on the bulletin board. Leo Brooks and Francesca Allensworth. "Great." Now, don't get him wrong; Dwayne didn't have anything against the two he'd been partnered with. Frankie was a fairly nice girl when she wasn't trying to get him into bed with her. And Dwayne hadn't really spoken with Leo enough to form a solid opinion on the guy, but deemed him decent enough since he was also friends with Soleil. But part of him couldn't help but have a sneaking suspicion, based on rumors alone, that he'd be the awkward third wheel in their situation.

After scanning the rest of the list out of pure curiosity, Dwayne tucked his hands back into his pockets and began to stroll away, heading straight for his bedroom to finish up some reading. He figured he'd have more than enough time the next day to track down Leo and Frankie, even though he wasn't really looking forward to it.

Tyler Jane had arrived at the assembly early, always notorious for being on time and prompt. She sat towards the back of the auditorium, letting her long legs extend onto the seat in front of her and was inadvertently stretching her somewhat sore limbs. As a dancer, she was always finding ways to soothe her overused calves and quads, which is why she found herself more often than not conditioning muscles during class, lectures, and honestly whenever she got the chance.

While she half-listened to Headmaster Wayman ramble on about meal times, she scrolled through the school’s social channels and couldn’t help but chuckle to herself at some of the things her peers were saying. Some mocked their “fearless leader”, poking fun at his choice of outfit or his weird stance at the microphone, and others just complained about how stupid this whole thing was. High schoolers were ruthless, and it made Tyler Jane feel slightly bad for the man. He was trying his best and obviously wasn’t the best public speaker by nature, so feeling guilty, she put down her phone and decided to pay attention for his sake. As she tuned back in, Wayman started talking about the holiday next week, one she had completely forgotten about until he brought it up: Halloween.

As he began to describe how the campus would be celebrating, a distant memory seemed to pull itself to the surface of the redhead’s consciousness and demand her attention. It felt like it was being dragged by weights, held back with resistance for a reason she couldn’t explain. But, nonetheless, it was there. A scene began to unfold inside her mind and it was as if she was just a passive observer.

Tyler Jane found herself in an empty house. A few dim lights revealed an inviting living room, but no one was home except for a young girl who couldn’t have been more than 11 years old. The girl had propped herself in front of a large window facing a suburban street, her long auburn hair having been haphazardly braided, assumedly done on her own. Tyler Jane couldn’t make out her face- it was blurred and abstract- but she knew that it was supposed to be some faraway version of herself. She was a bystander in her own narrative.

Out the window, autumn leaves were piled on the ground, the trees growing bare as the seasons changed. Children paraded down the sidewalks with their parents in tow, dressed up and carrying baskets of goodies and treats. They were laughing and swinging their arms excitedly, clearly elated and enjoying the moment. And yet, the young girl found herself alone, and somehow, Tyler had a feeling that this was the case every year.

Violently snapping out of her daydream, Tyler Jane’s legs slid off the chair and smacked down onto the floor, her shoes echoing on the hardwood. Her eyes quickly darted to her neighbors who gave her strange looks for causing an unnecessary distraction. Returning her gaze to the front of the room, the redhead let out a breath she didn’t realize she had been holding and failed to understand where that image had come from. Was it real? Or was it just a trope the imaginative girl created in her mind in response to the mention of the holiday. Regardless of how vivid it was, or how tangible it felt, she decided to pass it off as only a story and desperately tried to focus on the assembly instead.

Within minutes, Headmaster Wayman had explained the scavenger hunt and dismissed the students to find out their teams on the bulletin boards outside the auditorium. The redhead quickly gathered her belongings and made a beeline for the exit, wanting nothing more than to get out of there and go back to her room.

After arriving at the lists, she scanned for her name and found it alongside the likes of Theodore Wallstrom and Bradley Barron. She didn’t know Theo well, but she had conversed with him once or twice in passing and had yet to really form an opinion about him. On the flipside, she was incredibly fond of Bradley and was excited that she and him got randomly paired together. The two often spent nights in the courtyard chatting and they just clicked well. He was a good friend and surely in a team challenge they’d excel together… or so she hoped.

