Antoinette McCarthy

Location: Liberty Island
Skills:

The water overtook Iris and Antoinette both. She slammed into the ground, the wind being knocked out of her which wasn’t good with water rushing over her as well. It started to recede quickly and Antoinette sat up coughing up water and breathing in huge mouthfuls of air. She was trying to get her focus back when she heard Klara exclaim.
Antoinette blinked, looking up at a normal Klara who was worried and hurrying over to them to help them both up. Antoinette looked around and saw Loki knocked out on the ground. That must have released the hold he had on Klara and Runa both. Antoinette looked back at Klara, smiling a little but didn’t take her hand. Both of Antoinette's hands were still badly burned and she didn’t want any pressure on them, even if it was a helping hand.
”We’ll be alright Klara but are you alright?” She looked over Klara’s own burn marks and then into her eyes. ”Can’t be easy having Loki in your head so many times,” she noted.
As Antoinette sat there, she started to feel a bit funny. She hadn’t noticed Edus wandering over to each of them but then she gasped, seeing the burn marks start to disappear. Along with the blood coming from her head, her nose and the pounding headache she had from everything. Antoinette gave a great sigh of relief as all the pain left her body. She didn’t know what she was going to do for Edus but it would have to be something big and important. A grand painting or his very own bird. Whatever it was, Antoinette needed to thank Ed for his help.

Liberty Island

""He's nearly killed a lot of people Penguin. But I definitely don't have any complaints to beating him up a little bit more for all of the trouble he's caused for everyone here."

"Oh, sorry about that," Klara commented towards Ed, before she waved her hand ever so slightly and the waves started to recede. Turning her attention back to Iris and Annie, "Don't worry, I've had worse injuries. These burns are nothing, you should see some of the stuff that we have to deal with in the other realms... As for my uncle if I had my way I'd be allowed to stab him and make sure he didn't bother anyone ever again, but that is frowned upon so eh..." the last words she spoke were grumbled clearly trying not to let Thor potentially hear her.

Pietro couldn't help but roll his eyes slightly at Guin clearly beating on Loki a whole bunch. Wow Guina, pretty sure you enjoyed that a little too much... Not that I'm complaining or anything..."

After Ed healed everyone, Mary got up off of the ground dusting herself off. "Alright, it looks like everything is over... Maybe... Let's just put this whole ordeal behind us... But ouch that really hurt..." Mary said, looking at Bethany when she spoke, glancing around at the chaos that was seeming to subside now with Loki knocked out entirely. "I'm alright, just a little sore... That was not a fun incident to deal with and was messed up on so many different levels."

She glanced towards the Avengers who were there as Thor seemed to have gotten some cuffs of some sort that he put on Loki after somewhat pulling him away from Guin and afterwards just lifted him over his shoulder. "Maybe if the world is lucky Loki is going to stay locked up and not causing problems for a while still. But let's not get our hopes up for that one."

Lance instantly headed towards the small crater that Runa had been tossed into and looked over at her. He could tell that she was still conscious, but she just wasn't wanting to move or anything, he wasn't too sure why though. However that didn't stop him from heading over towards her and giving her a slight smile, "Hey there Runa, are you okay?" he asked her.

Meanwhile back by Pietro and Wanda, Pietro glanced down at his shirt and noticed that it had a few holes in it and it was somewhat bugging him. "I'll be right back," he said to his sister, before there was a boom from him taking off running. A few moments later, he was back, except now he was wearing a weird colored Hawaiian shirt that likely would stick out like a sore thumb somewhat, and Wanda gave him a bit of a weird look. "What?"

"A Hawaiian shirt? Really Pietro?"

"What? I like it, plus only thing I could really find so quickly, plus it is the summertime so it isn't that bad, and definitely limits your options."

"It looks horrid, almost like you had a normal Hawaiian shirt and a unicorn threw up on it."

"Wandaaaaaaaa! Stop insulting my clothing choices!"

"Not like you actually have that good of a fashion sense anyway."

"Stop being so mean to me!"

"Not mean, just stating the facts."

"Nope, definitely being rude."

"Am not."

"Are too."

"Am not."

"Are too."

"Pietro, ponašaš se smešno, samo prihvati činjenicu da košulja izgleda užasno!" Wanda started saying now in Serbian.

"Ne izgleda loše! Sviđaju mi se ove boje! Dobra je kombinacija boja!"

"Ne rade dobro!"

"Uradi i ti!"

"Nemoj!"

"Uradi i ti!"

Asgard - A few weeks later

Loki was locked up in the prison of Asgard, so he was not much of a concern, at least not to Forseti at the moment. Instead, where he was on Asgard, a figure in a hooded cloak came up to him without much of a care in the world. "I have a proposition for you, if you are willing to hear it." the figure said to him.

"Oh? And what sort of thing do you suggest?"

"You want justice and order throughout the 9 realms, but there might be a way you can achieve this without having to really lift a finger."

Now Forseti was interested in what was being said, and turned his attention fully to look at the figure who had an object in his hands, something that he couldn't quite make out, all he could see was that it seemed to be a containment device of some sort, "That is not possible, not truly."

"Oh but it is, with this, it is yours should you want it, all I want to do is help," he said, before he lifted up the container that was in his hands, and opened it up, a soft reddish glow lit up the area, and Forseti gave the figure a slight smile.

Carolina gave Neil a smile, she was just glad that he was okay and she shook her head slightly it was something that she couldnt do otherwise October would be alive and well still. The most she could do was force someone out of their body like when she had done to Lance when he first hulked out on Galactus' ship. "It wasnt me." Carolina said gently holding Neil's hand and pulled him into another hug, ignoring the broken rib as best she could. She looked to where Ed was and shook her head slightly he wasnt anywhere near them he was tending to Mary.

"I dont think it was Ed." Carolina said softly to Neil as she felt the broken rib healing now as Ed went and healed everyone who was there, and started to relax some. She stood up and offered a hand to help Neil up, looking down at him for a moment it was something that they could look into. "We can look into it together or something." She offered.

"I wouldnt invite Loki to any kind of parties in the future honestly." Bethany said as she watched Guin fire a few repulsor blasts at the unconscious Loki which she thought was a bit entertaining. Bethany looked over towards the small crater that Runa was in, she knew that the girl wasnt in control of herself and decided to go and check on her.

Bethany walked past Ed and gently patted him on the shoulder looking at him for a moment, she was grateful for him healing her. She stopped for a moment seeing Lance there and jumped down and offered a hand out to Runa to help her out. "Lets get you cleaned up yeah?" Beth offered looking at Runa, it looked like Runa wasnt hurt to bad just stunned or something she wasnt sure really.

Guin Stark

Location: Liberty Island
Skills: Telepathy, Basic Serbian
Guin raised a bit of an eyebrow, seeing Wanda and Pietro bicker with each other. She couldn't help but feel a bit nervous with an angry, pregnant Wanda - the last time Wanda had gotten upset, she had rewritten all of reality into a horrible nightmare posing as a dream. She shivered ever so slightly, remembering how in that world, she had asked Pietro to kill her.

"Mislim da izgledaš toplo - wait, fuck, no... Mislim da izgledaš zgodno, dušo - i to su ipak naše boje venčanja,"Guin repeated, fixing her little language faux pas, while stepping out of her suit. She was definitely going to need to scrap it and create a new model, it had gone through a lot of wear and tear in just a few hours.

"...Od kada je mogla da govori srpski?" Wanda instantly asked, looking a bit stunned.

"S obzirom da se cela stvar za koju volimo da se pretvaramo nikada nije dogodila i zanemarujemo da je ona ikada postojala." Pietro responded with a shrug.

"Oh."

Guin had to play the sentences back in her head a few times in order to get the gist of what was being said. She scratched at her left wrist ever so slightly, unconsciously really, before her mind was able to supply a translation. "Honestly, being taught Serbian as Pietro's fantasy was much better than being forced to wear dresses," Guin commented, crossing her arms slightly.

"Glad to know I can't have a spoken conversation with my brother now without you possibly over hearing us," Wanda responded, clearly sounding a bit annoyed with her.

"Wanda be nice..."

"I still think the shirt looks horrid."

"And I still say it looks great!"

