IC Posts should be something like:

<Blah blah post writing stuff>

IC Posting should be of intent and not result (GM posts are for that). "I go to build a hut" or "I go hunting" instead of "I built a hut" or "I hunted a deer". GM posts will decide the outcome of your actions depending on skills of you and your gang which means you can fail at something if you don't have any skills in it. Some actions (like building a large construction) might take multiple turns.

Focusing on your Main Focus will of course speed up that one thing and doing more things at once can slow you down but it might be benifical to juggle multiple projects at once with a large enough group.

More info will be added here as need.

1 Turn = 3/4 Days. Goblins need 1 unit of Food and Drink per turn or they begin to starve. Four turns without food and two turns without drink will kill a goblin by starvation.

Time flows much faster in this RP and uses a Rimworld-based system of 4 seasons that are 15 days long resulting in a 60 day year. With each turn being 3 to 4 days, this means each season is 4 to 5 turns and a whole year is 16 turns minimum and 25 turns maximum (This gap is to allow wiggle room for more packed events like battles or other things). This is dramatically faster than trying to do it day by day and relying on timeskips. People age normally with this reduced year, a 60 year old in this world is still going to be like a 60 year old irl.

Tools are a catch-all name for any tool (hammer, axe, hoe, etc) used in some work. They are a gameplay simplification. Assume that if someone is using a tool, its the tool they need even if someone else who just used it used it for something else (IE you are using 5 tools as hammers but the person before you had used them as 5 axes). Imagine they're magical goblin swiss army knives on sticks.

According to ancient myth, when the first goblin was born, he looked for a home. The Dwarves said he was too weak willed to survive underground, away from the sun. The Elves said he was too crude to live in their forests of elegance in their treehouse villages. The humans said they were too uncouth to live within their high walls. And the Orcs said the Goblins were too small to survive their harsh badlands home. So, turned away from a home for not being enough, he pleaded with the Gods to make him worthy of a home. For seven days and seven nights he prayed to the heavens and on the final day, the first goblin was granted a boon.

The Gods told him he would never be strong enough to live underground like the Dwarves, he would never been graceful enough to live in trees like the Elves, he would never be refined enough to live like Humans and he would never be big enough to live like Orcs. But he and his descendants would be able to survive anywhere they wished for the Gods had granted them an ability that triumphed over all the others: Adaptability.

Now the Goblins of Clawcrest find themselves like their mythical ancestor, expelled from their home by an army of ancient and terrible monsters. Those lucky few who escaped their wraith fled into the wilderness, leaving behind all they had known. Now, finally free from the gaze of the monsters, a group survivors find themselves in a woodland clearing within the forest called "Shipslaughter" with meager provisions but a legacy of survival behind them.

He hadn't uttered a single word the entire way there, into the woods of Shipslaughter far from the claws of fearsome beasts and the eyes of those who would seek to bring them ill fortune.

Twig, the Green-Eye walked ahead of his four companions in relative silence for a good portion of the trek throughout their journey, until they finally reached their destination deep within the darkness of the forest beneath the great trees and their abundant canopys of leaves which blotted out the sun in some places on the forest floor.

Stopping abruptly he turned on his heel to face the other goblins, his green eyes passing their gaze over each of them as if weighing judgement upon them. After a moment he nodded to the two goblin leading their animals, of which were a couple of wolves that quietly padded along with their handlers as their eyes flashed upon looking around with their predatory eyes and sniffed the air.

"Take the beasts on a hunt, take knives to skin felled prey." the fair skinned goblin said in a soft lilting tone "We need hides to provide warmth in times to come, and food to fill our bellies. Good luck." and with that he sent both Kire and Sardic with the wolves to hunt while light still breached the canopy above. They took two goblinite knives from amongst their supplies and went out with their beasts to track prey in the woods.

Leaving only Ghim and Baoch with Twig, the green-eyed goblin vacantly motioned the two to follow him as he walked towards a tiny clearing "This area will serve as our grove from which we will cultivate our herbs, as I know you both are versed in it's practice." he told them in a matter-of-fact tone "First we must cultivate the soil and clear the area for growth." and with that said Twig went to a supply cart and took a couple spades from the wheelbarrows, handing the tools out to both Ghim and Baoch.

Fleet-Foot Rangers

Losing their home and people was devastating. The threat of never-before seen monsters had been unexpected and had nearly decimated them all. The escape had been grueling, but at least a few of them made it out alive. Mint preferred not to think on that past – it was enraging and frustrating. It was better that she – and those three who’d gathered under her leadership – made sure that the survivors’ path forward was clear. Scouting ahead had enabled them to find a safe way, all the while evading any possible pursuers at their flanks.

Finally, they ended up in a woodland clearing, safe – for now. “Alright, everyone, my group and I are going to take a look around. We’re taking a bow and arrows, spear, and a couple of knives for now,” Mint announced. With their limited tools and supplies, arranging who used which tool when could be quite the hassle, honestly. Generally, they were able to agree on short-term use by any one groups or individual, though, since they all had survival in mind. A common goal; Mint did not delude herself that such a state would be everlasting, however. But such considerations were for later; right now, they needed to get the bare bones basics down.

