Runa Johansson

Location: Hotel Valhalla
Skills: N/A

Runa relaxed slightly as the einherjar standing at the door lowered their weapons, explaining that they just hadn't realized there was a door there - that was definitely fair. With all of the magic going on at Hotel Valhalla, doors randomly appearing was still an unusual occurrence - enough to temporarily scare the best of them into raising a weapon, especially with death having been seemingly permanent lately. "I'm okay, really - you don't need to worry about me," Runa told Nadia quietly. She didn't need a comforting hand on her shoulder. She was incredibly distressed, yes, but Runa was able to manage her own emotions - even if her battles with depression and anxiety sometimes made it seem otherwise.

She headed with the others to the elevator, a little confused as to why some people were talking about generic hang out plans at a time like this. Runa paled though as Dalisay started exclaiming that someone was going to go free Loki at that very moment. "What can we do?" Runa asked quickly, her heart pounding in terror. She nodded as Klara provided an answer - that they should go stop Loki. "... How do we get there?" she then followed up.

Nadia nodded slightly towards Runa. "Alright then if you say so." Nadia told her as she got into the elevator and pressed the floor to the lobby where the Feast Hall was located. She looked towards Lara as she started to approach her and smiled some as she started to patch up her burns it was the second time that she had gotten hurt today. "Thank you Lara." Nadia said as the elevator descended down to the first floor and listened to Dalisy what was happening with Loki right now which wasnt good at all.

"We don't even know where Loki's cave is it could be anywhere in the nine realms for all we know." Nadia said rubbing the bridge of her nose a little bit, maybe Heimdal or Baldur knew where it was. "Which is still why we should meet with Baldur and the Thanes and we can go from there." Nadia said as the elevator doors opened and she started to make her way towards the Feast Hall, seeing all of the people that they had saved which made her feel good and spotted Heimdall, Baldur and the other Thanes were talking.

Arnora looked at Dalisy with a bit of a worried look when she said that someone was outside the door of Loki's prison wasnt a good thing at all. "Well lets hurry up and meet them, hopefully Heimdall would be able to get us there quickly." Arnora said as soon as the elevator doors opened Arnora quickly made her way into the feast hall, seeing all the people that they saved made her relax a little bit and was glad that she'd be able to help out.

Seeing Baldur and the Thanes along with Heimdall talking, she made her way over towards them when Baldur looked over at the group and smiled towards them he was really happy that they were able to pull through. "I'm so glad that you were able to rescue the Einherjar." Baldur said, before Arnora quickly interrupted him. "It was a distraction to get Loki out the entire time." Arnora said sounding a little bit out of breath. Baldur looked trouble as he looked over at the others in the group that were there and wanted to confirm. "Is it true?" He asked the others, as Baldur looked towards Heimdall who quickly started to look into it as well to.

Astrid didn't normally want to punch someone... but at that moment she really wanted to punch Klara. Thankfully, Nadia pointed out the obvious to Klara, that even while they might have wanted to go stop the person that was going to free Loki, they didn't know where Loki was or how to get there. She resisted the urge to smirk as it was affirmed that it was probably a good idea to let them know so they could get to the person freeing Loki rather than wander the branches of the World Tree trying to find a prison that no one was suppose to easily get to. She kept quiet, to keep from giving Klara anything else she could try to use against her, since she seemed to be Klara's target.

Lara looked at the Thanes and gods as they were informed of what was going on, and Heimdall started to look into it. "We can go after this person if you want... but we shouldn't delay too much longer. Can we get passage to where Loki is being kept?" She was wanting to help be able to keep Loki from being free. She knew she hadn't done too much with the crane game, even when she had helped heal and bandage up the others that had accepted her help.

Astrid continued to hold her tongue at that point as she waited for the gods to affirm that the god of mischief was at risk of being freed, and then that they could go after him. She would happily offer her help if asked, otherwise she wasn't going to still speak. She didn't look over at Klara, or anyone else except the Thanes and the gods, waiting for their response.

