City Streets
As Jade predicted, they'd hear the sounds of shouts from farther down the street. Doors to several different buildings were being thrown open and slammed shut, and the sounds of several people calling and shouting, racing towards where Sabretooth had landed. Which unfortunately for the pair of them was just an alleyway over from where they were. The footsteps were getting closer rather quickly, meaning that they likely would get spotted if they didn't move quickly from their current position.

For Guin, she'd run into people as Sabretooth a lot quicker then them. As a door to the alley from a building flung open, resulting in a a few people stepping through it. Somehow, Guin was able to maintain the switch, so she didn't have to worry about that at least right? "Sabretooth? Really?" a man said, walking into the alley, but looking like he was trying really hard not to laugh.

"Aren't cats supposed to land on their feet?" a woman commented, which resulted in the first guy to burst out laughing, unable to hold it in for very long.

For Ed, he'd hear the commotions that were resulting from Guin's attempts to get Sabretooth faraway from where he was now. He'd also be able to hear the sound of footsteps heading his way. Though he was able to get a very entertaining thing to witness. That being Sabretooth (as Guin) let out a roar (or tried to) and was kicking at the bubble that he had made to contain him.

City Hall
"Still not sure this is a good idea..." he muttered. One of the guys had sprung back up to his feet, and charged straight at him. Lance at the last moment before being hit had managed to blast at him with light, sending him backwards.

"Ok, I think this will work to at least get us out of here..." Pietro eventually said, though his left arm looked like it had healed wrong, and was still at an odd angle. "I can race us out of here Carolina, I'll take Lance and your body a few blocks away, get out of there, and see you in a minute."

"You sure about that? That looks painful..."

"Just need someone to rebreak it later to fix it, and check to see that the other one healed correctly, otherwise I'm fine, aside from pain, don't worry," he responded, before in a gust of wind, he took Lance and Carolina's body out of there and farther down the street a few blocks away, before leaning Carolina's body up against a wall. (Carolina will be able to go back to her body this round.)

"Shut up." Ed snapped at Sabretooth and started running. He needed to get distance between himself and the commotion. He couldn't be certain but he figured Guin was behind that. It meant though that a whole lot of people were starting to be drawn to it though.

He took off, dragging the bubble along with him, floating it in the air. It was funny watching Sabretooth in Guin's body be basically useless. He was able to get away without being noticed or intercepted. He hoped Guin would come back soon so they could get underground again. He felt a little too exposed at the moment.

"It's the only idea right now unless you'd like to continue fighting." Carolina said through the body that she was possessing at the moment as Pietro agreed to go with it and nodded towards him. "I'll see you in a bit then." Carolina said as the gust of wind went through the room, before turning her attention towards the men. She was completely outnumbered now and she didn't want to stay and keep fighting. "Later people." Carolina said waving goodbye to them before she left the body that she was possessing.

Carolina slowly opened her eyes and stood up looking at Pietro and Lance seeing that Pietro's arms were still in an awkward angle, she wasn't much of a doctor and she wasnt sure if she had the strength to break them both. "Are you guys alright and are we good to get back to our place?" She asked holding out the two maps she managed to find.

Cassandra turned her attention towards Jade pointing out that it wasn't actually Sabertooth, and then hearing that it was Guin made her relax. "Well how was I suppose to know that?" Cassandra said giving a slight shrug as Guin left to start scaling the nearby building and nodded towards her. "See you soon and good luck." Cassandra said as she turned to face Jade asking if she knew a way to enter the sewers. "Give me a second." Cassandra said as she started to look around the area before hearing a loud crash and Guin yelling fuck as Sabertooth.

It didn't take her long until she found a manhole cover and gestured towards it, they needed to get in there quickly and hoped that Thalia, Ed and Guin knew where they were. "Call Ed and Thalia let them know where we are and we are ready to head out." Cassandra said as she started to lift up the manhole cover.

