Karako looked over and promptly facepalmed at the sight of Kamille dancing. That kid was certainly something else. First he was angry and now he was a steaming hot mess.

"It's, uh...kinda his first time drinking but good god." she muttered.

"Ha...talking 'bout my GodZanger, are ya?"

Karako snapped out of her moment of secondhand embarrassment. So he was the one who'd dropped a mountain on that terrorist mech. She hopped up and followed him over to Kamille who was now coughing and sputtering over the taste of the tequila. He definitely preferred the adult koolaid.

"...the hell was that?!" he slurred.

"Something that's probably gonna make you hurl later." Karako muttered before returning her attention to Yin, "were you the one who....kinda....made a mountain and dropped it on a terrorist yesterday?"

"dis guy made a mountain?" Kamille chimed in.

"Possibly."

"whoa..."

Yahagi saluted back "I've heard reports of UFO's and an attack on Tokyo in the news reports, I hope nothing actually lives on Mars at least. Stay safe"

Meyer grimaced at his mention of the red planet.
'If there was aliens I'm sure that old hag would do anything to get her hands on them'
"I'll try my best, just send a call before the day after if those pirates attack again. The Culture Club is in a safer position than your school is right now even with only 2 fighters with them. At least I don't have to worry about them wandering off into battle in a mobile suit"

Somewhere in Cluster 26

"I've had it with your sarcastic little comments!" Alpa fumed through the screen at Forma, infuriated by his wisecracks while getting in the way of the information he felt he rightly deserved.
“I don’t have time for this stupidity!”

Forma tried to calm the man down. He certainly wasn't interested in dealing with this right now, especially from him.

“Come on, take a deep breath now. I assure you the next time our cute little students encounter them things will be far more serious. You’ll get the data you’re looking for.”

“You had better not be lying about this Forma.” The transmission abruptly ended, Alpa having enough of dealing with him for the day.

‘The results of the next encounter should be quite impressive…’

Francis maneuvered through the docking bay before reaching the cockpit of Akira’s Kampfer. “Should we pursue?”

“This whole thing feels a bit off.” Akira replied continuing to check the weapons system.

“Well, it’s a trap isn't it?”

“I've been looking around for any trace of those assholes from Side Seven. Couldn't find a thing.”

Thomas paled hearing Akira’s words, getting a bad feeling about their next job. “So it really is a trap? Yikes…”

“Thomas… you really are a coward aren't you?” Marie kicked the ground jumping up to where Akira and Thomas were talking.

“I’m just being cautious!” Thomas shot back at Marie.

“Well me too, but ya’ can’t get out of bed without taking a few risks now and again.
The Titans despise all spacenoids. It’d be nice if we could take ‘em all out at once but… Dammit! This job just smells rotten!”
Akira just smiled at his leader’s frustration. “Well, we’re still getting paid.”

“And we also got a job to do, any problems with that?”

“Not at all.”
‘I’m sure… it’ll be fun!’ Akira relished the chance to ‘play’ with Asuna again.

Alexandria’s infirmary
“Feel okay? Asuna asked Shinn
“Uh Ah a few broken ribs, I hear bones heal in space but…looks like I’m managing.”
“I see…”
“By the way I haven’t thanked you yet.”
“Eh?”
“If you hadn't come I’d be a goner”
"That’s not…I couldn't do anything! I’m…I’m a moron. When I was in solitary I thought…about being in a military school means, what that means to me. I don’t have anyone else, I made friends here…the days have passed pretty productively…but really my time and friends shouldn't be measured in productivity. They’re what I have to protect at all costs. I can’t just not shoot, but I…didn't shoot. I couldn't shoot not even to save the person…most precious to me!!"

"Asuna…what do I do?And when I get in a mobile suit…it’s no good if I’m still like this!”

Asuna bent over to embrace Shinn taking him by surprise

“Just one question, if I become a woman who’s fine killing…to protect the person most precious to me…will you still…love me?” She asked
"If...I had no choice but to kill to protect you…even…even if you hated me for it…I might do it anyway."

He held Asuna in turn

She was reminded of Akira’s face and dropped her helmet

“I can’t! I really shouldn’t be here!”
“Why the hell not!” Shinn shouted
“I killed Instructor Linny! He was always my friend!”
“Did…did somebody say you did that? No! No! One said so! You’re not at fault here!!”

Shinn held his arm around Asuna attempting to comfort her.

