Name: Chantara Saetang Age: 18 Grade: Senior Bio: Chantara had a relatively normal childhood; she never knew her mother, but doesn't really have an itching to seek her out, she had a stable, if slightly distant relationship with her father, and an older step-brother who Chantara still isn't sure she understands completely, despite growing up with him all her life.
Needless to say, with her reckless attitude, she fell in with a rough crowd of kids in her teenage years. Leaving that circle was hard for her to do, as cutting people out of your life can often be, but Chantara found that it was necessary. When she looks back at it now, Chantara can only fathom what would have happened if she never left. Appearance: Chantara is a petite southeast asian girl standing at only 5'2. She has tanned light brown skin, straight black hair, and dark brown eyes. She has wide hips for her stature but small chest. Her hair goes down past her shoulder blades. She dresses in a chic street fashion most of the time.
Personality: Chantara tends to be casual and lighthearted in most situations. She’s very outgoing and talkative, and isn’t picky about who her friends are. She’s a big fan of using humour to lighten the mood, but sometimes her carefree attitude can put her at odds with more serious types, who might find her to be superficial.
As much as she talks, she tends to calculate which words she uses carefully- making it difficult for others to catch her off guard or find any misinterpretations in her words (Unless she’s deliberately trying to get you to misinterpret what she’s saying). Getting her to be completely honest and open about deeper topics and emotions can be a challenge, as those conversations tend to make her feel uncomfortable and fenced in. However, she also realizes that conversations like that are necessary from time to time, especially if she wants others to trust her.
Gift:Innate Capability: Chantara can sometimes do things without having prior knowledge or experience with the subject at hand. Examples would include knowing how to fix a phone, pick a lock, perform surgery or anything else that would normally require prior experience or teaching beforehand.
Her aptitude is generally sporadic however, and most of the time the feelings are really just “hunches” felt in the moment. Once they pass she no longer understands how to do or perform the skills she exhibited while using her powers.
Bio: First-generation Norwegian-American, Kludd’s parents came to America shortly after earning their first college degrees. Brynhild went on to pursue a master's and doctorate, while Runar began working as a special education teacher at an elementary school. Although they hadn’t planned to have kids so soon, in the first year of her doctorate, Brynhild gave birth to Kludd and his twin Endre. Both children had congenital abnormalities, resulting in Kludd being born without the lower portion of one of his legs. From early childhood, it was very apparent that he was very intelligent though. He started reading very early on and loved going to school to learn. This attitude seemingly has never left, as he is an almost straight-A student in all advanced courses. Other than a busy schedule of schoolwork and extracurriculars, life was pretty normal. His family being Norse pagan, magic was always something familiar. But when he started to experiment with it personally, he was quick to discover that his sigils had a bit more of a visible effect. And thus his gift was uncovered.
Appearance: Standing at a full 6’10” and far from thin, Kludd is simply put, a massive human being. He has dark brown hair and pale blue eyes, and an average white person skin tone with lots of freckles. He has a below-the-knee prosthetic on one leg, but usually wears pants to avoid drawing attention to it. Generally, his style is mostly emo. He has several piercings, and also often lets his girlfriend (Chantara) paint his nails.
Personality: Kludd is a huge sweetheart, always being considerate of others. Especially his friends, who he is always willing to bend over backward to help out. Very intelligent, schoolwork and learning have always come easy to him. He tends to retain this info as well, but as for simple facts, those things can get lost on him. Where he put his keys, what day of the week it is, when his friends' birthdays are… All easily forgotten amongst the random trivial knowledge rattling around in his head. He is also a major worrier and often attempts to escape the reality of how bad the world is by working extremely hard on every little project he takes on. It's hard for him to relax and to sleep. He always feels a need to be doing something, his calendar always full. It's a constant struggle just trying to get him to take a break.
Gift: Sigil Creation- By drawing specific sigils, he can get a limited range of effects. The effect, duration, etc. are all variable. Generally, he has to test them out first to ensure they work as intended. Because of natural curiosity, he already has developed several, mainly wards or protection charms. Most sigils can be drawn on the skin in order to give certain boosts to a person. Or in part of a space to influence that. Generally, the more powerful an effect or longer duration, the more complex or larger the sigil must be, thus the more obvious it is or the longer it takes to draw.
Out of curiosity, and for logistics’ sake, are we pretending that Ash doesn’t exist anymore? Or at all in the first place? I can work with whatever, just wanted to be clear on the plan moving forward. :D
