I should've asked this before but would it be okay if I were to create a Medic? Like someone who doesn't participate much in combat but is there to back up the team especially when it comes to tending to their health and injuries? Or maybe a Medic that is a rookie who is on the field to build combat experience while overseeing the health of her team?
_______________________________________________ D A T A Full Name - Ravanor Kell Designation - Runt Species - Krogan Age - 150 (b. 2032) Origin - Tuchanka, Aralakh System Classification - Sentinel Unique Specialization - Bastion/Defensive Biotic - P S Y C H E Warrior Scholar Kell was not raised as most Krogan children are. His mentor and father figure, Ghormund, drilled into him the value of knowledge- a warrior's best weapon is their mind. Tactics, strategy and military history were the primary curriculum. Philosophy and the sciences were taught where Ghormund deemed necessary, though as Kell grew older he developed his own fascination with the thinkers of the Milky Way's past. He has read extensively the writings of Asari Matriarchs, Valluvian Priests of Palaven, and enlightenment-era earth philosophers. A Joyous Heart Ravanor Kell is not the angry, violence-hungry monster most Krogan are painted as. He instead finds the joy in nearly all things: he loves the beauty of nature as much as a sporting fight between equals. He's quick to make friends, always offering a drink to a stranger before a closed fist. Honor Bound Another important lesson Ghormund beat into Runt's thick skull was the necessity of honor. Promises were ironclad and could not be bent, broken or 'amended' once agreed to. Kell has also developed his own strange version of chivalry: he will never harm an unarmed opponent, will always accept surrender, and prefers a duel to any other form of combat. E Q U I P M E N T M-300 Claymore Originally manufactured by FRM Technology, the M-300 Claymore is a rare weapon to find in the Milky Way. Its original designed lacked a sufficient kinetic dampening system, meaning every shot fired could break the arm of all but the toughest users- making it useless to nearly every race in the galaxy save the Korgan. Kell stole his off the corpse of a Blood Pack mercenary on Omega. He calls it 'Diplomacy.' M-6 Carnifex The Carnifex is a highly accurate hand cannon commonly used by mercenaries and some law enforcement. This M-6 is nearly as old as Kell himself and was gifted to him at a young age by his mentor, the battlemaster Ravanor Ghormund. Kell calls it his 'Lover's Kiss.' Polaris V The Polaris V is an older model of biotic amplifier produced by Kassa Fabrication. Kell's was bought off the black market on Tuchanka and requires regular maintenance to prevent excess fluid build-up in his spinal cord, but it offers a powerful biotic shield that has saved his life countless times. R E C O R D Battle in the Kraddack Wastes Kell's first significant engagement yet still one of the bloodiest battles he's seen. Hired by Clan Nakmor to drive off a band of raiders, Kell and Ghoramund found themselves entangled in a months-long feud. It was a grueling campaign of poisoned drinking water, midnight raids and constant shelling. The horrors he saw there shaped much of Kell's worldview as he tried to leave those dark days behind him. The Skyllian Run In 2165 Kell played escort to an independent colonization effort in the Skyllian Verge. Beset on all sides by slavers, pirates and rival mercenary companies, he found himself knee-deep in blood for nearly eight years. This was Ravanor Kell's first time around humans and he found the young, upstart species so fascinating that he determined he'd visit their homeworld someday. The colony was eventually destroyed from orbit by a batarian warship, and Kell has yet to see earth. Ghoramund's End Ghoramund and Kell are hired in 2176 to protect a former Thessian government official from would-be assassins. These 'assassins' turned out to be a squad of Asari commandos that decimated the entire protection detail in minutes. The two Krogan fought a running battle against the commandos, barely reaching safety- though their employer was dead and Ghoramund was left crippled. C O N N E C T I O N S Ravanor Ghoramund Ravanor Ghoramund is a battlemaster of some renown. Ancient even by Krogan standards, Ghoramund fought in the final years of the Krogan Rebellions and witnessed the genophage's deployment firsthand. He was immensely disappointed by the regression of his culture into senseless violence and decided he ought to do something about it. Thus he sought to rise as warlord of his clan, only to be tossed down and cast out. He claimed parentage of Ravanor Kell before leaving the clan behind, intent on raising the boy to follow in his footsteps. Five years past he suffered a debilitating wound that left him unable to walk. He now spends his days in a cushy retirement on the Citadel, content to provide his wisdom