“It’s okay. I’ll protect you”
Asuna left the room blushing where she saw Erisia was waiting.

“It’s time for training. Forgot?”

Asuna gulped.

Zeon Remnants (Marie faction) Pazock Class Supply Ship

“All mobile suits, launch!
“We’re beginning the operation!
“Doesn’t matter if it’s a trap or not… We’re still gonna sink that cruiser!
If the brat gets in the way again… don’t hold back! Understand?”

“Yes!” The chorus of soldiers yelled back at their leader's words.

Marie led from the front in her Gelgoog followed by Akira, with a multitude of F2 Type Zakus and Rick Doms launching from the Pazock in preparation for battle.

Aboard Salamis Class Battleship

The peace and quiet aboard the bridge was broken as an operator brought a suspicious shuttle up on screen.
“Unidentified Objects incoming!”

“Looks like a Federation Space launch, but I can’t get an ID!”

“Do we have confirmation?”

“No sir! We can’t establish radio contact!”

“Have one the instructors check, put other pilots on alert”

Outside Cluster 26

“This is Yahagi, I’m moving in to confirm.”
Yahagi broke off from the patrol squad before activating thrusters to slow his approach.
“It’s a launch. I’m moving in closer.”
A certain pilot felt a flash of emotions wash over them as the shuttle detonated upon Yahagi’s approach. If he had moved faster in his inspection he would have been caught in the blast as well.

“We’re reading an explosion!” The operator shouts out to the commander as the shuttle goes up in flames.

“Where’s Yahagi!? Is his suit still operational?” The commander yelled out in disbelief he was having to deal with this twice in as many days.

“We’re trying to confirm now sir! Communications are failing!”

“Particle density increasing! We’re losing communications!”

“Raise the alert level! All ships be vigilant! Contact the GMs on patrol! All hands to battle stations!”

A GM nearby received the alert and began to acknowledge the message,
“This is Petri One. Heading over to the training area-”

The message is abruptly cut off as a beam slices through the mobile suit killing the pilot instantly.

“Incoming fire from above! There’s more of them!”

A hail of fire rains down on a nearby Salamis, striking the bridge and engines before it’s consumed in the subsequent explosion.

The operator quickly shouted an update on the situation,
“Salamis 2 destroyed!”

The commander worriedly whispers to Forma behind his shoulder,
“They’re not really going to attack us are they?”

“That was the deal, but we’d better not make any assumptions when it comes to them” Forma quietly shot back, hoping the others didn’t hear.

“We’ve already lost two GMs!”

“Haven’t you figured out who’s shooting at us yet?!”

“We’ve confirmed the enemy! They’re coming in fast above us!”

Marie’s troops accelerated towards the battleships while three GMs moved to intercept.

“Hah! Where are you aiming?!” Marie taunted effortlessly dodging their fire. Marie raised her naginata preparing to cut them down once she was in range.
“Thomas! Francis! Cover me!”

Yahagi remained at his current location still attempting to contact the Salamis.
“This is Yahagi. What’s going on?”
Yahagi could just about make out the operator appearing on his screen due to the minovsky interference.

“We’ve engaged the enemy. You’ll have to wait for recovery.”

Yahagi’s brow furrowed at the instructions given. He was basically stranded while the battleships were under attack from rogue pirates.

Inside Cluster 26

“Yes, what is it” Meyer was annoyed that one of the fighter pilots was calling him while he was on break. The Culture Club had remained at the embassy until the UN director had approved them to leave for the final leg of the journey.

“A battle’s broken out near the debris field, all hands have been put on alert”

Meyer quickly started paying more attention upon hearing that an attack had begun.

“Is it the pirate’s from yesterday? I’m on my way”

“Is there a problem Lieutenant?” Meyer looked back to see the professor standing behind him leaning against the wall.

“Those pirates are back, I’m going to head out and assist them. Have the club members stay here for now.”

“Yes, I will go find them right now.”
‘They’ve come back and from the sound of it in greater force than before. I need to hurry if I’m going to bring them down this time!’

The shadowy figure was becoming quite annoyed with all the holographic booby traps his guests were leaving him. The shoes were incredibly stealthy but when it came to open combat they were seriously lacking in mobility. Something he'd rectify in the future via turning them into triple changers. But for now he had several annoyances to deal with.

"Wait a minute... Are those bastards on the main road of Carbombya city?"

Indeed they were. As if saying up yours to the cults leader, looking for a way to disrupt his command and control.

