Myra was perplexed by how the demoness, whom quickly introduced herself as Sakura, changed her appearance with a simple wave of her hand. With her attention briefly stolen by Sakura's disguise technique, Myra kept looking at her in amazement for a brief second before she nodded, indicating she did understand what Sakura said. According to her words, she was also looking for her friends, although Myra had no idea of what the 'rebels' were nor she saw any clock around. Focusing on what was important, she nodded again to Sakura, excitedly.

"My-ra!" she said, pointing to herself with a smile before making a serious face, almost as if she was thinking about something for a few seconds.

"Friends!" she said, nodding her head as if she understood exactly what Sakura was going through.

After Sakura finished speaking though, for some reason she cut the fruit she was eating in half and gave one of them to Myra. Taking it on her hands, a bit surprised by her gesture, she looked at the fruit. While it wasn't meat and it certainly wouldn't be as fulfilling as it for her, she had already seen a few of those in the forests she been through. It was sweet, juicy and crunchy.

Smiling back to Sakura, Myra took the half apple to her mouth and gave it a careful big in order to not spill any of it's juice. Since Sakura was also searching for her friends, Myra decided to go with her for now. Just as she began following her though, out of nowhere, a vine coming from a stranger's hand suddenly went to the half apple she was biting, making it grow back into a complete one. Startled by that, Myra gave a jump back, almost letting go of the apple in the process as she plucked it from the vine, sniffing it a few times, warily, before she finally gave it a small bite just to be sure it was still a normal apple.

Taking one more glance to the strange male fairy that had appeared from the crowd, she looked at him with a wary expression as he approached her. While he didn't appear to be dangerous, the way he approached her so suddenly did make her a bit scared.
Myra continued looking at him, as he asked what she was searching for.

"Friends." she replied, pointing towards Sakura, realizing just now that she was already walking away.

Looking to Sakura, to the male fairy and then Sakura again, she blinked a few times before walking to where she was, not before looking back to see if the male fairy was following her. She was still a bit wary of him but he offered to help her and didn't seem to want anything bad, which was the reason why Myra wasn't outright trying to get away from him.

Getting near Sakura again, Myra found her pressing her back against the wall as she looked towards the center of the plaza, where the sound had came from earlier. Sakura's expression was a bit strange and Myra had no idea of why or even what she was doing. Instead of imitating her though, Myra simply stood right in the open, looking at Sakura as she tilted her head in confusion before giving a glance back at the strange fairy that had approached her earlier.

Leon unlinked his arm from Lucia’s and instead wrapped it around her shoulders in a small sideways hug as she spoke about the friends she had lost. He smiled for a second, feeling like he had really convinced the others that he was indeed an elf. It was like a game. Lying, tricking people, convincing them that he was something other than what he was. He didn’t look much like an elf, he didn’t know all that much about them, and he’d convinced people who’d lived amongst them their whole life that he was one too. And that was fun, that was like winning. He wanted to see how long he could keep it going, just how good the act could be, but it wasn’t a game. Lucia had lost friends for this, this whole rebellion was something that mattered enough to the people here that they were willing to die for it.

“You were instrumental in finding me though. I don’t think anyone could’ve done a better job at protecting a clueless human.” Leon spoke mainly to Lucia, but he was sure Risa and the Dragonborn could hear him. That was fine, he could try his elf act again later, on someone new, and Risa was supposed to be a major part of the rebellion anyway.

“So, rebellion, I’m all in, certainly can’t side with someone who wants my head separated from the rest of my body. Let’s grind the bones of the lich to make our bread.” Leon added, looking towards the rest of the group. Leon could slip into a different act, one where he was brave, where he could be useful to rebellion in a place where there with ferocious dragon men, warrior princess fairies, and wonder woman elves. Even if it wasn’t true, not that he didn’t support their rebellion, but because he knew enough about himself to know he wasn’t half the things he pretended to be. Not exceptional; not in bravery, or usefulness, or anything remotely noble. He was good with machines, fun at parties, and occasionally had moments where he felt like a good person.

That wasn’t what a rebellion needed, they needed humans who could fight, who were brave and noble. Maybe if he pretended long enough he could be that too, he could belong here. Or maybe he’d just disappoint them. There’s another thing he was good at, letting people down. Leon betrayed none of this, he smiled wide as he spoke, puffed out his chest as if he could be someone who could fight by their sides.

Valok snorted with disapproval as one of the fairies referred to the owlbear as cute. He would prefer the creature in a cage, or at the very least on a short chain. Kept confined in some manner until it was ready to be of use to them. After all, this was a wild beast, not an alley, or fellow soldier. He kept a suspicious eye on it, though it was less dangerous than its full-grown counterparts, he did not trust it not cause some sort of trouble.

He did not relax as he waited in the room. He sat remarkably still with rigid posture, keeping alert for any signs of danger. Valok waited for Malachi to return with new orders, and he stayed quiet except for the occasional soft noise of disapproval directed towards the small owlbear when it begged for attention or lumber about. Valok glanced over at Belle as she spoke, then looked around the room once more.

“It is very bright in here, but I am otherwise fine.” Valok said, not really sure how to put into words all the ways this place made him uncomfortable. He studied the human who looked almost as uncomfortable as he felt.

“You do not like being here either?” He added after another stretch of silence. He could think of no other questions to ask that would not give away to the others in the room that she was human. He didn’t know much about humans, but so far this one had been quiet and fearless and those were good qualities to have.

Skar and Hatchet had gathered together in the clearing and gotten acquainted over grog and a bit of roughhousing. Despite their physiological differences, goblins and orcs enjoy most of the same things. All the while Skar made battle plans with Hatchet in between drinking and a few good brawls. She watched some and participated in a few herself. There were some broken bones in the midst of the roughhousing, but this was a normal thing in a gathering of orcs.

Hatchet revealed that he was an Orc Captain, which made Skar respect him a bit more. She hated his unnecessary talking, but being a Captain meant he had some level of reputation. Reputation in orc society indicated the power one had in a fight. Most were simply great fighters and killers, while few used their intellect. Most found the latter to be the most dangerous and Hatchet may have been one of them.

The two looked at a map of southwestern Avalia as Skar's best slave stood beside her silently watching the exchange.

"Warpact better through desert this way! No boats!" She complained about how her people would reach the Diamond Heart clan. Skar did not have confidence that her horde could successfully navigate by watercraft of any sort.

