Hobgoblin Luz

Closer to the Night

@ReusableSword@Jangel13

Luz carefully stabbed all of the other bats to death with the horn from her spear before checking their aura to make sure they were all dead before removing them from the web. She then begins to consume each of the bats until she gains the skill Vampirism at that point she stopped and looks surprised. "Huh, Vampirism?" She said to herself before checking her body to make sure it wasn't smoking or cooking under the indirect sunlight.

She then read the description of the skill. Apparently, it gave her the ability to restore her health by drinking blood. "Restore my health huh?" She asked out loud before looking at the bite marks on her arm. It was a good time to try out her new ability, so before eating her eighth bats she cut off its head and poured it blood into her mouth drinking it after which the bite marks on her body hurt a little less. She then did the same to each of the reminding bats drinking the blood of 5 bats in total before eating them gaining the Nocturnal and Equilibrium skill in the process. After she was done her body was healed of its bite marks.

After she was done Gird popped her a question.

“Luz now that we are rested and fed do you still want to come with me? I am having a craving for more spiders but more so. I have a feeling in the pit of my stomach that terrifies me. The thought of some beast of legend roaming the northern forests. We are already close to the area and the thought of even just seeing such a beast fills my heart with excitement.”

"A beast of legend?" She asked him. She thought about hunting the spiders for their web-spinning abilities, But whatever this legendary creature is, it likely had some pretty cool abilities. Abilities she would probably miss out on if it were to move somewhere. "I don't know if that legendary creature exists but i guess it wouldn't hurt to look for it while we are here." She told him with a warm smile before going with him further north.

Summary: Luz ate her 13 bats drink 6 bats' blood before going with too the Gird north.

Skrik's time wasn't wasted. He found a small pile of decent stones and used one to sharpen and shape another. He used the first sharpened stone to craft those five sticks into five light javelins. Then, he poisoned three of them and set them with his existing one. He left the remaining two unpoisoned and went back to the stones. With every stroke, he tried to improve his understanding of the rocks and the best way to shape them. These rocks were fairly common, he supposed, and would be good practice. With this in mind, while his young cousin searched, he continued to practice until he felt his skills were good enough. Then he went to work on the largest piece he had gathered for himself.

This one was to be an axe head. It was not an extra large stone but it was big enough for the resulting blade to be as long as Skrik's two fists standing one atop the other. With about two-thirds of that in its body, the weight and penetration power should be more than enough for his young cousin. After all, Skrik wasn't really an axe or club user. But, his young cousin had potential and if that potential was realized... Skrik would need to be able to reward him. Still, Skrik was unprepared for how swiftly his young cousin returned with an achievement.

Skrik said nothing at first, merely looking at the black stone in his young cousin's hand for a long moment and studying it as best he could. It's tendency toward sharpness was obvious. The question was more about what kind of blade to shape it into. At last, Skrik accepted the black stone and set it aside with a nod. His eyes locked with those of his young cousin. This was a good find and bringing it to him instead of keeping it told something about this youngling's qualities.

"Good find. Well done, cousin." Skrik said approvingly. "Now sit and shape stones with me. You should keep some of yours for throwing, shape them if you want. Make one for cutting. If any are left, do with them what you want and then hunt a rabbit for yourself." After saying this much, Skrik returned to finishing the axe head and making a few practice spearheads from the common stone. Only after the spearhead practice was done did he take up the black stone and begin to carefully shape it. He wanted a good spearhead that would have unmatched sharpness. It would be a great advantage against the stronger beasts that he wanted to hunt.

When he finished, Skrik looked around to check if his young cousin was done shaping stones or if he had already gone hunting. Then he stood up and stretched before taking an inventory of the result of his efforts. He now had a replacement for the sharp stone knife that he had lost as well as a good number of poisoned javelins. The obsidian spearhead that he had tried to make required closer examination to determine its quality but the two best of his practice spearheads might work as tips for his two regular javelins. Most importantly, he had finished the axe head. He needed to examine its quality as well but if it was decent then he would gift it to his young cousin in return for the obsidian. Skrik would be ready to hunt with his young cousin when this was all done, as he had offered.

