Runa turned bright pink as Astrid nodded at her, thanking her for joining them. Runa mumbled something incoherent, trying to say you're welcome but what came out was more youecme. She turned her attention to the elevator doors, trying not to take too many peaks at the Valkyrie. She had never seen someone more beautiful, kind, or courageous before. It made her heart stop beating, standing this close to Astrid. And she didn't dare let Astrid know that she made her feel this way. The thought of being so vulnerable... it was more terrifying than dying. She also didn't want Klara or Nadia to know about her feelings - especially not Klara. Klara was a bit obsessed with love.

But then, the universe decided for something even more terrifying to happen. The elevator stopped and they were plunged into darkness, having not even made it to the 100th floor. Runa could hardly breathe. She'd never been claustrophobic before, but the terror of being trapped in here - of attempting to force open the doors only to be cut in half, of the elevator dropping into a free-fall and every bone in her body breaking on impact... It was enough to make Runa sick. She stumbled backwards in the dark, har hands clammy and sweaty. "... I can't breathe..." she choked out, her heart beating out of control.

"It seems we will have to be waiting then." Lara tapped her foot a bit at that point as they waited for the elevator to come back down. She did frown a bit as the elevator just stopped and flicked off. That didn't seem right to her, as the hotel was pretty magically powered, so why would just the elevator stop, but everything else seemed to be working. "Odd, but yes, let's try another one." She followed Nadia and then hit the button for another Elevator at that point.

Astrid noticed how Runa responded when she had said thank you to the other woman. She wasn't quite sure why Runa was acting like that, but she did have other pressing concerns on her mind. Her expression formed into a frown as the elevator just stopped there, right between the two floors and then she watched the power cut off as well. "This isn't normal, and I doubt that this is normal for here. We should try to get out of here then. I'll give you a lift to the top."

Lara hit the button and then paused a bit as she looked over to the frozen elevator at that point. "Isn't that the elevator the others were in? Do you think they're stuck there?" She didn't like the fact that one of the elevators seemed to be out of service while the others were still working. "Do you think we should tell someone about this?"

Astrid knelt down to offer Dalisy a boost and then stood up fully to lift her towards where the hatch was located, and made sure to stand stead so that Dalisy could open it. She stood there, supporting the demi-god until she heard Runa faintly talk. She paused and wanted to help the other woman but she was currently supporting Dalisy. "Hey, Arnora, could you check on Runa please? I'd do it myself but I'm in the middle of something."

Klara was fairly silent as the elevator started to go upwards to the floor that they were after, floor 100, when the elevator suddenly jolted to a stop in between floor 99 and 100, which was not a good thing. Much like Arnora, she wondered how common an elevator breaking down was, since the modern elevator was definitely newer than what they used to have operating in the hotel, so she wasn't too sure how well they worked. The answers that were given with response to that question weren't exactly too helpful, or great really, considering how things were going for them.

"Well, before what we have now we had something fairly similar. These are modern elevators, but as far as I know, this sort of thing have been used as far as I can remember. They just were powered by people or animals or something as opposed to electricity. But they were fairly similar, and good thing too, not sure how many people would be fine using stairs for all eternity or whatever," she commented with a shrug. Her attention was drawn away rather quickly by Runa, who seemed to be panicking. "It'll be alright Runa..." she said rather softly to her.

"Lets try and see if we can help out first before we try and look for help." Nadia said as the elevator came to a stop a the lobby, and Nadia quickly got inside of it. Once Lara was in Nadia pressed 100 as the elevator started to rise up, she leaned back listening to the elevator music starting to play as they ascended. "Hopefully it's some sort of malfunction and nothing to serious." Nadia said, she had been in an elevator once breaking down she ended up spending about an hour or so in it before help actually came.

They were able to get up to the 100th floor without any kind of issue, as soon as the door opened Nadia started to head down the hallway, luckily it was some more residences over something else. Though she paused for a moment seeing a room that was marked as an 'arcade' room, sometimes there was some sort of recreational thing on floors like there's. Lara would notice a bloody handprint on the door that led into the room however. Nadia would also notice a small group of five or so Einherjar waiting for the elevator that had broken down with the others inside.