"Damn you Megatron. Most of the army is too scattered to respond. Guess I'll have to use my Piranacon's to deal with them. Go forth my pets and devour them!"

Dozens of the mast produced monstrosities surged forth to hunt down the invaders. Anyone that hadn't already run for cover once the fighting started panicked at the sight before them.

The Valley: Recruitment

Rastun's sensor sweep does its work and finds energy signatures just out of Autobot City's borders. They seem to be in a hurry to leave the place, but they're not so fast that Rastun wouldn't be able to catch up. The Astafanel speeds towards the group of primitive mechs, and stops in front of them, still at a fair distance away relative to their position. Judging from their numbers, they would suffice as a distraction to cover himself and his not-quite-trustworthy allies. After a few moments, the group stopped in their tracks when they see the white machine in front of them. They readied themselves into attack positions, but made no other moves. Rastun chuckles, then opens up a comm channel to them.

"Please don't do anything foolish, I'm not here to fight. If I were, a huge chunk of your machines would be scrap by now. Your sensor readings would likely indicate I have similar technology to the Cybertronians that attacked Autobot City, which doesn't speak well of your chances against me.

"So drop the bravado and listen to what I have to say."

The mechs lowered and deactivated their weapons, their pilots likely grudgingly agreeing with Rastun's words. One of them replied, "What exactly do you want from us?"

"Am I right in assuming you're the leader of your band?"

"Yes, I speak for them."

"Good." Rastun then appeals to their pride and says, "All of you have been disgraced and thrashed around, if the wreckage I saw in Autobot city is any indication. Humiliated and tossed aside."

"What's your point?!" the leader blurted out of frustration.

"If you let me finish, I'll get to it. Now, with all of that said, how would you people like to prove yourselves as able fighters? I have a battle of my own, but I can't win it alone. If you and your men help me, your group would be known as heroes in the war-torn nation I am currently fighting in."

The leader of the band mulls this over, but still has reservations. "If we're so primitive compared to you, why come to us in the first place?"

"I may have an advanced mech in comparison to most, but even it doesn't have unlimited power reserves. The intensive fighting has caused my machine to run low on ammo and fuel, so any assistance at all would be graciously appreciated." Rastun is, as they say, bullshitting. Hopefully they're not smart enough to see through it.

After moments of deliberation, their leader finally replies back and says, "Alright, we'll agree to this. Just show the way."

Rastun then proceeds to open the space bridge and leads the crew towards their new battlefield.

A dull section of space

Pre-slam

A dull day for dull pay, that's what Lux often had to deal with. Constant failures yet still a competent enough pilot to keep her mecha from being reassigned and getting shafted to an old Gespent [Although being a psychodriver might have had something to do with her getting to keep her mecha]. It had not been able to save her from the doom of the most dull job imaginable, guard duty. The blonde couldn't help but let out a bored sigh, watching the shipment of supplies flying towards a space station to give them the much needed food. This is what she'd been relegated to, guard duty for foodstuffs. ''I really could do with a bit of action.'' She said, tilting her head and her cigar nearly falling out of her mouth.

After a while later, she hadn't been paying attention to the time at all, her comms crackled to life. ''Cargo has been successfully delivered.'' Oh, that was it? No pirates coming to take the loot of delicious jams and jellies, wheat and apples? No sudden breakdown due to an overlooked wire? Lux leaned back, placing a hand on her chin and gaining an annoyed look across her face. Maybe these constant dull missions were punishment. ''Confirmed, I'll return to base shortly for my next assignment.'' Lux acknowledged, signing off and then spinning around in her mecha. Blasting off towards the base, at least this was something she could enjoy. Flight was always fun, no matter how often it was she had to do it.

Carbombya

"Are you sure about this? It sounds awfully silly that they won't have some sort of back up system in place."

The Predacon was getting seriously annoyed by Brainwave's refusal to accept what he was saying. "Look, we've been over this three times already. Tarantulas can't be controlling everyone directly. There has to be a hub to process the data and issue orders and that hub will require power."

"Okay, sure. But why use Carbombya's shitty infrastructure?"

"What else are they going to do if they want to keep a low profile? Build a giant ass spire everyone can see from orbit? Who the hell is crazy enough to do that?"

"More Megatron's than you'd like to know..." Mused Brainwave. "I'd like to point out once again if this isn't Tarantulas, and I agree it likely is which may not be a good thing, but if it isn't him our plan is worthless."

"I'm aware but I don't know any of Unicron's other servants personally to make a plan to deal with them."