She never really understood sibling dynamics, as she was an only child. Until she was about ten years old, she had just been screaming for her father's love and attention. The best years were from ages 10 to 12, when he had reformed and become Iron Man, but before he almost died. After that, it almost hurt more that he was trying to be an attentive and caring father. So when faced with her sister-in-law passive aggressively implying she didn't want Guin around, her solution was to be dramatic. "Oh, I'm so sorry, Wanda. Here, I'll go and leave you alone, so you can talk shit about me behind my back. And don't worry, I won't read your mind, I'm more of a mech than a telepath anyways."

"Good, no one likes you."

"Wanda just shut up."

"Make me!" Wanda snapped back, her eyes having a reddish glow and her hands had that aura around them.

"So now you're going to freak out on me? Really Wanda?"

"At least my husband's a person and not a piece of second rate Pym tech that'll blow its circuits in a year!" Guin snapped, seeing red herself - even though that sadly didn't give her a cool glow.

"Shut up!" Wanda snapped before she sent a blast of energy directly at Guin. Except Pietro instantly got in between them and got knocked backwards instead and stumbled back.

"Can you two stop it? Seriously! Wanda, stop attacking her, Guina, she was teasing me and making life difficult for me, that is kind of what siblings do."

"Why? She stepped into a conversation she hadn't been invited to join!"

Guin's heart skipped a beat as Pietro was blasted backwards, but at least he seemed to be okay. When she blinked, she could still see Muscles on the ground, dead. "Oh, since when do I need a formal invitation to step in and tell my husband that he looks hot as fuck? If we need invitations for conversations, then Wanda, you're uninvited from this one!"

"Shut up, you are nothing!" Wanda snapped, before she looked like she was about to blast Guin backwards, raising her hands, and once again, Pietro stepped in. He instantly hugged his sister and pinned her arms to her sides. "Let go of me Pietro."

"Not until you calm down," he responded calmly. You do realize that both of you are giving me a headache and making things worse right? he then said to Guin mentally.

Guin took a breath. Communication skills were never something really prioritized in her family. "...Sorry..." she mumbled, before stepping back into her suit and walking off to give Pietro and Wanda some space. She didn't know why Wanda was able to get under her skin so easily - why she lost her cool like that.

Are you okay Guina?

Yeah, I'm fine, focus on Wanda.

I can multi task, so how about you tell me the truth?

I honestly don't even know what's bothering me, okay? Guin admitted. She didn't really like this awkward moment they were in, when the battle was won but they hadn't left the scene yet. It felt like when sports teams lingered on the field after a game, without really knowing what was going to come next.

It's okay Guina... And don't worry about Wanda, she doesn't like much of anyone, so she kind of is rude and mean to more then a few people...

If it bothers her so fucking much that I know a little Serbian, which only happened because she made me learn it, I'll ask Xavier to remove the information from my mind, Guin replied a bit grumpily. And I know. I'm pretty sure she hates me more than she does most people.

Guina... It's okay... And clearly you haven't seen her around everyone she has ever met for the first time, most of the time she tends to throw people around...

Come to think of it, she's the reason I'm a mutant, too. If it wasn't for her fucking around in my brain, trying to scare me to death, my X-gene wouldn't have popped.

Guina... Can you calm down please? Pietro asked her mentally. Wanda had seemingly calmed down and they were just standing off to the side talking now.

I am calm.

If you say so...

I do, okay? You don't need to worry about me. Just hang out with Wanda, honestly maybe even spend a few days with her, she really seems to miss you.

You do realize that you might also be subjecting me to dealing with the toaster right?

I dunno, trick him into saying control, alt, delete - it might work to shut him down. And if not, just plug in a bunch of appliances to him and watch him get overheated and power off. But you clearly miss Wanda and she misses you, so go spend some time with her.

Alright Guina.

Guin nodded, making some mental plans. She could always just stay at the X-Mansion while Pietro was gone and take advantage of it being summer, meaning most of the students weren't there. Or she could go spend some time with her dad and Pepper. The most appealing option though was going to New Orleans for a little vacation. Maybe she'd convince Mary to go with her, but she also felt a bit like going solo. Disneyland was also an option, especially since she hadn't had a chance to check out Galaxy's Edge. A small part of her had expected Pietro to put up some sort of fuss about the idea of spending time away from her, but he hadn't. She didn't know how to feel about that.

Neil Spellman

Location: Liberty Island
Skills: N/A
Neil nodded, looking up at Edus in confusion. He didn't really understand what he was being told. He certainly didn't have any ability to resurrect the dead - his aunties had explained it to him when he was little that while everyone else in the Spellman family was special, he was ordinary. He took Carolina's hand as he got up to his feet, relieved to see that she was completely healed - that everyone was completely healed. Against all odds, they had made it out of the conflict with Loki in one piece, without any casualties. "Carolina... Maybe we shouldn't..." Neil said softly.

He was scared of what they would find - that maybe if they looked into it, it would turn out to be some horrible curse. He'd rather not know. He'd rather just be ignorant about it all and just accept the simple gift of life. Of course, he knew that Carolina likely would insist that they'd have to figure it out and he knew that she was right from a logical perspective. It was just fear that was holding him back from agreeing with her wholeheartedly. Deep down, he couldn't help but feel that whatever happened... was wrong. And that if Carolina knew more about him and his family, she'd run away too - just like Sara had.

Meanwhile, Runa was still lying down at the bottom of the crater. She stared at Lance as he came over and asked if she was okay. Why was he being so nice to her, after everything she had done? Perhaps this was why mortals and Asgardians were not supposed to court, she couldn't help but reflect. "I am well," she lied. "Thank you for the offer of assistance, but until I know any residual magics of my uncle's have gone, I think it would be best to avoid physical contact," she said practically. "... I am sorry for the harm and trouble that I have caused. I will take my leave to Asgard, if that is what you wish," she said, looking at Lance mostly with those last few words.

Lance wasn't sure what to think with Runa's words, however, he instantly walked to her and pulled her into his arms and hugged her, saying nothing.

Runa's chin wobbled and the air filling up her lungs felt unsteady. She didn't realize she was about to cry until it was already too late, and she was sobbing into Lance's chest, the tears hot and sticky. "I-I-I'm s-s-so s-sorry, I-I know you m-m-must hate m-me," Runa choked out, her composure gone.

"Why do you think I hate you? It wasn't your fault... And don't try convincing me otherwise..."

"I-I-I s-should h-h-have stopped him," Runa stammered. "It w-was my fault that h-he was able to enchant us."

"Runa, it's okay."

She bit her lip and shook her head. "Y-y-you would be wise to find a mortal for companionship... I-I c-can't do anything but hurt you."

"I've been trying to find you Runa..."

"Do you regret that?" she asked quietly, sniffling as she tried to regain her composure, so that way she could hold her head high instead of sobbing into Lance's shoulder.

"Nope, I definitely don't regret it."

Antoinette McCarthy

Antoinette moved away from Iris for a moment to go check on her best friend Carolina and their friend Neil. She hadn’t seen Neil die but she was glad to see that they were both okay. It had been a very tough fight. Antoinette would even say harder than the fight with Galactus.
”How are you doing?” She looked to both of them, smiling and happy that the pain of her burns was gone.
Antoinette hoped they would be able to clean up and be out of here soon. From what it sounded like though, there was a loud argument going on between the Maximoff siblings and Guin. Antoinette turned around, watching the three of them and shook her head a little. She never understood why Wanda had such a problem with Guin. Perhaps it was simply because her brother fell in love and married. As far as Antoinette knew though, Pietro was still close with his sister.

Ed smirked listening to the bickering of Pietro and Wanda. It was reassuring in a strange sort of way. But it also hurt. The pair of them were twins just like he and his own sister. He hoped for their sake neither outlived the other. The suffering they would feel would be insurmountable. He looked over the group. The physical wounds healed.

He was concerned about the mental anguish some of them would experience. Especially Klara and Runa. The pair of them had been controlled. The type of magic used on them was forbidden among his family. The story of a cousin who had used mind magic and controlled people to do his bidding had been the childhood boogie man for his family. The terrible parts of the tale emphasized until none of the children would dare do mind magic. The strict laws in his family were to keep them in check. Before Thanos destroyed Cardiff with most of his family there was a tribunal and a few of the family had even been executed over the years for breaking the family laws. Now they were unenforcible. There were only a handful of men left in the family. He drew a slow breath. Bringing himself back to Liberty Island. He didn't want to think of his family's tragedy.