Arnora looked towards Dalisy asking what they had in place for elevators back then, she thought for a moment it felt like forever ago really she had been here since the viking ages. "Just a bunch of ladders and stairs I believe." Arnora said giving a slight shrug as Klara answered her own question since she had been dead since the sixteen hundreds. She listened to Astrid and nodded as she looked towards Runa who looked like she was having a panic attack of sorts.

Arnora turned towards Klara while Astrid and Dailsy were trying for the hatch in the roof she hoped that they'd be able to get out and handed her axe towards Klara. "Try the door if you can, you can use my axe to pry the door open if you want to." Arnora said before kneeling down in front of Runa and gently reached for her friend's hand in a comforting way. "It's okay Runa, we'll get out of here in no time." Arnora said trying to reassure her.

"Thanks, Astrid." Dalisy said before climbing up the Valkyrie. It was a little awkward since it was dark, but hey, it was better than waiting to be rescued. Something Dalisy couldn't stand the idea of. "It if helps Runa normally if there is going to be a critical failure like that it would have happened right away instead of just hanging out." Dalisy tried to sound reassuring, "Also when I'm upset I just punch things. If you want to punch me, when I get off Astrid here I'd be happy to let you."

Dalisy reached around on the ceiling of the elevator before she found a lever. "Perfect, found the hatch lever." She told everyone. It was best to give them an idea of what was happening since seeing in the dark wasn't most people's forte. She pressed against the hatch, but it seemed jammed. "It's stuck. Sorry, Astrid. I'm gonna try to get it open." She was putting a lot of pressure on Astrid and she didn't want the girl to be surprised by her struggling. It took a couple of tries but she was able to get it open.

"Got it!" She tried to pull herself up, but slipped and fell. She landed on the floor of the elevator and cursed in Tagalog. She wasn't fluent in the language, at least not in this reality, but cursing was universal. "Well the hatch is open. How is prying open the door coming?"

Everyone had tried in different ways to help Runa calm down with varying degrees of success. It was probably for the best that Astrid wasn't the one helping her out - she was already freaked out enough, she didn't need her crush helping her through a panic attack, she'd probably just panic more. Dalisay's words weren't reassuring at all, largely because of that salient usually. Usually people came back from the dead in this hotel. Usually wasn't happening anymore.

Runa was trying her best to keep her breathing even, as much as her lungs felt like she was running a marathon while being chased by a pack of werewolves. Squeezing Arnora's hand helped ever so slightly. Thinking about how at any second the elevator could drop and plummet to the first floor did not. She shrieked slightly as Dalisay crashed onto the floor of the elevator, proclaiming that the hatch was open. They were all doomed. They were all going to die - again.

Lara nodded at what Nadia said and then smiled a bit at that at that as they waited for the elevator. Once they arrived, she got in and then leaned up against the wall a bit as the elevator went up. She listened to the music as well for a moment before tuning it out. "I do hope that it is nothing serious." She looked up at the dial counted up to the floor they wanted to get up to before they got to the 100th floor and she got out with Nadia and started looking around.

"No problem Dalisy." Astrid smiled a bit at that as she truly had no problem holding the other woman up, as she was stronger than she looked sometimes, especially with her upper body strength. She was a bit glad that everyone else had stepped up to help Runa, as she was trying to focus more on Dalisy and keeping her up there. When Dalisy told her that it was stuck she simply nodded. "No worries, I got you. I don't mind if you put more pressure on my shoulders." Astrid did adjust her grip to hold Dalisy up, and then she waited.

Lara looked around the 100th floor and paused a bit as she realized that it was residences and a room that was marked 'Arcade.' She knew what they were but had never really gone to one herself inside the hotel. She did notice the bloody hand print there and narrowed her eyes a bit at that. "Hey Nadia, did you see this?" She didn't want to say aloud what it was as she noticed the group waiting for the elevator as well. She was still worried as it looked like the other elevator was still not going up or down, but well, she turned back to the door and waited for Nadia.