"If you mean to travel through the flippin' desert, you are simply mad! Most of your Warpact will be gone before you even reach the oasis! Y'know there's a young blue dragon out there taking out anything that crosses that territory. Not only that, but the bitch gots other creatures helpin' it!" He circled the northern portion of the desert. Skar simply glared at him intensely.

"Bloodfang want to travel by boat? Travel by boat. Go to water. Skar and Warpact will leave in morning… Warpact will travel by desert. Skar not fear anyone! Not even dragon!"

Belladonna

Time: Evening
Location: River Port Healing Center
Interaction: @Helo Valok

Belladonna glanced at Valok as he spoke. He was right, it was way too bright in here. She cringed a little as she stood up. She moved over to sit by Valok’s side with a faint grimace. ”Lower the lights a little, fairy girl.” She told the fairy who quickly obeyed her command and dimmed the lights. She rubbed her temples and pinched the bridge of her nose to keep her cool. Belle looked at Valok after some thought. ”I don't like being here. I'm game to leave whenever Malachi returns. And this whole day has been stupid, hasn't it? I'm ready for a drink.”

Fairies were easily becoming the worst company she had so far in Avalia. In the background she could hear them fawning over Avenger, but pushed it out of her mind. They were joyfully giggling and hadn’t stopped talking. How were they so genuinely happy? Were their lives that simple and peaceful? She couldn’t stand how they could have so much energy. At the moment she’d be fine if she slept for the next month. ”So what do you want to do after this? You feel any better - are you hungry?” She ignored her stomach rumbling and focused on him. He’d been critically injured, not her, and she wasn’t going to be a little bitch about it. A cut on her side and hunger and dehydration weren’t unfamiliar to her.

After a moment, she leaned in and whispered, ”Are all fairies this annoying?” She grimaced at their loud laughter. Belle almost contemplated praying that the rest of the rebels weren’t going to be this annoying.

Utsuro, Elsea, Ezeri,Cade & Corvina

Ezeri yelled at Elsea to get out of the way but realized no sound came from her voice in a quick reaction. With a boost of adrenaline she rode over to Elsea on the unicorn, grabbing her by the back of the dress and just tossed her onto the back of the unicorn behind her and rode a bit away before jumping off. Ezeri then looked at Mel, pointing at the creature and signaling to attack it. Ezeri drew her sword and released the chain. As it let loose, it started to heat up and lava began leaking from the blade onto the forest floor. She whipped the blade at the creatures’ arm trying to restrain it. Melzor moved on her signal and aimed to sting the beast on its back.

Elsea had been so distracted by the rabbit boy, gripping her spear tightly, that she hadn’t even noticed the bat creature coming for her. She let out a scream of shock as Ezeri picked her up and put her on the unicorn, but it seemed like no one had really heard the scream. Either that or they didn’t react. Did she even hear her own scream? Everything was confusing and happening so quickly. After Ezeri departed, Elsea surveyed the scene before her briefly before trying to send a fire attack at the bat creature. Nothing happened. Black mist was slowly enveloping all of them and when her magic failed her again she felt panic rise. She looked to Cora and yelled out to her, but nothing happened. She began waving at the girl until she made eye contact and they seemed to understand each other. Elsea grabbed hold of the unicorn's mane and urged him forward, towards Cora in an attempt to get her on the unicorn too and outstretched her arm to help her pyro sister up.

Sudden growling and a mysterious and eerie voice caused Cora to tense up. She inhaled with fear and realized she hadn’t heard herself. Worse yet, she saw a mysterious creature coming for Elsea. With the weird voice and mysterious figure, it didn’t take long for Cora to realize they had newfound evil company. She jolted forward to help Elsea, but was relieved when Ezeri saved her on the unicorn. She glanced around at the mist and tried conjuring fire to no avail.
As panic rose, she reached around and felt for Cade. Her hand collided with something furry, and she knew it was Cade. Cora pointed outside of the mist and then met Elsea’s eye. She nodded to her fire sister and grabbed her arm when she approached. She heaved herself up onto the unicorn and beckoned Cade to follow. Once outside of the mist, she then turned to Elsea. ”Why don’t we light this bitch up?” Cora grinned at her. Elsea returned the grin, but glanced back at the mist.

”I definitely want to, but I’m afraid of harming the others.” Elsea responded and contemplated for a moment. That’s when a crazy idea hit her and she looked back to Cora. She could still feel a connection to the girl’s magic. ”What if we try to combine our magic? Maybe we can create some fire bird looking thing and make it appear to attack above where the creature last was? Keep it high enough that we won’t harm Cade and Ezeri?” She wasn’t sure how well it would work and probably would take a lot of concentration, but maybe, just maybe, they could create enough of a distraction with it for the others to have an advantage.

Meanwhile in the mist…

Cade’s attempt to growl at the large grotesque bat creature had made no sound, just as the twisted bat creature’s movements were unnervingly quiet. He watched Cora leave with Elsea upon the unicorn, giving the human a reassuring squeeze of the hand before she left. He would not flee from the bat creature, unlike the previous demons they had encountered, this one could be fought. Once the two humans were safely out of reach of the bat creature Cade stalked closer to the beast, flanking the side opposite of Ezeri. He was momentarily distracted by the devil’s lava-coated chain sword but quickly focused his attention back on the bat creature. He had figured out that the black mist was suppressing sounds, the only way to anticipate the creature’s attacks and the plans of his allies was to watch them closely. Ezeri was on one side, attacking one of the creature’s long arms. Cade swung his halberd and moved to attack the other arm, keeping himself out of reach from the beast’s long sharp claws.

Utsuro knew of his opponents’ capabilities. It was not surprised when Elsea’s teammates managed to save her just in time before its razor sharp claws came crashing down on the ground and leaving a crater on the spot where Elsea should have been. It saw the panic in their eyes once they noticed they couldn’t speak and the fear upon realizing they can’t conjure their magic as long as they were inside the mist. Utsuro easily evaded Ezeri and Cade’s attacks, leaping high into the air with the black mist moving and reacting to Utsuro’s movement and location. It landed behind the rabbit boy whose eyes were still blank white while it’s own red eyes glared through the darkness of the mist.