Megatron continued plowing through abandoned cars on the way to Carbombya City's main power plant. The cars left on the road as people ran for cover as the fighting on the outskirts of the city started had made this plan slow going. Slow enough that the overlord's Piranacon's caught up to them.

"Oh this is ridiculous... Those things should be way too slow to catch up to us." The Transtech transformed and once again jumped on Megatron's back to fire upon the Piranacon horde. "Why'd you have to use your particle accelerator cannon first chance you got and scare the shit out of everyone in the city."

"How was I supposed to know? Why didn't you give me any rear facing weapons? I'd be able to take care of this easily if you did."

"Oh shut up, we copied your original vehicle mode. It's your fault for picking an awful one."

The pair argued as Brainwave picked off members of the horde 1 by 1. The power station was in sight, they'd be there in a few minutes. The problem was there would likely been shoes there guarding it and with the razor toothed beasts chasing them they'd be fighting a battle on two fronts.

"Megatron, we have to stop and fight them now! We can't deal with them and the power plants guards at the same time."

"I'm curious what makes you think we're fighting the guards at all. I just need one clear shot, yes!"

"Define clear shot." Brainwave had a feeling he knew where this was going and he didn't like it.

"Use your imagination."

The answer certainly wasn't to his liking. "I'm sure this country is going to love us when we're done..."

Meanwhile

On board the Nava-Hoe

"Hmmm." Aaron Gentles said, observing the sensors on the console, revealing the lone mech with the bizarre IFF code hurtling through space.

"Find anything interesting?" His current guest, Ali Al-Saachez asked, the red haired man staring at the blond.

"Just an odd signal. Seems alone. Would be a good way to keep this trip from being a complete waste."

"Lemme see that..." The mercenary muttered, taking a look, "Polish, huh?"

"Oh?" The Guild Tech replied, "Azrael's got something of a hard on for trolling the Eurasian Federation..." The engineer turned towards a monitor to his side, attempting to identify the model of the machine, "Looks like it's a prototype."

"...Nice."

Moments Later

"Alright, so the rules are pretty simple." Aaron began.

"Whoever bags the sucker gets to sell it back to the greaseball?"

"Of course." After a moment's pause, "Launch!"

With a cackle, the Throne Zwei and Gold Frame launched from the ships mobile suit decks, catapulting into the darkness. The Astray deployed it's Mirage Colloid, turning invisible, and the Zwei sped off towards it's prey, leaving behind a red streak.

Moments later, a voice filled the cockpit of Lux's Mech, "Umm...Hello, hello. This is Second Lieutenant Gary Biaggi with the French Foreign Legion, Space Division. You are in restricted space. Please report your name and affiliation, or we will be forced to interpret your presence as a hostile action. You have 30 seconds to comply, over."

Had been enjoying her small flight when her comms soon came back to life, static words filling up the surrounding space. She'd entered restricted space...? Lux hadn't really noticed, nor seen anything on her sensors that'd told her of such a thing. But the thing was likely just messing up again, making Lux give it a swift punch right against it as if that would really help matters. It didn't, so she turned to the comms. ''This is Petty Officer Kazimierz Lux of the Earth Federation, European Division. If you could direct me to the edge of the restricted Zone it'd be appreciated. My sensors appear to be on the fritz currently.'' She said, letting out a light sigh. She felt something in the back of her head, but it was probably nothing.

Outside Cluster 26

“Asuna!”

“Forget it Erisia. Nothing we can do.”
‘And they say being sensitive is a virtue…’

“Erisia, we’re pulling out. Kerry, follow me.”

“Yes Sir!”

“All trainees, pay attention! This is not a drill! I repeat, this is not a drill!” Forma yells through the communicator.
All trainees on standby, prepare to launch immediately! Follow your orders closely and keep your eyes open!”

‘Launching the students in GM trainers... did he expect this would happen?” The second in command eyed Forma suspiciously, wondering what his agenda really was.

“This is Salamis 1. We’ve engaged enemy mobile suits. Please support as soon as possible!”

Diving through beam fire Marie swiftly cuts down 2 GMs spinning her naginata, laughing all the while.
“More lambs to the slaughter!”
Two other Rick Doms continued to fire bazooka rounds at the second Salamis.