[color=#EDDA74]"Are you alright?"[color] Astrid had seen Dalisy fall and had tried to catch her, but had just missed her it seemed. She offered her hand at that point and waited for to either decline or accept at that point. She could tell that Runa was still panicking a bit, but she was slowly getting control. "If anyone wants to go up and out the hutch, let me know. I can lift you up."

Nadia took a moment and noticed the bloody handprint that Lara had pointed out and looked towards her for a moment. "We should get the others out before we investigate that more." Nadia said as she made her way towards the elevator that was stuck, and started to shove the others away and out of the way. Nadia took out her sword and looked towards where the door met with the wall and stuck her sword inside of it groaning as she managed to get it a few inches through the small crack.

Nadia started to try and pry the door opening and groaned as she couldnt get it open, as she started to sweat a little bit turning to look at Lara. "Hey mind helping me out with this?" Nadia asked her as she looked at the group that was there. "The elevator on the other end still works go use that one." Nadia suggested as some of them looked at one another and shrugged slightly and headed down the hallway while some of them still remained to watch the show.

"Very graceful Dailsy you get a 10 out of 10." Arnora said jokingly towards Dailsy as she fell onto the ground of the elevator, hearing Runa yelping she quickly turned her attention towards Runa and held her friend's hand. "Hey, it's alright Dailsy was just not very graceful." Arnora said trying to cheer her up, as she took her axe back and looked up at the ceiling seeing the opened hatch. It was really dark and she couldn't see anything on the outside of it.

Arnora then could hear what sounded like howling coming from inside of the shaft somewhere which didn't sound right really either everyone would hear it was well to. [color=#81BEF7]"Here Dailsy and Klara you two can go first."[/coor] Arnora said as she got into position to help lift her up into the elevator shaft, she would help Runa out if she needed to get into the elevator shaft.

Klara wasn't too sure what all was really going on, or why certain the elevator seemed to be having problems. Dalisy seemed to have been making a fool of herself almost, as she first fell onto Astrid when trying to pry open the hatch, and then proceeded to get the hatch open, before she fell to the ground again. Arnora had handed her her axe, but seeing the hatch open made her instantly think about climbing up to see what was going on there first. So she handed the axe right back, "I'll see about trying to get up the hatch and have a look around, you guys can try the door if you want to."

After saying that, Klara went to try and climb up into the elevator shaft, managing to pull herself up so that now she was in the shaft itself. She glanced around the area, before looking straight up and seeing a pair of yellow eyes staring right back at her, and she instantly reached for her sword. "...Guys, you might want to stay in the elevator and try the door..." she said softly down to them, trying really hard to not make any sudden movements as she slowly drew her sword out of its sheath, keeping her eyes on whatever it was that was above her.

Dalisy looked up, she snorted and took Astrid's hand to help herself back to her feet. "Thanks. She told Astrid. "It was definitely intentional." She said to Anora. The growl concerned her though, a bit of her bravado dropped for a moment and it was a good thing it was dark in the elevator.

"Got that ax handy? Let's get those doors open." She didn't know what had happened to the ax, but she drew her weapon and focused her sight, at first it wouldn't focus, the darkness didn't fade away as it could sometimes, but she could see an outline of a wolf. "It's a wolf." There was no hiding that from Runa, she couldn't tell just Klara. Runa was going to have to get used to danger. But for Klara, it was invaluable information. If she knew what she was facing then she would have a better chance of killing it. "Don't get knocked off the top of the elevator." This was mostly useless information.

Between Astrid and Anora's help, and a bit of struggling, Dalisy pulled herself up onto through the hatch, her sword drawn. Now Klara wouldn't be fighting alone.

Runa nodded quickly, even as her heart was pounding. She knew that it had just been Dalisy falling, but in the moment, it could've been anything. And it really wasn't helping that Runa had discovered she was claustrophobic, having never been trapped in a small confined space like this before as a murderer was on the loose trying to re-kill everyone or something. She was doing her best to take deep breaths, going in through the nose and out through the mouth. However, what especially did not help at all was the actual HOWLING, as if a wolf was trapped inside of the shaft with them.

