You may want to let the good folks in your interest check know you've opened up the OOC. They seemed to have missed its premier. For my interest, how do you intend to open the roleplay? Will it start with Viran recruiting new members, or will we be starting as a newly formed team? Or something else entirely?

@Chev What's the age range you're looking for? I know there Teen Titans, but are you going 13 - 19 or are you wanting something more specific?

Hey another interested person here. I read in the interest check that this will be a mostly original world, with some DC elements. I was wondering how much that will play into the roleplay. The character I'm thinking of would have a similar power set to Blue Beetle, in that he gets powers from an alien artifact. If that character concept doesn't work let me know and I can come up with something else.

My questions on character creation are:
1) Are Lantern rings acceptable powers?
2) Kids of Supers, Yes or No?
3) Only OC's or are re imagining of established heroes/villains acceptable?

I am super interested, but just want to make sure that a knowledge of the events of the past play isn't too needed

Space-time Manipulation: Traveler has the ability to fold space, and, formerly, time. With this, he is able to teleport either himself, or objects/other people with physical contact. He also has the ability to create tunnels in space, aka, wormholes, which function as portals from one point to another. He can only teleport/portal to places he had already seen, or had already been to before.

He used to have the ability to travel through time, though it was highly unpredictable and he only used it twice, after which he lost it completely after an encounter with a power leecher.

Dimensional Ergokinesis: Traveler possesses the ability to projects beams or blasts of energy from an unknown source, though it is thought that it comes from the fabric of energy that holds the multiverse together. His beams are red in color, and could blast through concrete if charged at full power. He can also divert the energy as a power source, allowing him to operate what appears to be a lightsaber.

Personality: Unpredictable and perhaps a little erratic, Arcturus was the wierdo in the Titans. Out of them, he was quite laid back and didn't seem to take things seriously, at least until the dire situation has reared its ugly head. He is by far more unscrupulous than the others, preferring to use sneaky tactics against enemies rather than face them head on. For this, he has a mixed reputation; some could say that he fights smart, others say that he has no honor.

Still, Arcturus had demonstrated to be a caring, kind friend to the other Titans, if not the eccentric one. He had responded to Viran's reaching out, at least when he came back from the past. He is affectionate and playful, though he is slow to understand jokes and idioms.

History: Arcturus Forsythe was born on Second City itself, the youngest son of a surgeon father and a librarian mother. He had two siblings; an older sister, and a younger brother, the latter of which was telepathic. Arcturus lived a pretty normal life until he was 14, when his sleepwalking became very... weird. He began waking up in very random places, such as the dumpster behind their house, the neighbour's couch, and the doghouse. He was getting into impossible places, and when home footage was reviewed, it was discovered that Arcturus was teleporting in his sleep. Heroes were common knowledge, and his parents looked for someone to teach their son to control his ability, as they'd dare not cut his wings. Luckily enough, they knew a meta, a teleporter that was apprehended by the Flash, though he had been reformed and had used his powers for the nation in several tours in the Middle East. Arcturus would learn to control his abilities, including his energy projection. The Teen Titans would later see his usefulness and willingness, and invited him over, which he accepted. As a Titan, he aided in the defence of the city against numerous threats, including aliens and other metas.

When the Titans disbanded, Arcturus went to a lot of different places, hiding from the public in plain sight. However, when he tried to teleport to Washington DC, he teleported into the past in the 60's. Finding himself unable to return to the present, he settled in there at an age of 23. He was wary of any effects his presence could do to the timeline; as such, he blended in, not showing his abilities to anyone, not even the woman he married. Their relationship was frowned upon by many, as she was black, and Arcturus was a white man. However, she was dying from cancer after seven years of them together, and it was at her final days that he teleported with her to see many places that she could have only dreamt of. And so, Arcturus' love would have a peaceful death.

He was, however heartbroken, and decided that he had to come back to the present. After a whole month, he returned to the present, only to almost immediately fall under attack from someone with the ability to steal powers. Arcturus managed to defeat and kill him, but his power to travel through time was permanently lost. Not that he wanted to keep it, anyway. Arcturus would then find that Viran had reached out to him along with the other former Titans. He may not be an original, but he still sure is one of them.

Equipment: He wields an energy blade powered by his Ergokinesis; it could be described as an extremely high powered Bunsen Burner.

As Penelope West, she is a skinny 5'4" Caucasian teenager with freckles and short rust-brown hair. She wears glasses for her relatively short-sightedness and prefers a t-shirt (usually with a nerdy or science-based pun on it) and jeans.

In her heroic alter-ego Brightstar, she bright yellow spandex with white accents and blue boots and gloves, and completes the look with a futuristic visor/headset (with the glass custom made to compensate for her vision problems) and a long blond wig to cover her hair. On her chest is her makeshift emblem, a bright white star with white and gold rays coming out of it, set against a blue rhombus. Her boots also have high heels to make her look taller, though while she dislikes walking on them, she compensates by practically flying everywhere.

Brightstar is a metahuman light-based energy blaster sort with flight capabilities. Her powers are essentially solar-powered, as she absorbs sunlight and stores it in her body, releasing it later as focused energy blasts or bright light, and can use that energy to fly as well.
Personality:
In her civilian persona, Penny can be shy around new people and finds it difficult to open up due to a fear of messing it up. Around people she's more comfortable with, however, she can be really cheerful and a bit of a motormouth, especially in subjects she finds interesting or important. She's always ready with a helping hand and an eager attitude, whether it be homework or general help. She's also a big fan of comic books and superheroes, and tries to follow up on superhero stories as they inspire and interest her greatly.

Her superheroine alter-ego leans more towards the "bright and cheerful" side, as she wants to become more open and courageous in her hero persona to act as a vent for her more social side. She generally tries to put on what she believes to be a heroic or brave image fearless and helpful, but bits of her personality keep slipping through, such as her geeking out over a famous superhero or strange new technology.
History:
Oldest daughter of a S.T.A.R. Labs researcher and an adventurous anthropologist, her parents divorced when she was seven and she currently lives with her mother and siblings.

Penny was a shy girl when she was younger, unsure around people and more comfortable around electronics and computers than people, though she has been trying to work around that and get to know people better. Her main solace growing up was science fiction and fantasy, especially superheroes, who were fantastic, larger than life people yet who also existed in real life, making them role models to her, and she aspired to become one when she grew up.

One day, some time after her 13th birthday, she found herself experiencing strange phenomenon, such as waking up a couple inches above the bed, feeling sudden, strong warmth in her hands, an odd tendency to have her hands glow in the dark, and an inability to get sunburns or even suntans anymore. She realized she had been born with superhuman powers, and began working on honing her abilities and learning how to control them. She took a year to master her skill, and eventually managed to cobble together a superhero suit and get some experience superheroing.

Recently, her family moved to Second City as part of her mother's transfer to a new branch, and she's been trying to establish herself there.

She also has a soldering kit, a multipurpose voltmeter, flash drive, and some 'spy devices' in case she needs to do surveillance. Her visor/headset is perfectly functional, with a built in communicator and rudimentary scanner.
Skills:
Penny is a highly skilled electrician and computer expert, able to put together complicated circuitry and devices as necessary with the right components. An accomplished programmer and a skilled cracker, she has considerable skills with computer hardware and programming. She also has some skills that help her crimefighting career, such as aikido training and gymnastics. She's not a master in either, but it allows her some measure of self-defense ability and flexibility in combat.