Just like somehow Palpatine had returned, somehow Guin was able to maintain the switch as Sabretooth. She was white knuckling it mentally, doing her best to hold on. Each bit of distance she could create between Sabretooth and her friends was another shot they would have at escaping unscathed. But Guin had never been in someone else's body for this long before - especially not one taking this much damage. She mostly just had switched with others in the tunnels for practice and training purposes. Piloting Sabretooth's body was uncharted territory. Guin pulled her way out of the small crater she had created from the fall, her stolen body in utter agony.

Fortunately, the pain (self-inflicted) that she was in helped keep her from giggling at what the strangers were teasing Sabretooth with. She didn't know who they were, but they were probably on Magneto's side. And she didn't want them running off to grab a telepath or someone else who could oust Guin from the body. No, she was trusting that Edus was getting himself (and Guin's own body) off to safety, but he needed time. That meant for now, she was going to have to role-play as Sabretooth. Guin bared her teeth and did her best impression of a menacing growl. "Aren't dead men not supposed to talk?" she threatened, figuring that was something menacing enough for Sabretooth to say.

"It's not my problem that you're unobservant," Jade said bluntly to Cass, as Cass asked how she was supposed to have known that Sabretooth wasn't Sabretooth. Jade didn't hold it against Cass though for being oblivious - most people Jade worked with her clueless idiots, fumbling around in the dark. So many things that were obvious and salient to Jade turned out to be complete mysteries to others, including her beau Alex. Her eyes darted towards the manhole cover Cass had indicated and Jade nodded. That looked sufficient. She would have pointed it out herself, but Jade wasn't as familiar with the sewer network that the X-Men relied upon; she didn't know if it was continuously connected or portioned off into discrete, separate zones.

Cass lifted up the manhole cover and Jade darted down, climbing down the ladder until she hit the bottom. It looked like any ordinary sewer. Some water sloshed at her feet and the place, Jade was certain, must have reeked. It was fortunate that the mask keeping her from dying of M-Pox also prevented Jade from smelling the sewers; and the X-Men, for that matter, as they must have been ripe after living in all of this. "Left, isn't it?" Jade commented, before starting in that direction. Once they had put a bit of distance between themselves and the entrance, Jade took out her communicator. "Thalia, Edus, we've re-entered the tunnels and are heading back," Jade said simply.

City Streets
"I hear you Jade," came Thalia's response to her. Ed would suddenly hear a thud behind him, and see Thalia race up next to him. "Guessing she's switched places with Sabretooth? Sorry been a bit quiet, was mainly keeping out of sight to notice anything that might be useful, and definitely was prepared to jump in if you guys ran into serious trouble. I was about to dive in to help but as soon as Sabretooth took off running, thought that was a bit strange and followed from the air. There is a lot of people swarming at this point, and even more heading this way, she needs to switch back, sooner rather than later hopefully..." Thalia said to him.

After a moment, she noticed his injuries that Sabretooth had caused, "Since we can't go back yet with her still switched, let's attempt something with those injuries," she said to him, before she held her hand up, palm facing him. A silvery looking clock face appeared on her hand, and she turned her hand, the clock seemed to start whirling backwards, and all of Ed's injuries caused by the encounter with Sabretooth would disappear, as if they had never been there at all. "Let's move a little further away, there are more coming, and they are coming from just about every direction, so staying in one place is a bad idea..."

Over with Guin (still as Sabretooth), despite her best efforts, the one guy clearly didn't think she was very intimidating as he was laughing even harder at what she had said. "Yeah, right, you sound soooooo threatening. What? Cat got your tongue? Maybe all of that roaring and growling you do has finally caught up with you, since that was kind of pathetic, such a way with words," he said in between his laughter.

"He still has sharp claws you know," the woman responded to him with an eye roll.

Down in the sewers, Jade would be able to go a little ways along, there didn't seem to be anything going on near there at the moment. Even in the sewers though, she'd be able to hear to commotion of footsteps up above on the streets as people were racing around. Other then that, nothing seemed to be going on currently.