Klara was braver than most, something Runa had come to expect from her. Klara climbed on up to where Dalisy had been and Runa didn't realize she was holding her breath, staring up for any sign of trouble from her friend. Her mouth went dry as Klara told them to stay in the elevator and try the door. It didn't take much for Runa's imagination to run wild, especially with the howling. Runa hurried over to the elevator door, even though she didn't have any sort of super strength, and she tried to pry the doors open with her fingers. "Please please please please open," she whispered.

"I agree, we should get the others out before we do anything else." Lara walked back over to the elevators and looked up and down the door. She did hope that she had enough strength in her to help with the doors, but she soon got a great idea. She pulled out her spear and then jammed it into the place where the doors opened and wedged it in there nice and tight. She wiggled the spear for a moment and then frowned as she didn't seem to do anything with the first jiggle of her spear in the door. "Drat, give me a moment."

Astrid chuckled a bit at that, but said nothing to Dalisy. She wasn't happy to hear that it was a wolf, but better that they find the wolf there rather than running around in the hotel attacking other people. She remembered that the children of Tyr always had a hard time with wolves, as any child of Fenris was not a fan of them. She shook her head as she tried to change her thought track and went to follow up Klara and Dalisy to help them both with the wolf.

Lara summoned her strength to herself at that point and the grasped at her spear again and focused. She wiggled and worked her spear and little by little the door soon gave way and the doors opened on their end, and she let out a soft sigh at that until she heard the sound. The howling of a wolf, just in the elevator. "Oh... fuck." She had a bad history of wolves, with whom her father was. She held her spear tightly in her hands, as if waiting for the beast to launch at her. She frowned more as she waited, her hands gripping so tightly that the patter of the wood was probably ingraining itself in her hands.

Astrid tasked herself with getting up to the top of the elevator car, and then dragged herself up and out of the hatch, and paused as she heard more howling at that point and then she grasped at her necklace. She summoned her full sized spear to her aid and her eyes narrowed as she hoped that she could truly be of aid to the others, and she held it out in front of her. She did not speak, as she wasn't sure what would happen if the wolf heard them.

Just as the elevator opened Runa would be able to see the legs of Nadia and Lara as well as legs of a few other people who were still there. As they managed to open the door to the elevator, Nadia quickly knelt down and looked inside to see Runa and Arnora were still in the elevator and reached over to help Runa out through the small opening. "Hey Runa, I got you." Nadia said smiling towards Runa, hoping that she'd be able to help her through the small gap. Runa would have to climb and then crawl through the small opening, there was another loud howl as well.

"Quickly now get on through." Nadia told Runa, as the others were able to see the wolf jumping down and then snarled at them before dashing through the opening and tackled Lara through the gap and started to snarl and bite and claw at her. One of the Einherjar quickly sprang into action and swung their sword at the wolf's neck knocking it off of Lara easily.

Arnora turned to see the elevator opening and she was grateful and looked towards Runa as Nadia offered her hand to help her through it, she quickly took out her axe, as she heard the other howl and watched Lara getting tackled to the ground. Luckily her friend was helped out by someone else. As another wolf dropped down onto the elevator and snarled at Dailsy, Astrid and Klara and then launched itself at Klara managing to get a few claws onto her arm and snapped at Klara's hand to bite at it.

Arnora wasn't going to leave Runa a lone in the elevator she wasn't sure how sturdy the elevator would be and she didn't want to stay in there for any longer than she needed to be. "Gotta get through now Runa i'll be right behind you." Arnora told her.

Lara let out a slight sigh of relief as the doors opened, and they were finally able to see two people in there, at least their heads. She knelt down at that point and was about to help her when she heard the howls again. Wolves. Her ancient enemy. And now she was sure there was more than one of them at that point, as that was the sound of more than one was echoing through the halls. As she kept her hand out, she was taking off guard by the wolf launching itself at her and then knocked her down. She let out a cry as she put her arms up in front of her, trying to protect her face. Thankfully, one of the Einherjar knocked the wolf off of her, leaving her with some scrapes and bite marks on her arms.

