Fury didn't look amused but the act but answered his question. "With Dr. Strange. If nothing else I'm heading out myself." He turns to head out as walks away. "I'm counting on you Wade Wilson." And walks out of the building before disappearing."

Wade blinked and said “but I don’t know where strange is! Well this is starting out great” he took the rest of the wraps and went out the back door to head back to his place, humming ‘Bye Bye Bye’ in his head as he did so.

After a few blocks he suddenly heard a scream and stopped dead, mostly because snarling was following the screaming. Deadpool took off towards the sound, checking his blades and pistols while he did. “Knowing my great luck, this is a mutation gone very wrong”

On having made his way toward the sounds of snarling and screaming, Deadpool comes upon a sight of a young woman and a large Wererat. The Wererat looks likes it's going for the woman who is cornered.

Deadpool stared and said “well this is new…” he jumped in front of the girl and pulled her up behind him. “Okay sweet heart. When you see any opening, make a run for it. I’ll hold the mascot of New York here…” he pulled his blade out, now wishing he knew the time limit on these mutations.

"Y-Yeah...." The young woman said as she waited for the stranger to give her that opening.

The Wererat made a move for Deadpool, going for slashing it's new prey and with such speed and strength. It made it's attacks unrelenting.

Wade crossed his swords and caught the attack and yelled “go now! Run!” He kicked the rat back and jumped to try and take it down without killing it. He knew an innocent person was in this rat.

The young woman ran when told and as fast as she could.

The wererat took the kick but when Deadpool jumped, the Wererat took that to go in close and slash at the merc.

The slash hit and he went flying into a wall and slid down; blood poured out of his chest. He looked down and said “well that’s not good…might need some help here…” he slowly got up, watching the rat

The wererat got up and rushed after Deadpool going for another slash when a punch struck the Wererat's cheek and sent the rat flying. "Alright bub. Why don't we take it easy." The gruff voice announced and the voice walks from the shadows to reveal Logan. "You alright there Wade?"

Wade looked over and said “umm Logan? I’m not healing…” he looked down at his wound which wasn’t healing. He blinked and said “I got this…we have to contain this guy till we can figure out if his human or not…”

Logan can see what Wade made evident about his healing factor not working and seemed confused himself. He looks to the sound of shuffling to see the Wererat get back up. "Got ammo that doesn't do any damage?" He asks.

The wererat makes his move and goes after Logan and makes his attack which he blocks with his claws that spring forth from between his knuckles.

Wade suddenly had his pistols out and was firing at the neck of the rat. Rubber shots. He fired until the rat was hit in the pressure point he was aiming for and went down.

After a few tense moments Wade stumbled back, his pistols hitting the ground. “Logan…you…hit?”

Logan watched as the Wererat fell and not getting back up but knocked out. "No." He then turned to look at Wade. "Shit Wade." He jogs over to the merc as his claws retract. He examines the damage. He picks up Wade's pistols and helps him get to his motorcycle which is sitting just outside the alleyway.

Getting the Merc on the motorcycle then putting his pistols back in their holsters. Logan gets on, turns it on. "Hold on Bub!" He shouts over the engine waiting for Deadpool to comply. Once he does, Wolverine head out in a hurry.

Wade stumbled forward till Logan caught him, his blood all over now. “Better let…Fury…know…so someone can…pick up the rat thing…” he stumbled with Logan but his vision was failing fast. It had been a while since he blacked out from blood loss.

Deadpool nodded weakly and said “ya we better…better..” then he fell forward against Logan, blacking out.

"Better stay awake on me Wilson!" He shouted over the wind as they moved.

"Damnit Wade!" Was the last think Deadpool could hear.

When Wade's comes to, he is in a white sterile room. Beeping could be heard and shuffling heard with the source being Nick Fury as he was reading something on the tablet in his hands.

Wade groaned, turning his head as his vision came in blurry and out of focus. He turned his head and muttered “oh good…not dead…last time Madonna was playing…” he tried to sit but cursed as pain shot thru his whole body. He saw the fuzzy outline of someone and said “where…did I…”

Wade sat up a bit and looked at his chest and saw the blood on the bandages. He moved the wrappings carefully and said “well I am now. It’s starting to close up like normal. It was when that rat hit me…maybe something about it made my powers hit the pause button or something. Is Logan okay? Did your guys find that thing?” He tried to move again but pain hit again and he cursed, holding his chest.

"Easy there cowboy. You were there only one that came out of it with the lacerations. From what was gathered from the Wererat, he had some kind of healing factor nullification to their claws. How is uncertain. It seems that your healing factor got nullified for about 6 hours." Fury explains. "I'd say to take it easy till your healing kicks in fully."

Wade sighed and laid back down then asked “how long was I out for? Was Logan pissed at me? I remember him cursing at me when I blacked out…wait wererat? So there is a person in that beasty?”
