Saw your avatar and I want to create a B-Wing pilot now >.<
Fixed. Thanks for making me not double posting, but B-Wings don't exist yet.
@Heat The physical description of a 'few centimetres below six feet' annoys me. You can't mix measurement systems like that! Who do you think you are? Other than that
Are his only skills those with a blade? Why does he speak in broken basic? Unlike most other Trandoshans he would have spent most of his life learning and speaking basic. What happened to the recruiter? Need a tiny little bit more beef in that history. I don't really feel like I know the character, remember the history is how I learn how well you fit with the RP. Also how did he escape the temple? You put him at the temple, how does he get away.
My only question is, can I assume he has the ability to cloak himself (make himself invisible) with the Force? It's kind of hinted at a couple of times in the sheet and I'd like to ask before approval. Other than that so far it's simple, but it makes the point well and I like it.
Age: 17 Species: Human Physical Appearance: Ahsurah is a firm, sturdy teen. Muscles dense with training but lean from a proper diet. His dark eyes and likewise dark hair contrast against his pale skin. He stands at an above average height of five-feet-ten-inches and with his build he makes a daunting figure. Due to Order 66 and the current situation the Jedi have been forced into; he carries terrible but stable burns on his left side.
Ahsurah's lightsaber has a dual-phase function and carries a blue blade with a feral ignition.
Skills |
Form V practitioner and Form IV adept. Due to his youth he prided himself on being capable of using the Force. Towards Order 66 he was learning that he was lacking in practical combat strength and decided to study Form V.
He once prided himself on being diplomatic. Unfortunately, his recent scars has shattered that pride.
Nature was always apart of Ahsurah's core upbringing. He was drawn to the outside and the sky, and the wind, and animals. He become quite intuitive, even without the Force's assistance.
An adept at hand-to-hand, he wields an rare martial form that focuses on subduing and redirecting one's physical onslaught.
A competent pilot. He can drive most transportation without trouble.
Force Abilities |
Basic Jedi abilities came quickly to Ahsurah, a natural at controlling the Force and its mysteries. Manipulation of objects, enhancement of physical abilities are near Jedi Knight levels, though he's technically a Padawan.
Ahsurah was widely known for picking random abilities or tricks that tickled his fancy. Psychometry was one them. This allowed him to gleam traces of information from objects.
Force Empathy was an intentional ability learned but one he had an intense connection with. With this skill he sought to understand himself and those around him better.
In consequence, during a frustrating session with his Force Empathy, Ahsurah forced himself onto a well-guarded volunteer; learning Mind Probe in the process.
Precognition/Battle Precognition was a technique recommended to him by Master Yoda due to his hesitation during combat. He had to work hard in order to make the ability useful but got it down within the spend of two years. He is still mostly a practitioner but is delving into the realm of Adept.
Weaknesses:
A fear of death has curdled his current standing in outstanding or outlandish combat. Any opponent(s) he feels could best him; he prefers the option of running away.
Due to his injuries, Ahsurah has a stifling amount of conflict within him. He has pride in being a Jedi but his failures contest his confidence at every chance. He once studied the art of diplomacy but has since given up on it due to his disfigurement. Some might call this survivor's guilt.
Ahsurah takes to lightsaber combat naturally, however, he leans too much on the Force hoping to use what makes him 'Unique' to overcome all obstacles. He has yet to steady and balance his mind. His pride, mixed with his fear, has created a man who leans into logic and circumstance far too much.
Character History: At the age of three, Ahsurah was taken from Alderaan to the Jedi Grand Temple on Coruscant by a Jedi Seeker. Somewhat of a quiet child, really just a natural observer, Ahsurah went through his Jedi tutelage largely nominal. He didn't show exceptional skill in any one area for several years; however, Master Yoda often peered into him with a knowing smirk. Though annoyed at Ahsurah's lack of duty, if one could say that of the Grand Master, Yoda, when it permitted would defend the airy boy against other 'more worried' Jedi Knights and Masters.
At the age of seven, Ahsurah was permitted to take the Initiate Trials. By this time, Yoda's solitary belief in him and quiet confidence had given him some drive. This showed his affinity with nature and subsequently the flow of the Living Force. He often spoke of 'Ghosts' visiting him and departing life-knowledge to him; which kept him just above water when it came to the rigid expectations of the Jedi Temple. The Initiate Trials or Jedi Tournaments as the Younglings called them were exemplary. They were tougher than he had ever imagined they'd be but squeezed through on sheer force of will believe it or not. He hadn't been clever or lucky but had pushed through and survived.