Near the edge of the conflict a GM trainer pilot led a shuttle holding the rest of the academy students away from the battlefield.
“We’ll cover your retreat”

‘The Salamis… Where can we even retreat to?” Emilu pondered how far they would have to be to be ‘safe’ in a situation like this.
‘Asuna…’
Her thoughts for her friend were cruelly interrupted by a blast splitting the GM in half causing it to explode as Emilu watches in shock.
‘This … is war….’ Emilu trembles realizing the pilot she had just heard speaking to them had just been killed. To her horror a Rick Dom flies in front of the shuttle preparing to blast her and everyone else to bits.

“This is almost too easy!” Grins Thomas right before being cut off by Marie.

“Wait! We’re supposed to take out the Salamis and the mobile suits guarding them. Don’t waste ammo on an unarmed launch!”

“I got more than enough ammo right here!”

“Spare me your bullshit!” Marie yells back annoyed with the trigger happy pilot. “You waste all your ammo and we aren’t going to make any money on all this! Now go take out those Salamis’!”

Thomas pauses before grudgingly complying and speeding off back into the battle.

Yahagi: “Those two ships are in trouble!” Yahagi and the trainees with him began returning to support the ships under fire.

Erisia: “Launch sighted to starboard! Magnifying now”

“I’m moving in to support!” Kerry moved ahead of Yahagi’s GM to cover the shuttle launch. However Yahagi sensed danger as he moved closer.

“No! Pull out!”

A shot from below blew off the GMs leg while Yahagi cut the thrusters taking over with Synchro-Mode.

“Calm down! It wasn’t a direct hit!”

“R-Roger.”

“I’m switching controls to automatic, can you still move?”

Kerry failed to formulate a proper response, still panicking from his death flashing before his eyes. Yahagi quickly grew impatient considering the dire situation, which was only about to get worse.
“Hurry it up! And keep your damn mouth shout!”

‘If Yahagi hadn’t taken over by remote Kerry would have been killed just now!’
“Incoming!” Erisia relayed to Yahagi, Akira’s Kampfer closing in to finish Kerry off.

Akira grinned at the prospect of facing someone who could potentially match his skills.
‘Didn’t think he’d dodge… just who is this guy?’
“Now this looks like fun.” Akira fired a blast from his bazooka hitting the asteroid below them, the blast rocking both GMs from behind.

Yahagi cursed as he lost focus of the Kampfer.
“I can see it…!” Erisia moved quickly to counter Akira’s charge.
Kerry screamed ineffectually, too frightened of the Kampfer to even move before curling up waiting for death to claim him as Akira had both his bazookas aimed to take out both GMs at once.

‘Distracted by the debris? And now you’re too slow. Die!”
Right as Akira is about to blow them to smithereens a remote controlled GM trainer rams into him from behind, knock him off aim and both GMs out of his sights.
‘I couldn’t see it? Don’t get in my way!” Angrily Akira quickly turned and changed his target to the GM, blowing it back with one shot.

“Sorry! All I could do was ram him by remote!”

‘Is that Erisia? When did she learn to do that? Never mind that, it’ll have to do!’
“Erisia! Take over Kerry’s suit! Put it on your main viewer!”

“Instructor?”

“Switching to secondary monitor”
‘A modified Kampfer… is this guy supposed to be a Newtype? ‘
“We’ll distract him, then take him out with Kerry’s suit!”

Outside Cluster 26, aboard Salamis

“Give me a status report” Forma demanded to the operator on one of the remaining Salamis’.
“Yes Sir!”

“Asu… A… na… El… ma… What… emer…cy… Asu… Respond! Asuna! Em…ency!

Forma sighed before giving up on the hapless trainee.
‘This is pathetic… To think I got my hopes up for this…’

Other operators frantically reported the status of the battle to their respective commanders.
“This is Salamis One! We need backup right now!”

“One GM Trainer recovered. The student pilot is wounded.”

“It’s too risky to abandon ship right now!”

“Put everyone on standby!” Forma’s commander clenched his fist before striking his arm rest.
‘What kind of monster thought this up…!’

"War?! Gentles. You feel that?"

The Gold Frame decloaked behind them. "Yeah." The claws on the machines back descended, beginning to drain Luxs MS of energy/tow it back to the Nava-Hoe.

"C'mon, PO. We've got aliens to deal with."

The Cultist captain smiled at the terror it felt from the stations occupants. It did not matter if they noticed Warword or not, their end much like the multiverses conversion into the void was nearing.

"DEATH!" The captain signaled his crew

"Glory to Unicron!" the crew responded and readied the ships multitudes of guns to fire
