I've been ripping my hair out for the past few days over this, going through pros and cons. So, I'm just going to straight up ask and leave it to democracy to decide.

I am not a big Discord user, but I will check in on it, though through site might be faster at times for me. Depends on what makes it easier for people.

Private threads could help in terms of collab writing or so.

@rabidbacon Keeping it vague works. I will be placing him in the festival at my next post, so we can pick up after that :)

@Mirandae I'm quite neutral on Discord, as I find that it can be useful but not a necessity. I think it's okay to have for the people who want to communicate about the RP through that service, but optional for the people who prefer to discuss matters through RPG threads and PMs. I can float between both channels if you do decide to open a Discord for the RP, though my preference is for the RPG site personally.

I have a Discord, but prefer interactions here for this RP. It's hard for me to keep track of too many sources of info, but it is a pretty nice idea. Like @Silly, I'm happy to collaborate in OOC or via PMs.

@rabidbacon To the naked eye, I'm imagining basically teleportation? (Betrayed primarily by the massive whoosh of air, because time only "seemingly stops" according to the flavor blurb, and at no point does the Odin Regalia dematerialize or blink somewhere else.) It's imperceptibly fast but not a bona-fide "time stop" power, and a great gust of air hints at that, as would any item interactions between embarking point and destination. 👍

I am pretty neutral about it, I tend to check very rarely in discord tho, so in here and PMs works perfectly fine

Alrighty! We seem to have a mix, so let's just do both. I'll set the Discord up as an option for a bit of chitchat and collaboration for those that simply feel more at home with Discord. But, it's entirely optional! I'll send the invite link out a bit later.

Before I go any further with this, I want to put out a feeler and see if this is okay with everyone. I know some people get nervous about stuff like this, so let's go through this nice and easy. There are numbers and stuff to this with player/enemy health and damage, but it will all be hidden.


Examples of basic cards:

The downside of all this is that I potentially have to make a lot of graphics, a lot. However, I'm up for the challenge. The upside is that it's very easy to use for you guys. The idea is that we'll make cards together, almost whatever you want. It becomes a sort of fun side-activity in the roleplay.

If you feel super strongly that this would be a gamebreaker and force you to quit the game, then please, please let me know ASAP.

Sort of, but it's not random. You just choose what you want from all the available cards. Cards can be character/Dominant specific, though, so those will be off-limits unless they're yours.

A hider at the bottom of the post. It would be way too cluttery otherwise, yeah.
