@Omega Man Yeah I was leaning toward Drive the most, myself. Taking what was originally a Police-style Rider and spinning that into something Government-related seems the simplest and easiest route to take.

On that note, my idea currently is for the Rider to have been developed by Biolabs (or perhaps a more dedicated weapon manufacturer that is possibly partnered or merged with Biolabs). The intention is to *eventually* roll out a standardized version of the Rider powers usable by all members of the Silver Guardians. But for the moment, it's still only a prototype. Yes, Biolabs has access to the Quantum Morpher and at least one Chrono Morpher, so it seems to make a certain amount of sense that they developed this as result of studying and reverse engineering them over the years. There's no Zord, because the current consensus is that the Silver Guardians don't really need any as they were intended to deal with ground level threats (anything larger than that can be dealt with by the Quantum Ranger and Q-Rex). So instead of a Zord, it instead comes with a highly advanced pursuit vehicle (the car from Drive) that, similar to the belt/powers is a prototype intended to be later standardized/mass produced.

You might need to go into more detail, but a cosmic thief could be our 6th Ranger or be the reason the 6th Ranger was off world at the beginning of the RP.

@Double @Duthguy I'll get a CS model up sometime tonight for everyone. Once we figure out who everybody is character and archetype wise I'll fill in spots where needed with NPC's. I figure this new Machine Empire would have a way of tampering with the Grid to imprison people in it, and that's where my VR Trooper and his teammates and a few Rangers have been. They had a 'Power Grid' in VR Troopers, and I was just gonna explain it like their Grids [the Troopers and Rangers] are actually one and the same.

You guys all showed interest in my last MMPR rp a few years back so I figured I'd give y'all a shout since this ones a little more broader range. I'm trying to get a group of at least 5 for this and figured the addition of Masked Riders and VR Troopers might pull some of you in. Or hell even if somebody wants to play new Machine Empire roles and operate the villains that'd be pretty sweet too.

Speaking of The Grid, do Riders tap into it as well? I've blocked Saban's Masked Rider from memory so I don't recall if anything of the sort was explained there.

@Double I don't think so but I've been plenty wrong before. I'd have to go back and watch a few eps on YouTube to be certain. All I remember is the more sitcom approach and the weird walking platypus Firby looking thing called Ferbus. LOL

And I didn't know other Riders showed up in the last episodes till like a year ago but all their names were wrong. Those eps will probably have the Grid/No Grid info...

BRIEF Bio:

When Caitlin decided superheroics wasn’t for her and pursued a career in tv journalism, Ryan and JB buckled down as the only two remaining VR Troopers. After Caitlin helped expose Carl Ziktor he seemingly went into hiding but in fact changed his appearance and assumed the identity of Cyrus Ryker and took over Ziktor Industries. Still exposing cracks in the dimensional barriers, Ryker found new allies in the Machine Empire and trapped JB in the Grid. After studying the Grid for a few years Ryan thought he figured out how to rescue JB despite Prof. Hart’s concerns. Ryan found JB’s body in the Grid as well as a machine man called Cykon who merged with the human to save his own life.

After an unknown amount of time passed, the now half machine Ryan came into contact with several Power Rangers as well as the conscience of Alpha 5 all trapped in the Grid by Grimlord. When they were all freed by the 6th Ranger and the Masked Rider, Ryan was shocked to find out Tao’s Dojo was no more after returning to Crossroad City. The Troopers’ HQ was also wrecked by the Machine Empire, Jeb the talking dog was dead and decomposing, and Prof. Hart was now a disembodied voice within the hidden lab. After upgrading his armor and biomechanical body parts, Ryan rejoined the remaining Rangers and the Rider to take down the Grimlord/Machine Empire Alliance.

Kinda went ham with what happened to the other VR Troopers but I can adjust it if somebody wants to be a Trooper.

So I've decided to play as the sixth ranger. Just a few questions while I work on my character sheet. I noticed that you're playing a canon, does my character have to be a canon ranger, or can they be wholly original? Also the ranger team is essentially just the original Mighty Morphin? If so am I limited to their set colours, or can I go crazy? I kind of want to play an orange ranger. Just wanted to get these questions cleared up before I make a character sheet.

Generally the 6th Rangers are special in one way or another. Even though the core team is loosely based on the classic MMPR you've got more freedom to do your own thing with the 6th. Doesn't have to be white or green, an Orange Ranger could work. Just still make them have a dinosaur theme.

Weapons don't matter as much, though we likely won't have the combining of 5 weapons to make a super weapon like some of the PR shows tend to do.

@Omega Man Real life and personal issues kept me from participating in the previous RP's, but this....this is potential.

Do you think there would be a possibility for me to create a sort of legacy VR Trooper. I would even be open to cooperate with you on it, basically have Ryan pick up an apprentice is what my idea boils down to.

@Nightwing95That could definitely work, but I'm not sure if this one's going to move forward. Throw a sheet together though and we'll see what we can do with it if everybody else is still interested.

EDIT: We've got sheets for my Trooper and a 6th Ranger at this point.
