Yaaay, another friend to play with! Welcome... Back(?)... Anywaddles, good to hav you back with us. :)

@Expllo
Fun excersise, though I don't think I'll partake in it. Don't wanna risk making commentary or forming opinions on characters with my toon outside the IC. Never know if it'll spill over and lead to unintentional meta-gaming.

Poor Milla, she doesn't even get sympathy for surving through her entire family and household being massacred. That Hikari such a heroic guy~ ;)

I do enjoy Hikari's hypocrisy when commenting on Kreszenz. Just goes to show that Camilla's opinion on the ambitious is correct. 8D

@ExplloI like that exercise, I've done similar things in the past as well as participated in some RPs where there were New Vegas-like "Reputations" between different characters and factions. Might do something for Tristan once he's actually met everyone, showing his first impressions without the narrative to hide his "real" thoughts, lol.

@Agunimon Welcome back! Hey, at least you made it just in time lol

@Xaltwind Camilla would be the one to dramatically retell her childhood trauma in the Sharing Circle, making Hikari feel like an asshole, and then after a long silence Tristan would end up being the one who had to follow that up XD

"...I, uh...I missed the billet once on a hammer swing and broke my favorite pair of tongs..." *sadly looks down at his hand and mimics the gripping motion* "...They never slipped..."

Guess it's time to kill some... time... by searching completely subjective and highly un-asked for theme music for everyones character. Wooh.

Impressive, I can barely be bothered with a theme song when they're a requirement for the CS.

This is a writing exercise I used to do and decided to bring it back. Figured I would go ahead and post it since I have nothing to do at the moment. These are opinions Hikari has of the cast using OOC information. This is meta-gaming and should be taken with a grain of salt as it has no reflection on how Hikari will interact IC. It’s something to come back to later down the road once relationships have formed, to see the differences between the two.

Heh, fun to see this arrogant bastard's (read fondly) thoughts. Good luck to him on convincing the cast to follow him, I guess :p

Hey, @Zeroth out of curiousity, and because it might(?) be relevant for the exam, any policy on new spell creation? From the manga so far it often seems to be...desperation or need based on the short term, a result of studying/training/inspiration on the long term.

In case it wasn't obvious, those're all "joke" theme songs. :P
I've got a lot of free time on my hands after I get home from work, so I got time to spend on silly stuff like that. xD

Nice collab by the way. :)

The series proper shows that most new spells are learned/created through training, and apparently there's some implication that some forms of magic/spells can be found within the setting's Dungeons? Being that some forms of magic are more common than others, I would also assume that people with compatible magic types could somewhat "teach" their spells, or at least variations, to others.

As far as the "new spell shows up in dire moments" type stuff, Black Clover actually does a good job of tying that into character development, and not just the usual shonen last-moment turnaround tropes. The desperation and need, or the near-death experience, often serves as the tipping point to really make whatever realization stick in the character's mind, but it's their own personal growth and epiphany that triggers the spell and whatever form the spell takes will reflect that. For example, when the character Gauche (Mirror Magic) learns to rely on others instead of just himself, he learns to make mirror-image clones of himself and his allies.

In the RP, whenever a character "qualifies" to gain some new powerup or some sort, I'll notify them in some fashion. It might be a little gamified, like reaching a level up after a certain number of milestones, but I definitely want to emphasize character growth along with the classic power creep.

Oh, I know, but even that takes effort. Didn't watch/listen to them all, but Solveig's amused me for sure. And thanks!

Okay so, REALLY LONG POST has been updated! Apologies, I included a TL;DR at the bottom! If anyone's unclear on anything or has other questions, please let me know!

Feel free to do the trials in your own way, within reason of course (nobody should be able to like, completely atomize one of the stone columns or crack the audience barrier, for instance). This is a chance for the characters to really show out if they want to, with the big booms and the pew pews, before they try to test us on things that require actual brainpower/creativity! XD

Beeg post is beeg!
And very fun too. I rather enjoyed it. Those sneaky revolutionairies though... How sneaky and EVIL they are!
Now to start work on Camilla's performance~
... Which... Won't be very dramatic or spectacular. xD

Does one person go at a time, or are several people lined up? I know there are multiple columns, but would rather check. If there are multiple people and the floating platforms are close enough I suppose 'kill stealing' could happen?

People are called up one at a time per station, but Players should just post with the assumption that everyone's called in order, they're the only one on the given range at the time, and so forth. We don't need to wait for Official responses in-between posts, and other players can't really interfere in another's test...yet. *ye olde winky face*

Sorry, I meant that each "player" has their own "station," on the two sides, not that literally one person is taking up each entire testing ground at the time! The Officials are constantly replacing the tiles and columns as they're destroyed, so neither section will run out.

Think of it as like, there's an official standing there, the Player walks up, a set of the tiles floats over, and they're replaced as the player destroys them. Some distance away, there's another official, watching over another person, doing the same thing. On the other side, one official might be watching multiple columns, but if somebody's gonna use a big boom spell the officials will clear others out of the way, etc.

"Captain Bisera is crazy hot!" "I dunno, man, she's from the Witches' Forest--aren't they all psycho man-haters?" "Dude, if she let me hit it, I wouldn't care if she killed me afterward--like one of those widow spiders, ya know? Just bite my head off." "...Bro, you got problems..."

@Zeroth Just a few questions before I start writing.

What exactly are the different targets like? How big/thick are they? What are they made of?

How quickly should Kohra expect herself to run out of mana? Not being familiar with the manga, I have no idea how much power Kohra can put out before running out of mana.

What are magic bullets?