”You only delay the inevitable.” Utsuro spoke through its channel, its hollow voice loud enough so that Cora and Elsea could hear its voice too. ”The humans are vital in defeating the Lich King but they could also be the key to his success. Why torture yourselves in a future full of uncertainty and suffering? Why not succumb to the peace and totality of death?” It said as the rabbit boy’s body suddenly jerked, his mouth open so wide as if he was screaming no sounds could come out. The veins on his neck were bulging and the group could tell he was in terrible pain due to him becoming the Voidcaller’s channel.

”Such poor young souls. I shall grant you a swift and merciful death.” Utsuro said once more through its channel as it turned its head to the direction where Cora and Elsea were discussing on how to defeat it. The Voidcaller could easily hear them thanks to its huge and sensitive ears. ”Starting with them.” Utsuro said, the black mist following him as he quickly snatched the poor rabbit boy unto its mantle and bounded on all fours towards the two women with great speed.

Ezeri gritted her teeth and ran to the side along Utsuro, using the humans to keep a distraction while he was looking straight ahead. She swung her sword like a whip, low to the ground as it latched on to his ankle. Ezeri pulled on it to make the parts that were caught on eachother tighter, lava leaked from the area on his ankle searing the flesh while the blades cut into Utsuro’s leg. She then turned to look at Cade, motioning toward Utsuro while he was caught up. Small patches of fire had begun to ignite from the lava that had been dripping forest floor.

Before Elsea and Cora could finish their discussion of a plan, Elsea caught sight of the mist moving towards them once again. ”Oh for fucks sake!” She nearly yelled out in frustration before beckoning the unicorn to move them once again. As she did so, she leaned down to whisper to him. ”Would ya be a dear and keep us out of that mist, Leith?” No one else had seemed to give the unicorn a name and so Elsea had taken it upon herself to name him after her late twin brother. The others could protest it later, but for now it just felt right to her.

Suddenly the mist stopped and Elsea found it to be curious, but it was now or never. ”Now Cora, we have to do this now.” She said as she began to conjure her magic, trying to form it into a large phoenix.

Cora inhaled when she saw the mist coming toward them. It was like watching her life before her eyes fade. The words from the rabbit caused chills to run up her spine. The rabbit seems to be in terrible pain and she wanted to make it a swift death. Curious enough, the mist stopped, though Cora didn’t know why. She didn’t question it. With her eyebrows raised, she turned to look at Elsea. Nodding in agreement, Cora focused her energy onto her magic and used her willpower to begin forming fire. She furrowed her brows and envisioned the phoenix. To her delight, fire began to form. She watched as it began to take life. All Cora could hear were the flames. She then raised her hand and sent it toward the mist to attack the rabbit. ”Elsea, that rabbit is in terrible pain. What the hell is wrong with it?”

Her attention was the phoenix, but she could feel Ezeri’s fire on the ground and began beckoning the flames to join their phoenix. Had the flames not moved, she began to extinguish them. The last thing they needed, excluding their injuries or deaths from this demented rabbit, was another forest fire. They were too close to the port and there would be too many prying eyes. ”Elsea - there’s also flames from Ezeri’s sword on the forest floor. We need to keep it from burning the forest and our friends.”

Cade ran after the demon, following close behind Ezeri. While the demon wasted time talking through the rabbit boy, Ezeri and Cade had easily caught up to Utsuro. Ezeri had trapped the demon with the chain sword and signaled for Cade to attack. Without hesitation, he sprinted towards Utsuro, avoiding the small patches of fire that had sprung up for the lava that leaked from Ezeri’s sword. Cade lurched forward and swung the halberd at the demon’s back with all the strength and will he possessed. Just as he did, a bird made of fire took shape and swooped towards the demon and his rabbit puppet as well. The heat from both the lava and the firebird was nearly unbearable, but his focus was only on the enemy. He would not let this demon hurt the humans, he would not fail them.

Intense pain shot out throughout Utsuro's entire body as Ezeri's sword whip wrapped around its leg, causing him to stop. Its fur and the grass beneath it became singed with fire as it grunted through its channel. "How dare-". Before it could even continue, it stared wide-eyed at the bird made of pure fire as it swooped down on it and attacked both it and its channel. The forest was filled with screams of agony with Utsuro's hollow voice mixing along with the rabbit boy's own true voice as they were both set aflame. Utsuro lost concentration because of the pain, causing the black mist to thin out and letting Cora and Elsea get a glimpse of what's happening within it.

"Help! Help me!" The rabbit boy shouted and pleaded as his voice still mixed along with Utsuro's. The Voidcaller also screamed in pain when Cade brought its halberd down on its back with all his might. Utsuro reached back with its long arms and grabbed Cade, its razor sharp claws digging into his arm and drawing blood. It then brought him in front of its body and sank its huge fanged teeth on Cade's shoulder, piercing through his clothing and sucking on the demi-human's blood. They could see its burn wounds healing up and its body becoming bigger and stronger as it continued to suck on Cade's life force.

The rabbit boy still strapped on Utsuro's back was deeply hurting due to the burns all over his body but he had regained enough consciousness to snap out of becoming Utsuro's channel. He was battling through so much fatigue but his willpower was stronger than ever. He saw the halberd stuck on the creature's back and, determined to live, grabbed the handle and sawed it on Utsuro's back, cutting and shoving the blade more against its flesh. The intense pain caused Utsuro to stop feeding off of Cade and let him go while it reached back to try and stop the rabbit boy. It managed to grab the halberd and swung it away, throwing off the boy in the process as he still held on to its handle. He landed on a patch of grass near the girls and he was groaning in so much pain, but the black mist surrounding Utsuro was now gone, allowing anyone to get a cleaner shot in killing the Voidcaller.

Ezeri took this chance to rip Utsuro’s leg from under him, dropping him on one knee. She then drew the chain in, tearing the creature’s foot off in the process. Then she quickly jumped on to his back, stabbing down into his shoulder through his heart once again, releasing the chains. This caused lava to leak inside the creature's body to finish it before ripping the chain sword out of his body. She looked towards the girls, “The fight should be over. Check on the boy. I will make sure Cade is alright.” She said before jumping off and bringing Cade to lean against a tree. When she checked his wounds, they seemed to be bleeding quite a bit, so she ripped her cape to wrap the wound tightly. “Does anyone have a potion or anything? We can use it to heal these two until we get into town to some healers.”

The mist cleared up in time for the girls to watch the fight end. The rabbit boy had been flung towards them and it was at this point that Elsea realized he was still alive. ”Oh my.” She said as she quickly jumped off the unicorn and ran to the boy. He needed healing badly. She helped him up and moved back to Cora and the unicorn. ”Help me get him up there with you.” She said to Cora.

