I see, that information is helpful. If you think it would be fun and engaging to play that character, then that's fine. There are some other characters engaged in teeth-clenched team work, so as long as he sticks with the others that's also fine. That does sort of render the weakness "doesn't work with others unless he has to" somewhat pointless, and would be better suited as a personality trait. Maybe some sort of weakness relevant to his fighting ability.

I do think that revival once per month is still pretty weak. For reference we have one character who can revive once every three minutes, although I probably won't permit something of that frequency again. You can choose something else if you like. By the way, if you intend for him to be able to use that crossbow, you should include crossbow bolts in his inventory.

Ok, so instead of that, would 'not very vocal about his opinions' work? As for my power, how about this. Perinu's Grace allows him to retreat away from any battle against anything, but only so far away. If enemies can predict where he will land, there is a short cooldown, maybe thirty seconds and during that time, if he was to even be hit by a pebble, he will die. That is to say, they can easily kill him.

'Not very vocal about his opinions' isn't exactly a combat-relevant weakness either. That adjustment for Power is fine though.

How about: Doesn't understand traps or how to avoid them. Is that a combat weakness?

You could probably word it a little different. Call it 'Tunnel Vision' or something, say he gets too focused on combat to notice traps or the like? You're allowed some leeway after all

Well, he does understand some traps (Sawblades, Spikes, Flaming Dart Shooters, Pits of Lava) but other than that he doesn't understand. He doesn't get too focused on combat to miss the traps he knows about since he's had to deal with them for almost a year every time he goes into the dungeon. Since some traps exist in other games that do not in the Dungeon, he does not know how they work and is vulnerable to them.

Once I make the edits, may I move my char to the tab?

I'd like to see the completed sheet in its entirety before it's approved, just to make sure.

I added the Stone of Aegis (It is part of the altar in the real game) to his inventory, which by touching when a certain level (It is usually 30, but since this is word count based, maybe level 5 or 10? That permanently augments his health and skills. Also, I have a question. How will we handle the crossbow? In the game, it has no reload time, and ammo is infinite. You can use it as long as you hold down the left click on the mouse. I'm assuming that's not how it works in this game.

@Lugubrious

Thank you for the notice. We probably don't need to worry about the Stone of Aegis since people's 'stats' just sort of ambiently go up as people gain levels, making higher-level PCs notably stronger than low-level PCs. Instead, you can spend Level Upgrades on stat boosts and new skills if you so choose.

As for the crossbow, there are infinite ammo weapons in this world. No reload and infinite ammo would probably mean that the bolts are very weak in this world though, little more than darts. Quirks like 'infinite ammo' are definitely worth noting in descriptions for gear or stuff in general.

Definitely. That's why I'm adding Coblovina. Four second invincibility, 40% cheaper items, More Gold, Magic Shield, many things are from the game that seem useful. Oh, and Double Jump and Triple Jump.

I can lower this, but is 7-9 damage weak or too strong for the cbow? Last question so I don't end up becoming annoying, is 8-10 damage too strong for a weapon that is stated to attack 3.03 times a second and have infinite durability like everything else in the game?

That looks like the old version of the Power and there isn't any of the pertinent information about the equipment, Strength, or guest list. We don't use exact numbers for damage and health in this RP, so I can't give you any concrete feedback about damage numerically, but if you can just hold down the trigger of any weapon and shoot three bolts a second forever, it's not going to be very strong. Probably equivalent to throwing darts, like I said. Since this Coblovina would be somewhere out there in the world, it might also be a while before this person can begin to convey all those abilities to Adventurer.

Much obliged! The only thing left is the Power then, which currently reads 'Perinu's Grace (Allows for revival once per month, allows for escaping any scenarios against any enemies once HP hits 0. This works forever but can only bring him so'. The 'crude' starting crossbow being unbreakable is new. I'll just say, not everything functions just like it does in various games that might not have durability systems; it makes more sense that only unbreakable weapons in games that do have durability, like the Master Sword in BOTW, would be really unbreakable.

That's just the name. It is an unbreakable crossbow. Just check the stat page for it. Dungreed doesn't have a durability system because you have to get through 13 floors, and that usually involves making a build. Should anything break, that ruins the build. Therefore, I think It should follow that all Dungreed weapons should have no durability.

Oh, and I fixed the power!

Big maybe but since I've found a better device to post from (My Ps4) I've been thinking about applying again, this time permanently. Might get to work on a sheet tonight before bed. :D

Well, we're not exactly operating on Dungreed logic, but World of Light logic, which involve meshing together a whole lot of different genres in a way that makes as much sense as possible. In the medium of writing, things are a lot more open-ended than pretty much any game out there. Special characteristics are less 'just the way it works' and more like powers unique to people and equipment. If something like a normal crossbow is unbreakable, then you could do something like lay it on a train track and derail the whole train as it gets caught beneath the wheels. Allies or NPCs can mend equipment if it does get damaged, so you're not up the creek without a paddle if you do run into the consequences of your actions. Flexibility is up there with teamwork as something that's important to the game.

Good luck with that! Just remember, hardware is only the first step. Longtime and steadfast commitment is the hard part. But I'm sure you can do it once you set your mind to it!

@Lugubrious Btw I'm really set on my character being Benedict from Triangle Strategy, a game I've been playing extensively as of late. And a character I feel like I will absolutely enjoy playing. Hope that is alright, oh and I started playing FF 14 awhile ago. Now that I know who the Admiral was I found myself remembering the whole Limsa thing. It was cool.

I get that. Will this apply for other games too though? I just ask because as far as I can tell, most of these games (referring to the games the characters not including mine are from) feature only unbreakable weapons. Also, making a build is not a Dungreed logic thing, it's a 'Most roguelites do this' type of thing.

Titles I know that do not have breakable weapons include: Enter the Gungeon, Exit the Gungeon, Hades, Elden Ring, Spelunky 1 and 2, Dungreed, Link's Awakening (again), Terraria, Stardew Valley, etc.

Granted, some of those do not require builds, but many do.

I guess for the sake of the rp though if I must, maybe only Legendary and Rare weapons don't break ever since they are rare outside of red crystals and skull chests and cursed chests.