Ahsurah wouldn't become a Padawan for another four years. By this time he had begun taking his training more seriously; he was thankful for Yoda's patience with him and felt exceptionally close to the Grand Master. Whether the feelings were likewise would never be known. Eventually a goofy Jedi Knight named Cado Fadi chose him as her Padawan. The two clicked on a weird, preternatural level. They bounced off each other more like mother and son, than teacher and student.
They went on many excursions. Cado Fadi, a native of Naboo use to promote the importance of the Jedi Diplomats; especially when Ahsurah would start idolizing the heroes, Anakin and Obi-Wan, who quelled many wars on the battlefront in his later years. But steadfast in her thinking, Cado would often say that the Diplomats were even more important than the war heroes. Eventually, Ahsurah would start believing it. Though they often had to quell skirmishes with more bloodshed; typically they were capable of stopping wars before they even started which was pretty awesome in Ahsurah's opinion.
However, on his seventeenth year of life, Cado Fadi lost her arm stopping a growing war on a primitive planet. He flew her back to the Grand Jedi Temple on Coruscant to save her the next day...
Order 66: Weeks had past since their arrival on Coruscant and Cado Fadi, been fitted with a new arm, had refused to regain consciousness. Ahsurah visited her for hours on end, talking to her, and hoping his presence would wake her though that was just a pipe dream. On the night of Order 66, Ahsurah had been visiting Cado; whom rested peaceful on a linen-laid bed. He read to her from his journal, now nearing their adventure on the ocean-world of Seakass. When alarms rang and the attack commence, Ahsurah was panic with fear. So he hid in her medical room.
When Anakin Skywalker, accompanied by Clones stepped inside; Ahsurah made the mistake of believing him to be a Jedi still. He slid out from beneath Cadi's bed and spoke hurriedly. The typical questions were met with silence by the Clones and Anakin only strode forwards. The Force warned Ahsurah of the danger and before Anakin could down his unconscious Master, whose mind had begun to light up with small stars, he bared the frightening weight of the former Hero's lightsaber with his own.
It buckled his knees and sent him sprawling to the ground. Without a breath passing, Anakin's blade was driving towards his heart. Master Cadi must've awoke then; her yellow lightsaber in hand while she fended off, Anakin's onslaught. She held her own for a moment, though Anakin had been holding Ahsurah to the ground the entire time with overwhelming Force power. She managed to keep him and the Clone's blaster bolts from piercing them but when Anakin slid back and the Clones through thermal detonators in the room; everything became a blur.
When he returned from his short descent into darkness, his left side was horribly burned and Cadi, injured and bloodied, was again defending them from Anakin. The room was blackened by the explosion and the outer wall had been blown out, thick stone crumbling and stabbing his palms. Fear-gripped admittedly, when he should had been assisting his Master, Ahsurah was frozen. When all seemed lost and Anakin had stabbed through Cadi's retreating form, she pulled back and Force Pushed Ahsurah through the wall. His body slammed against the too small exit and push him through open air.
It was luck that he survived. No force of will this time. He had fell onto a ledge and Cadi's sacrifice and words to 'Survive!' had momentarily cleared his fear; that and finally being from under Anakin's suffocating presence. He managed to scurry away and find transport into deep space; brimming with tears, crippled with pain, and sullied by failure, Ahsurah fell into a deep, much-needed, sleep.
@SepI didn't know one could be invisible with the force. I read that Jedi can do illusions, so that might work?
One leads to the other. It's just how it read to me, possible escalation of his abilities for trickery and what not and how he can grow as a character.
Work in Progress. Still need to do the history and Order 66, but hoping I'm on the right path
Zonde Haalt
Age: 17
Species: Duros
Physical Appearance: Zonde is a stereotypical Duros, bright blue skin and solid red eyes. Approximately 1.6 metres tall, he is relatively short for his species.
Lightsaber: Cyan Blade
Skills: Fluent in Basic and Durese, also has some broken Huttese, so as to try and communicate with as many of his patients as possible. Extensive knowledge of the sciences, particularly botany and can make medicine out of the local plant life on numerous worlds, though his first hand experience of those world's is limited.