Cora watched as the mist cleared up and revealed the terror within. Her eyes widened and she jumped off the unicorn. Her eyes teared up as she saw the rabbit’s condition. Her stomach churned inside, knowing she was partially responsible. Blaming herself though right now wasn’t logical. She’d have to dwell on it later. ”You poor thing! Oh my goodness!” She began helping him onto the unicorn and then jumped up as well. He looked like he would topple over if he wasn't supported. She hopped up again behind him and wrapped her arms around it and her hands around the unicorn’s mane. ”I’ll keep him supported.” She looked over at Ezeri and Cade, tears filling her eyes. ”Are you okay, Cade? I saw the thing grab you. I’m so sorry you were injured. Ezeri and Mel, are you okay?” Her gaze flickered back to Cade. The hollowness inside of her would soon devour her. ”Cade do you know where the healing center is located?” While awaiting an answer, she held her hands up and began extinguishing the fire.

“This will do just fine, thank you Ezeri. It is an honor to fight alongside such a courageous warrior.” Cade forced a bright smile and slapped her shoulder with the hand not attached to his injured arm. The arm, which dangled about like a useless hunk of meat, was at least not dripping blood about. He would not waste time discussing the amount of damage to his arm, either he would get it healed in town or he would find himself a saber of some sort and fight one-armed. For Cade, as with most any feline, pride was deeply important. He would not bemoan a battered arm, and certainly not while a young demihuman laid there half roasted.

“No potions I’m afraid, but the faster we move the better his chances will be once we are in town.” Cade said brushing past Ezeri and nodding his head in the direction towards the healing center. He was dizzy, weakened from both the blood loss and the life force taken from him by Utsuro, but he’d had worse. Cade carried on as if he was barely injured because that was what a cat does. His gait was noticeably clumsier than usual but he did not slow his pace.

Cade had never cared much for magics, he had none and would never wish for it. He saw the ways so many used it irresponsibly, all the ways it was used to cause suffering. The ways those who possessed it acted as if it made them better. Magic made plenty of things easier but Cade saw a great deal wrong with doing things the easy way. It was rarely the right way, and everything came at a cost, whether you paid it upfront or discovered it later. Currently, all of Avalia was paying a great price for how the lich used magic, and save for necromancy, no other magic scared him the way fire magic did. It was wild and brutal, fire magic would burn, without hesitation, all that was in its path.

He gave Cora a grateful smile and nod as she extinguished the flames in the forest. She was trying and he could see that. Cade could tell by the looks worn on both Cora and Elsea’s faces that their intent had not been to harm the young man. But the rabbit still paid the price for their magic and the young demihuman moaned in agony atop the unicorn. Cade voiced none of these concerns, it was not needed, and he did not envy the difficult road that surely lay ahead of those humans burdened with this power.

“No need to make a fuss over me, Cora, I am more than willing to bleed for our cause.” He set his eyes on the dwindling lights of River Port, ready to make his way into town.

Valok offered a small smile as the lights dimmed and shadows throughout the room settled more comfortably. His eyes could see more clearly now, it no longer hurt to look about the room the way did when the light was so very bright. He looked at Belle when she spoke to him, but never in her eyes. Commanders never liked for those below them to look them in the eye, and Belle had ordered the fairies around with the presence of authority. He wondered if she came from leadership in her own world, though now it was clear that she took orders from Malachi. Still, she was someone of much higher value to the rebellion, and Valok never forgot his place in things.

“Today has been a good day for me, but I am sorry it has not been so for you.” Valok said with a nod. For him today had been amongst his best; he had survived a fight, he had found a new commander to follow, and he had the strange experience of meeting kind strangers. The last one was new to him, and despite his gut reaction to the fairies, he did not find himself disliking them. He was surprised at Belle’s other question, he was not accustomed to being asked what he wanted. He gave it some thought, and he decided he was also hungry.

“I would like to eat as well. If it is permitted. Otherwise, I will wait for orders from Malachi.” Valok glanced back to the door, towards the fairies, and then again at Belle. He got up and walked over to the fairies, politely asking them for water for Belle and him. The fairy was impossibly chipper and unbothered by him asking for it. He returned to Belle and sat back down with the same stiff posture. Fidgeting was unbecoming of a soldier, he had learned that very young and so he was always careful to remain as still as possible.

“You said you needed a drink, the healer is going to bring us water.” Valok explained and then paused briefly choosing his next words carefully. “Much like the light in this room was, the fairies are too bright for me. Not the sort of people I am used to. But it must take a lot to use so much of one’s magic to heal others. They are very kind for doing so, they do not seem half as bad as I was taught to believe they were.” Valok explained as best he could, unsure if a human would understand. If their worlds were in any way similar. He found the fairies strange, too kind, full of too much light, but these were not things he held against them, these were intriguing qualities.

TIME: Evening
LOCATION: Town Square → Beach
INTERACTIONS: Myra @13org, Elthrael @Dezuel, Risa @princess,
Valaeon @FunnyGuy, Valamiir @Alivefalling, Leon @Helo, Lucia @Potter

Sakura gasped as she felt a surge of energy shot up inside her body but she also felt as if her heart was lighter in a way like someone took a chunk of it. She was familiar with this kind of feeling as she felt it a while ago when Maneru was executed, she even knew who this energy belonged to. Utsuro was an integral part of the team and it was a shame to lose such a valuable member like it. She wanted to avenge the death of her shikigami and she swore that she would keep that promise. She just had to learn who killed each of them and then kill them as well when the time was right. At least Utsuro could rest well with its parents. They'll never be apart anymore.

Going back to reality, Sakura was also baffled by the way Myra introduced herself a while ago. She could speak but it seemed that it's only through words with the least amount of syllables possible. Something must have happened to that demon for her to be reduced like that. A curse perhaps but that seemed like a far-shot. Either that or a trauma from her past that made her like that. Either way, Myra was added to the list of creatures Sakura wanted to know more of. Who knows, she might be hiding some interesting knowledge Sakura could take advantage of.

Speaking of Myra, the white demon just casually stood out in the open where she's right in the line of sight by Risa's group. Scared that they might see a demoness and think of her as a spy, Sakura called out Myra's attention. "Psst! Hey! What in hell are you doing?! Get back in here!" She hissed at Myra in a whisper-shout type of way. She must've known it wasn't going to work and she groaned in frustration.

