Still trying to find an rp to join but while searching I’ve been reading other people’s characters and it’s been fun so I’d love to read about more from y’all.
And to make it a fair exchange I’ll start first! If you can’t decided on a favorite, you can go with your most interesting or oldest, since it’s hard for me to choose too.

Melina Barlos is my second oldest character that I made when I was 11 for a server rp I never joined, originally just some stuck up kid who was an Angel and really edgy to a soldier with a tragic past just fighting to die.
Melina, or Mynt as her father liked to call her, grew up in a small sea side town with her parents and older sister. Her mother the daughter of a farmer, her father a baker, and her sister a soldier for this special group of individuals who can take out these creatures within their world. Despite her sister always being absent due to fighting on the front lines Mynt still had her parents to take care of her and the plants in the garden to keep her company. Everything was peaceful…till they weren’t.

The attack- no…the massacre didn’t leave many behind within its wake and the ones that were left were forever scarred by the event. Mynt was only a child. The years of guilt around the loss of her parents ate away at her and the isolation of not being able to see her sister due to how busy she constantly was with protecting them drove Mynt to a dark place for a long time. She ended up becoming a shut in and taking up some bad habits, only really taking solace in the few hobbies she still enjoyed. But right when she settled into her gloom, of course things had to change for the worst;she gets a call. Her sister is gone.

With not much else to do she decided to join the army, pick up the work her sister left and due her proud, right? At least that what Mynt is telling herself she want, deep down though? She knows this is just her way of begging for death. So when she dies, she’ll at least could’ve said she did something for the world and maybe that’ll be good enough for whatever sick bastard that’s watching this all play out to let her see her family again. But it’s already been a few years since then and she’s still waiting and maybe…maybe she’ll be opening that bakery she always wanted to…wouldn’t that be nice?

This is an oc from the nameless tavern that i've started to use for everything.

Loki Nicholas nightingale

Age: 19
Gender: Male usually. (shapeshifter...)
Occupation:adventurer
Abilities: shapeshifting and energy manipulation.
Skills: he can cook and fight but that's kinda it. everything else is just copying those around him.

Personality:
DEF strong headed, rly funny, either takes himself super seriously or not at all lol. kind- he fights for justice in that everyone gets what they deserve (kinda like karma) but also can forgive. While he is usually a kind person, he is trying to show his good side and tends to snap if confronted with his pride.
Biography:
Loki's consciousness has existed for eons, but due to him being in a mortal body, he only remembers the 17 years he's spent in that body. Loki used to be the norse god Loki, (I based him off of the version in marvel comics when he becomes a good guy) but his mind was banished to earth after trying to kill thor, and nearly succeeding. While other religious deities exist, they probably won't be as important to the story. Thor is watching over Loki, and pities him, hoping he can be redeemed. Odin is… stubborn. And hela thinks he should die.
Loki’s father was a silver dragon, ( a good dragon that socializes a lot ) and Loki’s mother is a kitsune. His mom was kidnapped by slaver’s who sold her for profit, and Loki is trying to find her. Loki also had a dryad girlfriend, but even though he wanted to stay with her, he had to leave her behind in order to save his mother. They ended on good terms though.
He's had a bit of experience, protecting himself from bandits on the road, but that's kinda it.
Likes:
Chaos, Animals, Humor, Debates, A good insult, and Pissing people off for literally no reason other than to see how they react.

Dislikes:
bugs and bad people.

Fears:
spooders! deep water.

Weaknesses:
Can only doggy paddle, as he taught himself to swim by watching animals. has no real social experience, due to raising himself. prone to violent apathetic moments of rage if his friends are hurt.

Other:
Has a head ghost who talks to him who only Loki can hear, named Gale. others may be able to sense him, but only Loki can speak to the ghost. the ghost is stuck with loki, to the ghosts dismay.

The key part here being a character I made, and not one made by someone else and then thrown in my lap when they bounced from an RP to see what I could do with that character (it's a lot).

Based on how often I've tried bringing them back, probably the OG Chartose. Drunken and disorderly half-elf mercenary with a crossbow, lance, and a very clever girl horse. Also present was a dwarf, who he was racist against, and a giant, who also disliked him, and a fire-elemental whom he was smitten by (and also happened to be a princess in exile operating incognito)... who also hated him.
-He's been re-imagined/re-booted/re-interpreted more than a dozen times by now, even changed species a couple of times along the way as the harbinger of well-intentioned chaos.

One of the favorite one-hit-wonders was a water-merchant I made for a fallout RP. Befriended a lone-surviving tribal and set out on a quest to free them. Ended up breaking up a brothel, recruiting an NCR ranger, made a pet nightstalker, and encountered some slavers in a tank. Originally I'd planned for him to get mortally wounded by the end of the RP, but everyone else made a very strong case that he should live happily ever after. Oh, and I never even played fallout before (still haven't), so I was just making things up as I went and had a page open to the wiki for any fan/canon info as needed. Washed that all down with a brahmin-burger with cheese and a tall glass of sunset sasparilla.

After that it's a tie between Ira Strank, Adrian Vance, Alexi Sheppard, and Specialist First class Schwartz.... Think Delta-Green meets Red vs Blue. Honorable Mention for Agent Stratton for making the most unsettling backseater in a police-cruiser when doped-up on painkillers.