Now that the unknown of her team had been solved, she continued on her direct path back to the dorm. She’d find the two of them later to chat, but for now, she needed to be on her own. Why was she so startled by that daydream? She couldn’t put her finger on where it had come from and why it was so haunting. Shaking off the anxious feelings that were currently making themselves apparent, the redhead disappeared towards the residence hall.

As she sat at the back of the auditorium, surveying the scene as best she could while keeping her back to the wall as much as possible, Savannah was very on-guard at the moment. She was still edgy from the interactions with her friends from earlier. It's why she sat far away from Tyler Jane for this assembly. As much as she wanted to try and bury the hatchet a bit and talk about just what went down between the two of them in front of Nicholas, it wasn't the time. Not with so many things swirling in her head at the moment.

History was laughable. Savannah tried to take notes, but she had no interest in learning about the Louisiana Purchase. Old white men selling tracts of land that they stole from the Native Americans. No thank you. Instead, she was trying to figure out just how this party on the weekend was going to work and just how she was going to make the Liquoriana Purchase. First point, never call alcohol that ever.

So I know I'm going have Erica helping with the pickup, but the two of us aren't going to be able to walk all the way from this liquor store and back with enough booze for the entire first floor! I have to assume we're going to need a lot in order to make sure all our bases are covered. How are we going to get it back here without a car or anything? Do either of us even know how to drive a car? I could probably fake it if it was an automatic, I've seen enough people drive that I can do that, but manual I'm probably screwed. That's if we can even find a vehicle. With keys! And how am I paying for all this alcohol? I know Mom and Dad had to pull some strings to get me in here and can afford it, but I can't exactly call them up and be all 'Can I have some money for various amounts of booze?' What are we going to do about that? If I put it on my credit card, I'll be A) out of money for music and clothes orders, and B) broadcasting to my parents that I'm doing this! Plus the credit card isn't in Kelsey Marston's name! Ugh! This is too much! Too much stepping outside the lines! I'm going to totally get caught!

By the time she got to P.E. with Erica, her mind was almost frazzled. There weren't many opportunities to talk to one of her besties either. Dodgeball day saw them put on opposite teams for the most part, and while Savannah loved dodgeball since she was almost an impossible out with her ability to jump and gracefully dip to avoid most balls thrown her way, it was clear her mind wasn't in it on this occasion and she had a couple instances where she was picked off very quickly. More frustrations. By the time she had got back to her room, cleaned up a bit, and spent some prime time staring at the ceiling, the assembly rolled around.

So here Savannah sat. By herself. Without her usual pack of friends and allies. Left to ponder the darkened thoughts and dreadful scenarios that the procurement of potent potables was going to entail. She barely listened to the headmaster as she sat in her seat, hand gripping her chin as Savvy did her best to keep from just bolting then and there. Mealtimes were mentioned, which meant nothing. Savannah had her routine down pat. Halloween also got a nod, which Savannah wasn't to thrilled about. There were already enough things to be scared about without people actively trying to make her jump through the ceiling. Halloween sucked.

But then the mention of this strange scavenger hunt came up. Really? Isn't this something for like elementary school kids? Whatever. It meant no classes on Wednesday. That was a win in and of itself. But then teams were brought up, and more worries hit Sav's poor brain. Assigned teams? Shoot. Guess that means I'm probably not just with Erica and TJ. That might be fore the best though. Oh god what if I'm stuck with Leo! Or Theo! Ugh!!! Kill me if that happens. I do not need to work with those... sex-crazed animals! Theo actually wasn't as bad as Leo, but still, the aura from both of them rubbed Savannah the wrong way.

As the assembly mercifully ended, Savannah ran to the exits and spotted the aforementioned list on the bulletin board. It didn't take much to scan through everything, and it appears that the Texan had managed to dodge a few bullets. Certainly better than she dodged balls earlier today. She deftly got out of the way before other students started crowding her into the wall. She hated being crowded.