Gritting her teeth, she undid the illusion on herself, reverting her into her original look with white hair and pupil-less yellow eyes. All that hard work in keeping up her illusion for nothing but she did cast a spell on herself that will mask her demon scent from the dragonborn. If they so much as caught a whiff of her being a demon, it'll all be over for Sakura. She may be a powerful witch but even she was no match for their sheer strength.

With a huff, Sakura walked out of her hiding spot towards Myra. She must've made the white demoness confused as she kept changing her appearance but she'll get used to it now that it seemed they were on the same side. "You really need to learn how to be discrete." Sakura told Myra who was delighted to notice Risa's group seemed to be going to the beach. They seemed to have not seen her yet which was a huge relief.

She noticed kept Myra glancing back at a dark-winged fairy with white hair who seemed to be looking back at her too. Sakura might not know Myra that much, she literally just met her a few minutes ago, but she was still a demon and Sakura always looked out for her kin, especially to those who might be taken advantage of. She put a hand at Myra's back while glaring at the fairy, giving him a look that said back off and do not mess with them. She didn't know why a fairy would be interested in a demon but she was not keen on finding out.

She looked back at Risa's group at the square and breathed deeply to calm her nerves. She looked at Myra with a bit of annoyance before sighing in defeat. "Let's just get this over with." Sakura said unenthusiastically at Myra before she started to walk towards Risa and the others at the beach, going slower this time so she could walk beside Myra. She really did hope Risa would remember her as she defended the princess from a haughty, social-climbing elf back at the ball. Surely she would or else those large dragons would make really quick work of Sakura.

Sakura gulped. Was it too late to turn back now?

“Forgiven.” He said, giving his one word reply and followed the group to the beach riding his drake. “I am glad to hear that you are on our side.” He spoke to Lucia, “A human eh, interesting I personally haven’t had much interaction with your kind.” Valamiir spoke quietly. “I think with enough support I think we can succeed in victory but make sure everyone understands that war is not forgiving and those joining will possibly see their comrades die in front of them or in the battles ahead. I give my full support and life to this rebellion to make sure we come out victorious.” His tone was very serious.

"Lost? Hmm…" Valaeon eyed the two elves wondering if Risa was serious about what she had said about the two getting lost on the way to the beach. He nodded to her deciding to walk nevertheless. He was not here to command but to assess the situation. "I shall provide overwatch from the sky then." He informed before taking a few strides forward and flapping his huge, powerful wings.

He kept a watchful eye on his group and anyone following from up high. With a bird's eye view, he noticed two or three figures following Risa, Valamiir, and the elves. Night made it harder to pinpoint the exact number as his sight was limited by poor lighting and moving shadows.

Once Risa, Valamiir, Lucia, and Leon reached the beach, Valaeon glided down and landed rather gently before looking towards the direction where Sakura approached from.

"See, I knew he was a mighty warrior! I always have a good eye for the type!" He said referring to Leon being a human, but kept his eyes on those approaching. He positioned himself between the group and the approaching party and crossed his spiky arms over his chest while spreading his large wings. The dragonborn was like a living, breathing barrier of muscle and sharpness.

"I think it would be wise to identify yourself before taking another step. Unfortunately, this is not a party… but the Shakey Dock might be the place you want if that is truly what you seek." His deep tone remained level and serious as the moonlight helped to make him look all the more intimidating.

Morteum: Kol

Time: Night
Optional Read

The fact that O'ner Faister had not immediately reacted to the mass of dead bodies so close to his garden was telling. Kol stared at the undead general that barely maintained his demi-human form as his skin began to crack and crumble since emerging from the light portal that appeared so suddenly. Kol noted his blank stare and robotic demeanor and assumed the general's time of autonomy was over. He cared not for the reason. Aklenroth's will was absolute, and Kol was aware of his duty in this instance. To serve and accomplish his duty to the throne.

Zorrah raised an eyebrow at O'ner as his skin and flesh withered. It was dark, but mana-filled fog around the majority of the castle gave off a faint blue glow.

"Sucks… Oh, wait! Does this mean I can finally grow Zemak in the garden?! Oooh yes!" Zorrah exclaimed before vanishing in a puff of smoke. Like usual, Kol ignored her, and instead turned his attention to his guard force, maintaining a still box formation.

"Royal guard! File into the dining room!" He ordered before walking off towards the arrived undead general who was now nothing but bone and all that he wore. As if inspecting one of his own, Kol scanned O'ner from top to bottom. "Weapon and crystal." He stated as O'ner held out his adamantine magical staff in one hand and the locator gem in the other. "It seems the king has another purpose for you." He grabbed both items and proceeded to walk towards the castle. "And I'm sure another purpose for these as well."

Once the items were secured inside the castle armory, Kol made his way to the stationary solar box available close to Aklenroth's library, all so he could spread his message to dark elven leaders in Malthemoor and Azmor Galus. To remind the wavering and indecisive where their loyalty should lie. To inform his people that the military advisor to the throne, Kol Varanasi stood beside the king. And finally requesting implementation of immediate imprisonment or death to any traitors to the throne, dark elf or otherwise.

With Commander Dreadclaw deceased, and Aklenroth occupied with his mission, Kol felt that he should take the reigns of the Dark Elves if need be. For now, he would guide his people to the darkness. The only light they needed was what Halastra reflected down upon them.

Nur and Darius

Time: Night
Location: River Port, multiple locations
Interactions: Darius @FunnyGuy and Nur @Dreamingflowers
Ambiance: Lady of the night

Darius kept up his warm yet smug smile before presenting his hand to her.

"Darius the Daring thinks that is a wonderful idea!" And though he was playing around a bit, his statement was honest. He had been walking around town for the majority of the day. Come to think of it, he had gotten a lot of mileage today. "Allow me to escort you to my luxurious abode."

"Mmh..." Nur mused, taking his hand, a thoughtful look on her face.
"Luxurious you say? I will just have to see"

They took a more quiet route bordering the Seaside park. After a short walk they reached a residential area. The houses in River Port reflected the character of the town. Most were made of bricks, with wooden rooftops, painted in calming hues of blue and green. At first Nur didn't care much for the town. It was a nice change of pace to the larger cities she was accustomed to. It had its own kind of charm, something about it reminded her of the past, but she couldn't put her finger on it. It was a strange feeling, like a faded memory.