Force Abilities: While most Duros tend towards the technical and space faring industries, Zonde was always more focussed on the biological, becoming an apprentice healer. Force augmented vision can allow him to see into the infra-red spectrum, particularly useful in the diagnosis of his patients
Weaknesses: Zonde cares deeply about his patients and takes any loss personally, often falling into bouts of depression and questioning his abilities should he be unable to save them. Constantly chided by his Master for failing to take the time to develop his saber work, as opposed to researching new medical techniques, he is a below average dueller at best.
@Sep All done and ready for review. I know I made a few connections to main characters but I just wrote where the story took me. As usual, I'm open to all corrections.
Approved. One minor edit: Remember that 66 and Knightfall just happened so while he may be on the course for depression he might not be at rock bottom yet, and he likely won't even recognise that he's fallen as far yet. I'm glad he managed to find someone to take him off-world though. Good Samaritans are great.
@Odin Favorite? its my first time hearing about this. But I'am honored lmao. Wassup bro?
all good my man, i'm glad to see you're still around
<Snipped quote by Odin>
He was my Padawan once upon a time in a Roleplay long forgotten.
This Roleplay seems to have brought all the OG Star Wars guys out off the woodwork.
I am not an OG SW guy, in fact, I would say I'm barely an SW guy given that I only watched all the movies this year. So for that reason I'm choosing to go full blown idiot mode on my CS, and I want to run this by you first:
My idea is that, since I have no real "knowledge" other than the bare minimum on anything remotely Star Wars, I wanted to play a 18-20 year old Jedi padawan who is extremely bad at literally everything. It's a miracle he hasn't accidentally killed anyone yet during lightsaber practice, or what have you. He's also not super smart (so that gives me an excuse to not know certain things -- if I mess up my OOC knowledge, that just means he messes up his IC knowledge, which would be entirely in character) but the guy is just extremely lucky -- like, almost supernaturally lucky.
I'm also thinking the reason they haven't just told him to fuck off is that he has a lot of midichlorians (or whatever ol' dudes said about Anakin) and is super force sensitive (just, he is too idiotic/awful to do anything with it) so sending him out there is a big time risk.
Ideally it'd be best for everyone if he just sorta got order 66'd so that they wouldn't need to waste time and effort on him, but like I said, he's extremely lucky, so he always finds a way to just sorta get by.
Clones hold him up? Well, he made such a fool of himself during the chase scene, they can't possibly believe he's a jedi -- jedi are like super soldiers, not .. whatever this guy is -- and they just kinda let him go, thinking he's just a random moron. Just spitballing here, since that doesn't sound very realistic, but that's the sort of dumb luck I'd be banking on.
Would this work or do you suggest I just kinda try to get by with a more standard character and a healthy degree of having to double check everything 3x OOC?
@Renny look man, I actually liked the new SW movies (probably because I don't have a lot of nostalgia towards the old movies) and a lot of people told me that means I'm an idiot, so I might as well try and play one in-universe for the ultimate self-insert. It's just how things work.
@Odin If that's how you wanna go, so be it the only part I don't agree with is the how he survives Order 66. If he was with Clones then, they would know and if he was in the temple, it doesn't matter fair shootin'. If you're concerned with your IC SW Knowledge then it may actually be easier to play someone low skilled but reasonably competent. If he's too much of a fool he wouldn't have passed the trials, and if he didn't pass the initiate trials he would have joined one of the various corps of Jedi-Regects. Which is a possible route you could take.
I'm cool with him being inept but I'd rather not Jar Jar levels of inept, which is how reading that comes across. I have faith in that even with your little knowledge you could write a character that could work. If you wanna discuss more/help then feel free to PM me, or I'm sure @Renny would be willing to help.
@Yam I Am Yes you made it fancy, do I taste a hint of Wraith?
Also I'm slowly adding more notes onto the thread. It's not important stuff, really, it's just background stuff that's optional reading. Right now I'm adding encountered/recognisable NPCs to the top of the CS Tab, and in the future, I'll have a recap in the OOC of major events for new players.
Also, @Sep are we free to post as soon as the sheets get approved, or should we all wait for a first post to come out?
I'm going for a hard start on Monday, as I need time to work on what I'm going to be doing. After that you're free to let loose. Just be warned [evillaugh] I will be watching what you do, and acting appropriately.
I am your ingame A.I driving story and totally not trying to kill you and making sure you have a fun time.
