I'm torn between three ideas, so I'll leave it up to yall which one I bother to flesh out.

The Dark Priest: A priest from a horrid and brutal world, this practitioner of the mystic arts was struck down, and now finds himself in a new place.

The Faded Legend: A legendary soldier and tactician, this man has been molded into the sinulacrum of the world's greatest warrior, and now acts as him. You are me, and I am you....we're two halves of the same whole.

The Forsaken Brother: A villain in his world, this being was once a happy constructor, cold and logical, along side his brother who was bright and loving. His coldness however led to his brother exiling him, trapping him away as he watched his brother drag in beings across the universe who destroyed their own worlds, and who then brought devestation to their world. The Forsaken Brother watched his world be ravaged, and when his brother was slain, made preperations to destroy those who had defiled his world, and despite all they had done, avenge his brother's murder. However, those who murdered his brother came, and destroyed him as well...but as he faded, a mystical event pulled him into a new world, one now open for him to bring order to.

@supertinyking: This isn't an RP for OCs, it's for canon characters from existing media.

Well, said it so I didn't have to. Anyways, proper form evaluations.

@Crimson Flame: Please condense the power section on Danny as requested prior. Also, I still need an answer on what the thermos might do in those edge cases (and I assume it doesn't need any power source? If it does, we might have a problem).

@EchoWolff: Hm... Fair enough. Joker fine. Accepted.

@Lugubrious: Lewa fine. Accepted.

To the two of you: move forms to Characters tab whenever.

So I suppose it's about time I threw my own form on the pile, then.

I should probably note my interest here, too. I guess I'm leaning towards Roxas, but I'll have to see if there's anyone else I'd like to play.

Oh, I know. Each of those is for a cannon character.

1st is Enki from Fear and Hunger

2nd is Venom Snake from MGS:5

3rd is Mithrix from Risk of Rain 2

@supertinyking: Oh, sorry, since you didn't note character names and I didn't know them off the top of my head I didn't know. ^^;

In that case, a really quick look over each makes me a little concerned about Mithrix since he's described as having godlike powers, but then again godlike powers is a bit hard to quantify across settings.

Incidentally, I'll probably have my own character up soon. It took a little bit to decide.

@Crimson Flame: If you could, please compress the powers section a bit more. It's still... Really long. Having two thirds of the form be just powers doesn't help, and the formatting is also a bit rough.
For example, you could summarize the effects of his ghost form's "physical" effects in one subsection, while having another for what he can do with ecto-energy with another, and so on. Makes it easier in the future if Vita or I need to reference things in the future.
Am I also correct in assuming that Danny is taken from the end of his series' run on TV?

@supertinyking: I think if I had to pick one, it'd probably be Venom Snake, but my question on that front is how he'd handle being in a world without modern firearms. I can probably work out how to make things... Well, work? But adapting to the world is something to question here.
(I also forget if Venom Snake has the same penchant for survival as Big Boss, which is relevant in this setup, but still.)

Danny has a lot of powers. Crying emoji

Will do!

Also yes. Although tbh. I haven’t actually seen the third season, I just read summaries about it. One day I’ll get to it.

@Crimson Flame: I, uh...
That's not quite what I meant. I guess, as a point of reference, look at how the other forms that have been submitted and accepted have structured their powers/abilities section and use them as a basis. I wasn't looking for a list of pure bullet points so much as I was a few sentences or paragraphs detailing what it is the character can do in a nicely written and formatted way.

I mean, I still understand the powerset, but now the description is too sparse (as opposed to too specific).

  • Name: Lily
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: A young child with pale skin and mostly-white hair. However, there are some dark streaks in her hair, now.
  • Personality: While she is physically frail, Lily possesses a strong spirit. She has a powerful willingness to help others, even at the expense of herself. Kind and willing to try and see the good of even a terrible situation, it's this mentality that helped her navigate the decayed and blighted kingdom of Land's End. Indeed, having seen no small share of horrors in spite of her thus far short existence, she's rather difficult to frighten. However, she can be a bit nervous in social situations, having had low contact amounts of contact with people outside of her spirits. Still, she'll try her best to interact with people. While monsters are unlikely to scare her, sudden loud noises can still make her jump or remind her of particularly unpleasant experiences, so she doesn't handle people with are prone to such behavior the best(even if she tries not to be angry with them). Still, Lily is the type of person who, in spite of her lack of social experience, will try to see the good in others if she has the opportunity and attempt to make friends.

    At the same time, her experiences have also given her a somewhat harder edge: There's little hesitation in regards to having to fight. She may be a child, but facing the horrors of the Blight head on have given her the resolve to do what she must, even if she is likely to shy away from the sight of one of her summoned spirits slaying an enemy. She also possesses a curious streak, often investigating anything that seems to stand out as slightly unusual or unexpected and trying to understand it or see what it could be hiding. Given her numerous experiences with secrets and hidden doors, this is really no surprise. Recently, she has grown a little more frustrated with her own inability to speak, but the Umbral Knight's willingness to assist her mitigates this somewhat.