Ed forced a smile nodding at the thanks for the healing. It was the least he could do.

"Shiiiiiit, same dude," Iris said with a giggle as Klara brushed off the burns that had lined her neck. "One time, I got straight up decked by a space gorilla. Compared to that, a little splishing and splashing ain't so bad." Despite still seeming exhausted from the fight, Iris' attitude seemed to be becoming closer to her normal, exuberant self. The smoke dispersed, leaving charred bits of her clothing and the dark, scorched grass as the only evidence that there'd been any fire at all.

"So, now that we're not trying to kill each other, do you two-" she began to say, before looking to her left and finding that Annie had slipped off to check in with her other friends. "...do you one want some...refreshments?" she offered, her signature smirk playing at her lips. She dug her hand into her pocket, rummaging around for her weed, before pulling out what she'd been searching for, holding out in her palm. She let out a soft gasp when she saw it. The heat from her flames had melted the Ziplock bag, the plastic clinging to the weed. It was unsalvageable. She stared down at it mournfully. "Damn...well, I've got more back at the mansion if you wanna come back with us." She raised her head back up to look at Klara.

Carolina Reed

Neil Spellman

Location: Liberty Island
Skills: N/A

Carolina sat in her room with a notepad in her lap, with some earbuds in her ears listening to some music as she did a little bit of drawing. She leaned back slightly as she relaxed after the whole thing with Loki Carolina didnt really want to play any kind of Jumanji game or even watch the movies either. Carolina was glad that no body died during the fight with him especially Neil. She reached over and grabbed a cup of water on her bedside table, she stretched slightly setting her notepad down she was a bit hungry and wanted to go down to the kitchen and grab something to eat.

There was a gentle knock on Carolina's door. Neil took a deep breath. "Carolina, it's Neil," he called out. He had just gotten off the phone with his aunties, learning that there was a bit of a family crisis going on and that they needed him to come home right away. He didn't know how long he would be gone for, but it meant he'd need to take a leave of absence from the X-Men - and he couldn't just leave without telling Carolina goodbye in person. He owed her an explanation.

Carolina paused for a moment as she pulled out her earbuds hearing a knock on her door, she heard Neil's voice and smiled as she quickly opened the door seeing that Neil was indeed standing there and quickly wrapped her arms around him pulling Neil into a hug. "Hey Neil how are you?" She asked.

Neil hugged Carolina back, his face flushing slightly. She was his best friend, and while he didn't think of her in a romantic way, he was a bit of a sheepish person regardless. "I'm okay. My family's in trouble," he said, getting right to the point as he let go of her. "I have to go home - I don't know for how long, but... I wanted to say goodbye to you in person."

Carolina let go of the hug and looked at him when he said that his family was in trouble. "What kind of trouble?" She asked, she wasnt sure what kind of trouble his family was actually in. She didnt want to see him leave but she knew that family was always important. "Is there anyway I could help?"

He sighed slightly, not really wanting to explain what was going on. When he let Sara in on the sort of life his family led, she had run screaming. He still hadn't heard from her since. "It's..." he hesitated, trying to think of the simplest way to explain all of this. "You know how everyone in my family is a witch, except for my parents, they're sorcerers? And me?" he prefaced.

Carolina watched as Neil hesitated and gently reached over to hold his hand in a friendly comforting way. "I remember you mentioning that." Carolina said, she remembered the really messy breakup that Neil and Sara had.

He gave her hand a slight squeeze. "Well, my cousin botched a resurrection, angering Baron Samedi, and now every Spellman who has ever died has returned from the grave to hunt her down," he explained. "I have to go help them, and I can't ask for you to put yourself in that kind of danger... I don't know how long it'll take. It could be weeks to get everything resolved."

Carolina met Neil's gaze as he gave her hand a slight squeeze, it really did sound serious she wasnt sure what Neil's cousin had actually done it wasnt really her area of expertise. But she wasnt a stranger to danger at all, she survived being in a jungle cause by Loki's stupid game just a few days prior. "I'm used to all of the danger though kind of on a daily basis you know." She said giving him a smile. "Want me to at least come with you to your family's place?" She offered she at least wanted to spend a little bit more time with Neil before he left.

He bit his lip - the last person he had brought to meet his family had run off in terror. "...Are you sure?" Neil asked her. "If the zombies don't scare you off, the Black Mass might," he said softly.

Carolina gave him a smile and nodded, she had gone through a lot already and had almost died back in Coventry all those years ago to. "I'm sure I dont scare easily you know. Also someone has to make sure that you are safe to."

"The Professor thinks I can self-resurrect two more times," he told her, smiling slightly. "But... I'm glad that you'll be there with me."

"I'll make sure that you dont end up dying this time then so that wont happen." Carolina said and smiled and leaned forward and gave Neil a kiss on the cheek. "Just let me get a few of my things packed up."

🌟 Iron Star and the Scarlet Witch 🔮

Location: West Coast Avengers Headquarters, California

To say Guin had no idea what to expect from this evening would be an understatement. She didn't have any siblings, so she had no frame of reference for what sort of relationship she was supposed to have with her sister-in-law. Most of the time she had spent with Wanda had been in combat anyways - and usually, it was against her. Guin was fairly certain that Wanda hated her, or at least strongly disliked her, but she wanted to try and change that. One, it would be nice for Pietro if the two of them could get along and two, Guin figured it would be way too awkward if she couldn't learn to get along with Wanda by the time they were, say, sixty years old.

She had taken a plane out to San Fransisco, where the West Coast Avengers were established. Guin got out of the limo she had taken from the airport and stared a bit at the iron gates, before walking up to them. She pressed the intercom buzzer. "Uh, Wanda? I'm here."

"Hold on a moment," came the response to Guin, and after another minute the gates opened allowing her to enter the area and into the building.

"... So ominous," Guin muttered under her breath, as she walked through the gates. The gardens were rather pretty, although the statues of famous Avengers seemed like a bit munch. Guin much preferred the New York Avengers Mansion upstate to this one. She knocked on the door, feeling a little weird since she knew that her father had been the one to fund this entire place anyways. "Hello? Wanda?"

Wanda opened the door and looked at her, "Hello Guinevere," she responded to Guin, stepping aside to let her into the building.

"It's Guin, actually - Guinevere's kinda a mouthful. Usually only use it if I have to pretend to be a rich snob, instead of just a rich asshole," she corrected her, walking inside. She put her hands in her pockets and glanced around. The decor wasn't really her style in this place, it felt very much like the 1950's or so, something her grandparents would have enjoyed. The family villa in Switzerland was decorated like this. Her grandmother had been the one to design it and her dad had forbidden anyone changing it.

"If you say so," she said, before walking along after closing the door, before heading towards the living room area, and she went and sat down on a couch, not really sure what to expect herself. She wasn't typically one to do this sort of conversations thing, so Wanda wasn't sure what would be a conversation to have with Guin, guess she was going to find out.

Guin internally screamed slightly. Somehow, this was much, much worse than fighting Wanda. She didn't know if Wanda was being passive aggressive or if she just had the social skills of Pietro's turtle. Add in the fact that her sister-in-law was pregnant and that meant she couldn't even suggest day drinking as a way to break the ice. She followed Wanda into the living room and sat down on an armchair, staring at her. "So... You're getting big...."

"No really?" she responded to her with a bit of an eye roll. "That sort of thing happens when you are pregnant." Guin was sort of bugging her at this point with her one comment, then again, her brother's wife was supposedly smart, at the moment she wasn't seeing that at all.

"And here I thought when you were pregnant, you turned into a dolphin - thanks for clearing that up," Guin couldn't help but quip. She knew it was probably stupid to be sarcastic with Wanda - that Wanda would probably see it as her being antagonizing, or maybe Guin was just overthinking this, she was feeling seriously on edge and regretting a little bit coming here - at least coming here alone. She should have made Pietro come. Or better yet, Pietro could have gone and she could have stayed home and read up on polymers. "Got any ideas for baby names?"

Wanda sort of glared at Guin, there was a slight reddish glow to her hands, as if she might send Guin flying backwards or something, but after a moment the glow dimmed and she shrugged slightly at Guin in response to her question, "A few..."