They approached a neighborhood which bordered a stretch of land. Rows of thin wooden structures supported the creeping stems of beans, underneath these poles, green sprouts of several root vegetables popped up. Most farmers had already retired to their homes for the day, two of them were fixing up a scarecrow.

"Almost there." Darius commented as lead the way. His crimson eyes focused on the black gated entrance to where he and Aklenroth had stayed. While Darius had been out gallivanting in River Port, Aklenroth made arrangements to secure a comfortable and secure property for a short period of time. The home was a comfortable and well-kept, three-bedroom, two-story home. Out front in front of the gate was a bed of white petaled flowers that looked far better in the moonlight than during the day.

"Here we are!" Darius announced with a slight squeeze of Nur's hand.

When the two reached the gate, Darius held it open for Nur to enter the property first. A brick garden path would guide her up to stone steps and to the front door with Darius trailing behind.

Nur loved being treated like a princess. The house looked adorable, she took in all of the details while she walked up the steps to the front door. It was built next to or maybe even around a neighboring tree. The succubus admired the white blooms bordering the entrance. She picked one, gently lifting the stem until it snapped. Nur looked at it more closely, inhaling the scent. It wasn't particularly strong or recognizable, yet still pleasant. She tucked the flower behind her ear.

"Let's go inside" She said with a cheerful smile, and in turn Darius guided Nur into the home. Placing a hand on a panel on the wall caused the light to illuminate throughout the first story of the home. He did the same as the two made their way up the stairs and to the bedroom furthest from the stairwell. As Darius illuminated the room, it was easy to tell it was not quite lived in yet. The covers on the bed were ruffled, the only sign that someone actually resided in the room.

"Not my typical room, but this isn't half bad, right?" He said as he removed his backpack and set it down near the foot of the bed.

Nur let her eyes wander around the room. It looked very cosy, all the usual necessities were there. Besides it was either this or go back to Haldir, so being picky wasn't on the menu. Even if things were a little plain, Darius's company would make up for it.

"It's cute..."

She walked from one end of the room to the other, opening the door to the bathroom and such, so she knew where everything was situated. The bathtub would certainly be graced with her presence later tonight. She wanted to wash off the fishy aroma which had undoubtedly caught in her hair or clothes, or worse still, both. With one last longing stare at the marble tub she returned to the bedroom. Darius had taken off his backpack.

What if she helped him some more?

The succubus swayed over to his side and took his hand again, pulling him towards the bed. She was careful not to tug on him too hard, he was a little drunk after all and not that steady on his feet. Nur sat down on the bed, tapping the place next to her.

"Want to relax a little bit?" She said, a cheeky smile on her lips. Nur took off her sandals and crawled onto the bed, sitting on her knees, waiting for Darius who met her gaze with a smile.

"Of course." He moved toward the bed with her, but stopped abruptly as he noticed the weight around his waist. The belt. He chuckled at himself briefly as he removed the leather utility belt and set it on top of the backpack. He was careful not to set it down on his instrument instead which he had removed while Nur was taking a short tour of the room. "Okay now I'm mostly ready." He sat down and started to remove his boots so he could enjoy the comfort of the bed. "There." He said as he freed himself from the boots and scooted back further onto the bed. There was a short moment of silence as he stared into her eyes.

Nur stared back into his red eyes, trying to see into the soul of their owner. He didn't have the familiar hazed look of desire she saw often. If anything he looked a little tired. They had done a lot though. He was probably out and about even before they met this afternoon. Not everyone slept in as late as she did. She got even closer to him, leaving only a pillow sitting between them.

"Are you enjoying the view?" She turned her head to the side with a smile, raising her brows, as if she was saying. Well, are you?

Nur's closeness seemed to pull at him to close the rest of the gap between them. This type of attraction was nothing new to Darius. If he was going to do anything, now was the moment... a moment to indulge.

"How could I not?" He said softly as he leaned in towards her. On course, he let his eyes slowly shut as his lips reached hers. Nur's eyes fluttered closed, feeling his lips touch hers. Her insides tingled and she kissed him back sweetly. She pushed him back gently without breaking their kiss, laying him down on the mattress. Reluctantly she stole away from his lips, keeping her face inches away from his.
"I think you should get some sleep" She whispered, their noses touching. Nur kissed his forehead and moved away from him. She spread out the blanket over his tall frame and fluffed his pillow.

A few minutes later....

Nur breathed in the night air, spreading out her arms and looking up at the moon. She felt great, invigorated. Things were working out perfectly. She had escaped Haldir, found a lead on the rebellion and had a new place to sleep, all in just half a day. If thing kept going like this, she would be in Alkenroth´s library in no time at all. She would find out how to get fix her condition and everything would go back to normal. The succubus made her way back into the port town.

Whatever should I do now?

The night was still young and full of possibility. Let's see here. She'd spent amas which hadn't been hers, played with men who weren't hers and went to places she wasn't supposed to. All things considered she had worked really hard today, maybe a quiet stroll couldn't hurt. Just a calm and uneventful walk through the town. The park would be the perfect place to start. She'd walked past it a couple of times, but hadn't paid much attention to it. It was the kind of place where lovers would steal away into the shadows for a hidden kiss. Her natural habitat.

Nur went down one of the trails into the park, enjoying the greenery around her. She followed the winding path, but after a while she began to be disappointed. There were barely any people out and about. Her lips pursed together in a annoyed pout. A flash of black shining armor caught in the corner of her eye. She held in her breath, and looked up at his face. Dark eyes, stalked the streets. It was Haldir.

She was about ready to pull out her precious hair in annoyance. The dark elf hadn't spotted her yet, and she took to the trees, hiding in the shadows. He was edging closer to the park. Nur lowered herself to the ground, feeling annoyed rather than scared. That all changed when she saw him heading straight to her hiding spot. The succubus covered her mouth, to silence the sound of her breathing. The dark elf stood still in contemplation, it looked like he was smelling something. Nur's eyes widened when she realized what it could be, the rose perfume Darius gifted her!

One day her vanity was going to get her killed. To her surprise he walked up to a rose bush, probably thinking the scent came from the blushed evening blooms. While she was on her knees she took the opportunity to thank the gods for this odd stroke of luck.

Bark after bark.... Bark after bark.... The barking did not stop and Darius could no longer tune it out. Groaning, he rolled out of bed and put on his clothes from earlier that day. He cursed under his breath, because despite hoping, the dog continued.