As she walked away from the scene and back towards the safety of her room, she was running over who she was forced to team up with. She was entering onto a team of almost unknown quantities, aside from rumors and hearsay. Wesley Slater, she had heard a little bit about from Bradley during their conversations. Apparently they were thick as thieves. Those two and Griffin... Shoot, Griffin! He should be getting out today! Hope he's feeling better. I'll have to text him or something. Anyway, Bradley referred to Wesley a lot. A LOT a lot. Almost made her think Bradley was a rainbow warrior or something. Wesley seemed a bit slow and apparently he was just as fond of stirring things up and running away as Bradley. But without the shame. So he's not going to be much help. If he's as all over the place as Bradley gets, he'll probably run away within the first hour or so to go climb a tree or something.

Then there was Talya Burnley. Savannah had basically no experience with the brunette, save for a couple conversations via Erica and Bradley. The Barron boy was proving quite useful today. Talya was an artist, probably one of the best ones here, if Bradley's hyperbole was to be believed. Erica had a slightly more reserved opinion, but according to her, if you knew Talya, you knew everybody at San Agustin, because she would tell you everyone's business. Whether you needed to know it or not. Talya seems like she could be a snake in the grass of this whole party plan. Better keep my mouth shut around her. Hopefully me and Erica can just text about it I guess. Still, Savannah remembered seeing her around school a couple times and there was... something about her. Something she couldn't quite place just yet. Maybe there was a common ground there that she just wasn't seeing yet. She remembered watching her walk across the campus one day and being almost hypnotized for some reason. If nothing else, this will be a chance to figure out what that's all about. I mean, that just doesn't make sense, right? A girl shouldn't be able to do that to another girl...

Thinking about her new teammates was an almost pleasant diversion for Savannah. But as she plopped back down on her bed, trying to come up with some plans for her other problems, her mind was raising again. "Screw it," she finally declared. "I'll go to the gym. Maybe that will fix me." It couldn't hurt at this rate.

Location: Auditorium

Erica arrived at the assembly later than usual, and as a result, was forced to take one of the undesired seats in the front row. Headmaster Wayman walked out, just as she took a seat next to a boy from her calculus class, Derek. Unlike many of her classmates, Erica devoted her full attention to Headmaster Wayman’s announcements, despite his clear discomfort in his role. She had a sneaking suspicion that Wayman didn’t like kids enough to be a headmaster, but that didn’t make what he had to say any less important.

Talk of Halloween brought Erica’s mind to costumes, costumes that she was realizing might be more difficult than she’d anticipated. She had some cash in her wallet that her parents had sent her with, but she was pretty sure most of it would have to go towards supplying the party on Friday. Assuming she could even sneak off of campus again and find a costume store, she’d be broke. Maybe TJ and Sav would be down to make some costumes, assuming they don’t kill each other of Nicholas Fucking Gray.

Wayman’s announcement of the scavenger hunt sent a ripple of whispers through the crowd. Erica liked a good competition, and a prize other than the satisfaction of being a winner wouldn’t hurt. She found herself actually a little bit excited.

That is, until she saw the teams.

“You have got to be fucking kidding me,” Erica said, as her eyes reread the column containing her, Charles Mallet, and Billie Jean Gray’s names. She grit her teeth, and those around her quickly moved out of her way, her anger palpable as she tore her way back through the crowd. If people didn’t move out of her way, that was their problem, not hers. As she walked alone back to the dorms, she whipped her phone out and hammered out a text in the groupchat she had with TJ and Sav, which had been more inactive than usual since breakfast this morning. Whatever, she didn’t care about Nick and right now, she wanted to talk shit about his sister.

To: Bad Girls Club
guess who landed the evil twin on her team? either of you got some cyanide?

She sighed. This party would be well deserved. If she made it that long.

At the end, short tid bits with @smarty0114 & @GhostMami

Resting his hand on the back of his neck, Griffin Pierce, with eyes closed, tried to recall the sensation he felt moments before he passed out in the main office. He remembered seeing a vacant room, obscured by darkness. There was no one around and yet he was there... for a reason. Was it truly because he was on the verge of passing out? His diagnosis was a severe case of the common flu and dehydration. Dehydration. He was an athlete and if he was indeed dehydrated, that would be considered a rookie's mistake. Griffin was not a rookie.