and stories to any who might seek them out. Yamora D'seeren One of Kell's oldest friends, one-time love and a reliable information broker, Yamora is a relatively young Asari with a small network of contacts across the Milky Way. She acts as Kell's 'booking agent-' she finds jobs that fit his particular set of skills and personal quirks. She can also be relied upon to dig up any information Kell might need while on a particular mission, provided he has time to wait for her own agents to act. Van Borse Van is a volus weapons merchant and engineer based out of Omega. He's an ill-tempered man prone to bouts of ineffectual violence, yet Kell comes to him for help all the same. There's no one else he'll turn to when his armor is damaged or he's in need of a new gun. | Physical Details ◢ Ravanor Kell never stopped being the runt of the litter. At only 6'8 and two hundred and eighty pounds, some might even consider him lithe for a Krogan. His skin is a shade paler than most, contrasting sharply against the dark coloration of his head crest. Old, crimson scars dot the crest and his face; the largest mark is a single, deep cut around his throat from ear to ear. His once shining armor of blue and black has been reduced to a dull, pock-marked hunk of metal after too many years of service. Personal History ◢ Ravanor Kell was born on Tuchanka in 2032. Despite being the smallest and weakest of his clutch Kell was one of only three to survivor past infancy. An old male of his clan, Ghoramund, claimed the right of parentage over him, adopting him from the female clan and taking Kell under his wing. That old Krogan saw the rest of his people as vainglorious, unambitious and doomed to extinction if they remained on their current path. As a battlemaster, Ghoramund was one of the most powerful biotics and skilled combatants in Clan Ravanor; he hoped to use that power and influence to take the warlord of Ravanor's seat for himself in the hopes that he could steer his people along a better path. He failed. The warlord cast him out instead of claiming Ghoramund's head. Beaten but not broken Ghoramund sought out the female clans and claimed Kell as his own. He hoped to raise the boy to someday become the leader he was not. Their first operation took them out into the wastes of Tuchanka where they stood against a group of ruthless marauders attempting to wipe out Clan Nakmor. It was a brutal campaign that lasted many months, and Kell nearly lost his life when one of the raiders slit the Krogan’s throat in his sleep and left him to bleed out; it was only by chance that Kell survived the encounter. It was after leaving the wastes behind that he decided to embrace a more respectable means of waging war. Over the next century and half the two Krogan traveled Tunchanka and eventually the rest of the galaxy together. They worked as mercenaries for employers Ghoramund deemed worthy causes, and he used every job as an opportunity to teach Kell what it meant to be a true warrior. Every moment they were not fighting was time they spent in their studies, enriching their minds and bodies alike. It was a spiritual experience for the young Kell and he cherished every moment of it. Their travels brought them into contact with everything from the Blood Pack on Omega to Thresher Maws on distant worlds to Batarian pirates in the Skyllian Verge. Their adventures together came to an end when Ghoramund was crippled by an Asari commando in 2176, five years ago. The old man chose a quiet life of retirement on the Citadel, using the funds he'd earned over the centuries to live lavishly. He urged Kell to continue his travels throughout the galaxy so that he may gain the strength and allies needed to eventually return home to Ravanor to set the clan right. Kell was trepidatious about working on his own for the first time, but it seemed an exciting opportunity to grow beyond his mentor's shadow. Combat Analysis ◢ Ravanor Kell is a master of taking and holding ground. He uses his combination of biotic talents and technology to fortify particular areas and dig in, ready to drive back any threat that dares approach his zone of control. He works best in tandem with more offensive warriors who can take advantage of his protection to strike down their enemies. Kell prefers close ranged combat where he can use his Claymore to devastating affect, though he is arguably more proficient with his hand cannon, Lover's Kiss, as he's used the weapon since he was a boy. Reason for Vacating Previous Situation ◢ The wounding of his mentor and father figure drove Kell into striking out on his own. He's spent the last five years floating from job to job, taking any work that strikes him as interesting. The Exo-Geni offer was brought to his attention by an old friend of his, Yamora, an Asari information broker and one-time love of Ghoramund. |
Shucks, pretty much a krogan version of what I was writing. Back to the drawing board it is.