Once dressed, he made his way out the front door to find the same border collie that approached him earlier. The one with the cryptic advertising… Darius frowned at the dog and sighed as he kneeled down to pet him.

"A guy can't gett a little bit of rest? What do you have-… Oh, the paper again." Darius grabbed the drool-soaked paper and read it again. This paper must have been a second copy, because it wasn't completely deteriorated at this point from hours of slobber.

Meeting Hall tomorrow at 2

"Seriously? This is the same thing! Is this so important, that you found out where I was staying and barked at me while I was sleeping until I got out of bed?!" It was at that moment the light bulb clicked in Darius' head. His look of frustration slowly faded into one of thoughtfulness. Leon had a similar experience with a different dog. Went straight to him like this one did Darius. To Darius, two for two was simply a coincidence, but this dog meeting him now kind of counted as a third instance. A third instance of a dog delivering a slip of paper to a human. And if someone was seeking humans other than Aklenroth, it was likely the rebellion.

Darius tucked the paper into his pocket and gave the dog a few pats on the head.

"Count me there then." He said as he hoped Myra might be there, and maybe a few people to keep an eye out for. The dog barked, causing Darius to wince before chuckling. The border collie then out towards town from where it came. "Guess I gotta let Vaeril know." He reentered the rented out home to find paper and writing untensils before getting to writing.

You probably already know, but the rebels are meeting tomorrow at 2 in the meeting hall

Probably afternoon

Once the message was written, he headed up the stairs to the first room on right. The door was shut, so he simply slipped the note under Aklenroth's room door as he was not permitted to enter under any circumstances.

With the task complete, he contemplated how he might spend his night since he probably wouldn't fall asleep right away. He walked to his room, finally realizing that Nur was absent.

"I guess she left." He retrieved his portable solar box and figured he could configure and play with it for a few minutes before going to sleep. He had an early morning planned.

Surprised by her reaction, Myra looked at Sakura, tilting her head as she scolded her, whispering before she groaned in frustration, getting out from her hiding spot and changing her appearance again. Walking towards her, Sakura didn't seem to be all that happy with Myra, saying that she had to learn something. While Myra didn't know why she was hiding despite being in such a crowded place or why she was changing her appearance so many times, if she was angry because Myra didn't hide with her, then that could be solved quite easily.

Smiling to Sakura with an almost triumphant expression of someone who had figured out what she wanted, Myra nodded happily to Sakura after she talked, using her camouflage to briefly become invisible and then appearing back, still with a triumphant smile on her face. Surprisingly though, now that Myra understood what Sakura wanted, she decided to not hide herself anymore, instead simply walking towards the people she was hiding from earlier. Tilting her head, confused, Myra looked at Sakura for a bit before following her, simply walking and not trying to hide herself anymore.

As they approached the group, Myra could see that not only some of them were armed, but they seemed to be quite big and strong, some of them even being one of those big, scaly dragon-people Myra had seen a few times before. They also seemed to be rather vigilant of their surroundings. Maybe that was the reason why Sakura was hiding from them. Still, if they ended up being bad people, they could both just run away right?

The moment they got closer to the group though, the one that was flying landed just in front of them, asking who they were with a very intimidating posture and tone. While Myra didn't know how Sakura would react, she did feel threatened by his approach, which made her lower her posture a little bit, giving a step back and watching every movement he made very carefully, while giving glances every now and then to Sakura, waiting to see how she would react.

As evening set in and people were either heading to the bar or to their homes, a young lavender haired fairy flitted around the streets merrily. Her purple and blue monarch butterfly wings fluttered as she flew from lamp post to lamp post. She hummed a merry little tune as she created vines that crept up each lamp post, flowers blooming from them. She smiled as she examined her work, pleased with the pretty appearance. She did this every night, feeling that it made this little port town that much more welcoming.

She had heard the horn blare earlier and quietly went to check it out, concerned they were being attacked. It was merely a dragonborn, however, and she quickly left the scene to tend to her plants and decorations. Now she merely roamed the streets, not wanting to head home quite yet. The sight of her mother always broke her heart and she desperately wanted to find a way to help her. So here she was, roaming the streets and appearing busy as she tried to overhear conversations. Maybe someone would tip her off to the rebellion.

Time: Evening
Location: Odds & Ends ---> Healing Center
Interactions:@Helo@Potter
Outfit:Outfit from the Ball ---> New Outfit
Inventory:Sword that's sheathed, Bow and quiver of arrows. Then: 2 hankerchiefs, liquid body cleanser, wayfinder, toothbrush, travel-size hair and teeth cleansers, small round of rope, small amount of disinfectant and bandaging: all in a fanny pack that's facing behind him, hidden behind his cape.

Malachi had watched the group depart and got distracted for a mere moment when he noticed Myra speaking to a fairy. He watched curiously as she then followed another female after the group. Mathis was nowhere to be seen. He pondered for a moment before deciding they seemed fine. He could imagine what the group was going to discuss on the beach and knew they'd be in the general area. It was better to get back to Valok and Belle. However, he wouldn't return empty-handed.

He moved into the Odds and Ends store to buy some clothing. There was a feline demihuman who introduced herself as Hanai, whom Malachi thought was a bit too peppy for his current mood. He ended up selling his ball outfit, besides the cape, which amounted to 60 amas. He purchased one of the casual outfits for himself. She showed him to a dressing room in which he could change and proceeded to transfer his belt and equipment onto his new outfit once he had finished dressing. He wrapped his blue cape back around himself.

For Valok, he purchased him one of the casual outfits as well. Belladonna surely needed to change out of her overly fancy ball dress, so he decided to buy her a plain blue dress. The total came out to 110 amas for all three outfits, but since he had traded in his own clothing for 60, he was charged 50 amas.

Malachi took one more pit stop at the desserts shop where he had stopped in his tracks, seeing a dessert labeled as a blas bun. He smiled sadly to himself and decided to purchase two of them for Valok and Belladonna.

It took him a few minutes to return to the healing center, but he did. He moved into the room and moved his gaze between them, assessing their condition. "Clothes."He announced finally. Malachi moved and dropped each of their outfits on their beds. "Buns."He placed a bag with a blas bun on each of their side tables. He wasn't showing it, but he was excited to see them try the desserts. Malachi was sure at least Belladonna had never had one before.