Lara was also quiet at that point, as she was waiting for a response. She did also summon her spear at that point, wanting to be armed and ready for any hunt they might need to engage in. She could tell there was still tension in the group, and she wanted to make sure that she wasn't adding to it. They needed to be level headed if they were going to go against the god of mischief himself.

Dalisy considered just summoning the bifrost herself. It was a tempting option, but she hadn't used it on her own much so her control was...lacking. She didn't want to get dropped off somewhere she didn't intend to go. It would be better to ask her father. She wondered though if the Thanes would have them even be the ones to go deal with the situation. It felt like they were the Scooby-doo gang and getting involved in stuff the 'adults' would be better off dealing with.

She kept an eye on Loki though as they rushed down to the Hall. He was still there. "He is still there, but there is some cultist of his coming to break him out." She explained. Her father was certainly going to see that just as well as she had. And give her words some credance. Part of her stomach twisted, what if what she was looking at was an illusion too though. Could Loki fool her...Could he fool her father?

Runa nodded, a bit surprised that they didn't actually know the location - she thought Dalisay must have known, as she could see it. She also didn't know if they were really the right people to deal with this situation - surely there was someone more qualified to deal with Loki? They had only done it last time as the Norns had pretty much expressly said it had to be them. She pondered that as they headed out of the elevator and into the Feast Hall. She saw her father sitting at the Thanes' table and Runa felt a little strange - she was still getting used to having a father in general. The god thing was just another hurdle.

He seemed happy - they had saved everyone, but it was ultimately meaningless - especially if Loki escaped. Everyone was telling the Thanes what had happened, and Runa didn't feel the need to add anything. Time was of the essence. If they were somehow the only ones qualified to stop Loki, then they needed to move quickly rather than stand around talking about how much they needed to do something.

This was beyond stupid. They weren't a bunch of children needing to have an eye kept on them at all time. Since they all were already dead, and personally Klara thought it was idiotic to just wait around to have the gods figure things out, or to have them do everything. They were the ones who knew about the whole thing, and they weren't exactly helpless children. They didn't need to have a babysitter or a chaperone around. Actually with Astrid being around they already had a babysitter of sorts (which also annoyed her to no end).

Why should they sit there and alert the others to what was going on? Why did they need to? Seriously, this was dumb, and she wanted nothing to do with these people if they were like,Oh, we need to alert others to what's going on since we are essentially helpless and need to have a babysitter keep an eye on us!. Yeah, it sounded dumb in her brain. Klara didn't immediately follow the others into the Feast Hall, honestly most of that group was pissing her off and she just sort of wanted nothing to do with them currently, since they all were fine with them needing a babysitter to try and actually accomplish or do anything. They were supposed to be warriors and all, so how come they couldn't exactly be trusted to do anything.

Baldur and Heimdall talked amongst themselves for a moment Nadia looked between the two gods as they talked to each other and got the sense that they were going to let them help with whoever is releasing Loki, before Baldur spoke up looking at them. "Heimdall is going to be opening a portal with the bifrost so that you all can go through, i'll be joining you as well." Baldur said as Heimdall started to use use his powers and opened up a rainbow colored portal for them all to jump through. Nadia didnt mind that Runa's father would be joining them, it would be really helpful as well to as Heimdall spoke. "I'll get you as close as I can." Heimdall told them all.

"Lets get going then." Nadia said as she went through the portal and stood at the mouth of a cave, the air was really cold as she looked around, she really wasnt sure where they were in the Nine Realms really as Nadia waited for the others as Baldur stepped through shortly afterwards. Nadia looked down and noticed some footprints that were leading down into the cavern itself and continued to move forward as she walked she felt her foot touching something and reached down to pick it up was a golden colored apple.

Arnora didnt really mind or care that Baldur was coming, all she really did care about was finding Loki and trying to find out who was breaking him free and why as well to. Arnora looked towards Heimdall and nodded towards him, just as he opened up the bifrost for them all to jump through, Arnora went in shortly after Baldur did as he looked down to see the footprints in the snow leading down into the cave itself. Arnora entered the cavern itself as Arnora walked down the cavern she noticed that the cavern split off into two different directions.