_______________________________________________ D A T A Full Name - Marivea Sannis Designation - Outcast Species - Turian Age - 62 (b. 2121) Origin - Digeris, Apien Crest Classification - Infiltrator Unique Specialization - Saboteur, Designated Marksman - P S Y C H E De-escalator "The unit is your best weapon, stronger than the sum of its components." And Marivea understands that like any machine made of multiple parts, the unit doesn't work if there is friction or incompatibility between its components and tries to ensure smooth operation. Pictures or it didn't happen Since the debacle at Shanxi, Marivea has been slow to trust second-hand information, going out of her way to verify everything in person or at least from multiple sources to the point of obsession. Deeds, not words Like most turians, Marivea is a merciless meritocrat. She will walk on water if she has to for people who have proven themselves deserving, but has little patience for those who have not earned their position and will not hesitate to voice her concerns. E Q U I P M E N T M-97 Viper Rapid-fire military sniper rifle. Incredibly accurate and deadly at long range, these weapons are popular amongst infiltrators and assassins. Very effective against armor; somewhat effective against shields and biotic barriers. Rosenkov Materials developed this deadly weapon in response to the rising prevalence of kinetic barriers. While kinetic barriers still offer some protection from this weapon, its sheer power and rapid rate of fire make it capable of quickly killing almost any target, regardless of its defenses. Phaeston Named after a turian spirit of creation, the Phaeston was engineered to provide the best possible balance between accuracy and firepower in a machine gun. Each shot is tempered by kickback dampeners inside the shoulder stock, which lets the Phaeston pack more punch than other weapons its size without sacrificing precision. Its fully automatic fire and relatively light weight has turned the Phaeston into the turian infantry's primary go-to weapon. Logic Arrest Omni-Tool An Omni-Tool manufactured by Ariake Technologies offering unmatched shield support. Silver A five-year-old varren trained for detection, tracking, intimidation and apprehension, purchased by Marivea as a pup in 2179. R E C O R D Retaking of the ATS Taselas An asari transport ship captured by krogan extremists intending to ram it into a turian research outpost a few systems over in 2161, the hijackers failed to take the Zenith personnel on board into account. After making their way to the cargo bay to retreive their equipment, they damaged the ship's propulsion and set a trap in the engineering section, venting half of the hijackers into space before mopping up the rest. Helmet camera footage from this raid released to the extranet opened Zenith Security's door to bigger contracts as it made employers outside of the immediate vicinity of Ilium aware of them. Anhur Rebellions In her final years with Zenith Security, Marivea stood on the abolitionists' side throughout the three-year duration of the Anhur Rebellions, serving as skirmishers deployed to harass flanks and strike at Na'hesit back lines. Retaking a nickel mine at Gilead In 2181, the stony dwarf planet hosting several nickel mines became the target of a Batarian raid, taking over one of the mines and the miners present. Marivea was among the four-man team hired by the Tenkarra Mining Consortium to free them, the squad having succeeded in a matter of hours of their arrival using a combination of electronic warfare and violence of action. C O N N E C T I O N S Valyxe T'Keli An Ilium-based lawyer knowledgable of numerous movers and shakers throughout the Attican Traverse and mother of one of her Zenith ex-colleagues. Although she blames the Zenith personnel for her daughter's abandonment of studies in favor of mercenary work, both are smart enough to keep personal relationships out of business transactions. Venari Quilin A turian vanguard, ex cabal member, fellow Relay 314 incident veteran and and Marivea's close friend since 2160, Venari is the current commander of Zenith Security and owner of the Amethyst Avenger, a decomissioned asari light frigate used by the company. Colonel Arter Habsis (ret.) A turian special forces officer, Marivea's training officer and one of the few who remains convinced of her innocence. Though now retired and spending most of his time writing his memoirs, he remains in good standing among the turian special forces community and promised everyone in Marivea's platoon that they could count on his help if they needed it. Kharos Ren'dobar The batarian mastermind behind the failed Gilead mine takeover. The operation itself was a desparate hail mary to salvage his social standing, and the loss of the majority of his task force and the expected profits from the mine