Never in his life did he think he'd get this sick, where the school physician decreed he had to be cooped up in this prison cell for two whole weeks. For the first week, he was in a vegetative state. They had him on some strong meds, deeming it as their way of providing him a swift recovery. He couldn't even recall if he had visitors that week because he was practically comatose, aware but not really. Part of him saw the nurses and the doc talking, and the other part of him was subconsciously stuck in a loop of his last healthy day at San Agustin.

He did have a theory that his mood stabilizers conflicted with the gross liquid relief meds. While he wanted to believe they would take him off of them for these two weeks, because most medical practitioners would, it seemed they were willing to risk it, so he wouldn't add another incident to his report. From what he's told, he had a manic episode the first week of attending San Agustin, which resulted in him harming himself and a classmate, solely because someone stole his pills. The odd thing about that? Griffin had no recollection of it whatsoever and it seemed to have been long forgotten because none of his peers have brought it up in conversation.

Puzzled at his own actions, trying to search through the fog, Griffin opened his eyes to see the campus grounds, through a tall window, peering in between bleak curtains. Why would he intentionally go to the teachers' wing during dinner hours? Nothing was adding up. No matter how much time he spent this second week in the Health Center thinking about it, which he felt like he should've been released the moment they lightened up on the drugs, he could not, for the life of him, connect the dots.

Closing the curtains, he turned to survey the room that was devoid of beauty. The only pinch of color was what his friends left on his temporary nightstand, like the blanket flowers put in a jar by Sol, crayons gifted by Wes, and a small picture of cartoon s'mores painted by Bradley (S'mores was Griffin's guilty pleasure). All with the same goal which was to add some life to this sparse, functional, and overall dreary room. Life meaning color.

Smiling to himself, he went to the bed, in which he made sure was wrinkle free, nice, and tight, and grabbed his jacket that Sol specifically picked out for him. Well, she chose his outfit, since she was the only person he would trust in his room, without his supervision. After putting his coat on, he brushed his fingers through his hair to make sure it went in the direction he preferred, his left side. As he did so, he absentmindedly imagined himself from his time here; exercising in all areas of the room, playing solitary on the bed, reading Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky on the window sill, listening to Tchaikovsky as he sped through his calculus homework from last week, this week, and the next, and just his overall boredom and rampant thoughts of not only the outside world, but how he ended up in this position.

Being caged was an understatement. The little freedom he was given was in the form of nice long walks in the hallways that had as much personality as a highway, with different amounts of traffic depending on the time of day. When he did go for his walks, he counted security cameras, which was surprisingly more than he'd imagine a school health center having. He eventually convinced himself, or tried to at least, that it was because they had a room full of drugs that his peers would try to get their hands on.

Seemed logical enough. It wasn't a pressing matter for him to overthink, not yet at least. He'd file his knowledge of the layout of this place for later use, if it was ever needed. As far as he could tell, the staff at this place were exceedingly paranoid and took cautious steps to provide their students the ideal experience, which felt more controlled than not.

Being stuck in here was driving him mad, angry even, because he was allowing himself to fill his head with all kinds of rubbish because he was BORED. If he continued to do so, he would have a harder time to think about the things that mattered. His mind was a hard drive and it only made sense to put useful information in it, but here he was counting cameras and ceiling tiles for crying out loud.

Grumbling inaudible profanities and frustrations, he grabbed the crayon box and small painting, pocketing it in the inside of his jacket. Once he made sure he had all his things in his jacket, in his gray JanSport backpack (with his schoolwork) that was now on his back, and in his navy blue string bag (with his dirty clothes and his hygiene products) that was now hanging off his right shoulder, Griffin grabbed the jar housing the vibrant flowers, native to hot and dry climates. Finally, he could get the hell out of this place and breathe.