Over with Carolina, Lance, and Pietro, the speedster looked to have a few other injuries that were healing, but his arms were definitely something that needed to be fixed sooner rather then later. "Uh, maybe we should try to fix that now?" Lance asked, but he wasn't too sure if he'd be able to rebreak the already rapidly healing bones.

"I don't think you two would be able to rebreak anything without a lot of effort, it usually isn't that easy to break bones unless you use enough force at the right angle or something," Pietro commented, but there was a bit of a strain in his voice and sounded like he was in pain. "Let's get back, we can fix it there." He was about to see about picking them back up to go race off, but he winced a bit in pain from the effort, "You know what? How about we head back by walking. Walking is nice every now and then anyway, can't just rush everywhere..."

"If you say so..." Lance commented, before walking down the alleyway and glancing to check if the coast was clear. No one was coming, and it was eerily quiet, but there was a sewer entrance a little way down the street, and he opened up the manhole cover for the other two, "Let's get going then."

Carolina looked between Lance and Quicksilver for a moment as she stretched slightly and pulled out the maps that she managed to find and took a few seconds to look them over. "At least we got what we came here for." Carolina said to the both of them when she was glad that they were able to get the blueprints of the building. She wasn't sure if she was even able to rebreak Pietro's arms anyway, but she felt bad that he was in pain anyway.

"Are you sure you didn't get hit in the head to hard? You hate walking and being still." Carolina said pointing that out which she found a little bit amusing that he suggested that. She followed behind the two of them and made her way over towards the manhole that Lance was able to find and started to climb down it and getting down to the bottom.

Cassandra rolled her eyes slightly towards Jade as she followed shortly behind her and climbed down into the manhole just above them making sure that it was closed behind her not wanting to take the chance of revealing where they had gone. Cass climbed the rest of the way down and into the sewers itself. Feeling the nasty water over her feet, she looked over at Jade she felt slightly uncomfortable with leaving the others behind.

"We should wait a little bit for the others to show up before we head back." Cass suggested to Jade as she caught up to her speaking quietly enough so that no one above them could hear her. She paused for a moment as she could hear the sounds of footsteps going on just above them. They just needed to be quiet enough so that the people above them wouldn't be able to hear them moving.

Guin couldn't help but be a little surprised that people talked like this to Sabretooth - well, people besides her of course. Did they not realize he could rip them to shreds and eat their intestines like a pack of Twizzlers? "Are you both really not scared of him?" Guin couldn't help but ask. "Not sure if you're geniuses or idiots - or maybe a mix of both. Anyways, laters," Guin finished, before stabbing herself in the eyes. On her first pass, she didn't do as much damage as she wanted - on the second, she managed to drive Sabretooth's claws into his right eye. She screamed in pain, vision now disconnected in that eye. The feeling was horrific. But luckily for Guin, it didn't have to last forever.

She switched back with a small pop!, finding herself floating in a bubble next to Ed and Thalia. "Hey, it's me, you can put me down now - and no, this isn't Sabretooth just saying it's me to trick you so you'll pop the bubble. I can prove it's me, too. Ask me anything." Thankfully, her body didn't have more aches and pains than when she had left it. Compared to the body she had just left, her own body felt amazing. And it was really nice not to have male anatomy anymore. Being in a man's body always felt much weirder to Guin than being in a woman's body.

From up above, Jade could hear the noises of people running in the streets. She figured it had to just be in response to the commotion the changeling had caused. It wasn't at all unexpected. Thalia's voice chimed in over the comms that her message had been received, so Jade was satisfied. Thalia was both at least alive and able to speak, so nothing could have gone too terribly wrong; they still had the ex-magician's assistant on their side. Cass caught up with her, saying that they should wait for the others before heading back. Jade raised an eyebrow. Waiting for them was only going to make it more likely for someone to get caught - it wasn't practical.