I think your sister definitely hates me, Guin commented to Pietro. She shifted in the armchair, sitting with her legs crossed even though it was a bit of an awkward position. "Is there anything you need? Like, I dunno, I could build you a special baby monitor that has different outputs, like UV, infrared, the works?" she then asked, figuring maybe she could at least trick Wanda into not hating her by being nice.

What makes you say that?

"I don't really need anything," Wanda responded, clearly calming down a little bit, "Though something like that might be nice," she admitted with a slight smile.

Guin's eyes lit up slightly as she got an idea. "Have you ever seen the Incredibles? The first one, not the second one. Never mind, you probably haven't, anyways so the baby has powers - like, every power - and the suit designer makes him a cute little baby suit that can withstand anything. I've been doing a lot of reading on polymers lately, trying to make a suit without metal for obvious reasons, but I bet I could make bullet proof baby clothes for you. And flame proof and whatever else proof."

"That actually sounds like it would be surprisingly helpful. If you don't mind that sort of thing..." she commented with a slight smile. This wasn't too bad of a conversation, at least at the moment, perhaps this wasn't going to be as horrible with regards to everything as she thought it would be.

"Nah, it won't be any trouble at all. Gives me something to do when Pietro is having zoomies like he's a puppy, you know?" Guin said, giggling a little bit. She let out an internal sigh of relief that Wanda probably wasn't going to kill her - but she also was genuinely excited about the challenge of making protective clothing for baby Avengers.

"You think that's bad you should have seen how fast he moved when he first discovered his powers, he wouldn't sit still for even a moment. Always moving, until he passed out from not keeping up with how much he needed to eat..." she responded with a bit of a laugh.

"Him and those fucking twinkies," Guin said, shaking her head slightly. "Once, he took me to a fancy restaurant for a date, and he had run out of twinkies, so he ended up eating all of his food, mine, and the food on the seven nearest tables to us. You'd think food just runs straight through him."

"Don't get me started on the twinkies thing, I don't know why he's so obsessed with them honestly, that's just my opinion on the subject, but he's always been stealing the things for years."

"The entire twinkies don't expire thing is a myth anyways," Guin pointed out. "They do go bad. Just waiting for the day he saved one too long and it ends up making him barf his brains out." She took off her shoes and set them down on the ground next to her chair, so that way she could get more comfortable. Okay update - I think she doesn't hate me as much.

That's good!

"Oh I've been waiting for that to happen at some point, but so far he has been insanely lucky, then again he stashes them around everywhere and eats them so quickly I doubt that will happen anytime soon."

Guin hesitated for a moment. "Not to ruin this lovely bonding moment we're having, but I gotta ask. Do you hate me? It's totally cool if you do."

She raised an eyebrow more or less at her, "In all honesty? I just find you somewhat annoying at times, not sure what my brother sees in you, but no, I don't actually hate you."

Guin paused for a minute, before nodding. She knew that she could be a lot. She had a very loud, attention-seeking personality and not everyone found that endearing. "I respect that," she told Wanda. "I'm just glad you're not actively trying to murder me - you can be scary as shit. But also, I do enjoy having someone else who likes to tease Pietro and making super baby clothing will be a fun challenge... And you did let me meet my grandparents, which I never got to tell you thank you for."

"If you hurt my brother though that sort of thing likely will change," she commented, just letting the sort of threat hang in the air.

Huh, now I know how you feel whenever Dad threatens you, Guin chimed in. The thought of her being capable of hurting Pietro was a little bit amusing, although she knew that Wanda more likely meant emotionally rather than physically. "The only way I'd ever hurt Pietro was if I was being mind controlled - and even then, you have my permission to bitch slap me so hard I wake up in a Mario Party game."

"If you say so, though something tells me hitting you across the face will be enjoyable to me if that ever comes up."

"Wow, rude," Guin commented, putting her shoes back on. She wants to hit me - in the face. "And here I thought we were starting to get along, just a tiny bit."

Really?

"Being able to coexist is one thing, not entirely sure if we will ever get along."

Yes really! Guin crossed her arms. She could have sworn that they were making progress when she was bribing Wanda with baby clothes. Maybe that was just what she'd have to do with her sister-in-law - distract her with shiny new toys in an effort to keep from being punched. In a matter of minutes, Wanda had gone from finding her annoying to now threatening violence and making it seem like coexistence was in the question. A small part of her was pretty angry. She'd never done anything to Wanda, but Wanda had attacked her repeatedly - she had trapped her in a mental prison and put her body and mind through enough stress that her X-gene popped. "Hmm, what color for the baby clothes? Oh, who am I kidding, you're the Scarlet Witch and you married a synthezoid with red skin, I'll have the clothing be red," Guin said, getting up from the chair. "I'll have Pietro bring the clothes when they're ready."

"Of course, red is my favorite color... And alright, I will see you later then, probably at some point..."

"I'll show myself out," Guin said, leaving the living room. When she left the mansion entirely, she pulled out her phone and checked the time - she had been inside with Wanda for a total of ten minutes. It felt like it had been eighteen years. Or maybe just one really brutal month, say, March for example. Can you come pick me up? I don't feel like taking the jet home.

Something wrong Guina?

"Wait," came Wanda's voice, and Guin would see Wanda coming up behind, "I am... sorry, I don't typically talk to many people aside from those I am constantly around or my brother... I am not used to conversing with most people..."

Guin turned around, looking back at the Scarlet Witch with some confusion. Wanda had ended their interaction, clearly setting up a you should go now sort of moment with her talk about seeing Guin later. "You don't have anything to apologize for, fam," Guin told her. It was ironic - Wanda really was her fam. "We're cool, really. I was going to head out since you more or less signaled you wanted me to leave, and I'm not arguing with a pregnant lady."

"....Alright, good bye then Guin..." she said, before walking back inside.

Nothing's wrong, just ready to go home, babe, Guin then replied to Pietro. She was slightly happy that Wanda had said her name, even pronouncing it correctly - which, according to Pietro, wasn't very easy with a Sokovian accent. And of course, an interaction with her sister-in-law that didn't involve being beaten up was always a plus.

There was suddenly a flash of silver and Pietro was standing next to her, "So, how'd it go?"

"Well, she finds me annoying, she wants to hit me, and I agreed to make her baby clothes," Guin summarized. "So... better than expected?" she admitted.

"...Well at least no one got hurt or anything, so definitely a step in the right direction."

"Hey, she's usually the one who attacks me!" Guin protested. She couldn't think of a time when she had been the one initiating an attack against Wanda, mostly because she wasn't stupid enough to go toe to toe with someone who could control the fabric of reality.

"I know Guina..."

"Look, I'm trying okay? I really am," she promised him. "So let's go home?"

"Alright let's go," he responded to her, picking her up and racing off.

💐 Marygold Isley & Guin Stark 🌟

Location: Grounds of the Xavier Institute

It had been a little while since the entire incident with Loki, and currently Mary was outside underneath a tree, reading a book and was leaning against the trunk. Her head was hurting a little bit at the moment, but she seemed to be having no problems at the moment. Instead he seemed rather calm, which was a bit surprising given how bad things tended to be going in her head.

Guin had been debating back and forth for a few minutes in her head as to what to do. She had been trying to convince Mary to get counseling for a while now, and in typical Mary fashion, she had refused. She couldn't force her to get help. However, Mary's mental health was rapidly deteriorating as far as she could tell and she didn't want to watch her friend suffer. She sighed slightly, before waving at Mary as she walked on over. "Sup?"

"Oh, hey there Guin," she said, giving her a slight smile and looking up from her book. "How are you doing lately?"

"Kinda tired," Guin said with a shrug. "Who would've thought it'd be so hard to make baby clothes, right? What about you?"

"I feel like you are enjoying yourself doing it though," she commented with a bit of a laugh. "Okay, just reading a little bit, being outside is always nice..."

Guin made a face. "The baby stuff, not so much. I have the maternal instincts of a cheese grater. But the high end polymer research? That's pretty cool. I read a fascinating review earlier on wearable electronics, only issue is everyone is using metal and I'd like to avoid that if I can for obvious reasons."

"I mean yeah, we are kind of known for going against someone who is the self-proclaimed master of magnetism, so anything metal based might not be the best things in the world," she responded with a slight laugh.