Astrid heard Lara's cries and was worried about her, but it seemed that fate wouldn't be so kind to the group of them atop the elevator as well. Thankfully she already had her spear out, but she wasn't fond of the idea of fighting in such tight quarters. She lunged at the wolf with her spear, and her first attack , more likely ticking off the wolf than doing anything of note or worth damage wise to the wolf. She snarled a bit as she pulled back, getting ready to attack again.

Lara grasped at the pendant around her neck and then tugged at it, summoning her spear to her aid as she worked on getting up at that point. She was injured a bit, but that didn't matter much for the moment. She stared at the wolf, and narrowed her eyes as she went to lunge at the wolf, missing the first time as the wolf moved to the side. The second time she lunged at the wolf, and that time the spear managed to penetrate the skin of the wolf, and she smirked a bit at that.

Astrid pulled herself back and then lunged at the wolf again. This time her pierced flesh, causing the wolf to let out a bit of a growl of pain. The wolf backed off a bit at that point with that attack, and that was probably a good thing for them, as it gave them more space between them and the wolf. She narrowed her eyes as she went to pull back, waiting to attack again at that point.

Dalisy grinned a bit manically. She was having fun. Maybe it was the actual risk. For once she felt alive again. Without any fanfare, she attacked one of the wolves. Driving her sword deep into it and killed it. Her grin didn't drop. She turned and swung at the other wolf, but missed. It didn't deter her though. She rose her sword up and swung down hard on the back of the wolf, bone broke. And the sword cut through its spine.

"Two less wolfies in the world." There was a hint of sadness in her voice as she said it. "Suppose we should go check on the others. Make sure they are getting out of the elevator okay." She looked around the space where the elevators rode up and down. Part of her wanted to just dive off the top of the elevator, but she knew that'd be a really bad idea right now. Instead, she went over to the opening back down into the elevator and offered a hand for Klara or Astrid if they needed it.

Runa nodded slightly, relieved to see that the elevator doors had opened up - and doing her best not to imagine them closing at any moment, slicing her in half as she tried to escape. "I know, I know, I'm going," Runa mumbled, her cheeks turning slightly red with the realization that Arnora was waiting on her. The more terrifying thing about where she was going was that Runa could hear the growls of the wolf and she could see one in the hallway too. But she couldn't stay in the elevator. Runa began the process of climbing on out, her shirt getting snagged on the edge and tearing in the process, as she emerged into the hallway.

The wolf was dead by the time she got up there. She didn't hear any more howling, so it seemed that the danger had passed. A part of her felt more embarrassed that she had just been cowering in the elevator while others were brave and able to fight the beasts. And another part of her felt sad that such intelligent creatures had been slain. She didn't know what they should do next - taking the elevators at all seemed risky and they were almost at their original destination, doubling back to tell Balder about the wolves seemed pointless.

The wolves were now all dead as Nadia started to relax somewhat and lowered her sword as she looked towards the others and those who were on the inside of the elevator shaft. "I think it's all clear now." Nadia said calmly as she looked towards Runa who had climbed out of the elevator as well and noticed that her shirt was torn. "Are you alright?" She asked her as the other Einherjar who were still around seemed to look pretty bored right now to.

Klara would catch a glimpse of Loki and waving towards her for a moment and giving her a mischevious smile towards her through where she was, before heading down through the hallway where the others were inside of, she'd also notice some blood on the wall of the hallway as well to.

Arnora quickly climbed through the elevator shaft as well to, getting herself snagged onto the side of the elevator shaft as well to, before managing to get free after a little bit of struggling to get through. Arnora looked towards the others and sighed a little bit she was glad to be getting out of there before anything bad really happened she looked towards Lara and Nadia for a moment.

The two of them weren't inside of the elevator which was probably a good thing. "So did you guys find anything in the office again or anything like that?" She turned towards the wall and noticed the little smear of blood that was on the wall as well to. Maybe whoever their attacker was still on this floor.