"Fine. We can wait five minutes, then we ought to move," Jade said. The more time they spent in this branch of the tunnels, the more likely they would be to be discovered, potentially exposing the hiding spot of the remaining X-Men and Avengers, but also tipping off the Brotherhood to their plan to take down Magneto once and for all.

Ed raised an eyebrow surprised at how Thalia healed his wounds. He could heal, but the way Thalia did it seemed like she was literally turning back time to before the wounds had happened. Now that was an interesting power. "Thank you. I'm going to keep moving away if there are more coming." He said then started moving again, away from Central Park and where the gangs of Magento's men were. He wasn't certain how far the perimeter of New York was, but he knew there was a river that divided it from the rest of the US, so he wasn't worried about wandering out of the city.

After a few more blocks he paused to look at Guin/Sabertooth, but she spoke up. Claiming to be Guin again. He didn't know much about her, but he knew there were a few questions he could ask her that Sabertooth couldn't know. "Where is Lance?" That was an easy enough question and he couldn't see how Sabertooth would know the answer. He prepared to drop the bubble around Guin if she answered correctly. If she gave some avoidance answer then he wouldn't.

"I'm a speedster, I heal faster then normal, but it is not a regenerative healing factor. So it hurts like hell and doesn't fix itself immediately. So yeah, I hate walking but currently that's the speed I'm at at the moment. Besides, kind of need my arms to be able to drag you two with me, which I can't do," Pietro said to her with a bit of a shrug. Yeah, he was hurting more then a little bit from getting thrown around a bit earlier, and he slowly ended up dropping into the sewers, wincing because it was a bit painful to lower himself down.

Lance followed along after them, before eventually dropping down to the ground. "Well, let's get going, and then we'll see about resetting your bones before they heal anymore. You think it hurts now, we might have to rebreak your bones in order to set them again properly as I said before. That is going to be the insanely painful part."

They'd be able to start walking along, and since they weren't racing along, it would take a little bit for them to be able to get back from where they were. "I forgot how slow walking can be... Seriously everything is so slow, remind me how you guys deal with this all the time?"

"I mean, just by existing and dealing with it."

Meanwhile with Ed, Guin and Thalia, she looked around, and despite how far away they had gotten, it seemed like Magneto's goons decided to start fanning out into other streets. They'd also be able to hear a loud roar echoing throughout the city, likely from Sabretooth if they had to make a guess on the source of it. "We really need to move, like, now?" Thalia ended up saying, as a few people appeared near them, and seemed to have spotted the group.

One instantly threw fire at the group, and Thalia ended up getting hit by the fireball. Her arm started to burn before it seemingly shifted to look like scales instead, though there were still scorch marks on it. "How rude..." she muttered, before time seemed to reverse a bit this time, her eyes glowing a bit. It didn't undo the damage on her arm (or the fact that her arm and hand were still covered in scales, but it did seem to cause the group that had popped up to suddenly go backwards the way they came.

"The most I can do is stall, and I can't keep it up forever... It's a bit limited how long I can keep doing that, at least until I maybe get a better hold of it..." she said to the other two, she wiped something away from her eye with her normal looking hand, and it would take a moment for it to be realized that a little bit of blood was what she had wiped away.

Down in the sewers, nothing too much seemed to be happening. Though there wasn't any indication where the others were or what was going on with them.

Carolina looked towards Quicksilver and shrugged slightly. "I mean walking isn't to bad at all really, and you get to enjoy the smaller things you know?" Carolina said to Pietro as she continued to walk along the tunnels, she didn't really like the fact that they ended up having to constantly live in the sewers since everyone had happened. She still remained alert for the most part and looked around just in case the people who they ran into decided to follow them.

She had fallen and broken her arm once when she was younger and it really did hurt quiet a bit, but she had never experienced having to rebreak it to try and fix it and it sounded really painful as well to. [color=cyan["How do you think the others are doing?"[/color] Carolina ended up asking the two of them, she knew that her sister was pretty capable of handling things but she was curious about the others as well to and how they were doing.