But, what should they hunt? Rabbits would fill their bellies but they wouldn't test themselves or get much stronger from such prey. Skrik had heard about spiders and bats and snakes, but spiders and snakes would likely be dangerous without medicine or armor and the bats would probably have numbers on their side.
@Dark Cloud @Jangel13

Summary:
-Inventory updated with replacement items.
-Crafted a bunch of stuff and practiced stone shaping.
-Made axe head after practicing from common stone after practicing. (Quality requested)
-Carefully made spear tip from Obsidian after practicing. (Quality requested)

Kir

Day 0 || Morning || Forest

As she moved deeper into the forest, Kir began hunting for the supplies she needed to make her bow and arrows. She began pulling on and testing branches, very young trees popping out of the ground, wood on the forest floor, and so forth to look for a non-rotting piece of wood that 'felt right' and best for making a bow. Likewise she'd be looking out for those with which to make a couple of high-quality arrows, and plant fibers or such that would be fitting for fashioning a cloak of sorts or weaving it together or such. The arrows she would aim to make high quality enough that could still use recreations of them effectively on prey and such, and likewise craft the bow to make it to last as best as possible. The knowledge was in her, like it was second nature, and she wanted to make the best use of that she could. Besides, she'd been open when saying this was the first task she was going to do before properly hunting after all. Made the best sense to her to have something to use to kill the prey.

Still, Aya was at least said she was going to 'scout out' things. No idea what Argos was going to do though. If he took up her offer of help she'd get to him to fashion some glove-ish thing from his horn and pelt. Otherwise she'd be getting her weapon and such made right now before going hunting. Would be more advantageous than doing nothing, and then maybe she'd have a better chance to explore later once getting these basics taken care of. Even so the female goblin kept hard at work as she focused on her tasks and had gathered her supplies and was working to get it all done well. Now wasn't the time to slow down and do nothing.

As she worked, Kir cast her eyes over at Argos briefly before returning her eyes to the work she was doing.

"Want anything too?" Kir asked the male, tone not judgmental but more simply causally offering, "While I'm working at this I might as well, at least if you want while Aya is running around the place."

It was a simple offer, and Argos could accept or leave it as he wished. She was mostly doing her own thing, but having someone else at least armed on the hunt wouldn't be a bad thing either. Sheesh. Considering how few hobs there were, it made her wonder how stupid some of the prior generation was to just up and die off or something. Eh. It was a question that didn't really matter anyways, not as long as she didn't end up like them.

***Summary: Kir went deeper into the forest, going about gathering remaining materials for making her bow, two high-quality horned-rabbit-horn-tipped arrows, and cloak, and then has gone about working on crafting them. During the process of this she made a causal offer of making something for Argos, and only if he accepts she will also craft him something to fight with. If he doesn't accept she'll just finish up work on her own stuff.

In Search of Legends...

The hobs had soon finished their well deserved meal and as such moved towards the north in search of a legendary creature. The would agree and head towards the north. They heard tell that a creature of great strength waited for them far into the north. They reached the outskirts of the spiders territory as they soon saw the trademark spider webs on the trees. However they would yet to see any sign of such creature of legend for a full hour of walking ahead and being cautious. Soon they would reach a large hill. They for some reason decided to climb and get their Barings. They would soon be able to see that they were quite high up above the normal tree line allowing them to see farther then they normally would. In doing so they would look towards the north again.

When they looked north they would see a large mountain top to the distance. It was covered in snow and looked much to far to walk this early in their journey. However they would soon notice movement on the top of said hill and a streak of red cut through the snow with unbelievable speed. They would not normally be able to see what was there but the streak of red stopped and while they couldn't discern with detail what it was they noticed one thing, red hungry eyes. It was impossible the creature shouldn't be able to see them from that far! However they would both be frozen in fear simply under the gaze of creature and even from so far away they understood. If they even got close to that mountain it would be a death sentence. The creature then left and returned to being a streak of red cutting through the snowy peaks...