“We’ll pair up; Paran, you’re with me. Vari and Olom, you two go together and take the weapon. First things first, we need to find out as much about the area we can. Sources of water, food, the works. If you can, get some supplies. Hunt some small game, if you can,” this last was addressed to Vari and Olom. “The two of will also try to gather some herbs. Paran, you’ll have to be on the lookout for anything useful, since I’m not good at recognizing plants,” she said. “Any questions?” she looked at her group as she asked.

“Not more than a couple hundred paces or so, right?” Vari sought to confirm.

“Yep, that should work. If you sense anything too dangerous, though, retreat. If there’s an emergency, give a whistle, you know the one,” Mint answered.

Then, with the matter settled, the four goblins departed from the clearing, each pair in another direction. Mint and Paran headed north and would circle to the west after a while, while Vari and Olom headed south and would eventually switch to the east. For their pair, Mint took the lead, eyeing the most optimal path, with the aim to get a general outlook of the forest. She trusted Paran to seek out any herbs. For the other pair, Vari was the lead and carried the knife, while Olom would search for any small game.

Bizz glanced around the woodland clearing, as if finally getting his bearings after the last few days of desperate escape. The sun was shining, the background noise of the forest evoking a pang of curiosity from the hooded, roguish goblin. Folks were up and about. Mint was already listing off orders to her rangers. She was always an industrious one. And she always had a heart for exploring. And Bizz? Bizz was more about swiping things off windowsills, clotheslines, robbing stray travelers blind. And in that business he was the busiest, yes he was. But now the thief and his buddies were in a different sort of situation. Thievery would wait. They needed to survive first.

The thought made Bizz frown. He scratched his head. "Umm.." His three accomplices waited expectantly. "Whatcha lookin' at me for?" He crossed his arms. "Delga, remember that shit-hovel you made back in Clawcrest? It was cozy! Do that again. Scika, go and help her."
"Help her, Bizz? How?"
"I dunno, you're the great organizer here, aren't ya? Go get some sticks or something! Yeah, sticks. Cause it'll get colder soon and we'd need a campfire. And give Delga some tips, too. You always have good ideas, Scik."

Bizz turned to Chaz. "You and I could go and look for food. You might catch a squirrel, just don't put it on my head like last time. And I could try and find some berries. If these parts are anything like.. home.. there might be something edible." Bizz said. He turned to look at the others. "Anyone wants to join us in the search for food?"

A new home and new hope are all that Iron Guts had with him. Clawcrest is no longer, eaten by the hordes of monsters that rest below. Most, if not all, Clawcrest goblins are wandering refugees or either eaten by the victors. For Iron Guts, he managed to gather a very small gang of goblins and fled to parts unknown. Either by luck or the blessing of the gods, Iron Guts found a small base of his own kin from Clawcrest with supplies. That was one day ago. It was very clear that most of these goblins had no one skilled in the area of command or fighting. Lucky for them, Iron Guts was a talented military commander. Of course, Guts does not command armies anymore and just has a few goblin soldiers to his name.

Waking up from his dirt bed, Iron Guts had a long day ahead of him. “What to do,” Iron Guts thought to himself. Guts stood by himself, going through his inner-thought process. Most of his kin would likely be focused on getting the basics done. Shelter, food, and likewise. His gang is all filled with soldiers. Only Charag and Sebra had civil skills. Charag had knowledge of goblin god myths, and Sebra was a decent hunter. Here is what I will do. Kitsgash and Charag will stand guard while Sebra hunts down food. That sounds good. But what about me? Well, I’ll have to tell my gang to do their duties first but what after? Of course, I’ll have to do something. If anything, I’ll just also stand guard. Who knows what dangers that these woodlands will bring. Clawcrest was infested with monsters and the wildness is likely no different. Sadly, there is not much here. All we got is some spears, clubs, and crappy short bows. I guess those will have to do.

Iron Guts breaks out of his inner machinations and takes a few short steps into Sebra’s tent. He pokes his head in. “Wake up, sleepyhead. Meet me in front of the camp,” Guts raises his voice. Iron Guts quickly pulls his head away from the tent and goes to Kitsgash’s tent. He does the same. Charag is no different. Before long, all of the Green Spears are awake and now stand before their lead commander.

“Kitsgash and Charag, you two are on guard duty. Go get your equipment,” Guts says with an authoritative voice. Iron Guts then turns his attention to Sebra.

“You’re on a hunting duty. Go get your arrow and bow and kill some meat for us. Got it?” Guts say as Sebra nods. The goblins rush out of sight of the commander, likely to get their stuff for the day ahead.

As for Guts, he goes to the stockpile shortly after, grabs a spear, and stands with Kitsgash and Charag on overwatch.

"Do you know any of them?" Ra asked, pointing his pickaxe toward one of the goblins. She wear a wolf pelt on her head, and wolf fangs as jewerly. Her eyes shine like emerald in the dark cave, a dark green that pierce the void. The wolf packs surrounded her consists of the largest wolves Ra had ever seen, and yet they comply to her whim as if they were dogs from the beginning.