Cassandra nodded slightly as she leaned back slightly against a nearby wall and continued to listen in on what was going on above them, and she could still hear the movement going on above them which wasnt a good thing at all really. Then she could hear Sabertooth screaming above them. Cassandra sighed slightly as she knew that the longer that they waited the more they would be at risk of being spotted as she turned towards Jade.

"Lets get going, let Thalia, Ed and Guin know that they should find a way into the sewers, and Guin should be able to lead the way back." Cass told her, she knew that Guin could probably lead the way back to their hideout within the sewers and if they didn't end up running into resistance they should be safe.

"Where's Lance? Wow, this is failing the Bechdel test so hard right now, but anyways, Lance is off with Carolina and my boyfriend at the moment, working on their end of the mission," Guin told Ed. "Now please let me out of this bubble?" she requested. Her eyes then widened, as people caught up with them - she was a bit annoyed Ed and Thalia hadn't managed to put more distance between them and Magneto's goons - and started throwing fireballs. At least inside of this bubble, Guin was safe. But it also meant she couldn't do much to help.

"Maybe hurry up with the ix-nay on the bubble-ay?" Guin stressed, using sloppy pig Latin sarcastically. Her power required her to be able to make skin to skin contact with someone to activate it. And even beyond that, she couldn't walk up and punch someone if she was confined inside of a bubble. And Ed had to be wasting at least 5% of his magic, if not more, on keeping the bubble up - so overall, things would be a lot better for everyone with the bubble down.

"If she can't lead them back, then this'll be a huge victory against Lamarckism," Jade quipped. Lamarckism was the theory that children could inherit traits their parents had acquired during their lifetime - or in this case, the idea that the Starks all inherited some sort of super intelligence gene. Jade was fairly certain that the only "intelligence" the Starks were inheriting was just an effect of having access to the best tutors and whatnot from an early age, and the money to pay for it. It was either that or likely just coincidence - not that the superhero fangirls tended to pay attention to that in their online forum posts about how smart a potential child of a Stark and a Richards could be.

"We're moving, you all should be able to find your way back," Jade said over the comms. She purposefully omitted details, such as how they should head into the sewers, in the off-chance that the group had been caught up in some of the fighting above. She didn't want to give away the resistance's location. She then motioned for Cass that they were ready to move, and Jade started to walk further into the sewer.

Ed dropped the bubble on Guin. "Thank you. Also, it couldn't pass as I am male." He said. Then turned to the approaching group that was throwing fireballs at them. He sighed. They needed cover, they needed time to get away without being seen. He also would rather not leave either of the group behind and didn't want to keep dragging a possessed Guin around. He knew possessed wasn't the right word, but he had no idea what word to use for what happened to her when she was possessing someone else.

He held up his hand and said a few words in the made-up language of his family. Orange light filled the alley between them and Magneto's goons. When it dimmed there was an opaque wall of orange force between them. "Now they can't see us. Run." He said. And took off, turning left at the end of the road and running another block before turning right. He did that a few more times. Hoping that Thalia and Guin stayed close and that with the shield wall blocking their view they could get out of there without being seen.

"I mean, I'm all for continuing to run until we lose them, maybe... Hopefully anyway," she ended up saying, really glad that Ed created a sort of barrier so they wouldn't be able to see what direction they left in. Of course, flying likely wasn't a good option, they'd be able to see her the instance she took off into the air which would end rather poorly. So it wouldn't likely end well for them. That left them with only a few options.

Glancing down the alleyway in the opposite direction, she edged that way and poked her head slightly around the corner, and looked to see if anyone was coming along that way. Thankfully, it didn't look like anyone was that way. "Alright, looks to be all clear, let's go before we end up with them coming down one of these directions..." she said, before she took off down the street, away from the sounds of people that were shouting farther along the way.