Both Goblin Gird and Luz gained: Dread a creature of immense power saw them. They are filled with fear and genuinely fear for their lives. While they didn't see what it was that was staring at them the mere presence the creature exudes even from such a vast distance couldn't remove the knowledge that they were dead if they dared to challenge the beast.

@Haeo@Dark Cloud

The dark rock turned out to be extremely sharp and it was only after careful examination that it was able to be used in making a weapon. With prior experience in the shaping of stone to a spear tip the goblin Skrike was able to create the rock into a well made spear head. As he worked the stone of the ax into a workable shape he would see that the ax was of a good quality. It seemed stronger then a normal ax head which wasn't saying much but it was clearly able to be used effectively if done so by the right individual. The obsidian thanks to his previous experience in shaping became an incredibly sharp spear head and actually cut the hobs finger just from moving his finger along its edge. Cleary this weapon was of better quality then the ax and was much sharper then regular stone however it also seemed frailer then regular stone.

Goblins gained: Stone ax Good Quality: the ax is resilient to regular wear and tear and gives a moderate boost to damage in combat when used correctly.
Obsidian spear head Uncommon Quality: The spear head has become an extremely sharp tool, sharper then any regular stone that has been found. However with the lack of proper skill in weapon crafting with rare materials the design turned out more brittle. If hit against armor or other incredibly hard surface the blade will shatter.

Goblin Skrike learned rookie weaponsmith: The goblin has learned through experience what ways to move and create a primitive weapon would be. Gained the skill to craft spears, axs, swords, and knives

@Crusader Lord

Argos would follow next to her and would have been forced to wait as he watched his sister go to work in creating things for herself to hunt with. He was bored and was anxious to fight again and soon enough he heard her voice as she offered to give him something. He shook his head and said "Later after hunt. Are you nearly done?" he asked wondering how much longer the sun would stay up. If they didn't move both of the girls would end up starving and that would leave a bad taste in Argos mouth.

@Eviledd1984@Duthguy@Darked13

Grandpa was about to greet the young goblin that spoke so oddly before he was soon looking at hob zats and was a bit surprised to hear something was wrong. He stood up and looked at them but was soon surprised to see that the hob had a flower growing out of his wrist and he was saying he was fine. He watched as the hob brought the rock over to him without any effort as the rock quickly leapt to his hand and stayed there. Goblin grandpa heaved a sigh of relief before he said "You young ones are going to give your old grandpa a heart attack one of these days. Now would you do this old man a favor and help out your younger brother over there. He seems a bit lost." he said with a smile not wanting any of his young ones to be neglected but he couldn't coddle them anymore. He hoped that the strange one would find a use among the most senior of the hobs

Wan Baw Mcgraw

Day 0, Morning, Church

Wan while walking around noticed the commotion going on, at first he was confused about the bracelet on the other goblin’s arm. He was quite intrigued by this, thinking it was some kind of new invention, The young goblin walking over towards the goblin with the bracelet. Grabbing his arm suddenly, and starting to scan the bracelet. He wanted to know what kind of technology. “Wot kind of tech is this man I’ve never seen dis before. How did ya get this tech?” He asked Arch desperately wanting to know how he acquired such a fascinating gadget. He seemed quite enamored by the bracelet that Arch was wearing, he seemed to be ignoring the others. He had to admit that he was a little jealous of the other goblin's bracelet, which gives him quite incredible power.

His small hands moving over Arch's arm, hand, and the bracelet itself. Sooner or later he removed his hand from Arch. Feeling a little embarrassed by creepily touching Arch's arm. "Eh sorry mate, I got real into ya bracelet like a real creep." The young goblin then turned towards Grandpa Goblin. "Eh gramps, i need a favor from ya. I wanna head out of ere and get some materials to make some inventions."

Hobgoblin Zats

"If you say so" Zats was relieved that Arch claimed to be fine as well as impressed with his mastery over Earth Call (lesser). He decided to copy his sibling by moving one of the rocks to his own open hand. He was also willing to do as Grandpa asked and help the young Goblin out, if reluctantly."Of course, Grandpa."