"Speaking of things that might not be the best things in the world... Could I convince you to try therapy?" Guin asked bluntly, doing perhaps one of the worst segways in the history of everything. "Here me out - if you go to therapy, I'll go to therapy too. And we'll both self actualize and have tons of growth and get mature and all that shit. It'll be fun!"

"...Guin I feel like we've had this conversation before," she commented, not even looking at her friend as she waved her hands slightly at the ground and flowers started popping up next to her. "I don't need therapy..."

She sighed. Guin knew Mary was going to react like this, she really shouldn't have been that surprised. But still, she cared about Mary a lot and she wanted to try her very best. She couldn't force her to go to therapy or get help - she could just ask and be supportive. "You don't need therapy - but we'd all benefit from therapy," Guin argued. "It's like how we go for check-ins at the doctor once a year, even if you're not sick."

"Would it be sad if I pointed out that in reality I don't really tend to have annual checkups or whatever either? Typically not required or whatever so I don't get one unless someone actually forces me to... Got them every year until I was an adult, after that honestly didn't really pay attention to how long it had been since my last one and just... Stopped all together..." she admitted.

"...Okay, well annual checkups are important and you should get those too. That way things can get caught in time before they become a huge issue," Guin pointed out. "You don't want to end up like Jane Foster and find out too late, Mare."

"If you say so, though I am still not going to therapy, I don't need to. I'm fine."

"...Mare, you have two distinct personalities and identities... That isn't healthy."

"...I have it under control."

"Like I had my drug habit under control?" Guin asked Mary, arching an eyebrow.

"Guin, I'm fine, really. Don't worry."

"Fine, then if you won't get therapy, I think you should step down as leader of the X-Men. It's added stress that isn't good for you," Guin countered. "Besides, with the episodes you've been having, you're not able to be reliable in the field anymore as a leader. The team needs someone who's 100% there."

"I am still reliable!" she instantly protested, clearly getting annoyed with what Guin was saying at this point. She had no idea what it was that Guin was going on about with that one. Sure, she's had a few episodes, but they typically were only when she was seriously injured and the adrenaline kicked in. Or if something truly freaked her out or scared her. Cause that happened too, every so often.

"You've lost your shit on members of our team during missions, Mare - that's not okay," Guin argued. "Whenever someone annoys you, they run the risk of you losing it and trying to kill them - that's not a healthy leadership dynamic."

"I haven't actually actively tried to kill anyone!"

"Mare, have you or have you not tried to hurt members of your own team?" Guin asked her point blank. "Excluding cases of being mind controlled by Mesmero."

"Would Loki when he made it so we couldn't tell who was who and I attacked someone only after your husband did count or no?" she asked her, "Cause if it doesn't then not really."

"What about when we were at Stark Tower and you called Sara a bitch and threatened to hurt her?" Guin prompted. She remembered the scene vividly. Sara had disagreed with something Mary said, and Mary had lost it. Neil had tried to step in and ended up attacking Mary, and Mary had barely been able to stop herself from responding in turn.

"I've snapped at people before that isn't exactly a crime you know," she pointed out, everyone has lashed out at people before, hell she remembered more then a few times she lashed out at people before her mental break. When everyone was arguing in Stark Tower for instance during the whole OMEN incident stuck out to her, since people had more then annoyed her a little bit during that point and she had been stressed out.

"Yeah, but this wasn't normal snapping, which by the way is still grossly inappropriate for a leader, especially calling Sara a bitch. That wasn't okay. But you remember what you told me afterwards? That it was because of the little voice in your head. That it was because of mental illness. You shouldn't be the team leader, Mare. If you don't get therapy, I'm going to go to Xavier and I'm going to ask him to pick a new leader. It's that or... or I quit."

"Really Guin? Why won't you listen to me when I tell you that I'm fine..."

"I'm serious, Mary. Deadly serious. So what'll it be? Are you going to get therapy? Are you going to step down as leader? Or should I go tell the West Coast Avengers to get a room ready for me?" she asked, staring Mary dead in the eye.

"I'll be honest, not sure if therapy actually would work for me Guin... There isn't a whole lot of cases of my problem, and when it has popped up there isn't exactly a set way to fix it..."

"One session. That's all I'm asking for, Mare. Even if it does fuck all for helping you, that's my condition," Guin said clearly.

"Alright fine... Not sure what therapist would even want to talk to me, but fine. Happy now?"

Guin beamed. "Extremely."

"Cool, but once again not sure what therapist would be crazy enough to talk to me with regards to my issues."

"What rehab clinic would be insane enough to see me?" Guin argued. "Tons of superheroes see a therapist. I'll ask my dad for the list they keep of recommendations for the Avengers and we'll find one you like together, okay?" Guin promised.

"Alright whatever you say Guin. Still think it's a bad idea but whatever."

Lance Banner

Ed Penior

Runa Baldurdattir

Ed was going around the Mansion collecting anyone's hair that was willing to give him a few strands. He had gotten Bethany's with no issue. She had been thankful for him saving her life during the fight on Liberty Island and with the explanation that it made it possible to heal her from a distance without getting some of her blood that was likely leaking from her, she was fine with it. He expected a few people would think he was weird or have issues with it. Runa was one of the people he expected issue. She knew how magic worked, knew that he could easily turn healing to damage if he decided. Not that he would. He couldn't. His moral code wouldn't allow it. First, he had to find her though.

Runa was sitting underneath a tree outside with Lance. She had set her shoes on the blanket they had brought out with them, but she was curling her feet into the grass. She had carefully plucked a dandelion and turned to Lance with a mischievous smile, before blowing gently, sending the bits of white fluff directly into his face.

"Wow Runa really?" he said to her with a bit of a laugh, giving her a smile. A few of the bits of fluff were stuck in his hair and he used his hand to brush them out.

Ed heard Lance's laugh drifting from outside so he made his way through the porch. He saw Runa and Lance sitting under a tree. He smiled. They were cute together. He didn't really know their story, but when Ed met Runa it had been clear that Lance and she already had a history. He wondered what it was, but would ask some other time. For now he had a specific question. It was convenient that both of them were together because he did need a bit of hair from both of them. "Hello Runa, Lance." He said with a smile as he came within earshot. "I have an odd question."

Runa glanced up at Edus, tilting her head ever so slightly. She felt it would be rude to be seated while he was standing, so she got up to her feet so they could converse properly. She didn't know very much about him - truthfully, she didn't know very much about any member of the X-Men (a name which confused her to no end, as the team seemed to be mostly women). All she knew was that he was magically inclined, something that apparently was becoming more common on Midgard these days. "How can we be of service to you, master wizard?"

"Hey there Ed," Lance said to him with a slight wave when he walked over and shrugged slightly, "What is it? And honestly, I've heard some strange requests, so it probably won't be considered too weird..."

"I realized during the fight on Liberty Island that having the ability the heal the group from a distance is good for the team. The easy way for me to do that is to have a few strands of your hair, root and all. I understand if you're against it, but if I can't get to you to heal you in time with the blood that might be escaping your body..." He trailed off not wanting to think about what would happen if he failed to heal someone during a fight. They needed each other to survive fights.

Runa pursed her lips slightly, thinking it over. Her grandmother was a witch and had taught her a great deal of her magic - she knew the risks of giving her hair to someone she did not know very well. Yet she knew that he was sincere and he wasn't lying about his motivations. "Very well. I'll require an exchange. A hair for a hair."

"Oh, uh, okay... Though I typically don't end up needing it, guess might as well prepare for the odds of running into something that might succeed in killing me, I'm fine with that," he said with a shrug, before pulling out a few hairs, not really wincing or anything at all as he held them out to him.

Ed nodded, it was a reasonable counter request. It gave her leverage over him just as much as him having her hair. Not that he would ever use it in an untoward fashion. That wasn't his style and would be against his moral code. He pulled a few vials from his pocket, offering one to Lance to place his pulled hair strands into. Then one to Runa. He proceeded to pull his own hair, just a few strands but enough that if someone wanted to cast sympathy magic on him they could. Then gave Runa the vial he put his hair into. "Thank you. I have no ill intention. I will only use this to heal you. Or if you go missing and wish to be found I can cast a tracking spell on you. Please leave me a note if you don't want to be found. I will assume no note means you've been kidnapped and require assistance."