"Well hopefully they are doing alright, since there isn't much else we can do with regards to that sort of thing..." Pietro ended up saying with a bit of a shrug, though it wasn't much of one considering he didn't really want to move his arms at all. Eventually, the trio would find their way back to the central area of their little underground base, and find that currently, they were the first ones back, and they were currently the only ones there in that portion of the area anyway.

"Well, we might as well see about getting this over with. Your arms should heal in about an hour or so at most once we reset them," Lance commented, before he started looking around for a few things, "Though we probably should create splints to ensure they don't pop out of place again, we'll just have to make do with what we've got lying around here... Hey Carolina, think you can see if you can find something solid enough that at the least can be used to make the splints to keep his arms straight or something like that?" he then asked her, he managed to find a few things that he could at least use to wrap it to hold it all together.

Jade and Cass would be able to find their way to the small underground base of theirs. The tunnel that connected to it that they ended up in almost looked like a mini forest at this point, vines lining the wall, and a few different flowers scattered about, though they weren't in full bloom, as they seemed to be shut at the moment. Footsteps could be heard and Mary eventually walked into view from further down the tunnel.

"Oh, so you guys are back? Haven't seen anyone else show back up yet though, just you. Don't touch anything over here, it's basically designed as a security system, if someone moves through here, I can see them and then release poison from a distance that basically stops them from getting any closer," she commented with a bit of a shrug. "Did you find out anything useful while you were racing about? Did make those plants or whatever to basically deal with a lot of the goons inside, just need a vent or something for them... Or could use them elsewhere or whatever."

Carolina nodded slightly as they continued to make their way back towards their hideout and eventually they were back and looked around for a moment. "Where is everyone else?" Carolina asked she was mainly thinking about Thor, Hulk and the Thing as she turned to Lance asking her to find some stuff for the splints and nodded. "Sure thing i'm on it." She said as she went and set down the floor plans and street maps around Madison Square Garden and went to look for some of the supplies.

Carolina knelt down and started to rummage through a pile of junk that was there and eventually found some old sheet metal that was there and made her way over towards Lance and held it out to him. "Will these do?" Carolina ended up asking him as she looked at Pietro. "Should I look for someone to ya know snap them?" She asked she knew that she didn't really have the strength to unless it was a heavy object then maybe.

Cassandra nodded towards Jade and continued to move forward through the sewers, she just hoped that the others would be alright and they'd be able to make it back safely in time. She was also worried about her sister since she didn't have a way to communicate with her or Lance or Pietro really. "We should be close by now." Cassandra said as she started to notice some more plant life that was there until they were in almost a mini forest.

Cassandra jumped slightly as Mary came out and sighed slightly as she looked at the plants that were there and nodded slightly, she didn't like the idea of getting poisoned really and dying like that either. "Don't touch the plants got it." Cassandra said as she looked back at Mary and nodded towards her. "Yep found a weak point around one of their fences when we got close, and the way we went there wasn't to many people there. We just need the floorplans of the building and we should be able to work out a proper plan from there." Cassandra told Mary at least they had the plants made now.

Jade raised an eyebrow at the near forest of plant life formed in the tunnels - and she didn't need to be a genius to figure out who had been responsible for it. She didn't know very many mutants who were attuned to plant life and lived in the sewers beneath New York City - just one rather annoying ginger met the description. And speak of the devil, that one ginger then appeared, coming from the opposite direction. "Creative," Jade said simply, looking at the plants as Mary explained their purpose.

"I imagine the others should return shortly," she added. "We should plan to move quickly once they have come back, before any major changes occur to Magneto's defenses - that weak point may not always be there," Jade said. It was possible that it was a temporary opening, one that could be eliminated at any moment - be it that same day or later that week or months from now, it was hard to say.