She knelt down as she concentrated on where to go, she started to get the feeling that they were being watched as Arnora stood up pointing towards the left. "I think his prison is that." Arnora said towards them as Arnora turned to face the others as Baldur spoke up. "Be aware of any kind of traps." Baldur said to the others getting the feeling that they were being watched as well to now.

Dalisy was antsy. She wanted to get moving. She hated that they were talking when action needed to be taken. Her father opened a path for them and Dalisy darted through, drawing her sword ready to fight. Baldur was leading the way following the footsteps of the cultist she had seen earlier.

Baldur suggested they keep an eye out for traps. And Dalisy nodded. She focused on her heightened senses looking for signs of a trap. She noticed a tripwire. "Careful there. That's a tripwire." She pointed it out to the others. There were a few sets of it. She figured there might be something else, but if there was it was too well hidden.

Lara was thankful that Heimdall had opened up the Bifrost to where they needed to go, and that the gods didn't seem to be wanting them to stay behind. Yes, that had been a risk but again, they had not known where they were going. Also thankfully the Gods had sensed the rush, and so they were rushing through the portal and to where Loki was. She pulled out her dagger at that point, as she had heard someone yelling about swinging spears in closed areas earlier, or she thought she had. Dagger was better for now, and she could easily grasp her spear when needed.

Astrid noticed that they seemed to be missing someone, but she didn't say anything for the moment. She was going to help with keeping Loki in his prison, and she was going to prove that she wasn't useless. Yes, the remarks from earlier were still stinging, and well, she was going to prove that she was worth having around. Heck, it was odd that a Valkyrie was helping with this kind of thing, but well, Astrid pushed all her thoughts away to the back of her mind.

When Dalisy pointed out the traps, Lara carefully went forward and cut all the trip wires they found, and she thankfully was able to set them all off harmlessly. "Here we go guys, we won't have to worry about stepping around the traps. Thanks for pointing them out, Dalisy." She offered the other woman a small smile at that and then put her guard back up. Yes, they had found these traps and had disarmed them, but that didn't mean that it was entirely safe.

Astrid followed the group, moving to take the point of the group at that point with Dalisy, as it seemed that she was the most keen eyed of the group. She didn't pull out her weapon, not just yet. She wished she had her sword with her, but they hadn't had time to go grab other weapons. So, she would wait until they found an area with more space to pull out her spear. She hoped they would find the person trying to free Loki soon.

Runa Johansson

Runa's eyes widened slightly, as her father explained that he would be accompanying them to inspect Loki's prison, but she nodded. Her heart was filled with fear and felt like it was going to explode out of her chest, but she knew that she had to be brave - she was an einherjar, after all. She had gone on a quest and rescued a god from the clutches of Hel in helheim - she could do this. Runa took a breath, before stepping through the portal. Instantly, a shiver went down her spine, as her body registered the dramatic drop in temperature. She could see her breath out in front of her. Runa rubbed her hands against her arms quickly, coaxing a bit of warmth back into her body.

"... An apple?" Runa whispered, completely confused as to why there was an apple on the ground. Nadia had picked it up and it definitely looked strange - it looked like it was made out of gold. She'd never seen an apple like that before. And this definitely wasn't the right climate for apples, right? There was tripwire as well here and Runa bit her lip, wondering how they'd make it to Loki's prison - or how anyone could, really, without a full squad of demigods with useful abilities.

Nadia turned to look at Runa for a moment asking about the apple it was really weird to see in her opinion why would someone even leave a golden apple on the ground. "I'm not sure what it means but it's weird." Nadia said as she handed it over towards Runa, to let her see it on one side of it would say. 'For the Fairest' Nadia watched as Lara set off the traps harmlessly and smiled towards her, she was glad that they didnt have to worry about them and she continued to go down the cave, as things started to feel slightly warmer as they went deeper there were torches that were lit as well to.