See, [Foster] cared not if the mission succeeded or not, as long as it was spectacular trainwreck. Sometimes that was the host Nation firing a SCUD into a hospital to destroy a foreign infection and accidentally sparking a rebellion... or accidentally starting the Mokan Drug War.

Although those incidents are tame compared to the Task Force Atlas chronicles... doing everything from HALO insertion in the eye of a hurricane upon an erupting volcano to defuse a doomsday-weapon, to... that thing with the airship... and a mecha that thinks it's a cow.

Others would've been "that time Adrian was a werewolf", a couple of mech pilots, dragon-hunters, some shenanigans in space, and a pointy-eared fae blacksmith that was deathly allergic to iron.

Some playboy steampunk bloke who killed people with perfume. I’m not sure why he was so fun to be.

I like all my characters I play each one for a different reason. Because when I write a story or rp or whatever. I basic my characters kind of like me. But more bolder not as shy more dare devil kind of. more out going and in my stories I write my character or character like me as the same disorder I do. But she doesn't let that control her. I am still working on not letting my stuff control me.

While there are a couple of characters I consider my favorites simply because of the time and investment spent with them, there is one that was the most interesting to me. This was years ago for a high-power modern setting anime RP with an edgy tone. At the time, I did not take it too seriously, and also not something that interested too much as well, so I decided to submit a joke character as something of a test for the limits of power in the setting without being too obvious: an occult animal trainer with overpowered pets. For example, a fox that moves at the speed of light, or an indestructible elephant, or an actual dragon. Even the tamer himself had an ability to foresee and dodge attacks. All in all, I expected to either be denied or at the very least requested to tone down the power level.

To my great surprise, not only did the submission get accepted, I actually started to enjoy my time with writing the ridiculous antics of the chuuni guy and his super critter squad, and how he fared against the other crazies. The GM did well setting up the story to accommodate not only my character but also the others, with not much risk in imbalance due to establishing character motivation well. In the end the tamer met a tragic fate, but it was one I decided on, with his tale having met an end I found satisfactory. So yeah, moral of the story is, if you find an RP you don't really vibe with or take seriously enough to consider, at least give it a try, and you might be surprised at where the journey takes you.

A pair of brothers (can’t have one without the other), and up until their creation, their father was my favorite character that I’ve ever created.

warrior cat oc, i think her name was moonfoot- she was from another rp forum. i shipped her and her mate so hard :P but for drama she died in a fight, he was upset and fought to avenge and also died, and they never got approved for reincarnation.. if I go back to that rp site, maybe moonfoot will be reincarnated finally..

also a fanmade MLB oc named marianette who is marinette's identical twin but later dyed her hair. the plot for her ship was that her ship had crushed on who she thought was mari (it was maria) and at one time her ship was at their house, vibing w/ maria. maria nearly fell from the loft bed, ship caught her, pulled her up and accidental kiss, maria asked for second kiss, happily ever after :P. she definitely didn't injure herself falling from that same bed.. that rps still ongoing tho :P

A Halfling character I came up with for a planned 1x1 RP here.

My partner was going to by TyrannosaurusRex. He was going to be a sort of disgruntled Knight. A woman who wanted to avenge the loss of her family to, IIRC, another noble family.

I was going to be Malva. A Halfling woman. Her family had welcomed a couple humans in one night to escape the cold and the dark. Things had happened, it would eventually turn out to be petty and both their and her father's fault, and in the end her father ended up dead and the humans fled.

Her brother sets out to hunt them down. She ends up growing up with her mother being jealous of her brother and never really getting over the loss of both of them. Eventually she leaves her mother alone to find her brother because news of his travels and adventures in hunting the men down had spread.

That's basically the backstory. Our story was going to begin with the two meeting. Malva was a pirate who used her brains to make up for her size. Part of the story was going to be basically her coming to terms with her mistakes and her families mistakes, finding out her brohter isnt the hero she thought he was, and eventually becoming something closer to the hero she thought he was than he ever was.

We had an end planned that was maybe going to be a sort of cliffhanger tag to move into another RP but also maybe just going to be the end of it. Shame it never worked out, we talked about several plot developments in Discord before he ended up leaving here.

Still like that character. Maybe one day I'll write my part.

Probably Kira Nerest. An amnesiac whose home village was destroyed, who lived in fear of the person who took everything from her, one Kirari Arceneaux, and the sadistic tendencies she felt. She was a strange person who most others avoided, except for her commanding officer, Monika Sydow.

Through their travels together she eventually discovered that the person who destroyed her village was her. In her former life, so to speak, she had been a rogue noble from an opposing country out to "make memories" by torturing people to death in increasingly inventive ways. Her rampage only stopped when she made a mistake experimenting with her powers of bodily control: attempting to seize direct control of someone's brain. The ensuing power struggle left her consciousness in her victim's body, and her victim's consciousness in hers, with her memories and Aia's soul lost in the fray.

She managed to cling to a sort of bootlegged morality in her new life, after discovering her identity, through the human connections she hadn't ever really made before. Eventually, she made a deal with, well, essentially God, to recover Aia's soul in exchange for something. Due to the nature of Love in this universe, and the twisted actions of the current Goddess of Faith and Love, she needed a replacement for the latter with sadistic tendencies. Kirari gave up her existence and became the new Goddess, with everyone she ever knew forgetting she existed, the only trace of her being journals she left behind and a note left in Monika's pocket to let her find them. Kirari, now Kartia, will spend the rest of eternity atoning for her cruelty.