Everything happened in a bit of a blur for her, since one minute she had more or less been on top of the elevator car, the next minute literally every person decided to ignore what she had said and climb up onto a not very large space where anyone could just literally fall off the edge. Weren't they literally supposed to work on not being killed and all? Since this seemed like people were trying to shove everyone off of a cliff or something. They were in-between floors, so that meant that there wasn't any extra platform flat next to them from the closest elevator. It was this little space, one that was meant for one maybe two people, and several people were climbing up and somehow not caring that they could have accidentally killed someone. "Oh no, everything is fine, except for the fact that you are sooooo lucky that you didn't knock anyone off this thing. Since these are not exactly made for multiple people to stand on top of, let alone fight on top of one. There was a very specific reason why I said don't climb on top of the elevator, but thanks for not listening at all," Klara snapped a bit at both Dalisy and Astrid.

Though it would be a bit evident why, Klara was a bit prideful, so she didn't ever like asking for help. Despite how she tended to appear, her friends would know that she was hot headed, so her temper could flare up at times. The one thing she hated a whole lot was the idea of anyone more or less coming to her rescue, when she could easily handle herself. "Well let's get off this death trap before something else decides to show up, or someone decides to trip and shove someone to their probably permanent death. Cause that would be a great thing to have to explain about how someone else ended up dead." Of course, her injuries from the wolf were a bit sore, but she basically was ignoring them for the moment.

She followed along to get out of the elevator, and she glanced over to see Loki farther along the hallway, before disappearing around the corner. However at the moment she was more than a bit annoyed with the others, and decided to just not mention it at all to them. The blood was a bit more obvious though, and her brain was starting to think that it was becoming more and more clear that Loki had something to do with it, and him showing up here was definitely not a good sign, but currently she was more than a bit annoyed with everyone so she wasn't going to actually say anything about Loki popping up yet.

It was one of those moments that Dalisy hated Klara. Sometimes the pair could get along fine. Other times, she wanted to strangle her. "Next time I'll leave you to the wolves." Dalisy said with a shrug. She slid down from the top and dropped back into the elevator before climbing out and onto the 100th floor.

"Well that was quite the distraction." Irritation colored her voice. She glanced at the group and saw none of them seemed to be actively dying. She focused on her sight and looked around for the trail of blood. She found it and it led to a room. Not just any room the Arcade. Dalisy hadn't spent much time there but she knew it was a gaming room. The place would be busy and have a bunch of different paths. It was a good place to try to lose someone.

She grinned though. This was fun, and she suspected she'd be better than whoever was bleeding. She just had to keep finding the blood droplets. She imagined for a moment that she was a bloodhound. "Looks like our friend went this way." She pointed to the door before opening and entering the arcade scanning for more blood and where the invisible person might have gone.

Lara groaned as she sat up and looked over at the wolf that laid dead near her. She scooted away from the dead creature, as if fearing that it might rise up and chomp off her own hand at that point, vengeance for its untimely death. She really really hated wolves, and they hated her just as much. Just because her father had been the one... No, that wasn't his fault. He had been the honest one. He had sacrificed his hand while the other gods were more than happy to try and trick the wolf. She pushed her thoughts aside as she went to dig around for her pocket first aid kit.

Astrid looked a bit sheepish as Klara spoke. She had been too worried about the wolves that were outside and inside the elevator than to have heeded Klara's words. She wanted to apologize, but what was done was done. They couldn't go back to before at that point. Klara was right, they had gotten very lucky with that fight. She climbed off the top of the elevator and hopped out and into the elevator with everyone else at that point.

Lara dug out the little kit and started treating herself and thankfully, she got herself cleaned and bandaged up. She looked up at Arnora as she spoke and then let out a loud sigh. "We found nothing there, but I do feel better that we checked again and didn't see anything rather than miss something by moving on." She finished binding her wounds and then stood up with a low groan. She looked over at Dalisy as she spoke and then nodded. "I guess we should head that way then. Thank you for spotting that Dalisy."

"Man, we really got lucky that it was only two of them." Astrid looked around, and then paused as Dalisy headed towards the arcade. "Alright, seems that we're going that way." Astrid gripped her spear at that point as she went to follow Dalisy, trying to keep on guard at that point. She really hoped it was only the two wolves, but she had a bad feeling that something else was here, but she didn't know what. She just had an itch that something was wrong.
