Plot & Character Interests
Hi there, Lo here. Avid role player and your friendly neighborhood degenerate at your service. I'm on my third decade refusing to expire now and I enjoy bad movies, loud music and old video games. I've been role playing on and off for over a decade now and my experience has run the gamut from tabletop RPG's to online forum based stuff like what we got here. I'm a pretty easy going guy if not a bit of a crass edgelord. To some I might come off as slightly nihilistic but I'm simply of the mind that nothing and no one should be taken too seriously and I tend to poke fun at anything or anyone who does. I have a somewhat dry sense of humor but don't worry, I usually won't make any school shooting jokes around you until I know you can hang. On the whole though I usually give what I get from folks. If you are nice and considerate with me, I will be with you. But if you act a fool, expect ridicule.
What I'm Looking For
I'm generally fairly flexible when it comes to role playing and may be willing to compromise on any of the bullet points listed below. But one thing I absolutely have no time or patience for is bullshit of any stripe. If you're not feeling our RP at any point, tell me so. Don't ghost me. Communicate with me, and I mean really communicate. Tell me what you like, what you don't like and help me get a feel for what you wanna see in our story. Don't just tell me what you think I wanna hear, that's not fair for either of us. If you think you can manage that much everything else is negotiable. Let me know you understand this by including my lucky number nine at the beginning of your message if you decide to DM me. Now, on to the not so long awaited list of things I'd like to request.
Keep in touch
I understand that life happens sometimes but I really would appreciate it if you didnt leave me hanging. It's rather discouraging when a partner goes silent on me for weeks on end and I have no idea why.
No god modding
I've never had any run-ins with this sort of things but all the smoke I've seen in other people's RTs suggests there are at least a few fires out there. So to cover my ass here, don't write for my character's thoughts or any major actions, period. If you wanna have my character do something benign like follow yours down the street or notice something strange or eye catching, that's fine. But I'll probably just drop the plot if you try and puppet my mains. With that said, I often include side characters in my plots and my hands off policy is incrementally less strict with them depending on how important they are to the plot.
No one liners
It's just no fun for me when I give my partner a steak and they feed me peanuts in exchange. Ideally I'd like at least three full and detailed paragraphs per response from my partner but I'd be fine with a measly one if its engaging. Remember, role plays are a two way street. And if were aren't both enjoying the other's writing then why waste our time.
Build the story with me
Almost every role play I've ever been in has had me playing the role of DM. I control the world, the people and am expected to drive the plot while my partners simply react. While I dont mind this, if you really wanna grab my attention, then take me for a ride once in a while. Drive the plot, develop the world and fill it with interesting goodies right alongside me. Don't leave me with all the heavy lifting and our chances of a long a fruitful RP go up exponentially.
Quality over quantity
Now you might be thinking to yourself, "no one liners? Pffft, I got this!" Well hold on there sport, while It's true that most folks don't really dig one liner role plays. Personally I'm not really interested in post length for the sake of post length. Needless filler and fluff are just as boring for me as a one liners. I'd rather my partner write well then just write a lot. Wordplay, visceral imagery, banter, lore and world building. These are the things I like to see. Not padding by way of repetition or entire paragraphs dedicated to detailing your character's outfit.
Kink, blood and strangeness
While my primary focus is and will usually always be a good plot and character development. Three things I absolutely adore in my role plays are kinky sex, brutal violence and anything odd or obscure. The more detail involved, the better. So why not go crazy with me? Wanna make your character a shape shifting, gender fluid creature from the depths of the ocean who likes to tie mine up and [the following descriptor has been deemed a war crime and redacted] leaving him panting on the slab covered in all kinds of gooey stuff? Oh yeah! Marry me! Can you paint a vivid picture of a brutal murder scene or an unspeakable creature ripping its prey apart? Go for it! And if you can come up with something that makes me go "huh, don't see that everyday." I'll probably keep you forever! You have been warned!

What You Can Expect
I'm online just about every day. But I may or may not post daily. Writing is a hobby for me and it's just one of many. Sometimes my interests will just drift elsewhere. But I will never ghost you. I hate when that shit happens to me and, as they say, you gotta be the change you wanna see in the world. That said, I can usually do multiple replies per day if I'm really invested in the plot. Or just really boared. My replies are multi paragraph, ranging anywhere from between 2 to 5 with my average response length being somewhere in the middle but like I've said, I'm of the mind that quality trumps quantity and I won't sit there and grind out needlessly long posts unless I feel like I have something interesting going on in them. With smut I have almost no limits and will go out of my way to accommodate each and every one of your favorite fetishes in as much detail as possible so long as they aren't on the short short list of stuff even I'm not into. I'm most in my element playing male characters but can play female and other types with the right partner so don't hesitate to ask if that's what you're into.
Plot & Character Interests
So who doesn't love a good plot? No one, that's who! There is little I enjoy more than a good character driven story and even when it comes to heavy smut I always make sure to have something going on other than the naughty stuff to drive things forward. But my ideal role play is one where I can truly immerse myself. I wanna laugh and cry with the characters. I wanna forget they're just words on a screen. I wanna be thinking about their story at all hours of the day. My best case scenario is a story I can obsess over like a madman. I adore horror, fantasy, sci-fi, and pretty much anything that breaks from the mundane. Also, I have a huge weakness for a good romance plot. But good characters can suck me right into pretty much any setting at all. The characters are my favorite part of any story. Their trials and tribulations, how they grow through their experiences and what drives them on? Oh yeah baby! That's my jam right there. I love complex and sympathetic villains, troubled heroes and pretty much anything as far as supernatural types go. But I'm fairly lukewarm on the idea of fandoms. I wanna see your character, not your interpretation of someone else's, no offense. If you can bring a good measure of charisma to the table you might be able to suck me into a fandom setting but on the whole I just prefer full creative freedom both for myself and my partner which is why I don't really get down with boxing myself into pre established characters and worlds someone else wrote.