Eventually she made it down to where Loki's prison was, and the door to his prison was cracked open slightly, Baldur held out his hand and looked towards them. There was another golden apple on the floor as well to which Nadia looked down at it was really weird again wondering why this person really liked golden apples and laying a trail for them to follow didnt make sense to her. Baldur eventually went through the door itself along with Nadia shortly behind him.

Arnora followed the others until they were in front of the cell that contained Loki, she was alarmed that the door was already opened and she quickly went into the room as well drawing out her axe. There was a woman wearing what looked like a black toga of sorts, she was still wearing the hood to cover her face. She was working on getting the chains off of him, there was a snake hanging just a few inches away from Loki himself acid dripping off of his face. "Mind hurrying up and getting this off of me?" Loki asked sounding really irritated his face looked severely burned due to the acid when he turned to stare at the group entering the room.

"Oh looks like our guests finally arrived mind dealing with them for me Eris dear?" Loki said looking at Baldur as he looked really annoyed, Arnora quickly threw her axe over at the woman who was trying to free them, and turned around to face them revealing her face. She smiled easily catching the axe and easily tossed it to the side, she waved her hand as she easily knocked Nadia, Baldur and Arnora backwards.

This was not exactly going to be a fun thing to be dealing with, dealing with Loki in his prison or whatever. She still didn't think that they needed Baldur to tag along and be a babysitter or whatever, they seriously didn't need one. Whatever though, not like she was going to bluntly say that to the guy's face, she preferred to continue existing in the afterlife way and everything, but that was just her currently. Stepping through the portal after the others, she followed them along, trying to see how this was going to go, the golden apples sort of thing was a bit odd, but she thought nothing of it.

With Lara disabling the traps and all, there wasn't much really stopping them from reaching Loki's prison. The chaos that they found there was not exactly reassuring and all, and whoever this Eris person was, Loki seemed to think that she could rather easily deal with all of them herself. "Well let's get this over with," she commented, before she charged straight at Eris with her sword drawn. Put her strength behind the attack, Klara managed to injure her quite a bit with her sword, and the person was bleeding golden ichor and got knocked backwards from the strike.

Lara looked up at the woman that was there to free Loki, and she raised a brow at the name. Eris. She didn't recognize the name from any Norse mythology that she knew about, but it didn't matter who she was. She pulled out her spear from her pendent and her spear as well as she got into an attacking position. Dodging the golden apples she moved forward, making sure to avoid Klara as she attacked, and she struck Eris in the side, and landed a solid blow on the woman. She noticed the golden ichor dripping from her side and she paused. Golden blood? Wasn't that what the gods bled when injured? Was she a goddess?

Astrid took another step forward into the cave and then paused as she noticed a sword laying right in front of her, and she picked it up. When she held it into her hand it gave her a tingling feeling and seemed to crackle a bit with lightning. It felt right in her hand, and she was almost sure that the sword was left there for her. She was sure that when Klara saw that she had gotten an electric sword she'd freak, but her attention turned toward the woman in front of them all. She went to attack this Eris character, but found that her attack was blocked. When she focused to send a bolt of lightning through the sword, but it seemed the woman was able to redirect it, causing Astrid to fly back a bit.

Lara saw the Valkyrie fly back a bit, and she turned back to the woman and went to attack again. As she lunged forward to attack the woman, she managed to dodge out of the way, and Lara was a bit stunned at that point, but she turned around and went to attack again. However, she had turned rather poorly and she ended up tripping and falling on her hands and knees. She cursed under her breath as she went to pick herself up and then dusted herself off and then looked over at the woman again and went to take a defensive position.

Astrid picked herself up again and dusted herself off and growled lowly. Today was not her day, and she was sure that Klara was probably laughing internally at her again. She turned to the woman and held out her sword again and went to attack again and... this Eris woman easily got out of the way, side stepping her easily. Astrid blinked at that as she caught herself and stopped before she ran into anything or anyone. She was beginning to realize that this woman wasn't just some mortal, that something else was going on with her.