She smiled ever so slightly - he reminded her a bit of her older brother, Forseti. "I promise you the same, master wizard," Runa said sagely, accepting the vial he had given her of his hair. She pulled a few strands of her hair, careful to make sure she got the roots, and she placed them delicately into the vial. Although, this was all giving her a bit of an idea. She didn't typical think about magic that required hairs and whatnot, as she preferred to rune cast - and lately, most of her magical uses were combative. "Perhaps we ought to go see if we can locate some of your father's hairs, my light," she told Lance.

Lance simply took the vial from Ed, put a few of his hairs in it, and handed it back to him. He turned to look at Runa when she made the comment about his dad. "...I don't know if that would really work, or if we'd be able to find anything like that in order to try and track him that way..."

"Happy to hear that." Ed smiled at Runa's promise to not use his hair maliciously. If you're able to find a hair of his I would be happy to help." Ed searched his memory if he had known that Lance's dad had been missing. There seemed to be quite a bit he didn't know about the people in the mansion.

Runa nodded morosely. She didn't like how often Lance had to search for missing loved ones - she blushed slightly, realizing she was including herself in that category, when she didn't know if Lance loved her. He was certainly fond of her, she was sure of that, but love? That was such a serious topic. She was scarcely 688 years old - she hadn't yet reached her eighth century of existence.

"...Who honestly knows at this point," he commented, looking at the ground for a moment, he knew that at least Guin knew the full story about his dad being missing, kind of hard not to know since her father was with the Avengers anyway. "You hear about that Skrull Invasion a little while back? Immediately after that he just... Disappeared, and no one knows where he went..." he explained to Ed, not sure what else to say about it.

"Hmm, that is curious." He thought about how he had read once that a far back grand-father had used the blood of a child to locate the parent, but it was a complicated spell and he didn't think he could perform it alone. It would be best to have some of Lance's father's hair or better yet some fresh blood. The fresher the better. However, considering how long ago it had been since Dr. Banner's disappearance there was unlikely to be fresh blood that Ed could use. "Yes. I would love to help. I can use blood or hair. Well technically I can even use nail clippings but never was fond of that. I should be able to track him anywhere. Though the compass I use only points in a direct line." Ed didn't even consider that Dr. Banner might not be on the planet.

Runa nodded, considering what Edus had to offer. The news that the compass could only function in one direction was a bit of a disappointment. Runa was accustomed to systems where spatial coordinates went beyond the two dimensional. She pulled her staff from her belt and Gandr expanded, until the staff was nearly as long as her. "I can see about Asgardian tracking spells, in order to give us more information - perhaps combined, we can receive information in a more three dimensional manner."

"Not entirely sure what we would really have, I mean there might be blood or whatever back at Stark Tower that's his, but I seriously doubt we'd really be able to get much... Never really thought about that sort of thing... Then again this might just be a waste of time or whatever... Might not ever be able to find him..."

Ed nodded at Runa's idea. "That's a good idea, Runa. It doesn't take much blood for the tracking spell. Though if he is really far away I might need more to recast it occasionally. It isn't a waste of time. This is a good chance for you to find him." Ed also didn't want to point out that spell wouldn't work if Dr. Banner was dead.

"Shall we go look for something then, my light?" Runa asked Lance. "We should have plenty of time to search before my parents will expect me for supper."

"Sure, guess we can go, head for Stark Tower see if there is anything there... Only place where there might even be something like that... Let's get going then if you don't mind..." he said, and since he had still been sitting on the ground during the conversation, he got up off of the ground.

"Would you like assistance?" He offered genuinely, but willing to not if Lance said no. It didn't bother Ed either way. He had other hair to collect around the mansion from the other X-men.

"I would not protest," Runa said, smiling ever so slightly. She didn't mind the idea of a chaperone. She knew that some on Asgard would have found it incredibly necessary to have one at all times, but her parents were rather lax, not caring if she spent time alone on Midgard with a mortal boy as long as she was home by curfew - which tended to be rather changeable and lax itself.

"I'm fine with it," Lance said with a slight smile, "Any help I can get would be useful... The Avengers have been keeping an eye out but they haven't found anything still..." With those words, Runa was able to teleport them to Stark Tower. Lance instantly headed towards the lab area, and once he entered the area started going through things. Eventually, he found something that might be helpful as he pulled out what looked like a vial of blood of some sort. "Tony tends to have blood from all of the Avengers, but considering how often my dad tended to run tests on his own blood, figured there would be some here anyway... Though it probably isn't as fresh or whatever that you were wanting for the spell Ed."

"I've used dry blood before. It is just ideal to be fresh. And if it is still liquid that's even better. I can't say I've used old liquid blood before. That's why I asked for hair from. Everyone just makes for the cleanest spell." He explained. He hadn't talked to many people outside his family about their magic before. "Lead the way. I've only been here the once."

"I can reduce the age of the blood, worry not, Master Wizard," Runa assured Edus. It would be as simple as stating a lie and then having one of her companions reject the claim. She didn't imagine it would interfere with the process of Edus' magic, but she was planning on ideally splitting the portions into two so that way one of them wouldn't be tampered with just in case.

"Well, let's hope it works," Lance responded, handing the vial of blood over. "Just be careful, it technically is radioactive I'm pretty sure..."

Ed nodded. He was a bit nervous about the radioactivity. But it should be mild enough that it wouldn't hurt him. As long as he didn't get exposed for too long. He poured a couple of drops onto a compass and said a few words. An orange glow emanated from his hands the compass. He let it lay flat and stared at it confused, and a bit of worry, as the compass spun uncontrollably before flipping on its edge and the red north pin of the compass pointed straight up into the sky. "Oh...I believe you haven't found your father because he is in space."

"Do you have anything more specific than that?" Runa asked. Space was a very large place - it wasn't much of a location. There were millions if not billions of planets, teeming with life, and they had only eliminated one planet in particular so far (Midgard). "Such as what territory? Perhaps the Shi'ar, Kree, Skrull, or Cotati Empires? Or the Nova Corps?"

"Guin and I could build something that might be able to help track him... But honestly, that does explain a lot, no one has even heard from him, and how he got there I don't know... Remember Runa, Ed already said that he might not get anything too specific... But at least that's a place to start... How do you two feel about going to space?"

Somewhere In Space - November 5, 2021

Well, it had been a bit of a wild last few months. After the incident with Loki, a few interesting things tended to happen. Sylvester ended up arriving at the mansion, and got put as a member of the team. However things were going to go a bit insane, as Lance had become hell bent on going off into space whether anyone tagged along with him or not. With some help they managed to get ahold of a ship that was capable of space travel, so they didn't exactly have to build one. Most everyone on the team was going to go along with the trip, so he wasn't going to be alone with it.

Neil and Carolina were going to stay behind to deal with a family emergency of Neil's, something about zombies trying to kill his cousin, and Mira was going to tag along. Though the main reason supposedly she wasn't going to space had something to do with not wanting to be stuck in a small tin can with Iris. So those three were going to be staying behind and the others would all be able to go on the mission to space. It wasn't an official mission or whatever, but it was something that one of them felt like he needed to do, so off they went!

It was somewhat hard to tell where exactly in space they were in at this point, though out of all of the people on board the ship, Lance and Runa likely were the ones who knew really where they were. Runa because she was from Asgard and technically an alien herself, and Lance in the months before they set off had spent quite a bit of time studying star charts and learning from Runa and others where exactly everything was roughly, so he knew where they were going and was sort of the main navigator for the ship. Not to mention he was kind of the person flying the ship for the most part, but he would switch off with others when needed.

The ship was just flying through space though, they had been away from Earth for a few weeks at this point, and they hadn't run into too many issues. They did encounter a few stray ships here and there, but they mostly ignored their own as they flew along. Lance was sitting up front in the cockpit, flying the ship for the most part and looking at a few of the instruments that they had brought along with them. Namely, one that was set to scan for any sort of radiation that could potentially be the Hulk. There were a few other scanners nearby that detected just about everything else that you could think of. He was staying relatively quiet though, just focusing more or less on what it was that he was doing, mainly trying to avoid running into an asteroid or something like that.

Mary was off in a seat by herself, taking a few deep breaths as the ship flew along. She had plant seeds in her pocket in the event that they might have to fight or something, since her powers normally were fairly useless on a spaceship. Her mind was wandering as she read a book out of boredom, partially trying to keep calm in order to potentially not go completely nuclear and try to murder everyone. In such a small area, something like that could potentially be devastating, and it most definitely would not end well. More then a few people probably would end up seriously hurt or potentially dead if she wasn't careful.

