My team in Y is what my character's team is going to be slightly based off of. Gardevoir, Lucario, Delphox, Skitty, and Florges. The last spot switches a lot. Haven't found a sixth I really like. Will probably will it with Mewtwo when I get to him. I only have 5 badges lol.

I did forget to mention there's no meed for picking moves as our Pokemon can use any move available to the species.

My team would be too OP. I think. I mean, come on. The End Cult couldn't handle six Smoochum's. :D

I've used Desmond a lot in the past, and his team has changed quite a bit. Usually depends on the region the RP is in, but this is what I consider his 'canon' team. I've been needing more practice battling with Magcargo, so I'm glad this RP came up so I can try a few techniques out in my writing.

Does that movepool for each Pokemon also include TMs/HMs?

Well, only if it's a move that matches the Pokemon's type. Things like cut and fly though yeah, as long as they are able.

Aah, alright. Probably better that I can't give Nidoqueen Ice Beam, it'd get too awesome. Thanks for clearing that up. c:

While I'm only on my phone giving this a slight look over after reading through the interest check, I'll more than likely get around to making a character sheet for this, after all, how often do you see promising Pokemon RPs these days?

Now I would like to ask a question or two regarding the Elite Four and these champions and what not.

Firstly, is there any rule against being a member of a region's (assuming each region still has one) Elite Four? I know that most likely sounds like a power grab, but I have a couple of ideas forming in my head for that specific scenario.

If the Elite Four option is a no go, just how "experienced" or "renowned" are the player characters supposed to be, as I'm sure nobody's being an eleven year old who just got their first Bulbausaur. What do you mean people didn't choose Bulbausaur? Lies!

Lastly nobody's allowed to be from Hoenn but me. Kidding, of course.

Or am I?

Now that I think about it, I actually was wondering if megas would play any part of this at all? I'll jump through every freakin hoop and play a perfect game of bowling if it means being able to mega evolve Mawile.

Mega evolutions can be used as much as we want. In fact with that particular mechanic I kept meaning to bring up, we'll be making our own few rules on that. Firstly I think we should stick to Pokemon who have known Mega evolutions, unless you can get a good reference for whatever Pokemon you want. Not that it can happen, like what it would look like. We're also free to mega evolve both active Pokemon at once.

also psychics... Love psychics and will be playing one lol xD as such they are the supreme power and can do whatever they want and have anything they wan-... Er, I mean they can be psychic. Picking things up and talking telepathically. Stuff...

Ou and missed Sloth's post. I already said that we will be sticking to OCs for this RP ( i don't mean that in a harsh 'you should have read that' way) so no Elite Four. As for our characters, as the character sheet says they are veteran trainer and 18+ only. They aren't quite champion level, but that could very well be a lack of drive to challenge the League.

Also, Charmander ftw. Though Torchic is still best.

I didn't intend to play a canon Elite Four, in fact I was unaware we were keeping the canon league champions and Elite Four and what not, my apologies.

Lack of drive? That line is almost calling out for me to make the epitome of a lazy Pokemon trainer with a lazy Pokemon team.

Snorlax, Slaking, Slowbro/King, So on, so forth. Now I'm tempted to use the magic of google just to make this gimmick trainer a thing.

Haha, I think there should be some (but not a huge amount) of freedom with what pokemon types can do. After all, the show takes liberties. But if we let everyone run around with everything, there may be psychics running around godmoding everything, and you wouldn't be able to hurt my steel-types at all because of their totally rad defense xD

Good news about that mega rule. Mega Mawile is criminally adorable. Although that means that Raddum and I both have two potential megas and Crimson Flame has none D: I guess that's where creativity (and not making megas way overpowered) comes in.

I'm not going to use Megas, as I find them absolutely useless in an RP. It'd make no sense for Desmond to even know about Mega Evolution anyways, so yeah. :P

Mega Ampharos is fabulous, though.

Well mega is more of just a buff if you ask me. Do some more damage and take some more hits, and look awesome.

As for abilities, yeah have fun within the known boundaries. For example, I'm going to be using my Lucarios more like Lucario from Smash Brothers xD like the OP says, League Rules are out of the way so the Pokemon don't have to use moves like a JRPG. Want your Pokemon to go into a relentless rampage at the sound of your trainer screaming in fear? Go for it.

Giving your Pokemon excessive power is okay temporarily, if you find the right time and reason for it. In other words, make a good story out of it. That's what we're here for! That being said... My Pokkemon Team isn't very shiny beyond the Pokemon names, but I think I may have overdone my history.

One of my favorite Pokemon to battle with in an RP is Beldum. He's a good sturdy Pokemon that can be used in a creative manner to take down opponents. Turn-based combat would be rather dull, as limiting Pokemon to only their moves is just people not wanting to allow extra creativity in combat. I could never get into a Pokemon RP like that, simply because I'd get bored, and probably lose interest. xDD

I never liked any sort of ability that truly gives me an edge over my opponents, in PvP or PvE. And honestly some of the Mega designs are outright terrible, like Heracross. I can't get over how Mega Heracross looks, it's just... Dumb. xD

By chance are any of the Professors coming to do any research? If Desmond was to meet Professor Rowan, he could learn about Mega Evolution that way. I'm certain that after what happened in Kalos with Pokemon Mega Evolving, he dove into studying it. I always like that Rowan focused on Evolution. Pretty neat, imo, to have so much interest in just one aspect of Pokemon.