When the Goblin started talking about "tech" and "gadgets" though it became clear that he was indeed odd, but his desire to create inventions meant that he still could be useful and reminded him a bit of Gina's drive to climb trees in how shamelessly he announced it. Zats faced the young enthusiastic Goblin in order to introduce himself. "I'm Zats and what is your name? "

Hobgoblin Luz

Mountains of Madness

@ReusableSword@Jangel13

Honestly, Luz began to question rather or not this legendary creature exists if it doesn't then Gird and her would just have to kill something else in its place. The two of them then came across a large hill which look like a decent place to get a view of the surrounding area. From that hill, Luz search out the surrendering area and notice mountains in the distances. "Honestly i didn't think we would be so close to the mountains." She remarked.

But then Luz caught a red streak blitzing across the mountain. "Whoa you see tha-" she tried to remark before all of a sudden but hit but a sudden terror that paralyzes her whole body. All she could do it watch it, watch it as it gazes on them from afar. How does she know it was gazing at them...she doesn't know...but for some reason, she could not escape the feeling like it was even from the gap between them. She wants to move...she wants to move but she couldn't her body will not listen it just stayed there...helpless all she could do was watch helplessly and wondering if she was going to to be killed without even so much as being allowed to struggle.

All of sudden the entity just left them...and Luz dropped her sword while felling to her knees stun at what just happen before slowly turning to her hands which were shaking like crazy; and from that, she knew...she was scared. Never before in this life had Luz felt such terror in her life or perhaps even her past life. For minutes she would stay there on her knee and just look at her hands not responding to whatever Gird says to her.

Summary:
*Luz's wax wings melted
*When into a mini-catatonic state cause she's not used to such an experience

Hᴏʙɢᴏʙʟɪɴ Aʀᴄʜ

Arch grins as he holds the stone in his hand, precisely as the Goddess willed! That is perfect. Once, he was done with the little test he looked over at Goblin Grandpa, "Sorry for that Grandpa... I'll bring you some rabbit meat for the trouble, and maybe ask you to teach me some more about medicines in case there are any goblins that get hurt in their first hunt, but don't die. I'll take good care of him, if he is willing I'll even teach him the basics of proper hunting." He grinne widely... but before he could even turn to the goblin he was already up close and very touchy. Good thing he had no killy reflexes beyond lightly stepping away from the goblin once he was done, "You really shouldn't... just go and touch others like that. At least, not outside, or without consent. Someone might break your arm. If that does happen though, I can fix it, don't worry." He grinned at the young goblin, "But don't worry about my flower it is a gift by the Goddess Shirila herself, therefore I can only thank her for this blessing. The bracelet is a gift I have obtained from Her, and now it even allows me to do things like I just did."

He put the hand on VVan's shoulder once he turned to goblin Grandpa, "I can bring you out now if you want, I'm Arch." He turned to Zats, "I can also teach you my stalking techniques for hunting while I am out. Just don't plan on going too far beyond the rabbits so that I can be sure that as many of us survive." Looking again at the young goblin, "From what you are saying... you need materials. Things to make other things. There is nothing left in here, but you have to learn how to get your own food regardless of anything else you want to get. I can teach you how to get it, and how to not die while trying to get it." The hand didn't leave his shoulder... unless he attempted to brush the hobgoblin off, in which case, the hand wouldn't be on VVan's shoulder anymore.

Goblin Aya

Aya was getting excited, unreasonably so actually, considering she had no idea of how this sudden learning thing worked in the first place. Still, even if she wasn’t successful, learning something about how the system itself worked, or rather didn’t work, would be valuable in its own right.

As she walked Aya continuously analysed every critter she saw to the best of her abilities. Butterflies… Those were the post chrysalis forms of caterpillars right? Designed pretty much solely for reproduction… also pollinators, what was the evolutionary advantage to that? Incidental as a result of their diet or maybe benefiting the ecosystem at large was indirectly beneficial to them…

She tried to maintain her usual sense of caution, occasionally snapping her improvised weaponry back into position and scanning for danger as a sudden wave of panic hit her, but each and every time Aya’s attention was quickly sucked back to the task of identifying the local wildlife. Birds… flight was useful but the mechanics behind it escaped her grasp… a centipede, lots of legs, lived in the underbrush, probably poisonous...