Runa Johansson

Location: Outside Loki's Cavern

Runa took the apple from Nadia, staring in confusion at the words written on its side - for the fairest. She had no idea at all what that meant. Had Loki put those words there? Had someone else? She hadn't ever heard of anything about writing messages like that on apples either. Maybe it was something normal, although Nadia seemed equally confused about it. Setting the apple back down on the ground felt wrong and a little bit silly, so Runa held onto it - maybe someone would be able to figure out something by the handwriting... if apple handwriting was something to be analyzed? She shook her head slightly, before suddenly, everything went dark.

Runa assumed that the cavern must have somehow lost light, but she didn't hear anyone saying anything about it. "...Guys?" Runa called out tentatively. "I can't see..." She hoped the others would say similar things, that they were just so used to things suddenly going completely dark that they didn't bother to freak out about it, but she had a deep sense of dread that it was just her. "...Hello?" Runa called out. She didn't know that the others had already gone down the rest of the tunnel. "... Is anyone there?"

Dalisy didn't have a clue what the apples were about when things went dark. She blinked a couple of times trying to get her vision to allow her to see in the dark. Finally, it did. "Runa, I'm here." Dalisy said. She kept her voice level. She knew Runa was particularly jumpy and didn't feel like being cruel since she was already freaked out.

"The other's continued on. Here take my hand I'll lead us." It wasn't that she could 'see' so much that she knew where things were and weren't. It was hard to explain. "Sounds like the others found someone to swing a sword at. Come on." She gently reached out and took Runa's hand knowing that there wasn't a way for Runa to see her.

Eris turned around and grabbed Lara by the hair and smiled. "You'll pay for that." Eris said towards her and then looked directly at Klara and threw her, causing Lara to crash into Klara. She turned to look over at Loki who managed to get one of his hands free from his bindings and was working on getting the other off now. Eris was holding her side for a moment while looking down at her blood and glared at them all as Baldur came in and narrowly managed to hit her.

Nadia turned her attention towards Runa and Dalisy. "Are you two alright?" She asked the two of them, as she ran over towards them looking a bit worried, Runa would be able to regain her sight as well. Nadia then turned her attention towards Loki seeing that he was getting his hand free and quickly ran over to try and keep the god from leaving. He turned towards her and quickly backhanded her knocking Nadia backwards a few feet, a nasty bruise forming on the side of her face.

Arnora managed to cut Eris a little bit more, causing the goddess to stumble backwards and glared at Arnora. She then grabbed her by the neck and threw her across the room hitting a stalagmite inside of the cave, which caused it to fall down on to her leg causing Arnora to cry out in pain pinning her to the ground.

Baldur turned to look at Arnora and then at Eris and Loki, glaring at them for a moment, before running over to help Arnora up but was struggling due to it being heavy. Loki managed to get his other hand free as he looked at the others who were there he was almost free now and just needed to get his legs free.

Well, there were worse people to have thrown into her she supposed (namely Astrid the not very useful Valkyrie), though it didn't take much to notice that not too many people were actually doing much in the way of damaging their opponents. Loki was causing issues, but one thing she knew, was that both Loki and Eris would not be good, and from what she could gather, Loki was starting to free himself even more so, and people were kind of just getting backhanded and thrown around every which direction, and since she was still by Eris, she figured she might try to continue to injure her as opposed to whirling around and charging at Loki or something at the moment. She could at least keep Eris' attention on her.

Klara easily managed to more or less shove Lara off of her as she jumped back up onto her feet, and she rolled her eyes at Eris. "Seriously? Is that the best you can do? Honestly that was kind of pathetic," she said to Eris, clearly taunting her a bit, before she lunged forward with her sword in hand as she managed to slash at her, causing a few more cuts to appear on Eris now. Of course, she went in for another few attacks, but she missed on her first swing, but swept on the back swing and sliced into her again. This sort of thing is what Klara was good at, fighting with swords and all, so this is what she was doing.