With a mouthful of smashed berries, Pakrez doesn't even need to look up to see who Ra was pointing at. Years of working together under the mine create some stupid things called "coooperation."

"Twig... She like wolves. Treated them as her own. Kinda like some druid some sort." He paused, grumbled as he picked a hair of something from his mouth, unmistakenly from those dogs. "Herd that she raised them wolves from her blood. Explained why she doesn't have a mate yet and those dogs so damn smart."

"How about them?" Ra asked, pointed at the loudmouth who just announced everything she planned to the whole clan, if this whole bunch of ragtag can be even call as "clan".

"OOOh. OOh.I know I know." Said the squeaker of the trio.

And with a smile so wide that it almost cut his head in half, Ra patted the girl that seated next to his rock, who seems to be so enthusiastic in answering something so insignificant.

"Sure, your turn, little one."

"First of all, Me not small." She puffed, "second. the loud mouth you just pointed at is my model."

"Oh, is that so?" Parkez chimes in, interested at this so called "model" that suddenly sprung up in the convo.

"Yah, she is pretty..." Slakk paused, scratching at her bald spot near the crown, a sign of her embarrasment. For some reason, the girl was born with this hair that is mostly straight until it curled near the end. The elders joke that she has "worms hair" and apparently she was being picked upon by her peers for that. In an attempt to fit in, she would plucked her hair from its root as the new hair would become straight if you pluck the worms hair out. Well, there is a reason she joined mine. And she used wear a wool headgear, or a miner cap on her head. Sadly, both of those were gone on their escape.

"iwanttolearntobelikeprettylikeher." The mosquito answered

Spotting the unease in her voice, Ra tried to divert his attention to other gobbo, asking about their informations. For the first time, Pakrez did not know everything despite his reputation as an evesdropper, and Slakk shakes her head so many time that she decided to fall asleep during the day.

"Welp, look like we down to two." Ra said before picking up his pickaxe and started to search around for a cave before disappearing into the woods, leaving Pakrez and sleeping Slakk behind.

"You coming?" The voice asked, and Pakrez simply followed, letting Slakk behind, deep in her own bubble.

Spring 01 - End

There was an initial burst of excitement and optimism at the chance to start anew. Any ties the goblins had to their old lives could be considered cut, burnt, or buried under several dozen pounds of rubble. There were here alone now in Shipslaughter, named so for its clearings and a result of loggers cutting trees for marine ships. By the time night fell, all of the members and gangs regrouped at the original clearing to share their days and make idle chatter.

Spring 2 - Start

The night was gentle and the goblins were able to rest up in their makeshift shelters. In the morning, food rations are dolled out by the now empty camp fire that had burnt out during the night. Reports of elephants are shared once more and Charag feels particularly vindicated. Food stocks will only hold for a little bit longer as will the water. Some are debating the merits between trying to move the camp towards the southern river or to simply have water carriers refill their current barrels with river water. (Can talk about it OOC before doing anything IC)

Awaken by the chill breeze that brushed through his ears, Ra wake up from his slumber. And while the day has start with a hazy mist in the far corner, Ra was not in any mood to strike a convo today. His sleep was the not good. He woke up at least 3 times over the duration of his sleep, either in fear of an attack, or just because of the unevenness of the ground that kept him changing his posture every ten minutes or so.

And with a little wince, Ra twisted himself, hearing the moaning of his skeletal as he got himself out of bed. He didn't know how long they could have last in the wild. Maybe three days? A week? A month? But one thing for sure, he probably won't move if he kept sleeping like this.

Didn't we just found some rock by the river yesterday? Ra thinks to himself before waking up Slakk, only meeting with a weak resistance and a near-death "Iknowiknowiknow" complain. If anything, they could start there. There are only two or at most three sides they need to worry about if they decided to hug the river. Besides, the ground over there should be much easier to dig compare to here. Maybe they can set up a fishing dam or something near the river.

It took about half an hour for the majorities of the goblins to wake up from the sleep, save for those who were on guard yesterday. And with the decreasing food, clean water, and just a good sleeping spots for these old bones, Ra decided to start up their debate from yesterday.

"Look, I think we need to move to yesterday's spot. The near river one." He said, addressing the supposed leaders of each faction. Behind him on his right, Palek was picking his nose. Just by looking at his shoulder movement, Ra could tell what this idiot is doing behind his back. The barbar must be picking his nose. Half of his index finger must have entered his left nostril. Wait, he is gonna eat it.

Yep... What a bunch of bollocks.

"Look, we need a better ground than this." Ra pointed at the unevenness of the ground, the formation of tree roots, dead branches, bird feces, droppings, and elephant footprints on the ground. "We need water. We need an easier, more defendable location." He stopped, trying to read the expression of each leader. Their emotions are unclear, especially from the druid. She and her dogs are the stronger here. The militarists are a tad easier, but a smudge easy won't give Ra the support he needed.

"And this... This won't cut it for us. So, we vouched for resettlement near the River. There are boulders near there that we can make a defense. Not a proper wall but should be something..." The group was still young, and perhaps the optimism from finding his own clan has made Ra weak, but that doesn't mean he put his group's survival beneath the clan. All he gave them was his standing. Now it's their turn.