Skrik & Grik Collaboration:

Skrik was pleased at the results of his efforts. An uncommon spear head and a good quality axe head were good results for an amateur, to say nothing of the skill that he gained. With this skill, he'd have a much easier time making decent weapons and tools for future hunts. But, more importantly for the moment, he had finished his reward for his cousin. Looking over, he easily confirmed that his young cousin was still nearby... and looking a bit disappointed. Well, that was natural.

"Young one, here." He said without preamble as he held out the good quality axe head. "This should be good for your hunting. Add it to your club. We'll be hunting when you're done." the young goblin perked up at this, and eagerly took the axe head in his hands while he dragged the club closer to where he was sitting. Grik was slightly more engaged as he was excited to be properly rewarded by his older relative.

Skrik's mouth curved upward at one corner, just a little. He had succeeded in rewarding his young cousin well. But, now the questions that remained were how much time it would take to finish the weapon and how much time would remain for them to hunt before nightfall. They would need a good tree to spend the night in as well. Skrik's small smile vanished at the thought of the two of them confronting those wolves on the ground. That would be... a brief and unpleasant affair.

In the meantime, Skrik took note of the rocks that his young cousin gathered and started trying to increase their number. Even if they couldn't kill a wolf from a tree, they could practice and maybe improve their chances later.

Grik took his time figuring out how to attach the axe head to his club but took this opportunity to pester the hob with a few questions but one stuck out amongst the chatter between his task, one that was something of a thought that he blurted out "...Did you ever feel like your brothers and sisters ignored you? Do you hate them?" it was something he had on his mind yet he failed to keep the thought to himself.

Skrik stopped his work for a moment to consider the question. It wasn't really something that he had thought about much. Besides, he had been keeping a casual eye on his young cousin's progress with his new weapon. The change of subject was rather sudden.

"I don't hate them. We all hunt to become stronger, each in a different way. We can't stay together and get what we want." He said flatly as he returned to his work. It was true that he missed the company of his siblings from time to time but they had never been coddled. Survival first, everything else came later. For that very survival, tools and powers were necessary. "My siblings sought power through hunting first. I looked for tools and other methods first. But, it's time for me to begin truly hunting. I need to be stronger to get the methods that I want."

The young goblin listened intently to his cousin, nodding at the explanation. "I guess I understand, but my siblings didn't even speak to me. I just don't understand why, and it makes me want them to fail..." he said sounding hurt and angry.

"You need to be strong. If they help you, you will be weaker. Most of them would see you being with me as a bad thing, holding you back... allowing you to be weak. I will reward progress but I will not give you anything for free. I will not go that far." Skrik fell silent for a moment before speaking again. "Failure is death. Death allows no returns. Your feelings are your own. Make your own choice."

Grik grew silent as he got close to finishing his task of fitting the axe head to the hefty stick he was clenching tightly between his legs, using the strength he had to hold the club still enough to chip the top with a rock he picked up from the ground. It took a few minutes but before he got close to finishing he spoke up in a solemn tone. "My choice is to take action, to meet every challenge without fear." Grik told the hob before returning his attention to the club.

"I thought so. That's why I made the axe." Skrik said with a nod as he set down the few additional throwing stones that he had completed next to his junior and began to walk out of the cave. "I will look for a tree strong enough to shelter us for the night. When you are done, come out and join me for our hunt."

The trees near this cave were not very suitable since most of the low branches had been broken off by young goblins looking for easy clubs. But, Skrik knew that there would be better trees close enough. He would stay relatively close and quiet. It would also be important to find out if this cave would attract anything looking for a lair.

@Jangel13
@Dark Cloud

Summary: Skrik
- Gave Good Quality Axe Head to Grik
- Made/found a few more throwing stones for Grik
- Went out to search for a tree that can protect both of them from wolves at night
- Also looking for signs of any new beasts in the area

Summary: Grik
- Crafted the Good Axe Head to his club.

