Would I be allowed to introduce minor NPC's for plot points like wild Pokemon attacking, or would that be overstepping my bounds?
Second question: What wild Pokemon are around here, anyway? ^_^'
You can introduce minor NPC's to make the world feel more alive, absolutely! You can control wild Pokemon, other trainers, and regular citizens. Whatever you feel helps the story, is okay with me.
Wild Pokemon near Knoxville, TN are going to be pretty similar to other wild Pokemon breakdowns you have seen for other places in the Eastern part of the USA. Nevertheless, there may be a few minor differences, so here's the breakdown of Pokemon in the greater Knoxville area:
Caterpie, Weedle, Magnemite, Spinarak, Heracross, Zigzagoon, Sableye, Mawile, Bidoof, Shinx, Carnivine, Petilil, Scraggy, Deerling, RuffletAlso, it's up to you to show these Pokemon in their natural habitat within your posts. For example, to find a Sableye or Mawile, you might want to go spelunking. Or to find a Carnavine, you should be in a forest, not just a park in the middle of the city. I leave this to the player's discretion, unless the Pokemon is
extremely out of place. Even then, if their is a good reason for the Pokemon to be displaced, that is okay too.
