Oh, by the way, I was thinking about doing something that our friend Zoey suggested in Discord. I hesitated at first because it seemed indulgent of me, but maybe it would be fun. Zoey mentioned that it might be a better way to celebrate 100 pages (rather than finding things that the RP isn't doing well) to mention what some of your favorite moments have been in the RP so far, during your time here. So if this seems like a good idea and you can think of anything, I would be all to happy to hear from you guys!

The greatest moment in roleplaying, I feel, is when character rips the reins right out of my hands and forces me to do something incredibly stupid.

If you go back and read the first time Linkle met Baldur, you'll get to a point where Linkle realizes that she isn't talking to Frozen Highlands representative of Organization XIII but that the Areas Guardian has come to find her. That is also the point where I realized what was happening and started screaming internally. Because I know who Baldur is. I know his his whole deal. I know that he's 100% unbeatable.

But Linkle doesn't.

So I'm staring down the barrel of this asskicking I had unintentionally foreshadowed a few posts earlier, and I know already there isn't any avoiding it. Linkle always meets violence with violence. Once he raised a hand to her there wasn't any other choice, I had to kick him in the face.

One of my favorite moments was the aftermath of the battle in Limsa when the authorities rushed the restaurant surrounding the group, and I still fondly remember writing my response. Keeping in mind his reputation and having a sense of honor, Frog staked his reputation to defend Blue Teams actions. I loved the moment because to me at least it felt surreal like the stakes were high. There was real emotion and development both for the team and Glenn.

I miss playing him too tbh, I was so happy to get to play him though.

In addition, Cia was quite possibly my favorite antagonist. The moment she said "You've met with a terrible fate." had me going through scenario after scenario of how Glenn would respond and it was quite a test to figure out how he would react to the words in a way I found appropriate.

Having been in this for the full 3 years there have been so many great moments, so rather than try and pick a best one, I'm going to roll this back to a simple fun one a lot of you weren't here for, which is me and lug simultaneously rping the two different versions of Bowser you get, the imposing big bad vs the ineffectual comedy villain, as a result of megadrgonbowser coincidentally being the first boss. This culminates in his (presently dying) Bowser tying to convince my Bowser to take in his spirit, a ploy that would corrupt mine to be like his. This is resolved by having my Bowser, who had already entirely fallen for the ruse and was going to take the spirit, spending too long bickering with Tora over the issue that his Bowser gives up the ghost and then the dangerous, to my bowser, spirit is snagged by someone else from under the king's nose. post in question

Is it a profound or dramatic moment like some of the other moments? No, not really, but is indicative of something unique I've been having/getting to do for this rp, which is looking at a situation, thinking what Bowser would do, realizing that waht he'd do is perhaps the dumbest thing that you could possibly do in that given situation, and then being compelled to exactly that anyway.

and that is a lark and a half.

I've had so much fun since I joined in, over two years ago now! It's hard to narrow it down but here are some that came to mind for me:

  • The relationship between Linkle and Din, reading their friendship grow and then their falling out with Din being reclaimed by Galeem, and then reconciliation after that was really cool. I really enjoy seeing character moments like that. Also, that slap!
  • The very end of the battle with the Ender Dragon, when everyone was so relieved and the Smash City was revealed. That was soooo cool and it really opened the world up more, made everything feel more connected. It felt like (and was) a huge turning point in the story!
  • Pretty much everything that's gone on with Limsa/Edge of the Blue. That's probably my favorite arc so far. From writing character interactions together in town, to the confrontation with Cia like DC mentioned, and going on to sea, into the Maw, and where we are now. Special mention particularly to Sakura's meeting with Karin, I loved that scene and how desperate it felt to free someone you know. Also special mention to the battle on the harbor with Shippy against the Abyssals, that was the most tense I felt while writing. So many emotions going on. Over all that miiiight be my favorite part, but there are so many good ones.
  • Been having fun writing the Cadet and Nadia get closer. It's tough because while it's been months for us, it's been hours for the characters haha, but it's just another nice character interaction I enjoy.
  • The little things like Geralt's slang getting passed around the group just makes me grin whenever I read it. Small stuff like that really brings the characters to life.
  • Oh! And entering Al Mamoon was great, with everyone excited to explore and see the city. Getting Prim a nice mask to match her new friend, once more I am just pointing out character dynamics I like lol Prim awakening to a Persona when

That's all I got for now, but yeah, happy 100 IC pages! Also as one last thing, I remain the biggest Kamek fan.