Hobgoblin Gird
well deserved rest >> Not the biggest thing in the forest /// Day 0 // Afternoon

The trek north was hard and slowly grew colder, even the occasional spider webs didn’t venture this far north. It seemed that they were not well suited for this climate just yet almost like it was on a whole nother level. Gird wanted to get a better view of their surroundings and decided to crest the hill in front of them for a better vantage point. He didn’t have to go very far to see the surroundings. Luz seemed to be waiting next to him on the hill and before them grew the ever imposing slopes of the tall snowy mountains.

With his new found near sightedness the hobgoblin found it difficult at first for his eyes to focus in on the distant snowcapped mountains, even Luz commented on it. She seemed to be pointing something out and stopped. It took him a moment longer to see just a glimpse of something red moving very quickly through the snow above, suddenly the beast stopped and almost looked as if it was starring right at them.

Gird’s blood ran cold and he even felt like he was being watched from something that could destroy him without a second thought, an apex predator that outclassed them in every way. His heart was racing, his muscles screamed at him to run but his mind couldn’t compute this sudden emotion of absolute fear. he was stuck and couldnt move, the gaze from the beast alone froze him just by looking at him. some moments that felt like hours passed and the beast looked away.

“th-th-th-that uhhh we we sh-should go.” He slowly stepped back and grabbed Luz by the arm pretty much dragging her with him until they were back in the forest and he could catch his breath. “ok umm, th-that was a b-bad idea. I th-think im just ganna go kill some uhh some spiders.” This was a bad idea but at least they knew not to go this way for a while still.

“lets go uhh eat something, spiders? R-right spiders yeah that sounds much better.” Well at least now he knew what fear really was and that the mountains were no match for them. Perhaps this could lead him to being able to resist being feared by other things as he doubted that they would be worse than whatever it was that that red mountain demon was. It at least told him one thing, if a beast could get that powerful so could he.

Summary: @Jangel13 Found a vantage point and saw something that almost made his very soul leave his body. @demonspade64 dragged Luz back into the forest a bit then decided to go back and just kill some spiders.

Wan Baw Mcgraw

Day 0, Morning, Church

Wan turned towards Gats with a soft smile on his face, “My name is Wan Baw Mcgraw, it’s nice to meet ya two.” Turning his attention towardsArch, hiding the fact that he was quite jealous of the other goblin’s new device. “A blessin from the gods? Sounds like a crock of shite mate. It was probably that bracelet ya got on, that let you have that fern growing on ya arm. Where did ya find the bracelet man? It could be some sort of ancient weapon or device, from some sort of ancient civilization.” Of course to offset the rather rude statement, he apologized and continued on with the conversation. “That’s good to ear. I’ve been starving for the past couple of hours now.” Rubbing his now growling stomach. “Maybe you guys could help me scavenge for some tech? I’ve been ichin to make something like that bracelet ya got.” He said pointing to Arch’s bracelet.

Hobgoblin Luz

Melted Wings

@ReusableSword@Jangel13

Luz had snapped out of her stupor as she was being dragged away from the scene by her arm by Gird. "Gird we need to get stronger don't we?" She said with a frown. Honestly, Luz was glad to be alive, but she can't help but feel that the two of them just shooed off like mere flies and that along with her helplessness in the situation was a blow to her ego, and because of the blow to her ego she realize she was subjected to gravity.

“let's go uhh eat something, spiders? R-right spiders yeah that sounds much better.”

"Yes...i think it will be best if we hunt spiders for now cause of that...Crimson Beast seems...out of our league!" She admitted while folding her arms in front of her. "Web-spinning ability seems pretty useful." She also before she went with him to hunt some spiders.

Summary:
-Luz broke out of her stupor
-Went with Gird to hunt some spiders.

Today had been a busy day for all the goblins and hobgoblins. As they would look to the sky they would notice that the sky had started to turn into a dark orange hue. It was starting to show everyone that it was starting to get dark outside. If they didn't move quickly they would be caught outside during the night. Sadly this meant that some goblins wouldn't be able to eat today but it was either wait another day for hunting or to risk being eaten by the wolves that roamed the night.