"Get dressed and then try the buns. Don't get anything sticky. There's cloths to clean yourselves up with. We'll get an actual meal afterward. These are simply treats, not something to eat often and get large on." Malachi moved over to the fairies and quietly paid the 50 ama bill for them.

Aiko Yume

Time: Evening
Location: River Port Park
Interactions: Nur @dreamingflowers

The park was always so beautiful at this time of evening. The way the setting sun played through the foliage, the changing of the bird songs, animals and people going to bed, only for others to awaken. It was the time of day they usually felt the most awake. Right now, he was out for a stroll, and feeling awake enough. He was usually a sleepy person, though.

The presence of a dark elf interrupted his mental wandering. The individual was minding his own business, so Aiko ultimately decided to pay it no mind. Still, though, a dark elf. Here? They were far from the mountain and the castle. Just as he saw, in the shadows nearby... A woman, staring at the dark elf with great concern. And hiding. That simply wouldn't do, the woman was beautiful and he could only imagine why she was hiding from the dark elf.

Aiko turned to the elf, deciding to send him away. "Hail." Did that give away his age? "Enjoying the roses?" He gave a kind smile, and placed a hand lightly on the dark elf's shoulder, pointing him off into another area of the park. He attentively, subtly, brushed a thumb across some exposed skin by his neck, "the scents from that way are particularly pleasant, you should experience it. It might bring you good dreams tonight."

We'll see what that woman says. The commander took a moment to argue with himself before wandering off into the park, taking the advice. Aiko watched him walk off before deciding he was far enough and turning to the woman kneeling in the shadows, "hello? Was that guy bothering you?" The woman was absolutely stunning, but...

Where had he gotten this feeling before? It was familiar, but it had been so long, he couldn't... Remember... Ah well. Probably nothing.

Time: night
Location: River Port Beach

Valaeon @FunnyGuy, Valamiir @Alivefalling, Leon @Helo, Lucia @Potter and Myra @13org

Vaeril stood under the night sky at the beach on the waters edge staring into the water with a spell cast to show memories on the surface of the water. He could hear the giggles of his son as his wife spun around with him in the water, the sun glistening in the waves. Even though it was hundreds of years ago, it felt like he was back in that moment when they first brought Elyian to the beach.

Alaia’s smile had been so beautiful to behold and she had smiled a lot that day they had taken their son to the beach. The smell of salt was in the air and the warmth of the sun bathed their skin. She turned to glance over at him from his spot by the ocean’s edge and gave him that beautiful smile, Elyian in her arms. The young boy was giggling and so excited to be in the ocean for the first time. He splashed his hands in the water with joy as Alaia beckoned him to join them.

Aklenroth ran towards them and sat in the water beside his son, mimicking him by splashing the water as well and making funny faces and just enjoying the day. He was so happy to be with his family on his few days off. He tried so hard to be the best he could for his family. He took his Elyian in his arms and held him up in the air as he laughed. “Elyian! I didn’t know you could fly!” He waved him around a little like a bird.

“Papa let me down! I’m scared!”

Aklenroth pulled his little boy back in his arms and gave him a firm hug, “Don’t worry. Papa’s got you. You never have to be scared, Elyian. I’m always here to protect you.”

He looked back to Alaia,“I am so glad to have you and our son. You mean the world to me. I only want to help make Avalia a safe place for not only us but for everyone.” He stared into her icey blue eyes the same ones that sucked him in years ago he could be in that ocean forever he never wanted to leave. ”The sun will be setting soon I think we should head in and maybe I could treat you to two dinner a fancy one!”

Elyian’s eyes lit up at the mention of eating out. “I want lucky dips! I want lucky dips! I want lucky dips!” He cheered excitedly.

“Well honey I guess we know where we are headed.” Alaia told Aklenroth laughing and showing off her beautiful smile walking up to him to give him a kiss on the lips. “Eww! Mom!” He protested the kiss and giggled.

Together, they had walked away from that beach, his arm around his wife and son.

How he wished he could go back in time just to stay with them a little longer. Vaeril’s eyes brimmed with tears in that moment but as he heard the incoming footsteps of others joining the beach, he quickly wiped his eyes and stopped the spell. He glanced over at the voices to see Leon, Lucia, and many others joining. To his surprise, Sakura and Myra also ended up joining them. He had a lot of thoughts about this situation and decided to keep them to himself and observe.

Time: Evening
Location: River Port Healing Center
Interaction: @Helo Valok @Princess Malachi

Belle remained unresponsive to Valok, eyebrows raised. This man lived his life on orders. How irritating would that be? Valok didn’t live for himself, only for the next order and commander. Her heart strings tugged for him. She watched as he stood up and approached the fairies. When he returned and spoke, Belle couldn’t help but crack a rare smile. He hadn’t understood what she meant and she found it… entertaining. Wait, had he just made her laugh? Her eyebrows furrowed as a giggle escaped her. What was happening and why? This was gross. She sounded like those annoying fairies. Belle quickly became neutral once more and managed to smirk.

”That is something you and I can agree on,” She replied and added in a low tone for only him to hear. ”I’m not used to them.. More so Elves and Demis.” She said as the fairies brought them over the water. She turned to take the cup of water as she heard footsteps approach and saw Malachi. Belle took a sip and listened to his orders. It pained her inside to have to take them, although he was keeping her safe and protected.

Belle felt relief fill her when he announced they would have a proper meal. Still, she eyed the bun with curiosity and regretfully turned to the dress. She fought a grimace and remained silent. Next Belle quickly moved into another room to change and looked for a knife. Without regret, Belle cut the edges of it so the dress’ hem came to her knees. She couldn’t imagine if she was attacked how she would fight in this dress. Afterwards, Belle took the fabric edges and used it to pull her hair up into a messy bun and tucked Elleta’s necklace into the dress. When she returned, Belle offered Malachi another one of her rare smiles. ”Thank you.” It was the only thing she could manage to say.

Belle took her bun out of the bag casually, trying to envision it as a cinnabon. God, she could kill for one now. Trying to remain neutral, she hesitantly bit into it. Then her eyes widened as the honey and cinnamon flavor filled her mouth and she looked at Malach with wide eyes. Holy shit this is good. Remaining silent, she suddenly began wolfing it down. She was careful with the honey and used a nearby towel to wipe her fingers off. Belle couldn’t help but wonder if Valok had possibly had a point.