caused his status to come crashing down completely. Although reduced to nobody back home, Kharos still has some friends outside of the hegemony and a bone to pick with the four people who sealed his downfall. | Physical Details ◢ Standing at 194 cm (6'4") and weighing 83 kg (183 lb), Marivea is thinner and more spindly than your average turian thanks to growing up in Digeris' weaker surface gravity. She uses a set of customized Ariake Technologies medium Mercenary Armor. Outside of armor, her attire leans heavily on the baggy, practical side with human influences and turian military surplus. Personal History ◢ Marivea was born in Apparitus on Digeris. She studied computer science before beginning her national service at 15, serving the Apparitus police force for eleven years, first as a patrol officer and later attaining SWAT marksman and varren handler certifications. In 2147, she transitioned to military service for the remainder of her national service. With the national service behind her and a decent range of qualifications, Marivea decided to stay in the military, applied for and made the cut to turian special forces, attaining the post of platoon sergeant in 2155. Which is where the Relay 314 incident caught her, with her platoon joining the first wave to land on the surface of Shanxi. In its early stages, mere days after the turians had gained a foothold on the planet, Marivea's unit was tasked with neutralizing a staging ground for a human counterattack. As the target was located in a dammed valley, the decision to blow the dam and flood the encampment was made, being easier, cheaper and less environmentally destructive than deorbiting a piece of debris and dropping it on the target. But the intelligence analysis department made a severe misstep, as what they marked a staging ground had in truth been an improvised medical complex. After the armistice, the intelligence Major who signed off on the strike managed to cover his back and everyone involved in that incident was thrown out of the military without as much as a "Thank you for your service". One day in late 2159 while working as a short-order cook on Ilium, Marivea ran into a collection of malcontents who were in the process of forming a mercenary band. The crowd sat right with her, so she packed what she had and kissed Ilium goodbye. Though made up of a platoon's worth of questionable individuals, the group - Zenith Security - were good enough to survive their jobs and smart enough to keep their activities mostly legal and not to piss on the chips of any of the major Terminus mercenary organizations or the Systems Alliance once they established a presence across the Traverse, growing in size to a company over two decades of operation. A rift eventually formed between two groups within Zenith as members aged and left, one preferring a controlled approach, the other opting for a more aggressive stance. Marivea tried to mend the rift before it tore the company apart, but the minds of turians and salarians did not seem compatible with batarians and krogan, not to mention the humans who seemed incompatible with each other more often than not. Seeing no solution, Marivea bode her comrades a sour farewell in late 2179 and left the band on good terms before the company split into two separate entities a year later, the moderates retaining the Zenith Security brand while the splinter faction formed their own company, Supernova. Having left Zenith behind, she turned to freelancing, moving from the Traverse and into Alliance space proper, where driving back and in some cases hunting down batarian raiding parties proved to be a constant source of employment until she got the offer from ExoGeni, presumably on the back of her work against the Hegemony slavers. Combat Analysis ◢ "If the enemy doesn't know you were there until the next day or until you start shooting, you did well." Marivea holds these words - spoken by her training officer, then-Lieutenant colonel Habsis - sacrosant. A combat pragmatist to an extreme degree, if it must come to shooting, she prefers to keep her distance and hinder the enemy with tech to make picking them off from afar easier. Reason for Vacating Previous Situation ◢ Not vacating a previous position as much as completing one contract and moving onto the next, Marivea saw the ExoGeni offer as a breath of fresh air, potentially adding more "smart" work on top of providing security and working with a regular team again. |
I am a little puzzled that an assault rifle is her sidearm. Seems like she's got a lot of weight on those back holsters.
The reasoning was a fallback weapon for close range. Phaeston pretty much fit perfectly: turian, high RoF, fluff mentions recoil dampers.
Carrying two or more long guns is neither unseen in universe nor particularly impossible, but I'll swap it out if it's a problem.