Pietro mainly could not sit still no matter what was going on. He every so often would race around in a gust of wind clearly bored despite the fact that they were in such a small space. Guina I'm booooooooooored! Pietro said mentally to her as he went zipping around again. Clearly it wasn't a good idea to keep a speedster in a small area, since they get bored quickly and want to go back to running around like crazy. Then again, being stuck on board that ship for hours on end probably didn't help at all.

Guin Stark

Location: the Millenium Falcon
Skills: Telepathy

Guin was a little bit disappointed that she wasn't the one flying the ship - she had always seen herself as more of a Han Solo type, rather than Princess Leia. Although she supposed with her telepathy, that would make her a Jedi. Maybe Ahsoka Tano? Or was she someone from Star Wars Legends, like Jaina Solo, Sword of the Jedi? Or was she someone else entirely? She giggled slightly, amusing herself with the thought that Pietro might have been Hando at one point in time. He certainly fit the profile - a criminal who ended up on the right side of history.

It was really cool - incredible, if she was being honest - being out in space. If she could have changed things, they would have made some stops at different planets and explored, but that wasn't the point of what they were doing. They were on a mission to try to find Banner, using a device that detected gamma radiation... Essentially, using a metal detector to try and find a needle in a giant stack of scrap metal. It wasn't impossible, but it was going to be difficult. Maybe it was impossible.

Guin glanced up from her switch as Pietro zipped on over - she had been playing Breath of the Wild again to pass the time. She was trying to 100% the game this time. Well, you have a few options. You could continue running around like a maniac and risk destroying the ship. You could make out with me. You could come reenact some things from our honeymoon with me. You could prank people. We could see if there's a board game or something around. You could just talk to me. Or you could watch me play Breath of the Wild.

He looked a little bit like a puppy who had been told that wagging its tail would cause the downfall of society - conflicted, deeply troubled, and just a little bit pouty. ...But running around is fun? But destroying the ship or whatever with all of us on it is bad.

Guin rolled her eyes slightly. She was married to a Man-Child it seemed. Yeah, I kinda don't wanna die in the cold, harsh vacuum of space.

Fiiiiiiiiiine... Pietro responded, as he stopped racing around. So what are you doing?

Guin hit pause on her game and looked up at him. Kicking Ganon's ass.

Sounds like fun. Pietro was no longer zipping around, stopping for now to stand next to Guin, like he was her bodyguard or something like that in a club. She was pretty used to it. In fact, she was a little surprised he wasn't being even more protective, given that they were in a pressurized tin can and his speed couldn't do much to protect her here.

It is. So, what have you decided to do from the list I gave you? Guin asked, setting her game aside. She did feel bad for Pietro. They hadn't really gotten off of the ship since they left Earth, which meant he had been confined to a small space for a few weeks or so now.

I don't knooooooooow, Pietro whined.

How about you make out with me, then? Guin suggested

I mean I'm fine with that, he said with a slight smirk.

Guin giggled slightly. Wow, what a surprise. She knew exactly what sort of gutter his mind went into - and she didn't need her telepathy to determine that. No, it was written clear across his face.

So nice, Pietro complained, but he was still smirking.

So are you going to kiss me or what, Silver Balls? Guin asked him - no, challenged him. She had a little smirk of her own, as she waited to see what he would do. He answered the challenge of course by moving at the speed of light - she blinked and the next thing she knew, she was sitting on his lap as he kissed her, one of his arms wrapped around her and the other gently holding the back of her head.

Runa Baldurdattir

Location: the Millenium Falcon
Skills: Asgardian Magic

Runa was no stranger to space. Her parents had a great deal of wanderlust, so they usually took a family vacation once every revolution or so to some exotic destination. The ship that she was currently traveling in was not as high-tech as she was used to, but she didn't mind such things. She had been overjoyed to see her parents again and they had no objected to her courting a Midgardian boy, despite the mismatch in terms of lifespans.

She was sitting cross legged on the floor of the cockpit area, a little bag in front of her. She spilled the runes from the bag onto the floor and searched, until she glimpsed her personal rune - raidō. Its literal meaning was ride or journey, yet Runa often thought of it in terms of personal transformation - a metamorphosis, a beginning and an end, the inevitable path of change. She did not glimpse anything in her mind's eye from the rune as she meditated on their journey, so she assumed that the path was clear. "I do not see anything worrisome in our path," she told Lance from her spot on the floor.

Bethany leaned back slightly resting her legs on her bag, she had a tablet in her hand and spent sometime binge watching some shows and some movies that she had downloaded before they left just to keep herself entertained. She took off her headphones turning to look at Pietro as he zoomed around the place constantly and shook her head slightly. Until he stopped and watched what Guin was doing, before seeing the two of them starting to make out with each other.

"You guys should get a room or something." Bethany said jokingly as she finished watching the movie she had been watching and slowly stood up and stretched slightly, setting her tablet down into her bag and made her way over towards the cockpit area where Runa and Lance were. She looked down at the runes that were on the ground, and sat down next to Runa, they had become pretty good friends ever since the whole Loki thing. "Whats that you got there?" Beth asked, mostly out of curiosity at least they didnt have anything to really worry about right now which was a good thing.

Antoinette McCarthy

Location: Space
Skills:

Antoinette was enjoying the trip through space and being on a spaceship. The first ship she had been on had been less exciting but this was much more thrilling. Space had so many planets all with beautiful colours. She had some paper and coloured pens with her, making little sketches here and there of planets they passed. She wanted to keep a record to show Carolina, Neil and Mira when they returned. She had been sad when Carolina and Neil left but understood the necessity all the same.
Currently though, Antoinette was standing near a window, working on her hand-to-hand combat moves, fighting air as she heard Wolverine’s words in her head. On occasion, Pietro would zip by and cause her hair to fly all over the place. She giggled as it flew around before settling back down and she resumed her invisible fight. The flight had been over a week so far and it felt good to be exercising and moving rather than sitting and it kept her mind busy from her friends down on Earth or what they would encounter in space on their way to find the Hulk.

Ed Penior

Location: Space
Skills:

Ed was using the time in space where he had no serious obligations reading. He had brought along a small stack of books. He didn't like that they had to be physical books but it was really hard to find magical texts on kindle. Ed did have an anatomy book on a kindle though and was using that to work on learning how the human body worked. He had some idea mostly from his sister's learning of it when she was training, but he hadn't bothered to learn it that much. He wasn't the greatest healer in ten generations.

It was a little hard to read with Pietro running around like a child. Ed was surprised he hadn't been asking 'are we there yet?' with how impatient he was being. Ed did his best to not be annoyed, but it wasn't easy. Thankfully, Guin seemed to have distracted him. He obviously didn't know what they were saying to each other since they were talking telepathically, but at least she had him stop running around. Ed went back to his reading.

Iris Rivers

Location: Spaaaaaace!!!!
Skills:

Despite her rather meager entertainment supply that consisted of a small stack of books (mostly on poetry and philosophy), a journal, and a rather hefty amount of weed, Iris was loving the long trip through space. She found tranquility in it, in the complete and utter silence of the universe, even if she was separated from it by the soft humming of the ship and the sounds of her friends.

She spent most of her time meditating; for hours at a time, she'd sit silent and cross-legged, letting her mind melt into the emptiness outside. She found that the way the absence of the universe cradled them helped her to better become one with it. She was doing just that, outside the cockpit in the more spacious bit of the ship, sitting across from the fighting Annie and not too far from the reading Ed. She'd been like that for roughly an hour and a half when her eyes finally peeled open, staring past Annie's frenzying fists out at the starry abyss of space.

"She's so beautiful," she quietly said, a small grin spreading across her lips. She'd said it every day of their trip at least once, usually more than that. She'd come to refer to space as a she, and if anyone had it in them to ask why, she'd launch into a deep philosophical discussion on the subject, one that'd either end in the inquirer walking away, or Iris getting so high she'd forget what she was talking about. Eventually, after about a minute of staring out at space, her eyes flicked over to Annie. "Man, you really showed that air."

Somewhere In Space

"That's a good thing..." Lance said, nodding his head as he heard Runa's words. "Last thing we need is to run into trouble or whatever... Not even sure what we could run into, any ideas of what sort of people live in this part of space Runa or no?" he asked her, glancing over to look at her for a moment before focusing his attention back on flying the ship.