@demonspade64@ReusableSword

The hobs had seen what true fear looks like. They saw what it took to be strong enough to challenge a legendary beast. They were legends for a reason and after having their minds accept the reality of just how small they truly were they wisely decided to leave. As they noticed it was starting to get dark the spiders with their dark carapace would be even harder to spot and the webs doubly so, it would be suicide if they tried to attack the spiders when it got dark.

@Duthguy@Eviledd1984@Darked13

As the goblins talked about hunting they soon saw that it was getting dark outside. Sadly that meant it wasn't enough time for them to hunt but if nothing else they would be able to settle for edible berries this time around. Goblin grandpa sighed a bit as she said he would get him rabbit meat for the scare and he said ""Just don't scare me like that again and we will call it even. You should go out and find some berries, it seems that the day is nearly over. The last thing I want is for you all to be hunted by the wolves.

@Dark Cloud@Haeo

The Hob and the goblin had gotten their tools ready however it seemed as though that it was starting to grow dark in the area. They would need to be careful. They went searching for a tree that would be suitable to hide in for the night. It didn't take long for them to find such a tree which wasn't far from the old tree the hob had used when he was camping out at night. This tree held many large branches where they could lay on top of and wouldn't snap under their combined weight but it was far from a comfortable place to sleep compared to the church.

@TheMushroomLord@Crusader Lord

Argos sighed as he looked up and saw that the sky had turned orange and without needing to think about it he instinctually knew that it was starting to get dark. He then said "wasted day, find something to tide you over cause we can't hunt" he said with a groan before he got up and started to walk back to the church knowing she would be fine to find some berries or something like that on her own. He didn't walk far though in case his sisters were dumb enough to try and hunt while it was getting dark out.

Hobgoblin Gird
Not the biggest thing in the forest >> Time to go home. /// Day 0 // Afternoon > Evening

The duo traveled back into the forest towards the spider’s home and along the trail they came from. Gird could tell that the light was beginning to dim as his eyes didn’t hurt so much as he was looking into the dark forest. Clearly it would be getting dark soon that combined with the dark coloration of the spiders that even with the enhanced senses they had a t night it was unlikely that they would be successful. It was actually more likely that they would be the ones being hunted if they tried to travel into the Spiders domain.

Gird stopped and looked around, first into the trees and forest and then up to the sky. He hadn’t spoken since they spotted whatever that beast was. He had heard his friend just didn’t want to say anything until now. “Hmm I think that we will have to get spiders later.” He could tell that his mind and his heart had refocused and he was able to talk and speak regularly again. “Whatever that thing was, is king of the mountain, but if something like that can get that strong, it just means that we can too.” He looked to his friend and smiled. “I’m going to go back to the church and rest for now. It’s beginning to get dark and this expedition was more tiring then I thought.” He paused for a moment and looked around. “Tomorrow you can choose wear we go, I want to venture south at some point as well but again I’ll leave that choice up to you tomorrow.

So let’s go home and check on the others.

Summary:@Jangel13 Gird has calmed down and decided to head home now that it has gotten dark. He also decided to let@demonspade64 Luz decide where they will go tomorrow.

Hobgoblin Zats

Zats was surprised that Wan hadn't eaten anything yet, even if he could act jerkish given how he talked about Arch's bracelet the hobgoblins should have gotten enough food for everyone. Honestly he doubted Wan would find something he could use to imitate the bracelet but they could search for useful stuff while gathering berries, as long as they didn't waste too much time. "Grandpa is right, it isn't much fun being out at night. Anyway if we do go look for berries … and tech we should also keep an eye out for sticks and stones we can use to make weapons for tomorrow with."

Zats was ready to go but waited to see if the others were willing to come with, after all while he and Arch could handle themselves pretty well the other Hobgoblin didn't really have stake in this and the younger Goblin might decide it was too risky.

Hobgoblin Luz

Twilight

@ReusableSword@Jangel13

Before Luz knew it, it was already twilight which likely would make hunting spider more of a pain, Luz wants more time to do things that would allow her to evolve into a more fitting form and realize the mistake she made when she offered up all those bats to Death Goddess which honestly she didn't think she would accept but apparently she has a soft spot for Gird. "Agreed! It looks like those things are hunkering down for the night." She said quietly to him.