"I know, hence the failing rather spectacularly," Guin pointed out to Edus. She squinted, watching as a gigantic wall of orange light appeared and then solidified, forming a barrier between them and their attackers. Thalia confirmed that the coast was clear, concurring with Edus that the best course of action was to run. "Feel a bit like a Doctor Who character now, but yes, running sounds good," Guin said, before taking off at a run with Edus and Thalia. As they ran, her thoughts drifted briefly towards Pietro - running was kinda his thing, after all - had he made it out okay? Had Lance and Carolina? It felt like ages since they had split up into their separate missions.

"This way, quick!" Guin urged. There was a sewer access point a few blocks away that they should be able to go through. She managed to lead the others to it, sliding the grate open and then hopping down the service ladder, motioning for them to follow her. "Close up behind you," she said to the last person. "We aren't too far from the main area, c'mon," she added, her heart pounding from the adrenaline of the run - and the stinging pain of the deep cuts Sabretooth had given her, as she guided them through the tunnel network and back to the main headquarters.

Ed didn't understand why Guin was making a joke about the Bechdel test in this case. If she had wanted to go on a mission with one of the females then why didn't she say so? And he had asked about Lance as that was the first name that had popped into his head from the others. She was a strange one. He ran, listening to their footfalls behind him. And thankfully it was only the three of them. They didn't seem to be followed.

They ran for several blocks before Guin found an entrance to the sewer. He climbed down, ready to help Thalia with the cover if she needed it. Once that was secure he followed after Guin who knew the way back to the headquarters. If Ed had been lost above ground in a city he had never lived in before the minor apocalypse plaguing it, he was certainly lost below ground.

"Yeah, those should work... Though as for someone to snap them, all we need is a solid object and we probably can do it ourselves..." Lance commented, before he started looking around for literally anything that might be solid enough to break it. Then again, anything could work if you applied enough force right? Well, unfortunately, they didn't have anything that could do this properly. The best that he had, was either a hammer, or a somewhat large rock. The hammer probably would work a little quicker in theory. Plus could hopefully not require him dropping something on his arms multiple times.

Picking up the hammer, he walked over and cleared a sort of area on a table of sorts that they had, and he motioned for Pietro to follow, "As I said, this won't be pleasant, and even if we didn't have a low supply of pain killers, I would not use them on you since your body would burn right through it... Ready?"

"No? But let's get this over with already..." Pietro responded, before putting one of his arms onto the table and more or less prepared for the pain that was inevitably coming his way. Without missing a beat, Lance slammed the thing down, and there was a rather loud crack. Pietro managed to bite back the pain a bit, and more or less just calmly waited (or as calmly as possible when someone was purposefully breaking your bones with a hammer) for his other arm to get snapped back. After both more or less got broken again (and Pietro was trying really really hard not to scream, it would be a bit obvious at that point) Lance managed to pop the back to the correct positions, and then created the two splints for his arms.

"As I said, that should work, for the moment anyway... We'll check in like, half an hour or so to see if you need to wear those things any longer..."

"Agreed, the sooner we at least make the attempt the better..." Mary commented, before heading back towards the main area of the base. As they got closer, they'd hear voices, as well as what sounded like something breaking, and once they got there, they'd run into Lance, Pietro, and Carolina, with the speedster obviously at this point wearing makeshift splints on both of his arms. "You guys got back then alright? How'd things go."

"Could have gone better..."

Meanwhile, Thalia was racing along, before they eventually reached a sewer entrance. Being the last one to climb down, she dragged the cover back over. Not a moment too soon it would see, as a few moments later, there was the sound of footsteps above them running around the streets. "Well that went well..." she muttered under her breath, before following after Guin. "Wonder how things went for the others..." They also would be able to hear what sounded like something breaking, before running into where everyone else was.

"So, since just about everyone is here now, what happened while you guys were out and about, and what sort of info did you discover?" Mary asked, jumping straight to the point for this now.