Leaving the room behind, to hopefully never return to, Griff glided down the hall one last time. His boots silently, yet prominently, stepped on the linoleum floor - influenced by one single objective: going outside. When he neared the elevator, he looked at the camera at the top left corner, through his peripheral vision. Curious, really. This was nothing new to him. The fact that they were being watched. If the school was as suspicious as he believed them to be, they most definitely had cameras discreetly hidden in walls.

Though... this could be his quarantine mind getting far too imaginative. Still, he would keep his guard up until proven otherwise. His gut feeling never betrayed him and he knew since day 1 something was off. What exactly? He didn't know just yet and that was frustrating.

In the elevator, he gingerly circled his neck around, feeling it crack with every turn. This felt nice. Being able to freely roam and fly. He was almost there. Just before the elevator door opened, he made sure to secure the jar in his left hand, just in case. Soon enough, the lobby was revealed and he was greeted by two faces that never failed to make him feel nostalgic, simply by them existing.

Wesley Slater and Bradley Barron.

He didn't understand how they got so close, in such a short amount of time. Wesley did hang out with the jocks, so that was a good start. However, in comparison to them all, he was small and perhaps that’s why Griffin felt more inclined to befriend him. Wes didn’t have his head up his ass like Leo did and was actively trying to get faster, stronger, and better. B-rad, on the other hand, was simply coincidental and at first, a means for Griffin to use, like for his talent in photography. A skill he will admit he would never go out of his way to learn. His aloof personality was a nice way to calm all the anxiety Griffin held up on the inside, which he hid behind all that coolness he displayed. Plus, Bradley wasn’t hard to get along with.

They just... worked.

Here he was with great friends that provided him a sense of normality in a school that felt everything BUT normal. His blue gaze lit up and the corners of his lips rose in such a charming yet understated way. Effortlessly casual. Cool and collected. Simply smooth and one-of-a-kind. Griffin's smile.

"Sayōnara, hell!" he breezily exclaimed.

Exiting the elevator, he strode to his friends, waiting in the lounge area, and briskly added, "Sup guys," before eagerly inquiring, "What'd I miss?"

"Shit, dude, a lot. But also kind of nothing at the same time." Wesley greeted his friend with a grin and went in for a hug, no permission asked. It'd been too long and Wesley liked to show affection to those he feels close to. “How you feeling, man?"

Affection, while welcomed, was something Griffin had a hard time getting used to. Whenever his friends, especially Wes, went in for a hug, he found himself awkwardly tensing up, but following his lead and returning the embrace. It was as if this was such a foreign concept to him, to be given hugs so freely, without any thought. Wes just did it and that was endearing. Although he felt uncomfortable, he did enjoy the warmth and kindness, and simply smiled while patting his friend's back, "I'm feeling a little stir crazy. Need to get out tonight, I think." Turning his attention to Bradley, a smirk gracing his face, Griffin gestured for him with his patting hand to come join them, making sure his other hand holding the flowers didn't tilt over, "You should get in this. Y'know, for old time's sake."

Bradley's grin faltered ever so slightly. Physical contact was hardly his forte, physical contact with the boy he very much liked was a special kind of torture. Subtly as possible, he fixed his expression, opting for an amused smirk. "We've known each other for two months, what the hell is old time's sake?" Nevertheless, he walked over, arms wrapping around his two friends, as they formed the sort of blob typical of a group hug.

"Oh, don't be such a grump. Our friend missed us, B-rad!" Wesley released his bros from the group hug and smiled wide. "Anyway, back to the topic at hand, which is what you missed while you were... incapacitated?" Wes looked to Griffin with an inquisitive look. This school was so fucking weird. "What you missed was a horribly boring assembly that I fell asleep during, but wonderful Brad here filled me in, angel that he is. There's gonna be a scavenger hunt on Wednesday, with assigned teams, unfortunately. But MORE importantly, there is another... event upcoming. We'll talk about that later." He quickly glanced towards the security camera and hoped that his ridiculously perceptive friend got the message.