“Tomorrow you can choose wear we go, I want to venture south at some point as well but again I’ll leave that choice up to you tomorrow.”

"What a coincidence, i was also planning on heading there." she stated calmly. "I think i head there with you tomorrow, after which if you still want to hunt the spiders i suggest we split for then, cause i want to see if i can level up my Vampirism sort of like my Pinpoint Strike and Quick strike." She started thinking it was at least worth an experiment. She then turn around and start walking away. "And Gird..." she said before stopping in her track and looking back at him. "...thank you!" She simply told him calmly before continuing walking back to the church.

Summary
-Luz and Gird made plans tomorrow to hunt Night vipers and decided to go back to the church.

Kir

Day 0 || Evening (Before Dark) || Forest

Hmmm, it was getting dark indeed. But she'd taken the time to make sure her work was at least the best quality she could make it out to be. Albeit it was primitive, simple, so 'quality' only went so far. Yet with her finished bow, cloak, and arrows, Kir would don her new single piece of garb and stash her two arrows in it as she held her bow. It all felt 'right' in some sense, so at least there was that much going for her. Yet she did look over at Argos as he complained, simply giving a nod as she began to walk towards him. Sure the day was giving way to night...but that proved to have its own opportunities during this last tiny bit of daylight. A unique opportunity indeed.

"You're right, it's getting dark and we won't be able to hunt many things...but we still have a nice chance for something on the way back. A few small creatures emerging in the evening, maybe tired ones on the way back to their dens and such, that sort of thing.

Don't intend on being stupid enough to sit around at night myself, but right here before it is a perfect chance to get something on the way back from out here in the forest. So let's get moving while the light still lingers."

Part of her was curious about sitting out to see the moon again. It was a pretty sight, but the night wouldn't likely be kind to her either. Bigger things, nastier things, etc coming out to eat and hunt and play in their own way. A little goblin like herself stood no chance, and that didn't take any major knowledge or talking to in order to comprehend. Sometimes death, if those hazy past memory things were any indication, could come suddenly and without warning to take everything from you.

Even so, Kir would begin to take a route back to the Church whilst carefully moving and hunting at the same time to make use of the last bit of daylight along the way. If she found anything to kill she'd recreate an arrow of her and fire it as best she could at the prey to kill it. Better to not stomp around willfully and scare things if she wanted to get something! Besides, her path would ultimately take her back to the Church. She'd also keep an eye out for anything that looked edible otherwise to boot.

***Summary: Kir is heading back in the direction of the Church with Argos, BUT is taking a more circuitous route to hunt prey on the way back. Her intended path will get her back by the time it gets fully dark, but is meant to take advantage of tired daytime creatures hopping back home or small nighttime critters she could hunt that are beginning to wake up and step out at this time of day. In other words, on the trip back to the Church she is taking advantage of the time of day to hunt (and on the side see if anything else edible pops up for her to grab along the way).

Skrik & Grik

Day: 0 Location: Forest

Skrik was happy to find a tree that would be suitable for both of them to spend the night. But the very limited time to hunt was a problem. Since he had hunted in this area before, he took a moment to recall places where he had seen horned rabbits. They might have time to hunt one if they were lucky.

The night would not wait.

"Let's hunt." He said quietly to his young cousin. "We don't have long. One hunt and we need to be back in this tree or at the church by full dark. Follow and be as quiet as you can." and Grik nodded sliding down the side of the tree after his older cousin, he now regretted his decision of leaving the carcass of the horned rabbit behind but that was of little importance currently.

Like before the young goblin kept close to the trees, avoiding the forest floor as it would stir fallen leaves and crunch under one's feet. Grik remained as close to Skrik as he could without bothering the hobgoblin as they made their way between the darkening woodlands.

@Jangel13 @Dark Cloud
Summary: Skrik and Grik went hunting for a horned rabbit while keeping an eye on the time. They prioritize getting back to the tree or the church by full dark.