Lara could see that Eris was pissed that she had attacked her, and paused a bit as the goddess tossed her towards Klara. She paused a bit as Klara easily shoved her off herself, and she moved to get herself up and readjusted herself at that point and held back out her spear. The goddess, Eris it seemed, was really annoying her at that point and well, Lara was pretty sure this goddess and her father would not get along in any way, shape or form. She lunged forward, attacking the Goddess, but missing once again. She wasn't sure why she was having such a bad day, but she gathered herself for her next attack.

Astrid gripped her sword as she looked at the goddess again. She frowned as she watched the goddess toss people around, as well as the fact that she was causing them many issues. She moved to attack the goddess and was surprised when this time she hit Eris again, and she grinned at that, noticing the gold blood spill from the wound. She did make sure to avoid Klara as she attacked, as she did try to keep her words in mind as she attacked more. She could see Loki freeing himself, but she was too caught up in fighting Eris.

Lara went to attack a second time, and then growled a bit as she missed again at that point. She was beginning to doubt herself at that point, but she decided not to let herself get too discouraged. She gripped her spear tighter and attacked her, and thankfully this time, Eris seemed pretty distracted by the three people attacking her so Lara landed another blow on her, watching as the goddess got more cuts appearing on her body until... she heard a rather interesting sound as someone landed a blow to her gut.

Astrid was glad that she had gotten some sword training before, and she was very thankful that this sword had magically appeared before her. She went to attack Eris again, and the goddess must have been very distracted by all the people attacking her, as this time when Astrid launched herself at her, the blow landed and Astrid stabbed the goddess through her gut with a sickening sound, a normally fatal blow on mortals. She pulled back the sword, watching the golden ichor pour out of of the new wound in her gut. Astrid had to chuckle a bit to herself as she moved into a defensive position, not wanting to leave herself vulnerable.

Runa Johansson

Location: Loki's Cavern
Skills: Staff Fighting, Agility,

Runa felt a mixture of joy and dismay as she heard Dalisay's voice in the darkness. She didn't want to be picky, but she would have loved for it to have been Nadia or Klara she had heard... or Astrid. She felt some heat in her cheeks at the thought of holding hands with Astrid in the dark. It would never happen, of course - Astrid was a Valkyrie and Runa was... Runa. She'd never had any sort of romantic relationship in her life, she didn't think that would change with her death. "Oh... Okay," Runa said, blushing deeply as she felt Dalisay's hand clasp around hers. Dalisay's hand was warm and strong - nothing like her abrasive personality.

Runa followed Dalisay's guidance, doing her best to step carefully, afraid that she'd trip and fall into some sort of ravine. Eventually though, her sight returned to her - things began to appear again in front of her and relief spread throughout her body. She didn't want to be blind ever again, to feel so exposed and vulnerable, like a damsel in distress. She hated that feeling.

There was some sort of godly, mythic looking woman here... and Loki. Runa's blood went cold as she saw him. He seemed to be nearly out of his bonds too. Runa rushed on over, her staff growing rapidly in her hand, as Runa swung, attempting to hit Loki in the head - anything to keep him from trying to escape. Her first swing he blocked, but the second she hit him in the head, leaving a nasty gash. She went for another swing, only for Loki to grab a hold of her staff.

Once they had joined the others Dalisy let go of Runa's hand. She saw that Arnora was trapped and Bauldr was trying to free her. She moved over and helped him. She knew she couldn't do much to help take care of Arnora's leg, and it was more important to deal with the active threats. Dalisy figured Arnora wasn't going to die immediately.

She turned around and drew her sword and went to stab Loki. It was odd, she thought, to attack a god. But before joining the ranks in the Hotel she hadn't really believed in gods anyway. She hit, but it didn't do much. So she swung again. This time she hit his chest and left a pretty decent gash behind. She grinned and took a step back, not wanting to be too easy to hit.