    She is grateful towards all of her summonable spirits, and dislikes seeming them harmed even though such harm isn't lasting. And indeed, she is still a child of perhaps 9 or 10 at most, and is thus naive of many things outside of her experience. She can also be a little too trusting in some ways, having had little experience with anyone in control of their faculties who would deceive her.
  • Brief History:
  • Universe of Origin: Ender Lilies
  • Equipment: Lily carries little on her person, save for a number of small jewels and rings that assist her in small ways(such as strengthening her barrier or making it less tiring to repair it herself). Chief among these is the Luminant Aegis Curio, a blue and silver amulet hanging from Lily's neck that is responsible for her near totally pure state, in spite of how many people she purified herself.
  • Abilities: Lily is a fragile little girl who possesses no personal offensive abilities of her own. Her only personal defense is a magical barrier, that can be broken and completely shattered with sufficient impact. She can restore it, but it is somewhat draining to do so and thus she can only do so a handful of times without rest. Additionally, she can also harden it and make it more sturdy, allowing her to deflect attacks and open enemies up for attack. Without her barrier, she has very little ability to endure harm and a single strike is likely to take her out.

    Lily's main offensive ability is summoning spirits, who also grant her some other abilities such as a speedy evasion or some measure of hovering capability. Most prominent among these spirits is the Umbral Knight, an armor-clad figure wielding a sword. The Umbral Knight speaks with an androgynous, but somewhat feminine voice, and beneath the helmet is an equally androgynous face with short, dark hair. Pretty, but displaying clear signs of being extremely worn down. Still, the Umbral Knight gladly defends and assists Lily, not only in battle but also in helping her interact with others as she is unable to speak. Among her spirits are a raven that attacks with orbs of magical energy, a hammer-wielding winged nun, a black-dressed witch with numerous mystical attacks, a hulking warrior with a mace and horned helm, a strange blobby creature, and many others. Each of them listens to her commands on how to attack and where to appear, but can also manifest on their own with limited independence in order to assist her even without her command. They can be harmed, but as soon as they disappear and are resummoned once more all damage is repaired. All of the spirits with recognizable human appearances possess grey skin and crimson eyes. These spirits are swift and powerful, far stronger and faster then a human, but may only operate within a short range of Lily herself.

    Finally, Lily's most important ability is to purify the Blight. While this may have little meaning now that the Blight is gone and this world is not her own, it also extends to purging curses and other malignant magical effects or other afflictions of a similar nature. With the possession of the Luminant Aegis Curio, doing so does not affect her at all.
  • Other: Lily is entirely mute, but the Umbral Knight assists by conveying her intentions to others most of the time.

Hoopefully I don't have to go into depth about each of her summons, there's a lot but none of them do anything that should be too overboard for the RP.

btw, if you want this to work it needs to be static.wikia.nocookie.net/enderlilies… instead of static.wikia.nocookie.net/enderlilies…

The /revision bit makes it load a local version of the image or something, so it won't work for other people

@Drifting Pollen: Anne fine. Accepted.

@VitaVitaAR: Lily fine. Accepted.

@DracoLunaris: Few things.
  • I'm going to be honest, I'm not going to be super nitpicky as to exact mana costs for skills and abilities. Going to be very hands-off on people doing stuff under the assumption that I can trust that they're not pulling some insanity by dumping all of the everything out at once. To that end, costs don't really need to exist in this context (beyond any translation of mechanics like you suggested for the card system). That being said...
  • Mana exists within the world as its own... Thing. Would that mana and the mana that the character uses fall under the same umbrella and, if so, what effects does that have in turn?
  • Dashing as you have it is a very literal translation of game mechanics to prose, which I don't think would allow for anything like "abusable iframes" in this context. Could do well enough to remove it or rephrase it to be more of a general movement option.

Yeah those numbers are more there for comparing to each other effort/power wise (Death Spiral is a big expenditure, projectile destruction explosion not so much) (and now that i write that I might have to get the rest of the actual names so i never have to write 'projectile destruction explosion' ever again), rather than for doing exact math which would be a pain in the butt

Mana exists within the world as its own... Thing. Would that mana and the mana that the character uses fall under the same umbrella and, if so, what effects does that have in turn?

Hmmm, good question. Either we make it it's own thing that only she can see/interact with ooooor, and I think this could lead to some more fun situations, it is very much floating globs of mana that anyone, friend or foe, can absorb if they have the capacity for it. But only if they have spent mana somehow, to prevent non magical foes from just reabsorbing it. Naturally this means that she would be very bad at wizard duels, because if she hits them with her bullets they are going to be able to steal the mana it produces. If we do that then she can also gain mana from other sources, potions or what have you, but either does not gain passive mana, or does so very slowly compared to the locals.

Dashing as you have it is a very literal translation of game mechanics to prose, which I don't think would allow for anything like "abusable iframes" in this context. Could do well enough to remove it or rephrase it to be more of a general movement option.>/list>

To clarify, 'dash' is a short range blink teleport rather than an iframe filled combat roll or something of the sort (traversal wise it gets used to bypass barriers/walls for more context).

If I where to rephrase it to something like: "Blink Dash: Rayne can perform a straight line teleport, warping a fixed 3 meters in any direction in the blink of an eye, with the path she takes being outlined by a visible woosh of magic and a bright flash on arrival. There is only a short half second cooldown between dashes, making it quite useful for mobility as well as dodging" would that work?

this is what it looks like in game if that helps

if that is too much we can nerf it into a dash rather than a teleport tho, which will lead to either a panicked moment where she gets hit whens he thought she wouldn't, or a funny one where she rams face first into a wall ... ok i'm honestly kinda sold on that now lol