"I'll uh stay over here then I guess." Carolina told both Lance and Pietro as Lance was able to find a hammer, she closed her eyes and flinched slightly as she heard a sickening snapping sound as Lance brought the hammer down on Pietro's arm. She half expected to hear him letting out a scream but surprisingly she didn't hear him scream which was probably a good thing then. "How are you feeling?" Carolina asked Pietro turning as Lance started to put on the makeshift braces for Pietro's arms, feeling bad that he was in a lot of pain at the moment.

A few seconds later both Mary, Jade and Cassandra came into the room, she approached her sister and gave her a tight hug she took a step back as she looked towards Mary before going over to grab the two maps that she managed to find while there. "I managed to find the building plans, and a map for the surrounding area around the building." Carolina said as she set them down on the table and started to spread it out. "What about you guys, and did you get the plants set up?" Carolina asked Mary.

Cassandra nodded slightly they should probably strike as soon as they could, even though they might be a little bit more alert, the sooner that they can get a plan set up together the sooner they could put an end to all of this. "Sounds good to me then." Cassandra said as heard what sounded like something snapping she started to follow shortly behind Mary and back into their secret little hideout. She looked over to see Lance, Pietro and Carolina as she returned the hug. "Are you alright?" Cassandra asked as Carolina nodded towards her, as her sister watched to see her grabbing two things.

At least they were able to find what they needed as Cassandra turned to look at Mary asking what they had found out as she looked over at Jade for a second. "One side seems to be pretty lightly guarded with a small opening in the wall that we could sneak into, i'm not sure what Thalia, Ed or Guin were able to find though." Cassandra answered.

Jade raised an eyebrow, noticing the rather shoddy splints on the speedster. "It went that well, then?" she posed. She wasn't entirely surprised to learn that Carolina, Lance, and Pietro had ended up into trouble - trouble that cost the speedster his arms. The main thing that concerned Jade was she didn't know if Pietro would really be able to participate then in the next phase of their plan. If his arms wouldn't be healed, as Jade suspected, then that would be a significant damper on their ability to move quickly - unless, of course, Pietro could carry people with his teeth as he ran. "How long does it take your arms to heal typically?" Jade then asked, going right to the point.

The others then showed up, looking a little worse for the wear. But at least, it didn't seem like the young Stark was possessed by Sabretooth anymore; just a little clawed up. "As Cass said, we found the opening we need in their defenses," Jade said. "We also confirmed that our presence here in the city and the government's plan to send nukes has been leaked to Magneto, which is unfortunate but not surprising."

Guin was relieved to see that everyone had made it back mostly okay. Her eyebrows knitted with concern, seeing Pietro's injuries. She was used to seeing him hurt, but rarely his arms - usually, something happened to one of his legs. He had been avoiding fights for most of the time they'd been trapped in this city, rather than running into them. What the hell happened? she mouthed to him, tilting her head. What exactly had happened with Lance, Carolina, and Pietro while they were gone? Were they attacked by some sort of book demon?

"We didn't encounter anything useful - well, I managed to switch with Sabretooth and found out that he really doesn't demand the same sort of respect and fear he used to from people, which is interesting but ultimately not suuuper helpful," Guin said. Her wounds still ached and she knew that they were going to scar. But that was fine. She was honestly a little surprised at herself for thinking that she'd be around long enough for them to scar. Odds were, they were going to die in the next 24 hours or so.

Rejoining the others Ed was glad everyone had made it back rather unscathed. Lucky Cassandra and Jade had little to deal with. "We ran into a few groups. Mostly avoided issues, except with Sabretooth. I fear they'll be expecting something from us. We should enact our plan at a weird time." He wished he knew when the changing of the guard happened, if at all. It may be that the people they found would camp out too. They didn't have enough information and would be doing this half blind.

He looked to Pietro. "I can heal that if you'd like." He offered. He wasn't certain what had happened to break both of Pietro's arms, but that couldn't be fun. They also couldn't afford to be down anyone, especially someone with a power as useful as the speedsters. If Pietro consented he would heal him.