"You know usually that's my line telling them to get a room," Mary said with a slight laugh towards Bethany and she glanced towards Pietro and Guin. "Though the ship isn't that small, can't you find somewhere else to do that or whatever so the rest of us don't have to deal with it?" she said to the two of them with a bit of an eye roll.

Guina people are being meeeeeeeean to us! How rude!" he commented to Guin, but he didn't say anything out loud. Pietro clearly did not like being cooped up on board of the ship, but there wasn't much else that he could do. Everything moved too slowly, and he had brought a few things to do, but since he was a speedster, he got bored with all of that within minutes. So do you want something to happen on board this bucket of bolts of a spaceship or are you perfectly fine with their being no problems or whatever the entire time?

Nothing really seemed to be happening, except there was suddenly a bit of a power surge. The lights on the ship completely went out, and the engines died out too. There was just complete and utter silence to go along with the darkness. "What the hell?" Mary couldn't help but comment out loud, and everything was just dead. From where he was, Lance created a little ball of light in his hands and sent a few out throughout the area so that they could at least somewhat see anyway.

"No idea," he said, before seeing if he could get the console or controls to work, but that was the problem. Everything was just dead.

Uh, guessing this isn't good?"

Suddenly, the engines and everything turned back on as if nothing had happened to begin with. "Okay, now to see if we can figure out what the hell just happened..." Lance muttered under his breath, the little balls of light he had created during the slight blackout disappeared as he started messing with the console. Trying to get some explanation for what just happened. "What the-" he started to say, as every scanner and sensor in the cockpit area started going off at once. Literally everything was going haywire, and there wasn't seemingly an explanation for it. There was literally nothing really in the area.

"Okay, so now we've got issues," Mary commented before she got up from where she was sitting and headed straight for the front of the ship, glancing out the window of the ship to see if there might be an explanation. But there was literally nothing. "Any ideas?"

"Nope, and the controls are responding still, but the sensors and scanners are essentially shot at the moment. Whatever just happened had to have been big. If I didn't know better, I'd say something just exploded, but as I'm guessing you can tell with your eyes there doesn't seem to be anything out there. Problem is if something did just blow up and we can't see it then flying blind is essentially what we're doing, and we could end up right in the middle of it."

Okay, I take back everything I said a few minutes ago, I am perfectly fine with everything being boring and cooped up on board the ship, all I really know is I do not want to end up dying on board of a flying tin can! Pietro commented to Guin, panicking a little bit clearly.

Antoinette finished her set and looked at Iris, grinning and nodded. ”The air is a lot calmer now that it knows who is in charge,” she joked. Iris and Antoinette had a bit of a strange friendship but they complimented each other well with their oddities. Antoinette just knew when a time to be weird was okay and when it wasn’t. Antoinette picked up her water bottle and took a refreshing sip when the lights went out. Lance quickly provided some light for them but that still didn’t solve the mystery.
Antoinette left her air training behind and walked over closer to the cockpit. The lights turned back on and Antoinette frowned. Perhaps it was just a glitch? A bunch of lights started flashing, things Antoinette didn’t know but understood that it wasn’t good. Mary saying they had a problem didn’t help that stand point.
”Is there another ship in the area?” Antoinette looked towards a window and looked out, trying to find something out there other than the planets and stars.

Guin Stark

Location: the Millenium Falcon
Skills: Telepathy, Electronics and Computers

Guin raised her hand behind her, giving Bethany the middle finger. They were stuck on this tiny tin can with basically nothing to do, and she hadn't said a word about the edibles that had been brought on, no matter how tempting they were. Besides, she figured people would rather Pietro be sitting still and kissing her than running around the tiny ship at top speeds. "Are you inviting me to go have sex with my husband, instead of just kissing him, Mare?" Guin teased. Yuuup, but it's not like they can report us to HR or anything, Guin then whispered back to Pietro.

She wasn't making out with him anymore, as she actually didn't want to make people too uncomfortable - mainly to avoid any further drama. She had enough of that with pressuring Mary to get some therapy. As Pietro asked her if she wanted an emergency to happen, she couldn't help but chuckle. No problems would be ideal - or at least, no problems that we can't fix, she added. Not a second after she had made that mental comment the power went out. The lights weren't what was concerning her - no, Guin was stressed about the life support. This is bad. Very bad. No power means no life support, which means we'll run out of air and the temps will drop so we're either suffocating or freezing to death, take your pick.

The universe seemed to be messing with her, as then everything turned back on, only she could hear a lot of alarms and sensors going off in the cockpit. Lance's description confused her, but not to too much of an extent. Stark Industries had some stealth tech - maybe the explosion was just cloaked from them so they couldn't see it. "Hey, babe? Just breathe, okay, we're gonna be fine," Guin told Pietro, kissing him on the cheek before getting out of his lap.

"Yeah no, fine, kind of made peace with the idea of us being blown up or something..."

She didn't really believe him at all when he said that. "We're not going to die in space. I'm not wearing red, you're not wearing red, so we're good," she told him with a smile, referencing one of his favorite things - Star Trek. She also did an added little trick - with her telepathy and their telepathic bond, she sent him a soothing, calming sensation to ease his anxiety and fear.

"Yay for not being red shirts."

Guin gave him another smile, before heading into the cockpit and quickly accessing the monitor for the life support system. She let out a sigh of relief, seeing that it was fully functional. In fact as far as she could tell from running some quick diagnostics, nothing was wrong with their ship - aside from their sensors going haywire. She closed her eyes for a brief second and did a quick telepathic sweep. There was no one nearby - no one alive at least. "Systems are fully operational and there's no sign of life," Guin reported. "Try jettisoning something at the area the sensors think is freaking out, and we can see if it deviates from its course," she suggested. Basically - throw something at it and see if it crashes into something invisible.

Runa Baldurdattir

Location: the Millenium Falcon
Skills: Asgardian Magic

"Oh, I was simply consulting the runes," Runa explained to Bethany, holding up raidō to show her. Of all the runes that Runa had, it was the most well worn, as it had been frequently handled for hundreds of years. "Its name is raidō. It can tell you a story of what is to be of your journey, or with enough talent and luck, you can use it to find a horse or a ship when you are in need," she explained. It was the rune of traveling, of journeys, and a bit boringly, of transportation. Runa used it whenever she could, as she felt connected to its message. Her life was hard, but there were spots of beauty to it - just as not every journey is easy, but the good can still outweigh the bad.

She tilted her head slightly, considering Lance's question as to who occupied this region of the galaxy. She was about to answer when suddenly everything was plunged into darkness. She frowned deeply. Raidō hadn't shown her this. She reached into her bag of runes and searched until she found the one that she wanted - algiz. Her eyes glowed a soft yellow as she held the rune, visualizing a dome of magical protection encapsulating the craft. She felt the magic come into existence and she let out a soft exhale, the yellow glow vanishing from her eyes.

Runa rose to her feet, listening to the varying reports everyone was giving. It reminded her of a story her grandmother, the All-Mother, had told her. It was just a myth though, a legend. Such a thing was impossible. She kept her mouth shut, not wanting to trouble the Midgardians. There was no way that a reality could just disintegrate and crash into another. "I've put up a protection spell," she said, adding nothing more.

Bethany looked at Guin as she gave her the finger she couldnt help but smirk slightly at the little bit of teasing. Beth then turned to look at the rune that Runa had shown her seeing that it looked a bit worn and turned to look at her friend as she explained the use of it. Which was a bit ironic that they were out in space and traveling to find Lance's father as well she just hoped that they would be able to actually find him. "You should show me how they work sometime." Bethany said to Runa giving her a bit of a smile as she paused for a moment seeing that the lights suddenly shut off.

She always did feel the most comfortable when she was in the dark and always had a feeling that her powers were a lot more useful when everything was dark. But they were in space to and she didnt like the idea of getting sucked out into space in case they were attacked or anything like that. A few seconds later the lights came back on, and Guin seemed to give the all clear after doing a diagnostic, Beth closed her eyes and started to concentrate she was also a clairvoyant but she never used it to often as she did a quick scan around the area but couldnt find anything either. "Maybe it was a solar flare or something?" Beth asked, she wasnt really sure none of this was her area of expertise.