Yes, Griffin got the message. It didn't take his impeccable perception skills to understand his friend. The expressive tone and animate eye gestures were blatantly obvious and not subtle at all. All you needed was common sense (at least in his opinion) and you could understand Wesley Slater. He nodded to the assembly comment, naturally assuming he wasn't participating since it would be relatively last minute to slip him in the roster. That was fine by him - he could use this time to watch his peers, size them up, and judge them accordingly. Focusing on the 'more' important event, Griffin chuckled, "Okay, sounds good. Now." He adjusted the string bag on his shoulder and looked at the receptionist lady, who seemed to be gushing at the display of intimacy, "As much as I love this bromance thing we got going on in here." He purposely met eyes with Brad, before matter-of-factly suggesting, "Let's bounce. I'm over this place. I want to cause some mayhem. Whaddya say?"

Bradley, subtlety be damned, couldn't help but blush. He stepped away from the other two boys, falling into line on one side of Griff. "Mayhem it is," he said, plastering on a grin and gesturing for the door. Outside, one thing certainly awaited them.

Dr. Hagerty’s watch read 12:00PM exactly, indicating that the scavenger hunt would commence momentarily. He stood in front of the crowd of students that had formed beside the cafeteria wearing a casual shirt and pair of khakis, his brown hair combed over with a few strands falling into his eyes. The scientist was a little more laidback than his counterpart, and was also a bit younger, which made him more approachable to the teens. For that reason among others, they had named him the Dean of Students, a position slightly below Headmaster Wayman, to ensure he had close proximity and direct line of contact with the test subjects. He oversaw their curriculum, special events, campus “activities” as well as student advising, where the test subjects had one on one meetings with himself as well as other staff members to discuss their “academic progress”. Not only was this a way to ask the subjects questions in a comfortable and unassuming environment, but it was also a workaround to keep tabs on them both mentally and emotionally and contain any issues before things got out of hand.

In terms of incidents, they were doing quite well with mitigating threats to the experiment and nipping things in the bud before other test subjects had the chance to catch on. A few weeks back, a student had an outburst which threatened their credibility, but they were able to sedate him before anyone could notice and understand what had truly happened. It was unfortunate that their technology didn’t allow for total memory loss, as no amount of science could truly understand and predict the outcomes of the complex human mind, so they did their best to supplement where assistance was needed.

Unfortunately, yesterday there had been another occurrence when one of the test subjects, Subject #4, had questioned the staff’s motives and legitimacy. In order to ensure that no other students would follow suit, they moved her back to the lab for reconditioning, disguised as an allergic reaction. Luckily, Subject #50 (known to his peers as Griffin) had just been released from his quarantine and was simply put in her place for the scavenger hunt. Everyone seemed to buy it, and life went on. No harm, no foul.

Dr. Hagerty tapped the microphone that was linked to an outdoor speaker system and began to talk to the crowd of students, his cheery voice and infectious energy ricocheting off the buildings. “Happy Wednesday everyone! It’s scavenger hunt day and I hope you are all as excited as we are. Now, the staff on campus have worked very hard to put this together for you all, so I ask that you give them the respect they deserve and put your best foot forward.” He stated, motioning around to their teachers who were merely observing. Dr. Hagerty hoped they would put in maximum effort; if they were more invested in the team exercise, the better outcome there’d be for research.

“To start, you will be given a clue with a location. When you get to that place, you will be asked to perform a challenge, where upon successful completion a staff member will give you your next location clue. The cycle will continue until you visit all 10 locations and accomplish all 10 tasks, and your last clue will lead you back here. The first team to finish will win a prize, which will be announced at the end of the hunt. Understood?” Dr. Hagerty waited until some students gave lackluster nods and positive responses before continuing. He motioned to his assistant, who began handing out slips of paper to the teams. After he’d seen that all of the groups had a slip of paper, he spoke once more.

“Alright everyone, here we go.” Dr. Hagerty let a smirk play on his lips, pausing for dramatic effect. This was going to be good.

“On your marks… get set… go!”

It's scavenger hunt day! You'll work with your team (as best as you can) to complete all of the challenges and hopefully win. The staff seem to be acting more excited than the students, but that's normal...right?