Name: Bell Tanos

Age: 21

Region of Origin: Kalos

Character Reference:

Personality: As a psychic Bell seems rather quiet and thoughtful. The reason for this however is most often that she is communicating through a form of her psychic ability. She rarely speaks to other people in such a way, rather preferring to use the method for her Pokemon which are also paychic and don't have trouble communicating back. It's her own way of being closer to them as friends rather than pets.

She tends to stare off into space a lot and can seem rather distant most of the time. She doesn't talk much, and even when she does she's pretty quiet. Beyond all that, her quiet life has left her as a very naive and innocent type of girl, not understanding the troubles of the world. She has trouble understanding other's troubles as well as their desires such as greed and the like. Living the way she did, she never really left her childhood behind.

Brief History: Bell was born into the home of a rich family. She was spoiled with anything she could ever want, but managed to not go rotten. Her greatest desire was to have friends. Her parents hiwever, didn't want her leaving the house. Their response to her wishes came in the for. Of two newly born Pokemon. For her birthday, she received not one, but two Riolus. It was in their nature to act a certain age, and it matched perfectly with Bell's own age.

As time went on Bell grew older and the Riolu brothers stayed the same. Bell started to show interest in pretending to be a mother, wanting dolls and all kinds of toys to play with. The Riolu brothers weren't exactly fond of playing dolls with Bell though. One day, Bell found a picture book of the region's Pokemon, and told her father what she wanted. As if with nothing but a wave of his hand, her father came home one day with a Ralts.

Bell babied the Ralts, giving the Riolu brothers a break from her more 'girly' desires such as playing with dolls... And the dressup... Ralts of course was no ordinary baby doll of course. She was all too happy to be pampered and treated like one, but she was still a Pokemon. Soon enough, Bell discovered Ralt's paychic abilities.

The two became closer and her parents soon found their daughter to have potential as a psychic herself. Her father was very proud, and her mother very worried. She would have to keep sharp things out of site, rather than out of reach now. Nonetheless, the parents encouraged their little girl to keep practicing, but only with the Riolu brothers around so she would be safe.

The brothers assumed their new role as Bell's guardians, and evolved at the same time becoming the Lucario brothers, big brothers to Bell.

The time came however when Bell's interests once again changed. She did not forget about her friends of course, but more than anything in the world... She wanted a puppy. Her parents weren't about to get he a Furfrou though, and instead her father brought home an even better surprise. Her very own Fennekin.

She was as happy as one little girl could be, and this lasted for years. The only thing that changed by the time she was twelve years old was her desire for a puppy changed to a cat. Many feline races of Pokemon were out there, but her father once again came through in finding her the perfect companion. The hold in the poor little girl's heart was soon filled with the love of an Espeon.

At the age of twelve Bell wandered off one day. She didn't know where she was going, and nobody else did, nor did they know she was even going anywhere. She wandered across the pasture of her family's ranch, seeing all the Pokemon running free. Then, she went into the forest on the other side. She walked for hours, and only when she had decided it was time to go home did she realize it was far too late. Not only was the sun going down, but she had absolutely no idea where she was.

Bell frantically tried to find her way out of the forest, but she kept going in circles and ending up in the same place. She fell to her knees and started to cry, crying for someone to save her. She cried for her parents, for her Kirlia who had recently evolved from Ralts. Most of all she cried for the Lucario brothers to help her. But nobody came. She was all alone in a dark forest, wind blowing causing the trees to creak and moan. The time came when she couldn't see anymore, her tears and the darkness blinding her. She cried herself straight to sleep, but the last thing she remembered was soft fur catching her and stopping her fall. But she was too tired to see who was there.

Bell awoke the next morning to a soft bed. She felt warm, but also felt the wind blowing. She cleared her eyes and stretched and yawned before bothering to look around. Finally though, she realized that wasn't a bed she was lying on... It was a Pokemon. A white Pokemon with a tail that reminded her of a Crobat's wings, and a strange horn on the side of its head.

At first she was afraid, but the Pokemon helped her find her way home where the police were searching everywhere along with all of Bell's friends. She arrived safely, and in the care if a new friend that would be with her for the rest of her life. Absol, her final Pokemon.

Bell grew safely, her life a sheltered one but full of fun with her friends. Her Pokemon grew as well. Kirlia evolved into Gardevoir and filled a sort of nanny role when her parents were away. Fennekin evolved into Braixen and took on the role of the mischievous younger sister for a time before meeting her final evolution as Delphox.

Lily lived a happy life, even if it wasn't as exciting as most children would grow up. It was quiet for the most part, but she had her friends. They were never just friends though. From the first day she met them, each and every Pokemon became a part of her family that she would love just as she loved the father who gave them to her, and the mother that brought her into the world so she could have had the chance to meet them in the first place.

Pokemon Team:

Gardevoir

Delphox

Absol

Espeon

Crap. I just remembered I need to write up a small reference sheet for the NPC trainers coming with Desmond. Just to make sure I don't forget anything. o.o

Some of them, like Mawile, Ampharos, Kangaskhan, Pinsir, Charizard and Absols Mega evolutions made them Pokemon better. (Though some of them could have been proper evolutions.) Then they give Megas to things like Garchomp, Tyranitar, and Gengar that were already good, and just make them OP. :/

There are lots of other things that would kill for a Mega Evolution. Like Wigglytuff. xD

Or Kingler.

Or Politoed.

... Yes. I want Mega Politoed. That'd be freaking AMAZING. Can't deny that.
Aaaghh! N, I hate you!

I started a VoltWhite Nuzlocke today, and N killed my Panpour with his Zorua in front of the second Gym. What an asshole.

I had to go back to Striaton City and fish for another Water Type, and I ended up with Staryu. :s
